"South Park is a fatphobic and M&T are full of shit" isn't a really hot take i guess BUUT it's very bizzarre to me that Cartman's physical weakness is often linked to his fatness if not it being its cause because where i come from if you are slighty overweight boy not only you are considered a mini hercule you WILL be treated like a mule anytime "strong arms" are needed...
Honestly I think this is actually just a very very american kind of fatphobia, absolutely not a single media made outside USA, anime, books, TV series i ever touched implies that being fat makes you physically weak, it's the opposite most of the time, just look at Gian from Doraemon, he is the most iconic fat anime character of all times and he is a big, dumb, mean bully who tears apart everything in way with his sheer strenght, and he is big eater with big heart and big belly, idk man americans are so fucking weird
But also in TFBW he and Mysterion have very the high strenght while the rest of M5 have very low value regarding that, these jock/nerd dichotomies works in mysterious ways
#i once read the reason why cartman was able to beat kyle so easily in PC as adults#is because cartman was never weak to begin with#he just gives up so damn easily because he is just scared of facing people and the consequences of his own actions face to face#and i mean maybe it's not the intention but it checks out?#eric is a coward and hates confronting people without 4828592948 backup plans to save his ass if things go wrong#in PC he has a reason to fight kyle back because he had a real reason to fight beyond his selfish desires#my post#stuff for me

craig is so fucking emotionally repressed and afraid of being vulnerable and open about his feelings and bottles them up way too much until he cant handle it and it never gets resolved i love him
he thinks he "is in control of his emotions", but in reality it seems like he's moreso blocking them out or ignoring them, or trying to rationalize the situation. (at least that's what it seems to be the case judging by the fact that's how he tried to help tweek feel better in Put It Down.) But it's literally canon that his primary weakness is communication so its definitely moredifficult for him to express his emotions unless he burts them out (like in his argument with tweek in put it down.)
love his relationship with tweek, it really forces him to confront an important part of life he is shown avoiding - emotions. and by talos it is difficult for him but he's learning.
though at the same time he's overwhelmed and overburdened, since tweek is pretty emotional and sometimes potentially clingy (due to him being naturally insecure of himself and somewhat relying on craig for encouragement), this might be perceived as a threat for craig who's practically afraid of emotions or vulnerability, and probably doesnt know how to manage them the best.
this is best shown (but not resolved) in Buddha Box where Cartman says the buddha box can help him block out anxiety or other people that may overburden him. he begins to talkabout tweek and feeling like hes always asking for his attention. so he just tries blocking everything out instead of confronting this or communicating this to tweek. its pretty interesting how they practically made it canon that he actually struggles with anxiety, despite him being the monotone, deadpan and calm one, especially when compared to tweek. im pretty disappointed they didnt resolve this by the end, but boy am i glad they showed the part of him that struggles as much as others. from what we know, craig is really not that close to many people, or much things, besides stripe, his guinea pig... so given his difficulties with communicating and accepting his feelings accompanied by the fact that he isnt and never was close to that many people, i dont blame him for finding it difficult to exactly manage his relationshiip with tweek, especially as tweek is really emotional himself. and craig does care, a lot, and does want tweek to be happy, and he tries helping him by simply being logical and coming up with solutions, rather than thinking emotionally, but sometimes that's simply not enough. and he does learn that in put it down but sort of starts struggling again in buddha box, except this time instead of learning to be emotinally vulnerable for tweek, he shuts himself off from everyone. though hopefully one day he learns to be more open, because that's pretty important in general but especially in a relationship, i think.
eurghhhh they complete each other so well. they are so different which does prove itself to be an obstacle but also is important for both of them, because they learn soo much from each other. Tweek learned how to be more confident in himself 'in a way he never has before' thanks to craig. and tweek is helping craig learn how to manage emotional relationships and life better and understand emotions in general.
Im not sure where exactly his emotional suppression comes from. It could be due to his family being more closed off. it could be due to him possibly being autistic. it could be due to both. it could be due to neither. but i love him nonetheless.
anyway sorry for small rant. the post was initially just gonna be one sentence but i felt like elaborating on what i meant. i love craig tucker soooo much. he makes me soooo happy.

Little elemental bender AU I'm making for fun. The powers are similar to the ones in Avatar but it's emotion based like in the Frozen films. Elemental kids grow up with these abilities and there's a core emotion they have to understand in order for their magic to be stable.
Cartman is an Earth bender. Cartman's core emotion is confidence. At the beginning he could barely even move a stone because he couldn't believe he could move anything. He was a small little fat kid who was treated like he'd never be a powerful bender and for a long time he believed that he was weak and useless. But he eventually learned that he's not as helpless as he thinks and that he has the power to move mountains if he believes in himself. Wether he uses his magic for good or evil is unknown.
Kyle is a fire bender. His core emotion is peace. Wheh he started out he couldn't control where his fire would go and how much he could spread. He had problems of literally bursting into flames from anger or anxiety. The more distressed he is the less he control he has and his fire just grows and spreads. When he gained control over his anger and anxiety he was able to find his peace and know how to channel his emotions into magic. He has the ability to give warmth to the helpless and protect the people he cares about.
More about Kenny and Stan in case I never touch this AU again
Stan is a water bender. His core emotion is sadness. At an early age when he tried to bend he couldn't control the direction of the water and could barely make it move smoothly. Every attempt just resulted in him lashing out and spattering the water everywhere. He was disconnected from his emotions. He was only happy or angry and avoided being open and vulnerable. When he could fully accept his sadness let himself cry he was in tune with the flow of the water and could control his own rivers and create rain.
Kenny is an air bender, which in this universe means he's connected to the weather the same way Stan can produce rain within his radius. Kenny's core emotion is catharsis. Kenny used to be timid and couldn't produce anything stronger than a light breeze. Kenny, like Stan repressed his emotion and like Cartman he couldn't believe in himself. He kept his emotions to himself and contained them. When he stopped bottling up those emotions and let them out, he was able to create wind storms hurricanes and lighting. The first time he felt catharsis he screamed out in anger and pain into the wind and lightning flashed across the skies. His powers also can come from euphoric catharsis and create winds that feel like a soft cool hug pushing against you.

Hello, hoping you are well. When will you resume your fic? I miss your updates :(
Hey! thank you so much for the ask. I'm still alive I promise. I feel so bad for taking so long and I feel like I owe you this. Its the beginning of the next chapter. not sure if anyone else cares anymore, but I'll be updating soon. I'm so so close to finishing it!!
/
Anxiety.
When Cartman arrived home that day, he smashed up the mirror in his bedroom. Through the sheer adrenaline of desperation, denial and anger, he didn't feel the glass slice his finger open. The blood weeping down his hand was the distraction that prevented him from destroying the next thing in sight.
He couldn't stand the sight of himself anymore. He hated pretending to be a nice guy, because he knew he wasn't one. On the contrary, he wanted nothing more than to be that regular guy. His mind was lost and confused, feeling as though he was losing control and when he saw that hue of weakness staring back at him in his reflection, he lost sight of himself.
Just admit it.
An admission. "Okay, okay, okay." Words fell out of his mouth, giving himself some kind of pep talk. His weight shifted from one leg to the other, unable to keep still. His eyes remained fixed, like a cat on the hunt. "Obsession." Looking past himself, he tried to be honest. "It's not an obsession. It's not. No." The truth in his eyes told him otherwise and that was the moment he pulled the mirror off the hook and threw it to the floor.
His breathing was irregular and his fists were firm, tight and sweaty. He paced up and down for some time, rambling to himself and trying not to take his own advice. The feeling eventually passed and he was calm again. He fell to the edge of the bed, slid down to sit on the floor and then sulked with his head in his hands.
One... two... three... He counted, like he'd been told to do many times before. It was too late anyway, but it was better late than never. By the time he reached five, he stopped whispering along and became distracted by the pain in his hand.
"You fucking idiot." He said, wanting to hear it. He gathered many tissues from the box under his bed and wrapped it around his pinkie finger. He secured it all together by wrapping a rubber band around it.
As he was doing this, he saw his phone light up. With his eyes squinting slightly at the screen, he could just about managed to read who it was.
Kyle.
Kenny said you flipped out. Everything ok?
Cartman scrunched a face and typed a reply after he finished dressing the injury.
You.
kenny needs to mind his own fking business
Kyle.
Don't do anything stupid. K?
Cartman looked over to the mess on the floor and caught his reflection in one of the shattered pieces of glass. He touched his swollen eye carefully and then tested his pain threshold by pushing into it hard. The screen lit up again.
Kyle.
I hope it's not too late to say that. Lol
You.
too late I think
Kyle.
Idiot? Wtf did you do?
You.
nuthin. I did nuthin.
Kyle.
Tell me
Cartman didn't respond, which was rare. He didn't feel like it. After a few minutes of sitting there conversing with his own thoughts, the screen lit up again.
Kyle.
Where are you?
He grabbed the phone, immediately caving in and sent a reply.
You.
Home. y?
Kyle.
So you're on your own?
You.
Yep
Kyle.
You should come over then
You.
Bad mood. maybe later.
A few moments later, Kyle rang him. "Are you fucking depressed or something?"
"Um." Cartman said, questioning himself. "No, I'm not depressed?"
"Good." Kyle affirmed, happy with the answer. "What's gotten into you then?"
Cartman's head fell back and his neck rested on the bed. "That's nice." His gaze moved towards the ceiling. "Very nice of you to assume I'm always the problem."
"Because one hundred percent of the time, you are the problem."
Cartman knew he wasn't and now he didn't want to speak to him. "Goodbye Kyle."
"No, no wait-" Kyle said quickly and Cartman brought the phone back to his ear. "Don't go yet. I need to talk to you about something. Something totally irrelevant to this."
Great. What else did Kenny tell him? Cartman's fingers gripped the phone hard. "Okay." He gulped.

