THINGS TO KNOW

This blog is set not long after Season 1 of Hazbin Hotel. It is canon-divergent in that anything that happens in canon after this blog was established is not canon to the blog, unless I choose to make it so. The blog has its own lore, and all asks exist within the same continuity. All major story arcs are tagged on the navigation page to easily keep track of plot developments.

NSFW themes are allowed, but I'm unlikely to get graphic with anything. 

Due to the nature of this, this is an 18+ blog - MINORS DNI. This is for everyone’s protection - these characters will say inappropriate things when responding to asks, so I can’t risk a minor being on the receiving end of such things. If I find out a minor is sending in asks, you will be blocked.

OCs are welcome to interact, but please no children and no one who's related to/has history with one of the characters.

Canon characters sending in asks will be treated as though they're from a different universe, since this blog has its own lore for the characters that other portrayals of the character might not fit.

RP is done through asks, not reblogs.

If you send a link, please include a brief description of what the link is to. (It can be as simple as 'an edit of Lucifer and Charlie'.) I ask this because I've been sent links to leaks, and I'd like to avoid that, so I won't open links unless I know what they are.

The majority of these characters aren't good people, so don't expect them to always be nice. (Similarly, just because a character says something doesn't mean I, the moderator, agree with it.)

I will answer most things via queue, which posts 10-15 times a day. There will also be exceptions, such as if the asks are connected to a current situation that’s happening, a limited time event/game, or you know, if I feel like it.

Be kind and respectful! Giving the characters a hard time is fine, but spreading hate to anyone who interacts with the blog is a blockable offense.

What is Not Allowed Here?

I draw the line at NSFW content containing minors or characters who only appear in the source material as minors. Pairings must also pass the Harkness Test - creatures must be able to communicate in a way all participants can understand clear consent, they must have enough intelligence and sentience to understand clear consent, and they must be at or over the minimum age of consent for their species. No sexual pairings are to contain characters who are blood related, with the exception of Sorn/Nym Orlith who may be in a situation with multiple other partners but as they state in game they will not interact with each other, nor will they be with only one other partner.

All Participants must be 18+ - Minors DNI with this blog! The game is rated 18+ and so is a lot of the fan content, please respect this and wait until you are old enough to safely interact with 18+ fandom creativity (for your own safety and that of the creators)

Controversial Content, Tagging, and CWs

Controversial characters, Dead Dove topics, and triggering content is permitted here on the understanding that you will appropriately tag all submissions and fics with the CWs and Tags that apply to it, so readers and writers have the choice of what they engage with.

If possible, drop a comment on the post so we know you're working on it, then those looking to claim a bunny that has no home yet can look further for more. You can claim a bunny that already has a claim if you'd like to, of course! Bunnies need lots of love.

I was inspired of course by @charactersmashorpass / @charactersmashorpass-2 but also @smashingorpassing and especially @ace-attorney-smash-or-pass who put the fandom specificity idea in my head.

Please only interact (this includes submitting characters) if you are 18 or older. If you're part of a system, this has to be true both for all fronters at the time of any given interaction and for the body. All polls will run for a week, if one doesn't I posted it wrong and you're free to point it out.

Rules for character submissions:

Has to be from a licensed Star Trek medium. Beta canon is fine, OCs are not. Unless it's very funny, then I might make a (rare!) exception.

They don't have to be a major character or even appear more than once but it'd be good if there was enough canon information for people to make an informed decision. Having a canon appearance (that isn't super blurry) would almost always fulfil this requirement but you may have to provide an image yourself.

It is not a requirement for it to be feasible to have sex with them. If you wanna fuck a non-corporeal character, we'll assume you'd figure out a way. It will be assumed they also really wanna try to have sex with you if you choose smash.

Controversially, I will not have a universal minimum age but they do have to pass the Harkness test which includes being of sexual maturity for their species (tho I'll rule they also have to be of more general maturity for their species, some real life humans become "sexually mature" before their teens but that doesn't mean you should fuck them; characters from asexually reproducing species will ofc only be judged on overall maturity). If their age is unknown or it's unknown when their species would be considered mature, I will consider the way the narrative treats them. So TL;DR: Kes is fine, Zero is not.

