IRANIAN LEADERSHIP SAYS REVENGE IS COMING FOR "ISRAEL"
📹 Definitive Revenge: a video published by Iranian news outlet, PressTV through their official Telegram channel.
In remarks made during a meeting Wednesday in a speech following his leading of Eid al-Fitr prayers, Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that “Consulates and embassies of any country are regarded as the soil of that country. When they attack our consulate, it means that they have attacked our soil”
“The evil regime made a mistake and it should be punished and will be punished," the Iranian leader added.
“In this year’s Ramadan, the bloody events in Gaza embittered Muslims across the world," the Iranian leader went on, "God’s curse on the occupying Zionist regime which not only failed to stop the killing of women, children and defenseless people during this holy month but also did increase the killings.”
Speaking of Western support for the Israeli entity, Khamenei said “Western governments, over the years, have always helped and supported the Zionist regime, and backed it in international bodies, and provided all kinds of aid to this regime. They should have prevented the regime’s crimes during this disaster. But Western governments did not fulfill their duty.”
Khamenei went on point to Western governments' hypocrisy by claiming to support Gazans but in practice, not only failing to prevent the Israeli regime's war crimes, but actively helping it, “especially the arrogant and cruel governments of the US and the UK," and described Western governments as having revealed the "evil nature" of Western societies.

The Assad regime is gone. Sadynaya Prison is liberated, and the depth of the Assad family’s depravity is becoming clear.
While the West seems to hold out hope that the transition will lead to something better for the Syrian people, the saying in the Middle East goes, “The enemy of my enemy can also be my enemy.”
The incoming warlords are the HTS — a Sunni, ISIS-adjacent, Taliban-adjacent, Turkish armed and funded organization on the US and UK terrorist lists. If you Google them, the stories would be accompanied by graphic, hideous videos of revenge killings. I am choosing not to link to the horrific murders here, but you can find them online, and just know that they are a tiny fraction of what’s out there.
HTS leaders and militants said, upon entering Damascus, “This is the heart of the Abode of Islam. This is Damascus, the [land of] Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, the land of Islam … This is the camp of the Muslims. From here we are coming to Jerusalem. Be patient, oh people of Gaza. Say Allah Akbar!”
One fighter added: “Just like that, Allah willing, we will enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque [in Medina], and the Kaaba. We will enter these [mosques], Allah willing.”
In this context, Israel has offered the world a gift, decimating the Russian-Iranian arsenal Assad left behind before HTS can get its hands on it.
The first IDF strikes were on Syrian chemical weapons depots and “research facilities.” (You know, the ones President Obama declared 96 percent destroyed in 2014.) Then, according to @IDF on X:
Israeli Navy missile ships struck the Al-Bayda and Latakia ports, where 15 Syrian naval vessels were docked. They took out dozens of sea-to-sea missiles with ranges of 80–190 km. Each missile carried significant explosive payloads posing threats to civilian and military maritime vessels in the area.
The Air Force conducted more than 350 strikes on targets including anti-aircraft batteries, Syrian Air Force airfields, and dozens of weapons production sites, neutralizing Scud missiles, cruise missiles, surface-to-sea, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles, UAVs, fighter jets, attack helicopters, radars, tanks, hangars, and more.
The IDF conducted air strikes on 130 ground assets in Syria, including weapons depots, military structures, launchers, and firing positions.
No civilians or homes — or anything besides destructive weapons — were targeted.

Joint ODNI, FBI, and CISA Statement
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ODNI News Release No. 29-24 November 4, 2024
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released the following statement:
“Since our statement on Friday, the IC has been observing foreign adversaries, particularly Russia, conducting additional influence operations intended to undermine public confidence in the integrity of U.S. elections and stoke divisions among Americans. The IC expects these activities will intensify through election day and in the coming weeks, and that foreign influence narratives will focus on swing states.
Russia is the most active threat. Influence actors linked to Russia in particular are manufacturing videos and creating fake articles to undermine the legitimacy of the election, instill fear in voters regarding the election process, and suggest Americans are using violence against each other due to political preferences, judging from information available to the IC. These efforts risk inciting violence, including against election officials. We anticipate Russian actors will release additional manufactured content with these themes through election day and in the days and weeks after polls close.
The IC assesses that Russian influence actors recently posted and amplified an article falsely claiming that U.S. officials across swing states plan to orchestrate election fraud using a range of tactics, such as ballot stuffing and cyber attacks.
Russian influence actors also manufactured and amplified a recent video that falsely depicted an interview with an individual claiming election fraud in Arizona, which involved creating fake overseas ballots and changing voter rolls to favor Vice President Kamala Harris. The Arizona Secretary of State has already refuted the video’s claim as false.