What's your opinion on this?

As somebody who has been watching south park since I was like 10 I think this is… pretty stupid. south park did not make kids/teens racist or antisemitic or homophobic — to say that south park itself made it funny to be hateful is giving south park way more power than it actually has.
south park does not, in any way, encourage any of those things. Cartman, who is basically responsible for most of the bigotry in the show, is never encouraged for these things. When he mocks Kyle for being Jewish, Kyle always defends himself or even kicks cartman’s ass for it. Cartman doesn’t get away with it. he’s never rewarded for it. Wendy even kicks his ass as well. Cartman isn’t powerful — he reels off bigoted things, but the moment he’s challenged, he usually ends up losing. He’s clearly not a role model. He’s weak and annoying and he’s funny for being so pathetic. anybody who idolizes cartman was probably already a bigot/asshole to begin with — it’s pretty ridiculous to say that cartman is responsible for all the bigoted kids these days, because anybody who can understand satire and adult media should understand that cartman is not to be idolized. Cartman didn’t teach kids/teens to be hateful. Here’s even a piece from an article talking about this:
Satire is your responsibility to understand. If you don’t understand it, you shouldn’t be watching it because you’ll take it the wrong way like the people in that post. South park is not written to brainlessly hateful. Yes, they pick on everyone, (and I mean everyone. White cishet men are constantly mocked), but a lot of it is just written to be funny. If groups I am a part of like gay people weren’t picked on I’d be more offended, because I realize it’s humor and not serious and I’m not that sensitive. Take tweek and craig — Matt and Trey (the writers) noticed how many fans shipped them and made the two into what is probably the healthiest relationship on the show in a frankly hilarious episode about yaoi. (Matt and Trey even have a fan art wall! They’re clearly fond of their fans and actually listen to them). Take jimmy, too. He’s honestly wonderful disability representation and isn’t treated any different from the other boys. So to say Matt and Trey are homophobic or antisemitic or racist or ableist or anything like that is ridiculous.
While a lot of south park’s humor is just silly and teasing, they do downright mock groups and people. But most of the things they genuinely paint in a bad light are actual bigots and harmful ideologies, like scientology, a lot of right-wing politicians, and racist rednecks. And Barbara Streisand. And many more. There’s an obvious difference in south park between goofy jokes meant to make you laugh and commentary on politics (hidden behind fart jokes). Matt and Trey are centrists, so they obviously aren’t biased. They just target things they think are idiotic — which they’re typically right about. They have made mistakes, though, which I won’t deny. But take manbearpig — it was a metaphor for global warming, and was initially just a creature south park version al gore made up. But Matt and Trey realized their mistake, and later made an episode where the manbearpig is in fact real and begins to kill people. That also should show you that south park doesn’t make people “lazy” or “uncaring” or however else those people in that post put it. The manbearpig (global warming) kills people. If that doesn’t make you want to prevent it then that is your fault. That goes for other issues south park has brought up, too. South park presents the issues of the world in a negative light — if you’re uncaring about them, that’s on you.
So, south park is a satire, and it’s your responsibility to understand it. If you think that the things cartman says or does is okay, or you think that the show is trying to make him correct, that’s a you thing.

EVERY. SINGLE. THING. Cartman does comes from his insecurities. Not just his hate for Kyle and minorities, but also the way he treats his friends, the way he deludes himself, the types of people he admires, Everything.
Not saying that the first few seasons are taken into account to his curent characterization BUT in the beginning he was just an annoying brat that everyone made fun of and was show to be pretty lonely too, but with time we see that HE became the one who starts the tormenting most of the time. Like if he was trying to punch first so he doesn't come of as weak.
But even then, most of the time it doesn't work but still he lies to himself. Everyone tell to his face they hate him and he just chooses to ignore it while also becoming the one that hates everyone else the most. He tries so hard to control his perception of the world because is the only thing he can control really.
Yeah he can do horrible things and a lot of people are even afraid of him but no matter what he do he never gets what he truly wants, and honestly he probably don't even knows what that is
God i could ramble about him for hour
people have been misreading cartman and kyle's relationship for years, but season 26 has given us clues as to why cartman antagonizes kyle in the way he has
cartman antagonizes kyle because for a very long time, kyle had (emphasis on had) the most normal and loving family out of the main cast. cartman's insecurities were always brought on by the fact that adults were saying terrible things about his family that got uncritically regurgitated by the kids, and he chose to unproductively antagonize kyle for that.
in japanese toilet, when randy brags to the entire town about being rich, cartman allies himself with two minor characters to parade around as his new friends in front of stan out of jealousy. his entire rivalry with kyle was just laid out in front of us.
#this probably come off as nonsense#i just typed whatever came to my head#im insane#south park#eric cartman#my ideas

thank you very much!! homeless cartman still hurts me but I love butters and kenny in both timelines 🥺
that’s hilarious to me ngl cuz that’s just getting cartman’s sloppy seconds again (paraphrased from basu) sddfsds
like how many times to you intend to steal cartman’s girl kyle
I LOVE con artist butters. SO MUCH. it took me a second upon seeing him because, i am not a big fan of facial hair in gen (also like why do they all have it please-) but the fact he wasn’t actual evil but like.. a future brand of evil was amazing to me. you see, one of the most important qualities in an in-character butters for me is him being an on-the-surface good guy but accidentally or not intentionally doing nasty things. he’s a weirdo and an airhead and before this I really preferred people making him sort of.. incoherent in his speech.
I really feared how they might age him up and I think they found a really good solution to it!! I’ve always thought butters’ self denial mechanism worked especially strong and its just another proof of that happening so now his “incoherence” is him insisting he doesn’t remember his past and his name is Vic.. whatever. he clearly does remember, at the very least, his dynamic with cartman which is all I needed hehe
and for the NFTs.... well i mean. he wouldn’t be butters if he didn’t make you want to strangle him just a little bit
sigh.. yeah...
to begin with the broship tore apart because stan and kyle weren’t getting along anymore and cartman saw he couldn’t bridge over it no matter how much he tried.
and I mean stan really did have a miserable life and kyle was a loser which is hilarious but i guess he also was lonely most of his. i can’t really blame them both because it was still kenny’s idea.. which implies kenny was deeply hurt that their friendship fell apart. like sure, eventually he had a great life but think about how he never showed interest in science yet became a renowned scientist - i figured it was out of necessity to create the option of time travel to begin with. like that’s how hurt he was by it. (and why i think him still being a scientist in the “good” ending is lazy writing cuz there’s no reason anymore-)
but stan, who’s always been kinda neutral with cartman, aside kyle have always had a weak spot for cartman in need... I do believe a part of his personality loves it because by helping cartman he feels like a better person. so that’s ooc. and kenny knows life in poverty up close.. like I wrote in a diff ask he’d have at least taken care of cartman. and it’s weird they just make him not care if even in the bad route timeline kenny and cartman kept in contact...

You Wear Their... Two!
South Park preference. Cartman, Kenny, Token, Jimmy, Heidi, and Red (feat. gender-neutral reader).
Honestly, they're all so happy, what can I say? Though, admittedly, Cartman continues being a smug little bug, like- see what I can get and what you singletons don't have, you know? It’s mostly because, somewhere deep down in the depths, small questions tend to pick at him a bit. Is he close to good enough? Do you deserve better and, mostly, does it mean he should let you go? He's naturally insecure on you (someone very great), but when he sees the slightly larger hat on your head, he almost offers you the matching gloves he wears in a heartbeat moment of weakness to your cuteness... Almost.
It’s Kenny’s parka, of course. I picture you in sweats or leggings, whichever is most your style, and he absolutely adores you in it (lightly a little more thirsty, too). In the beginning, he refrained from giving you the puffy orange jacket because, apparently, it’s cursed. As he sees you relaxing in your rooms however, wearing and enjoying because the clothing was his, he vowed to protect you against everything it’d bring (...please don’t leave the house, okay- if something happened because you were wearing the accursed thing, his heart couldn’t take it).
Token loves it, likely more than you both thought. The purple sweater with a buttoned shirt underneath is what I picture, existing so effortlessly fly; it takes his (and everyone else’s, really) breath away. He does a bunch at once, to be honest- hugging you because he can’t resist, assuring it’s yours whenever you want it, and even offering purchasing a match if it’s something you’re interested in. Adorable, both of you.
It isn’t you wearing Jimmy’s clothing necessarily, but one time he had to spend a night in the hospital and you were tasked with bringing his crutches. He needed something to make him smile, you’d think (in addition to you, of course, seeing you never failed to make him happy), so you initially walk into the room hanging onto them to cease any worrying. Then, you use them the rest of the way to the bedside and, without a single word, he’s smiling and laughing. Quite a superpower you’ve got there. “You’re so cu... cuuu- cuuu-... adorable.”
It’s comforting to Heidi. She lost the hat during the entire online fiasco, and it spanned into a few episodes without wearing one. It was after she gradually made some steady improvement she got it back- thanks to you, no less, having found and returned the floral accessory as a celebratory present. Another one to perhaps place it on your head spontaneously one day, she reminisces on what you meant to her during the time whenever she spots it on your head. It was ever easier to get better with you there- she wants to be with you, after all.
Red lends you her coat, like Bebe. It seems you’re one of those couples with the sweet moments without trying- she spots you headed out to the balcony and casually slips the coat from her shoulders. It’s placed on yours with a kiss to the cheek in one smooth move. “...and I- Oh! One sec, guys,” she’d politely interrupt herself, the coat dropping gently onto your shoulders, “Stay warm, babe.” And then casually turns to some smiling friends as you proceed giving her a hug from behind. It’s something else entirely when your relationship makes the people about you smile, too.

