@vvindication sorry for tagging you, but I thought you might like this other piece of my writing I translated *stares into the sky, waiting for a punishment from the heavens for my arrogance*
November 17th, 741, 7:23 AM. Rodgaard, Pervorodina. The Founding Stone. Anton Wladomojski, President of the Republic of Czarnovia-Sevraport, is walking down a winding, completely empty corridor. He is intently watched from the frescoes on the walls by politicians and bureaucrats, warlords and apostles leading faceless rabble. Like waves following celestial propulsors, the human masses consumed every obstacle on the path set from above - the Elven civilization, wiped out to the last tribe, the renegade states that defied the supremacy of Rodgaard and Divine Sevra, the socialist and anti-colonial forces of the recent past, trampled by measured economic pressures.
The pristine twilight of the millennia-old chambers, the dusty and unmoving air pressed tangibly on the President; the image of the Founding Stone, built up over centuries of human statehood, suggested to anyone entering the palace only one thought: the history of civilization is entirely woven from the aspirations of its greatest representatives, and therefore those who entered the palace through the front door could hardly expect anything.
The asymptote of the corridor finally approached its limit - room №1002. The metal plate with the frightening inscription "COMMITTEE OF MESOECONOMIC ARBITRATION" was unpleasantly out of the surrounding antique surroundings, which made Wladomojski feel even worse.
The redwood parted with a rumble, and the servant of two nations found himself in a room flooded with painful light. Its ringing emptiness was interrupted only by a huge oak table, which strongly resembled the cathedra of a courtroom. The resemblance to a punitive chamber was reinforced by five immovable men in black robes who had already taken their rightful places.
- Anton Wladomojski, right? Czarnovia-Sevraport? Please have a seat, - the sucralose voice of the chairman of the arbitration committee sounded from somewhere in the center of the room, - I hope you got a good night's sleep, *pan prezident*.
The president's eyes still hadn't gotten used to the bright light, so he couldn't make out the faces of his judges or the minor objects of furniture. Fortunately, by the grace of an invisible assistant, another anachronism - an uncomfortable aluminium chair - was beneath him.
Wladomojski was drowning in the green-pink ripples of nervous tension, suddenly feeling acutely his senile weakness, undoubtedly aggravated by alcoholism.
- Some vodka, Mr. Wladomojski? For courage, - a woman's voice and a leaden crystal rang out from his left.
- Thank you, but let's get straight to the point, - Anton Borisovich felt that he was one drop of alcohol away from a heart attack.
- As you wish, Mr. Wladomojski.
The rustling of thick reports and muffled whispering suddenly filled the office, but stopped just as abruptly after the chairman's laconic request:
- Enough. The decision's already been made.
- So what is it?
- Let's go through the entire chronology..... Last December, the Republic of Czarnovia-Sevraport requested a loan of 4 billion reserve kupon-karbovantsy from the Interbank, pledging to repay the amount over the next five years. Interbank reviewed your request and offered you a draft of a loan with an initial interest rate of 10% and an annual increase of 1.70% up to and including 18.50%. You declined, citing, uh, "the unthinkable audacity of compound interest" in your address to your citizens this March. Of course, hardly anyone in Rodgaard would condemn a healthy dose of populism, but you never offered a more reasonable proposal.... We met you halfway, and developed a new project, which implied a reduction in the rate increase to 1.20%, in exchange for pledging part of your state property - first of all, PAO Alchemmach, PAO Simfolijsk Tractor Factory and PAO Thaumenergo. You refused this offer too, demanding a constant interest. And here we are. We have only one offer left for you.
- I'm listening.
- A 12.50% fixed-rate loan in exchange for... 51% of stocks of Alchemmach, Simfolijsk Tractor Factory and Thaumenergo.
- You're... asking for a lot. I'm not sure Simfolijsk will approve of this.
- You can still decline. But we all realize that you *need* that money.
Wladomojski closed his eyes. The pleading faces of Republican ministers emerged from the flickering painful darkness. Without Anton Borisovich, Czarnovia-Sevraport would never have existed, and so the nation still hoped that their president could lead the country out of crisis...
- Miracles don't happen, Mr. Wladomojski. Economic modeling shows that if you refuse our conditions, you will face inter-sectoral economic disintegration. In other words, total decay, - the arbiter of fate seemed to have read the old man's mind.
