Weekly roundup: prompts
Tsukihime
Some snippets of Roa and Chaos's time together with all of Roa's rebirths, playing with the idea that they try their best to meet up each time Roa returns
Fate/Zero
Smut, i need to read about/see irisviel giving kiritsugu her strap/actual dick. can be as tender, sappy, unabashedly horny, angsty or anything else as the filler likes (+ by extension all kinks or lack thereof are up to the filler - bonus points for gentle femdom, omorashi, orgasm control and chubby/fat iri however) i just need to see this man railed by his wife please and thank you very much ❤️
FGO
Smut, incest, Everyone assumes Mash and Ritsuka are dating. But they actually see each other as siblings due to both being raised by Romani. That doesn't mean they aren't fucking
Kiyohime, struggling to deal with her madness enhancement that makes her attracted to her Master, knowing they aren't attracted back but her specific curse is forcing her to pursue them anyway, lots of angst as she wants them to have a happy life but is compelled to try and ruin it again and again.
Smut, Morgan ties up and has unprotected sex with futa!Artoria (Latoria Alter) to cuck her wife, Nightingale, when she came home. Well, that was the plan, but Morgan failed to account for Nightingale's commitment to protected, sanitary sex, and how sturdy Nightingale's gauze tape would be around her limbs. Now, she has to bear witness to Nightingale's Sex Ed demonstration, aided by her wife. (futa, failed NTR, bondage)
aggravain/lion king anyone?
Artemis and sheep Apollo go on a bender. Orion, Paris, and Aesclepius start freaking out and try to find them before the inevitable happens
Smut, The difference between drug and poison is the dose, and also how resistant to it you are. Guda is extremely resistant to poisons. Every single one of Serenity's bodily fluids is a poison. So, consider: Serenity cums in Guda so hard that Guda starts tripping balls. (Bonus points if it's accidental but also they both learn they're into it)
Smut, noncon, I think Castoria should get gang raped by five dudes at the beach who'll abuse all her holes and leave her shivering dripping with cum like a little toy to be used by the next person who'll find her (Castoria is perfectly capable of freeing herself from this situation, but she's a freak with a noncon fetish who keeps putting herself in dangerous situations to get off.)
Noncon, Two words: Mutual Noncon. Interpret that however you want.
Gudao as a very butch woman and/or Gudako as a femboy
Smut, Tentacle monster x Gudako. Triple penetration. As consensual as you want it to be. No gore or any extreme kinks. That's it.
some rude idiot (can be gudako or somebody else) learns what happens when you try and fuck around with Castoria. In a bad way. sword gramps ain’t letting them live another damn day.
Smut, Jalter wants to lose her virginity for stupid reasons. Cu is, at least, an experienced partner.
Jeanne intends to lose her virginity. Hijinks ensue as she tries to inexpertly walk the fine line between making herself available to the good choices to do that with while making sure the bad choices don’t even find out.
I just wanna remind everyone that Ereshkigal in her mythology is canonically a chaser. Do with this whatever you want, better yet if its eresh thirsting over girl cock
Due to weird magic shit, Xiang Yu wakes up one day to find that he is in his PHH form. Yu is ecstatic by this only to realize everyone else can now see him as he was. And they completely understand Yu's taste. (Not meant to be NTR I just like putting Yu in situations)
Rasputin holds a contest to see who can eat the hottest mapo tofu in the world, and whoever wins gets… their heart ripped out as a reward for winning.
In a second stretched out as long as it can go, in her final moments, staring down Chaos- Miyamoto Musashi has a conversation with The Void itself. (That means Void Shiki.) (Prompt filler's call if the conversation turns smutty.)
NTR, Gilgamesh is finally summoned to chaldea and excited to meet enkidu again, only to find out that enkidu's been fucking just about every attractive servant here, and now sadly gil just can't measure up anymore :) (you could take this in a sfw direction where enkidu has found a sparring partner whos way more fun to fight against)
Mash and Gudako get trapped in a room that they can only escape by having sex, the entire thing orchestrated by someone (writer's choice who) to get the two of them to finally confess and have sex with wait why are they already out. What do you mean you had sex already. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'VE BEEN FUCKING FOR MONTHS HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT YOU WERE
Smut, Ushi sex but halfway through she breaks down as she remembers her brother and what he did. Consoling begins
Smut, Ritsuka calls Habetrot cocksleeve, onahole, and other similar titles, and Habetrot finds she doesn’t hate it
You know those moments where Ritsuka’s servants randomly decide to try and sabotage their attempts to find the grail and attacks them? One of those moments but Ritsuka just flat out uses a command seal to make them stop instead of fighting them.
Emiya at all costs is trying to keep Muramasa away from the Illyaverse girls. Muramasa thinks it's because Emiya see him as some type of creep and is trying to protect the girls and goes against it, little did he know, Emiya was trying to protect him from those girls, Muramasa was never the same after he didn't follow that advice
Castoria gets cancer (dont ask, based on a twitter meme) can be played for giggles where Castoria overreacts or everyone hangs on BB because she most likely did it (or not), or could be dramatic where there’s no cure and Castoria will end up dying when she gets killed
To contrast Tamamo and Nero rivalry Koyanskaya and Draco actually are very good friends, best friends even, gal pals, two bosom buddies, some would even call them.... roommates
You know those dating gameshows where people try to win over other contestants? "Who Will Win the Hand of Mash Kyrielight", starring Ritsuka, Morgan, Boggart, Beryl, and if we're padding out non-LB6 participants, then Ophelia and Fionn, to be funny. Morgan keeps ordering Boggart to forfeit while he complains that he was already rebelling against her, people keep killing Beryl only for him to walk back in without commenting on the dead body next to his booth until they stack up high enough for him to lounge in them like a meat beanbag, Ritsuka doesn't actually mind winning or losing so long as they get to hang out with Mash, so they're just playing everyone against each other like a child of divorce. Ophelia has no idea why she's here but she's mysteriously fired up about getting to take Mash out for tea if she wins, and Fionn really really finds the mental health of his competition concerning. Morgan gets exactly one (1) point too many and someone kicks down the door declaring Morgan is too jack and shit to ever deserve Mash. It's Aesc, specifically here to cockblock her future self. Fou's the judge and that's the most afraid several people here have ever been of Primate Murder.
Any
We've had too many wholesome prompts recently. Here's a challenge: write me the most problematic, horrifying, gut-churning fic you physically can. Whether your limit lays in siblings kissing or in hardcore snuff noncon mindbreak, I welcome it all, just give me something fucked up please.
Crossover
I just learned that Zacian (the pokemon legendary of sword and shield) is based on both the Lady of the Lake and Morgan le Fay, my queen if Britain can't be yours then conquer Galar.

Continuation of this ask
Bedivere x Arturia - Ship it
What made you ship it?
TBH I was one of those few people who shipped it based on that like 2 second scene at the end of FSN. The Camelot Singularity just reinforced it. A lot came from the original Arthurian legend as well. Bedivere is similarly insanely loyal as he is in the game, and like in Fate lore, he’s been with Arthur longer than most.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
He journeyed so far for so long just to see her smile OH MY GOD BRB IM SOBBING HOLY CRAP CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE—
I’m a sucker for intensely loyal knights and I will always be. ALWAYS.
THE ANGST POTENTIALLLLLL but also THE FLUFF POTENTIALLLL
This man loved his king so bloody intensely. So strongly that his desire to see her survived the test of time. To be loved so much, so unconditionally for a thousand and a half years? Gods, that’s just too much, man. ;-;
And I absolutely adore how much it means to him to remain her knight, even if he tends to be insecure about the limb that he lacks, and how he believes he is nothing special in comparison with everyone else. I love that Arturia recognizes his strength and his worth, even if he himself can’t see it.
THE ENTIRE CONFRONTATION IN THE THRONE ROOM LET ME TELL YOU I WAS CRYING SOOOOO HARD THROUGHOUT THAT IK NIT EVEN KIDDING
THIS, the MINDBREAK Arturia goes through when she tries to remember
Tumblr media
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I think that THIS SHIP NEEDS MORE LOVE AND I REALLY OUGHT TO CONTRIBUTE
All the other answers below cut!
Irisviel x Arturia - Ship It
What made you ship it?
I think I was bound to the moment I watched Fate Zero. When I was younger it was overshadowed by the feels Diarturia brought and not to mention Kiritsugu and Iri but this ship is damn good on its own.
What sold it though, is the argument she and Kiritsugu have in Episode 16, right after the last Saber and Lancer fight. Irisviel, who we all know loves her husband so much, forced Kiritsugu to answer Saber. That’s just how important Arturia was to her.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
I think they both found in each other something they themselves lack. It’s actually kind of funny. Arturia is human, and yet she’s so heavily consumed by her ideals that she doesn’t act like one. Irisviel, on the other hand, is not human, and yet everything that she does and wants to do is exactly that.
Throughout the anime, Being with Iri puts Saber into such mundane, ordinary situations that it teaches her to live. The suits, the escorting, being a passenger instead of a driver, appreciating the water by the seashore, etc. It's like the woman wants to leave her with some appreciation for the world, especially when she herself doesn’t have all that much time left.
On Irisviel’s part, I think she found in Saber the companionship she would have wanted from Kiritsugu during the last few days she remained on the Earth. Arturia had been the perfect knight in shining armor, taking Irisviel around to see the world as much as they could amidst a war. If they’d just had more time, I have no doubt Arturia would have taken Irisviel even more places, you know?
It makes me sad :( but in a good way.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I’m pretty sure Irisviel would wear the pants in this relationship ya know what I mean? Hahaha
Much as I love this ship, I think that it becomes all the more valuable because of how it ended. To each other, they were this brief, fleeting feeling of happiness. A love that was so short and yet so strong.
Shirou x Arturia - Don't Ship it
Hooooooo boi. Hear me out, mkay ? But this is just my personal opinion so pls no hate
Why don't you ship it?
I’m gonna start out by saying I don’t think I need to, tbh. Hahaha there’s enough content for this ship being fed to us, so my liking it or not is immaterial. But the reason is well...I watched FSN and Shirou x Saber was...not the best thing about it (the best thing about it was the soundtrack omg iconic) Shirou comes off as a bit of a misogynist, and kind of immature, and the whole time it’s like he doesn’t really listen to Arturia at all. Plus, it’s kind of like he just likes her looks at times. The final deciding factor was the date scene. That was just unbearable.
But then I go online and I see all this good stuff about them. And my friend ships them cause they’re canon, right? So, I’m like okay, what if I judged too quickly, let’s play the VN...and I did. And I still didn’t like him with Saber at all. So, I played the next route, watched the next anime, trying to redeem 1st route Shirou as much as I could but it just....didn’t happen. I think I can safely say I tried to like them. I really did. But no.
What would have made you like it?
Removing the misogyny and the immaturity and letting him listen to her. Like he should have.
At no point in their interactions did it feel like they were standing on equal ground, ever. Either he was speaking over her or the opposite. So less of that and a lot more respect.
And when you compare this relationship to what he has with like with his other two love interests, it makes this ship fall completely flat. It’s pretty...bland and honestly kind of shallow. It’s like the story just tells you they’re in love but there’s no answer to why they’re in love. Make him fall in love with her for her without necessarily forcing his need to save everyone on her.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
I may not like how they got there, but in the end Arturia was able to pass peacefully.
I acknowledge that Shirou was important and made a change in her life.
That ending scene where they meet after so long, NGL is pretty sweet.
A lot of my headcanons happen post-Shirou, so there’s also that.
Archer x Rin -Ship it
What made you ship it?
Tsundere x Cynic has gotta be one of the best dynamics out there.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
His true identity. The fact that she dragged him all the way across space and time to return as her Servant, that’s just bloody fate at work.
The fact that he keeps acknowledging she’s a strong Master despite his later conduct in UBW.
Archer is ridiculously crass and Rin is easily riled up. In the Fifth Holy Grail War, they had the best Master-Servant relationship period. They have this explosive chemistry that just works so well.
When he smiles at her at the end of the route, and you just know that Tohsaka’s gonna be stubborn enough to make sure Shirou doesn’t end up going down the exact same path.
I think it’s sweet that he ends up going along with her whims because he secretly likes housework.
THE PRINCESS CARRY/ CATCH. MAN OH MAN.
Unlike the previous ship mentioned here, these two actually stand on equal ground with each other.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
I don't think it's exactly an unpopular opinion, but I think they really ought to have more official content y'know? Rin is important in every route, and Archer's the actual climax of UBW and also entirely significant across three routes.
Medusa x Sakura - Don't ship it
Why don't you ship it?
Because while journeying through the routes, I always saw Rider as more of a best friend/sort of motherly figure to Sakura.
Or that Rider fulfilled the kind of relationship that she wanted to have with Rin, while Sakura unknowingly filled the void Medusa's sisters left in her life. I thought she was more of a guardian angel really, not a romantic interest. Kind of like how Heracles was to Illya.
What would have made you like it?
If I could maybe forget about the threesome with Shirou and the implied romantic feelings Rider has for him in Ataraxia that would be great.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
Sakura deserves all the happiness in the world and I really do believe that Rider could fulfill that.
This ship DEFINITELY DEFINITELYYYYYY NEEDS MORE CONTENT
Diarmuid x Cú - Ship it
What made you ship it?
oooh this probably sounds surprising since based on my content you'd think, no i dont ship this BUT I DOOOOOOO (i just happen to hc them as bros more often)
Honestly what did make me ship it is the parallels.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
IMO They have the biggest potential for hurt/comfort amongst all the ships mentioned here.
They can help each other get through their trauma. Their whole relationship would be extremely healing and supportive.
I love that Diarmuid seems to have idolized Cú Chulainn at some point and honestly who wouldn't be honored to stand beside him, no?
They could be up to the funniest shenanigans because Cú is chaos and Diarmuid would absolutely be an enabler because when he isn't angst-ing he's super damn chill.
Bros being bros hahahah...unless?
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Not really. Maybe that I think Lancer Diar and Cascu would get along better and Saber Diar and Lancer Cu would also get along better but honestly any form is good this ship is good