(same anon here who sent the last ask about yentl's comment on kyle and cartman) your response was really interesting! this aspect of their relationship is very fascinating to me too. though, I don't think it's really the whole group cartman would need to separate from in order to get better but rather just kyle, because when we have seen him alone with stan or kenny he's friendly and calms down a lot. even with butters he is often showing a softer side. but I agree with what you said -about kyle and cartmans obsession being mutual. I think for both of them they need to either separate or find a way to reconcile somehow to let go of their animosity towards each other, otherwise it will just continue that way forever
Hello! <3 (I hope you don't mind me rambling in this one, too, haha)
Cartman's relationship with anyone, really... is interesting because of his personality. He can't outright express his emotions or how he feels about people because he has a fear of vulnerability or appearing "weak". To him, weakness is admitting his faults, or being perceived as uncool - he's in denial of this as well. Early seasons Cartman is very different and much less off the rails than later seasons. Something I find really sweet is how in earlier seasons, he attempted to outwardly express his love for them at seemingly random moments. For example, at the end of "Conjoined Fetus Lady", unprovoked, Cartman says, "I love you guys", only for Stan and Kyle to look at him and say nothing. He then grew angry and likely embarrassed, switching his words to, "Ah, screw you guys". It's interesting to look at these (and other situations where he expressed his love for his friends) compared to later seasons where he rarely, if not never, expresses that love. Of course, he also joked about hating them through random dialogue or even songs, but, these carried a different tone than his expressions of love. With the latter, it was more genuine in his tone and I feel you could see his embarrassment or defensiveness when these words were not reciprocated. Cartman was... rude to his friends in early seasons, but not outright evil (like, he never gave anyone aids in season 2 or something). That didn't arise until later. I used the example of him expressing his love for his friends so I could use this example: In season 7, something I would not consider early seasons, we witness him saying "I love you guys" (in "Grey Dawn" - S07E10), but there's one additional factor not previously included. He adds on "Except for you, Kyle" afterwards. it's sort of like he's adjusting his behavior after all these seasons.
I actually have a little theory on this! As I was saying, in early seasons, he was much more outwardly expressive with his positive emotions than in later seasons, where he holds them in. I believe this to be an effect of his home environment. Liane is incredibly affectionate and isn't afraid to show her son physical affection, shower him in pet names, and more. I can only assume this would rub off on Cartman and he would begin exhibiting this behavior, only to realize... it's awkward. That's not really how young boys interact with each other - rather, they rip on each other quite a bit. That's just how it is; affection is simply a "feminine" thing in regards to gender roles. I think it would make sense for Cartman to slowly revert from this and become more shelled-in if this was the cause. He would close off affection fully and stick to picking on people as he was before, but now more frequently.
And yeah, I totally agree that at times Cartman had mellowed out and has shown his softer side to individuals. I think he's shown this side to everyone, including Kyle (I could see how people could argue differently, though). To me, he cares about all his friends, even if he doesn't... show this often. Don't get me wrong, he definitely needs to treat them with respect, otherwise, he'll never get that respect himself, but he just... doesn't. He's far too stubborn and his nature is too... cruel. It's rare when he does get along with them, but he certainly has. Actually, it's more individually than together. Like, in the group (all four of them), they often get into fights and cause trouble. They're less likely to do this when one or more of them are missing or if it's just two of them. I'm going to put this into sections between Cartman and Stan, Kenny, Kyle, and Butters to make it more organized.
CARTMAN AND STAN
There's far less content of these two alone than not, however, there is one specific episode that comes to mind with these two getting along: "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow". Cartman even states at the beginning of the episode, "Isn't this fun? Just you and me hangin' out, Stan. No stupid Kyle around". It seems he was able to get along with Stan when Kyle wasn't around, even mentioning it. Of course, this could also just tie into his obsession with Kyle, being unable to be somewhere without him without mentioning or referencing him in some form in order to put him down. Nevertheless, they were able to somewhat get along in this episode - because they were alone! They interacted differently with each other than they do in the group. Rather than Stan outwardly disagreeing with Cartman as he normally would, he went along with his lie and hid the fact that he and Cartman were the ones who broke the dam. It wasn't until Kyle was involved in the situation that this interaction ended. So... yeah! It didn't actually occur to me how differently Cartman behaved with them separately until you mentioned it... Neat!
CARTMAN AND KENNY
Cartman has the most positive opinion of Kenny over all of them, even if he picks on him from time to time - but, it's less than the others. I can only assume it's because Stan and Kyle are best friends, so Cartman naturally sought to make Kenny his best friend. It's mentioned multiple times throughout the series how he sees Kenny as his best friend, even if Kenny doesn't reciprocate the statement at every one of these times. There haven't been many moments where Cartman and Kenny are hanging out together alone, but the fault lies in Kenny's limited screentime - he's seldom seen with anyone alone as a plot point. Kenny seems to enjoy Cartman's company at times. There have been numerous instances where he's laughed at Cartman's jokes or joined him in his antics. For example, in "Whale Whores", Kenny and Cartman shared the same mentality and stuck together - getting on Stan's show in order to be on television. There was also the period of time where Kenny's mind/soul was stuck inside Cartman, so that's notable to mention. There have been fewer moments of them alone together, however, they seem to... get along well (sometimes, but more often than Cartman and Stan or Cartman and Kyle) in the group.
CARTMAN AND KYLE
It's very obvious these two are the ones who fight the most in the group. They have strikingly different personalities and due to this, often serve as foils in episodes. Cartman is often the antagonist to Kyle's protagonist. They serve very well for progressing the plot, so these two have the greatest amount of interactions and are more likely to be alone together. However, just as there are instances where they serve as foils for the plot, there are also instances where they are shown getting along. Cartman and Kyle are most likely to get along when Stan is away. I would say the same goes for Cartman and Stan, as I mentioned before. It seems Stan and Kyle balance each other out (due to their similarities), so when one of them is away, the other... gets along well with Cartman, strange enough. The episodes I'm going to use to back this up are "You're Getting Old" and "Ass Burgers". Kyle and Stan had a fight, so Kyle flocked to Cartman afterwards and let him take on that role of "best friend" in Stan's absence. I also find it interesting that in "Prehistoric Ice Man" when they fought, they each flocked to Cartman as a replacement best friend. I think that furthermore proves that... Cartman is valuable to them in some way; they like him enough to go to him when one of them is absent. Back to "You're Getting Old" and "Ass Burgers" - these episodes prove that Cartman and Kyle have the ability to get along. Kyle was nice to Cartman, Cartman was nice in return, and they started Cartman Burger together. Through all this, they were hanging out and having a good time together - arguments didn't really take place, even as they began spending more and more time together. Kyle didn't get angry at Cartman until he found out what he was doing with the hamburgers - coincidentally, only moments after Stan found out he was getting his old life back. It sort of put into perspective why everything is the way it is. I think the reason Cartman and Kyle don't get along as often as they could roots in Stan. He sort of brings Kyle back down to a rational level, but when Stan isn't there... he gets along well with Cartman. This is even more proven in "Crack Baby Athletic Association". Cartman and Kyle get along well in that, even working past their differences. They find a common goal and are able to accomplish things together. They get along! That episode is such a great example that they have the capability to be around each other without fighting if they both just... don't. They both have to make that conscious decision to not fight. In the episode itself, Stan plays a big part, even if he's not given a lot of dialogue or screen time. It's because of Kyle. Kyle was facing a moral dilemma and had a guilty conscience, so he went to Stan numerous times throughout the episode. He felt wrong about being a part of the business, but he wanted to, so he went to Stan in hopes of hearing him say "It's okay" because Stan and Kyle are supposed to balance each other out. Stan didn't, though, and instead, said he was just like Cartman. Kyle took this heavily, realizing, yes, he was acting like Cartman. He was picking up things he would say, his beliefs, and whatnot. So, Kyle sought to make things better, and that's when he went to Cartman with the idea of an orphanage. He didn't fight or argue or anything, he just set out his idea and you know what? Cartman didn't fight either - they had different motives for the orphanage, but it was a common goal. Kyle was okay with that, as long as it calmed down his doubts of good morality. It was such an unfamiliar interaction considering how often they fight, but I think... this proved that they could get along if they tried. In my opinion, they obviously care about each other in one way or another, but their personalities are far too different. I'm not going to attach any "right or wrong" labels to them, but neutrally speaking, they both need to put effort into their friendship if they want to get along. The only time they seem to get along is when Stan is away or they have a mutual goal.
CARTMAN AND BUTTERS
Butters' personality allows him to get along well with most people. He's very easily influenced and Cartman is able to influence people easily, so it's no wonder they get along so well most of the time. I'm going to shorten this down because there is too much that can be said about their relationship and it can get sort of complicated. This is specifically about them getting along together when it's just the two of them. I'm going to be using "Super Fun Time" as an example. There are multiple episodes where it has a focus on Cartman and Butters' shenanigans, but this one is where we see Butters putting his foot down with Cartman, as well as Cartman showing empathy for Butters. I think it really shows potential in their friendship and evidence that Cartman does care for Butters. Normally in their dynamic, especially at this point in the series, Butters is sort of a doormat around Cartman, but he is incredibly persistent this episode when it comes to keeping hold of Cartman's hand. He refuses to let go, even in the most dangerous of situations. It wasn't really even Cartman messing with him, but Butters was sticking to his principles and vowed he wouldn't let go of Cartman's hand until they got back on the bus. Cartman didn't fight too much on this - he figured Butters wasn't going to budge (which is interesting, considering how easily he's usually able to influence him) and agreed to go to Super Phun Thyme under Butters' conditions. Afterwards, Butters even insists they need to get back and Cartman gives in and admits he's right. Cartman does not like others telling him what to do, so the fact that he let Butters do this without even putting up a fight speaks volumes. Later in the episode, when they realize they can't get into Pioneer Village, Butters begins crying and weakly punches Cartman. You could tell in Cartman's features that he genuinely feels bad for Butters and tries to make him feel better by promising they can get inside without anyone knowing. It's a really sweet moment, in my opinion. It shows genuine human emotion in Cartman, which is something we don't get to see often. Butters is his friend, no doubt - he may pick on him a lot, but Butters is his friend and he sees him as such. I think this moment only proved that Cartman does have the capability to provide in friendships rather than just take.
I'm going to change my statement from the previous ask- I don't think Cartman has to separate himself from everyone, but rather, they need to learn to work better as a group. I'm talking about Cartman in particular, but honestly, all of them need to. They get into rumbles so often as a group, but when it's just two of them, they're more likely to get along. Cartman is a fantastic example of this given how different he is in the group than separately. He's proven to be capable of getting along with others or even providing in a friendship, but there's something internal holding him back from doing that in the group. I don't think it's a lost cause because they've been shown to get along when it's them against everyone else (thinking specifically of "Pandemic" when Craig says no one likes them, grouping them together and supplying that fueling between them). It makes them more prideful of their group when it's them against everyone else and I believe that strengthens their bond - sort of an "us against the world" type of thing. At the end of the Vaccination Special, their "broship" breaks apart and they don't attempt to resolve things when all they needed to do was work through their differences. They've been through so much together, it would be impossible to say they didn't have some sort of bond - and that would be a terrible thing to just give up like that. That being said, the ending of "Post Covid: The Return of Covid" gives hope that they'll be more apt to work through things to preserve their friendship. I certainly hope so!

