This is gonna be a long post I’ve been off, doing so many sketches of my and echolatons ocs - who we eneded up shipping, naturally :’D I wanted to write compile how it happened, for future me

so this is them:

Payak (they/them), a lawyer student anadi and Crimson (he/him), their new roommate half-orc. I won’t include all the art, but there is a lot.

This was the first time I thought “payak might have a crush on crimson”

Unleash the comic aera (I get better I promise)

They are dnd characters and I actually play payak in a game. Their best friend died there and I made it canon in our modern au. Crimson took very good care of payak.

Look, they are getting better

Of course, first reaction was denial. Payak knows how hard crimson had it with people before and they don’t want to ruin anything.

Too bad that crimson felt the same about the “don’t ruin anything” part. (a panel is missing here, cuz echo drew that, to the lyrcs of “dont you dare”, so you can imagine)

There is hope (again, echo drew one after this, crimson waking up to payak turned to him and smiling while he has a gay panic moment :D )

Confession! Don’t worry, payak did go after him and confessed back. Now they are toghether ^^ I’ll drop some wholesome sketches too

As of now, echo hasn’t seen this one but things have progressed I’d say

And thats it for now ^^ I love these two and I also love echo, my little muchkin who I have so much fun talking with and spend hours on vc, talking about these two or anything else. Thank you for being my friend <3

I had a two week holiday this year and they were instantly slurped up. it went so fast!#there was this big football thing the week before my holiday - basically teams of teens come from all around the world to play etc.#I heard a girl tell her teammates that 'I'd love to travel on this bus every morning; happy people all around you; just add some music...'#she was also very excited when the bridge opened. the 'happy people' around her sighed bitterly and leaned back for a ten minute wait.#it is thankfully over now. the bus home is no longer stuffed full of football teams. but it's a fun experience for the players etc etc etc #well. in other thrilling news I went to spy on our sister shops during my time off. to see what they do differently. maybe steal some ideas #one store was like an instagram post with fancy teacups and stylish outfits. who knew a second-hand store could be so boring.#the other was like a man-cave with furniture and a passively-aggressive note by the toys stating that 'if u break it u pay. idiot. tnx<3'.#the man-cave was my favourite :)#rant over now! take care and bye etc!

#Better drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #lan wangji #digital art #This was a style experimentation doodle that took on a life of its own.#In a way it is a great example of 'beautiful failure'. The original goal was to try a pure black and white contrast piece.#Which I very much failed at doing. Not quite ready for that! However what this turned into is something I like a lot!#Different but in a way that really pushed me as an artist. A little less simple; a little more proportional.#I was also recently thinking about LWJ's grieving that we only catch glimpses of.#LWJ grieved his first love for 13 years. His love that was never reciprocated.#He chose to dedicate his heart to that mourning and most painfully of all - he did so knowing there was no end to that grief.#Wei Wuxian comes back to life in MDZS but that is an exception. Not the expectation.#He was dead. Not missing. Not 'maybe in hiding'. He was dead and his spirit unreachable.#Jiang Cheng went forwards with denial but LWJ takes that grief on. He copes by continuing to carry the weight with him.#Let me be clear. Neither are healthy approaches. It is a way to cope but it does not mean that is healing or healthy.#Grief is loved transformed but it is also about endurance and letting go. Grief can change you. You can also change your grief.#It isn't a good or evil thing to experience. It is just an experience.

#the angst potential is so juicy #I understand why it might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like the idea of them being so 'toxic' for each other (after the portal #incident. if they met before I think they'd be pretty healthy and wholesome)#like. I have a billion thoughts on the more side-ish characters in gravity falls because. theyre all sort of connected and i think thats really fun to explore. like (mostly) everyone has had their memory erased, everyone experienced weirdmageddon together, and theres just so many points where they cross paths narratively. for paz and gideon i like giving them a good ending and (in at least my idea) figuring out how they actually want to live.

i have thoughts so ill probably make comics or more fleshed out things later .. we will see what brainrot takes hold of me next

Weird folks: Vent art of any form is good and all but it should ONLY be between you and your therapist. Don’t share that stuff online or publish it!!!

Me, an artist/writer: *goes to therapy, talks about my trauma and mental health and how sometimes it’s hard to talk about it with others*

Therapist: Have you thought about using your art and writing to help you work through these things and share them with others?

#writing #I don’t know what to tell you man #when you go to therapy—at least in my experience—your therapist will tell you to share your art with others #obviously tagging and whatnot is important #but sharing vent works is healthy #you don’t have to always share it but it can be a very good thing #my therapist regularly asks me about my art/writing #I even brought this up to her—the fact that I see people claiming you should never post vent works #and she was BAFFLED #also like… man if I didn’t post vent fics #most of my fics would not exist