Hey, could you do headcanons involving a Master making Assasin Emiya and Archer Emiya meet each other would go like, if you haven’t already done this of course
- Archer was summoned some time well after Assassin. Really, Master was a bit surprised to see Archer Emiya, as he held a striking resemblance to Assassin. They figured that the two were related, and tried to introduce them...but Archer had slipped into spirit form the moment he saw Assassin.
- Assassin Emiya’s mentality is from a younger period in his life, before he met Shirou or even Irisviel. Still, he can’t help but feel a sense of familiarity whenever he sees Archer, however brief those glimpses are before Archer vacates the room. He’s curious, but he won’t pursue when it doesn’t seem to matter and Archer clearly is interested in keeping distance.
- It’s Master who asks Archer about Assassin. Archer is dismissive of the topic at first, stating that some spirits just happen to look alike and it’s nothing to read into. Master counters by asking why Archer avoids Assassin, then. When Archer hesitates, they know they’ve caught him out. But, they also know that it’s no good forcing the two into a room together to talk.
- The next time there’s a mission, Master takes Archer with them. They’re all set to go, laying in their coffins, when Assassin walks in. Before Archer can protest, Assassin has slid into a third coffin, and they’re all sent off.
- Of course, Archer isn’t pleased with Master’s trickery, but Master is playing innocent and saying they just chose the best Servants for the job. This may or may not be evidently untrue, but Emiyas by nature take pride in a good work ethic, so Archer bites his tongue and doesn’t complain.
- Assassin remains mostly silent, and Archer is no different. Aside from relevant input into what they can sense around them as the party travels through dense woods, it’s a quiet endeavor...and then a pack of beastmen decide to take a shot at the group.
- Immediately, both Emiyas fall into sync. Archer engages the enemies with his swords, while Assassin takes shots with his gun. They bark instructions and enemy locations to each other with deadly efficiency, trading out between close to long-range combat almost seamlessly. Both of them are highly efficient and skilled in battle, and that shines through clearly. For a pair of Servants who have never fought together before, they do so excellently.
- By the end of it, there seems to be a shift in the atmosphere. Archer is no longer wound quite as tense, and subtle as Assassin usually is with his emotions, he’s evidently more at ease with the other Servant as well. Neither start up small talk as they resume their journey, but that isn’t unusual for either of them regardless of company.
- With each battle, the Emiyas seem to grow more at ease. Though Archer is remaining clipped with his words and somewhat standoffish, he doesn’t seem to regret being there. In fact, he keeps stealing small glances towards Assassin...and the opposite is true. Even if Assassin doesn’t remember Shirou, he has vague impressions and feelings for those he was close to in life, and he can’t help a sense of familiarity when it comes to Archer.
- They won’t acknowledge the clear connection between them with any audience, and even in private it’s a near thing. Assassin is far from oblivious, and though he’s efficient and often ignores his own feelings, he can’t quite ignore the number of little glances Archer sends him, or how the other Servant still keeps his distance with him as much as he does with Servants he doesn’t get along with.
- Assassin is the one to finally bring it up, when it’s late and Archer is the only one in the kitchen, cleaning up after a busy day.
Assassin slips into the kitchen quietly, settling in one corner as Archer washes dishes. He’s in Archer’s blind spot, but still the other Servant gives a small tip of his head towards him, clearly aware that he isn’t alone. Such sharp senses are admirable, Assassin thinks. Although, his are just as keen, and he doesn’t miss the slight hitch in Archer’s movement when he speaks.
"I’ll just cut to the chase and ask you. Have we met at some point before being summoned here to Chaldea?”
The silence that follows is too long to make “no” a believable answer. Archer stares hard into the pot he’s scrubbing, and it almost seems as if he won’t answer the question at all. But Assassin is patient, and he remains motionless as he watches, and waits.
“At a point well beyond the person you are now.” Is Archer’s cryptic reply. It’s one that opens up far more questions than it answers, but Assassin picks his carefully.
“Was our encounter so bad that you want to avoid me, even now?
Once more, silence fills in the space between them. And once more, Assassin waits. Archer swipes the sponge over a fork three more times than he needs to, before he at last sets it aside to be rinsed.
“...No.”
Assassin waits for more elaboration, but it doesn’t come. Archer scrubs the dishes clean with a new fervor, and leaves the mystery of who he was to Assassin and who Assassin was to him as just that.

Lewd wishlist: Irisviel
Tumblr media
Irisviel tries to get out of sex by explaining she's married, but that just gets the other person harder. Turns out they're a fan of stealing married women, so now she's in for someone trying to fuck her so hard she'll forget who her husband even is~

