I saw everyone was making Sonic ship kids, so I decided to try it as well!

Spirit the Hedgehog. I could NOT decide on colors until I made a human design (this is the third version of him!!!)

I tried to make him look like Sonic and Shadow (cuz he's a Sonadow kid) but I also want him to be unique, but idk :P

floyd/riddle valentine's day headcanons 💙❤️

(okay, this post is more overly detailed than i originally planned because i ended up writing a whole scenario about what their first valentine's day after they start dating could be like. but i still want to share it, so here it is.)

riddle is somewhat conflicted about valentine's day. on the one hand, he was always a bit of a romantic, and as a kid there were times when he dreamed that someday he'd have a special someone to spend this holiday with. but he's changed since he was a kid, and regardless of how he might or might not feel, this year he happens to have an exam coming up in a few days and thinks that studying for it would be a more practical use of his time.

besides, floyd will also be busy working at the mostro lounge that evening. each year they hold a special valentine's event with discounts for couples, and floyd seems to be very focused on helping jade and azul plan for it. what makes valentine's day so important, anyway, when the one you love should be special to you every day? they can just go on a date whenever they like.

he still wants to try and respect the rules of the holiday, though. he knows from books he's read that it would be wrong of him not to get his boyfriend a gift, and he also knows that it's a popular tradition to make handmade chocolates for your partner on valentine's day.

so he buys some chocolate-making supplies and molds--the molds are shaped like hearts and roses, so they're sure to make floyd think of riddle when he eats them. and he does the best he can, knowing floyd will still love them even if they're not perfectly made.

he also buys a card with a simple yet elegant red and gold design, and makes sure it's blank inside rather than having a cheesy prewritten message, so that he can write his own message thanking floyd for bringing so much excitement and joy into his life.

the card he picks probably looks something like this:

he plans to take the chocolate and the card, along with one white rose and one red rose from heartslabyul's gardens, to floyd in the morning and see if they can plan to spend a day together after the exam.

while on his way there, he starts to feel a little embarrassed and wonder if the roses are too much. he doesn't really care about the holiday (or so he claims, but he sure did spend a lot of time preparing for it) and surely floyd doesn't care beyond exploiting it for business purposes, so this is a bit silly, isn't it?

wrong! for floyd's part, they don't have valentine's day in the coral sea, so he's actually been pretty excited for it--which riddle had guessed, since for the last few days he's been constantly asking riddle for advice on decorations and menu items for mostro lounge's event as well as spending quite a lot of his spare time there, presumably helping prepare things.

what riddle fails to realize is that floyd's excitement is about far more than just making money at the lounge.

so, riddle is standing outside floyd's door and about to knock when floyd suddenly comes rushing out and absolutely lights up upon seeing riddle there.

he doesn't even give riddle a chance to get a word in before tearing the gifts from his hands, popping a rose-shaped chocolate in his mouth, and doing a goofy little laugh as he tells riddle he loves him. riddle hopes floyd doesn't see the blush on his face.

"goldfishieee!" he exclaims. "i got you something too, and i just know you'll love it!!"

he runs back into his dorm room and comes out holding a small, very messily-wrapped box of store-bought white chocolate truffles, a plushie of a pink hedgehog holding a heart, and an envelope containing one of those fancy pop-out valentine's cards--specifically, one with a goofy pun on it. i'm picturing something like these:

riddle opens the card and rolls his eyes at the pun while trying to pretend that he's not smiling fondly at it.

he's about to ask about their plans when floyd leans over and drapes his arms around riddle's shoulders, and then says that he absolutely has to come to the lounge tonight for a very special surprise.

riddle is genuinely shocked at this, but he agrees, somewhat reluctantly because he's supposed to be studying--but also secretly excited at the thought of floyd having planned something just for him. he has to enlist cater's help to find something decent to wear.

floyd grabs riddle by the arm and drags him over to a table within seconds of him getting to the lounge. jade takes their order, they talk and tease each other and laugh together like they always do, and they also have fun chatting with some of their other friends who are sitting nearby with their own dates.

riddle almost forgets that floyd was supposed to have some kind of surprise for him, until floyd suddenly excuses himself and then shows back up a few minutes later with a small heart-shaped cake, covered in strawberries and other elaborate decorations.

it turned out that floyd had baked and decorated this cake for him. riddle felt guilty because he'd already eaten more than he meant to for the day, and especially because this must have taken much more work than the chocolates and roses he'd given floyd.

he tells him as much but then floyd tells him he's being silly before snatching the fork from his hand and going "if you're not going to eat it then i guess i'll have to!"

riddle feels a flash of anger because floyd can't just try to take his food, there are rules against such a thing. he takes the fork back and tries a bite of the cake, reasoning that it would be rude not to. it's strawberry flavored and possibly the best thing he's ever tasted.

when they leave the lounge that evening, they end up going back to heartslabyul together and for some reason floyd all of a sudden decides that they're playing tag and makes riddle have to chase him into the rose garden.

floyd didn't have any extra surprise for him, he just wanted riddle to keep having fun with him for a little while longer.

at the end of the day, riddle finds that he doesn't regret having lost a bit of study time for this, and he makes sure to tell floyd how grateful he is. he has to admit to himself that maybe there is something special about valentine's day after all.

It seems to me that the one and only thing we know about Eggman is that he actually knew his grandfather, that he admired him when he was still a child. Much like Sonic's origin, Eggman's origin is intentionally unclear, if not completely unknown. What do you think Eggman's life was like between his birth and the events of Sonic 1 (or perhaps, his "very first" meeting with Sonic)?

Eggman strikes me as a former businessman. Varying elements of his character have stated he either wants to take over the world or just build "the ultimate amusement park." Sometimes its a city.

Generally, he seeks power. Actual power. Fuel. He is not altruistic with his fuel consumption, either. He's 100% willing and able to subjugate living beings as a power source.

And where does he get the materials? Why isn't he in more trouble with the authorities? If they're willing to arrest and incarcerate Sonic the Hedgehog, the guy who routinely defeats Dr. Eggman, why aren't they going to war against Eggman himself?

Because Eggman is rich, powerful and connected. Where do you think GUN got its robots?

Is it any surprise that these don't look that far off from an E-Series robot?

The toes on the feet, the vents on the chest, a domed head...

I imagine the incident on the ARK did not go as planned. The government wanted to cover up Maria's death (and whatever other deaths occurred), as well as cover up what was going on up there at all -- research into immortality and such. They didn't want news of Shadow, or Biolizard, or anything getting out to anyone.

Gerald refused to keep quiet. He descended into madness and planned the extinction of planet earth. Gerald was executed but obviously had a family. That family would need to be paid for their silence. Overnight, the Robotniks became multi-millionaires. Whatever they wanted, they got.

This created the perfect environment for Eggman to become a spoiled brat with infinite resources. Worst of all, he idolized his grandfather, the deadly martyr. I'm sure there were those within GUN that kept very close tabs on Eggman's progress, and they may have even stepped in at some point, hoping to persuade the boy towards a path of "good" at an early age.

Eggman eventually reached a point where he could support himself with his robotics work. Using his family fortune, it blossomed into a massive business. Military contracts were a matter of course.