If we're talking about who Heidi looks like, then I think she's a bit like Tootie from "Fairly odd parents". Well, first of all, both of these characters are very simple, there is nothing special about them, they are not brilliant, kind, sympathetic, generous, trusting, peacefuland sometimes very intrusive to those people who can not stand them.In the animated series, both were minor characters, did not have a big role and significance, were created by the creators purely for extras and for the sake of laughing. The trait that connects them is obsession. They were so obsessed with their love that they even harassed the boys (Timmy and Eric), did not allow them to live normally, and were so stupid that they did not even realize that Timmy and Eric despised them.I'm surprised at their stupidity, as any fool would guess that Eric and Timmy don't feel anything for them.I don't understand the people who ship Cartman and Heidi, Timmy and Tootie, as a couple, as for me it is very ridiculous and strange.I understand that in our time you can ship anything, even if it is very strange, impossible, or if it is an abuse,I am not trying to offend or hurt anyone.I'm just expressing my opinion. I see them as just friends and classmates. First of all, from the very beginning of the series, Timmy treated Tootie like shit,he ignored her,saw her only as an object of irritation, considered her abnormal and very rarely showed her signs of attention, the only thing he felt for her was pity, nothing more. Secondly,Cartman was forced to date Heidi because all his classmates began to clamor and call him gay because he still does not have a girlfriend.Heidi was the only one who showed him kindness and responsiveness, unlike the others. But that doesn't change the fact that Cartman was just using it for his own purposes. It has long been clear that Cartman does not love her, especially Cartman is smart,he knew before that Heidi is a weak and sensitive person,he used Heidi purely for pick, to prove to everyone that he is not gay, but not because of love. If we talk about a potential normal relationship, then Cartman's mind and intelligence have always been suitable only for Wendy, the other girls were very identical and similar, put any in the place of Heidi and the same situation would have happened to her. With Wendy, this would never have happened, she would have been able to put Cartman in his place and make him a normal person. Timmy would have been more suitable (Trixie Tang,Veronica, and even Vicki), any girl would have suited him,but not Tootie. I just don't understand people who want this to become canon, for me it is very strange and disturbing. Even if they were together, it would have ended badly. In real life, they would not even be able to get along with each other, they are too different to be together. It would have ended in a scandal or a beating. Cartman would have divorced Heidi sooner or later and found another girl. And Timmy wouldn't even start a relationship with Tootie, even as a teenager he would ignore her, they might even become friends, but not a couple. He would either marry Trixie Tang, or another girl, or go to another city altogether and find happiness with someone else.

Episode #159
WHAT THIS?
A Milhouse Divided Season 8 - Episode 6 | December 1, 1996
This is the one where Milhouse’s mom finally divorces future Milhouse and he fucking dies. The Simpsons have a fancy dress dinner party and the Van Houtens scream at each other there. Then Milhouse gets sent to hell. The end of the episode is about Homer remarrying Marge because their wedding wasn’t so hot. It includes a flashback to their wedding as seen in season 2, with an extra scene added, I think. I’ve always been curious to see something where people put the flashbacks of The Simpsons family in chronological order, but I would never wanna actually do it myself. It would be a mess when you factor in later-day flashbacks that take place in completely different decades.
I think people remember this episode fondly because relatively large events happen that impact the rest of the show. Milhouse’s parents stay divorced for a while, and they seem to get back together and break up fairly frequently these days. Homer and Marge’s recommitment ceremony is literally a second marriage because Homer decided to get an actual divorce beforehand. The validity of this marriage is a plot point in season 20′s “Wedding for Disaster“. This is EXACTLY what happened to the parents on Step By Step, but nobody wants to listen when I tell them this. People always just start hitting me.
THE B-SODE:
South Park: “Clubhouses” Season 2 - Episode 12 | September 23, 1998 Stan’s parents get a divorce, causing Sharon (Stan’s mom) to begin a relationship with a shitty dickhead who is constantly screaming at Stan to chop firewood. I’ve never had my parents divorce, for some reason, so I only have secondhand experience with this, but it’s fairly hilarious skewering of a certain type of liberal guy who is willing to date a woman with kids but then turns out to be an actual dickhead about it. Like, a dude that thinks it’s correct of him to be willing to date a woman with children but not actually being able to handle it. Makes me think of the times I went to a friend’s house where a similar situation was going on and observing the new boyfriend treating my friend like shit for literally no reason. One time I went to my friend Chad’s house and his “new dad” forbade him from watching TGIF with the rest of the family for reasons that were completely unclear to me. This meant that *I* wasn’t allowed to watch TGIF, either, because I was his guest. I did this impression that I think was a Jim Carrey bit, where it was Clint Eastwood but you yank some fat from your neck down so it forms an elongated adams apple, because he’s old you see, and it made Chad laugh really hard and the guy yelled at him for laughing too much. So he basically sent us out to go on a bike ride. We rode to a nearby walking trail and there were a few bikes parked outside the entrance. Chad picked the bikes up and tossed them into a ditch nearby. I thought it was so funny. Then some people appeared in the distance and Chad was like “these are probably their bikes, wait here”. I was terrified of getting in trouble, but Chad urged me to keep cool. When they got close to us, Chad asked them, innocently, “are those your bikes?” which they were, prompting Chad to tell some buillshit story about how some mean kids came and threw them in the ditch. He told them this while watching them fish the bikes out themselves, offering no help. They thanked Chad for being such a stand-up guy. Later that night, when were banished to Chad’s bedroom, Chad told me he had porn magazines but he couldn’t find them, so we spent the entire night cleaning his room. Then he gleefully admitted that he didn’t have any porn, he just wanted help cleaning his room. I thought he ruled, honestly. Anyway, Chad’s new dad medicated the shit out of him and he turned into a bitter jerk. He would hang out with us and just tell us constantly that we sucked and why. We thought it was funny and maybe he was going through a weird phase or something. We eventually drifted apart from him. The last interaction I had with him was post high school, when he sold me his top-loading NES for what turned out to be a major bargain. His bedroom, which was previously filled with kid garbage to the point where you couldn’t see the floor, was now completely bare except for a bed and a weight bench. He kept apologizing for not having a shirt on. When he grew up he lost weight and became a finance bro, running some sketchy finance company in our shitty home town. They installed a stripper pole in their office. Now he’s a real estate agent and sells mold-riddled houses to unsuspecting people. Anyway, I don’t remember liking this episode that much at the time and I still consider it to be fairly (Cartman impression) weak. [NOTE: Chad is a fake name. I mention this in case this somehow connects to a different person and they wanna sue me. SO SUE ME!]