i was told to come here for fate zero kotomine kirei questions? i was thinking about kirei in f/z and realized i don't think i actually completely understood his arc and specifically how it relates to his spirituality/belief in God? can you explain to me what happened to this strange knife-throwing man
i’d be VERY happy to, i love talking about kirei even if i don’t do it very often.
this is something that becomes a little more clear later on in heaven’s feel but the gist of it is that kirei has an inexplicably sadistic nature he does not understand where it comes from or why he has it. for the majority of fate/zero’s first part, he doesn’t even know it exists until gilgamesh slowly draws it out of him by making him deconstruct his own thought process and personal beliefs.
kirei was raised catholic and had a priest for a father, so kirei had catholic teachings of altruism and asceticism hammered into his young brain on top of risei’s, his father’s, expectations and desires for kirei to be “pure and beautiful”, just like kirei’s name suggests.
kirei, however, secretly felt repressed by those teachings and expectations since forsaking personal happiness and helping others never brought him any joy, and because he never felt any joy in helping others, he reasoned that joy and pleasure were sinful indulgences that a believer, much less a priest, should never partake in. he therefore internalized displeasure and complete emotional detachment as a natural and righteous state of life. this, coupled with the catholic belief that selflessness in life would mean salvation in death, resulted in kirei becoming far too guilty to ever chase after pleasure because doing so would mean betraying not just the faith in his Lord, but also all the hard work and love his father had put into raising him as a pure and beautiful person. kirei respected his father’s ideal and tried his best to live up to it, but fundamentally could not understand it, and he could not love the man it belonged to. in response to these emotions, kirei resorted to grievous and deadly methods of self-harm to keep himself walking the righteous path.
nevertheless, kirei could not contain his curiosity (and unbeknownst to him, his yearning) for pleasure and travelled the world attempting to find meaning and enjoyment in different activities. he graduated top of his class, skipped grades as an exceptional student, worked diligently as an executor, and even ate some of the most exquisite delicacies known to man... and found them all tasteless and unfulfilling. kirei was a truly hopeless individual with no direction or sense of self and personhood. he had failed to find meaning in basic, and even some luxurious, delights every human being desires to experience.
in a desperate, final gambit to connect with the inner humanity he lacked his entire life, kirei attempted to fall in love with a woman called claudia ortensia. claudia was terminally ill, and was not expected to live for much longer. while she did love him, he could not bring himself to reciprocate despite his best efforts. they were together for two years and had a child, caren, out of wedlock. throughout his time with claudia kirei could only find salvation in claudia’s suffering. but claudia, an incorregible saint, was willing to suffer if it meant bringing him joy and salvation. claudia slowly died, and soon enough her time was at hand. kirei believed that as her husband it was his duty to at least say his farewells on her deathbed. as claudia lay dying, kirei relayed the simple fact to claudia that after all their time together, he did not love her. to prove him wrong and save him, she disconnected her life support machine. kirei cried at the sight of wife selflessly dying to save him, and claudia, with her fading strength, told him that those tears were proof that he did love her, and that love is proof of his humanity.
unbeknownst to either of them, the true reason kirei cried was because he didn’t get to kill her himself.
kirei handed over his child to the church. if marriage did not save him, parenthood wouldn’t either. kirei contemplated suicide, but instead opted to return to his teachings and live as an executor, craving even the most artificial of purpose to justify his existence.
we then reach fate/zero. kirei is at his lowest emotional point, and sensing the pit in his soul yearning for purpose, the grail bestows him with command spells. kotomine risei contacts his ally tohsaka tokiomi, and takes kirei under his wing as an apprentice in magecraft.
kirei is a natural prodigy at magecraft, and is able to almost master every single discipline before abandoning it in frustration at his failure to find fulfillment and joy in it. (interestingly enough, he has a particularly high affinity for spiritual healing and surgery.) while kirei intends to follow tokiomi and risei’s orders to crown tokiomi as the victor of the grail war, he secretly begrudges being a bored pawn with no freedom and bears no actual loyalty to either of them.
in the world’s most bizarre boy-meets-girl scenario in the history of anime, kotomine kirei learns of emiya kiritsugu. kiritsugu is a mercenary employed by the einzberns to participate in the holy grail war. he has fought in countless battlefields, only joining the fight when combat is at its fiercest. he has killed scores upon scores of mages who deviate from the clocktower’s rules, and has been reported to have taken extreme measures in his assassinations such as bringing down an entire commercial airline just because his target was in it. kirei is mystified by kiritsugu’s lack of moral restraint, personhood, and regard for his own life. kirei immediately projects his own lack of self into kiritsugu and is desperate to understand him. he vows to meet kiritsugu in battle to finally grasp the answer to the question that is his existence.
as he attempts to meet kiritsugu throughout the story, kirei is approached by gilgamesh, the world’s most ancient hedonist. gilgamesh senses that kirei is repressing a fundamental part of himself, and that’s the true source of kirei’s unhappiness. gilgamesh attempts to make kirei realize that kirei has never lacked anything, he’s just tried to avert his gaze from the truth of his own nature. gilgamesh tells kirei that pleasure and joy aren’t things that are inherently sinful. human beings instinctively seek pleasure as and end in and of itself, and kirei is no different. because pleasure is a natural human drive, it can never be something unforgivable. to drive his point further, gilgamesh asks kirei that if he can’t see himself winning, then he should try to imagine a scenario where the war’s weakest combatant, matou kariya, does.
kirei does try, but before he can tell kirei what he envisions, gilgamesh stops him. gilgamesh reveals that there was no point to engaging in speculation when kirei asks if there was one, but the fact kirei did anyway shows he found a meaningless notion entertaining, and therefore, fulfilling. this comes to a head when kirei decides to heal kariya’s burn wounds after his confrontation with tokiomi. kirei experiences a rush he’s never felt before. he hasn’t just helped kariya stay in the race for the grail out of his own volition, he has done it against his master’s orders and best interests.
when risei is killed by kayneth, kirei finds his grief to be oddly forced and empty. surely, he must be devastated at the death of his father, the man who loved him, raised him, taught him, and made him who he is today. but strangely, his grief seems to be directed at something else. that’s when gilgamesh appears to him and tells him the reason why he’s sad isn’t that his father died, but that kirei didn’t get to kill him himself. this shocks kirei to his core, but he’s also forced to entertain that notion. once he realizes that gilgamesh IS right about what kirei really wanted out of his father, he’s ordered by tokiomi to leave japan and exit the war as demanded by irisviel if an alliance between the tohsakas and the einzberns against the matous is to take place. kirei secretly meets with gilgamesh, who is bored and frustrated with tokiomi, and they agree to partner up and kill tokiomi. kirei realizes that there was a satisfaction in killing tokiomi and having the last thing he ever saw be kirei betraying him and asserting his personal desire over his obligation to his teacher.
kirei, now fully committed to discovering what he yearns for the most, tells kariya he will allow him to duel tokiomi once more in exchange for bringing him the container of the holy grail and the person closest to kiritsugu: irisviel. unbeknownst to kariya, tokiomi’s wife aoi has been summoned to the church by kirei. kariya finds tokiomi already dead, and aoi walks into kariya holding tokiomi’s corpse. aoi believes kariya has killed tokiomi, and angrily accuses kariya of never having loved anyone. kariya reaches the breaking point of his rage and suffering after being rejected by aoi, the person he was enduring torture and humiliation for, and asphyxiates her in madness. realizing what he’s done, kariya runs away from the church wailing in grief and guilt. kirei and gilgamesh had watched the whole affair, and kirei realizes that what he finds meaning and pleasure in is inflicting suffering upon others and watch them collapse under the crosses struggles they carry. while he does not understand why he is this way, he nevertheless wants to find out to feel complete and intends to use the grail for that purpose.
kirei meets with irisviel, and demands answers for his questions about emiya kiritsugu. irisviel reveals kiritsugu is not the heartless killing machine kirei believed him to be, but fundamentally an altruist who wishes to shower the world in peace and blessings and seeks the grail for that purpose. she condescends kirei by telling him kiritsugu is not like him, he is far better and that’s why kiritsugu will not lose. finally understanding the man whose nature has eluded him and finding where kirei’s karma stands in relation to him, kirei kills irisviel and vows to destroy kiritsugu’s dream with his own hands.
when kiritsugu and kirei fight and the grail interferes by crowning kiritsugu the winner rather than reach a stalemate, kirei watches kiritsugu speaking with angra mainyu. he observes kiritsugu realizing that what he wanted all along was to live peacefully with his family even if it meant forsaking the world to a violent extinction. he is baffled at kiritsugu rejecting the cursed genocidal grail, and demands kiritsugu to hand it over if he doesn’t want it, because kirei has the need to find the defining principle of his own existence. after kiritsugu kills kirei and has saber destroy the grail, the curses that spill out of it engulf kirei’s corpse and resuscitate him. angra mainyu has declared kirei as the winner for the sake of using him as an anchor and a midwife for his eventual birth.
upon seeing angra mainyu’s catastrophe, kirei concludes that the calamity he is standing over is what his heart has yearned for all this time. he laughs in shock, irony, and glee that despite kotomine risei’s righteous nature and teachings, kirei is simply a monstrous and heretical cur who thrives in the agony of mankind. when gilgamesh asks if the sight of angra mainyu’s birth has satisfied him, kirei replies that it doesn’t, because kirei has been shown the end result of his desire rather than the actual philosophical principle and logical process that guides to the outcome. so for the next 10 years, kirei wrestles with the fact that he still cannot abandon his teachings and his obligation to be somewhat helpful as a priest for the desire to reject and challenge god and allow angra mainyu to fully manifest in this world and engulf it completely to finally give his existence meaning and validity because he knows his impulses to be wrong and yet needs to know why he has them and whether he is still worthy of living while having them. he is willing to manipulate and kill and betray and curse and deprive and destroy the world just for that chance at redeeming his existence because not understanding himself and having denied himself joy for so long has utterly broken him as a person and this is all he has left after a lifetime of denying himself happiness, empathy, and understanding to work through his feelings. to bless angra mainyu’s birth as a man of the cloth would reconcile his religious principles and belief in a merciful all-loving god with his yearning to accept and comprehend himself, because if angra mainyu can be allowed to live and prosper in this world while being the unforgivable culmination of all sin, then maybe he can too. (this is also a powerful and intimate parallel to both shirou and sakura that deserves its own post that i may or may not write later.)
that’s pretty much his development throughout zero and his defining character struggle in fate/stay night. this is something that spring song will delve into further and it’s actually quite interesting how such a bastard of a man suddenly becomes so sympathetic towards the end of the entire game.
grace if you ever have time for it i heavily encourage you to read through the heaven’s feel route whether through letsplayarchive or by playing realta nua yourself whilst we wait for a spring song release in the west because your perception of everyone will change drastically as you understand them at a much deeper level the movies could not show because of runtime constraints. i hope this explanation wasn’t too long or convoluted or raised more questions than delivered answers. three good friends of mine, thessaliah, kurozu501, and avicebro here on tumblr can probably elaborate further and offer more insight if you’re interested.