Iran also remains a significant foreign influence threat to U.S. elections. As noted in a prior update, we have assessed that Iran has conducted malicious cyber activities to compromise former President Trump’s campaign. Iranian influence actors may also seek to create fake media content intended to suppress voting or stoke violence, as they have done in past election cycles. We previously reported that Iran also remains determined to seek revenge against select former US officials whom it views as culpable for the death of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) Commander Soleimani in January 2020. It has repeatedly highlighted former President Donald Trump among its priority targets for retribution.
In light of continued influence efforts by foreign adversaries and the increasing volume of inauthentic content online, CISA recommends voters seek out information from trusted, official sources, in particular, state and local election officials.
The FBI and CISA encourage campaigns and election infrastructure stakeholders to report information concerning suspicious or criminal activity to their local Election Crime Coordinators via FBI field office (www.fbi.gov/fieldoffices), by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), or online at ic3.gov. Cyber incidents impacting election infrastructure can also be reported to CISA by calling 1-844-Say-CISA (1-844-729-2472), emailing [email protected], or reporting online at cisa.gov/report. Election infrastructure stakeholders and the public can find additional resources about how to protect against cyber and physical threats at CISA’s #PROTECT2024 (https://www.cisa.gov/protect2024).”

Iran's number of executions reached a record high in 2024.
According to the recently published annual report
on the death penalty in Iran by the Iran Human Rights Organization (IHR) and the French NGO Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort (ECPM), at least 975 people were executed in 2024.
This marks a 17% increase year-on-year and the highest number in over 20 years.
"The death penalty serves as the basis for many human rights violations in Iran," Mahmud Amiri-Moghaddam, head of the Norway-based IHR, told DW.
"It is used as an instrument to oppress and intimidate society," he said.
Iranian courts impose the death penalty to punish those found guilty of serious crimes such as murder, and also for killings committed in self-defense.
Increasingly, also political activists receive this verdict.
"The regime is taking advantage of the lack of international attention to carry out as many executions as possible," Amiri-Moghaddam observed.
For example, in the last quarter of 2024, when tensions between Iran and Israel sky-rocketed, this was particularly evident: As many as six people were executed every day during this period.
"The high number of executions in Iran is deeply disturbing," also UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk warned in late January.
According to his office, around 40 people were executed in one week in December 2024.
Also the number of female executions reached its highest level since 2007, with 31 cases recorded in 2024.
Some of the women executed had killed their husbands to defend themselves against rape or after being forced into marriage.
One woman killed her husband to protect her daughter from sexual abuse, Liz Throssell, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Office, told news agencies.
Calls for an end to the death penalty
Renowned human rights activists, including Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi, who is currently on prison leave for health reasons, have repeatedly called for protests against the rising number of executions.
In a video obtained by DW, activists gathered in front of Tehran's notorious Evin prison on February 19.
With this rally, the activists demonstrated their solidarity with those in prison who protest against the death penalty on a weekly basis.
A few months ago, prisoners launched the "Tuesdays without executions" campaign to protest against executions once a week.
Mahmud Amiri-Moghaddam dubbed this movement as a significant social change. "For the first time in Iran's history, prisoners are leading a protest movement against the death penalty. This could be the beginning of a broader social movement," he said.
In addition to Narges Mohammadi, other prominent figures joined the protest.
In a joint statement, human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, Iran's famous lawyer, and religious scholar Sedighe Vasmaghi strongly condemned the death sentences against female political prisoners. "These sentences are a clear revenge on the protest movement with the slogan 'Women, Life, Freedom,'" the women wrote.
A total of 228 Iranian lawyers criticized proceedings against the Iranian activists Pakhsan Azizi, Varisheh Moradi (Mirzaei) and Sharifeh Mohammadi in an open letter to the head of Iran's judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei as grossly unfair.
Those three women were arrested for their participation in political protests and sentenced to death in fast-track trials.
In the letter obtained by DW, the signatories emphasize that they are not only acting as lawyers, but also out of human responsibility.
"These sentences not only violate Islamic and humanitarian values, but also Iran's international obligations to the right to life and to a fair trial," they stated.
'Death penalty at the center of diplomatic negotiations'
Therefore, the human rights watchdogs Iran Human Rights Organization (IHR) and the French NGO Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort (ECPM) call on the international community to prioritize diplomatic talks on executions in Iran.
"Liberal democratic states must condemn this wave of executions and support the growing resistance in Iran against the death penalty," they said.