Team Mysterion: Wendy
Powers: She’s on fire. Literally. Her body is always burning as if she has coal smoldering in her chest. When she focuses, she can direct all that heat to the palms of her hands where she can either control it like a fire geyser or in short, explosive bursts.
When she get’s really happy, smoke will start to pour out of her mouth especially when she’s laughing. She gets super embarrass it and every time she feels it bubbling up, she runs away. A lot of kids at school think she’s a bitch because they never see her laugh or even smile that much. A lot of people are intimidated by her which she encourages but she’s also scared that everyone will realize how not in control she is.
Wendy tries to present her life as being perfect but she’s anxious all the time. Anxious that she’ll hurt someone with her powers. That she’s not cut out to be a hero. That it’s all too much and she’ll burn out. Become a has-been like her parents. She’s scared that she can rage and burn all that she wants but she’ll never make a difference. She puts a lot of pressure on herself, sometime the voices in her head are so loud that she feels like screaming. She’ll usually go for a grueling run to just find some peace. She holds these worries close to heart, no one knows about it besides Kenny and Butters.
They help calm her down. Whenever she begins to panic and overheat, Kenny is there with breathing techniques and Butters is there with soft hugs and whispered assurances. She feels oddly at peace with the two of them.
Wendy may seem like lawful good but she’s more chaotic good. Whatever gets the job done, she’s willing to do whatever it takes whether it be a little manipulation or lots of explosives. Team Mysterion usually has the riskiest, dangerous plans and Wendy is 100% on board for it. Butters is the worrier, Kenny is the planner, and Wendy is the action.
She’s fiercely outspoken about social issues especially about women superheros and sexism in the media. She hates the concept that women have to wear skimpy clothing for costumes and demands equality in both. After a blog photo shopped Wendy’s outfit to be more revealing, she dressed in Mysterion’s costume, while Kenny and Butters wore outfits with cleavage windows. They all loved it.
After her relationship with Stan, she isn’t in a hurry to date anyone. At least that’s what she tells herself but her traitorous heart has started to develop feelings for someone. Right now, she is in denial about it and refuses to give it another thought. Emotions are a liability for heroes.
Her weakness is being submerged in ice cold water for a long time. When her powers manifested, she was skating on Stark’s Pond when she literally burned a hole through the ice and plunged into the freezing water. She remembers looking up as she sank to the bottom, the water boiling around her, she was certain she was going to die.
Someone rescued her that day. She doesn’t know who, all she remembers is waking up, soaked in Stan’s arms. She always thought he rescued her and he never corrected her until years later. It was a catalyst for their breakup. He doesn’t know who rescued her either, he just assumed the glory, something that Wendy thought was unforgivable. Since then, she has always wondered who was her hero that day.
She still loves hanging out with her friends but she has made it clear that Kenny and Butters are her boys. She’s super protective of them and if she catches anyone talking trash about them (usually Cartman) she isn’t afraid to fight them both physically and verbally. She doesn’t care what people say about her but mention Kenny or Butters and you’re dead.
She is stubborn and hard headed. She hates to admit that she’s wrong. The biggest thing about Wendy is that she feels everything so intensely. Love, hate, fear, anger, everything she feels is passionate and consuming. It’s why she’s protective over the ones that she loves and it’s also why she and Stan didn’t work out. She was putting more work in their relationship and eventually it just burned her out. She still cares about him and is always rooting for him but she’s happier being friends.
She’s ultra competitive and loves pranks. Her sense of humor is dumb and dorky, like the pinnacle of humor to her is replacing every utensil with rubber duckies. It doesn’t make sense but for some reason, she finds it hysterical. There is a prank week and Team Mysterion takes it seriously every year. Every year they get disqualified from it.
Wendy sobs at Disney movies and always insists on a movie marathon after a grueling mission. They camp out in her basement, wrapped up in blankets and drinking hot cocoa.
One time, Wendy fell asleep during the Lion King. When she wakes up, she feels something heavy on her shoulder. Butters is passed out on her, his hand is tangled with hers. He looks so young and sad when he’s asleep like a Renaissance painting of a cherub. A scarred cherub who is one the strongest people that she’s ever met. And then Wendy looks up and she nearly forgets how to breath because she fell asleep on Kenny’s shoulder, who is also passed out. If Butters is a cherub then Kenny is an avenging angel, all harsh lines and sharp cheekbones.
His arm is slung around her shoulder, his fingers brushing against Butters as if he’s making sure they’re still okay even in his sleep. And she marvels at how unfair it really is, that the two of them are so pretty with their fine eyelashes and their soft, golden curls. That’s when she realizes that she would die for them. She would go down fighting, with everything that she has. Even if it meant that her fire was extinguished, it wouldn’t matter if it meant they were safe. The thought frightens her so she closes her eyes and tries to go back to sleep. Emotions are a liability when you are a hero.

7 with craig tucker please
7. Tripped down stairs - Send me a number and follow the instructions from here and a character
“Fuck..” Those were the last words I heard before I loss my consciousness. I was heading to the third floor of the school to submit my homework when the sound of lockers slamming surprised me and caused me to lose my balance. I didn’t know what happened after I lost myself, I just woke up with a bright light staring above me. My body felt heavy, I have no idea how I got here and who brought me here. All I knew was that this place was the infirmary. I sat up from my bed and started to examine the room from where I stood. “(Y/N). You’re up” I hear a familiar voice as the curtain that secluded my from seeing the other side of the infirmary opened. “Craig?”
“Are you feeling better now?”
“Well my head kind of hurts, but I could be worse.” After I answered Craig took a stool and placed it next to the bed I was on and sat down. “What happened?” I asked. “You fell from the sky.” With stoic expression Craig tried cracking a joke. I looked at him un-amused and said “Very funny, Tucker. What really happened?” I asked again. “It’s really not that different. You fell down the stairs.” Craig answered. “I didn’t expect you to be such a klutz, (Y/N).”
“Shut up. This rarely happens.” I was so embarrassed that out of everyone in the whole school it’s Tucker who saw me fall down the stairs. This guy is always making fun of other people no doubt he’ll do the same to me. “Besides I got startled. Someone slammed their locker and it scared the living shit out of me.” I tried telling him what really happened. “Yeah, Cartman and Wendy were fighting again and one of the lockers broke.”
“They fought again?”
“Yeah, but it wasn’t as bad as when we were in elementary and Wendy beat the living shit out of Cartman”
“I noticed that too. Recently the two have been more tame when it came to their fights.”
The room went silent and I found myself holding on to the blanket on top of me. I didn’t know what to say. I’ve never spoke to Craig outside of class or when running errands for the teachers. “So do you plan on staying?” I asked him, while turning my head to face him. Craig looked up from the ground, this was the first I met his eyes. “Yeah. Garrison is out there giving everyone involve with the fight detention. I already have 2 weeks of detention, I don’t another 2 weeks” That’s right Tucker gets himself in trouble a lot. “If you don’t want to get another week why not try being a good student?”
“Like you?”
“Flattery won’t stop me from convincing you to behave, Tucker.”
“Ohh. Maybe if I told you that I carried you bridal style to the clinic might change your mind.”
“…”
My body froze when he said that. “Did you really?” a smirk formed on Craig’s smug face as I asked. “Why don’t you check Bebe’s twitter” Panicking I grabbed my phone and went to Bebe’s twitter.
“@BebeGirl: I just Craig saw carrying (Y/N) like a bride. Everyone was so surprised that even Cartman and Wendy stopped fighting.” I felt my cheeks warm up after reading the tweet. “Oh god” I hid my head on my pillow as to hide my embarrassment. “Why couldn’t you just called someone to pick me up.” I asked. “Did you get brain damage from when you fell? I wasn’t going to leave your unconscious body there.” I stared at him trying to read his facial expression on whether he had a hidden agenda. “I’m not up to something okay. Relax.”
“Sure. You don’t” I said sarcastically. “Listen I have nothing against you, I don’t have a reason to do something bad to you.” I stared at him straight in the eye “You would leave the body alone if it was anyone from Stan’s gang.”
“You’re totally right” He didn’t even hesitate. He answered the moment I finished talking. "And why isn’t it the same for me? Are you in love with me?“ Craig chuckled after hearing my assumption. "You’re straight to the point, (Y/N). If I said I was would you want to go on a date with me.” I flicked his forehead with my finger and replied to his teasing with an annoyed look “Very funny.” I said with a monotonous tone. “Like I said I have nothing against you. Unlike Stan and the other’s I don’t want to kick your ass or leave you on the side of the street.”
“What if I was Red?”
“I would probably call Clyde to pick you up then. You know how he feels about Red” Craig paused then added “And Annie, Ashley,Beth,Emily–”
“I get it. Clyde likes a lot of girls. Why didn’t you let him pick me up?”
“Yeah your fall really did give you brain damage”
“No it did not. I’m completely fine and thinking straight.”
“Then you might just be stupid to begin with.”
“Just answer the question already.”
“It doesn’t take a genius to know that you don’t like Clyde.”
“Hey- I don’t hate him.” I have never talked to Clyde, I probably talked more to Craig than Clyde. I just didn’t get him and how he flirted with every girl in the school, I try to avoid him every time I see him. He just can’t keep his pants to himself. “Yeah, You just don’t like him hitting on you.”
“If you know that why don’t you tell him to leave me alone.”
“Trust me. There’s a reason why he isn’t constantly trying to get inside your pants”
“That reason being?”
From the way Craig looked at me with his eyes widening for a second, I realized that he was hiding something. “You were just surprised just now.”
“No. I just saw Garrison from the window.”
“Bullshit.” I said as I excitedly got closer to him. “I’m on to something aren’t I?!”
Craig looked at me and before I realized it our face was really close to each other. The stoic expression that Craig used to have on his face was no longer there. I could feel his eyes pierce into my soul. “What?” I pondered what has happened to him and his cool exterior. “Stay still.” He said as he placed his palm on my cheek and pulled me closer.
“Craig, I know you’re in here.” because of Craig’s face blocking my view I couldn’t make out where the sound was coming from, but I knew who that voiced belonged to. “Oh excuse me. I didn’t know you kids were getting it on.” Garrison being the pervert that he was didn’t scold us and just left the room. From Garrison’s view we were probably making out, but in reality our faces were just close to each other. I moved back and slapped Craig’s face. “Don’t do that.”
“Sorry. I panicked.”
“That’s no excuse. You pervert.”
“I know. I regret what I did.”
“Lia–” before I called him a liar I saw his his cheek turn red. The color stretched from his cheek to his ears. “I should be the one turning red!”
“I’m not Clyde you know even I get flustered with having a cute girls near my face.” I accidentally flicked Craig’s forehead again as a response to his compliment. “What the fuck was that for!? I was giving you a compliment”
“I didn’t ask for it”
“Fine, but why are your cheeks so red.”
“I’m just not used to getting compliments”
“Liar. I saw you react to Stan’s compliment the other day. You weren’t blushing at all.” Craig said as he stood up from the chair. “That was because we were friends.” I tried explaining myself to him, even though I didn’t need to. “You’re a liar too. I know you would have carried any girl bridal style here.” I said as I also matched his actions and got off the bed and stood up in front of him. The height difference was obvious he was 6'2 while I was 5'7. “I already told you I would have Clyde help them out.”
“Bullshit” I shouted at him as I raised my head to met his eyes once more. “What is it with you and bringing up other girls? Are you jealous or something? We aren’t even dating.” His eyes stared deeply into mine as our conversation got heavier. We rarely spoke to each other yet when we do things seemed to get heated, especially with this one. I had no idea why I was dragging Red’s name into this. “Jealousy is an ugly emotion.”
“I told you I’m not jealous.”
“Then why are you bringing up other girls?”
“Why won’t you answer my question!” When I had finished shouting I felt a sense of pain on my leg which caused me to fall forwards. Not wanting to show a sign of weakness I placed my palm on his chest and said “Just leave.” I said as to get him to leave the room. Thinking Craig didn’t notice the sharp pain I was feeling on my leg I felt his hand on my arm that I used to support me from falling. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Just go home. Garrison probably left.”
“I told you I’m not leaving your unconscious body alone”
“I’m not unconscious. I’m talking to you right now.”
“I know I just needed an excuse to stay here.”
“I’ll be fine. I’ll just call my mom to pick me up from school.”
“I already asked the nurse to call her. She’ll pick you up in a few minutes.”
“See! You should go now.”
“(Y/N).”
“What?”
With a concern expression I felt his finger on my cheek. Apparently I had been crying for a while now and I didn’t even know. “I don’t have to leave if you don’t want me to.”
“What are you on about?”
“You’re clearly upset about the idea of me carrying another girl.”
“I don’t care who you carry” after saying that I felt his soft lips against mine. “I wouldn’t carry another girl bridal style. I would probably bring them to the clinic, but not the same way as I did for you. You’re different okay.”
The kiss took me off guard and I found myself burying my face on his hoodie. “Why is that you were the one who found me.” the room grew silent once more and I heard Craig took a deep breath. “I was actually on my way to tell you I liked you.” I felt that Craig truly meant that so I raised my head from his hoodie and looked at him. “Why would you do that?”
“I’ve never seen any other girl avoid Clyde the way you do. I was really impressed with how athletic and creative you are with your escape routes.”
“You know a bunch of girls are the same.”
“Yeah, but they’re not as creative and witty as you.”
I looked at him with my cheeks once more feeling warmer than ever. “Do it again.”
“Do what?” He asked. Craig was absolutely confused with what I wanted from him. “The thing”
“What thing?”
“Ki–” Before I could say anything I felt his lips against mine once again. “You’re such a liar.”
“So should I take that demand for a kiss to be a "Yes”?“
"A yes for what?”
“If you wanted to be my girlfriend.”
“We can try. I don’t really know much about you.”
“I can settle for that. What do you want to know about me?”
“What did you tell Clyde?” I brought back the conversation from earlier. “I told him that he shouldn’t bother you. You aren’t the type to have one night stand with.”
“For someone I barely know much about you sure know me.”
“It was just a hunch, but I’m glad I was right”