(As an extension of this, artificial life forms designed to function like adults will not be disqualified based on how long they've been active while artificial life forms designed to emulate children/minors will never qualify. Where this line is drawn in unclear cases will be decided by me on a case by case basis. So the EMH is fine, Lal is not.)

(recently adjusted) If the character is shown at different life stages within one series, I will judge based on the one people are most likely to think of when they think of that character (eg Jake and Nog are not acceptable) and if they are to be considered from another series where they are an adult, they have to be at least a recurring character in it, very small narrative roles and cameos do not count. As a rule of thumb: if someone only watching the show where they're an adult would remember them after, that's probably okay. So Prodigy!Wes is fine, Picard!Wes is not.

That said, you are allowed to submit specific versions of a character, including alternate timeline versions, if they pass all other requirements, eg you can submit specifically Solid Odo or Dilf Harry from the episode Timeless, but you still can't submit adult Naomi from Shattered.

I reserve the right to reject any submission, especially if I have reason to believe it was made in bad faith, but other than that scenario I don't think this is likely to happen.

The Basics

Hitman Holiday Hoarders is a gifting fest in the style of Fandom Giftbox and Fandom Trees.

Gifts are required to be drabble length (100 words) at minimum. Longer works are of course welcome.

What is a gifting fest?

Participants sign up by adding a prompt with their characters, relationships, the highest rating they're comfortable receiving, and any DNWs (Do Not Want). Others then fill their empty gift basket with short fics, and everyone gets to open their presents when the collection is revealed on January 6th.

You are not expected to write a gift for someone else if you sign up, but you're of course welcome to do so. This fest is for everyone who would like to receive a gift fic, but can't participate in exchanges for whatever reason. This event is for everyone who wants to read Hitman fanfiction and would like to receive a little gift fic. It's also for everyone who wants to write Hitman fanfiction and enjoys writing little treats with no required reciprocation.

Requests

How many requests can I add?

You can place one request under this tree. The writer(s) who choose(s) to write a ficlet for you can pick

If you’d like to suggest a specific scenario, add it to your request’s description. Try to find the right balance between an interesting idea that gives authors something to work with and a too restrictive request. You can also specify if you'd like to receive cute fluff, for example, or which characters you'd like in your fic.

You may add up to four fandoms (minimum: one) to your request. The fandoms to choose from are the Hitman video games and the other canon mediums, namely the two tie-in novels "Enemy Within" and "Damnation", and the comic book series "Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman".

Characters and Ships

You can add the characters and ships you'd like to see to the optional details of your request. When asking for relationships between characters, please make sure to use A/B for romantic or sexual interactions (including queerplatonic) and A & B for platonic or familial interactions to avoid misunderstandings.

Rating

Please pick the highest rating you're comfortable receiving. Ratings lower than the one you picked are implied; if you chose Mature, you may also receive a fic that was rated General Audiences or Teen & Up.

If you're a minor, please don't request fics that were rated Mature or Explicit. Please don't add to your request or your letter that you're a minor, we're going by basic internet safety rules here.

Fics with a higher rating than the one you chose will not be revealed until the issue is resolved.

DNW and Letters

You also have the option to add a link to a letter. These can be very useful to give your writer ideas for possible gifts. It can also be invaluable for telling them what you do not want at all.

If you have anything you Do Not Want (DNW), it must be in the request directly to be enforceable. Authors should respect the Do Not Want list; however, the requester should not abuse it to try and force the author into a corner. Do Not Wants that appear only in an external letter will not be enforced.

Please word your DNWs neutrally, and please don't explain why you don't want to see it in your gift.

Am I guaranteed a gift?

No, this is a gifting fest, not a gift exchange. Gifts are not guaranteed, but we can work together to make sure everyone who puts a request under the tree receives a gift.

Can I stay anonymous?

