my most genuine divergence on this blog i will say with my whole chest is that alana dresses masculinely in a way that is both adjacent to lecter and also not. i genuinely truly madly deeply lean into the idea of genderfluid alana and as a result it isn’t simply with fancy fancy suits. it’s also with plaid shirts and vests and waistcoats of a more casual nature. it’s with standard suits that aren’t just femininely cut. it’s with jeans and tshirts that fit in a way more comfortably baggy. it isn’t just the awful awful fuller ‘she dresses like that because lecter imprint’. like. how one-note can you be even as a queer man, broski.

EHEHEHE personally i think she’s genderfluid and uses he/she/they pronouns…….I think he was kind of an uncracked egg up until the trials though. like, he’s been in survival mode for so long that he’s never had the time or luxury to really think about himself or his identity….i think he’s had a lot of different disguises over his career though, and those personas are either male or female depending on what the situation calls for so he’s not a stranger to dressing femininely either.

but yeah…i think for a long time hugo just identified as male by default cuz like…what else would he be LOL. if he had any doubts at all they weren’t significantly hindering him or anything so he just buried them with all the other of the emotions he doesn’t want to feel. but like the closet is made of GLASS and this becomes especially obvious when she teams up with 3 other teenagers who are also transgender so sometimes she’ll just Say Shit and they all turn around and look at her like “…….🤨”

i have this very vivid scene in my head where varian comes out to the gang as trans and hes clearly really uneasy abt it. and hugo doesn’t know what to say so he just tries to relate by saying the first thing that comes to mind and goes “oh yeah i get it i mean. sometimes i wish i was a girl but like not all the time yk” and nuru and varian both just stop and stare at him

anyways yeah….other than her traveling party giving her some weird looks nothing actually really came of these conversations bc hugo would refuse to think about herself even if you put a gun to her head

fast forward to post-trials though, and hugo’s been living in the castle with varian for about six months…it was REALLY messy for both of them while she was adjusting, but at this point shes finally started to let her guard down a little, and all of a sudden she has SO much free time and she has no idea what to do with any of it. she’s stealing collecting things, tinkering with all kinds of useless little gadgets, rapunzel is teaching her tons of little arts and crafts projects. overall shes pretty content despite everything. So anyways then the gender crisis hits them like a fucking freight train

honestly i’m like half joking when i say i think it started bc they just kept forgetting to cut their hair. like one day they looked in the mirror and they’re like “wow my hairs getting so long i kinda look like a girl lol. Wait”

AND AS FUNNY AS IT IS ITS SO. WILDLY UNFAMILIAR TO THEM. like all of a sudden theyre SO insecure for as far as they can tell, NO reason and it drives them CRAZY. i dont even think that hugo dislikes their masculine features after coming out, i think they embrace them if anything but its just like…going from 0 to 100 so fast and suddenly being so hyper aware of themselves in a way that they NEVER were before…having to realize that they’re definitely Not cis. it’s fucking TERRIFYING!!!

not to mention it hits him all at once during a time when he’s still frankly really paranoid about him and varian’s relationship, and he’s kinda walking on eggshells bc deep down he’s convinced that var’s just gonna get tired of him eventually and kick him out. its like he’s just waiting for the final nail in the coffin despite the fact that there is literally no coffin.

All that being said i think it takes him a while to work up the courage to talk to varian about it. and he knows he won’t like. hate him for being trans or anything (I sure hope he wouldn’t, at least, seeing as he is literally also trans) but varian’s already done SO much for him and helped him through literally everything already….he doesn’t want to burden him any more than he already has. he also cant comprehend that someone can just Like him, like, as a person, so he’s convinced himself that varian must see something specific in him right now and he’s afraid that if he changes himself drastically in any way then whatever varian saw in him just. won’t be there anymore. If that makes sense

as for who he actually goes to first- honestly i think it’d have to be lance. at least in my head lance was the first person hugo really started to bond with aside from varian….he didn’t start letting his guard down with rapunzel until quite a while after that. also i think he’s worried that if he tells rapunzel she’d end up accidentally spilling something to varian (which is like. Valid bc she’s a horrible liar) he’d definitely write a letter to nuru, too, but nuru is also in another kingdom, and that message takes a while to get to her, so it’s more something they talk about after the fact

when he finally does get a letter back after dumping this revelation on her it’s just like

