I am currently trying to wrap my head around Blender and there is this super helpful tutorial on CGCookie that starts with the most basic things like creating, moving and deleting objects. And I love it.

They have the first parts on Youtube and ALL the parts on CGCookie.com for free (you just need a free account).

oh thats why my black and white mode mspaint wasnt working.

(The second one is a portable harddrive so that's a temp one-but i tried moving my programs over to my SSD boot and it won't let me! ah the agonizing wonders of program organization. I've never been good at this = ~ = )

welp- in the mean time i'm going to invest into a classic pc tower- thinking the Optiplex, but honestly i'm not that tech savy.

Hi! You can call me “take” (like the English word) or “takey”. I’m an artist with a background in physics. I’ve made 3D art before, but recently I’ve become interested in node-based and procedural material workflows. I am just beginning! This blog will be for posting my works and WIPs, questions and connecting with others! My main illustration and chatting blog is @life-take .

Currently I’m learning with Blender, but I’m hoping to focus on Substance Designer eventually.

I also have an intellectual interest in shaders because I studied light (as astrophysics) in college/grad school, but I decided to focus more on art than physics/programming.

“Iridosite” is based on the word “iridocyte” which is a cell that produces iridescent color in certain animals. I repurposed it to be my “site”. I also like how it looks now like a mineral’s name, because I love rocks.

Here’s an example of a model I made way back in 2015 in Maya. I was unable to work for several years since, but I hope I can post more soon!

Aggh feeling super proud of myself like im getting on so well atm im learning to drive and im learching french and my art is going really well and ive been enjoying spending time with myself and ive been organising more things for my future and now it feels possible and i hit that deadline and ive been more equiped to deal with things that definetly would have given me a breakdown in march and like. This year is going to suck and im not getting everything i want done but its not going terribly either

Hello friendos, I have decided to dust off this space and allocate a corner of it to my BG3 shenanigans - from modding to just general game talk and art! This will still be a multifandom space but I'd like to sequester a few tags and keep tabs on all my thoughts and creations here.
