Main Issues with Rosegarden vs Ones That Can Be Easily Argued Against
Tumblr media
Main Criticisms that better describe the main concerns with Rosegarden:
-Issue 1: RWBY often relies heavily on subtext and fan interpretation to build ships rather than explicitly showing relationships develop on-screen(Pyrrha explains her reasons for liking Jaune but we don't see them onscreen as this was in only Volume 2). This creates frustration for fans who feel that certain relationships aren't explored enough or are left too vague.
-Issue 2: Some relationships receive far more screen time and development than others in RWBY, or are onyl focused for specific volumes, which can lead to certain ships feeling more like fanservice or being sidelined entirely.(Weiss and Ruby not hanging out much compared to Penny and Ruby in V7)
-Issue 3: Ruby and Oscar haven't been in the forefront resulting in conversations which other lacking banter vs conversations they have with characters who are in the forefront(Oscar being sassy with Hazel, Emerald, and Ozpin)
Criticisms that that are often contradicted:
Oscar is too old for Ruby
Other media: -Kagome (15) and Inuyasha (over 200 years old)
RWBY: Ruby being fine with being friends with Penny who was a robot
Ruby Should be with ______
Other media: -Quintessential Quintuplets(despite different shipping author gives reason as to why the MC ended up with the specific love interest compared to others)
RWBY: Will probably explain why if ends up canon, did so for Pyrrha in Volume 2
Oscar is to young for Ruby
Other media: Usagi (15) and Mamoru (17) from Sailor Moon
RWBY: Again Penny having no biological age
Ruby will just take care of Oscar
Other media: Luz would start off causing dangerous situations Amity needed to help deal with in the Owl House before indirectly motivating her to stand up to her parents in the Owl House
RWBY: Ruby does this for literally everyone
Oscar is just a plot device of the most part
Other media: Shuichi Minamino represents Kurama's internal conflict and transformation with their merge in Yu Yu Hakusho that happened before the events of the show
CRWBY: Ruby having Silver Eyes
Ruby and Oscar don’t have enough time for romantic development in the show
Other media: Hinata and Naruto from Naruto the Last Movie
CRWBY: Pyrrha admitting she liked Jaune in only V2 for treating her like anyone else which we only learned in that volume.
Oscar will merge with Ozpin
Other media: Ultraman Tiga-gradually merges while regaining past life relationships but still gets married to new love interest
CRWBY: Blacksmith is god and gives Ruby a choice in changing or not for her acceptance
Ozpin being around
Other media: Asuka still loving Jaden despite his trauma and fusing with Yubel in Yugioh GX
CRWBY: Ozpin only appearing for plot stuff
Ozpin will take over Oscar
Other media: Ultraman Tiga, Kurama(Yu Yu Hakusho) from above
CRWBY: Blacksmith gives a whole speech about balance at the end of Volume 9 rather than control
Oscar is just discount Jaune
Other Media: Like Edward, Alphonse is on a similar journey and reacting to new stuff, but his own struggles and quiet demeanor separate him from his more forward brother. Over time, Alphonse proves his individuality and importance to the story in Fullmetal Alchemist.
CRWBY:
-Jaune being in a rare position of being a foil to Ruby but even since volume 1(likely due to family legacy) would act like he has everything under control resulting him lashing out, hence him opening up in Volume 8 and 9 represents important growth
(learning to be forward-facing even in the midst of truly knowing and understanding everything that’s wrong with the situation.)
-After Oscar getting frustrated in Volume 5 he adapts as well in how he doesn’t follow Ozpin’s mindset as much as Jaune since Volume 1 which added to his repressive habits in Volume 9 partially, in how despitee struggling with becoming an immortal wizard he is capable of making more meaningful connections compared to Ozpin who even if he ignoring the Salem secret didn’t trust anyone emotionally resulting in him quickly leaving.