❝ GET A LOAD OF THIS MONSTER ! ❞
Irony is something common in this world. For example, you best friend, Craig, is a ghost, and his husband, Tweek, is a witch. Actually, he's more of a ghost hunter. Wendy is a fallen angel, and her girlfriend, Bebe, is a succubus. Cartman is a demon, and his ex-girlfriend is a nymph. You find that ironic because Heidi was the calmest, sweetest, forest nymph in existence. All she wanted was someone to care for her the way Mother Nature had once. However, after Cartman, she became rather chaotic an aggressive. She doesn't trust men anymore, which is why when you go to see her, you keep your female form. You don't see much of him, but you know that Token is an angel while Clyde is a fairy. You can kind of see how they got attached to each other, but no relationship could also fit quite as well as Stan and Kyle's. Tweek and Craig was pretty close to a perfect relationship, outside of the irony of it. Stan is one of Satan's twins, keeper of Hellhounds. So, as expected, he's a rather powerful person an to be feared. Kyle, on the other hand, has telekinesis. You like to call him Carrie, in reference to the popular book. Not ot mention how similar the two seem at times. The ginger has always had trouble with anger. Seeing that you've introduced all your friends into this story, it might be a wise idea to throw yourself into the mix. Your name is Kenny McCormick, you're a succubus. Before the reader assumes anything, you do have morals. You have a little girl at home, she's not biologically yours, but you like to call her your own. Karen, that's her name. She was dumped off due to being half angel and half demon, no creature wanted her but you. And you make sure she knows that. You cherish Karen constantly, yoru free time goes into loving her and doing things with her. It's not her fault she was born this way. She has found some interest in some of your other friends' siblings and such. Craig's little living sister, Tricia, is one of her best friends. Kyle's brother, Ike, is the same way. Tricia has always been highly involved in your world, more than her own. You've expected this, considering that she lost her brother at such a young age and, until recently, had never actually seen his ghost form. However, that does not stop Craig from being overprotective of her. Ike is Kyle's adopted brother, is the son of a demon and a human, though was raised by a witch for most of his life. Thus, Ike is someone who visits hell on weekends and every other Christmas while also possessing the talent of witchcraft since he was two. Now days, at age thirteen, Ike is raised by Kyle's mother, a simple human. He practices witchcraft on his own. Speaking of ages, Karen's birthday was a couple days ago. That's mainly why you're aware of all the current events in your friends circle, as all of you gather every time one of you turns thirteen, eighteen, or thirty. Significant ages for creatures like your own. Most of you weren't met to live past fifteen. It's easy to say that you have had a tiring and worrisome week. For one, it was the first event Craig had actually revealed himself to everyone at. Since Tricia turned thirteen a couple months ago, he decided it was probably time to stop hiding himself. He isn't a pleasant sight to wake up to first in the morning, though it sure was a surprise for Tricia to find out that, yes, while Craig was nineteen, he still had the body of an eleven year old. It was also quite a mess when you had to shove Bebe in the closet when she tried to give the kids Sex ED. It explains why you're here in the bar, now. You just wanna get laid, or maybe find some friends. Whatever cleanses your mind of worrying. While Tweek and Craig were watching the kids during their sleepover, you couldn't help but worry. Most mythical creatures don't survive after thirteen. Especially cross breeds. That's when a very sober blond sits beside you and tilts their head to the side. Their eyes are a light blue, and you can just barely see hints of a sunflower tattoo on their shoulder. They wore a light blue sweater, like their eyes, and a white skirt that fell to their knees. "What's a pretty gal like you doing in here?" They ask, very clearly confused. "Could ask you the same thing," you responded, taking a sip from your cup. It takes you a moment to register that they referred to you as female, as you quickly glance down at your outfit and nod to yourself. Right form. They roll their eyes, a slight smile on their face, "Well, I'm Marjorine, but most people call me Butters. Came out here to find a witch, I think his name was Tweek . . . ? My parents said I'm sick, hehe . . ." You smile back, realizing that they meant no harm, "I'm Mackenzie, but call me Kenny. I know Tweek, he's busy tonight. Mind me asking for your pronouns? And why they say your sick?" Marjorine stares for a moment before snapping back to reality and nodding, "Oh, uh, well . . . Gender neutral, I guess. They say I'm sick because I'm genderfluid . . ." Your smile quickly turns upside down as you pat them gently. It seems your aura has drawn this one to you. You always get the insecure ones, it seems. "I may seem a bit quick to judge, but . . . Wanna come to my place? Get it on?" You question, an eyebrow raised and a smirk on your lips. You've done this one too many times. They freeze for a moment, staring up at you in both confusion and slight fear, "I-I'm sorry, what?" "Sex. I want you to fuck me," you clarify voice raised back up to a normal tone instead of a seductive whisper. "No." The stern answer that comes out of their mouth surprises you, confusing you before you proceed to convince. "Aww, come on. I can be anything you want. I can male," with a snap of your fingers, your long blond hair is cut short, and your jawline sharp. "I can be a masculine female," snap. "I can a feminine male." snap. "I can even be all of the above, or neither." Snap. Your form changes to whatever you say. Brunette. Noirette. Ginger. Tattoos. No tattoos. Piercings. Anything and everything the blond wants. Yet, they still shake their head. "You be what you wanna be, fella. It's wrong for me to tell you how to present," Marjorine answered, reaching to pull something on their shoulder, only to discover it wasn't there. Your mind draws a blank as you half mindedly snap your fingers and return to your female form. You've never dealt with someone who said no. "What's the problem? Got a girlfriend or a wife to worry about? They won't find out~" You continue to try and persuade, yet Marjorine shakes their head once again. "Sorry, I'm not interested," they smiled cheerfully, "Sex isn't something I want to experience yet. I'd like to get to know you, though." Your brain shuts down, deciding that maybe it wasn't worth the trouble as you continue talking to them, "Fine, fine. What do you want to know?" "You're a succubus, aren't you? Kyle told me something about how people up here aren't normal. He wanted me to find a witch named Tweek an that his husband would be able to help me . . ." Marjorine said, beginning to ramble before shutting themselves up. You nod along with the phrases, "Yeah, there's only a couple humans up here. They're mainly hippies trying to get away from society," you say with a snicker of laughter. "What kind of creatures are up here?" They question, leaning over the bar as their curious blue eyes pour into your violet ones. You begin to ramble on about everyone you've met up here in the small mountain town of South Park. You mainly talk about Kyle and his powers, how he threw you through a wall in rage one time, and how he met Stan. It quickly turns into you talking about Stan and his twin brother, Damien, as the two sons of Satan. You talk about Tweek and Craig, about how they knew each other since kindergarten when Craig died very suddenly and Tweek took on his mother's place as the family witch. You don't mention how Craig died or Tweek's dad. You felt sickened to even mention his mom, even though she had nothing to do with all the drama between the Tweaks an Tuckers. You change the subject to Tricia, Ike, and Karen. You talk about how they're the only surviving mythical children up here so far, about how Karen is practically your daughter and how protective Craig can get over the three. Marjorine listens intently to all you have to say, they say they met Kyle in middle school, before he snapped and moved away from the big city to conceal his powers. They used to be close to Cartman before they figured out how much he was manipulating them. You two talk for hours on end before you decide you need to get home, and offer to take Marjorine with you to see Tweek and Craig since they were babysitting at his house. You take Marjorine home, where Kyle welcomes them from the house next door using the name Butters. They talk for a bit and marjorine mentions they'd rather go by that name than Butters, the ginger apologies and you head inside. Tweek sits in the living room, doodling something while you head upstairs to check on your dark angel. Ike, Tricia, and Karen lay on the mattress on the floor, covered in blankets an plushies with a flashlight on next to Karen's side of the bed. Craig isn't far from the bed, sitting in a chair and playing with one of the baby dolls Tricia brought. Hearing you open the door, he blindly looks around for the source of the sound with his empty and bloody sockets. You tap on the door and his blank gaze meets your bright one. "K . . . Kenny?" He questions, voice raspy and dry. You nod, forgetting he can't see such an action and adding on, "Yeah, it's me. Is Karen okay?" He cracks a weak smile, the moonlight reflecting off of the glass pieces in his neck, "Better than ever."