Massive Headcanon Post
Tumblr media
ALRIGHT I HAVE IDEAS!!! I think.... Headcanons below the damn cut because they’ll be separated into different series! God I hope this becomes a thing I do...
Please enjoy!!
Fate
Raikou’s favourite time of day is dawn. She likes to see the sun coming up and the hope of a new day washes over her, making her look forward to another day of her being not insane as she believes she is.
Shikibu secretly collects figures of the other Casters and sometimes makes them move with her magic, re-enacting something she sees in her head. She then writes out in her little diary, as if it was the most interesting thing ever when really...she made them kiss with her own figure she had gotten made.
Arturia also does baking on the side whenever she’s alone and she’s made sure that the cafeteria is empty. She’s been caught several times but they let her do her thing as she looked determined to get the recipes down. This is usually to thank everyone who has helped her, especially her master.
Tiamat likes to decorate mindlessly when she’s stressed. She’ll do it usually with Christmas decorations she has in her room, because she likes how fun they look. Sometimes it might be with Halloween ones. The Primordial Mother just likes decorating so much.
Europa sometimes might summon Talos and pet him to calm herself down. Having her bull close to her soothes her, especially when she sees things aren’t going as well. If she doesn’t have her bull, she’ll curl up and try to breathe but it doesn’t work sometimes.
Irisviel isn’t too fond of people badmouthing her children. Especially those she considers her own. She’ll kick the crap out of you so hard that you won’t even get up for the next week.
Black Clover
Asta hates it when people ask about his parents or drill into him that he should have died way too long ago. He’s never had any proper blood parents so he’ll say the Father at the church he was raised at is his dad. But when people say that doesn’t count, he won’t like it. He’ll also say that the belief in his comrades helped him live.
Noelle isn’t actually too close to the Mama Squad. She feels awkward around them. Or any sort of mother figure as she has no idea what to say. She’s also afraid of breaking down in front of them as it’s not becoming of a royal as she has drilled into her head.
Vanessa only drinks to make sure the lonely thoughts don’t invade her mind. She hates feeling lonely and drinking helps alleviate it. But when she doesn’t, her mind starts playing on the fact that she’ll be alone forever and she just heads to bed, crying.
Bleach
Ichigo has nightmares about Yhwach from time to time. He always thinks about how he could have ended it a lot more quicker so that everyone could have lived. He always imagines several outcomes. But whenever he opens his eyes, he remembers those who have died in the War and it hurts him so much.
Orihime wishes she was as strong as Yoruichi. She has one of the strongest abilities yet she hates how indecisive she can be. She has kept to herself that her kind heart has hindered her so much, even with the amount of people telling her it’s her best trait and one that should be kept as there was enough hate in the world.
Yoruichi often feels like a failure. She has strongly felt this ever since Aizen and it continues to eat away at her even after the Thousand Year Blood War.
Highschool DxD
Issei often feels like the girls that love him aren’t real. That he’s not really deserving of their love. He has these thoughts that plague his mind every other day that tell him that Rias is lying or that Raynare is actually still alive and is playing tricks on him.
Rias does her best to be there for everyone. But hates how her own duties stops her from doing that which instead makes her rely on Issei to see how everyone is. It’s not just as the alpha female in the harem, it’s as a friend to everyone.
Sona secretly enjoys dressing up with her sister, Serafall, as it reminds her that one day she may not be able to spend much time with her. So she never tells her to go away whenever Serafall is with her, rather she’ll just bear it and blush in embarrassment.
Date A Live
Kotori still enjoys the kids meals at the nearest restaurants as she loves how cute they are always made. She’ll always add it in with another order so she gets to indulge in how cute it is before devouring it.
Kurumi isn’t a big fan crowds. Whilst it does help her with her concealment, she feels her heart race whilst being within them. She has to take a moment in the shadows to get her heart to a more normal rate before going back in there again.
Love Live!
Umi is always the strict one. However, she almost always feels bad when she has to berate someone because in her own home, she has been treated a lot more harshly as the next head of the Sonoda household. But she keeps this fact closely guarded.
Kotori is always thinking about something. Usually about how to get Honoka to be hers only but she never acts upon it. She’d hate that she’d feel horrible if she did make Honoka only hers and “took out” the other competition that is her idol group. So instead, she gets out of this habit through fashion designing.
Mari isn’t actually a big fan of showing her wealth off to other people, only her friends. Sometimes she accidentally does it and then they try and cosy up to her. She hates that. She can see right through them and immediately denies them.
Chika doesn’t actually have many passions except idols. If it weren’t for idols, she would most likely stare blankly into the ceiling of her home as she would take over the Ryokan Inn that her mother owns. She’d just wonder what she was doing, whether or not if existing was right or not.
Karin has been offered various modelling gigs, which is of no surprise. However, there have been times when she has considered going 18+ modelling but refused in the end. She was curious yes but will never do it.  Of course, she’s just about getting by.
Emma has always been Karin’s best friend. They always look out for each other. However, Emma can see whether or not something is bothering Karin but doesn’t ever bring it up. Instead, she just wants to see her happy.
Bang Dream!
Sayo is a girl of many secrets. She only ever tells them to her twin sister, Hina as of late. Before, she’d never tell anyone about herself and if she did, it was only the bare minimum. She’s still closed off as she refuses to get hurt by anyone.
Tomoe is always overworking herself. She has lots of volunteering and things she does, which always leaves her knackered (tired as fuck) at the end of the day and all she wants to do is sleep. Even on days when she looks like she’s okay, she isn’t. She wants to rest.
Aya is clumsy and will get lost, just not as often as Kanon, her friend. However, she feels inadequate as an idol. She has trained for this but it always bothers her, as it goes into late night practices and early dawn nap times. She has considered giving up so many times, because of all the hate she has seen, even with her idol group, she’s usually the one with the most hate as she is at the centre most of the time.
Arisa is just gay as fuck. But she isn’t sure if it’s right to feel that way or not about certain people (KASUMI TOYAMA)
My Hero Academia
Kyouka has an innate talent of analysing quirks as well, she has never realised it. She has an analytical brain that can probably compete with Midoriya’s if she applied what she knew about music into hero work.
Momo hasn’t been the biggest fan of being raised rich. She always wondered what it’d be like to live a normal life, without all the privilege and weight of a legacy she has  on top of her.
Danganronpa
Tenko has always been confused about what to feel about the ‘degenerate males’ she has met. Especially the likes of Shuichi and Makoto. She has wondered if her view of them being horrible is skewed as she seems Shuichi as one of her closest friends. But she won’t ever admit that, ever.
Kaede really wants to know if she can stop with the piano puns. She likes to make them too much.
Makoto hasn’t exactly had the easiest time mentally. The death of his friends always haunts him even in his sleep. The screams, lights, flames, everything. He remembers all the details vividly and when he tries to reach out for them, their dead bodies are there on the floor.
Komaru has a hard time of knowing if she fits in or not as she had been taken from school and is now older than what she believes she is. She sits there wondering if it’s right to be this way now or not.
Other Muses
Jotaro is very cautious of everyone he meets. He doesn’t want a repeat of what happened in Egypt if he gets too close to anyone he likes. Even if DIO is gone, he’s never gotten rid of the feeling that someone will die in his presence or in his name.
Levi has a soft spot for his brats. He basically sees them as his children as this point and he may have been called dad once or twice by a few them. He enjoyed that but only gave them a glare.
Weiss is a soft gay for Ruby. But apart from that, she’s fine with both guys and girls.
Mami always has the feeling of her wish being selfish at the back of her mind. It’s there nagging away at her as if it would come back to bite her in the ass so she’s always out there doing her best for her juniors and always on the look our for Kyoko Sakura.
Natsu hates how his former guild had treated him. He isn’t a dumbass who can’t do anything right, rather he’s someone who was the most attuned to his emotions as his flames prove. If he meets anyone from there, he won’t hesitate to take them out with one punch.
Lelouch actually had a crush on Cornelia for a brief moment before knowing of his relation to her. He decided to drop it and add her to the list of “Siblings I absolutely adore” but from time to time he does wonder if they weren’t related, would they take over the world together?
Haru has pictures of her friends in a small box. She also has one thing they owned within it too. She’s unaware of how strange this is.

Fate/Zero light novel readthru and commentary, Vol. 3 Act 9-10
-“Ryūnosuke’s shoulders shook as he sobbed. Caster gently gathered him into his comforting embrace.”
POP HIS HEAD OFF, POP HIS HEAD RIGHT OFF
- “In the end I was not eliminated by God, but by men who had endless desires, like me. The Church and King decided that I was guilty, captured and executed me. But all they wanted was my wealth and my land; they simply drew me into a trap to make those things their own. That was not punishment for my sins! That was nothing more than blatant robbery!”
DUDE, YOU WERE CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF RAPING, TORTURING AND KILLING LITTLE BOYS. STFU.
- Kiritsugu loves fast food, and hated the haute cuisine of the Einzberns.
- The mutual obsession between Kirei and Kiritsugu, wow.
- “Under normal circumstances, when a person wears a smile he often will infect the people around him, easing the surrounding atmosphere, but by coincidence Kirei was of a personality that was not the sort to like seeing other people smiling; moreover, the smile of the King of Heroes in front of him could only be associated with some unsettling things.”
GIL, TONE THE RAPEFACE DOWN A NOTCH, YOU'RE SCARING THE GUY YOU'RE BASICALLY TRYING TO SEDUCE
As if now more interested in Kirei who had been again granted the holy marks, the scarlet eyes of the King of Heroes shone with the light of pleasure.
- "To pursue, for your own desires. That is the true way of entertainment. Then entertainment will bring pleasure, and pleasure will guide you in the direction of happiness.
The road has been pointed out to you, Kirei. Pointed out extremely clearly to you."
THIS ENTIRE SCENE IS GIL SAYING “TAKE ME NOW, KIREI!” GIL'S A POWER BOTTOM, PROVE ME WRONG
- Irisviel hummed for a while, then suddenly a mischievous smile emerged on her face.
“I’ve suddenly got an idea. We should go to the world’s black market and buy something like the latest tank or bomber; if you get in and drive it, then wouldn't you finish this entire Heaven's Feel with one blow?”
IRI, YOU’RE THINKING TOO SMALL
1. KILL YOUR HUSBAND, CUT HIS HAND OFF, BOOM, YOU GOT SABER'S COMMAND SPELLS
2. HAVE SABER KILL SOLA-UI (DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND TAKE OUT KAYNETH TOO), CUT HER HAND OFF, BOOM, YOU'VE GOT LANCER'S COMMAND SPELLS, SO YOU CAN GIVE HIM MANA SO HE DOESN'T DIE WHEN SOLA-UI BITES IT.
POINT OUT THAT, SEEING AS YOU ARE TECHNICALLY THE GRAIL, HE JUST ACHIEVED HIS GOAL. WHICH ALSO MEANS HE REALLY DOESN'T HAVE TO KILL SABER.
3. ASK MAIYA IF SHE WANTS TO BLOW THIS POPSICLE STAND WITH YOU ALL, OR, IF THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE WANTS, OFFER TO GIVE HER A LIFT SOMEWHERE.
3. FUCKING RUN EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE OVER. TURN FUYUKI CITY INTO A PARKING LOT. (SORRY SHIROU, RIN, TAIGA AND SAKURA, IT'S FOR A GOOD CAUSE)
4. RAM A WALL IN EINZBERN CASTLE, GET ILYA
5. GET THE FUCK OUT OF JAPAN, GO TO MONACO WITH YOUR NEW FAMILY AND BECOME A FORMULA ONE RACER OR SOMETHING. YOU CAN ALL BE HAPPY NOW THE END.
I KNOW THERE ARE HOLES IN THE PLAN, BUT, TRUST ME, IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT'S COMING UP
- “Oooh! I found you I found you! Such a short dude hiding between the shelves really can’t be seen by anyone, and is so bothersome to find.”
DON'T FEEL BAD, WAVER, MY HUSBAND LOSES ME IN BOOKSTORES B/C I'M SHORT TOO
- Half way through his sentence, Waver suddenly discovered that the large paper bag in Rider’s hand was too enormous as packaging for just one software disc. He immediately realised that this King of Conquerors bought the console as well.
LOCAL GAMESTOP'S ECSTATIC B/C HE PREORDERED EVERYTHING COMING UP, TOO.
ACT 10
- “Caster is at the depths of that massive meat. Well, what should we do?”
BREAK OUT THE BBQ SAUCE?
- 11th mention of Diarmuid's attractiveness.
- ““If this is a monster film, we are surely the roles which will be killed. The underdogs from Ultraman.”
WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE A RED SHIRT, BUT CAN'T DO A THING ABOUT IT
- Tokiomi, you are the biggest wuss, ever. Your 7 year old is braver than you - she hears her friend’s vanished, she just decided she was going to find her.
You're too chicken to use your Command Spells. Gil doesn't buy your ass-kissing anymore, no wonder he's cheating on you.
- “Numerous thick and robust web-like extensions stretched out from the surface of the meat lump on the river and entangled Kobayashi's craft, forcibly dragging the plane down despite the turbofan engine's thrust. Such a scene can only be called a nightmare.
The plane didn’t explode when it smashed into the meat lump. The F15, reduced into scrap iron, sank deeply into the gigantic primeval creature and was swallowed with not a single fragment left.”
THIS HAS GOTTEN LOVECRAFTIAN. H. R. GEIGER WON'T EVEN PAINT THIS SHIT.
-The pilot, who'd already literally gone insane, just dies of horror when Berserker lands on the plane.
- “The thick evening mist enveloped the icy air as Tōsaka Tokiomi descended from the sky.
For a proficient magus, a controlled descent through manipulating mass and air currents is nothing too difficult. Or perhaps it should be said that the degree of proficiency is determined by the elegance of its execution.
Maintaining an absolutely vertical and straight path, landing as lightly as feather with his clothes and hair completely unruffled - an ordinary magus would definitely give a heartfelt praise upon seeing such an exemplary and skilled move like Tokiomi's.”
HE'S PROBABLY THINKING HE LOOKS LIKE MAGNETO
- What's grosser, tentacle monsters that eat planes, or magic worms slowly eating their host?
- Thank you, Kiritsugu, for killing Ryūnosuke, possibly the one decent action you've taken so far.
- “Based on Tōsaka Tokiomi’s standards, this is too crude to be called a battle of magecraft - it was nothing but a comical farce.”
SEEING AS YOU COULD HAVE JUST FARTED HARD AND KILLED KARIYA, YEAH.
- I am wondering if the idiots I've seen on Tumblr call Diarmuid an incel have missed that the second he learns Saber can nuke Caster's monster, he breaks Gae Buidhe to restore her left hand's strength?
- Even though he’s totally psycho, Caster seeing Jeanne before he died (in the anime, she’s offering him her hand)was pretty heartbreaking.
- “Different from the King of Conqueror’s fully melancholic expression, the golden Servant’s smile was immeasurably obscene and did not hide his dirty desires at all.”
ALEXANDER'S GOING TO PUNCH YOU RIGHT IN YOUR RAPEFACE, GIL.
- He had a flashback to Enkidu's death, him weeping in his arms because Gil would be all alone. Ow.
- You know, If Tokiomi had thought about it, he should have tried to have Kirei summon Enkidu, just to keep Gil's ass in line.

