Head Canon: Sleeping and School (Irondad)

(This is based on meeeeeeee right now. I���m at the dentist, so I have free time, but yeah here we goooo)

•So Peter hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep recently.

•Since he has a new schedule at school, he has almost no time to himself, as he has to wake up at 7 am to get to school, ending at 3 pm and Dethlecon (I’m not sure how to spell that so :P) Practice goes anywhere from 5-8 considering they got into the state finals.

•Plus he has the Internship every Wensday, when he doesn’t have practice, which can last a long time. Peter can, of course, ask to go home anytime he wants (considering Tony has a soft spot for him), but he’s too shy to do that.

•The only time he can seem to get time off is on weekends, but even then he has homework and chores to do.

•He finds himself starting to give up things he loved previously to get in time for Spider-Man and free time, like band and building things out of spare parts and scraps.

•So in order to try and get some time to himself, he starts cutting his sleep time, making him more and more tired as the weeks go on.

•Finally he gets to his breaking point, having had only 4 hours of sleep, not even accounting for his anxiety keeping him up.

•He collapses in the lab, startling Tony as he turns to see his kid just. Sleeping on the floor. He immediately freaks out, rushing Peter to the Medbay and yelling for Bruce. Not that he’s worried or anything though.

•Bruce runs tests and says that Peter is just really tired for some reason. Tony asks FRIDAY to check Karen’s suit logs for Peters sleeping patterns the past few weeks. It comes up with mostly 4 hours of sleep on weekends, and 6 on Weekends. Sometimes, even 2 hours of sleep on weekdays.

•Peter has made codes in Karen to not alert Tony of the new patterns, and told Karen to stop worrying and that he was fine. Of course, this all led to the crash, plus the fact that he wasn’t eating as much to increase time to himself.

•Tony doesn’t understand why he’s doing this at first. He checks the school records and finds the new schedule, along with the practice times.

•Tony sighs upon seeing this, because of course Peter would keep quiet about it. He scolds himself for not seeing it before.

•When Peter wakes up, at first he’s not sure where he is. His brain was working slowly, his eyes drooping. When he finds out how long he slept, Peter scolds himself, as there’s homework he needs to get done and a project he’s been working hard on.

•Tony comes in and give Peter a long lecture about health and telling him things because he cares and wants to help, but Peter is only half listening, considering he’s half asleep. Tony’s totally not rambling because he’s worried, whatever would make you think that?

•Eventually Tony notices this and says, “You know what? We’ll talk later. For now, Spiderbaby, go to bed.”

•Peter does gladly, and ends up being on house arrest for a week by Tony to “learn about a good sleep schedule.”

•Eventually Peter tells him why he did it, and his worries that he’s giving up things he loves for something he can’t control.

•Tony consoles him through it, helping him make a schedule that lets him do what he loves while doing the things he needs to do.

•Peter implements the new schedule and all ends up well for the both of them.

(And that’s the end of that. Hope that this ends well for me, cause I’m running on not a lot of sleep and anxiety, plus my stomach hurts, so please send help)

Tangled in Webs Chapter 1 ~ The Tower

A/N: Hey guys guess who’s back with some movie AU shiz.....its me so i was listening to Disney song as you do and i really wanted to watch tangled because the idea fairy came and i watched it and got an idea for this fic so lets get to good bit 

Summary: so as the title suggests its a Tangled AU where you as the reader are Flynn Rider until you reveal your true name as Y/N Y/L/N but you've seen Tangled right? and peter of course is Rapunzel but his name is peter i did change the hair bit a lot but not drastically but here we go 

Pairings : Peter Parker x Reader, IronDad and Spidyson, 

“This is the story of how i died” Y/N began as the children in the orphanage gathered around her some giving confusing looks while the matrons of the orphanage gave questionable looks “but don’t worry this is actually a very fun story and the truth is its not even mine,” she gave a nervous laugh to ease the tension “the story is actually about a boy named Peter, and it starts with the sun, know once upon a time a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens and from this small drop of sun grew a beautiful flower but an evil man found this flower first-”

“boring when are we gonna get the good stuff” one boy whined but Y/N just smiled “patients kid im getting there” she laughed 

“where was i? oh yes so thousands of years pass and a grand kingdom rose and is ruled by the wonderful king Anthony Stark and his Queen who was about to have a baby” Y/N paused to let the awws and blechs die down from he children “but the queen became sick, really sick, and she was running out of time so that’s when people start to look for a miracle, or in this case a magic golden flower. ah know this is how the evil woman becomes important, you see the old croon was non other than mother Gothal who found the flower first but instead of sharing the healing gift she kept it all for herself” a few gasps and boos erupted from the younger boys and girls  