"We need to find short and long-term ways to put pressure on the Iranian government and bring about changes in the law," also IHR's Amiri-Moghaddam told DW.
The high number of executions for drug offenses is also causing widespread concern.
Of the 975 executions in 2024, 503 involved drug-related offenses.
However, despite this alarming trend, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) continues to work with Iranian authorities.
In turn, human rights organizations demand that the UNODC step up its efforts to ensure that drug-related crimes are no longer punishable by death or that the UN body ends its cooperation with the Islamic Republic.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN
October 7, 2023
HEATHER COX RICHARDSON
Early this morning, Eastern Daylight Time, Hamas militants broke out of the Gaza Strip, where approximately 2 million Palestinians live, largely unable to leave because of the extensive restrictions Israel has imposed. They pushed as far as 15 miles (about 24 kilometers) into Israel, taking over at least 22 towns and firing at least 2,500 rockets. They have killed at least 250 Israelis, wounded more than 1,500 others, and taken hostages. The attack was a surprise, having an effect on Israelis that observers are comparing to the effect of 9-11 on people in the U.S.
Hamas is a group of Palestinian militants that make up one of the two major political parties in the Palestinian Territories, which consist of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Hamas was established in 1987 and gained control of the Gaza Strip in 2007. Since then, Hamas and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have periodically exchanged fire. In May 2021 that tension turned into an 11-day conflict that has simmered along the security fence between Israel and Gaza ever since.
In a video address to Israelis, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “We are at war and we will win it.” Israelis have killed at least 232 people and wounded more than 1,700 in retaliation for the attack. He promised the Israeli military will “take revenge for this black day” but that it “will take time.” He warned that Israel would turn “into ruins” the places where Hamas operates, and told residents of Gaza to “get out of there now,” although they have no way to leave.
There are serious questions about how the Netanyahu government did not see this attack coming. It was either a spectacular intelligence failure or a security failure or both, and it strikes at the heart of the Netanyahu government’s promise to keep the country safe. At the same time, the attack is making Israelis rally together. The hundreds of thousands of Israelis who have been protesting Netanyahu’s strengthening hold on the government have said they would come together in this dangerous moment.
A number of countries, including the U.S., have designated Hamas a terrorist organization. It is backed by Iran, which provides money and weapons, and last month high-level Iranian officials apparently met with Hamas leaders in Lebanon. Today Iran praised Hamas for the attack. Iran has opposed the recent talks between Saudi Arabia and Israel about normalizing relations. Since the decline of Iraq as an independent power, Iran has viewed the combination of Israel, its main enemy, with Saudi Arabia, its main rival for power, as the greatest threat to its security in the region.
Iran and Russia are allies whose relationship has strengthened considerably as the Russian war against Ukraine has pushed the two increasingly isolated countries together to resist Western sanctions. Former Russian president and deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said the attack was “expected,” and used it to accuse the U.S.
The Middle East, rather than Ukraine, was “what Washington and its allies should be busy with,” he said. “But instead of actively working at Palestinian-Israeli settlement,” he went on, “these morons have interfered with us, and are providing the neo-Nazis with full-scale aid, pitting the two closely related peoples against each other. What can stop America’s manic obsession to incite conflicts all over the planet?”
Today’s assessment of the Russian offensive in Ukraine by the Institute for the Study of War said: “The Kremlin is already [exploiting] and will likely continue to exploit the Hamas attacks in Israel to advance several information operations intended to reduce US and Western support and attention to Ukraine.”
Both Saudi Arabia and Qatar have contextualized the attack by calling out Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people but also are calling for restraint and for the violence to stop.
India, too, has expressed solidarity with Israel.
In the U.S., the administration suggested that it sees a larger hand behind this attack and is working with partners and allies to contain the violence. In a statement, President Biden said the United States “unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel.” It went on with a warning—“The United States warns against any other party hostile to Israel seeking advantage in this situation”—and a threat: “My Administration’s support for Israel’s security is rock solid and unwavering.”
Biden told reporters that he has been in contact with the King of Jordan, has spoken with members of Congress, and is in close touch with Netanyahu. He says he has directed the national security team to engage with their Israeli counterparts—“military to military, intelligence to intelligence,...diplomat to diplomat—to make sure Israel has what it needs.” He has also directed his team “to remain in constant contact with leaders throughout the region, including Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, the UAE, as well as with our European partners and the Palestinian Authority.”
Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke today with the presidents of Israel and the Palestinian Authority, which controls the West Bank, urging Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas to condemn the attack and to work to restore calm. He also spoke with the foreign ministers of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye, as well as the European Union’s High Representative for foreign affairs. Blinken urged the EU, Türkiye, and the so-called Quint countries—France, Germany, Italy, the U.K., and the U.S.—to continue to engage on the issue, and he promised to stay in close contact with all the parties he talked to today.