“dearest hugo. upon reading your letter i desperately wanted to tell you that i told you so, but i realize that would be in poor taste, seeing as you are clearly struggling right now. Moreover,-“ /j

regardless of who she tells first, they obviously all support her and encourage her to talk to varian as well…And ofc varian hypes her up to no end when she finally does. i wanna say it’s a sweet emotional scene but i feel like varian was also under the assumption that she figured out the gender thing like a year ago /j

How does being genderfluid work exactly? Is it like a switch?

I believe it's different for everybody

Maybe for some people is like a switch? For me it isn't, personally

I work more on a spectrum. Most of the times I'm in the middle (non-binary) slightly inclined to masc but it varies from time to time. Some days I'm more masc and dress more masc and even walk more masc. Other days I'm more fem and dress fem and put makeup on and my voice goes slightlier higher pitch without me noticing and I move my hips more while I walk etcetc.

Most of the times tho, I don't really pay attention to it. I just go with whatever I am feeling and roll with it. I just truly feel some type of "switch" when, for example, I'm wearing feminine clothes and suddenly it's like a train hits me and I start feeling extremely uncomfortable and want to hide. But that's quite rare to happen

I do suffer a lot from dysmorphia. Mainly regarding my chest.

When I'm fem I don't really mind it, but when I'm neutral or masc it really makes me hate myself. If it wasn't for my chest, I would be able to pass as a completely angrodynous individual and...and knowing that that little incovenience is stopping me from feeling comfortable in my skin it's very annoying

Alas, about pronouns. I know some other genderfluid people care a lot about pronouns and even use pins or bracelets with their pronouns of the day to help other people not missgender them, but I personally don't give a fuck. Regardless of how I'm feeling genderwise, I don't care if people refer to me as female or male or whatever.

My family refers to me as female all the time. My straight friends refer to me as female and my queer friends mostly refer to me as male. On the internet people mostly refer to me as gender neutral. Truthfully? I don't really care.

Sometimes it does happen that I'm feeling extremely masc and someone calls me "miss" or uses "she" and I feel a little sting in my brain (same happens when I'm fem and somebody calls me "dude" or "buddy") but eh. I don't pay much attention to it

Again, my experience isn't universal. You might ask this exact same question to another genderfluid person and they might give you a completely different answer. Hope I helped anyway tho

so, ive actually never been to pride :( im going to one this year though, and im so excited!! its in july for some reason, but ive got time booked off work, a hotel booked in the city its in (because its like 2 ½ hours away from me) and a couple of outfit choices in the mail waiting to arrive!! so, to answer the q: ill be 19 (my current age anyway aha) and im actually going alone, because i dont have queer friends atm and my cishet friend probably wouldnt be seen dead at pride. my brothers mightve come if they could, but theyre travelling to america a few days before and wont be back for over a week :(

21. What message would you give to your younger self?

to me personally? keep your mouth shut. bide your time, wait until you have better circumstances. keep. your mouth. shut.

to anyone else? dont do that ^ be confident!! as long as its safe to do so, express yourself!! the truth about life is that people will always find faults with you. they will always nitpick, they will always judge. even if you hide yourself to blend in, there will always be something that someone will scour to find. as shitty as that sounds. so be yourself! if people stare, let them! being like everyone else is boring anyway, and although at first it might be lonely or scary, youll find your people <3