Front Piece Chapter 19 Sneak Peek #2
(AKA Yura enjoys teasing Inuyasha waaay too much 🤣🤣🤭🤭)
Tumblr media
“Dude, stop staring out the window like a mopey dog waiting for its owner, and give me a hand,” Yura scolded, fists on her hips, as she glared at Inuyasha, “You’re the one who wanted to do a BBQ. Kikyo and I would have been fine with making pasta.”
It was bad enough he had arrived late, but now the moron was brooding instead of helping her keep the fire at the appropriate temperature. Too much, and the meat would overcook outside but not enough inside. Too little, and the meat would take forever.
He was the expert on all things BBQ, not her!
Inuyasha growled, but Yura merely rolled her eyes and mocked his growl.
“Now!” she insisted when the hanyo turned to look back out the window, and he grumbled, reluctantly following her to the backyard. “Watching won’t make them arrive any faster, Inuyasha. Why the fuck are you so surly? Didn’t get laid last night?”
She knew she was playing with fire, but she didn’t fucking care. Inuyasha’s ears pinned back, and he glared at her.
“Hey! First of all, that’s none of your fucking business, second, I’m worried the idiot’s gonna ask her pervy questions about us, and third, the more it takes them to get here, the more chances the idiot fucks up,” he explained, agitated, as he grabbed the tongs and flipped one of the meats carelessly.
“You drop that meat and I’m castrating you,” she yelled at him, then frowned at him. “Fuck up what?”
Inuyasha turned to look at her, cocking an exasperated eyebrow. “You and Kikyo,” he replied in a lower volume.
“Oh fuck.”
He nodded before turning to the grill. “Yeah, oh fuck,” he muttered.
Personally, Yura didn’t have a problem with Miroku accidentally telling Kagome, but that was because she wasn’t in any closet. If it was up to her, she would personally tell Kagome about her and Kikyo’s relationship. Inuyasha’s girlfriend just seemed like the type who would be one hundred percent understanding and encouraging, and—dare she say—cheerful. Yura had well over a decade of learning how to read people, and Kagome gave off this vibe of love and let love.
But her girlfriend wasn’t ready to confide in Kagome—yet—and Yura would always respect Kikyo’s times.
“We’ll cross that bridge if it comes to that,” she replied, grabbing the roll of tinfoil to cut several large squares to later wrap the meat and keep it warm once it was properly cooked.
Inuyasha didn’t reply, and she noticed his ears swiveling to focus in the general direction of the road before dropping the tongs on the grill and sprinting into the house.
Yura scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief as he watched him disappear.
“And then you get huffy when I tease you about acting like a dog,” she muttered to herself as she went back to watch over the meat on the grill.

Sooo I went to Japan for 2 weeks! It was amazing! Extremely hot but I still enjoyed everything and want to go back ASAP 😭
I wanted to share the Inuyasha merch I’ve been able to find! Which is not a lot, lol. Urusei Yatsura's Lum was EVERYWHERE (especially thanks to the recent reboot) and I also saw Ranma 1/2 stuff quite a bit, but Inuyasha was nowhere to be found except in Nakano Broadway...
Tumblr media
Starting from top left: A doujinshi I found at a Mandarake, a CD with some of the opening/endings and a pack of playing cards with art from the second movie. Below that I have a Inuyasha acrylic (found that one in a Animate at Ikebukuro), a small shippo figure and volume 4 of Yashahime (with Momo on the cover 🥰). Then below that I got 2 volumes of the wide ban edition of the manga (1 and 30 so the first and last volumes) and the Shonen Sunday S magazine with the latest Yashahime manga chapter. Above that there's Hisui from a Yashahime gachapon and above the beautiful miko Kagome figurine ♥
Tumblr media
She's supposed to sit on a bottle so I cut the top of a plastic bottle, added some wrapping paper and a scrunchy to make some kind of base for her to sit on! I've always wanted that figurine but it's super expensive online so I'm glad I found her at a decent price. The world needs more miko Kagome merch 🙏
Tumblr media
This is the back of the inukag doujinshi I bought, I haven't been able to find that artist online 🤔 If anyone know where I can find them, let me know!
Funny thing, the only time I saw the Yashahime gachapon was at Tokyo tower. I tried it really hoping I would get either Moroha, Hisui or Kohaku and not the others so I'm very glad I got Hisui! 3 out of 8 is not good odds lmao.
Tumblr media
I KNOW there's some actual Inuyasha gachapon out there but I never saw any! Even that Yashahime one was mostly empty 😭
I also visited Niigata, the home city of Rumiko Takahashi. In the Manga and Anime museum there I bought this special fan that was released for the 35th anniversary of Takahashi's career. There was also the same for Maison Ikkoku and Ranma 1/2. I thought it was a really cool find!
Tumblr media
Anyway, Japan let me down a bit in terms of Inuyasha merch but everything else was great (except the weather, seriously don't go in Japan in the summer it's too hot). I definitely want to go back in the spring and see the cherry blossom. I'd also like to visit the south more, like Osaka and Hiroshima.
Yashahime might be a disaster but it's actually thanks to that series that I met the amazing girls I went on this trip with, and for that I am so thankful. We went through hell following that series every week but we ended up with forging really strong bonds and traveling with them felt like being with family!
The real Inuyasha sequel was truly the friends we made along the way 😌🌈✨