In the United States, Republicans used the moment to attack President Biden. In an echo of a similar lie from Trump, who falsely claimed the Obama administration had paid $150 billion to Iran for a nuclear agreement, they took to social media in a flood to say that the U.S. had funded the attack on Israel because it had recently “paid” $6 billion to Iran.
The statement was wrong across the board: the U.S did not pay Iran anything. It helped to ease restrictions on Iranian money that had been frozen in South Korea, enabling Qatar to take control of the money and use it for humanitarian aid. In any case, the money has not yet been transferred. Still, it was a surprising decision to attack the U.S. government at a time when the country would normally be united behind Israel.
Nonetheless, the attack has made the national implications of Republicans’ own troubles even more clear. In times of crisis, the executive branch briefs the so-called Gang of Eight on classified intelligence matters. The Gang of Eight is made up of the leaders of each party in the House and the Senate, and the leaders of each party in each chamber’s intelligence committee. But without a House Speaker, this leading intelligence group is missing a key member. It is not clear if the acting speaker, Representative Patrick McHenry (R-NC), who was tapped by former speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and not elected, can participate.
The lack of a speaker is a problem. Although House committees can still meet, the House can’t do much. McHenry is responsible mostly for overseeing the election of a new speaker; he does not have the authority to bring bills or even resolutions to the floor.

Iran vows revenge after Israel kills another Hezbollah leader–Israel may want revenge as documents tie Iran with Hamas attack of October 7, 2023; What about the Abraham Accords?
COGwriter
Iran again says Israel has taken steps it will avenge:
Iran Militia, Hamas Vow Revenge After Israel Kills Hezbollah Leader | ‘Won’t Remain Silent’
The Axis of Resistance breathed fire after Israel assassinates Hezbollah media chief Mohammad Afif in an air strike on Sunday. Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Resistance in Iraq mourn the death of Afif and said his death won’t silence the voice of the resistance. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/videos/international/iran-militia-hamas-vow-revenge-after-israel-kills-hezbollah-leader-wont-remain-silent/videoshow/115406379.cms
Last month, Reuters reported the following:
Iran says it will ‘use all available tools’ to respond to Israel’s attack
October 28, 2024
Tehran will “use all available tools” to respond to Israel’s weekend attack on military targets in Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday.
Iran previously played down Israel’s air attack on Saturday, saying it caused only limited damage, while U.S. President Joe Biden called for a halt to escalation that has raised fears of an all-out conflagration in the Middle East.
Speaking at a weekly televised news conference, Baghaei said: “(Iran) will use all available tools to deliver a definite and effective response to the Zionist regime (Israel)”.
The nature of Iran’s response depends on the nature of the Israeli attack, Baghaei added, without elaborating.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that Iranian officials should determine how best to demonstrate Iran’s power to Israel, adding that the Isreli attack should “neither be downplayed nor exaggerated”./blockquote> Is Iran preparing for likely destruction to parts of Israel? What about great damage coming to Jerusalem which is prophesied?
While Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah, etc. are upset with Israel, more in Israel may be upset enough against Iran to support another attack soon.
Why?
Notice the following:
Documents found in Gaza detail Iranian sponsorship ahead of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack
Iran provided advance funding for a 2023 war between Hamas and Israel, Hamas planned joint “infiltration actions” with Hezbollah, according to a report published by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center
November 18, 2024
Iran was an essential part of Hamas’ preparations for the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, according to a report released by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center on Sunday, based on documents found by the IDF in Gaza over the last year.Though Iran has denied foreknowledge of the Oct. 7 attack, the documents cited by the Meir Amit Center report indicate Tehran’s involvement in Hamas’ preparations.“Hamas documents taken by IDF forces in the ground operation in the Gaza Strip … provide a rare glance at the extent of Iran’s penetration into Hamas as part of building its ‘axis of resistance’ against Israel,” the report states. “The documents teach us about Iran’s strategic process of establishing their foothold and influence in what happens in Hamas specifically and Gaza generally.”
On December 18, 2022, a letter from Marwan Issa, the deputy commander of Hamas’ Qassam Brigades who was killed in March of this year, wrote to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar — also killed by the IDF this year — that Iran agreed to provide a special budget of $7 million per month for a year to prepare for a war with Israel, but Issa thought Hamas should ask for a three- or four-month advance so that the group could prepare faster.
