A little bit of oxygen is all we need.
A little bit of mind control is what you do to me.
I'm falling hard and harder as you got my heart in your palm.
I need you in my arms.

My tarnished! - Adorra
I make her in every souls game, I first made her in dark souls 1 years ago :) In ds1 she was an Astora Noble, my lore for her was that she was albino & preferred the night! In ds3 I made her Irithyllian who (in my headcanon) had silver irises & organs. When I started ER I actually couldn't believe my eyes that they had a perfect starting race almost just for her haha. Now she is Nightfolk! Perhaps they are alternate universe versions of eachother...
I imagine she has this 🜛 tattooed on her back - the alchemic symbol for silver. Shes the strong & silent type, and enjoys cooking during the time she spends camping at grace sites. On her travels around the lands between, she collects ingredients & herbs to use.
#people were mean to me on twitter about her coz shes not feminine lol#elden ring#tarnished#elden ring oc#dark souls oc#ds1#ds2#ds3#soulsborne#fromsoft#eldensealoc

Pyrrha, firstborn of Kratos & Laufey.
Ω
A few years ago, I caved in to the self-indulgent urge to give Kratos another daughter so… here she is :) I’m so grateful @irithyllians was kind enough to help me get started on her Ragnarök era design & draw her as well- will be adding some more details soon but very happy with how it looks now!! ❣️
#i also got her into the series in the process HAHA#she has succumbed to my fungus#ANYWAY i have a lot of lore I’m working on for her but at the end of the day. she’s so self indulgent lmao#if you can spot some references to past games I love you ❣️#oc: pyrrha#gow oc#god of war oc#god of war ragnarök#god of war

My Ashen One was once caught in a bonfide shoujo triangle between a Carim maiden and her sworn knight because what are obscure lore snippets but rife with potential for entertaining drama? (Also backstories are fun to flesh out hehe) Essentially it's a knight/maiden duo who were once best friends but eventually grew to despise each other, now trapped in an oath that neither of them actually want (as described in Morne's set in DS3: "A Carim knight will dedicate an entire career to attending a single maiden, just as Morne once served one goddess alone.")
So, instead of dealing with their problems, both of them end up hardcore projecting their expectations for the other onto the naïve young Darkmoon guard of the Irithyllian ambassador. Things don't go great and they give Lia lifelong commitment issues.
Some extra doodles under the cut!
#my art#ashes to ashes#lia of the boreal valley#ashen one#dark souls#dark souls oc#I'm always unsure of what to tag this sorta stuff for#like it's technically DS3 but it's also a bunch of OCs who have been dead for centuries before the game even starts#dark souls 3#oc#original character

4 Link to a great meta you’ve read & 5 Recommend three (or more) blogs to follow
4. my friend Sol wrote a little essay on Silvergifting here and I appreciate how she portrays Sauron with human emotions. imo emotional villains are so much more interesting than just some unfeeling loveless monster. let them love! let them obsess! let them grieve!
5. I can’t express my love for the artists in this fandom enough, I’ll give a shoutout to some artists who deserve more recognition @aldanil @ilaneya @irithyllians ily

ID: A sketchy drawing of Lezian from the Stormlight Archive by irithyllians. Lezian is depicted from the waist up, standing before the viewer and looking off to the side. He has wide shoulders armored in spikey carapace. Carapace covers the top of his head and forehead, his cheeks and his nose. He has two jagged carapace horns, and his ears are pointy. His long hair and beard wrap around his chest and torso instead of clothes. His expression is amused, with his mouth smiling and showing sharp teeth. /end ID.

[sniffs the tags on a post I reblogged from you] PSIJICS? PSIJIC OC? Tell me about herrrrrr 👀
Yeah! Her name is Nialamide and she’s technically a former psijic as she split from the order in the late 2nd era due to differing opinions about the role of magic in society. She’s a conjurer (in eso she’s mechanically a petsorc) and she spends most of her time trying to wrangle Daedric artifacts
[screenshot from the elder scrolls online showing a blonde high elven woman with gold skin and bright yellow eyes. she is wearing ornate white armor with a long skirt and gold and blue accents and wielding a long gold white and blue staff. her hair is in a loose bun and she wears a small gold circlet on her forehead.]
[a sketchy digital drawing of the same character. she taps her face and looks annoyed.]
She’s been in a relationship w/ a Telvanni magister (Serjo Dirvenna Hlaru Telvanni) for over a millennia. They met when Nia snapped out of the lure of apocrypha and showed up on Dirvenna’s doorstep half dead
[the high elf from before and a much shorter dark elven woman. the dark elf has grey-blue skin, orange hair, red eyes, and lots of necklaces and earrings and rings. the women are sitting at a table drinking tea and speaking to each other as if gossiping.]
While she’s an ESO character (she’s my main/crafter/quester/trial dd) in my ~lore~ she’s not actually the vestige and was largely uninvolved with the events of ESO

Yeah, this tweet from @irithyllians was the original spark for the thought.
As far as I'm aware, balrogs are pretty consistently just a group of umaiar with a shared... flavor? Of physical form. Which would make them much more closely related to 'good' maiar other than (most interpretations of) orcs and elves.
Gandalf and the balrog were both members of the same metaphysical chorus before Arda was made. Even if Gandalf wants to argue that the balrog has become a different species, I think it's going to ring hollow.
...so does Gandalf's fight with the balrog make Gandalf a kinslayer? 🤔
