I think Rodri was always going to win it when Spain won the Euros. Same way I think that Jude wins it if England had won the Euros. Same for Vini Jr if Brazil had won a trophy.

#tbf we do need some major court cases to force the international and national bodies to prioritise player welfare #rugby is a good example of this working actually #like he’s probably going to have chronic injury issues the rest of his life bc of mismanagement by the rfef including when he was a minor #gross negligence and overwork of minors is a form of child abuse @ pedri SUE THEM !!!#euro 2024 #I mean in the rfef’s ‘defence’ they did very blatantly add a pedri Clause to the child safeguarding policy they introduced last year #(again. they didn’t even HAVE ONE until last year)#but like their current policy still isn’t enough .#(it doesn’t conform to international best practise standards in child safeguarding nor does it draw from #exstant policy recommendations regarding child pro footballers made by unicwf)

You've got to understand these guys, this is where they were brought up. This is where a lot of who they are today comes from and when they go and represent their country and put their shirt on, it’s not just another game of football for them.