Eventually he started reaching people who were afraid of the limits he was testing. He was developing dangerous weapons of mass destruction. Delving into the secrets of consciousness. Even dark new sources of energy. He was going too far, and starting to echo his grandfather a little too well.

(Imagine Eggman laying out plans for his space station research facility and somebody from GUN tugging at their collar like "we know how this ends")

But he grew up in a world where nobody had ever told him "no" before. He saw these limits as weakness. A lack of ambition. Every attempt to go around the problem just caused more problems. People started turning their backs on him for being an increasingly dangerous radical breaking the laws of nature.

Eggman came to the ultimate conclusion: if the city won't approve, if the nation won't approve, then go somewhere that will. Even if that means having to build it yourself. Nobody will ever tell him no. And one day, they'll thank him for what he's going to do for this world.

And who's going to stop him? The government running ten year old versions of robots he designed for them?

All he needs now is the location and a power source...

✨ How did you come up with the OC’s name?

Sonic naming conventions, so I went through a list of names that fit her skillsets! Petri like a Petri dish ^^

🧑‍🦳 How old are they?

27!

💞 Do they have any love interests?

Nope! Aside from a tiny crush on her boss, but what non-robotic Eggman lacky can’t say that.

🥞 What is their favorite food?  

She needs her fill of coffee every day if she wants a chance at staying upright. Aside from that she enjoys pastries and breakfast foods! Usually during a busy night though, she isn’t an early riser.

💼 What do they do for a living?

If she had her way she’d be working her old job as Eggman’s Secretary! While not the line of work she dreamed of, she’ll take any chance to get closer to the doctor and his resources someday. For now she’s interning at the Chaotix detective agency in exchange for their skills.

🏐 Do they have any hobbies?  

She’s an avid chess player! Though she doesn’t like playing on a competitive level. Petri adores board games and puzzles, and enjoys any activity that gets her mind racing and an opportunity to show her skillsets!

🎯 What do they do best?  

Setting her mind to something! Once she’s made a decision, she’ll be hard pressed to go back on it. Whether it’s due to arrogance or genuine passion is debatable, but either way she won’t settle for anything that she doesn’t deem to herself as successful.

🥊 What do they love? What do they hate?  

Petri loves her work as a chemist!! She cares about what she does a lot, and strives to one day create her own company. And as much as Petri loves the idea of success she hates any notion of not being needed or acknowledged for her talents even more. She’s also somewhat dismissive and snide, but can’t stand when people respond to her on the same level. 

📸 What is one of your OC’s best memories?  

Hanging out with Orbot and Cubot during slow office days! Whether it’s the chance to chat their processors to mush, or play a friendly game of checkers, those little visits secretly shine in her memory.

✂️ What is one of your OC’s worst memories?  

I Can’t really say yet! She sure isn’t happy about losing her job though.

🏚️ Is their current design their first one?  

Nope! I had a couple scrapped designs before I landed on what I liked. Originally she was going to be a lot more studious, a paleontologist, and she had a long braid for a little while! 

🧠 What originally inspired this OC?  

Petri was only developed as an attempt to design a hedgehog character to see what I could come up with myself! What was meant to be a one off sketch quickly turned into a slew of ideas once it dawned on me how much i’d enjoy making a more antagonistic character! If I created her now knowing what she would evolve into I probably wouldn’t have made her a hedgehog, but I really love the way she is now.

🎬 What genre do they belong in?  

Whatever you’d label sonic. Not as much mystery as you’d expect a lady tagging along with the Chaotix to have though.

🏳️‍🌈 What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?  

Bisexual trans woman! 

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 How many siblings does your OC have?  

Only child!

🧑‍🍼 What is the OC’s relations w/their parents like?  

Not strained by any means, but not really on speaking terms. I think Petri is a little too prideful to let them back into her life before she’s established herself the way she envisioned.

💜 What do you like most about the OC?  

She is just sooo silly and holds a special place in my heart due to how much joy I’ve found from developing her! I’ve planned out an entire story around her and it’s the most passionate I’ve felt toward an oc in a very long time! To be succinct, I just like writing her :)

🖍️ How often do you draw/write about the OC?  

A lot comparatively, but i created her during a rough time and haven’t been able to draw as much as I’d want. So like! As often as I can.

🔪 Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?  

Nope! I don’t think I’ve ever killed off any of my own characters, I’m much more into the idea that she has to face her mistakes than use her for a big self sacrificing gesture.

💀 Does your OC have any phobias?

Petri is much more anxiety prone than she lets on, and is deeply afraid of being forgotten. Aside from personal fears she doesn’t like being around flickies and small animals.  

❤️‍🔥 Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?  

Currently she has a guttural hatred towards Sonic for costing her her job, but he doesn’t know that. (Or her.) But other than that… well. :)

This is the only episode I remember watching during the summer when the Hub network first aired Shezow.

This title card gives me Sonic the hedgehog 1 start screen vibes.

This show has a guitar hero like VR game and I also like guy's green spikey hair rock star hair.

I had to look up if there even was a VR guitar hero but there is a game similar to it.

I like it that when when Guy grabbed Maz into camo outfits he already had a sidekick character ready called Dan-o-flage.

Maz just saying there's a changing room while Guy is in Shezow form yet Maz is wearing stolen camo outfit.

I didn't see him pay for it unless he got it off screen.

Anyways the Little Moochers remind me of the Munchkins from the Wizard of Oz but do crime and they all have helium voices.

I like it that Shezow just joke about the bank not having a drive thru while also causing property damage by hulk smash breaking in the bank.

Couldn't Shezow just sneak through the vents or sneak around the back to cause less property damage?

Guy almost blew his cover as Shezow since he didn't do the fake female voice but good thing everyone was too busy with the crime to notice.

The battle music gives me Splatoon vibes 2:51-3:14.

I like it that Maz is useful and helping the bank hostages leave the scene safely while the battle is still happening.

I like it that it's canon that everyone knows that Shezow is sidekick less and gets called out on why Maz is here.

But I'm glad this cartoon gave the sidekick something to do instead of just having them be there.

My favorite pose for Shezow and the guard keeps messing up Dan-o-flage's name by calling him something other than his sidekick name.

Maz gets no credit since he helped move those people to safety while Shezow was busy fighting villains but all he gets is a pity clap from a random background character with no name.

But life be like that though.

Guy's expression is like "Hey there some money under my boot and don't mind if I do."

Which he shouldn't do and also where are the camera's in the bank that would catch Shezow stealing?

Also the autograph paper is the beta pitch design for Shezow which is a nice touch.

I remember seeing that design online when looking up the show at the time the show got cancelled and wanted to know more about it.

I like that the cops come in at the last minute to try to stop the crime but Shezow and Maz already got it.

Also I want a episode where it's just Guy's cop dad and his cop sidekick in a episode.

Like Shezow (Guy) just let's him have a cool hero moment to make him feel better maybe his dad would be less angry at Shezow.

I like it that the background music in the bank is just the Shezow theme but a elevator version of it and slower in speed.

It's a nice touch.

I like it that Guy's guitar strings broke in the VR game which symbolizes his guilt for stealing the money.

The only way Guy could get the full money back as a refund he might need the receipt but if it's a game store the game console might lose value.

I know from experience.

Apparently in Megadale 500 dollar bills exists but I'm not sure if the USA $500 is a thing you can still use.