The letter also states that the sides discussed ways of smuggling weapons from Yemen to Hamas through “a network of smugglers that he totally trusts,” as well as using an Iranian submarine, according to the Meir Amit Center report.
In May 2022, former Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, who is still a senior figure in the terrorist group, wrote to Issa about an Iran-Hamas joint project to prepare to infiltrate Israel. Hamas would establish bases in Lebanon, starting with 2,000 terrorists meant to act under the command of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force.
“There are two main missions,” the letter reads. “If there is a joint battle and the Radwan force seeks to attack, Hamas will be on the forefront. If there are circumstances similar to [the 11-day Israel-Hamas war in May 2021], there will be independent infiltration actions, meaning groups from Al-Qassam [Hamas] will infiltrate.”
Mashal referred to disputes between Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC about the chain of command when the groups work in coordination, and wrote that while Hamas wants to keep a “good atmosphere” and not fight with the other groups, “it is our right to keep a high level of secrecy from Hezbollah.”
Iran also trained Hamas terrorists to use drones in the years preceding the Oct. 7 attack. https://jewishinsider.com/2024/11/iran-gaza-hamas-oct-7-terror-attacks-hezbollah/
Israel is expected to take additional military actions against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria, and Hamas.
But Israeli’s may wish to look at one of their sacred book’s prophesies related to what looks to be a Iranian-Syrian-Lebanese military coalition to strike and damage the nation of Israel:
1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.
What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, “Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.”
5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord God of hosts In the Valley of Vision — Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain. 6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.
12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning, For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
14 Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,”Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,” says the Lord God of hosts. (Isaiah 22:1-14 NKJV)
Elam is a reference to at least some in Iran. Kir is of interest as it it looks to include Syrians and others in the region. The “House of the Forest” was anciently located in Lebanon (e.g. 1 Kings 7:2, 10:17,21; 2 Chronicles 9:16,20).
In Isaiah 22:8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem–and notice that the damage will be great.
It is also possible that others, such as supporters in Iran and Yemen and the Palestinians will also support such and attack.
Those in Israel also need to realize that the Bible shows that those of Gaza will end up with territories that Israel now controls (see Gaza and the Palestinians in Bible Prophecy). Even if Gaza itself is mainly cleared of Gazans, biblical prophecies show that they will still be around (e.g. Jeremiah 47:2-7).
At the beginning of this post, is a photograph of an Iranian hypersonic missile.
Iran said it successfully used two that hit military targets in Israel during its attack last April (see https://www.armyrecognition.com/news/army-news/2024/iran-launched-non-interceptable-hypersonic-missile-fattah-2-during-airstrike-against-israel) and claimed to use others in its October 1, 2024 attack.
Last month, the Times of India speculated, “Iran To Launch Hypersonic & Ballistic Missiles At Israel To Avenge IDF Attack?” https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/videos/international/iran-to-launch-hypersonic-ballistic-missiles-at-israel-to-avenge-idf-attack-pezeshkian-says-/videoshow/114656392.cms.
We will see.
Iran has had some time to analyze and prepare for a future attack.
From a military perspective, Iran is likely thinking the following:
It is concerned about Donald Trump again becoming the President of the United States.
This could be the time for it to show the Islamic world that Iran wishes to lead the effort to eliminate Israel.
Attempt to overwhelm Israeli and USA defenses by encouraging Hezbollah to launch many times the number of rockets/missiles than it ever has.
Have the Houthis send out missiles, drones, etc.
Send out its own drones and missiles.
Include sending hypersonic missiles that it believes will not often be stopped.
It will be a “much more extensive” military attack by Iran and its allies that will fulfill Isaiah 22:6-9 than what happened last April or the beginning of this October. Watch (cf. Mark 13:37).
Last year, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following Bible News Prophecy video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel related to Iran and Israel:
youtube

Iran and Israel Conflict
European Union foreign policy chief, Josep Borrel, has been brokering the nuclear negotiations involving Iran and said that he thinks the deal is “in danger.” Iran blames the United States, whereas the USA says they are not delaying it. Israeli sources stated that Israel will stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Joe Biden says the USA would use its own military power to prevent Iran from getting such a bomb if need be. In 2021, Iranian lawmakers have submitted a bill seeking the government by law to commit to Israel’s destruction by the year 2040. Does the 22nd chapter of Isaiah point to damage coming to Israel from Iran and possibly Syria? Might Iran be concerned enough about limited progress with the USA to launch some type of attack? Is Iran the prophesied ‘King of the South’? Is it reasonable to think that the prophesied peace deal of Daniel 9:27 will not happen until after a military conflict. like a regional war? Should Christians watch the Middle East? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie discuss these matters.