Why I’m a Heiman Shipper
Eric and Heidi’s relationship is incredibly horrible and toxic yet I am a Heiman shipper and the following rant is why. The relationship between Heidi and Cartman is probably the most compelling things I’ve seen in South Park for a long time. I’ve been thinking about these between the two for a while and I think I have a reasonably logical look through the evolution of this relationship.
So, to start off, what is Eric’s motivation and reasoning for treating Heidi the way he does. A lot of people say that he is just a representation of an abusive relationship and while that is certainly true, I believe there is a bit more to Cartman. Firstly, in “Oh Jeez” season 20, Butters criticized Eric for defending Heidi and he stated “you’ve changed Eric! You’ve really changed!” I always wondered why Eric had become so weak willed in Season 20, a lot of people just joked “that seeing a vagina changes a man”. I believe what has caused him to have become so weak is the running joke of the season “smart and funny.”
For the longest time, Eric has gained happiness through the manipulation of others, that’s what he’s known for and what he’s best at. In season 20 he experiences one of the greatest of joys of life, being in a loving relationship and all he had to do was constantly praise her for being smart and funny. Eric got to be with a sweet and wonderful girl and he barely had to do any manipulating whatsoever. This made him complacent and weak minded, gone was the mastermind and instead Cartman just spouted the same lines of manipulation. With this, he went through what I would consider the honeymoon period of a relationship and while he had become weak minded Cartman, I think he still had his core values.
It was clear that he wasn’t willing to be in a proper and positive relationship, shown with his panicked fib to Heidi about his comments on Ghostbusters. This is shown later in season 21 ep 1. The honeymoon period had ended, the more negative sides of being in a relationship were starting to show. At this point I don’t think Cartman was ill seeking of Heidi and the reason of I give him leeway is because a girlfriend or loved one complaining or nagging is a common nuisance amongst some guys, even Stan was shown to be annoyed by Wendy’s complaining in “Butter’s Bottom Bitch.”
Cartman, being a spoiled 10 year old, finding a girl nagging and complaining, even if the complaints are well meaning, would naturally see himself as a victim. Weak minded Cartman then used the only trick he knew at that point, mindlessly praising her “you’re right I’m wrong.” To me, him saying that shows he was still in the state of mind where he thought saying “you’re smart and funny and I’m stupid” was what it took to be in a relationship. But it didn’t work and weak minded Cartman seemed to have broken, him yelling “silence” showing how desperate and confused he was. Finally, at the end of the episode he wrote “you are strong” on his hand and to me, this was him encouraging himself to recover from being weak minded Cartman and I believe from this point he dedicated himself to fix the relationship in his own twisted way. Everything he has done up to episode 7 I believe was an attempt to return to that honeymoon period of their relationship. The Cartman way.
He began plan A to change Heidi by making her think she is the one at fault for their poor relationship. He did this breaking up with her and threatening suicide. His intention was never to simply break up with her and end it at that, both breaking up and crawling back to her was to change her to by lowering her self-confidence. This was shown to have failed as their relationship seemed to have not changed whatsoever and he was still annoyed by her in the same ways as before. Cartman seemed to have just accepted that their relationship was just going to be like this forever until “Sons a Witches.” Cartman looked like he accepted his fate with his begrudging acceptance that she takes a long time to go out. The fact that he still chose to go with her to the Pumpkin Patch despite knowing this (“why does she do this every time”) showed that he was dedicated to the relationship but when she made him miss the pumpkin patch, he broke once again and then he undertook plan B. Plan B was to change her by breaking her will through acts of attempted murder followed by immediate amends. This however, was shown yet again to have failed.
Heidi seemed to be as strong willed as ever as in the beginning of “Doubling Down” she was catching on to his act and actually turned the situation around to her favour. She was resistant to Cartman’s pleas which caused him to panic and accept being a vegan which angered him greatly. He called her a “controlling manipulative whore,” and from his perspective that makes a lot of sense. Plan B fell flat and actually ended up with him becoming vegan so Heidi continuing to be willing to shape their relationship in a positive and genuine way was working. She was unknowingly out manipulating Cartman. A lot of people were feeling sorry for Heidi and while she was certainly miserable a lot of the time, she was actually putting up a good fight against Cartman.
Cartman then began plan C to break her and this one actually seemed to be working. I don’t think he was fattening her up to make her a female Cartman but he was doing it so that he could humiliate her to break her. He didn’t want to be in a relationship with Heidi just to toy with and ridicule her, I think the mocking was a means to an end and it was working. However, with some simple support from Kyle, she decided to end the relationship. Cartman was absolutely distraught and some people were confused as to why Cartman was so upset when Heidi broke up with him. I think that when he said, “she was my whole world,” he meant it. I think both were putting their all into the relationship, both wanted to recapture the magic that there was in the beginning and it was a battle between Cartman’s way and Heidi’s way, a battle between Cartman’s deception and Heidi’s will and good nature. It was pretty neck and neck until plan C where Cartman finally pulled ahead but then Heidi just dropped out of the race. Cartman was putting effort into fixing the relationship, he was just doing it the only way he knew how which naturally is really fucked up.
Unfortunately, the whole world seemed to be conspiring against Heidi as her friends’ “we told you so” was the straw that broke the camels back. In the end, Cartman was unable to take over Heidi on his own and it was her friends that allowed him to finally win. I think people saying, “I want Heidi to be Happy! Let her be with Kyle! Cartman is the worst ever!” are looking beyond the complexity of their relationship. Yes, it would be heart-warming to see Heidi end up with a good boy, but if she did, her relevance in the show would probably diminish severely and she has grown to be in the top five of my favourite characters. I feel like it’s safe to say that a relationship between Heidi and Kyle would be no where near as captivating as one between Heidi and Cartman nor would it be as ripe for opportunities.

