How To Survive A Bewear Attack

First, make peace with the fact that you could die. Pray to whatever legendary you believe in, and hope you get to the afterlife.

Anyways, actually, how to survive a Bewear attack if you don't have any battling pokemon with you.

First off: they're not like Pangoro. Standing your ground won't work. It'll just make you an easy target. DON'T TRY TO INTIMIDATE THEM. Bewear don't often attack anything they deem weaker than them, so make yourself look as least threatening as possible. Get on the ground, play dead, and cover your head and neck. They might come and paw at you, but they most likely won't attack you and move on. Make sure you know it's gone before you get back up again, bcuz they will come back if they see/hear you get up.

A bewear will show that it's about to attack by waving its arm in the air. IT IS NOT AN INVITATION TO COME OVER! This is them saying, "I'M GONNA FUCKING SNAP YOUR BONES IF YOU GET TOO CLOSE." This is a point where you run. But if they start chasing you, at that point, you just gotta run and hide. Bewear are very fast, and once they see you as a threat, they will try to kill you. This is why I said make peace with the fact that you could die. The best way to prveent this even happening is to put on repellent, and avoid forests with Bewear; they often have warning signs.

Notice anything about this Bewear? Its arms are not waving, and it is in a relaxed position, with a paw over its mouth. This Bewear is just curious, and is not in attack mode. If a wild Bewear does this, you want to get on the ground and cover your head and neck.

This Beware has raised arms and is standing taller to make itself look bigger. This Bewear wants to murder you, and is about to attack if you don't leave soon. Remeber: when this happens, run as fast as you can away from the beware. If you stand your ground, they will attack you.

Hope this helped! I grew up in the Wild Area in Galar, and this was literally the only pokemon that my mom didn't want me to come into contact with. I came into contact with a bewear once when I got lost (my mom sent her Dragapult, Golurk, and Sigilyph with me she didn't let a 6 year old into the forest without any protection. I just ran away from them when I forced them into a game of hide and seek like the little crap I was) It was in curious mode and I did what I was told, but I also silently cried when that happened and I genuinely thought I was gonna die, lmao. It poked me for a bit before walking away, and then I ran home immediately, and I used repellent for the first time in my life the day after that.

i think one reason some lgbt people are very intense with their identities online is because they don't get to express themselves in a sufficient way irl or at all due to lgbtphobic environment, lack of queer friends, self-repression, guilt, etc etc. so for that reason if you wanna make being gay a personality on your blog then idgaf go ahead the world is cruel enough to you, this is your space and you can do whatever you want

you can literally know all the right things to say and still be a very bigoted person and i take issue with the idea that posting about social issues constitutes activism because reblogging a post especially while doing zero fact checking doesn’t take effort, parroting rhetoric from marginalized people and often speaking over them in the process doesn’t take effort, advocating for social justice is an action, not an identity. ie, almost every horrible man i’ve met has called himself a feminist and then turned around and treated women like their value depends on their fuckability and also mainstream choice feminism has made it even easier for abusive and manipulative men to call themselves feminist because if feminism is just about women getting to choose to do whatever they want, what if some women choose to be sexual objects to them? to be objectified, degraded, assaulted, you fill in the blanks … ? what if simply sleeping with a man as a woman — or not even doing that, just being nice to him — means she’s made that choice?

How can you support Palestine? It’s constantly ranked as one of the worst countries for lgbt rights/safety and people who are found out face death in many instances. A man was decapitated in the street for being found gay and gay sexual relations are illegal with a penalty of jail time… Who do you think you are crusading for? The reality is if you went there with a rainbow flag walking down the street you would not be ok. Queer people flee to Israel for safety because society there as in many Islamic regions is notoriously anti-lgbt. Israel bought their land and have every right to defend themselves contrary to what the people wanting to wipe out their entire country believe

I support Palestine because every person has a right to live. Because what is happening is a genocide. It's a fact. You can argue about it to the kingdom come, but it's done by the book genocide and, since it's a fact, opinions can't change it.  

With this being said, I'd like to address two specific points you made.

You can't shame me - or anyone who is queer and supports Palestine - by talking about hate crimes against queer people or describing them. Because before that you should look at your own country and check when was the last time a hate crime happened. I bet it'll be recent. Hate crimes and homophobia are not exclusive to arabic/muslim countries. This point of view is narrow minded at best and racist at worst - either by the lack of education or lack of interest in the world.

I really am the wrong person to come to with this. I live in Russia. It's illegal to wear rainbow flags here and you will go to jail for it. Chechnya has torture camps for gay men. There's police raids in gay bars in Moscow happening regularly. Trans people are in danger of being forced to detransition. I live in the scenario above, you don't need to scare me with it out of supporting Palestine.