Here is a link to our video: Iran and Israel Conflict.
We are in a time of wars and rumors of wars as Jesus foretold (Matthew 24:4-8).
The situation in the Middle East is dangerous.
Some see a confederation of Islamic nations and Israel cooperating as the way to bring peace:
The Abraham Accords 2.0 is the only path forward for a peaceful Middle East – opinion
With Trump poised to resume his role as a champion of these accords, we have a window of opportunity to take a bold step.
November 13, 2024
Now, as I look at the current landscape, I’m convinced that the success of the Abraham Accords is only the beginning.
We need an Abraham Accords 2.0, and the urgency has never been more palpable. Today, Iran’s influence in the region has intensified to a point that demands a decisive response. It has spread its power through Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, arming militias, proxies, and terrorist groups, destabilizing countries across the Middle East. This isn’t just about rivalries or regional tensions; It’s about survival and security for the countries living in the shadow of Iran’s ambitions. And that’s why I believe the Accords must expand, bringing together more nations in a unified coalition against the threat of Iranian hegemony.
Despite the ongoing war in Gaza, the Abraham Accords have held strong. …
Countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman, both with vested interests in countering Iran, should be brought into the fold. With their inclusion, we wouldn’t just have a patchwork of treaties; we’d have a coalition with the power to deter and defend. …
An expanded Abraham Accords would not just be an alliance; it would be a new balance of power in the Middle East, one that counters Iran’s influence with strength and cooperation. For Arab and Muslim states, aligning with Israel isn’t just a political choice, it’s a strategic necessity. Iran’s shadow has loomed large for too long, and the stakes are simply too high to remain on the sidelines. https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-828826
The Bible shows that a type of temporary peace deal will come to the Middle East (Daniel 9:26-27)–and it also shows that an Islamic-nation confederation similar to the one advocated above will occur (cf. Daniel 11:40-43).

Some were shocked to learn that Israel’s successful ‘Pagergeddon’ operation had been the work of a female intelligence operative under thirty. But they shouldn’t have been.
Israel’s digital intelligence capabilities rely on the work of young women operating in arenas like Unit 8200 which monitors enemy communications, plants surveillance devices and puts together intel data to form a bigger picture, and Unit 414, the unarmed observers on the front line, many of whose members were killed and a number captured during the Hamas invasion on Oct 7.
Women from 8200 and 414 had sounded early warning alerts about Hamas training drills and movements that went unheard before Oct 7. And Unit 414 had lost 27 of its own on Oct 7.
Unit 8200, which is 55% female, had taken some of the blame for the failures on Oct 7. The assault on Hezbollah provided a unique opportunity for Israel’s women to strike back.
‘Pagergeddon’ went viral on social media but it was only a piece of a bigger puzzle. The Israelis had deconstructed the lessons of Oct 7 and turned them against the Islamic terrorists. Hamas and its Iranian masterminds had wrecked Israeli battlefield communications in the initial attack. Israeli military units were slow to respond, aerial units were unable to strike and hours passed before the military leadership understood the scope of the terrorist assault on the homeland.
The first thing Israel came after were Hezbollah’s communications. ‘Pagergeddon’ was a crucial last step that began with Israel infiltrating Hezbollah’s landlines and then its other communications. When Hezbollah leaders fell back on the pagers and handheld radios, also favored by Hamas, that had been rigged to explode, communications were fatally scrambled.
Hezbollah leaders were forced to begin meeting in person and retreating to bunkers which made it all too easy to take them out. With a broken leadership and communications structure, Hezbollah lacked the ability to decisively move its forces and quickly respond. Within a week, its protectors at the UN and the White House were frantically urging a ‘ceasefire’.
Destroying communications and the chain of command is standard military doctrine, and Israel’s successful implementation of it within such a short time and against one of the world’s largest Islamic terrorist groups will be studied in military academies for generations, but there was also something feminine about breaking apart Hezbollah’s social bonds before a bombing campaign.
While misleading photos and videos of female IDF soldiers carrying rifles circulate on social media, the burden of front line combat is largely handled by men. The killing and capture of unarmed Israeli female observers from Unit 414 remains a deep moral failure. The true role of Israeli women is to act as the invisible heart and soul of the country’s national defense.
When Iron Dome and other interceptor systems take down incoming attacks, the odds are very good that the country’s female air defense controllers are alert and responding. And the extent to which Hezbollah’s communications were penetrated and turned against the terror group owes much to nameless female ‘keyboard warriors’ who exposed the enemy’s weaknesses.