The president was going through his recent memories as if scrolling through a diafilm. Desperate ministers, deputies understandably blocking the reduction of welfare spending, furious civil servants and workers, who have been starving for months.... ancient monuments of Simfolijsk, his hometown, forgotten and neglected by his own government.
For the tiniest moment it seemed to the father of the nation that he could still turn around it all, immediately cut all ties to the Rodgaard scavengers and save the dying Republic without bargaining with conscience, but the nerve pathways were already burned out on his isocortex - too much time was spent on lavish festivities, talks about "integration" and copious infusions of ethanol. It was too late.
In Wladomojski's hand was an extremely incommodious pen with ink of the traditional crimson color. It traced several quivering lines on the snow-white paper like a wounded, bleeding animal.
- It's a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. President. Come again anytime you need.

Market concerns over fiscal policy deepen, pushing long-term interest rates up in Brazil
Worries about public debt sustainability drive future rates to their highest level since March 2023
Tumblr media
Pessimism among financial agents regarding the government’s fiscal policy has deepened recently, leading to widespread stress in the interest rate market. Medium- and long-term future rates, typically more sensitive to risk perceptions, have surged to around 13%, prompting the National Treasury to issue fixed-rate bonds at rates above this threshold. This shift reflects growing investor skepticism about the government’s ability to achieve the fiscal adjustment deemed necessary to stabilize the debt trajectory.
Last week brought a new wave of asset price deterioration in Brazil, particularly affecting the yield curve. On Friday, Brazil’s interbank benchmark rate, known as CDI, for January 2030 climbed to 13% for the first time since March 2023. A day earlier, the National Treasury issued long-term fixed-rate securities (LTNs) at rates exceeding 13%, underscoring the heightened risk perception that has also weighed on the exchange rate, with the FX rate again crossing the R$5.70-per-dollar mark.
Market participants acknowledge the widespread pessimism, noting that even if the government meets its primary result targets for this year and the next, high spending levels—some of which fall outside the fiscal framework—and parafiscal stimulus measures contribute to a deteriorating outlook. This sentiment is evident in the elevated prices of domestic assets.
Pedro Dreux, macro manager and partner at Occam, describes the repricing of risk premiums as “unquestionable,” attributing it to the government’s fiscal policy stance. He notes that while the market initially gave the government the benefit of the doubt, believing in a credible adjustment through the fiscal framework, the continued rise in the debt-to-GDP ratio and preference for increased spending have eroded confidence.

Hello! The LATAM dates anon is me. Ahh sorry I gave you a bit of a chaotic ask! I’m not sure if LATAM really isn’t selling well - Lou’s Mexico dates look sold out - but I read stuff on Twitter via various fan accounts that made it seem as though sales in some countries were slow and they were really trying to drum up sales by giving tickets away etc. I also saw a couple of other tumblr blogs mentioning poor sales but I realise now these accounts are kind of ‘Louis hate accounts’ (urghh) and they’ll say anything to put him down.
I guess I just wondered if you’d read anything different about LATAM? I want it to be amazing for him. He’s such a gem and I really want him to do have great shows out there.
Can’t remember what other stuff I asked…but thank you for taking the time to respond! Xx
No don’t stress at all lovely!!! I appreciate the q’s, but they were different topics so just wanted to break them down xx
Alrighty, let’s look at LATAM ticket sales. Anon, welcome to the show.
Let’s look at some tickets available, capacities, and then I’ll chat more about venue modes and draping etc for some more context.
So, the best selling show in LATAM looks to be Arena VFG, in Guadalajara, Mexico. I’ve had a bit of a look online, and it looks like the show is entirely sold out. That has a capacity of 15,000 , and looks full concert mode, but that doesn’t mean he will have use of all 15,000. The capacity would prooooobably look more like 11,000 - 12,000ish, as an estimate. I haven’t been to the venue so I can’t be 100% on that, but they’re not selling 15,000 tickets to it. We’ll circle back to this later.
Then, his show at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, is a race track used for Formula 1 events, music festivals, and stuff like that. It’s said to have a capacity of 110,000, but of course would be a reduced mode due to the fact that well… that’s pretty impossible for any artist to sell out. Hell, TS’s biggest concert ever was 96,000 people at the MCG in Melbourne, Australia in 2024. Ed Sheeran did 109,500 people in one night at the MCG in 2023. Harry’s biggest show in Australia for LOT was 69,512 people at Accor Stadium in Sydney, which for both show nights, had a capacity of 70,170 people (the first night sold 66,791).