But my point is - I support Palestine as a queer even more as just a human, because I know what it means to live like this. Just because Palestinian queers might not be all loud and proud doesn't mean they don't exist; just because being gay is condemned and puts one's life at risk doesn't mean queers just suddenly stop existing.

And I also know - just as I have support here (my closest friends are straight women with traditional beliefs and they are very comfortable with me being gay, most people I know are not violently homophobic) Palestinian queers have their support, their communities and their people who love them and care for them. And they need our support as well. We don't get to turn our back on our fellow queers just because they happen to live in unsafe places. (and again, this kind of belief stinks of racism or of the need to broaden your worldview horizons. Believe me, the majority of queers are not white and don't live in lgbt-friendly countries)

You see, these reasons are very similar to what I've heard when Putin tried to justify the attack on Ukraine.

"Israel bought their land" is just as disgusting to me as "Ukraine didn't exist until 1991". "Israel has every right to defend themselves" is Putin's "We're defending ourselves against the collective West". Which is fucking nonsense.

And this is done by the book propaganda - and I'm not saying this because propaganda is a big word people like to throw around. I know this because I studied propaganda for my bachelor degree as a part of "changing public's opinion" course - me and my classmates were trained in this. They take some historical facts you can't deny or make an enemy out of someone (them vs us) and manipulate it to fit their rhetoric. Once you know how to recognise it you'll never not recognise it again.

Israel is not defending itself by targeting civilians and sniping children - they killed more children in these months than Russia in two years which is horrifying to me - they confirmed multiple times they want to erase Palestine from the face of the Earth. These words don't mean self-defence. It's a colonial power that really wants to show how powerful they are and how unstoppable they are. And again, I know this from the side of the colonial power. For me, people who side with Israel are the same people who side with Russia - and it makes me sick. 

Also please don’t assume that people who support Palestine want to destroy Israel, this is again, very narrow minded. Saving people from genocide by committing another genocide? This is plainly stupid. The world is not black and white, it's more complicated than just taking sides. I'll give an example: I'm queer and I know I'll be in danger if I ever come to Dagestan (close to Chechnya) - but dagestan people fund rise to send humanitarian aid to Palestine and I donate to them, because people are dying and I don't really care if people who'll help them are homophobic to me. Because it's not about me.

But there are moments in history when you need to take a stand, and I will not stand with Israel. (or Russia for that matter)

Anyway. Stand with Ukraine. Free Palestine.

I'm thinking of training my Litten to battle because he's very energetic and loves to "attack" his toys. However, my landlord has rules about the size of Pokemon tenants can have in apartments. Would it be safe to give him an Everstone so I don't have to move, or would that risk evolutionary stasis syndrome? (the Litten, not the landlord!)

litten is not a pokemon that we usually worry about needing to evolve! just make sure you do two things before going battling: 1. ask your vet to do a checkup and mention specifically that you want to battle him but prevent his evolution. you should always ask a vet before doing battling for the first time with a pokemon, and your vet can also make sure your litten is a low risk for ESS.

2. make sure your fireproofing stays up to date with how strong your litten gets. higher level pokemon need stronger fireproofing. you don't necessarily need to go for the super expensive charizard-level proofing yet, but you'll likely need to reasses as he levels up. this is especially important since litten naturally cough up fiery hair after grooming!

But I have to admit.... I am like 15% frustrated that it took this long. That us pleading and yelling about it earlier didn't impact them. That us warning them that this would happen didn't sway them. That it had to get to a point where they personally feel like they are in danger for them to start caring

I don't want to come across like I'm shaming people for getting involved now, second best time to plant a tree and whatnot, it's a good thing you're here now, please stay involved and taking care of yourselves so you're able to....... but I can't lie and say it's not disappointing, and I wish I had a better place to put that feeling

Guys I was working on my intensive Leander notes with the game open to enhance the ambience and motivate me, when I noticed that my LED lights weren't changing colours anymore. I specifically turned it on to the fade3 setting, when tf did it stop hello?? Then I realize, "wait, this is The Leander Colour™". He knows exactly what he's doing. He knows what I'm doing. He probably knows what you're doing. And your cat, too. None of us are safe.

More personal stupid shit but god is it a frightening time right now. I'm having to have talks with my mother on making sure we're as safe as possible, only speaking English to her in public and if things get worse I do all the public errands to ensure her own safety.

Its worrying for my own family and friends that I might not see them again. That I'll have to hear they or their parents have been taken. That my own mother has been taken.

Its so weird. I have to continue with class because life stops for no one but I have to worry if my mom is OK. If by the end of the week I'll see her again or I'll have to hear from a friend or her boss that they got to her.

Its being reminded that at any point and time the worst case scenario can happen. I'll continue to educate myself and others so we can be as safe as we can be, and be prepared for the worst