22. How do you usually celebrate Pride month?

i like to do it in "subtle" ways. i say subtle because theyre not super obvious, but theyre easy to spot too. i like to paint my nails rainbow and wear rainbow earrings (i recently got rainbow star earrings and theyre so cool!!), and ill usually do more extravagent makeup on fem days, like using coloured eyeliner or putting little stars on my cheeks. and, of course, this year ill be at a pride parade too!

im gonna answer these two together :) so, i like partner a lot. its simple, but it gets the job done just the same as bf/gf etc. i personally like to switch/mix and match boyfriend and girlfriend as and when it feels right to me. i especially love when someone says "shes my boyfriend/hes my girlfriend" and if i ever come out as genderfluid to my brothers, id want them to introduce me like "shes my brother/hes my sister". of the two mismatched pairings, i prefer the female pronouns and male honorifics, but that might turn out to be a day-dependant thing

under the cut so as not to utterly flood people's dashes with my ramblings but! click if you'd like some unnecessarily in-depth discussion of 1) how the different realms in obey me deal with gender/gender identity and 2) my personal gender headcanons for the obey me characters. this is mostly pieced together from one night when i went all pepe silvia in discord but hopefully its now somewhat digestible. thanks for your patience! 

ok so first of all: all three realms interpret and approach gender differently. i don’t think any of them are inherently wrong or bad, it’s just unique ways of viewing the same concept. i prefer the devildom way of looking at it but to each their own :] it maybe goes w/o saying but trans people are supported in every realm, no matter how they view gender !

GENDER IN: THE HUMAN REALM

obviously, the human realm in the om! universe views gender pretty similarly to how our world does. this is sort of like our baseline, where humans generally view gender on a male/female binary. (tho i do like to think that this version of earth is more welcoming to nonbinary and trans people, just cuz i do like a bit of escapism <3)

ultimately gender in the human realm is the most simplified version we will see. i actually have a small headcanon that MC, regardless of gender, is referred to with they/them because this simple gender structure doesn’t translate over well to the other realms

GENDER IN: THE CELESTIAL REALM

with that in mind, we can talk about how the celestial realm views gender. this gets into the whole ‘what is the gender of angels/god’ which is probably outside my expertise to talk about, but i will anyway! 

the celestial realm views gender as, ultimately, unimportant. what matters about a person is who they are, like one’s willingness to help others. most of the angels present masculine and use he/him, as in the image of their Father. there are some who choose to use she or they or present feminine (or any combo of pronouns/presentation), but they arent necessarily ‘boy’ angels and ‘girl’ angels. 

it’s basically like this:

i’m an angel!

no, i mean, what’s your gender?

i’m a messenger of our Father

ugh, that’s not what i meant. what’s in your pants?

oh, so that’s where my halo went!

transitioning, for lack of a better term here, is pretty rare in the celestial realm, but it does happen occasionally. michael will update the records with their new name if they so choose, and celebrations are thrown heavenwide in honor of the angel!

GENDER IN: THE DEVILDOM

now, on the flip side, the devildom almost...reveres gender? since they’re the polar opposite of the celestial realm, demons tend to hold gender up into the spotlight instead of rejecting it. this is why we see so many demons presenting as men but having feminine aspects (like asmodeus wearing pink off the shoulder tops or the demons’ painted nails). 

for angels who Fall, this difference can be very jarring and hard to deal with when they become demons. expression is important in demon culture! while angels see all others as made in their Father’s image, demons emphasize the things that make them different from one another. fluidity of identity is particularly celebrated!