Louis’ show at Arena 1 in Lima, Peru, has a promotion on until the 15 Match 2024 for 25% off certain tickets (the promotion started on 2 November 2023). It can hold up to 16,000 people, and by the looks of it is mainly used for concerts, not sporting events. So they could be selling an amount of tickets that’s closer to their actual capacity, as opposed to the other venues. Again, I haven’t been to it so I can’t be sure. The discount on these tickets, however, is only for people using payments of “Credit, Debit, Business, and Working Capital Cards”. We see similar promos with other artists, such as MasterCard pre sales, American Express presales, etc., but I haven’t seen discounted tickets like this for other artists off the top of my head. However…
I looked at Louis’ 1st June 2022 show at Arena Peru Explanada in Lima, Peru, and according to Team Louis News on Twitter, it sold out. They said it has a capacity of 15,000 people, but again, doesn’t mean every seat was utilised, but it doesn’t look like it’s used for sport, so they could’ve gotten close. And, funnily enough, at this arena and show, there was a 15% discount if you paid with an Interbank Credit or Debit card.
A lot of stadiums are owned/sponsored by banks, or insurance companies, or these companies may have a large share of profit for the money they invest in it etc., and it’s a great way of advertising. Signing up for a bank for discounts of tickets at their venue(s)??? Yes please. So, you can see the appeal. And I can 100% guarantee you that this is a partnership and a condition of said bank investing in the stadium. A quick look at their other shows, every artist (Lauren Jauregui from Fifth Harmony, Paramore etc.) has a special discount based on if they used that bank’s cards to pay for tickets. So it’s not “oh louis could NEVER sell enough tickets, he’s a flop” and whatever these losers say, it’s that certain arenas (clearly more prominent in LATAM) will have discounts on tickets due to the partnership with the bank that invests in them.
NOW
let’s circle back to capacities. this frustrates me to no end because people throw these numbers around all the time and it just… that’s just not how it works.
You can find a capacity of a venue pretty easily when you google said venue, and often people go “oh wow, this artist is playing a venue that holds 100,000 people!!!!” which is yeah, you’re right, that venue does hold 100,000 people, but that depends entirely on the mode, stage setup, and how big the artist is. Also, if it’s used as a sports stadium as well, it’s gonna hold a hell of a lot more people than a concert mode, because they can utilise every seat. You can’t just sit behind the stage at a concert, but you can sit anywhere during a football match. So that’s a major difference in ticket sales already.
If you’re someone like Harry, who has a big old T catwalk and a larger built out base/main stage, that’s gonna lower the capacity of the venue. So then they make more of it GA on the ground as opposed to seating, to make the capacity higher again. But he plays stadiums, which are used for sport, and so he’s not utilising the whole capacity as it is.
BUT Ed Sheeran did the thing.
At the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground, used for cricket and AFL etc.), Ed Sheeran sold sooooo many more tickets than TS, because he had a 360 rotating stage in the middle of the stadium. SUCH a good idea, but that doesn’t work for an artist like TS or Harry. They perform and run up and down cat walks and dance and flail about, Ed Sheeran doesn’t. So, yep, the stage setup can seriously affect the capacity.
Then, estimated ticket sales. Louis sold out his last time in Peru, at a different arena, but it’s pretty safe to say he’ll sell out this one too (hopefully). But, that arena last year might not have been utilised at 15,000. So it’s a bit of guess work too, and finding out what he sold last year (which is easy if the same promoter is hosting but idk I haven’t looked that deep in hahaha but I’d say it’s the same one still).
And when tickets go on sale, they’ll release a certain amount (obviously smaller amounts in pre sales to see how it’s selling), but the ticket website doesn’t tell you how many tickets are left. Why would they? That defeats the purpose of trying to tell people that they might miss out. If the website says there is 10,000 tickets left, you’ll wait til closer to the time to buy one because you’re not worried. But, that skews ticket sales and a show can be cancelled over that, which is happening a fair bit at the moment with ticket reselling websites that aren’t authorised by the venue. I can go into ticketing and ticket reselling further if you’d like but yeah… best we stay on topic.
So, if a show sells enough to at least make a small profit, but isnt sold out regardless of capacity size, the promoter will often put a thing called “drapes” over a certain amount of seating to the side of the stage. These are just big black curtains that cover those seats to make it look more full. It’s what you’d call a “reduced mode”. And, that’s also a way they can use bigger venues if an artist won’t quite sell it out, but they’re too big for a smaller scale show and either don’t wanna do a couple of nights in a row or the smaller venue is super booked out etc. And, artists can sell out a reduced mode, which is great PR for them.