Maz says "That's gangster." like a nerd thinking he's cool.

Also the show mentions that the cameras were on to record Shezow stealing and the secret identity thing which is a first for a cartoon calling itself out.

Most just pretend that cameras at the bank are not everywhere but the show did the oh yeah the bank didn't see the video so now you have a time limit thing.

This is before Tik Tok was a thing where everyone had cameras and recorded everything.

Oh yeah Shelia says there is a rule if Shezow steals literally anything then the shero will just shrink out of existence.

This is another reason I remembered this episode.

Later Guy proceeds to make fun of leprechauns and jockey's so basically small people.

I like how Guy is not freaking out that he is becoming Ken doll sized and is like this is fine then gets told it's a Shezow side effect that Guy will become Antman small.

Guy calls it Sherinkage and Shelia calls him a thug to his tiny face.

It's cool that the store returned Guy's stolen money VR game consle with a full refund even though Maz had the receipt.

Most stores wouldn't take it back without the receipt or give store credit instead of the full amount.

Also Guy returned it as a tiny being and I'm surprised no one thought he was a bug and tried to squish him or any animal wanting to eat him.

I would love to see that side of the episode.

Also the ring doesn't work when the side effect is in play so that's a nice touch to the lore.

Also is it double stealing if you destroy the bank camera footage?

Also the short jokes are everywhere and I like how Guy's voice is normal while the Little Moochers voices where helium sounding.

Also the cops like donuts joke thing.

Also Kelly holding mini Guy is a weird out of context image if you have never seen the show.

Oh the show found a loophole where someone else or a outside force has to destroy the evidence.

Also the show called out Maz for not paying for his outfit and gaslight him like the police is there.

But Maz still got away with not paying for his outfit but Maz doesn't have powers so it's good.

I give this a 8/10.

Fun Fact in the dub of the anime Mix Master there is a character called Chino who has the same voice actor as Guy Hamdon.

I got a request a long time ago that doesn't exist anymore of Guy in his VR rock gear guitar rocking with Chino from this anime.

They were both on model but in sketch form not colored in.

This episode made me remember this anime was a thing and I might review this too.

You conveyed Aleena as you described her really well— watching her make the same mistakes again that endangered her country the first time is like watching a train wreck. And if you have a Shadow rant locked and loaded I’d love to hear it lol

You're an enabler and I appreciate you.

I will preface this by saying I'm not really a Shadow fangirl. I like him, but Edgy the Hedgie is not a character I have ever spent long hours trying to crawl into the headspace of. WITH THAT SAID...

The thing I love about Shadow is that he is a character that was explicitly made by artificial means, but is entirely defined by his self-determination. And that, despite all character development and an entire game about it, remains in flux to this day and it is SO COOL as a character conceit.

His whole thing is "This is Who I Am", but the very fact that he needs to decide that and announce it... He is constantly having to question that fact, because he--more than any character in the franchise--does not know if what he is doing is his design or his choice. He IS artificial, but in a world with sentient robots that have emotions, WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN?

In Shadow the Hedgehog (the game), there is ONE easily missed line that confirms he's even the original Shadow - if you don't finish every storyline and the True Ending and hear that one line from Eggman while you're busy trying not to die, there is a lot of doubt that implies the Shadow we know now is just an android clone. And in those other endings, Shadow angsts and dramatises and then carries on anyway, because that does not define him.

And whether he is or not, there's still an awful lot of subtext that implies the original Shadow was designed after the Echidna prophecy of Super Sonic. And when we first meet him in Sonic Adventure 2, he is very much defined by Sonic, even though he's ostensibly unrelated. He had to die lose his memory and find himself to become his own character, and I personally think they played that arc out SO WELL in the games. He is now Shadow, he is separate, he is his own character, with his own family and motivations, but he will never fully escape the fact that he was made to be something else, and can never fulfil that role.

Maria died.

He failed before he even had a chance to try and save her.

So. When I bring Shadow in for the Lost Prince, I am absolutely smacking him with the fact he was made to be an artificial version of a prophecy he wasn't around for. Sonic up and dealt with both Eggman (in the Sonic 3 & Knuckles version of said prophecy) and Chaos (in the Adventure version) before Shadow even woke up.

And that's HORRIBLE. Being reminded that you were made for something, you were made in someone's image, and to then meet that person and realise you never had a chance of being anything like them?

Of COURSE Shadow resents Sonic, even if he kind of likes him, and I could spend another however long this has been talking about their relationship. Sonic is so secure in himself, in his choices. He never questions who or what or why he is. He never feels a need to. He is always confident that what he's doing is right, even when everyone around him is telling him he's wrong. He's so visibly loved by everyone, while Shadow...

Shadow has Rouge. He has Omega. He has Sonic himself, in a strange way. But is that enough?

To me, Shadow is in this constant battle with himself. Whether he's good or evil or right or wrong or whether he serves GUN or if he's making his own choices, or if he's Rouge's friend, or her subordinate, or an alien, or a human, or (in the Lost Prince) a mobian, or nothing at all.

And in this fic, the one constant he has, that he is not Sonic... when Sonic too was supposed to be raised and moulded and built into something almost mechanical... that's been called into question, and... how does one deal with that?

But anyway. Shadow is so complex, and so interesting, and I basically love to poke him.

And it's hilarious that he's going to be voiced by Keanu Reeves, I CANNOT WAIT.

I don’t know whether to call this a “writing prompt,” because it’s such a DETAILED idea, that it’s more like a summarized story in its own right.  I would honestly be HONORED if you would flesh this ‘summary’ out into a full short story with your beautiful prose, but if it’s ‘just too much,’ then I understand… it’d also be cool just hearing your thoughts about this idea of mine!

I call it: “Nine’s Happiest Ending.”

Basically, it draws from two theories that’ve been going around. First: that Sonic’s going to rely on Nine to recombine the pieces of the Paradox Prism. Second: that all the different “alternate versions” of Sonic’s friends, (example: Mangey, Nine, Sails,) represent ‘shattered fragments’ of each’s friend’s personalities, and once the Paradox Prism is recombined, the alternates will also be recombined into their original ‘Prime’ selves (and effectively die.)

On with the story!

The Chaos Council has been defeated.  Sonic brings the last Paradox Shard to Nine in Nine’s lab, then sits in a chair as Nine gets busy combining all the Paradox Shards.  As he works, Nine notices that Sonic seems a bit depressed and guilty-looking.  When he questions Sonic about this, the hedgehog admits that he’s feeling morally conflicted about having all the different “alternates” of his friends (and their worlds) effectively DIE, so that he can get his “original” world and “original” friends back.  To Sonic’s surprise, Nine calmly assures him that it’s all okay, that recombining the Paradox Prism is the best possible choice.  He even hugs Sonic reassuringly as he says this.  Sonic is deeply touched, and says that Nine is one awesome little guy as he hugs him back.

But Sonic is unaware that Nine has a special little gizmo hidden in his back pocket.  It’s programmed so that when the Paradox Prism is recombined, and Nine and all his fellow alternates “resynchronize” back into in the fox called Tails… it’ll be in a manner of NINE’S OWN DESIGN.  

The final shard is put into place.  There’s a brilliant flash of light… and then Sonic is back in Green Hills will Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Big, Shadow, and Tails!  They’re all so happy!  