You can add your request anonymously, and you can choose to stay anonymous. In that case, the fic(s) written for you will not be gifted to you, but only be a prompt fill in response to your request.

Required Commenting

If you received a gift fic, even if you also wrote a fic for someone else, please try to leave a positive comment on your gift before creator reveals.

Giving kudos and sharing the gift you received on social media or to your blog, and adding it to your rec list/public bookmarks is also encouraged, but not a requirement.

If you can't comment during the anonymous period, please do so as soon as possible after creator reveals.

Participants who did not comment on their received gift fic will not be able to participate in future gifting fests or prompt fests until they caught up with any missing comments.

Prompt Fills

Minimum Requirements

Since this is a gifting fest and a busy time for everyone, the minimum requirements are intentionally low: 100 words, which is a drabble. If you want to write more, you absolutely can! There is no maximum wordcount.

Prompt fills need to honour the requester's DNW (Do Not Want) and the maximum rating they chose. Works need to be newly published for this exchange and created by you in good faith. AI-generated works are not welcome.

Posting

In order to post, go to your AO3 claims page and click the "fill" button on your claimed prompt. That will take you to a new-works form with the prompt already tickied. If the request you picked was not anonymous (or is not anonymous anymore by January 6th), please gift your work to the person whose request you picked. You might need to add the username yourself.

Deadline

RULES

This blog, while 18+ due to all themes associated with the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss franchise, is completely NSFW-free. I am willing to write threads that mention NSFW topics in detail, but I will not roleplay the act itself.

I am not selective at all! My only rules about who I interact with are that they cannot be minors (less than 18 years old) and that they need to give me something to work with in threads. You can write as many paragraphs as you want, but if you don’t give me something substantial to keep writing with, I cannot continue writing with you.

BACKSTORY: At 13 years old, a Hellhound murdered his parents in front of him. That same Hellhound blinded him in his right eye, broke his left horn off, and scarred him all over his body. He spent a year in the hospital, having his wounds treated, learning to see with only one eye, and adjusting to having only one horn. For 3 years after that, he bounced around from orphanage to orphanage before escaping a year before becoming an adult. He tattooed the left side of his face, replaced his left horn with a prosthetic, and dyed half of his hair black. He made a name for himself as a freelance pole dancer and taught himself to use several different weapons. After surviving for several years comfortably, his luck ran out during the Extermination of 2023. He was blinded in his other eye during the process of protecting another demon from an Exorcist, and while he did manage to kill the Exorcist, he is now homeless and struggling with his new predicament.

Is Jaehaera meant to be nonverbal in this fic?

Yes, that's pretty much correct! It's not 100% of the time, but the VAST majority of the time, Jaehaera prefers to communicate nonverbally. This isn't something that the fic will treat as a problem that needs to be fixed, or as a shortcoming; it's just how she is and she'll remain that way even as she grows older.

We've seen hints of this even before this chapter. If you pay attention, Jaehaera has never spoken in this fic, aside from one line to Helaena about a dream. Instead, she communicates nonverbally. In Chapter 15, when Aegon asks her a question, she answers it by closing the book and showing it to him. In Chapter 20, when the guards enter and she doesn't want to be taken from her father, she communicates this by cuddling closer to him and watching them warily. And, obviously, in Chapter 21 we've seen this far more explicitly in how she interacts with and responds to Aemond.

Most of Jaehaera's dialogue in this fic will directly relate to her dreams, and will only be spoken in the presence of a select few people. Primarily, this includes other dreamers (Helaena, Aemond) and her twin (Jaehaerys), but the list will grow to include some others she's fond of (both Aegons, Daemon). There may be a couple of instances where she speaks words that aren't dream-related, but they'll be few and far between.

Why did I choose to write her this way, you might ask? In Fire and Blood, Jaehaera is coded to be fairly similar (mentally speaking) to her mother. Since House of the Dragon has added in a lot of clues to point to Helaena being autistic, I figured Jaehaera was likely also autistic. I didn't want her autism to present in exactly the same way as Helaena's because that felt reductive, and a decent percentage of people with autism are largely or entirely nonverbal, hence the inclusion.