GENDER HEADCANONS: BROTHERS

now here’s the fun part, which is how i interpret these characters! feel free to let me know your own headcanons, i love seeing how others view the same characters :] 

LUCIFER: sure, he’s a demon now, but he still somewhat aligns with the celestial view of gender. to him, a person’s character is much more important than how they label themself. he’s just...lucifer. (agender man, he/him) 

MAMMON: has always considered himself a man! one of the rare instances of someone transitioning in the celestial realm. lucifer helped him pick his name :] (trans man, he/him)

LEVIATHAN: levi my beloved <3 ive shared some headcanons on levi’s gender in this post, as well as in the tags of this post. i think he really likes the freedom of demonic gender identity, and is very fluid (genderfluid, he/she/they/it)

SATAN: looooves fucking with gender, particularly if it irritates lucifer. he’s read a ton of gender theory and would love to have discussions about human gender with MC if they want. feels a connection to masculinity, but not to actually being a man (transmasculine, he/they)

ASMODEUS: loves fucking with gender even more than satan does. had gender with your mom last night ;) super gender non conforming, though most of the time you can’t even figure out what gender he is! basically the definition of ‘gender is a performance’ (nonbinary, he/she)

BEELZEBUB: probably doesn’t think too much about his gender. he was told he was a man so he just kind of goes with it. it’s really important to him to align with a healthy form of masculinity! doesn’t seek out pronouns beyond he/him, but wouldn’t mind she/her or they/them (nonbinary man, pronoun indifferent)

BELPHEGOR: similarly to beel, probably doesn’t think too much about his gender. he knows he enjoys being a brother and a twin, but doesn’t care much beyond that. he used to ascribe pretty heavily to celestial gender theory, but after Falling he’s shifted from gender apathy to like. seeing that feeling as his gender identity itself (agender man, he/him)

GENDER HEADCANONS: SIDE CHARACTERS

DIAVOLO: literally just a guy. like hes just a dude but in a slightly fucked up demon way (nonbinary man, he/him) 

BARBATOS: literally look me in the eyes and tell me this dude isn’t a he/they.  he’s not a man, he’s a butler (agender, he/they)

SIMEON: really subscribes to the celestial view of gender/believes that who you are in other people’s eyes is just as important as who you are in your own! doesn’t really identify w gender in any way since angels don’t technically have a binary to deviate from, but in human terms he is (nonbinary, mainly he/him but she/her ok too)

LUKE: also transitioned in the celestial realm! the brothers tease him, but if anybody misgenders the chihuahua, they should be prepared to eat shit (trans boy, he/him)

SOLOMON: started out as a sorcerer while trying to alchemize testosterone. he’s been living as a man so long that sometimes he forgets he’s trans in the first place (trans man, mainly he/him and occasionally they/them)

So yes! Ben and gender is a whole ass conversation!!

I have him as somewhat genderqueer in the first place but like.

The whole reason that some of the other forms are different genders is specifically because of the gender dysphoria/euphoria. The thing is fucking around with his DNA anyway so I can do what I want so like.

The gender of the other forms is defaulting to what makes Ben feel the least dysphoric. So like, if XLR8 had been male or Four Arms was female, then Ben would feel the dysphoria.

It's complicated because of the whole shapeshifiting and kind of translates into a genderfluidity where instead of 'today I am *this gender*' it's more 'when I am in this form I am *this gender*'.

(Logically this wouldn't make as much sense as the Omnitrix can't know beforehand how Ben would feel in certain forms but idc it's my rules fuck it.)

This gets more complicated with forms that have non-Human genders or things that don't have genders.

By 'non-Human' I mean 'they do not have a binary system based on reproduction'. Some species have 'gender' based on all sorts of things, and that can just be some cosmetic issues like 'oh we all have the same reproductive system, but some of us have two horns while others have three!'

And again some have no gender at all.

In the former case, Ben's form is still picked on which one makes him feel less dysphoric. It's not perfect but it helps. But he can still feel a little :/ so that's where the use of choosing pronouns comes in.

In the 'no gender' case, then usually the dysphoria is somewhat confused, though can settle on 'hey no gender means no gender!' but this is still where pronouns drop in.

As for when Ben is Human:

Though okay with he/him, also likes she/her and they/them. Dysphoria mostly happens when specifically put into the gender box of male.

Like. For example someone he knows doesn't respect the gender stuff specifically emphasizing male stuff for him.