Except that Tails doesn’t QUITE seem 100% like his usual self, for some reason.  For example, he seems to be almost flatly ‘going through the motions’ of friendship with all his friends… except for Sonic, (with whom it’s completely heartfelt.)  At one point, Sonic catches sight of Tails staring and touching his two tails as if marveling at their fluffiness.  And a few times, it almost seems like the little fox flinches at the sound of his own name.  

But Sonic doesn’t give it THAT much thought!  

Later that day, Tails goes up to Sonic, and convinces him to spend the whole rest of day together… just the two of them, no one else!  Sonic and Tails go all over Green Hills.  Tails is DELIGHTED by all the blue skies, beaches, and palm trees!  Then they go to Tails’ workshop, and fly around a bit in the Tornado and eat chili dogs for dinner and spend the rest of the day blissfully goofing off together, until Sonic falls asleep…

…The next morning, Sonic wakes up.  To his shock, he finds that his fox friend has been working all through the night, constructing seven spidery mechanical tails for himself, which he then attaches to his body.  As he turns around and faces the thunderstruck hedgehog, Nine happily thanks Sonic for everything.  His life is finally happy and complete.

Alright onto the story, I hope you like it!

The rebellion was won. The Chaos Council have been defeated, now put in prison for their dictatorial crimes. With Nine's help infiltrating the base and helping in taking it down from the inside, and the Rebel's firm determination, the war was finally won. They were finally free.

But that was a part of their victories, the biggest one being the Shard, the LAST Shard they need to fix the world in Nine's hands. However, Nine noticed that Sonic didn't really treat it as a victory.

It came at a cost of course. In order to restore the world, the Shatterverse will have to disappear, and everyone who resided in it. They'd fade and become nothing but mere traits, it's a rather complex way to die, Nine mused. Nine and some other variants accepted it and others took it understandably. Anger, denial at their own identity, tears at their true existence.

It didn't matter if they didn't accept it, it was going to happen anyway. Nine moved to grab another shard to attach it to the others when he paused.

Sonic had been surprisingly silent. He was usually running around, exploring his lab with wide shimmering eyes of excitement, or prodding Nine on what he was making and keeping Nine company. Nine didn't mind it, he liked not being alone anymore. So he found himself confused when he realized this.

He turned over to look at the hedgehog, who was sitting on a red stool against the wall, looking at the ground with a conflicted look in his eyes.

His ears were drooped.

Placing the shard down Nine turned to the urchin once more.

"What's wrong?"

"Hmm?"

Sonic looked up, probably having been startled by his thoughts. He looked surprised at the question, before glancing at the ground once more.

"N-nothing it's just...", Sonic sighed as he glanced up at the metal kitsune once more, "Is this the only thing we can do? In order to restore the world the Shatterspace will have to stop existing? A-all of you will stop existing...I mean, I want to go home but..."

"Sonic.", Nine spoke calmly as he placed a hand on his only friend's shoulder, the hedgehog looked up at him with surprised, yet fragile, eyes.

"It's ok."

"No, it's not! You all should be able to live too, and the rest of the Shatterspace. Just all of it will be gone, all of you will be gone when we combine them-"

Sonic was cut off as a certain bundle of fluff, one that would have never done this, wrapped their arms firmly around him a genuine embrace.

"This is the best option. They won't just be gone. They'll still be there, just faintly. I'll be there, right by your side. I promise everything will be ok. This is the best option, we'll be ok. You'll be ok. I promise."

Sonic was stunned into silence for a moment, he didn't expect to be hugged by Nine of all people. The fox was usually so closed off. It didn't last long as he wrapped his arms around the fox to reciprocate the reassuring affection.

He chuckled softly.

"You are one awesome little guy, you know that?"

Nine snorted with amusement. Of course, now he knew that but Sonic was the one who gave him the idea of a new home. He made the gadget beforehand, one that'll give him full control of how they combine once more, a Tails in his own design.

He'll keep his promise.

He gave the hedgehog a light squeeze before pulling back. Smiling softly at the symbol of hope in his eyes, he smiled back.

"I know."

He walked back to the Prism, Sonic following behind. He lifted the shard, the final piece they needed. He turned to Sonic and held out his hand.

"Ready?"

Sonic nodded, taking his hand, his was firm and warm. Nine unconsciously squeezed lightly in response to the feeling.

And with that, the final piece was put into place. Everything was beginning to restore, the Shatterspaces combining to bring back the world they split from, every variant combining into the person they once were.

Nine could feel it. He couldn't see, hear, or think, but he could feel it. Sonic was gone, he couldn't find his hand anymore, nononopleasedontleavemealoneagain, He could feel himself becoming one, he could feel his body combining and squashing together with the other Tails. His thoughts, he didn't have any before-, were combining into theirs, no longer becoming his own. He was condensing, mashing, his limbs and brain combining with the others, and hecould'ntbreathhecouldn'tmovewherewashepleaseworkplease-

It stopped. He could feel his thoughts returning, he wasn't being mashed anymore, he could move, he could breathe, he could think. He was in control. He found himself laughing giddy with joy.

It worked.

Sonic opened his eyes to lush green grass. Not overgrown like in the Boscage Maze but soft, and short, and right. He sat up quickly, looking around. When he took in the scenery, his eyes shimmered with joy, and a huge smile found its way on his face.

He was finally home.

Getting up quickly, he sped off in search of his friends. Speeding past, he nearly knocked a certain cat over.

"Big! Froggy! You're here, you're really here!"

He gave the feline a heartfelt hug, the cat was confused but not one to turn down a hug and carefully hugged back, not to prick his hand on the hedgehog's quills. After a split second, Sonic let go and ran off once more.

"Gotta go, I've got to see the rest of our friends!"

The purple cat confused waved at the already-gone blue blur. Sonic ran, enjoying the fresh familiar breeze of the wind ruffling through his quills, the soft smell of water and grass meeting his nose. He ran, and ran, looking everywhere for them. The chirps and chatter of flickies met his ears.

That's when he saw them, crowded around the familiar palm tree by the beach. Amy, with her usual red dress, pink quills, and flicky, Knuckles with his usual white mittens, red spines, and usual hard-headed expression, Rouge with her usual outfit of purple, white fur, and sultry gaze, and...

Tails, with the usual baby blues, the orange fluffy fur, and child-like wonder.

He missed them so much.

"Gang!"

They didn't even have time to react before the overjoyed urchin pulled them into a group hug. All of them let out exclaims of surprise, but Sonic pays them no mind. He missed them so much. Eventually, he lets them go.

"I missed you all so much! You're all you again!"

The others, other than Tails who gazed at him with an unclear expression, looked at each other in confusion before turning back to the oddly more chipper-than-usual hedgehog. Knuckles spoke.

"What are you talking about?"

"What am I talking about? I-wait don't you all remember the whole being shattered and..."

He trailed off when it didn't look like it was ringing any bells. He smiled and waved a hand.

"You know what, never mind. I'm just happy to see you all.", all of them raised their eyebrows, but he simply continued to beam. They soon relaxed and the usual chatter soon formed. Knuckles and Rouge with their usual banter and Amy being sweet and passionate as usual, and Sonic was being Sonic.

