Worst part about studying and finding out how the world works is the need to go outside and start shouting "DO YOU SEE THIS SHIT??? CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS???? SHOULDN'T WE STOP IT??" This awful grief that comes from thinking that if we explain this stuff really well, it will stop. As if you're the first person to crack the code, so now you can drag your Plato ass back to the cave and show your companions the way to the light.

Alas, people know that this is how it works. Not everyone does, for sure, and educating and organizing are powerful tools to fight against it. But it's a knowledge that a lot of people possess, and they're fine with it. It's great for them, actually. That is how the world works.

And I am going to end my El Internado rewatch posts on Ivan and Marcos, who started the show by wanting to punch each other’s teeth in and ended up as best of everything, incandescently happy and utterly free, having burned down the Nazi school from hell to the ground.

This was a rare show that held up on rewatch - I still laughed and sniffled and shipped and raged and swooned. It had some awesome performances and characters but was held together by really solid writing that knew what to keep and to discard and aaaaaaaa such a pleasure!

And yes, Ivan x Julia are still in my Top 5 tv OTPs and Ivan in top 5 fave TV characters. Here we are.