On the flipside, the euphoria on the other pronouns is fun. This happens as a plot point in the Gwen 10 Timeline! Ben's version of 'Lucky Girl' is called Jinx, and is initially mistaken as a girl because. Ya know. He's 10 and gender is difficult to tell at that age. He is 100% okay with the media thinking that Jinx is a girl, and wouldn't bother to correct them(though it does involve later issues once he starts hitting puberty and becomes more visibly masculine and the media goes ????)

Speaking of the Gwen 10 Timeline:

Just to hammer the point here, when Gwen has the Omnitrix, it does the same thing. But as she is a cisgender girl, her forms are all female when applicable.

Non-Human gendered stuff also goes with what makes her feel more comfortable, even if it's not exactly 'female'. And again, things without gender are just no gender.

But no matter what, Gwen always uses she/her.

I love the idea of Sirius being genderfluid.

Sirius growing up in a household that was so fixated on gender roles. Being told constantly that men do this and men do that. Men don’t talk like that and act like that. Men wear this and behave like that. Act like a man, Sirius. Men hide their feelings. Men don’t cry. You’re the man of the house, Sirius.

Act like one.

And Sirius internalises this and pushes these roles onto his friends in first year. Girls don’t talk like that and act like that. Girls don’t fight like that or duel like that. Lily looks at him like he’s an idiot, and tells him not to be so sexist.

Boys don’t act like that and cry like that. Boys hide their emotions and don’t let anyone know what they’re feeling. Remus is hurt by what his friend is saying. He stops talking to him, stops opening up to him. He looks up to Sirius and Sirius is telling him how to act. Remus stops crying. Remus hides his emotions.

And Sirius is confused. Why is Lily angry at him? Why did Remus stop talking to him?

Sirius starts observing. Starts questioning.

He’s home for the holidays and Walburga says his hair is too long. He looks like a girl. But why can’t boys have long hair too? He likes his hair long. Orion tells him that cooking is for women, not men. But why? Men can cook can’t they? Or how are they supposed to eat?

Dorcas is fantastic at styling hair. She styles his for him. She plaits his hair, curls it, makes him look like a Greek goddess. And he likes it.

Marlene is good at makeup. She shows him how to wear eyeshadow and lipstick and eyeliner. The makeup goes with his outfit, and his hair. And he likes it.

Lily has a lot of Muggle clothes, skirts and stuff. She lets him try some on. He twirls, and the skirts twirl with him. With his hair and his makeup and his skirt, he looks like a girl. And he likes it.

Gender means nothing to him, but it also means a lot.

He rejects gender roles, but embraces the gender euphoria he gets from being called a girl, or being mistaken for a girl when he wears typically feminine clothes, or wears his makeup and has his hair long.

He knows boys can wear skirts and makeup, and he knows girls don’t have to. But that’s not all it is. He doesn’t feel like a boy in a skirt. He feels like a girl. And his female identity is important to him.

But sometimes he likes feeling like a boy in a skirt. He likes being a feminine boy. Because his male identity is also important to him.

And I also love the idea of Sirius pissing off his parents.

Luther doesn’t totally understand his trans siblings’ gender identities at times but he will destroy absolutely anybody that misgenders them

When Diego came out as trans, he switched to the correct pronouns immediately with absolutely no hesitation

He has never slipped up with Diego’s pronouns

It was another guy in Klaus’s rehab and Ben suddenly found himself enamored with the guy

LGBTQ Headcanons

Hi, I’m jumping on the bandwagon, I have solid headcanons for a few of the group, but finally mapping them all out will be great.

Sky: Cassgender, Demiromantic/Gynesexual, He/Him This is mostly because I don’t see him putting much thought into gender, and he just goes with the flow, he’s used to He/Him, but won’t complain if other pronouns are used. He’s only attracted to women, but it does take him a long time to actually fall in love, it’s why Sun is really the only one who’s ever captured his heart.