your favourite trope descriptions in your muse’s tv tropes article.
Tumblr media
Characters / Fate/Grand Order: Avengers
The Corruption: Their class description calls them "[the] dark side of the Holy Grail, which is the contents in the cup" (although this technically only applies to Aŋra Mainiiu and Dark Irisviel/Justeaze). Some reading between the lines in Babylonia, though, implies that Avengers in Fate as a whole may be linked to the Beasts and their life-negating properties, and that the Evils of the World which Aŋra represents and which infected the Fuyuki Grail after it tries to make the wish for him to exist come true, starting this whole mess, might be related to the Beasts.
Power Glows: Much moreso than other Servants, Avengers tend to visibly glow with their dark power in high-tier ascensions.
Character Development: She doesn't really regret what she did in Orleans, but for her interlude as a playable Servant she takes the protagonist to Orleans before a new sub singularity can form based on the resentment the people have for her. It's noted that her attempts to take responsibility for her actions has actually made her worthy of being a proper Servant.
Death Seeker: She claims all Avengers to be this on some level. Due to their physical inability to let of their hatred even when their revenge is rendered pointless, dying is the only thing that can truly release them from their suffering.
Though Jeanne does not act like it, as an Avenger, she is looking for a place to die.Even if it is not a comfortable, calm one, even if it is a vicious one full of despair, she fights on every day, hoping that it is a death death she can come to terms with.
Do Not Call Me "Paul": She doesn't like to be called Jeanne, only Jeanne Alter. Which makes sense because they're entirely different people.
Even Evil Has Standards: She finds Kiyohime's Yandere tendencies annoying to say the least, telling her bluntly that Kiyo is insane. This is a justified trope, since she also called out other servants and the protagonist for not calling out Kiyohime's Yandere behavior due to them being afraid of doing so.
❝ Since all the good guys will say nothing, I shall say it to you! ...Kiyohime, you are sick. If you can't even tolerate a lie, then go be a nun (尼 can also mean bitch) or something. ❞
Heroic Self-Deprecation: There are hints that part of the reason she tries so hard to present herself as a pure evil hardass is that she doesn't believe people could or will genuinely like her. So she plays the part of a villain to justify this to herself. .
I Just Want to Be Loved: She desperately wants someone to love her, eternal violent rage and all. Her problem is her contradictory nature; she's shamelessly evil and Allergic to Love, meaning she'll reject any attempts at connecting. She's well aware of this too, adding more to her existential angst.
The Power of Hate: She has a moment in Shinjuku where she stresses that all Avengers are so obsessed with filling a void inside themselves that they cannot help but lash out and destroy anything. It's powerful, but the hatred can never subside or be satisfied, so they just continue to burn themselves out until there's nothing left. As a result, she actually believes that whenever you see an Avenger, you should kill them for their own good.

Hello, Did Irisviel know about Kiritsugu and Maiya? I am not sure. But it does feel like kicking Irisviel when she was going to sacrifice herself while knowing a competitor could potentially make another wish. Thanks.
Iri knew. Kerry is a manchild with the emotional range of a 7 year old (because of his traumas) and so cheated on Iri with Maya so he could "get used to hurting her [Iri]" so that he wouldn't hesitate when it came time to make his wish for eternal world peace.
On her part Iri just accepted it, because yeah it hurt but she's well aware that her husband's a dumbass and tried to look on the brighter side of things.
Tumblr media
Fate/Zero is a story about three things: Kerry's tragic downfall (and like many tragedies much of it could have been avoided if he made different choices), bullying Artoria- no this isn't a joke Nasu's pretty upfront about making Urobuchi bully her and egging him on/letting him write as dark as possible because its a prequel/to help Urobuchi deal with his depression- and the difference between Artoria's, Iskander's, and (Archer) Gil's kingship.
The first is met by Kerry being a vindictive manchild who deludes himself and doesn't think about his actions beyond the emotional torment it inflicts upon him and the few people he cares about thanks to being laser focused on his goal.
The second is met through Artoria and Rider's fierce verbal and physical debate. And while Artoria won all of them and is indisputably correct in terms of Rider's personal philosophies Ionian Hetaroi, Kerry being a vindictive ass (to her because he doesn't want to acknowledge their similarities and thus question himself, and to Diarmuid with the Kayneth and Sola incident), and finally just everything about Berserker Lancelot. Which leads into Fsn where she wishes to have someone else take up the burden of Kingship. Because Artoria much like Kerry was banking hard on that "omnipotent wish granting object" to fix everything without much thought before that.
And the last of course is mainly done through their relationships with their Masters and the Banquet of Kings.

What are some disturbing anime scenes you can never unsee?
The entire Fate/Zero piece of runny ѕнιт тυя∂. Because, one of my cousins decided to pull a prank on me. So I had just finished watching Bleach and Naruto. I asked him to recommend me an anime that didn’t have any of my pet peeves. He did the exact opposite. Here are what scenes disturbed me and made me abhor this anime.
When Kiritsugu is sleeping around with Maya at the hotel room. (I have a pet peeve of infidelity/harem.)
When that blond guy killed the old priest (Umm, this one even scared my late Pomeranian baby boy. His name was Hairball and he loved watching action animes, movies, series, etc. As long as it had some fighting or violence in it. But, this scene made him crawl underneath his blanket out of fear!)
When Kiritsugo cuts off that redhead woman’s arm. (I have an amputee phobia.)
Uryu! Okay, everything he did was messed up! Specially the jars with mutilated kiddy parts. (I only hate Kiritsugo more because, I love Johnny Yong Bosch and he voices Uryu. That and I can’t stand infidelity and harems. Plus, Kiritsugo was just such an unbelievable αѕѕнσℓє to Irisviel. My freaking God! He’s just like Darien from SM!)
When Kiritsugo put Irisviel’s life in danger only to test out someone’s strength and when he didn’t give a rat’s αѕѕ whether she lived or died. (Although, I guess I’ll always be eternally grateful for this scene. Because, it made me stop hating Sasuke Uchiha and made me appreciate him so much more. Because, I just compared his so called "hatred" towards Naruto to Kiritsugo indifference towards Irisviel and yeahhh… no matter how hard Sasuke tried to make it seem like he hated Naruto and didn’t care about him. He could never quite follow through. I even have like sooo many examples of where his "brotherly" love for Naruto showed. So yeah, thank you Kiritsugo for making me love Sasuke and SasuNaru all over again.)
The ending! Kiritsugo’s wish after he got the holy grail. God! I hate this mf sooo much! I don’t think I’ve ever hated an anime male character as much as him. (I abhor this anime because of him. If Johnny Yong Bosch, Liam O’Brien and Crispin Freeman hadn’t voiced their characters in here. I would’ve stopped watching this stupid dog ѕнιт the second after I found out Kiritsugo had his harem.
Oh! And Kariya’s ending! He did NOT deserve going down the way he did! He was the only person who was actually a genuine good guy! Him and Irisviel were the only ones who had pure hearts and they got the short ends of the string.