Shingeki no Kyojin chapter 95 review (+ theories)
Yet another Marley chapter and possibly the beginning of a Marley volume. Personally, I was a bit skeptical at the beginning of this arc, but now that we’re deep in for a couple of chapters, I’m warming up to the new developments.
Overall, Isayama does a great job switching between the past and the present in this chapter. The first half is dedicated to the following from last chapter, the ultimatum to retake Paradis and the whereabouts of the 9th titan. The second half delves further into Reiner’s past and focuses on the segment from the titanification of the six chosen warriors to Ymir eating Marcel.
We still have a lot of things to discuss in this chapter, so follow me under the cut. Thanks to @kaschy for the scans!
Last night
The warrior meeting
The warriors’ showcase
Reiner’s shattered ambitions
So where does that leave us?
Last night
Gabi’s ambitions - Ch. 95
The whole chapter is starting with Reiner and Gabi walking to the HQ, being cheered by the Eldian crowd. Gabi feels unusually down compared to other days, because she found out something was unusual with Reiner. Not only Gabi, but Karina as well. That confirms what her intentions were since last chapter. She wanted to end the conversation because Reiner was disturbed by the whole sequence of events.
Also, Reiner apparently displayed that whole behavior since he came back from Paradis alone, meaning after the second assault. Karina witnessed her grown son with shattered views and without his war comrades. Moreover, said son didn’t want to reveal much details about the whole campaign, which makes Reiner hardly to grasp from an outsider’s perspective.
Ahem, “old man” at 21, Reiner? What does that make me or anybody in their twenties here? A bag of bones? Well, granted, his lifespan has been reduced and he’s seen shit more than us, hence why he’s starting to get old in his head. PTSD, loss of innocence... all that makes you age in the brain twice as fast as anybody else.
It’s officially confirmed: blood relationships are a huge factor in passing down memories, which explains why Porco was able to receive some memories, but Ymir wasn’t. Same thing happened with Eren being more susceptible to Grisha than anybody preceding him.* And because Reiner experimented so many traumas throughout his life as a warrior, he doesn’t want Gabi to see what truly happened to him and make her regret her decision.
Why Gabi wants Reiner’s power - Ch. 95
And that’s precisely because Gabi wants to understand Reiner’s pain that she isn’t going to drop the deal on the Armored. I suspected she wanted the power of the titans not to become the best warrior who will slaughter all the devils, but also because she wanted to preserve a unique bond with the man she admires. The fact she turned out to be family only amplified my theory and this chapter confirms it.
Since she’s so adamant into obtaining the Armored, she’s going to headbutt with Falco to gain it...
...literally (Ch. 95)
And it doesn’t seem Falco’s new resolve since last battle isn’t paying off.
Gabi beating Falco - Ch. 95
Since Isayama said he based Gabi on female!Eren, people were quick to point out the similarities between Gabi and Eren. While they may have been comparable when chapter 91 was out (enthusiastic girl vs. angry revengeful boy beating people up), they had their set of differences, that were further elaborated in volume 23. Gabi was a prodigy in her promotion, not afraid of using cunning tactics to get her way (ie. with Magath) whereas Eren was decent enough, but mostly used the flame in his eyes to get himself a place in the top 10. Adding to that, he’s not very bright. When it comes to convictions, Gabi wants to fight for the future of Eldia and shorten her lifespan to protect her people and her family. She’s mostly walking in Reiner’s footsteps where she wanted to become a hero.
*NB: While blood relations are a significant factor, it’s not the decisive one. Porco was able to see Reiner through Ymir’s memories and Eren caught a glimpse of Frieda brushing her hair. So it’s still possible for Armin to catch a glimpse of Bertolt’s memories, even if it’s highly unlikely.
The warrior meeting
Zeke’s room - Ch. 95
More lighthearted moments with Pieck crawling to the ground before getting right in the middle of an important discussion. Pieck is quickly gaining the favors of the audience with her chill attitude and her intelligence, which was underlined several times by the Marlean army and by Zeke himself.
SASUGA PIKKU-CHAN - Ch. 95
Zeke claims the Marlean officers were there, but “not in this room”. Reiner and Pieck were quick to catch on. Porco... not so much, at the point where he had to be bailed by Reiner for manifesting his protestations a bit too much.
The army is judging the reactions of each warrior when it comes to launching the operation on Paradis island again. When Zeke is detailing the whole context, he’s putting extra emphasis on their possible extinction if the plan were to fail again.
“Over the past few years, Marley has come out on top from an age of struggles for resources, using our titans to silence whatever nations that try to oppose it. This has led the world's hatred of Eldians to expand to levels... that remind us of the old imperial times. We have served Marley in order to show our remorse for our history. We were not wrong to do so. But... The voices from around the world calling for the extermination of the Eldian people have grown even louder.
In addition... recent battles have made it even more clear to all that conventional weapons will outperform titan weaponry in the future. In other words, it will not be long before Eldians lose their tactical value. Once we do, Marley will no longer be able to maintain its power as a nation. If Marley is weak, the walls separating Eldians from the rest of the world will disappear. And then, our right to life will be in an even more precarious position.” - Ch. 95
Magath commented about Zeke’s speech being a little too much. Looking at the text, Zeke is really saying “if we don’t do something NOW, the time of everyone is counted”. Doing that actually boosts the warriors to take action in the next few days. That matches Zeke’s personal ambitions to use his last year to bring an end to the mission on Paradis, before taking down the Fritz line with him, and probably assuring more peaceful days to Colt and the others. Besides, he still made saving Eren into his own goal. What if he felt responsible somehow to allow Grisha escape to Paradis and cause trouble? The plan to capture the Founding Titan has become complicated when Grisha meddled with it after all and Zeke knows how nuts his father is.
In order to protect themselves and the world, they have to retake the Founding Titan, while finding a way to boost their reputation up. This is where our long-awaited 9th titan pops up.
The Tybur family - Ch. 95
So far they’ve been described as the neutral force of Marley, being a representative icon of the Eldian force on the continent, a bunch of honorary aristocrats and the first family opposing King Fritz. They dress up in traditional clothes unlike the rest of Eldian Marleans and keep a titan in their family, allowing them to keep.memories from the time where the 145th king left the continent.
They’re contrasting with the Reiss family on Paradis: traditional, important families keeping a titan power with them and acting as a neutral force during affairs. I smell the political subplot coming with these guys, and probably tales from the separation between the Eldians from Paradis and the rest. Them acting as a major force isn’t surprising, since Marley couldn’t do anything against titans themselves. Zeke’s part of the story makes me think the Tybur family was the starting point before the others followed.
Considering we got every titan introduced and their status current, that cements the Attack Titan as being the second power who fled on Paradis. It was then smuggled in Marley through Kruger and back to Grisha and Eren. So why was the Attack Titan on Paradis? Did they wait carefully on the island waiting to make Eldia great again, or was its original purpose different, but the message was lost throughout the next generations?
And what seems to be the patriarch of the Tybur family will hold a speech... which seems to be either the prelude to another exposé or the perfect chance to ruin it by our dear amputee, right?. Another point. The patriarch isn’t necessary the holder of the power, as demonstrated by the King Fritz puppet, or Rod, who weren’t the founders. I can’t wait to meet the Tybur detaining the power. Warriors teaming up with them to go back on Paradis truly signs the beginning of the end of the series, as Zeke insists on that tentative being their last chance.
The second part is dedicated to Reiner’s past, as he realizes he has to return on Paradis for the last time.
The warriors’ showcase
The Female and Armored titans - Ch. 95
This is where Isayama got his fit of inspiration from Guardians of the Galaxy, it seems. We have a complete showcase of the warriors and their titan powers.
Female Titan (Annie): the Swiss knife of the team, a screamer and a fighter, quite fast
Armored Titan (Reiner): the shield of the team, great amount of stamina, can charge through a gate made of titan crystal
Jaw Titan (Marcel): the assaulter, quick and can destroy small units, much like a cat
Beast Titan (Zeke): the pitcher, destroys units at distance, adds something special thanks to that extra Fritz blood
Cartman Titan (Pieck): the rat, can be equipped with multiple weapons
Colossus Titan (Bertolt): THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION, can be used as a bomb for complete annihilation
Up until now, we’ve seen the titans associated with the forte of each warrior, but there’s still some things that aren’t obvious. We’ve never seen Zeke’s pitching technique in last chapter. Reiner is dead last but endurance was shown as being one of his main traits (Porco was implied to be more physically adapted). the way I see Bertolt’s marksmanship is his accuracy, focus and patience, since he himself becomes the bullet. Timing is essential.
Another fact I appreciated in this chapter is Magath’s humanity surfacing again. He’s cemented as the Shadis of the warriors and their military senior figure, although he shouldn't get too attached to kids who have the potential to die sooner than the final hour that has been given to them.
Reiner’s shattered ambitions
Reiner realizing he wasn’t meant to be chosen - Ch. 95
Of course, the biggest portion of the flashback is Reiner’s life slowly creeping to the bottom. The smugness displayed earlier when he was chosen instead of Porco was quickly brushed away by him meeting his father and him learning he wasn’t chosen because of talent.
A short parenthesis on Porco. He was obviously broken learning he wasn’t chosen and for the most part, it was because he didn’t want to get separated from his brother. There’s no mistake about their appearance: they’re twins. Just change the eye and hair color and they’re similar. And as twins, I’m expecting them t have a deeper attachment than any SnK sibling. It’s the last we see of that poor boy in this panel:
The Galliard twins, Reiner and Bertolt - Ch. 95
Notice how Bertolt was all proud of Reiner who blew Porco off. He’s adorable in this chapter.
Next, we’re meeting Reiner’s dad. The man Reiner wanted to live with alongside his mom, which was the main reason why he joined the army. And what do we find out?
Reiner’s father being scared of his son - Ch. 95
...Well, it was to be expected. The main rule of this manga is to not trust any father and Reiner’s isn’t any exception. Judging by the parallels with Historia, I expected him to be a male!Alma, someone who felt cursed by the birth of their child. Was he watching Reiner to make sure he isn’t following him? The news about him wanting to live with him shocked him to be honest. As much as it hurts, the reasons are obvious. They can’t live together and everything tends to point Reiner’s conception as a mistake. Yet again someone who didn’t know where to put their teeny weeny.
And that hit Reiner hard. So much that he lost himself for a moment. And from that point onward, he kept secrets after secrets, starting with his mother and Porco for Marcel’s behavior.
He also starts to lie about himself and keeps repeating in his end it’s not the end of the world if one of his endgame projects isn’t realized...
“...and become a hero to the world“ - Ch. 95
...right?
The whole operation was meant to last a month, ending on the full moon. It took up 5 years in total and pending for 4 years still. And only Reiner made it back.
I’m starting to think neither Reiner, Ymir and Bertolt made it back to Marley in the meantime. They had to wait for the army at full moon, and Zeke (and likely Pieck) was still there, wandering around. Taking account of what Gabi said, Karina hasn’t seen Reiner since he came back alone. If that’s the case then oww... Bertolt really never made it home then.
During that conversation, it’s clear Marcel doesn’t believe much in Marley’s mumbo jumbo. He takes orders sure but doesn’t see any pride in holding one of the nine titans. No one is impressed by Reiner’s speech either.
Instead, Marcel wanted to protect Porco’s life by sacrificing Reiner instead. I believe Marcel tried to do the right thing, but he ended up prioritizing his brother. Before this chapter, I saw the brothers’ fate as being more of a “from the wmb to the tomb” sort of motto, but I guess Marcel wanted to take the brunt for his sibling till the very end.
Marcel apologizing - Ch. 95
Marcel must’ve felt so bad back then. In fact that’s probably what pushed him to save Reiner from Ymir, the next morning. But in the end, Ymir, 5 years later, came back, giving Marcel’s titan power out of all powers, to Porco, the twin Marcel wanted to keep away from the curse. Again another useless sacrifice.
As Ymir popped from the ground and ate Marcel, Reiner kept that mantra in his head, to prove himself his life isn’t a thread of lies.
Ymir about to eat Reiner - Ch. 95
Sounds familiar? We’ve got the origins on how Reiner lost himself in this whole soldier/warrior thing. Since the training in Paradis was less harsh, everybody held Reiner as a competent guy, as a hero. That’s probably how the soldier roleplay started.
Thanks @kyojinofbraveos for pointing some details about Reiner’s behavior.
So where does that leave us?
Looks like we’re scrolling up until Reiner reaches his current point, with probably an emphasis on Annie’s and Bertolt’s characters. We still need to see their families.
There’s the whole Tybur subplot introduced as well and I’m curious to see how it’ll play out. I’m hoping it’ll bring details as to how they should attack Paradis, considering not a single ship made it back. Paradis is, under their point of view, a huge unknown and thus, seeing the invasion under the warriors’ point of view would be just as intriguing as seeing Titans under the SL’s point of view. Again, this is the first chapter of the volume, the point B could be the whole Paradis invasion plan unfolding or more Marley insights before we depart... or both. Isayama is packing information a lot in these chapters lately. Good thing he maintains the pace.