Four: Aro/Ace, They/Them Because Four is a literal mess of genders and romantic orientations they default to AroAce, because anything else is just weird when they’re all shoved into the same body and they’re all ace anyway. They/them pronouns mostly work for everyone, so they’re a somewhat stable person when fused. Here are the headcanons for each color:

Green: Male, Hetero/Apothi, He/Him Green is your standard straight cis male, but he’s also apothisexual, which is just an extreme version of asexuality that means he is actually repulsed by sex, not just lacking sexual attraction. He’s usually the white bread of my headcanons, but he’s got a crush on Dot so I usually run with that. He doesn’t like they/them pronouns, but he’s gotten used to them so he can make his siblings more comfortable when they’re stuck as Four.

Red: Demiboy, Bellus/Ace, He/Him, They/Them Red is, as usual, a cinnamon roll. He’s just standard asexual, feeling no sexual attraction, and he does enjoy traditionally romantic things like cuddling and kissing, but not in the context of a romantic relationship (hence Bellusromantic). He uses he/him and they/them, but some days he will have a preference and he won’t be shy about correcting you.

Blue: MtF, Aro/Ace, She/Her And you wonder why Blue is always angry. She can live with They/Them pronouns, but absolutely prefers she/her. I tend to flip flop between making her a demigirl or full on female in the context of my stories, but in headcanon form, she’s always a trans-woman. Poor Blue is always suffering since she can’t yell at people to use she/her when she’s stuck inside Four’s body.

Vio: Demigirl, Demi/Apothi, They/Them, She/Her Vio prefers they/them pronouns, but won’t object to she/her. They don’t necessarily take a long time to fall for someone, but you need to have a really deep friendship with them, no matter how long it takes. Unfortunately for Vio, they fell for Shadow and still haven’t really gotten over the heartbreak even though they knew it wouldn’t end well the moment they realized what was happening.

All in all, Four is just a mess. Especially Blue, because oops i made her suffer.

Time: Male, Demi, He/Him Hey, a cis guy. I make him full on Demi because why not, and also him and Malon don’t have children yet which could be considered odd depending on the time period. Normally you’re supposed to have kids like immediately, and both Time and Malon look to be in their mid twenties, which isn’t old by modern means, but definitely was in ye olden days.

Legend: Genderfluid, Bi, He/Him, She/Her, They/Them Pronouns change from moment to moment. They’re solidly bi, and despite leaning more towards women, Ravio managed to capture his heart and they have already gotten married-for tax purposes, of course ;)

Hyrule: Agender, Aro/Ace, He/Him Poor Hyrule didn’t even know what gender was until it was explained to him. He’s too used to He/Him pronouns for anything else to feel normal, so he just goes with it. He also didn’t understand the whole romance thing until he saw Time and Malon. To be honest, he still doesn’t understand the whole romance thing. The woes of being aroace.

Twilight: Male, Demi/Hetero, He/Him Look, another cis! He was good friends with Midna, and it wasn’t until near the end of the journey that he actually fell in love with her. He’s dealing with it rather well, but he’s still salty that his heart would betray him like that.

Wind: FtM, Pan/Ace, He/Him He hasn’t told any of the group that he’s trans, mostly because he doesn’t want them to think of him any differently, even if logically he knows Four is kind of going through the same thing. Tetra’s Crew all know and vehemently defend him when others try to misgender him. Aryll loves her big brother and will also jump to his defense, and Wind is just happy he has such a supportive grandmother, because puberty hit him like a truck and he hated it because it was all wrong. The moment he had a breakdown because of his period was the moment his grandmother knew that she needed to do something because she wasn’t going to allow her grandson to suffer because of her inaction.

Warriors: Male, Bi, He/Him He keeps it on the downlow, mostly because he has horrible taste in men: namely, they’re usually the bad guys, like Girahim, or super fucking weird, like Girahim. He was very conflicted over it and has never brought it up, even if he’s sure Fi has told Sky because it was Girahim. Not to mention he found Volga hot and he’s had a crisis to this day, because which villain will he fall for next, Zant!?