But the blue hedgehog noticed that his little buddy was surprisingly quiet. Tails was gazing around the beach with childlike wonder, he felt the sturdiness of the tree trunk beside him and picked up sand letting it slip through his fingers in curiosity.

When the others talked to the fox, those baby blues seemed to dim with boredom, and the kitsune's voice was rather flat and factual, but when Sonic spoke or acknowledged him, the kits eyes seemed to shine more, and his voice was filled with joy. When his name was spoken, it looked like the child flinched, and Sonic even caught him feeling his Tails, almost mesmerized by them.

He found it odd like something wasn't right. But he brushed that feeling off, maybe the fox remembered what happened and he missed being whole again. He decided he'd ask the fox later, knowing it'd just raise some eyebrows from the others. After hanging out the others went off, having things they needed to do, leaving the hedgehog and fox, who didn't seem to have anything going on.

The hedgehog turned to the kitsune, who brightened up in his presence.

"So, how're you doing little buddy?"

The kit seemed to pause in surprise at the affectionate term, but blissful joy soon took its place.

"I'm doing ok. I'm glad you're ok too, still running around and all."

Sonic paused at the odd comment, before chalking it up to some kind of light ribbing. He smiled and switched between stretching and running in place.

"Yep! You know me, gotta get those laps in!", he stopped and turned to his best friend beaming, "So how 'bout you? Got any new inventions?"

Tails paused, and then glanced at the ground, feeling his tails again. It seemed like they weren't something he was used to.

"Uh...yeah. Yeah, I got a ton of inventions! But, I'm not really working on anything right now, and I don't really have anything to do.", the fox glanced over at him expectantly.

Luckily Sonic caught on.

"Well...I don't seem to have anything to do either, so....You wanna go get some Chili Dogs?"

Tails seemed to be confused with the idea of Chili Dogs like he never heard about them before. He snapped out of it soon though, and nodded, smiling gently, his eyes shimmering with euphoria. That was what happened the rest of the day. Just two best friends hanging out. Sonic noticed that Tails seemed more interested in the surroundings and nature of Green Hills and actually seemed confused about what a flicky was. Sonic found it odd, but when he asked about it, Tails simply told him he was fine, that he was just so happy to be hanging out with him.

Then Sonic asked if he remembered, if he was him, and the fox's response was...odd. The kit seemed to tense up at the question before they turned to Sonic with a smile, a somewhat reassuring smile trying to pass off as a joking one, asking what Sonic was talking about, that he was the Tails he's always known, maybe even better.

Sonic didn't think much of it, he was just happy to be hanging out with his little bro. When they got to the fox's workshop, it didn't seem like a place that was familiar to the owner, which again pushed Sonic to ask if the kit was alright, the response is that he was tired. Glancing outside, the hedgehog noticed how dark it was now.

Agreeing to turn in for the night, the two went to bed in Tails' home, Tails was on the bed, even though the fox offered it to Sonic, who turned him down for the couch. When Sonic closed his eyes, he was in slumberland immediately.

Sonic woke to the typical chirping of flickies. He sat up yawning and stretching, beginning to mumble good morning to his roommate before realizing the bed was empty. The hedgehog scratched his head in confusion, before frowning with both concern and annoyance on remembering the fox's habits.

He sighed and dashed out of the house and to the workshop. The door was closed, but he could hear the child tinkering away, most likely having worked all night. He knocked on the door.

"Hey bud, you in there?", he knew he was, it was just a habit.

"Yeah, come on in! There's something I want to show you actually!"

Sonic paused at the mention of a surprise, before letting excitement slightly take hold. He opened the workshop door to find the fox tinkering away on something, which was unfortunately covered from his view.

Sonic began to walk over to the fox.

"You know bud, as much as I'm touched that you made something awesome for me, you can't keep putting off your sleep to work on your inven...tions...", Sonic trailed off as he got to the kit, seeing just what he was working on.

Seeing his 'surprise'.

There were tails. metal tails, wrapped around the body of the kit, covering his namesake. No, covering his little brother's namesake. He felt his heartbeat increase as he began to realize who this really was.

Noticing his silence, the fox in question turned to him with crazily satisfied eyes, his smile was joyful, almost tender.

"I know you're more used to the two tails on him, but I couldn't really get used to it. Felt weird just leaving them out in the open, you know?"

Sonic couldn't form a sentence, shock taking over his body.

"N...ni...", was all he could utter.

The fox only smiled with glee and giddiness.

"Hi Sonic, I told you I'll be by your side didn't I?", his voice started out soft, then raised with bubbly excitement, "Besides, it'd be much better this way! I gotta admit I can see why you wanted to restore the shards so much, there's so much grass, trees, clean water - this place is paradise!"

Sonic didn't respond as Nine continued to ramble, he wanted to take a few steps back, to process what was happening, but he was frozen in place.

"-riends are kinda annoying but I can live with that, as long as they don't bother me I'm ok with them! Now nothing can get in our way!", the fox approached the urchin, and gently took his hands in his squeezing them softly, baby blues started into shocked emeralds with nothing but adoration and affection, with nothing but love, "We'll be together from now on no matter what. We'll go on adventures, beat Eggman, eat Chili Dogs, we can do everything we did before! Thank you Sonic, without you I would never have had anything to fight for. I wouldn't have found hope if I never met you, I would still be alone."

Nine smiled as he happily pulled the thunderstruck hedgehog into a loving embrace.

"Thank you Sonic, I'm so happy, I feel so complete. You gave me everything I ever wanted, and I'll give you inventions or gadgets that you need. We'll never be apart again.", tears of joy, of relief, of utter exhaustion began to spill from the broken fox's eyes,

"We'll be together forever."

(This is not a fanfic as such... I think so...)

To begin with, the first thing I imagined is that this begins maximum like one or two months after what happened in the second movie, Tails and Knuckles are already better adjusted to their new life or family dynamics and both share the attic with Sonic, room shared Yay!

Ahem- anyway, I imagine it started off with a quiet, slow day, Maddie and Tom were at their respective jobs, while Tails is up in the attic probably on a computer he invented himself, while Knuckles is where Maddie normally is. he does his yoga routines, trying to meditate in peace.

And Sonic? Sonic is in the room that was remodeled two months ago looking for what to watch on the new television to try to kill his boredom, not wanting to interrupt his brothers from his own business at the moment.

In the middle of his quick channel scan he ends up on one randomly, leaving the remote by his right side on the couch as he lets out a bored groan, sinking deeper into the couch as he sits upside down, that's when he's about to of thinking of a plan that probably involves getting into little trouble, is when you listen to a specific program presentation on TV, your tired gaze goes to the screen as soon as you hear the music of the program that follows.

His tired eyes immediately widen a bit as he continues to stare at the screen.

The show's bright colors, music, animation, and character design is what instantly grabs your attention, and in a couple of seconds you're sitting upright on the couch as your ears wiggle to the sound, your eyes they were bright now as he continued to watch the program he had never seen before.

-"Wow…"

It's the only thing that comes out of his mouth as a smile appears on his lips, it seems that in the end he found something interesting that he could see.

Only 5 minutes had passed and Sonic could admit that he was hooked, during the 10 years he spent living in Green Hills hidden and watching from the window of some houses apart from his parents' to see something on television, never before He had seen some program that would hook him so much, it's not like most of the inhabitants he was watching started watching programs like this, so running into this one was a real gold mine for him.

