It took me a thousand years to realize that the “conclusion” of this phase hardly makes any sense and it’s actually “finishing a story.” This has probably been discussed ad nauseam, but how was Murdoc arrested when he’s shown arriving late in the CI video, seemingly to help bail the rest of the band out? Whatever happened to the whole time loop thing? How exactly does this end with Murdoc kissing Moonflower? They couldn’t remember CI....but then that was never mentioned or addressed again...where was that going? I guess this will all be explained in tiktoks or whatever, but the leap between the two videos is weird. Let this be supporting evidence to the regularly imparted Gorillaz fandom wisdom - “Just don’t think about it too much.” Up until this week, I didn’t think about it too much. And then I did.

I’m sure Dumat being defeated the same year andraste was born means nothing

I’m sure this has nothing to do with the fact that andrastes mother was part of a tribe who helped the grey wardens fight and defeat dumat the same year she was born, meaning that she could have been a fetus affected by the taint in the proximity of a dying arch demon

And the fact that nobody knows which grey warden killed dumat, as seven wardens died from injuries from his death throes, and therefore we cannot actually identify a warden who absorbed his soul, means nothing

And I’m sure it is a complete coincidence that andraste had dreams and visions of the being later referred to as the maker her whole life, and behaved strangely, talking about hearing lost voices and seeing strange auras. That absolutely doesn’t sound like anyone else we know

Hate (affectionate) how it's made so clear from the very beginning of part 1 just how loved Paul is by his family and household. Both his parents, Duncan, Gurney, Thufir, even Dr Yueh all clearly care so deeply for this kid, and we're shown that time and time again.

Cut to the end of part two, and almost every one of those people is gone. The only ones who remain are a weird, came-back-wrong version of Jessica, and Gurney who has gone from mentor to worshipper. Paul goes from someone deeply loved and valued for who he is by a small but caring group of people - to someone followed and worshipped and feared by thousands. They're obsessed with him in a way, as a leader and "messiah", but nobody loves him.

The only one remaining who loves him for who he is is Chani, who leaves him because in the end that love isn't enough to bring who he is back.