Anyway, there are a million variables that happen with shows. But, capacity does not equal ticket sales, discounts at venues does not equal the size of the artist, and I’m sure Louis is gonna do great in LATAM. I’ve seen so many people excited!!!
Hope this helps/makes sense. Thanks anon!

Several signs point to a recovery in the housing market, according to Kauppalehti, which examines recent trends in Euribor rates.
The Euribor is short for the Euro Interbank Offered Rate and is based on the average interest rate at which European banks borrow from one another.
The most common reference rate for Finnish housing loans, the 12-month Euribor, fell to 2.548 percent last week. Market forecasts expect it to dip to around two percent by next spring — a trend expected to boost the housing market, which is already seeing signs of revival. Prices of older homes outside urban centres are higher than they were a year ago — something not witnessed in over two years, according to the business daily.
The European Central Bank (ECB) has cut its key interest rates three times this year: in June, September, and October. Danske Bank's chief analyst, Minna Kuusisto, suggests there will be another cut in December, with rate reductions continuing quarterly into next year.
Nato nation
Finns widely support the stationing of Nato troops in the country. A survey by the agricultural paper Maaseudun Tulevaisuus finds that only ten percent of respondents oppose the deployment of these forces on Finnish soil.
"Support for Nato in Finland turned very quickly when Russia invaded Ukraine. Since then, support has remained at 'North Korean' levels in a positive sense," said former commander of the Finnish Defence Forces and current MP Jarmo Lindberg (NCP).
Overall, attitudes toward international defence cooperation in Finland have changed rapidly and permanently—likely as a result of Russia's brutal acts of aggression, MT reports.
Snow season
Winter is on the way, says Iltalehti, claiming that an area stretching from Lahti to Lappeenranta will see up to 15 centimeters of snow on Friday.
Weather service Foreca forecasts snow showers and strong gusts of wind for the weekend.
According to IL, the capital area will see its first snowflakes on Friday, but the white stuff won't cover the ground for long, unlike in Kainuu in the east, where driving conditions will turn wintry on Saturday. More snow is in store for northern Finland on Sunday.
Lapin Kansa meanwhile says Thursday night was the coldest of the season so far, with the temperature dropping to -16.7 degrees Celsius in Savukoski, Lapland, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

The financial markets in Ukraine have stabilized despite the ongoing war, the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Andriy Pyshnyy, said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine on Oct. 15.
The hryvnia exchange rate has not been reacting to Russian attacks for some time now, he added.
"It is evident that currency fluctuations have a significant psychological component," said the governor.
“While earlier (at the beginning of the war) the cash exchange rate reacted noticeably to attacks, now it has not been doing so for quite some time.”
Pyshnyy first noticed this situation in October 2022, shortly after taking office, when the first massive strikes on critical energy infrastructure began, leading to prolonged power outages.
"Later, I noticed that the correlation between attacks and currency dynamics disappeared because we had already experienced that first moment and had our first experience," the banker said.
“Unfortunately, we have become somewhat accustomed to the threat of missile strikes and the unpleasant buzzing of 'mopeds' (slang for Shahed drones -ed.) Living in a reality of constant threat, we have become not indifferent, but alert.”
This transformation in public consciousness was also reflected in the currency dynamics at that time.
"We even saw a reverse correlation between attacks and currency dynamics, but of a different nature: after each severe bombing or escalation on the front, which we endured without breaking, there was even a certain revaluation," the central bank head stated.
He recalled that at that time, the NBU did not yet have a tool like managed exchange rate flexibility, but the cash exchange rate reacted in this way.
"We called this among ourselves the 'resilience factor'," Pyshnyy said.
“The exchange rate as a reflection of society: each time we and the hryvnia recovered. My colleagues and I even tried to calculate this 'resilience factor' and include it in the forecast as one of the positive risks because we repeatedly saw how this situation worked in matters related to the resilience and adaptability of Ukrainian businesses, which is often discussed.”
The NBU transitioned to a regime of managed exchange rate flexibility for the hryvnia on Oct. 3, 2023. The official exchange rate began to be determined based on the rate of transactions on the interbank market, rather than being set directly by the central bank.

Quantum Financial System
Tumblr media