Now, I absolutely do not want to play into the savant trope by saying that all dreamers have to have autism, or vice versa. So this fic won't present a one-to-one-correlation between dreaming and autism. Aemond is a dreamer, but is obviously not autistic. And I'm leaning towards implementing an autistic minor character who isn't a dreamer in the future, just to hammer this home.

Lastly, I am always, always learning! If anyone has any tips about writing autistic characters (verbal or nonverbal) please do shoot them my way! Every additional bit of info helps. I do have a bit of personal experience because my younger brother is autistic, but obviously that's only one data point and can't possibly represent the entire range of autistic experiences :)

About the Muse

Lucifer still stays at the hotel to help his daughter and to rebuild his relationship with her.

He’s trying to get out of his depression, and work to rebuild his kingdom again due to his long absence.

Lucifer is the angel of creation, as such, he will not be fixated on building ducks. He likes to build other gadgets and contraptions—even if sometimes they don’t go very well. He has different projects in place that he wants to build around the city. Charlie’s inspiration to redeem sinners had rekindled his drive not only for his creativity, but to make Pentagram City a better place to live and to be a source of inspiration for others.

Lucifer is completely divorced from Lilith. He does not wear the wedding ring. Their marriage had been falling apart way before the 7 year absence. He’s going to be very wary of her if she comes around. They can still be on friendly terms but there will not be anything in the romantic sense.

As an angel, Lucifer is intersex. He can become pregnant or impregnate others (if they have the right parts). He goes through heats.

He considers the Sins like brothers and sisters, but he wouldn’t say he’s particularly close to them. A lot of the things they do he finds questionable.

☾༓ I write for the Bleach fandom exclusively for now. I will make a new posts and update this one if that changes. I am very new to writing and publically releasing my fan fiction, so please be kind.

☾༓ I will do requests if/when I feel up to it. I unfortunately struggle with a laundry list of health challenges, so I can't promise a consistent update schedule or super specific time frame to fulfill requests. I know that's annoying, but I have to put my well-being and that of my family first. I will do my best, but would rather take a little longer to finish something than rush and sacrifice quality.

☾༓ I have the right to refuse requests for any reason. If a request is hateful or entitled, I'm going to refuse it. (Hell, I might write the opposite just to make a point!) The usual warnings apply: MDNI. Minors and ageless blogs will be blocked.

☾༓ I will not write out explicit content involving minors or non-con. Period. I will not write requests for non- or dub-con or degredation kinks. (At most, there may be references to and discussion of the effects of these things, but not the actual events.) No M-preg. I don't write for certain kinks: scat, watersports, necrophilia or beastiality, diaper/adult baby, loli/shouta, or incest of any kind. This list might grow as needed. MIND MY TAGS!

☾༓ When I write char x reader, my default if to write f!reader, specifically AFAB because that is my lived experience, but I will write gn!reader upon request. I’m willing to try my hand at m!reader, as well. I'm also willing to try writing reader with certain characteristics if it's for an request (i.e. specific body proportions or profession). I don’t write characters or reader as trans. There are other writers that can do that much more justice than I can.

☾༓ I don’t shy away from content that can get very dark and graphic (physically, sexually and psychologically). Again, MIND THE TAGS!! I try to tag very thoroughly. If I miss a tag, please kindly bring it to my attention! Make use of the tag blocking function for your own peace of mind. If I tag something Dead Dove Do Not Eat, I mean it. If I have tagged it, do NOT come at me if you decide to read it anyway. You are responsible for what you choose to interact with!

☾༓ I love my OCs and may occasionally post stories with them in it here. When I write for an OC, rest assured that I have spent hours obsessing over said OC, developing a back story and putting my heart into making them as meaningful and well-written as possible. I will tag for people that want to skip content with OC ships. I am also fond of crack elements in fics, but I am a crack treated seriously type of girl in most cases unless it's labeled as general silliness.