He had lost track of time a bit as he continued to watch, but you can't blame him, the action, the characters, the humor, everything, he was really liking it, the smile on his face wasn't something that could be easily erased now.

He was so hooked that not even the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs got him out of it.

-"Hey Sonic"-

His gaze moved a little away from the television while he went to the source of the voice, it was his little brother, who was now observing a little what was being projected on television.

-"Hey little buddy"-He said as he smiled warmly at the two-tailed fox, his gaze went from the television to his brother, and the gears began to move in his head.

-"Would you like to watch this show with me? You've been cooped up there too long and I'd like to spend time with my favorite little brother."- A playful smile spread across his lips as he patted the empty space to the right of him. .

Tails smiled as his twin tails twitched. -"I'm your only little brother"- he replied as he let out an amused snort, but still accepting the invitation by sitting next to his older brother.

-"Yes well, anyway! You probably liked this program, there is a certain character that maybe caught your attention"- Said the hedgehog as he wrapped his arm around his brother to ruffle the fur on his head a little, earning himself a protest but also a small laugh from the fox.

-"Of course, if you say so"-

bruce. bruce, in his childhood, had the same haircut the whole time!! then his mother died and she cut it for him so for about a year and a half (nearing 10 years old) he had this steadily growing mop of hair that was not cleaned or brushed. occasionally alfred would attempt to get it clean but bruce would hiss like a feral cat so it didn’t get very far

THEN he shaved most of his hair off because it was unsalvageable to a nearly ten year old

then he had a FUCK TON of teenage mistakes. including bleached slightly long hair, although he kept it short at the back because bruce in my head never wants to revisit his Grief Hair phase <33 there were a lot more mistakes but i don’t have those pinpointed but i haven’t decided on them yet! know that he had frosted tips at one point though. it’s important to me.

as an adult he has the regular ass haircut he has in every comic lmao. as bruce it’s just neatly combed, as brucie it’s always sleep-mussed or sex-mussed, and as matches malone his hair is slicked back with so much gel it fucking drips. as matches malone he is a slimy little disgusting rat by design. in his secret drag persona he wears a wig like a coward.

dick. as a kid, dick has the same haircut as his father, whatever that might be!! he’s a baby mimicry and it’s adorable. he also briefly copied his mother’s hair only to discover it took way too much work

the father part also applies to bruce! although i don’t believe dick saw bruce as his father until he was well on his way into adulthood i do believe that he copied his haircut. i will not explain this clash with anything other than imagining dick as a tiny bruce clone is hilarious

The screen flickers open to a new room this time, the space a brightly lit hangar. A sleek, bright red plane dusted lightly with snow sits in the middle of the space, only partially visible through the video's view, and the tall walls of the room are strung with lines of twinkling, multicolored festive lights. The floor and every semi-flat surface that can be seen is covered in colorfully wrapped packages of varying sizes and shapes, some shiny and reflective, others printed with festive patterns and icons, circles, or stripes. Some are topped with glitter dusted ribbons, others velvet-like bows. Yet more are being carried on the backs of small spider shaped robots, that move in neat lines from the stacks of gifts to the tail end of the plane where they deposit their cargo, before returning to the piles once more. Each of the bots is sporting an appropriately sized elf hat.

In the middle of the activity stand Miles and Sonic, both of their backs towards the camera and the hedgehog has his head tilted to rest atop Miles' shoulder. The fox is wearing a dark brown suede coat that reaches down to his knees, usual sneakers swapped out for a pair of heavy, laced up snow boots, and atop his head sit a spiraling set of antlers that twist up above his head, decorated with bunches of holly and deep red poinsettias. The thick petals of the flowers match the color of Sonic's own thick coat, his reaching down to mid calf and lined with a trim of cream colored fur, gold stitching paint the twist and flourish of wind and snow along the lower edge of the coat, the designs growing sparser as they rise along the back and pass beneath a thick black belt. The top of the coat sports a matching cape across the shoulders, the outfit finished off with a flopping hat pulled down by a fluffy ball on the end and a set of slick black boots, one of which is lazily crossed over the other.

There's the murmur of discussion that barely reaches the audio equipment, muffled by the low tapping clicks of the Arach-Droids' legs as they scuttle about their business. "Ahead of schedule," Miles is saying, flipping over the page of the clipboard he holds. "Just don't take too long, or we risk falling behind."

"Tell that to your tech," Sonic all but grumbles, tossing a pointed thumb over his shoulder. "It's been fighting against me all day." With an exaggerated sigh of misery, Sonic shifts his head to rest just his chin against Miles, glancing over towards the camera with a pout. Green eyes scan over the computer's screen, before pointed blue ears perk to attention and a grin stretches across his face. "Hey, it's finally on!" He announces, quickly pushing off from Miles and hopping over the line of marching spider droids, until he's close enough to properly address the camera with an excited wave.

"Hello everyone! I know it's been a little while since we've answer a question, me and Miles have been pretty busy with getting everything ready for the holidays and that hasn't left a lot of time for much else." Spreading his arms out in a lazy shrug, Sonic gives a put-upon sigh. "Gotta tell ya, this Santa business is a rough gig." The blue blur turns away from the camera again, throwing that brilliant grin back to Miles and the hard working droids. "Lucky for me, I've got the best helpers you could ask for."

Across the room, the little spider machines give a symphony of chirping sounds in greeting, continuing their efforts uninterrupted as Miles turns to give the camera a wave of his own. "Sonic, where did you even find that computer?" The fox's usually neutral expression breaks into an amused smile, his voice touched with a laugh. "That thing's ancient, I didn't know we even still had it."

"It was in your lab storage!" Sonic asserts with a waving gesture of his hands towards the camera and its attached device, his ears tilting back just a little. "And it looked modern enough!" The defensiveness of his tone has the fox breaking out into a bout of chittering laughter where he stands, giving a full-fledged grin towards the camera for the first time.

It has the pout pursing Sonic's mouth melting into a soft smile, one full of an obvious fondness. Though it shifts to amusement, when he tilts his head back towards the camera. "This is why I prefer when he handles the techno stuff, but anyway!" He turns back around, clapping his hands together. "I sure hope you've all been good this year," Sonic points at the camera, giving the viewer a stern look. It rapidly breaks down into another cheeky grin. "I'd hate to have to leave coal in anyone's stockings!"

The hedgehog snickers to himself, grinning against the knuckles of one hand. In the gap beside him, further back into the hangar, Miles moves to one of the now-emptied work tables and sets down his clipboard. Instead picking up a new bushel of greenery, and busying himself with attaching it among the other plants decorating the antlers on his head.

"But no matter what you get or don't get come morning, we both wish you all a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday, whatever you celebrate!" There's a boundless affection in Sonic's expression, fondness like which he had looked at Miles with just moments ago. Quiet, but powerful. "Holidays aren't always as good as they should be, sometimes whole years aren't, but I hope each of you was able find some joy this past year, and that you can find some tomorrow too. And if you'd like, come tell us about your favorite things to do during the winter months, or favorite holiday song to listen to!

