Janeth & Tom's St. Augustine Elopement

Tom & Janeth had a full day elopement in the oldest city in the U.S.! We started our day eating crepes—J&T met at a crepe shop—exploring the city and historic sites before heading to a local castle. We ended the day on the beach with their ceremony and a luxury picnic by Honey Even Co.

Zaheer Iqbal's Eloping Plan with Sonakshi Sinha: A Wedding Tale

In a recent interview with Galatta India, actor couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal shared the story of their wedding, which took place last month. The couple described their union as “one big party,” attended by close friends and family. However, Zaheer originally had a different plan for their big day.

A Different Vision

Sonakshi always envisioned a wedding in front of her family, but Zaheer had a more adventurous idea. “I wanted to elope!” Zaheer revealed. He explained that his plan was to leave the country, get married abroad, and return home. Unfortunately, this plan hit a major roadblock. “I got to know that the wedding wouldn’t have been valid in India! You can’t go to Vegas and get married, that��s not allowed,” Zaheer shared.

Navigating Legalities

When asked how other couples manage foreign weddings, Sonakshi clarified, “They must be coming back and doing some formalities here also.” The legal hiccup led to the immediate cancellation of Zaheer’s plan. “That was always my plan!” Sonakshi emphasized, highlighting her preference for an intimate ceremony with close family and friends.

The Intimate Wedding

The couple’s registered marriage took place at Sonakshi’s Bandra apartment on June 23, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. This was followed by a star-studded celebration at Mumbai’s Bastian. Sonakshi reflected on the day, saying, “I always wanted a very intimate wedding. He is ok as long as our most important people were there, which is our friends and family, who were present at the signing. We opened it out to all the people we know, who have been a part of our lives. That’s how we always wanted to be. Zaheero and Sona ki shaadi hai, party toh banti hai. That’s exactly what it was, one big party.”

A Cinematic Love Story

Zaheer made his film debut with the Salman Khan-backed drama Notebook. It was at a party hosted by Salman Khan, who also launched Sonakshi’s career with Dabangg, where Zaheer and Sonakshi first met. The couple later worked together in the 2022 comedy-drama Double XL, alongside Sonakshi’s friend Huma Qureshi.

Their journey from meeting at a Bollywood party to planning a wedding that combined their desires for adventure and family presence is a testament to their unique love story.

Also, tomorrow marks my one year anniversary of starting Critical Role. This show literally changed my life. I’m so grateful that I get to watch these friends play this game every week, even if I have to wake up at 4 am for it (yes I’m coming out as European I literally willingly wake up every friday at 4 am to watch the new episodes live even though I have Beacon). But anyway enough sappy stuff. This piece (which is my greatest piece ever, let’s be honest) includes a lot of cute details which I will highlight under the cut!

First, these are Dorian and Orym’s full outfits that I had pre-drawn so it would make the process much easier. I did swap out some little things.

Now for the final piece:

- Dorian’s wedding ring includes an emerald (obv bc Orym’s color is green. And it has leaves wrapped around to symbolize Orym’s ties to nature. I did use a lovely reference for this ring from pinterest. Even though Orym’s wedding ring doesn’t show here, I would like to think it has a blue sapphire surrounded by swirly wind designs to symbolize Dorian’s air genasi heritage.

- The embroidery on Dorian’s vest references the day and night cycle, with the sun being highest and the moon being lower. (Also I fucking ate these pearls, they’re stunning)

- Even though Orym’s beautiful tattoo is covered, I still referenced it by ‘carving’ it into his shoulder pauldron. Big moon, little moon.

- Two clothing details on Orym: another Will reference, Orym wears Will’s sash.

- The silken squall wings which are a reference to Dorian’s first outfit.

- And finally, Dorian wears a bunch of flowers in his hair. They’re all white with the exception of a single blue flower. This is in reference to the blue flower Orym druid crafted into Dorian’s hair in one of the very first episodes of the campaign to help Dorian’s performance check. It’s one of their very first cutesy moments, so I thought it was a lovely little detail to include.

Word on the curb is they're secretly engaged and have been for a few months (No, they're not hiding anything from anyone...TJ is just private as hell and doesn't like folks all in her business Lol). TJ has met Deijah's family (dad, brother's, nieces/nephews) but Deijah has yet to meet TJ's, but she will be soon since Melo is planning a family trip/get together while he's on vacation in Del Sol Valley. 😂

It's so cute, he misses TJ the most (since they don't get to see each other as often *sighs in adulting*). They have enough chatty family calls & Facetime to get them through. He was actually the first one to know about her engagement. 🥺
