OH holy crap this slammed into me like a brick wall!!!

So I read a few fics were Zeref gets redeemed and his curse is lifted or altered in some way so that he can be around people again. In some of them there is even a nice reconciliation between August and Zeref where Zeref learns about the son he never knew he had.

(like in World's End: Aftermath by CairnCircles which is a fantastic story and Cairn deserves all the love)

But anyway one thing I've never seen is the fact that Brandish considers August to be her grandpa...

Just think for a second.

About the sheer hilarity.

That would come from that realisation.

Not only would Zeref have gained another son (if he finally recognised Larcade as his son too instead of leaving the poor guys behind) but he also would've gained a pseudo-great-grandaughter.

Then you've got the opposite where the news finally breaks to everyone about Augusts relationship with Zeref and everyone is shocked that something like this has gone unknown for so long. Then you've got Brandish in the background freaking out because if August is her grandpa what does that make the emperor then?!?!?!

Ughhh okay I feel much better now that that's out of the way.

(You've also got the added hilarity of Natsu finding out that Brandish is his kind of not really great-niece and him absolutely committing to the role of great uncle whether she wants him to or not)

Redesigns of a few more Spriggan 12 characters. My memory of the arc is limited outside of the things that infuriated me enough to stick around for 10 years.

Heyy, got any Spiggan and Fairy Tail guild post-war headcanons, that is if only all of them survived hehe

Hey, I'm back! Now let's talk about some post war friendships. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you meant but I want them to make peace and be homies so...

Brandish, of course, is really fond of Fairy Tail and whenever she's in town she makes a stop at the guild

Ajeel has an open invitation out for any member of Fairy Tail to come visit.

Ajeel has also declared peace between Fiore and Alvarez (he's actually pretty good friends with Hisui now)

The 12 actually really like Erza. She visits often and they tell her stories about her mother (Yajeel specifically likes to sit down and chat with her)

Levy is all over Alvarez's library. She will take multiple week long trips just to sit and read for days

Similar to Erza, Natsu likes to stop by and hear stories about his brother

Neinhart and Bickslow learned that their magics compliment each other. They aren't friends exactly but they do train together often and even learned some freaky new skills

Jacob and Freed actually become pretty good friends. Freed tends to go with Bickslow on trips to Alvarez just to catchup with Jacob

You'd think Freed would get along with Invel but he does not like that man at all. They actually fight all the time. Not physically but they get real nasty with words.

Dimaria does everything in her power to avoid the Fairy Tail guild. She wants to forget about the war and move on, but for some reason she is literally always running into them. Everyone is always so happy to see her which confuses and stresses her out

Brandish and Dimaria are still close so Brandish eventually warms Dimaria up to Fairy Tail. Dimaria is fond of Evergreen, Mirajane, Lucy and surprisingly Loke

Gray vs Invel Yura

May contain spoilers for Fairy Tail’s Alvarez arc!!

Realizing THINGS. This scene was the first time Gray tried to off himself and it wasn’t him using Iced Shell to seal his enemies away. He would rather stab himself for Juvia to live, instead of sealing Juvia away while also giving up his own life in the process. Do you think he did that because he knew he had a slight chance of surviving and would still be able to be with her or do you think it was just straight “protect her at all costs mode”? I don’t know man maybe I’m being overdramatic but either way HE LOVES HER AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO ADMIT IT!!!

I just think it would be funny if Neinhart thought Invel was a funky little guy with a penchant for crime he wanted to enable and Invel could not give less of a shit about Neinhart and they cause shenanigans getting out of prison and kiss a little sometimes and continue to fail at everything they do

GW 2022-Day 4:Tease

Honestly, the prompts this year were really good and inspired endless possibilities. Per usual, I chose angst and why not have have a go at what has become my favourite love triangle? 😏

Title: Yesterday

Summary: “I will do what I must. I hope you’ll understand.” They had always known this love couldn’t last, not when she was engaged to someone else. A burden Juvia could not escape when so many lives were at stake, but Gray was determined to free her.

"Do not dare to do this!" Gray screamed and she flinched.

"Please, don't make this any harder than it has to be." Juvia turned her back to him, unwilling to gaze into those dark, alluring eyes.

"You think it is hard for you?" He approached her. "Can you imagine what it feels like for me?"

"I do not presume to know anything." She spoke firmly, but with a hint of shakiness.

"Juvia…" He called her name rather pleadingly.

"I have to go." She moved away, creating distance between them.