We'd love to hear about it!" Sonic gives a playful little salute, grinning brightly. "Now if you'll excuse us, we have a bunch more deliveries to do before the nights over, see you guys later!" He waves again, before turning his attention to the computer itself, frowning in thought as he does. Whatever he's trying to accomplish, doesn't seem to work, and the hedgehog ultimately abandons it in favor of hurrying back over to Miles.

The camera is still running, recording as he comes to pause before the fox— who's hoisted himself onto the work table, twin tails swishing about on either side of him —head tilted in an unspoken question. Miles only raises his chin, blue eyes flicking from Sonic up to the assortment of festive plants decorating his headpiece. The older man follows his gaze, rising till it catches on the newest addition there, a bundle of green and white. Grins almost shyly when realization hits him, Sonic stepping forward to fill the space between Miles' knees as his hands rise to cup fluffy white cheeks, pulling the fox into a deep kiss.

The last shot the video catches, before it finally shuts off.

Introduction.

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog released on April Fool's Day, and with it came new lore.

… What?

Oh, right, the game was released as an April Fool’s gag. So you’re probably saying it’s non-canon, right?

The game’s Steam page… doesn’t explicitly confirm that it’s canon, but it does support us thinking of it as canon despite not being made by Sonic Team (and before you ask, no “Everything Is Canon” is a gag created by SEGA themselves, it is not meant to be a literal statement).

Thus we’re choosing to treat it as canon, though on a lower tier than Sonic Team products. We’re clear now? Good.

While there’s a good amount of lore to talk about, most of it is ultimately minor in scope (hearing a bit about Blaze’s standards in regards to political marriage, while hilarious, does not have major impacts about the franchise lore, outside of specifically her empire).

By far the most interesting part of the game, lore wise, is the train itself. The Mirage Express.

The Conductor (no other name given), has been riding on this train for a majority of his career (of 32 years), where during an early period he had promised to never part with the train.

At first, it’s a regular - albeit technologically advanced - train, used exclusively for special events (such as a birthday murder mystery - sorry, Sonic isn’t actually dead!). But over the course of the game’s story (more accurately the third act), it’s revealed that this train is actually a sapient badnik train made by Dr. Eggman, who captured Sonic and friends and is delivering them to his base.

Now what’s so special about that? Eggman grabbed a train specifically to capture Sonic, right?

Well, no. Eggman only finds out about the train’s near success near the end of the story, he actually built it for an entirely different purpose. See, when he wanted to invade the islands that the anthros live in to take over, he found their public transport lacking, and so decided to convert some cargo trains into passenger trains for the sake of his own future takeover.

Yes, that’s right, this game confirms that Eggman has been replacing the infrastructure of these towns behind the scenes. Anything could potentially be an Eggman creation in these towns, especially with his grip in the casino business. The power, the communications network, the cars. It was only thanks to this incident that the public even learnt Eggman was converting the trains.

But then why did the train attempt to capture Sonic the Hedgehog, if Eggman didn’t design it with that purpose in mind?

Well, because Eggman wanted to motivate robots to catch Sonic beyond their simple programming via a bounty. While most robots have too simple programming to provide any meaningful requests (with Eggman saying that the majority of his robots would simply ask for an autograph), Eggman openly speculates what the train would ask for as its bounty, citing its intelligence as something that could only come from him.

The Mirage Express’s bounty, which it desired so much as to call it a wish, was to force the conductor to keep his promise he made a long time ago, so that they’d be together their whole lives.

That was approximately 30 years ago.

Eggman’s been working on public transport (and presumably various other systems), creating advanced AI that can run things in his absence, for at least 32 years. Machines that can keep the little critters like flickies trapped and powering them so that they can run for decades.

Eggman’s plans on world domination aren’t fresh. They aren’t something he came up with just because he’s getting old. These are plans he’s held, desires he’s had, for half his life.

In a way, I guess its fortunate that the islands had that bad of a public transport system before he took over, or else he might have taken over the world before Sonic was even born.

… And that Eggman wouldn’t be satisfied with a quiet victory of taking over behind the scenes, because he could certainly do that if he really wanted to. He could quietly replace all sorts of machines with his own, and make them serve him at the literal flick of a switch if he wanted to.

But no. If- WHEN Eggman wins, he wants the whole world to know about it. Anything else would not be enough for the ultimate genius that is Dr. Eggman.

And all of this came from an April Fool’s murder mystery game.

Sonic: Yeah, Umm-- So, have you ever got the Master Emerald back from "Baldy McNosehair" somehow? Knuckles: *Scoffs* Yeah! Of course, I got it back! Uh-- Very quickly, Very easily. Same old duties, Same ol' schedule. And get this, they're also giving away free Chili Dogs too, Just like these. Who would've guessed, huh? Sonic: ...You never got it back, didn't you? Knuckles:[In low spirits] No. Nope. Not even close. I hope the thing's still in tact. I think about the emerald quite a lot, actually. But, uh-- How about you? What've you been up to lately? Been a while. I think everyone agrees that it's been, like-- A ridiculous how long it's been :) Sonic: Hey, I've been busy. Knuckles: Doing what? Sonic: Well, I've been busy; - Writing - Designing - Penciling - Inking - Coloring - Uploading --and all that for, y'know-- several weeks without end, so... It's kind of a lot :/ Knuckles: ...Sure, yeah. Although like 50% of that, if I'm being honest, sound completely made up. BUT. The REAL question is... When are we getting back out there? The world need more Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic: *sighs* It's coming, alright? [snatches phone from Sonic] Hey! Knuckles: Yeah, I know. But like, a specific year would be nice. Sonic: Oh-- Ok, fine. The world will get more Sonic the Hedgehog in, uhh-- "Late 2024", like, next season. How's that sound? Knuckles:[Ecstatically] Alright! OK, I'll take it! Late 2024! Perfect, sure! *Slurping*

DAY 3: MUZZLED

I thought I was never writing any else involving the Bad Ending Future.

Could be read alone but if you read the Bad Ending Future Au Details then you’ll understand much better.

Nine was in his cell lying on his bed. The Chaos Council had captured him a few months ago and he had been forced to work for them. The fox had built all sorts of machinery to help conquer other dimensions and had to collaborate with the scientists.

Today, he said something about the terrible design they made for a new idea of a robot and instead of getting his usual electric shock, they put a muzzle on him. Clearly, the council had begun think in the long term and chose a much less life threatening way of controlling him. 

They sent him back to his room or rather his nice cell, after work hours, still wearing the muzzle. From his cell door, Nine heard strange noises. The fox got up to look through the bars.

“Nine, I’m here to break you out bro!”, The blue hedgehog yelled as he blocked the door with nearby items and debris from the previous fights that had occurred in the area that the Chaos Council hadn’t bother to clean up yet. 

“I’m sorry I didn’t get here sooner. Been a bit busy in the other dimensions.“, Sonic said as he typed out every possible combination he knew. “And I managed to get the Rebellion to help me get you out.” Finally, the keypad gave the green light and the cell doors unlocked.

Nine walked out. “Alright so here’s the— What are you wearing on your face?”, Sonic asked as he finally took a good look at his brother’s doppelgänger. Nine stared at him because that was a very dumb question and he obviously couldn’t speak. He hoped that the look he gave him was enough to convey his feelings on the subjects.