@possidere liked for a starter.
Exploring unfamiliar places and trying new things was a favoured pastime and luxury for Irisviel. Being raised in a castle for 9 years with no experience of the outside world made her overly-curious and excited to to do anything different, so naturally she found herself in the first marketplace she found. It was diverse; every shop was unique with various items she was familiar with, and others the homunculus had never before seen. It was all incredible! And she was fascinated, especially so with the flowers she had arrived at.
Tumblr media
Each bouquet was luscious and full with vibrant colours, with some species she’d never even heard of. Leaning into the two she was holding, Iri tried to judge which had a better scent, to which she couldn’t decide. She would purchase every one if she could, but she had not the space nor money for that. It would be a hard decision... perhaps she could leave it to the person perusing beside her? Surely, they must know more than herself.
“Pardon me, which bouquet do you think is best?”

[2:05 pm-ish, April 20, 2019]
Man, there is nothing that puts me in a fouler mood than when I let my own personal procrastination demon get the better of me on a perfectly free Saturday to the point that I don’t start getting any writing done until after 2 in the afternoon. I had planned to get up early and everything, and I even did. Sort of.
I scrolled through a ton of YouTube videos first, and before I knew it, it was nearing ten in the morning and I still needed to eat something. Ugh, so I did that…and then I committed the sin of hibernating on the couch for a couple of hours to catch up on some anime-related stuff. Though it was the sort that always manages to fuel my inspiration and imagination.
[Present Day]
Okay, I know what you’re thinking: that all’s no excuse, every procrastinating writer says that as they convince themselves to turn on Netflix or Hulu to “get inspiration” instead of writing and end up marathoning that show they really just want to finish so they’re caught up with everyone else, and because they love it so much.
Just the same, it did give me what I needed to open up my laptop and start working towards my writing goal for the day working on editing and polishing my manuscript: I finally got around to watching Kara No Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin – Recalled Out Summer and Recalled Out Summer: Extra Chorus.
Okay, now that probably doesn’t mean a whole lot just by a name-drop, but let me explain. After all, that’s the whole point of this blog post: My love letter to Type-Moon. (And yes, I realize I’m not the first person to express said love in a blog post.)
Tumblr media
Saber from the Fate Series and Ryougi Shiki from Kara No Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners
Type-Moon is a Japanese game company known primarily for their visual novels. Not really a thing here in the West, at least not as much if at all, but when I was first introduced to the concept of visual novels, I thought of them as choose-your-own-adventures played as an electronic game rather than read as a book. As I’ve come to better understand it, it’s kind of like that, you do make certain decisions that can lead to certain endings, but sometimes, as in the case of arguably Type-Moon’s most well-known visual novel, Fate/Stay Night, the point is to play through three different versions of the same story premise: kid gets dragged into ancient battle royale known as the Holy Grail War, and with each version of the story, or “route”, being played through, each featuring a different heroine for our protagonist, Shirou Emiya. One route builds upon the previous, and each route gets subsequently darker in terms of plot points and content.
Fate/Zero, incidentally (and my #1 favorite anime ever), is the prequel to that, and succeeds where most prequels don’t, since it’s a tragedy (I’ll go into more detail on that in my upcoming post about how Fate/Zero succeeds as a prequel). That was written as a light novel (kinda like a YA novel, or well, a shorter novel, so “light” novel) before it was adapted into an anime, and sets up the events of all three routes in Stay Night. So, it confirms that no matter what route you’re in in Stay Night, the events of Zero hold true for each of them. (Which is interesting when you consider the damage some of the characters in Stay Night have been living with since Zero, yet they may or may not come up in Stay Night depending on what route’s being played.)

The co-founders of Type-Moon, writer Kinoko Nasu and illustrator Takashi Takeuchi, have come up with some pretty interesting and awesomely cool material in my opinion, and not only for Stay Night, which ultimately culminated in launching the Fate franchise, which has…a HUGE number of titles, and with the anime adaptations of Zero, the original of Stay Night, and the reboots of Stay Night covering the two subsequent routes that the original couldn’t really cover, a bunch more titles in the franchise have each been getting their own anime adaptations in turn, as though there was suddenly this HUGE frenzy for Fate title after Fate title to be adapted into an anime, demonstrating just how sprawling the lore and fanbase of this franchise is.

And if that weren’t enough, there isn’t just Fate, there are other Type-Moon-developed visual novels whose worlds are connected to that of Fate. The only two I’m aware of for sure are Tsukihime and Kara No Kyoukai. (And then there’s Canaan, which was developed by Type-Moon too and its wonderful little 13-episode series in its own way, though I’ve been unable to verify for sure just how much if at all it’s connected with the aforementioned titles.) While I haven’t been able to get into Tsukihime much at all, since I can’t shell out to get my hands on the original visual novel, translated or not, and the anime is notorious for sucking so much that most deny it even exists, I have been able to get into Kara No Kyoukai, a series of films adapted originally from a seven-series online novel written by Nasu, and are seen by many as primers to the world of the Nasuverse (or the world of Type-Moon), which makes sense since when you see it you can recognize characters and plot points that feel like they were taken and reworked for things like Fate. Despite that though, they still do in fact exist in the same universe all as their own characters with their own stories.
Yeah it’s a lot. And the Kara No Kyoukai films cost a pretty penny, but this year I at long last got my hands on both the bluray box set of both the original seven films, as well as the additional film (Future Gospel and Recalled Out Summer: Prelude), and the extra special (Recalled Out Summer: Extra Chorus) just this year–stories that Nasu had an idea for after the original seven came out, but had not written in novel form. I’ve watched the first seven several times at least, but I was hesitant for the longest time about seeing the eighth film and the extra specials, since the first seven tied together so satisfyingly well, to put it mildly. But I finally gave in because I just love Type-Moon that much. And in the end, I was happy I got it, if only to have more Type-Moon in my life.
And that love compelled me to write out, essentially, a love letter conveying that love to Type-Moon. I’ve developed a lot of plot points for both my novel manuscript, as well as my style and voice as a writer, from the material I’ve seen from Type-Moon.

Fate/Zero was my induction, the jumping off point from which I finally took the plunge (some would argue watching the 2006 adaptation of the first route of Fate/Stay Night first is more prudent, but if I’m being honest, I tried that, and just couldn’t get through it knowing something like Fate/Zero was out there–I just couldn’t wait, though eventually I did end up owning and watching the original 2006 Stay Night, mostly because I was starved for Fate material until more of the anticipated new content came out, and because I was able to get a DVD copy of the series for $10.00–more than worth it, it turned out).

Anyway, Zero pulled me in not just with eye-candy, godly levels of animation quality unprecedented in an anime TV series (considering how much budgeting goes into animation on the whole in the industry), and not just with its very epic concept of the Holy Grail War and all that that entailed as well, but also with its characters.
I adored Waver Velvet, the underdog student of magecraft who, despite being in over his head as the youngest participant in the War, manages to summon the hero Alexander the Great to act as his Servant, the one who’ll fight the other Masters by proxy with Servants of their own, all of them famous figures plucked from history and legend (with some creative license, in some cases a lot). And throughout the course of the War, they form an admirable friendship.
I despaired over the fate of Kariya Matou, who was basically the character that every show like this has, the one that gets ALL THE CRAP thrown at him, and undeservedly of course, as he tried so hard to win just for the sake of saving a girl from the abuses of her adoptive family, even with the cards stacked against him.
I relished in the development of the villain Kirei Kotomine, who could’ve just come off as your typical priest-that’s-secretly-a-bad-seed, but instead is SO much more than that, and it’s awesome.
Then there’s Gilgamesh, the sort of OP, arrogant villain you love to hate, but also the kind that has the power to back up his boasting being master of the universe.
Then you’ve got Saber, i.e. King Arthur, who despite apparently really being a girl named Arturia, all this time, still lives up to the namesake of the legendary King of the Britons.
And of course, my favorite of all, Kiritsugu Emiya. The relationship he shares with his wife, Irisviel von Einzbern, and their daughter, Illya; the motivations for why he does what he does unfolding as the show progresses, culminating in him finding redemption in at least being able to save the life of his eventual-adopted son, Shirou from the War’s fiery collateral damage at its climax; the epic rivalry between him and Kirei Kotomine; the way his methods clash with Saber’s chivalric values; the fact that he gets all of the best qualities of what I love so much about Takashi Takeuchi’s character designs. (Which is another way of saying he’s drawn so appealingly to me that he’s made it to #1 on my list of husbandos. That’s right, I said it!) The whole story and arc of his character is one of the, if not the, most poignant things I have ever seen in an any form of media. Never has a character made me physically ache at the thought of everything he went through, combined with the bittersweetness of his and Irisviel’s love story, as well as that of his love for Illya.
It’s basically everything I’ve ever wanted in a story’s emotional core or emotional foundation, and definitely served as a turning point in terms of my own writing, particularly seeing as how it’s a feels dynamic I’ve wanted to write for years. So thank you for that, Type-Moon: somehow, some way, much in the way that the universe miraculously weaves together a human being by a near infinite number of factors, you’ve managed to craft my own personal Holy Grail of an emotional story component.
Indeed, since the discovery of the Kiritsugu x Irisviel ship (an underappreciated gem depending on who you talk to), I haven’t found any ships to exceed that level of emotional perfection. I’ve found ones that come close, even ones that equal it, but thus far, in my eyes, Kiri x Iri is unrivaled, and probably never will be.
Sadly, this scene was not in the anime. Just in the Realta Nua re-release of the Fate/Stay Night VN game for PSP. 😦
In terms of ones that have equalled it though, one of those came unsurprisingly from another Type-Moon work, the aforementioned Kara No Kyoukai, and its main romantic core of the delightfully darkly complicated relationship of Ryougi Shiki and Kokutou Mikiya. That was another pleasant surprise. I had already fallen hard for Fate/Zero and everything it had to offer, but I’d heard of Kara No Kyoukai before that. It had been on my to-watch list for a while, but I’d say that learning that it takes place in same universe as Fate, the Nasuverse that is, it sort of drove me to get my hands on it a little sooner.

My first copy was, admittedly, one of those many, many bootlegs floating around eBay (hem, hem), but at long last (especially since I got a bluray player (FINALLY) for this past Christmas), I was able to purchase the beautiful bluray boxset release of all seven movies, plus the special edition bluray for the Recalled Out Summer extras, because why not? Sure, again, the latter works basically as a sort of sweet but small desert to a large delicious main course, but that sweetness is worth it regardless, because it’s sweet, especially when you get treated to sweet strawberries in that sweet strawberry Hagan-Dasz ice cream of an extra story of things like seeing that (SPOILERS) Shiki and Mikiya eventually have an adorable little daughter named Mana, who for her limited screen time, does indeed seem to be the perfect blend of her parents. Plus it’s just great to see something so normal yet wondrous result from a romance that if not for a saving grace or two, probably would’ve ended in bloody tragedy.