Wild: Bigender, Aro/Apothi, He/Him, She/Her Wild didn’t think anything of it when he actually enjoyed parading around Gerudo Town as a woman. He didn’t think anything of it when he felt only mild disgust when he was told that Mipha loved him. And he felt bad but also a little grossed out when he had to reject Zelda. He genuinely didn’t think anything of it until Teba explained that it wasn’t exactly normal to not ever want a mate. And he was a little embarrassed when Riju explained that no, men usually didn’t take active joy in parading around as a woman. Still, he has a free pass into Gerudo Town now, so he’s good!

And there we have it: Sky’s apathetic about gender and also really in love with Sun, Four’s a mess, Time loves Malon, Legend is pure bi energy, Hyrule is a confused bean, Twilight is salty, Wind is happy now, Warriors has terrible taste in men, and Wild is also another mildly confused bean. 

And yes, I shoved as much ace representation in there because Asexuals Need Good Representation and Asexuals Are Part Of The LGBTQ Community.

Linkle: MtF, Lesbian, She/Her We need a lesbian on the team, and trans representation while we’re at it? Awesome! And also, her grandmother telling her that she’s the legendary hero when all the heroes are known to be men makes a lot more sense if her grandmother mistook her for a boy when she was younger.

This is casually mentioned in AAO, but Line is technically genderfluid. Her pronouns are she/they. (Honestly, she doesn’t mind ‘she’, and mostly goes by that, since it’s just a word to her. But there are some days where she’s feeling ‘they’ more, so she goes by that.)

When she’s feeling ‘they’, they shift their form to the third one in this sketch, which has a blend of masculine and feminine features. This is the form they take when they’re nonbinary/androgyne/agender (it varies between those three). 

Line switches between female and androgyne, mostly, but it is not quick, and is a gradual shift. 

Line has taken a male form a few times, but mostly for disguise purposes, rather than wanting to be fully male, and she doesn’t like it much, only using that form when she has to. However, there are days, rarely, but they’re there, where she feels particularly masculine (but not butch, if that makes sense), so she shifts her facial features to reflect that. 

However, she’s not a fan of he/him pronouns. But she does like the male versions of titles/job names, like she prefers King over Queen, and even as a woman she calls herself the future king of Lunaria.

Line is like water; sometimes still, but shifting and creating new paths for herself.

Ongoing Story: After the dragon attack at Helgen, Min decides that as far as they are concerned, Horingr died at Helgen, and that was how it would be for the rest of the world. They needed to become someone the Imperials wouldn’t look too closely at, and shifted into a Breton female named Minerva. Minerva completely avoids going to Riverwood and instead decides that she needs to get as far away from all of this dragon bullshit as possible. Wearing Imperial armor that she picked up in Helgen, she heads east. Along the way, she skirts through different locations (basically adventuring as she goes), and eventually makes her way to Riften. By now, she’s gotten quite skilled at different thief-related skills and catches Brynjolf’s eye the moment she enters the city. After a brief “trial”, she joins the Thieves’ Guild.   While in Riften, she will end up doing the necessary things to buy the Honeyside (thus being Thane of Riften). After buying her home in Riften, she receives word of a friend of hers (as a previous persona) is dying in Dawnstar and leaving a son behind. She leaves on ‘personal business’ to adopt Alesan. While completing various jobs for the Guild, she will come across Sofie in Windhelm and adopt her as well. Over the course of the Thieves’ Guild quests, she begins having feelings for Brynjolf and have a fair share of teasing, flirting banter. Prior to going to the Snowveil Sanctum, Minerva will reveal her true nature to Bryn, as she feels like she owes him that before things get much more serious. He’s not entirely certain of where he stands/how he feels, so they leave off on a not great note when she goes and Mercer tries to kill her. They make up when she returns. When she’s forced to go to Whiterun to deal with the Honningbrew Meadery, she’ll have to deal with some dragon-related shit. So she’ll find out that she’s Dragonborn at some point through the course of things and also have to talk with Brynjolf about that. Funny enough, he probably handles that better than her being a Changeling.  Likes: Pretty gems, flowers, adventuring, but also the simple domestic life when she’s home. Dislikes: Draugr, fucking Frostbite spiders, Thalmor, the Civil War  Strengths:  Archery, Illusion Magic, Stealth Weakness: She struggles to truly connect with people.