“you see Mother Gothal used the flower to keep herself healthy and young for hundreds of years  and all she had to do was sing a special song, can you all remember the words?” Y/N asked a wave of excited nods came from the girls whilst a few hesitant ones from the boys  

“okay all together, Flower Gleam and Glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what was mine... but you guys get the jist she sang to it and it made her young, creepy right!” more nods came from the children as they huddled in closer to Y/N

 “so the guards found the magic flower that healed the queen and not long after they had a healthy baby boy, but the queen didnt make it” Y/N sighed as a few older girls wiped a few louse tears form their eyes ”

“But the prince was born with a head full of golden hair, and ill give you newbies to the story a hint that was Prince Peter. so to celebrate his birth the king set off a flying lantern into the sky, and for that one moment everything was perfect, and then that moment ended, Gothal broke into the castle stole the prince and just like that, they were Gone!” she exclaimed watching the younger girls and boys turn to each other whispering chorus of “oh nos” and “not Peter”

“The kingdom searched but could not find the prince, for deep inside the forest in a hidden tower Gothal raised the child as her own. Gothal had found her new magic flower but this time she was determined to keep it hidden, but the wall of that tower could not hide everything because each year on his birthday the king set of thousands of lanterns in the sky in hope that one day their lost prince would return......”

A few years before in a tower....

The lizard scurried across the windowsill hiding behind a plant pot as the young boy ran after it “HA” the boy exclaimed as he pulled the windows open “hummm well i guess MJ isnt hiding out here” he mocked as the lizard chuckled, with a swift motion MJ didn't register the sound of Peters web shooter as it stuck to her side pulling her up from behind the plants “that is 22 to me, how about 23 out of 45″ MJ just pulled a face “okay, well what do you want to do?” he asked the Chameleon and with a happy squeak she used her tale to point to the outside of the tower “ err yeah you see i like it in here” he guested to the inside of the tower “and so do you” MJ just stuck her tongue out in reply “oh come on MJ its not so bad in there” he chuckled rolling back into the tower.

“you see we have a hole list of things to do today and its what?” peter turned to the clock on the wall “oh shoot its already 7:00 AM  we have so much to do MJ come on we have to make a start on the chores” peter smiled as he pulled his Blond shoulder length hair into a sort of crazy bun grabbing a broom to sweep the floors.

by 7:15 he managed to sweep, polish and wax the entire tower as well as start the laundry, so peter decided to bust out his paints as he found a new spot on his wall “hey MJ are you excited for tomorrow night when the light appear, gosh i wonder what its like out their, hey that’s it i might ask mother if she will let me go!”

Flynn leaned against the pillar on top of the castle roof soaking in her surrounding of the busy kingdom below “oh i could get used to a view like this” she sighed leaning ever so slightly over the edge “Hey Rider come on!” a gruff voice behind her spoke “hold on... Yup i’m used to it! guys, i want a castle” she proclaimed to the two large brutes behind her “if you do this job you can buy your own castle” the other spat pulling Flynn by the back of her collar dropping her down the hatch into the throne room.

The throne was huge its high ceiling made it difficult not get spotted but the 3 thief's made it work, as Flynn was lowered down next to the crown she took a moment to admire to beautiful architecture of the castle its self. hanging from the sides of the walls where beautiful light blue banners supporting the symbol of what the King called the Arc Reactor it was the tell tale sign of Kingdom same went for the ceiling each square panel had the symbol on it, Flynn turned her attention to the crown sat upon the velvet cushion, with a swift motion she put the crown in her satchle .

ACHOOO! 

“ugh hey-fever?” Flynn asked 

“yeah” the guard replied turning to Rider “wait!!!” he shouts after her after he realized she snuck in and stole the crown.

“can’t you picture me in a castle of my own boys?” flynn asked as they ran down the bridge into the forest “because i certainly can! and all the things we seen and its only 8 in the morning Gentlemen this is a very big day” she exclaimed as the two ginger brutes exchanged devious looks.

