The IPL: Where Cricket Meets Big Business
The Indian Premier League (IPL), a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India, has become one of the most popular sporting events in the world. With its razzmatazz, glamour, and big business, the IPL has been able to create a loyal fan following across the globe. After being postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IPL is back in 2023 with a bang, with rivalries and more business opportunities than ever before.
The IPL was first introduced in 2008 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds to become one of the biggest events in the cricketing world. In its first season, the league consisted of eight teams representing different cities in India, each owned by a franchise. Over the years, the league has expanded to include ten teams, with two new teams, Ahmedabad and Lucknow, joining in 2022.
The IPL has been successful not just because of its cricketing excellence but also due to its unique business model. The league is based on the franchise system, where each team is owned by a private company or individual. The franchisees invest heavily in their teams, buying players, and creating an atmosphere of glitz and glamour around the league. The league has become a massive money-spinner, with teams earning millions of dollars in sponsorship and advertising revenue.
The IPL is not just about cricket. It is also a platform for big business. With a huge fan following across the world, the IPL provides companies with an opportunity to advertise their products to a vast audience. From team sponsorships to television advertising, the IPL offers a range of opportunities for businesses to promote their brands. According to a report by Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance advisor, the Indian Premier League (IPL), has recorded a 77% increase in system value to US$8.4 billion. With media rights sold for over INR 48,000 Crores (US$6.5 billion), the central pool of IPL revenues has increased more than 2.5 times for the 2023 to 2027 cycle.
The rivalry between teams in the IPL is another factor that makes the league so exciting. Each team represents a different city in India, and the players are selected from across the globe. This creates a unique mix of talent, culture, and identity that fans can relate to. The players are not just playing for their teams; they are representing the cities they come from. The rivalry between teams is not just about winning matches; it is also about representing their cities with pride.
The IPL has also created a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent. The league has given many young players a chance to play alongside some of the biggest names in cricket. This has not only helped them develop their skills but also given them exposure to a global audience. Many young players who have performed well in the IPL have gone on to represent their national teams at the highest level.
In conclusion, the Indian Premier League is a unique sporting event that has captured the imagination of cricket fans across the globe. With its razzmatazz, glamour, and big business, the IPL has become a massive money-spinner for franchise owners and businesses alike. The league has created a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent and given fans a chance to support their cities with pride. With the league back in action in 2021, cricket fans can look forward to another season of exciting cricket and fierce rivalries.

How MLC is Igniting the Future of Cricket in the USA
Major league cricket is igniting the future of cricket in the USA in a number of ways.

Big players like Martin Guptill (New Zealand), Rilee Rossouw (South Africa), Jason Roy (England), Sunil Narine (West Indies), Andre Russell (West Indies), Devon Conway (New Zealand), Dwayne Bravo (West Indies), Mitchell Santner (New Zealand), Nicholas Pooran (West Indies), Rashid Khan (Afghanistan), Kieron Pollard (West Indies), Trent Boult (New Zealand), Kagiso Rabada (South Africa), Matthew Wade (Australia), Aaron Finch (Australia), Marcus Stoinis (Australia), Quinton de Kock (South Africa), Heinrich Klaasen (South Africa), Shimron Hetmyer (West Indies),Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka), Mitchell Marsh (Australia), Anrich Nortje (South Africa) etc.
Second, MLC is investing heavily in marketing and promotion. The league is working to reach out to new audiences and introduce them to the excitement of cricket.
Third, MLC is creating a world-class cricket infrastructure in the USA. The league is building new stadiums and training facilities that will help to grow the sport in the country. In May 2022, Major League Cricket announced it had acquired funds of $120 million and much more after.
As a result of these efforts, MLC is manage to make a major impact on cricket in the USA. The league has the potential to transform the sport in the country and make it a major force in American sports industry.
Introduction: Major League Cricket
Major League Cricket (MLC) is an American professional Twenty20 cricket league. It started play on July 13, 2023, with six teams representing significant American cities and was run by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) under a single-entity format only.
Major League Cricket’s inaugural season was played over three weeks in July 2023, with games at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina.
In 2018, USA Cricket sought partners to launch a domestic T20 league by 2021, with the aim of engaging existing fans, growing new ones and developing cricketing infrastructure across the country. In 2019, USA Cricket accepted a $1 billion investment from American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) to support the league and the U.S. national teams. American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), a group of investors led by Satyan Gajwani and Vineet Jain of The Times Group and Sameer Mehta and Vijay Srinivasan of Willow TV will handle commercial activities for T20I and ODI matches hosted by the United States.
In October 2020, USA Cricket announced that it would launch Major League Cricket in 2022, as part of its “foundational plan” for 2020–23. The following month, the IPL’s Kolkata Knight Riders (co-owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan) announced that they would invest in American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), the company behind Major League Cricket.
Minor League Cricket Youth and Major League Cricket Youth leagues, coupled with an MLC Jr. Championship and player development program would serve as a development structure for younger players to advance toward Major League Cricket and the national squad. These leagues were announced by the MLC in February 2021. Major League Cricket’s debut was postponed to 2023 in May owing to COVID-19 and to give more time to build facilities.
It was announced in November 2022 that the inaugural MLC season will take place at Grand Prairie Stadium from July 13–30, 2023. Six franchises will play 15 league matches in a single round-robin format during the competition, followed by a four-match play-off phase.