So yeah, I’ve come to learn that when it comes to Type-Moon, where romance and personal relationships come in, the writing nine times out of ten shines (with the first true failure to connect with me coming in Fate/Extra Encore, and even then, because of the production studio behind it, it at least benefited me with flashbacks triggered by similar imagery used in another one of my favorite anime, Madoka Magica).
Again, sorry I haven’t been able to get into Tsukihime, but I’m not completely blind. There’s that anime adaptation that doesn’t exist ha, ha. In all seriousness though, I’m familiar with the basic premise, and some of the plot points seem to overlap other Type-Moon works. Plus there’s Wikipedia.
And Carnival Phantasm! Which is a little series Type-Moon produced as a celebration of their ten-year anniversary, something to reward the fans for being fans, and while I was at a disadvantage where a lot of the Tsukihime material came up, I still enjoyed it well enough, going on what I knew. But seeing as how Fate is arguably the most successful Type-Moon franchise, the ratio of Fate to Tsukihime material was almost 2:1. Which was awesome, as I basically got to see Type-Moon not only poke fun at itself and parodize its own characters, but actually give a sunnier if brief existence for some of these characters (because quite a lot of Type-Moon characters’ actual lives are SUCKY to put it lightly).
Tumblr media
Screenshot of the Carnival Phantasm OP
For as sprawling as the lore of Type-Moon’s stories have grown, particulary with their Fate/Grand Order online game which seems to explore every single available Heroic Spirit that can be summoned as a Servant for your very own Holy Grail War, and the events of which have also been getting adaptations (the most recent exploring Gilgamesh’s past, and that has me intrigued if I’m being honest), there’re so many buried gems to find in there in terms of character and ideas and thoughts on life. Kara No Kyoukai in particular tends to philosophize quite a bit and contemplate things like reality, time, identity, balance, building a foundation for the world as a whole according to the Nasuverse. A bit like comic books, Fate in particular is one of those things where it’s debatable anymore where one should start, some answers being more correct than others, but once you find a place where you dip your toe in and get accustomed to the water, it’s easy to get wrapped up in what it’s various stories centered around the Holy Grail War are concerned.
I love stuff like that, and I’ve been inspired in my own work not just by Type-Moon on its own, but studio ufotable as well, which seems to be the ultimate Fate adaptation machine. Sure other studios do some of the lesser known titles (again like Extra), but ufotable got the reboot of Fate/Stay Night‘s second route, Unlimited Bladeworks, the adaptation of Fate/Zero before that, the film trilogy adaptation of the final Fate/Stay Night route Heaven’s Feel, and even the lighthearted quasi-AU Today’s Menu for Emiya Family, which is the Stay Night story if it was taken over by a cooking show, almost like Carnival Phantasm but not a parody, and still acknowledging the darker parts of the Fate universe, if distantly. Something about the care ufotable puts into their characterizations, along with the animation and art quality and the awesome voice-acting for the seiyuu and English VAs that end up getting casted (although I’m aware where the English casts are concerned that comes from the western licensing company that picks it up and not actually studio ufotable).
And then with Kara No Kyoukai, also made by ufotable, you get an expanse on this universe and its mechanics. It’s a bit vague on how magic works in both this and Fate, but I’ve actually found the idea of basing fantastic elements in the real word fascinating, not urban fantasy but something more than that. And the concepts it brings up. Like people having these things called “origins”, a certain trait from which their soul or being originated from within the Akashic Record, or “The Route” that once “awakened” in a person causes that trait to consume them. So if a person’s origin is “to consume”, and that’s awakened in that person (this requires a mage and the consent of the person who’s origin is being awakened), then they’ll say…embrace their desire to slaughter people en masse and then literally consume them afterward. Like this guy.
Tumblr media
Ryougi Shiki vs. Shirazumi Lio – get him, Shiki, get that crazy S.O.B.!
Yeah, that’s the other thing. Apart from the things like origins and The Root or “Akashic Record” (which from what I’ve gathered is like the source of “everything” with a capital E: life, the universe, everything, and no, it’s not the number 42), Type-Moon’s world is what I like to call “beautifully dark”. Not a particularly unique thing, but either way, Type-Moon pulls it off well. There are moments of levity, but there are also very grotesque and disturbing goings-on underneath all that beauty, and even those things are beautiful in their own way. Sure, there are things like vampires or “dead apostles” floating around, and there’s a fair bit of bloody death, but then you’ve got corrupted Heroic Spirits who steal your heart and drink the blood from it like they’re squeezing the juice from a prickly pear, eye-powers that allow for a person to twist anything they want with their mind (including living human bodies), tentacle monsters crushing small children, souls jammed inside puppet bodies that start to fall apart to reveal their meaty, gear-riddled interiors, and life-sucking, magic-giving worms that consume the bodies of their hosts from within (okay we’ll file that under “beautiful grotesque”). And then there’s the aforementioned bloodthirsty killer whose origin is to consume and thus consumes the corpses of his victims (yeah, that Shirazumi Lio guy, see above, he does that)…when he doesn’t do weird stuff like contort them and mark them with the yin-and-yang symbol.
Just to list a few.
The name for Kara No Kyoukai in English is usually The Garden of Sinners, though Kara No Kyoukai literally translated actually means “The Boundary of Emptiness”. But a garden full of sinners is apt for one of the titles in the Type-Moon universe. In some ways that and things like Fate almost transcend storytelling when adapted well, and with godly animation and music (both Fate/Zero and Kara No Kyoukai‘s OSTs were composed by the incomparable Yuki Kajiura, who’s practically the authority on darkly beautiful and epic themes) to back up the engaging storylines.
And speaking of Yuki Kajiura, I’d like to take this moment to not only give props to her work with Fate adaptations, but Hideyuki Fukusawa as well, the main OST composer for the Unlimited Bladeworks reboot, as well as Kenji Kawai, who composed the OST for the original 2006 Fate–that adaptation might have its drawbacks, but that OST does wonders and is seriously underrated, especially considering this is the guy who composed the OST for the original Ghost in the Shell film.

Nothing is perfect, but nevertheless, this is a fictional world that I have fallen irrevocably in love with, much in the same way I did with Harry Potter, though I’ve grown since then. And I just wanted to extend and express that appreciation and love to something that has inspired me and the way I approach my writing going forward so incredibly.
So, thank you, Type-Moon, for the awesomeness you offer, in all its forms. You have my most sincere and utmost praise and respect. I hope that even when the last of the Fate routes, Heaven’s Feel, has finally received its full and deserved adaptation in the trilogy of films, that this is not the last the world will see of your wonderful content. You have more than earned your loyal and adoring fan base ten times over. You are amazing! ❤
Love Letter to Type-Moon Man, there is nothing that puts me in a fouler mood than when I let my own personal procrastination demon get the better of me on a perfectly free Saturday to the point that I don't start getting any writing done until after 2 in the afternoon.

Well Insert I'mm gonna help a brother out ℧ I command Irisviel to let Self-Insert fuck you with both his dicks.
Time to use those Command Seals! Send ℧ and a command and my muse will be forced to obey!
Selfie: “...well, here goes nothing and here comes a virgin!”He was clearly nervous but holding just about everything back due to the circumstances
Sure, he himself had two dicks, one unable to go down, differing in size with one being five and some and the other seven inches But due to the circumstances, Irisviel was cum addicted with a three foot dick of her own
Still, a futanari MILF practically begging him to fuck her? Even if he didn’t have the perpetual hardness, he probably would have been perpetually hard anyway
Irisviel: “...are you just going to monologue or...?”
Selfie: “Ah! I forgot in my fear! ...though...”
And so, he went for her dick first, grabbing hold of it as she let out a small moan, an almost equally large amount of precum leaking out from the tip of the dick in response And then he seemed to stroke it, though it was more a guiding motion, in the process drawing nearer and nearer until being face to head with the dick, giving a small lick and making Irisviel let out a larger confused moaning sound at the rather strange turn of eventsIt soon made sense though, her mouth opening further as she clenched her hands to the floor to get a hold of something, anything as the dick was bent over into her mouth
Selfie: “Good girl~ Now then...” He tried to sound sultry, but it only came out in a weird tone still nervous; it was his first time after all and the longer dick reached brushing distance, sightly teasing Irisviel’s anus and just about making both of them quiver in anticipation
The dick entered her soon enough, her mouth working lustfully at sucking herself off, both of Selfie’s hands still on her dick, shaking slightly in an accidental pleasuring manner Though it was a very slow entry, Irisviel’s ass getting spread at an almost painfully slow pace until—Selfie: “I’ll only get to do this once!” It was more of a hope than a fact as this was a really weird set of circumstances unlikely to happen againAnd so he slammed himself forward as much as he could, his hips slamming against Irisviel, the dick in her ass going in all the way to the base while the smaller one missed the entrance to her pussy, instead slipping against in and brushing against her clit as they both moaned out
Selfie let go of Iri’s dick, instead moving his hands to her breasts and squeezing down on them to grip himself to reality; Irisviel’s ass was of course tight and just being in it seemed to be already too much and threatening to bring him to orgasm for the simple fact of enteringIrisviel however failed to have the same hold on herself, her dick suddenly cumming down her throat and giving her no choice but to cum or choke on it, strings of white leaving from the corners of her mouth and painting her chin and upper neck in white as her eyes further glazed over with lust
He pulled out slightly, then more and more, fighting the ass as it tightened further and further around him to prevent escape but still giving him enough leeway due to the afterglow of Irisviel’s orgasm relaxing her enoughWhen just over half the dick was out of her, Selfie reaimed the other dick, already splitting her slit and just barely moving into her quivering pussy
Selfie: “Nope! I can’t do this!”It was far too much for a first time, his hands moving away from Irisviel’s breasts and causing her to have a vague look of worry and fear that she’d be denied further funAnd then the hands landed on her shoulders instead, pulling her up at the same time as he thrust back in, slamming his body into her again and impaling her mouth further along her dick, a clear outline of it forming in her throat from suddenly being made to deepthroat herself He then yelled out, his body spasming as he came inside both her holes, a suppressed moan almost sounding out from his mouth from the whole thing, but he never was especially loud during his alone sessions and it ended up helping in sex it seems, even if he did last a minute at best before he shot Not that Irisviel minded
He started, or rather continued if you count the orgasmic spasms, to pump in and out of her, breathing heavily in pleasure while rotating her shoulders, further making her suck herself off with his entire attention on her head and the dick inside her mouth, her swinging breasts just below and within his field of vision His strength was failing him however as the afterglow relaxed him too much and almost to sleep, but he couldn’t just stopInstead he slowly lowered her down, pushing himself on her as his thrusting slowed down, placing his head on her hard dick as if it was a pillow before sticking out his tongue and licking the top of the dick, around Irisivel’s headHe was taller than her, but it barely mattered in this case
Irisviel’s legs locked around his hips in an almost understanding manner, pushing them into her again to make him pick up the pace as their faces met and soon enough ended up kissing with the dick between their lips, effectively giving her a double sided blowjob while she was getting fucked But they were clearly both enjoying it, his strength slowly returning again from sheer lust and willpower to keep going one way or another, her help proving to be a major factor in it
Selfie seriously questioned if there was any better way to lose his virginity than this