Mother Gothal walked towards the large tower, she was slower than normal as her latest trip took its toll on her, like she had to worry. As she approached the tall structure she swallowed taking in a deep breath “OH Peter! would you be a prince and help your mother up” 

In the tower peter packed up his paints and made sure MJ was hidden in his new drawing “this is it MJ” he whispererd 

“peter? im not getting any younger down here” Gothal whined

“coming mother” Peter answered as he dropped the rope down from the window in his tower hoisting Mother Gothal up. “hi, Welcome home Mother” he huffed with exhaustion “oh peter, how you manage to do that everyday, single, day without fail it looks absolutely exhausting” she spoke pouting her lips,    caressing his cheek with her hand.

“oh its nothing” 

“well i don’t know why it takes so long” she forced a smile booping his nose along with every word she spoke, “oh Darling i’m just teasing” Gothal cackled. “Alright” Peter laughed along with mother Gothal as she walked towards the mirror assessing her worn features “so Mother as you know tomorrow is a very spe-”

“peter look into the mirror” she interrupted pulling Peter next to her “do you know what i see, i see a strong, confident, beautiful young person” peter let a bashful smile grace his face “oh look and your here to” peters face dropped as Gothal let out another cackle “i’m just teasing don’t take everything so seriously” she finished as she continued to admire herself in the mirror pulling at her face, “okay so mother as i was saying tomorrow is-”

“Peter, Mother is feeling a little run down, Would you sing for me dear? and then we will talk”

“oh of course mother” he beamed rushing to grab the chairs and hair brush, he lightly pushed Gothal onto her chair as he sat in front of her pulling his hair out of the bun. Peter took a deep breath and sang the song as fast as humanly possible, to Gothal’s protests she brushed his glowing hair and with a rushed Poof Gothal look about 10 years younger!  

“Peter!”

“so, Mother earlier i was trying to tell you that tomorrow is a pretty big day and you didn't really respond so im just going to tell you, its MY BIRTHDAY!” he beamed hugging her arm with excitement “tadaaa!” But Gothal just peeled the boy fro her her arm “nononono, can’t be i distinctly remember your birthday was last year” she smiled 

“well thats the funny thing about birthdays, they are kind of an annual thing” he sighed “mother im turning 18 and i wanted to ask” he stopped “Well what i really want for this birthday, actually what i have wanted for quite a few birthdays” he mumbled pulling at his hair 

“okay okay Peter please stop with the mumbling, you know how i feel about the mumbling the Blah blah Blah its very annoying, but i’m just teasing i love you so much darling ” she crooned, Peter lost all confidence in himself until he hured the pushing squeals from MJ pushing him to ask “Gah i want to see the floating lights!” Peters sudden outburst seemed to quite the entire world for a few moments but Gothal managed to compose herself “the what?”

“oh well you see i hoping you would take me to see the floating lights” he got up from where he sat and pulled the curtain to show his new masterpiece to his mothe who replied “you mean the stars” 

“but that’s the thing i have charted the stars” he used his web shooter to pull open a small hatch in the ceiling to reveal his star chart  “and they’re always constant but these” he gestured to the lantern painting “ they only appear on my birthday, Only on my birthday, and i can’t help but feel like they’re meant for me, i need to see them mother and just from my window, in person, i have to know what they are” he pleaded.

“You want to go outside” Gothal closed the hatch to the window “why Peter, look at you as fragile as a flower, and you know why we keep you in this tower?”

“I know but-” he tried to interrupt but Gothal was to quick 

“that’s right, to keep you safe and sound dear” she ran her finger through Peters hair “ i guess i always new this day was coming” she sighed “ you wanted to leave the nest, soon-”

“But-” she place a finger on his lips to silence him

“But not yet, trust me, mother knows best. listen to me its a scary world out there and something will go wrong, with roughians , thugs, poison ivy, cannibals and the plague”

 “no!”

 “yes and not to forget people with pointy teeth” Peter flopped to the floor in fright at the imagery his mother was painting “so you see peter save the drama mother knows best and look at you, you wont survive on your own, sloppy, under dressed, immature, clumsy, you see they will eat you up alive, and believe me your getting kinda chubby” Gothal mocked as she blew out the candles Peter let out a scream “Peter?” she held up a candle to illuminate herself as a pillar of safety “yes Mother?” Peter replied as he hugged Gothal her tone became dark and forceful as she help up peters face to meet hers “Dont ever ask Leave this tower again” Peter dropped his head in defeat “yes Mother” was all he could muster.  

“Oh i love you so much dear”

“i love you more” Gothal pulled peter’s head down as she kissed his hair “i love you most” she smiled grabbing her cloak she opend the windows once more as peter helped her down the tower “tatar, ill see you in a bit my flower”

“and ill be right here" he sighed hoisting the rope back inside and leaning against the windowsill in defeat.