Latest Indian Cricket News - Live Cricket Scores, Cricket News, Results & More
Cricket is more than just a sport in India; it's an obsession that unites the entire nation. From the nail-biting finishes to the explosive performances by players, Indian cricket fans can't get enough of their beloved game. And if you're one of them, then you've come to the right place! In this latest Indian Cricket News blog post, we'll bring you up-to-date with all things cricket-related in India. From T20 World Cup preparations to COVID-19's impact on India's upcoming calendar and everything in between, let's dive into the world of Indian cricket together!
Latest Indian cricket news for 2023 includes the India national cricket team's tour of Australia. The tour is scheduled to take place from November 2021 to January 2023. This will be the first time that the two sides have played a Test series since 2017. India are also scheduled to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
Latest Indian Cricket News - India's Approach To T20 Cricket In 2023
India's approach to T20 cricket in 2023 is a hot topic among Indian cricket fans. With the ICC T20 World Cup fast approaching, India's preparation is already underway. The team management has been experimenting with new players and strategies to find the winning combination for the tournament.
In recent years, India has struggled in ICC events despite having a strong squad. The lack of success can be attributed to their overreliance on star players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. However, things seem to be changing as younger players are getting more opportunities to showcase their skills at the international level.
India's approach towards T20 cricket has also shifted from being overly aggressive to more balanced gameplay. This change was visible during India's tour of Australia earlier this year where they won both the ODI and T20 series against Australia.
With experienced campaigners like MS Dhoni in support roles within the team, India seems well-equipped for another successful campaign in 2023. It remains unclear who will lead the team after Kohli steps down as captain but one thing is certain - Indian cricket fans have much to look forward to!
The Impact Of COVID-19 On India's Cricket Calendar For 2023
The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the world of sports, and Indian cricket is no exception. The impact of the virus has been felt across all levels of the sport, from grassroots development to international fixtures.
The outbreak in India led to a suspension of all domestic and international matches in 2020. As a result, many high-profile tournaments such as the IPL were postponed or cancelled entirely.
Looking ahead to 2023, it remains unclear how much longer the virus will continue to disrupt sporting schedules. While there have been attempts to resume play under strict bio-bubble protocols, it's uncertain whether these measures will be sustainable over an extended period.
Furthermore, with so many countries impacted differently by COVID-19 restrictions and vaccine rollouts, scheduling overseas tours may prove challenging for Indian cricket officials. This could mean rethinking their approach to tournament planning altogether.
Despite these challenges though, fans can rest assured that Indian cricket officials are doing everything they can under difficult circumstances - both for player safety and preserving the integrity of competition.
The Rise Of Young Indian Cricketers: Meet The Future Stars
Indian cricket has always been known for producing some exceptional talent, and the current crop of young Indian cricketers is no exception. These players have shown immense potential and are set to become superstars in the future.
One such player is Shubman Gill, who made his Test debut against Australia last year. He showed great composure and technique during his innings of 91 in the second Test match. Another promising youngster is Prithvi Shaw, who shot to fame after scoring a century on his Test debut against West Indies in 2018.
Rishabh Pant is another name that comes to mind when we talk about young Indian cricketers. The wicket-keeper batsman has already made a mark for himself with some fantastic performances in both Tests and limited-overs cricket.
The fast bowling department also looks promising with the likes of Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti showcasing their skills at various levels. In addition to these players, there are several others like Devdutt Padikkal, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar who are waiting for their opportunity to shine on the big stage.
It's an exciting time for Indian cricket as they continue to produce top-quality talent from grassroots level all the way up to international cricket. With these future stars waiting in the wings, India's dominance in world cricket looks set to continue for years to come.
Rohit Sharma's Captaincy: Is It Time For Kohli To Step Down?
As India gears up for the upcoming cricket season, there are plenty of exciting developments to keep an eye on. From the team's approach to T20 cricket in 2023 and the impact of COVID-19 on their calendar, to the emergence of young Indian cricketers who could become future stars, there is no shortage of news and analysis to follow.
And when it comes to leadership within the Indian cricket team, many fans are debating whether it's time for Virat Kohli to step down as captain and pave the way for Rohit Sharma. While this may be a contentious issue among supporters, one thing is clear: both players have demonstrated exceptional talent and leadership skills over the years.
Ultimately, only time will tell what direction India's cricket team will take in terms of its strategy and personnel. However, with so much excitement surrounding this beloved sport in India - from live scores and results updates online to passionate debates about every aspect of play - one thing is certain: fans can look forward to plenty more thrilling moments on the pitch in the months and years ahead.

