How do you find pose references for all those gorgeous and cute and aaaaaaa drawings. H o w. Where. (<-from someone struggling to draw characters interacting)

(if you don't use references, take it as a compliment to your godly anatomy and posing skills)

I don't really use references for poses that much. I'm not sure how to explain this without sounding weird but when I'm about to draw something, I visualize it in my mind, and when it's character art I sort of see them as 3D models that can be posed and rotated. And I just sort of try to replicate that on paper, sometimes it's easy and sometimes it doesn't work out at all (a good reminder that when you browse someone's art, you usually only see the pieces that the artist is at least passably proud of, not the piles of failed projects that went nowhere).

Lrb dear god, this reminded me of that time when Alfred-chan got sooooo mad at my post explaining why fans should respect bisexual headcanons for Maria and Malenia instead of pretending like they're canonically lesbians and that they get oppressed and erased by mxf ships with them. They kept vagueing that post for like a MONTH in their blog including in tags under reblogs of Maria fanart, passively-aggressively changed their url to character+sexuality to "spite" me and then even made a sockpuppet account to start shit with me in the comments.

They deactivated when me and Val completely obliterated their "you cultivate lesbiphobic following by telling people why they should respect all sexuality headcanons instead of acting cultish or assuming their experiences and stereotypes equal canon confirmation" garbage with actual facts and logic tho but I screenshotted everything fjthfgfj (I learned to document everything the hard way after they've changed the she/they pronouns to they/they pronouns ONLY to accuse me of misgendering, so thank you for making me wiser I guess 😎). Even more vile, as they, a white person, larped as an Arab in that sockpuppet to hold even MORE "privilege" against me in discussion gjtjfh Because for them race, gender or sexuality are just badges of honor and dishonor, they don't see these as traits of actual human beings. And Dr Eugene X, who worked with them and weaponized her race to accuse everyone who disagreed with her of racism, didn't bat an eye at such a terrible act too?? As usual, rules are not for their friends, lol

It is not even the worst thing Alfred did, and yet all of this just, just, JUST because I wrote a point on why bisexual headcanon people did nothing wrong and there is no ground to claim something is canon when it isn't. 🤦‍♂️ Like, they were soooo convinced that I hated lesbian headcanons and that I'd feel angry if they called Lady Maria a lesbian, when what I was angry at is this exact toxic behavior in the fandom. No matter how much you like a headcanon, don't be a bitch about it. Maria doesn't """belong""" to any gender or sexuality, she belongs to anyone who likes her and is invested in her complexity as a character!!!

Yet, apparently, common Malenia simps / Finlay shippers are no better than common Maria simps / Mariadeline shippers. Just, wild how after shit like this, many people have the guts to claim that it is "sexist redditbros" who are the biggest problem of creators in the fandom. 🤦‍♂️ They'd actually blush if they encountered what such self-proclaimed "feminists" do to their own (!!!) over headcanons. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Sidestep has a nightmare but Rat King is there to save the day.

Nightmares is a occurring if tiresome experience for Anita. And they doubt it will ever goes away. It's why they often goes to Aoyun a few times. To avoid a nightmare is to ensure their own body is healthy and full of energy when they come back from as Aoyun.

But one night, they don't want to feel like being in a body that wasn't theirs or staying up late so. Sleep then.

But sleeping meant nightmares and here they are.

Falling into the abyss, falling into the dark, and no way to exit. Falling into the pieces of shards and broken mirrors. The screams that come out of their mouth are silence. Silence. Help. Help. HELP. HELP-

small hands. suddenly they're on the ground, on a bed, with five bright blue-ish hands- no paws crawl over their own body. It would've been weird if it wasn't for the warmth feeling that came from these tiny paws. And when they open their eyes- really open their eyes.

Five glowing rats hovers over them, and Anita sat up- they didn't realize they had once again fell off the bed and into the cold concrate floor with just a blanket and fallen pillow. Their telepathy felt exposed and wide but only for the five little rat daughters.

All of them land on some of their favourite position and Anita's hand is raised, letting one of them crawl onto the top of their fingers.

Anita mumbles, blinking their eyes that had long since they shred their tears in their sleep.

They sigh, let the rats coos and be closer to them. Safe.

The matter is that they're safe from a nightmare with the help of the Rat King.

Not perfect, but safe- always be.

One kind of hc that I really can't stand is "villain/antagonist actually lied about their abuse to make the hero empathetic", especially if the abuse in question is SA. Like, I understand wanting to push back against demonization of trauma survivors, I really do, but there's a point at which it really gives off a vibe of "feeling empathy for someone I dislike or condemn/ passing a judgement on someone I feel empathy for is uncomfortable to me so I'm going to invent a manipulative intention on their end that allows me to avoid feeling this discomfort" and it's a little too close to what victims of abuse face (especially those who don't fit the victim stere) for me.

A character could be called Liar Mc Judas Von Betrayal, if they said or yk, even hinted that they had been a victim of csa I would believe them, and if the story proved it was a lie I would get mad like how dare you make Liar Mc Judas into a liar! I don't care. I hate it.

doppelgilly seemed to be able to make his own decisions, since he willingly got into the portable hole after they asked him to- and he drew a card when gillion begged him to, for the sake of their friends.

if he can go against his programming like that, can the others? could he turn against the navy if he really wanted to, or would he still be forced and controlled into doing what they want?