Gray sighed. "I don't get you. Yesterday you were kissing me and saying we'd work this out, but now you're telling me to leave."

Almost reaching the door, she froze. "Do not speak so loudly!"

He rolled his eyes. "We are alone. No one can hear us."

Juvia turned to glance at him, her expression panicked. "You can't tell anyone about this either. If people even suspect that we…"

With her attention on him, he pressed. "That we what?"

She hesitated. "No one must know."

"And no one will." He moved quickly, and closed the distance between them. Before she knew it, his arms were encircling her waist, trapping her. Juvia didn't fight back, knowing it was futile. Her hands were drawn to his chest as she placed one where his guild mark was hidden underneath his midnight blue shirt. After a moment, she glanced at him, conflicted.

"We should not."

"I know."

Then Gray was leaning in and she followed suit before their lips met in a passionate kiss. Her arms encircled his neck, bringing him even closer. They kissed eagerly, hungrily, like they would never kiss again.

Passion overwhelmed them, and the room. Anyone walking in would have no doubt about what this meant. Fortunately, though, they remained unwatched and uninterrupted.

After they had pulled apart to catch their breaths, Juvia admitted. "I can't resist you."

"Then don't." Gray whispered, leaning in to kiss her again, but this time softly and briefly. "Let yourself be mine."

"You know I can't do that." She reminded him, dejectedly.

He frowned. "There's no changing your mind."

Juvia loosened her arms around his neck. Fixing him with a melancholic smile, she tried. "What we have..this passion… it will fade someday. Then you'll be free to find someone else."

"Passion, you call it now?" His voice took on a bitter note. "Yesterday you said it was love."

"Yesterday I still had hope." She removed his arms from her waist and stepped away from him.

"You're giving up, then."

It wasn't a question, but she answered nonetheless. "I will do what I must. I hope you'll understand."

His face hardened. "This should not be your burden to take."

She moved towards the door again, not looking at him. "I don't have much of a choice."

Gray closed his eyes for a second, letting out a long breath, then opened them to reveal despair. "So you're going through with it. Nothing's changed."

"Nothing's changed." Juvia confirmed, but her regret was unmistakable.

He was about to say something else, ready to plead again, but then the door was opened and Invel walked in. "Your highness." He greeted her, politely.

She stiffened. "Is he waiting?"

He nodded. "The Emperor asked me to retrieve and accompany you towards the rehearsal dinner."

"Alright, then." Juvia nodded and, with one last glance at the ice mage, allowed Invel to escort her outside the room. Gray watched in desperation as the door closed behind her, but soon his expression shifted towards a strong resolve.

"I don't care what she says. I will find a way to stop this wedding."

Brandish and Dimaria do not like Irene, but they fear her enough not to voice that. It's more like sharing a look when Irene speaks during meetings

Larcade tries to speak to August and homie will literally just walk away halfway through the conversation

Invel is basically the mom of the group. They all run to him to snitch on each other. Invel could not care less

God Serena is the weakest member. Also the most annoying

Ajeel starts fights on purpose all the time. He loves causing problems

One time, Invel had him forcibly removed from the palace because Ajeel said "Fuck the Emperor". That's all it took

August took Brandish under his wing when she was a child. While not obvious, he watches her closely just to make sure she is safe

Bloodman accidentally kills people all the time? Like "oopsie, was he important?"

You can get frost bite from just bumping into Invel. Brandish is convinced he does it on purpose to keep people at arms length

Irene uses really old slang. Like no one knows what she is saying

Also her native language is an old dead language and sometimes she just slips into it on accident. Zeref is the only one that also speaks it and they carry on the convo like normal

Zeref's native language is also a dead language but it is a different one. Very confusing for everyone else

Jacob straight up won't look at any of the women in the twelve. None of them cover up enough for him. He tries to offer them cloaks to cover themselves during meetings but they get mad

Larcade tries to make everyone pray before meetings and meals. He usually gets laughed at. Tho Invel will actually join him from time to time out of politeness

Neinhart is not well liked among the twelve. He has a habit of randomly bringing up their dead loved ones.

To no ones surprise, Bloodman and Neinhart are good friends

Ajeel, Dimaria, Brandish, and Neinhart make up random 'human' facts to tell Wall and throw off his programming. Wall has no idea what is true or not and just fully trusts everything they say

Irene also joins in on this but mostly because she doesn't wanna talk to Wall and just gives him a random answer without actually listening to what he asked