Argit- 100% typical Erinaen “what is gender and why do I care?” and raised that way, leans ���masculine’ (only because he doesn’t like dresses and skirts, that’s it, but fucking humans-), will accept just about any pronoun in gendered languages he just rolls with it (typically ends up he/him because Kevin has gotten into a habit and is normally where people first hear them) (you can’t make me give his proper Erinaen pronouns, I’ll die first), will gladly tell you about how Earth genders are a social construct and meaningless to other species

Pierce- socializing was weird due to wildly differing cultural standards between his parents, was whatever around other aliens and male around humans, has settled on demi-male, he/him, presents masculine, gets really fucking annoyed when people assume he’s a cis male, has quilled a fucker before for doubting the existence of his gender (his dad was so proud you guys, so proud)

Osmosians

Kevin- socialized female (yet another ‘wrong’ mark on his mother’s transcripts), trans masculine, he/his, fuck gender conformity, within canon is still a juvenile, post-canon will mature into a dam due to population ratios and then spend his life switching between sexes as per the norm for Osmosians, primarily will be a support, will still be a dude if just out of spite, will learn to love building himself shapes with his (mutated) natural shapeshifting and use it to push himself towards young-tender at several points over the centuries

Alan- socialized male, cis- for an Ossy value of cis, he/his+whatever Ossy pronoun is appropriate, leans masculine, within canon is a juvenile, post-canon will mature into a dam due to population ratios then switch back and forth as per Ossy norms, primarily will be a support, confuses the fuck out of people when he lays his first clutch, has a gender reveal party every time he changes sex because the salt is real (this goes on past when gender reveal parties are in vogue, centuries from canon people only know of gender reveal parties because of him and only as something you do to celebrate changing your gender or sex)

Gwen- socialized female, semi-openly genderfluid (don’t tell her mother), she/her/he/him, leans towards femme, within canon started using magic to present as male or female as preferred during college, post-canon will eventually figure out how to make her own shapes and from that moment on will always have exactly the body and look she wants when she wants it (accept no substitutes, never settle)

Mike- socialized male, hasn’t considered the matter of gender within canon, once he runs out of other shit to work on post-canon will firstly settle on ‘cis, probably’ and over time move slowly to ‘meh’, he/him, tends to lean masculine, upon figuring out how to make his own shapes will try about 30 bajillion over the course of five days and then be constantly shifting forever (no the mouths and teeth never go away, it pisses him off)

I always love myself a genderfluid Korekiyo (even better when the incest is cut out of his canon, because fuck that shit) so of course my love ♥

While Kiyo is genderfluid, he usually goes by the he/him or she/her pronouns. He however doesn’t mind when people use they/them

(Little disclaimer: Since I personally am not genderfluid, I only read how gender fluid people often use their pronouns, thus by either sticking to one set or switching between them. So if I should have a false information, please forgive me and feel free to correct me)

No matter what he currently identifies with, he always wears makeup. How much he wears simply varies

He usually moves between male, female and androgynous

His identification usually moves over time. Like for a few months she identifies as a woman and then a few more months later as androgynous, before he then maybe identifies as male again

When Kiyo’s identification changes he doesn’t make a big thing out of it and simply corrects people politely. However it is often easy to tell when it changes by his way of dressing himself

When he feels masculine he wears stuff like from his canon sprite, when she feels more feminine she will go with dresses and skirts, and when he feels more androgynous he just mixes everything up