Yashahime - Takashi Shiina Blog Translation - Sunday S February 2022 [Part 2]
12/27/2021
Tumblr media
The first step in the princesses' journey is the village of the exterminators. The spotlight is on the grown up Kohaku-kun, and we look back at the story of “Inuyasha” from his point of view.
This comicalization starts with an entrance like "me and the reader visit the world of 'Inuyasha' with Towa-chan", and reconstructs the anime as "a story that explains the character of Sesshomaru from the perspective of a new set of characters". Therefore, “the testimonies from different perspectives of those who were there in ‘Inuyasha’” are an explanation that serves as a prequel and, at the same time, a guidepost. The past that boss Kohaku has been burdened with is also fully disclosed in the manga, deepening the interest in the complex shades of the father Lord Sesshomaru.
I interpreted Kohaku-kun as “another Sota-kun who lives in a harsh world”, so in the comic version Sota papa is an over-fond father and boss Kohaku also pampers the three princesses (laugh). I wanted to depict him as a grown up praying in front of the graves of his father and companions, whom he killed while he was manipulated by Naraku, and the fact that he hasn’t completely escaped from his past, but that would make the story darker so I modified it.
In the original Inuyasha version, Kirara-chan is a child who doesn't have speech balloons or anything like that, but in the anime version she is quite vocal, and it feels like she talks a lot when she is imported back into the manga. After wondering what to do (about this) in the comicalization, I interpreted it as “from the human Kagome’s point of view, she’s silent, but from the perspective of the princesses Kirara is relatively talkative”. While I was at it, I tried to make her more cat-like, but it turned out that if I made her too much like a cat, she would become a different person (or beast?), like "she's long when you pick her up" or “she presses your face with her paw pads and sticks to you if you are too sticky". For the time being, I drew it like this (laugh).
I couldn't have a very large group of people riding on Kirara-chan, so a horse was provided for the boss (1) for the later development. When I drew it, I was able to capture the dignity and authority of him as an adult, so I think it was the right choice. By the way, this is just my personal, unofficial backstory, but I think the name of his beloved horse might have been “Kagura”.
Kagura’s final scene is one of the most outstanding, famous scenes of the series, so I really wanted to pick it up, but the dilemma was that if I went too far into it, the balance of the story would swing too much in that direction because it is so impressive. Therefore, after consulting with Takahashi sensei, I decided to limit it to a small cut from the perspective of Kohaku-kun, who had rushed (to her side) and was watching her. In other words, I really wanted to show how she lived her short life to the fullest, even if it was just a glimpse. Her way of life overlaps with characters who appear later.
The centerpiece of the new chapter is the participation of older brother Kouga, who only appears in the anime original work (2). If the anime word line is extended, Ayame-chan should also be there, but due to page reasons she couldn’t appear. It may be that she is in charge of protecting the pack and house-sitting.
As I wrote before, Master Yawaragi has been rejuvenated while slightly changing her standing position. This time she has no (spoken) lines, but in the next chapter she will be speaking in the Kansai dialect, so please look forward to it (laugh).
The first volume of the manga, which contains chapters up to last month, will be released around the 18th of January (3). The first print run has been reduced to a small number, so it will probably run out of stock… That’s what I hope… No, running out of stock means that there will be people who want it but can't get it so it’s not something good. It would be nice to say to Shogakukan “Hey!! You should have printed some more!! Hurry up with the second edition!!” with a smug look on my face. Well, there is also a digital edition, so in case you can’t buy in a shop please consider that option in addition to pre ordering and ordering it. Buy it.

