80’s Girl Misaki outfit finally arrived, thanks to a wonderful W Club member from Moscow.

The shoes were a nightmare to get on (zippers in back should be standard, I don’t care how unaesthetic that is) and I broke one earring + one of the magnets on a heart pin came broke despite being never removed from the accessory packaging. :’) I can glue them back together, but ooof.

She is super pretty with her outfit on, tho’!

Today's stop on the nostalgia train-- Zodiac Girlz dolls. These were originally released in 2003, manufactured by Integrity Toys back when they still had a playline division, though the branding on the boxes said '3 Muses' (this was the company that originally designed the characters and ran the ZG website). This initial wave was exclusive to KayBee Toys and retailed for $9.99. In 2005, long after they disappeared from shelves, 3 Muses offered a second, web exclusive wave with 7 of the 12 characters getting completely redesigned outfits, but with the seemingly ludicrous hike in price to $17.99+shipping I declined to purchase any of them. Slight regrets on that front, but eh, at that point I was deep in my Pullip era and my funds were needed elsewhere XD

At any rate, this was a cute if short-lived line, and ultimately I'm glad I've held on to them for all these years. As you can see several of them were redressed in Bratz attire at some point, but I still have all their original kit in storage, so yet another future project will be to restore them to stock for display. I'll post more detailed photos of the individual dolls whenever that happens.