Covid effect on T20 world cup 2021 – Host shift, Financial Impact, and Opportunity loss.
The World cup is shifted from India to UAE, due to the COVID-19. When the BCCI took the decision the second wave in the country was at its peak and there were assumptions about the breakout of the third wave. The ICC T20 World Cup will be played from October 17 to November 14.
Obviously, the BCCI president would not like to risk the life of players, just to play fantasy cricket. BCCI is still hosting the ICC World Cup 2021. The ICC T20 tournament was supposed to be held in 2020 in Australia, after the 2016 edition, which was hosted by India. In the 2016 edition, West Indies beat England and won the trophy.
After looking at the condition in India, many players were not ready to play, because of safety issues.
ICC T20 WORLD CUP PARTICIPANTS
The president of the BCCI decided to shift the venue of ICC T20 World Cup 2021 to UAE and Oman from India; after looking at the condition. The tournament was to be held in 2020, but due to pandemic breakout, it was postponed to the next year 2021. There are already 8 teams in the super 12, while teams like Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. New Papua Guinea and Namibia are playing their first T20 edition. These teams will be playing to make sport in the top 12. Ireland and Scotland have chances to qualify in the respective matches.
The teams are divided into two groups - Group I and Group II. Group 1 - England, West Indies, South Africa, and Australia. Group II includes the following teams - India, Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Pakistan.
All the online fantasy sports players have a chance to participate in multiple matches and win huge money. Royal 11 is covering each match, including warmups to get ready for the playoffs.
WHY UAE FOR HOSTING THE ICC T20 WORLD CUP
COVID-19 is the primary reason for shifting the location of World Cup T20 from India to the UAE. Also, ICC has the headquarters in Dubai and it will be easier for the organization to follow the revenue sharing pattern as per the guidelines of the country. BCCI and ICC both wanted to host the T20 World Cup in India, but the unpredictable breakout of COVID-19 has spoiled everything. One cannot control the spread of the Coronavirus, so it is better to play safe, then solve the problem later.
After India, UAE is considered the most suitable venue for this international event. With the experience of hosting IPL 2021 in the UAE, BCCI knows how to arrange logistics and create a safe environment across the four venues in the country. Where in India, the ICC World Cup T20 would have played on 9 venues, if the conditions were better.
BCCI is now confident about hosting the matches of T20 in UAE, after experiencing successful hosting of IPL 2021. Fantasy players don’t need to worry about the geo-location, download Royal11 and play ICC T20 Fantasy World Cup.
TAX EXEMPTION FOR HOSTING ICC WORLD CUP 2021
As per reports “The BCCI President tried to exempt the taxes from Indian Government during virtual SGM to host ICC T20 World Cup”. The inclusion of taxes would have Rs. 1000 crore burden on the BCCI. The revenue would be the same irrespective of the country that is hosting the ICC T20 World Cup. Ganguly said, if the government is not exempting taxes, then the BCCI won’t host the T20 World Cup in India.
The Govt of India was ready to support the BCCI and agreed to the tax reduction, but COVID-19 had different plans. Well, Royal11 fantasy players don’t need to pay any kind of taxes to play fantasy cricket. Download the game and start creating a team.
CONCLUSION
Hence, the pandemic has affected so many things, including IPL and ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Look at the brighter side, at least live matches are happening and a few percentages of players are allowed to watch the live match. As a Fantasy Player, you don’t need to worry about the location, download Royal11 and kick start your journey of playing fantasy cricket.