🪐Two boys, alone in space. Sworn enemies sent on the same rescue mission.
Ambrose wakes up on the Coordinated Endeavor with no memory of a launch. There’s more that doesn’t add up: evidence indicates strangers have been on board, the ship’s operating system is voiced by his mother, and his handsome, brooding shipmate has barricaded himself away. But nothing will stop Ambrose from making his mission succeed—not when he’s rescuing his own sister.
In order to survive the ship’s secrets, Ambrose and Kodiak will need to work together and learn to trust each other . . . especially once they discover what they are truly up against. Love might be the only way to survive.
🧡This was an absolute shock for me. I expected to like this book but damn that twist. I came into this book with the idea that this was a half romance half sci-fi. But, I would personally describe this as a sci-fi thriller with a queer romance. This is a YA with what I would describe as a blend of hinted at sex scenes and fade to black. This is what I would consider a medium tier sci-fi aka can be somewhat challenging for some people but the world building isn’t a lot.
🔪The romance was good but at the same time the ending part of the romance wasn’t it for me. I needed more than what we received. To be honest even though the romance was good I would of preferred it to not be so physical based. My only other criticism that I can remember is that I wish we had seen a bit more of untrustworthy behaviour or an outburst towards something after we were showed a certain scene that was recorded.

Choujin X volumes 1 & 2- I couldn’t get into Tokyo Ghoul but this series got me. 4 Stars for volume 1. 4.5 Stars for volume 2.
Inuyasha VizBig volume 1- I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to start reading the manga. This was the first anime I ever watched and I just adore this series so much. 5 Stars.

"It's a rumic world!!"
Day 7 of @rumicworldweek - Happy Birthday Rumiko Takahashi!! 🎉
Sadly, no art for today since it seems I've hit an artblock after drawing for almost an entire week 😭, but to be fair everything drawn for this week was for sensei's birthday after all. I wanted to draw art for Mermaid Saga, One Pound Gospel and Rumic Theatre, but unfortunately there's only seven days in a week (though I have drawn art for Mermaid Saga like a week earlier and I have drawn an art for one of the Rumic Theatre stories months ago. Sorry One Pound Gospel, eventually!!) And plus, when it comes to topic of Rumiko Takahashi and her works, I decided to talk about it rather than draw...
Rumiko Takahashi... Honestly, all her works mean a lot to me. Each have it's own reasons, reasons why they're more than just mere stories to me. I guess it's mainly because of how good of a storyteller she is. Here's a little tidbit from her which may show why:
Tumblr media
And boy, does it make me feel exactly how she wants it to. She knows what the reader looks forward to and she delivers just that while having fun. The amount of love and passion in her works in insane and the little details put to the story and characters are exactly what I love about her tales. Then there's the amount variety when it comes to her stories which I think is the most obvious when you pick up just one volume of the rumic theatre, one moment you're reading a hijinks story about a boy who just want to deliver newspapers but keeps getting interrupted by invaders and half- fishmen and the next moment you'll be reading a horror where this high school kid who knows archery is trying save his girlfriend from being murdered by his yandere cousin.
Honestly, just the amount of one shots she have is enough to prove how much as well as the number of chapters her serializations have is enough to show how much dedication and passion RT has for manga and this dedication is just what makes their quality so good. Urusei Yatsura makes me laugh and reminds me to have fun and enjoy life. Maison Ikkoku taught me about growing up. Mermaid Saga is a spine-chilling story which talks about the price of greed. Ranma 1/2 brings about the topic of familial love besides the romance itself. I've only watched the OVA for One Pound Gospel, but what intrigues me the most is the fact that the main pairing is a boxer and a nun, it's like the strangest pairing you could make but Kosaku and Sister Angela make it work and let's just say I love these kind of strange pairings, lol. Inuyasha talks about letting go from the past while still keeping the important within you. Kyoukai no RINNE is quite nostalgic to me as someone who grew up in a family who's very keen on saving money and a lot of moments make me laugh because I've been similar situations and it's nice to look back on them. And finally, MAO is the series I'm currently growing up with.
I know Rumiko Takahashi will never see this but.. Thank you so much for everything, your characters and stories managed to lift my spirits in the darkest of times and remind me that everything will eventually be okay. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this and all of what I've said is why I love Rumiko Takahashi and her stories.... ♥
I'm glad that I was able to participate in this year's Rumic World Week. Thanks to everyone who's liked and reblogged my posts and I hope everyone reading this has a great day ahead!! 🌹