“Can’t talk huh?”, Sonic said as he got the message from the look. “Here, let me get this off you.” Sonic went behind Nine and messed with the adjustments of the muzzle. “Should have figured that you couldn’t talk. You didn’t give me any audio responses so…”, the blue hedgehog trailed off.

He then managed to get of the muzzle and threw it across the room. It landed with a thud. ”I can’t believe that they muzzled you.”, Sonic said incredulously.

“Well the Council didn’t like how I criticized their plans and robot designs. And they thought it’d be better for my health than electrocution every time I ran my mouth.”, Nine stated neatly as he looked down to mess with his gloves.

When he looked back up, Sonic looked angry. The blue hedgehog grabbed the fox’s shoulder and said, ”I’m not going to let this happen again, Nine. I swear it.”

Nine slowly pushed the hands aside. “Sure, because you’ve been so good at keeping your promises as of late.”, Nine sarcastically replied. “You’ll only abandon me when it’s convenient.”

“No, Nine, I would never do that willingly.”, Sonic tried to tell Nine. “I’m always here for you and what’s best.” 

“Then why couldn’t we have stayed at The Grim when we could have then?”, Nine cut off whatever Sonic could say next. “Hmm? That’s what was best for us. Why deal with all this bullshit that doesn’t even matter?”

“Nine, it does matter. These people, our friends, they do matter.”, the blue hedgehog tried to explain in a gentle voice and tone. It just made Nine feel more pissed of then he was. 

“Matter? Don’t talk to me about what matters because clearly I don’t!”, Nine yelled at the blue hedgehog. The fox pushed him back. “You left me behind after what happened in New Yoke City.”

Sonic’s ears drooped. He could hear the anger and frustration coming from the young fox.

“And you can try and justify that I do matter because this “rescue mission”, but don’t forget that I would have never been in this situation had you stayed with me instead of insisting on trying so hard to fix what’s already too broken.”, then Nine crossed his arms and turned away from the blue hedgehog.

“Nine I—“, Sonic got interrupted by sirens going off. The security alarms rang and the robots began to bang on the outside doors. The barricade would not hold out for much longer.

“Dang it.”, Sonic cursed. “We need to go,” A robot arm punch through the walls. “Now!”

“Come on, Nine! We’ll continue this later.”, the blue hedgehog said as he extended his hand towards the fox. 

Nine reluctantly took Sonic’s hand. He was going to make that later happen much sooner if the gun concealed under his shirt had anything to do about it. And Sonic was going to say yes to staying with him this time.

I'm away from my computer and can't do good art right now, but I finished watching Mark do the latest FNAF DLC and several analysis of it, and it's giving me a ton of ideas for stuff I was stuck on with my own FNAF story. Maybe I can finally bring Lia back, if I can work through the writer's block from an exhausting year. But, for now, I have several ideas for redoing my designs again, a couple concepts of which I sketched here and posted for you to see my progress!

1. I hate how I gave Puppet hair in the last redesign. I was trying to make her face more feminine but she doesn't need hair for that and it looked bad. Here she's bald like she should be, and I'm working on a more feminine hood that leads into her security cap instead, with a cute scarf and corset under a baggier top.

2. I did Baby so dirty the last two times. Last time was better but still way overly skimpy and... Well, slutty. Baby doesn't need to be slutty to mean business and I should have known better. Here her top still shows some stomach without being a bikini, more of a biker jacket. And her shorts aren't booty shorts and still have the tutu frill. Instead of a tattoo she has a funky suspender buckle thingy. I need to make her a little wider, though, I like the idea of her being plus size without being overly sexy.

3. A little sketch of Michael. He still needs better proportions and I've made him look like a poorly done Sonic the Hedgehog human the last two times. I don't know why making him the right size is so hard for me. Here I did a little practice making his chest broader so his head wouldn't look too big, and in that case his legs would be longer. I also tried to make his head more ghoul and less Grimace Shake Silly Putty. I'm sorry Mike.

002 Sonelise

When I started shipping them: a couple of years ago after seeing cute fanart. But coming across @solarhood 's blog really increased my liking for the pair.

My thoughts: Gets way too much hate, i see it has lots of potential in fanfics, it is not and never was bestiality, and it can be a good romance or a good friendship. Plus Amy isn't unfairly demonized.

What makes me happy about them: their interactions were so sweet, especially the scene in the meadows.

What makes me sad about them: that they had to give up their memories :(

Things done in fanfic that annoy me: when people try to improve Elise by making her a Blaze Clone. Or turning her into a hedgehog just to make her ship with sonic more "palatable" listen Elise can still be badass without being turned into another Blaze/Sally copy

Things I look for in fanfic: again better characterizing that isn't turning Elise into Xena, also amy not being demonized for melodrama. Sonic & Elise more time together (with in character Sonic)

My Wishlist: that elise comes back with a new design that (let 👏 her 👏 wear 👏 different clothes!!) & reuniting with Sonic

Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with if not each other: with Sonic I don't mind him with Amy or a new character. With Elise, Surprisingly KNUCKLES. Both were isolated and had to spend their childhood into roles they didn't ask for so the parallels are already there. Difference is Elise can help Knuckles be comfortable around girls without overstepping his boundaries, and he can help her learn to master her power and be more open with her emotions even especially the negative ones.

My happily ever after: Sonic and Elise somehow recovering their full memories and becoming friends again. Elise decides to travel the world with him not just for personal pleasure but to instill alliances and gain more life experience

How I feel about this character: TERRIBLE he's the reason why I made Noelani in the first place!! Unnecessary audience surrogate who didn't even do a good job in the role he was that hateable!

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Okay maybe his relationship with his servants were a little sweet then again not surprised if they forced to act like that because he signs their paychecks

My unpopular opinion about this character: he isn't the worse creator's pet I know he wasn't as awful as Kicker from Energon or Light Yagami

One thing I wished. Would happen/had happened with this character in canon: That he faced some actual damn consequences especially in the last episode of s2! Ground that boy! Don't just let him get away with dooming two planets!

Favorite friendship for this character: Surprisingly him and Tails, too bad it wasn't enough to salvage him

Dear Diary,

I am at my wit's end. That pink hedgehog, Amy, is driving me absolutely batty. I mean, seriously, how can one person be so annoying?

Every time I turn around, she's there, twirling her hammer around and yelling about friendship and sunshine. It's enough to make me want to scream.

And don't even get me started on her crush on Sonic. It's like she thinks she has some kind of special connection with him, just because they're both hedgehogs. As if Sonic would ever choose dating her over fighting with me, his nemesis and the greatest scientific mind of our time.

But despite my utter disdain for her, I have to admit that Amy is quite skilled with that hammer of hers. I've seen her take down badniks twice her size with just one swing. It's impressive, I'll give her that.

And that's what makes her so infuriating. She should be nothing more than a minor inconvenience, an easily defeatable enemy. But instead, she's constantly foiling my plans and making my life more difficult.

But no matter. I will not let a pink hedgehog and her hammer get the best of me. I'll just have to up my game and come up with some new tricks to outsmart her. Who knows, maybe I'll even design a robot that can withstand her hammer blows.

One thing's for sure, though. I can't wait until the day I finally defeat Sonic for good. Then maybe she'll be too busy crying to be a thorn in my side! Mwa ha ha!