Hezbollah was uniquely vulnerable to these tactics because it was in the awkward stage between terror group and terror state, too big to hide in tunnels, too small to have an effective air defense system, and too dumb to realize that tens of thousands of rockets were still no match for what a first rate air force could do to all its infrastructure and weaponry.

i absolutely agree - this is the self perception of both soap himself and the game's moral perspective as a whole - killing the right people for the right reasons. jacob geller made a great video essay about modern warfare i, but I think with the introduction of soap this becomes even more jarring
because while soaps need for vigilante justice is not always authorized (interestingly, soap still defers to higher authority in the authorization of killing even after getting betrayed (think we will get the green light to go after these guys?) because none of the good guys ever disobeys a direct order in modern warfare.), it is always rewarded. even in it's mechanics (red names for enemies and blue ones for allies) the morality is black and white.
which is especially interesting in the case of soap because not only is it mostly his reactions that frame the violence of the antagonists (see his judgement of hassan and makarov, but also sheperd and graves), he also makes the classification that matters most in the normative paradigm of modern warfare: whether or not an involved party is a civilian.
In las almas, soap laments that graves is committing war crimes, and the game agrees, giving all the voice lines names like "civilian male". but during the mission cartel protection, when soap asks about civilians, alejandro tells us that the cartel took over, and killing anyone here is fair game. hassan cannot be shot as Iran is not at war with mexico (an adherence to rules of engagement that gets punished narratively) but members of the British forces killing dozens of members of the Mexican army (because again, the cartel) is not even addressed as an issue, legally, ethically or politically. (and is it not crazy that outside of the vigilante revenge on shadows, the people you kill in modern warfare ii are almost exclusively mexican "cartel" and iranian "terrorists"? and that while rules of engagement come up as a topic frequently, they are never questioned when it comes to non-white people?)
but then again, this is a game the authors insist is "not political" as it "is not about real administrations" despite, and i cannot stress this enough, being a game that was released in 2022 which begins with the CIA executing an Iranian general.
one of soap's defining character traits is righteousness. be it helping his comrades in al mazrah over the mission objective (are you saying we shouldn't have helped?) or walking into a cartel villa unarmed to bring down el sin nombre (we came here to stop a missile, so let's stop it), it is clear that his main motivation is to do the right thing. so is the protection of innocent people - soap is almost always the one who articulates the involvement of civilians (what happened to the families here? / they're innocent people. / he's killing civilians - his own people.)
for soap, in this righteousness, and in the protection of these innocent people, the threat and execution of violence is the right thing. killing is not the avoidable means to an end, but the objective - as long as the people killed are evil (my job is to kill the enemy. guess what you are). he shows a clear favoritism for vigilante justice (you're going down for what you did / makes me want to commit a few war crimes of my own / you will hang for this) and has to be actively dissuaded from executing people instead of having them face due process on multiple occasions (you can't be serious he is right here / i will blow your brains out i swear i will do it).
and it is soap who decides who is evil and who is not. while he and ghost condemn graves' killing civilians as putting himself above the law (he is jury judge and executioner now) soap justifies the killing of dozens of mexicans without jurisdiction as part of a foreign army due to their cartel involvement (there are no civilians here). he never judges the violence of his own allies, only the lack of it (should have killed him when we had the chance).
a seargant hell-bent on doing the right thing but operating with both a brutal reverence to violence as the only option and a morality of black and white that does not survive closer scrutiny. he is clearly not a good person - if the amount of people he killed in cold blood is any indication - but he not only thinks that he is good but can tell whether a person is good or not to the point that he sees himself as a rightful executioner. now that's a character!
#as someone who was there when the iranian ambassador yelled at the us one for the assassination of soulemani do you know how fucking jarring#it was to play the beginning of modern warfare.#thank you for your response this whole blog actually started bc me and my best friend are writing about cod ethics#and i park the rest of my brainrot here but rest assured i have a lot of thougts#on call of duty and the geneva conventions.#i remember playing the wetworks mission for the first time and being like this is crazy...how is this framed....and it all got worse#from there....#exfil meta

Nier and it’s 9/11 symbolism
Okay so this is something that I really wanted to make a statement of this. Once discovering what Nier was about and what type of references Yoko Taro used, I came across the section in the Wikipedia page where it reads that much of the game was inspired by the September 11 attacks and the War on Terror. I felt no signs of offense or anger towards the creator, but simple curiosity. So I read along and basically Yoko said he took the idea of both sides believing they were doing the right which was shocking and went back to thinking.