Very rarely should a manga series last for over a decade and past 50 volumes.
I say this because we're at the point where My Hero Academia only has its final volume worth of chapters left to serialize, just in time for its 10th anniversary. And while I have many issues with how the final saga has unfolded, I will commend Horikoshi for his good sense of timing. For the most part, I feel like narrative-based manga that go for longer than 10 years and 50 volumes overstay their welcome. Skip Beat!, The Prince of Tennis, Case Closed, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, and dear lord One Piece....manga such as these drag to the point where anything that might have attracted me to their stories in the first place is usually just straight-up gone by the time they hit that 50th volume that they aren't going to end with. I get that mangaka need to make money, but there has to be a limit for artistic integrity's sake!
But with that said, there are three ways for there to be an exception.
The first is obviously if there is no narrative drive or character development to the series. Gag manga like Crayon Shin-chan or a perpetual procedural series such as Golgo 13 qualify here.
The second is if the manga is generational, with different narratives and new protagonists over the years. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Pokémon Adventures are textbook examples.
And the third is if it's Gintama.
Tumblr media
15 1/2 years and 77 volumes, yet it never felt fatiguing! How did Hideaki Sorachi do that!?

For the rwby ask thing, 7, 20, 28
Thanks for asking!
7. Favorite lines?
Most of my fave lines are bittersweet or sad-yet-hopeful, thanks to Volume 4. Blake and Ghira’s talk, Ruby’s speech at the end. “You didn’t drag us along; you gave us the courage to follow you.” Also Ruby resolving to 'keep moving forward' despite her fear in v5.
There's this line in the 2nd RWBY Beyond episode where Jaune wonders "Do you think we're gonna make it?" and it's just so topical now because it was made at a time when RWBY's future was uncertain. No matter what, they're still gonna try, and that's worth it.
On a lighter note, sometimes I remember Vol 2's “They don’t give out prizes for almost” “They do and they’re called silver!” and it cracks me up every time.
20. What are you looking forward to seeing in Vacuo?
The new headmaster, Theodore. We got a hint at his design in the RWBY Beyond shorts, but I can’t wait to meet him. The Summer Maiden, if she’s even in Vacuo, so we can complete the set (and gear up for Maidenbowl #3). Renora growth (even though they aren’t together) because I love them both and I love them together and I want the best for Nora. Emerald being a good guy now and how that has changed how she interacts with people.
I am also interested in seeing, even though it will break my entire heart, Oscar/Ozpin’s struggle with the merger. I just want Oscar to be happy, and I am fearful that we might lose something once they are one consciousness.
28. Fairytale character you'd want to see RWBYified?
Okay, so lame answer but I’ve been watching Inuyasha recently… and Viz Media got big bc of the Inuyasha localization… and he’s got a ‘faunus trait’ with the dog ears…it makes too much sense.
For actual fairytale characters, maybe “the Lion and the Mouse” from Aesops fables. It’s a very RWBY moral, that a smaller, more simple soul can still make a difference. I also loved Fenix’s design from the Grimm Campaign, and would like to see something like it in the show.

top 5 manga ♡
!!! let’s go!! a forewarning though— I’m a shoujo/romance girlie through and through
1. fruits basket of course ! 🥹🥹
2. A Sign of Affection 😫🩷
3. Blue Spring Ride
4. InuYasha
5. Kamisama Kiss
I’d say that these are the series I’m constantly rereading and have several volumes of in my collection (I’m still building it but fruits basket and inuyasha volumes are really hard to find where I am tbh so I’ve mostly read online what I don’t physically own yet) but also honourable mention to Sailor Moon, Yona of the Dawn, Black Bird by Kanoko Sakurakoji, Peach Girl, Futari de Koi wo Suru Riyuu (does this manga have an English title?? I don’t even know but it’s cute af), and lastly In the Clear Moonlit Dusk by Yamamori Mika amongst many others

Anotações soltas 09/09/2024 (texto, escrevendo, 2024)
- Pena que as críticas do filme Borderlands estão ruins. Gosto muito do jogo e com sucessos como The Last of Us e Fallout, adoraria ver o filme conquistando mais fãs.
"Tomaranai mirai wo mezashite..."
Me chame se houver alguma mudança drástica, ok?”
Coro assentiu e continou a cuidar do pássaro.