Michael Hussey Says It IS Difficult To Host T20 World Cup in India
Former Australia batsman as well as the batting coach of Chennai Super Kings, Michael Hussey has recently said that it would be difficult to play T20 World Cup in India this year because of the current situation in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, on May 4, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was postponed due to the surge of COVID-19 cases inside the bio-bubbles. After it was postponed, Hussey, who earlier tested positive for coronavirus and later recovered has now finally returned to Australia.
"I think it's going to be very difficult in my view to play T20 World Cup in India. We're talking about eight teams in the IPL. I think there are probably a similar number; maybe more teams coming in from overseas for the T20 World Cup, there'd be more venues. As I said earlier, if they're playing in different cities, that is when the risk goes up," Hussey told Fox Cricket.
"I think they'll have to look some pretty big contingency plans, perhaps looking at the UAE or somewhere like that that could host the World T20. I think there will be a lot of cricket boards around the world that'd be pretty nervous about going back to India for a cricket tournament," he further added.
On the other hand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has called for a virtual Special General Meeting (SGM) on May 29 to discuss on the T20 World Cup. However, while speaking to ANI, sources related to the development has said that the idea to call for the meeting is to discuss how to go forward with hosting the T20 World Cup in October-November in India as well.
"The ICC will have the meeting on June 1 and before that, we will have our own meeting on May 29 to discuss the COVID-19 situation and what all measures need to be taken with an eye on the T20 World Cup which is slated to be held in India in October-November," the source said.

IPL 2021 SUSPENDED
Things that go smoothly always end up at the most uncertain times with the possibility of holding things back. As the IPL was halfway done by the end of 2nd May 2021, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has now decided to postpone the further fixtures for the time being, due to the Covid-19 wave that hasn't just restricted to the other citizens but the players of the teams are resulted as positive for this epidemic of Corona Virus. The rumors turned into headlines when two of the Kolkata Knight Riders' players', the spinner Varun Chakravarthy and the medium-pacer Sandeep Warrier returned Covid positive. Until further notice, the game of last night was postponed and soon to be suggested as to reschedule, but as per the meeting held by the BCCI, the sponsors, the team management, and all the people involved on Monday evening after the IPL bubble was breached, the superiors have decided to postpone the matches in clear words. The BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla informed, "The IPL has been suspended for the time being. We spoke to everyone from the teams, broadcasters, and all those who were involved in it. It has decided to defer the IPL, especially looking at the sentiment and current situation in the country. For us, players' health is paramount and BCCI will always keep safety first. We will meet again soon and decide when can we conclude this edition, we have to see when the next window available."
In these tough times of Corona, IPL was the only live entertainment that has distracted people from the pain showing on the news channels, IPL has been that band from the movie Titanic which played and sing even when the Titanic was sinking. As the 3 members of CSK contingent and the wicketkeeper-batsmen Wriddhiman Saha of SRH have been tested positive for Covid, the matches that were most likely to rescheduled are now decided to get postpone and suspended for the time being.
Mpoving the complete tournament to a single venue was never an option, mentioning the chances of holding the remaining matches of the IPL in the United Arab Emerites the officials has said, "It's not feasible to take the IPL to UAE now, midway into tournament." With situation getting back to normal in past few months where cricket had been played peacefully between India and England in India, it was good to see a fighting start from all the teams in the IPL's first half but as the Covid has reached to the players it's tough to tell when will it continue because in mid June India will be playing the finals of World Test Championship against New Zeland from 18-22. With back to back ICC tournaments planned, like Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, the IPL fans have to wait to see which team holds the cup at the end of this season.

How IPL 2020 plans to move to UAE
On expected lines, England's limited-overs excursion of India has been held off till early 2021, the ECB and BCCI confirmed on Friday (August 7). England were originally arranged to visit India in September as part of the FTP to play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs and after that return once again in January 2021 to play 5 Examination suits.