This post is me exploring the behind the scenes in Nier’s 9/11 symbolism, not me making a statement that Nier is a political game although there will be times I will bring it up but a game having political themes does not equate that is political either. So don’t bring your “bUT eVerYthING iS pOLitcal” bullshit here
Without a doubt, Nier himself represents the United States of America, not to mention he reminds of a typical American dude in the US Army, hardheaded but isn’t afraid to show kindness to the people he cares about.
Think about it, a movie where an American soldier, a single father brings his child to his military base and the two character spend a lot of time together making us forget that he is not only a soldier but a father and human being as well, but then suddenly, the terrorists attack the base and kidnapped his child and the American soldiers want nothing but vengeance so they started killing anything and anyone standing in their way, then they reached the terrorists hideout and find the child alive and unharmed and it was revealed one of the terrorists lost a child of his own and the American soldier’s child reminded him a lot of his deceased son. But the American soldier doesn’t care about that - what matters that the terrorist not only attacked his country but also kidnapped his only child and for that he kills the other off, making seem like terrorists deserve everything they got; sorta representing what has been to Iraq by American soldiers and our government’s response to justify such invasion
(I’ve always thought this scene was the game’s 9/11 moment; The village was attacked, Nier is strike down, his daughter/sister taken away, Grimoire Weiss almost corrupted, Kaine petrified and the only thing left was revenge)
But of course, such a movie like that would be classified as American imperialist propaganda glorifying war like these movies below: (Yoko Taro should consider himself lucky he is not an American developer or director in film and video games or else he’ll get cancelled cause how dare we can portray ourselves as victims of terrorism!)
Interestingly, 300 actually shares the same symbolism and message as Nier Gestalt, and many have interpertned the Spartans represented America and Persians as Middle East or the other way around, which leaves the audience free to decide who side represents who. It’s predecessor The 300 Spartans (1962) was released during the Cold War where everyone were paranoid over a nuclear war between the United States and Soviet Union and the film was an allegory of the tensions among two superpower nations wanting to be the top meaning . Very interesting how a historical war among the Greeks and Persians became an allegory of any war America gotten herself into - whether it is Soviet Russia or Iraq, basically any Middle Eastern country at this point. Speaking of Persia/Iran and my ‘what if Nier was an American film’; there’s a book-turned-movie titled, Not Without My Daughter. It’s based on the true story of an Iranian man who kept his American wife and daughter hostage for 18 months. The book is from the mother’s perspective, her husband later wrote his very own book titled Lost Without my Daughter, accusing his wife of lying about her ordeal, then years later their daughter wrote her own book aligning with her mother’s - remembering how her father would beat and threaten her mother, separating them, not seeing him the same after his transformation from being a sweet and loving husband/father to an horrifying and abusive father/husband and experiencing anti-American sentiment and having to shout Death to America and stomping on the American flag before going to class. Heck, even the words ‘not without my daughter’ depicts whole game with Papa Nier / the Shadowlord not wanting to be separated from Yonah and will do anything to bring her back. You can find interviews and articles from the the mother-daughter team if you are interested, their story is very incredible and mind-blowing
On the music section of this essay; The band Slayer released a song titled Jihad and reached controversy from the victims’ families for it’s subject matter and singing it through the terrorists’ perspective, nevermind the lyrics actually contain the letters from one of the 9/11 hijackers at the end of the song. King himself also stated that Jihad is not a political song but anyone can make an argument and use its context and lyrics on why it is and others can also use it as protest against Islamic aggression
Jihad song lyrics
“Strike as champions at the heart of the nonbelievers. Strike above the neck and at all extremities.”
Atta
“When the confrontation begins, strike like champions who do not want to go back to this world. Shout, 'Allahu Akbar,' because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers. God said: 'Strike above the neck, and strike at all of their extremities.”
The song ends with; “When you reach ground zero you will have killed the enemy, The Great Satan” - The United States is referred to as the Great Satan by our enemies, notably Iran, guess who else is viewed as an omnipresent evil force in the Nier universe?
If Nier was a strictly American video game or movie we would be hearing arguments ranging from “Nier is pro-war because Nier had every right to kill off the shades for causing nothing but trouble.” to “Nier is anti-war while the shades are causing problem but so did the Replicant themselves.” Pretty much how 300 brought many debates on which side represents who; what you think who does represents who? does Nier represent the United States and Bush and the Shadowlord represents Osama Bin Laden and the Middle East or is it the other way around?
But anyways, September 11 is a bit of a sensitive subject especially if you’re from New York City and have connection to those who died or personally affected firsthand. Scars still run deep but I still thought this was an interesting subject to talk and consider and Happy Birthday Papa/Brother Nier