To Regain What I Lost Chapter 6 Part 1
Night had fallen. A chill had rose in the air as the mist formed in the forest around the Einzbern's Castle.
Near the entrance of the forest, Caster appeared from a ripple in the air, as she entered the forest Caster checked her sides to see if Gilles de Reis had already appeared.
'Have we been noticed yet?' Caster asked.
Sae and Yae appeared beside her, now dressed in a white Kimono with a red obi.
"It doesn't look like it," Sae replied, as she held her hand to her forehead, "It seems like they're distracted by a debriefing from Sabers true Master," she added.
"True Master?" Caster echoed.
"Oh yes," Sae said, "I meant to mention it earlier. Aoi overheard Saber and Irisviel talking to each other after we left yesterday,"Sae informed her mistress.
Caster hummed in acknowledgement to Sae's information.
'So, the silver hair woman who was with Saber the other time was a decoy so her true master could work in the shadows'
It was against the rules of the Grail War for masters to fight each other, that's what servants were for, if Caster had learnt anything from her life it was that rules were always broken.
Caster began to carefully move around the forest, looking for the place where Gilles would kill the first child. The place wasn't that far away from where she entered the forest, Caster jumped up into a nearby tree then she set up a bonded field to conceal herself from anyone who would pass her. Caster quietly waited for Gilles to appear.
'Gilles has arrived in the forest,' a familiar whispered through Caster's mind.
'Won't be long,'
Nine minutes later a child came running through the trees, a couple of paces behind the child was Gilles de Reis, the look on Gilles' face angered Caster, it was calm, like he was out on a leisurely walk. Then in an instant Gilles demeanour change, he lurched at the boy, reaching out for him. Caster quickly pulled out some hair then jumped at Gilles.
"Gilles de Reis!" Caster screamed at the man as she attacked him.
Gilles fumbled back from Casters attack flailing his arms around as he moved, the attack brushed pass Gilles, ripping the side of his clothes. Caster turned away from Gilles and sprinted to the boy that he was chasing. She scooped him up into her arms then she sent a rush of mana to her legs to aid her in jumping back into the trees.
The boy in her arms began to panic and started thrashing around, Caster immediately stroked the boys' hair whilst whispering calming words to him.
"Everything is fine now," Caster began to whisper, "I won't hurt you or let you get hurt." she continued.
The boy stopped thrashing around then stared at Caster, she in return gave him a soft smile, the boys' tears started fall again but this time in relief, he grabbed hold of Casters shirt and cried his heart out. Caster just let him cry it out, rubbing his back and whispering encouraging words to him.
The moment was ruined by the madman below them.
"You witch!" Gilles screamed, "Have you come to ruin my moment with Jeanne!?" He screeched.
"Your moment?" She echoed. "By your moment, do you mean killing innocent children! Don't think that Jeanne would like that!" Casters anger spilled over. She held the boy closer to her as she spoke.
"How would you know what Jeanne wants! You are a witch who knows nothing," Gilles bellowed.
"Your right, I don't know anything about Jeanne d'Arc," Caster confessed, "But, a woman who wanted to free her countryman from the English, so they could have a future, that kind of person wouldn't want children to be killed in her name," she expressed.
Her words seemed to enrage Gilles more, he grabbed his head then pulling out his hair.
"Be quite! You witch!" The madman screamed. Gilles reached into his cloak to pull out Prelati's spellbook. He open up the book and began to summon many demons. Caster jumped back to the tree behind her.
Caster looked down at boy in her arms. Tears trickle down his cheeks, he was scared but it won't be long before until he was safe.
"Just wait a little bit longer. I'll have you in safety soon," Caster whispered to the boy. "Just hold on tight,"
Caster jumped from the tree in mid air she pulled out a bottle from her bag. She turned and thrown the bottle at Gilles and his demons.
"Leig seached!" Caster yelled.
The bottle exploded, surrounding the area in smoke. Caster used the smoke to put some distant between them. Once there was about five to seven meters between them, Caster jumped down to the ground and began to run.
The boy looked up at Caster to see her topaz eyes were glowing. The boy was amaze at the pretty site but his eyes drawn away as saw one of the demons about to attack.
The boy didn't even need to yell as Caster perfectly dodge it and following it up with attack. One demon decide to jump at Caster but she quickly span around slice the demon into three. Where the demon had been cut the wounds began to burn away.
Caster shifted the boy in her arms as he continued to cling to her.
"We're nearly there," Caster whispered.
"Where?" the boy's small voice asked.
A demon from behind launch another strike but Caster didn't care as it just brushed by her, ripping her shirt. Caster the jumped back into the tree tops. The demons went to follow but were immdendty cut down by the King of Knights.
"Are you alright Caster?" Saber asked, not looking back at her.
"I'm fine," Caster said as she put the boy on the ground. She wiped away the boy's tears from his face. "Everything going to be fine now," she told him. "I'm going to hand you over to my friend and she going to take you to police," she informed him, giving him a soft smile as she spook.
The boy's eyes widen at the hope of finally be able to get out of this hellish nightmare. Caster smiled at the hope in his eyes then turned away from him and place her hand on the ground in front of them.
"Come fore from the land of the dead, manor of eternal sleep open your doors, to allow this innocent soul to pass through," Caster recited her spell.
A door formed in the air. It slide opened to revile Kirie waiting painterly. She smile at the boy before she offered him her hand.
"Come on. It's time to go home," Kirie told him.
The boy hesitated for a moment before he left Caster's. side, he took Kirie's hand. Kirie stepped back into the house that lay behind the door.
With her first task do Caster to eliminate Gilles de Rais.
Caster join Saber's side, who hadn't moved from her place.
"You have ruin everything!" Gilles screeched at Caster when came.
"Yeah, it's seem I'm good at that," Caster deadpan.
Saber briefly flicks her eyes to Caster before she force them back to the madman. Both women stood still waiting for Gilles de Rise to make the first move. He let a scream of frustration as none of his plans had failed.
"I will make you pay! You witch!" he threatened Caster.
The demon lunch themselves as Saber and Caster. Saber easy slash though them whist Caster ripped through to middle of the demons but there was still about fithteen demons between them and Gilles de Rais. The two servants ready themselves to attack the last of demons in front Gilles the demons from Saber regenerated. This turns of events wasn't façade.
"What is this?" Saber question.
"These are the type of demons that will keep of demons that will keep of regenerated as long as steady mana supply," Caster explained. "Unfortunately for us his Nobel Phantasm, the grimoire he's holding has large mana stored in it. It will last a while,"
Saber scanned the demons surrounding them, her eyes stopped on demons that Caster had defeated. They seem to to not be regenerating, actually where they had been cut it was burning.
"I guess you already have a plan?" Saber queried.
"Yes," Caster replied. "We need to destroy that grimoire then he been left defenceless," she clarified.
Gilles laughed at Caster's plan in his madness he couldn't see a way for the two servant winning against him and his endless army of demon.
"Hahaha! You wouldn't be able to touch me witch," he bellowed.
The two servant ignored his rambling lunch themselves at him. Gilles stumbled back to put some distant between them then processed to summon more demons. Saber and Caster hacked away at the demons with no success. Their back away to figure out a new plan.
"This is getting us no where," Saber commented.
"The only way to end this battle is to destroy the grimoire,"
Saber gritted her teeth. It was stalemate. It didn't look like there was any way for them to win. Saber look back at Caster knowing she likely had a plan.
"What's the rest of the plan?" Saber asked.
"He can't summon demons if he's tied up," Caster vaguely hinted. 'Are you nearly finished?' She telepathy asked Kirie.
'Nearly. Just one more rope,' Kirie replied.
With no other word the female servants continued to fight the demons until Caster could execute her plan. Saber and Caster tried keep on top of all the demons was tougher the needed to be, both servants couldn't use the full extent of their power. Saber due to her injury, Caster reason was she didn't want to hit Saber.
'I'm ready,' Kirie signalled.
Caster slightly turned her head and nodded to Saber. Saber notice Caster's signal and took a step back. Caster moved to be directly in front of Gilles. She join her hands together, the hair on her fingers intertwine. Caster flick of her hands towards Gilles and his demons.
"Now Kirie!" Caster shouted.
Suddenly ropes wrapped around Gilles' neck, his mid torso, arms and legs. The ropes restrict Gilles' movement, making hard for him summon any more demons.
Caster strike in the middle of demons then untwine her hands, moving them quickly from each other, ripping through the demons causing a opening for Saber. She dated past Caster through the mass of demon bodies. She rise a sword ready to strike Gilles. Saber slice through the grimoire destroying it and damaging the right side of Gilles' body. With the grimoire destroyed any remaining demon busted into blood.
Gilles struggled against the ropes holding him in place. Saber went to make one last swing at Gilles de Rais to end his temporary existence but it seem fate had different plans as. Gilles dematerialise away.
Saber growled that Gilles cowardly escape, Caster gritted her teeth as she fail to see Gilles escape.
"Do not worry," Saber told her. Saber moved to stand in front of Caster. "We will defect the other Caster," She tried. To reassured Caster but didn't make a different to her as fail to finish Gilles. Caster stared at the ground feeling disappoint, she then felt something been place on her head. Looking through her bang Caster looked at King of Knights patted her head. A blush covered her cheeks.
