What We Know About Series 14
Doctor Who series 14 is coming up next year. This is a roundup of advance information and leaks about the season and the preceding Christmas special. Sources are at the very bottom below the cut.
CAST
Tumblr media
Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. Unlike his predecessors, this Doctor changes his outfit a lot.
Tumblr media
Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Like her actress, Ruby is a native of Manchester.
Returning characters:
Tumblr media
Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart, head of UNIT.
Tumblr media
Bonnie Langford as former companion Mel Bush.
Villains:
Tumblr media
Jinkx Monsoon as a villain favouring piano-themed attire, described as "the Doctor's most powerful enemy yet". Not everyone survives the encounter...
Tumblr media
Indira Varma as the Duchess. RTD: "a whole new audience will be hiding behind the settee when the Duchess unleashes her terror." Varma previously played Suzie Costello on 2 episodes of Torchwood.
Other characters:
Tumblr media
Aneurin Barnard as Roger ap Gwilliam.
Jonathan Groff as a "mysterious key" character.
Tumblr media
Lenny Rush as Morris, in time for the Doctor's "greatest nightmare". RTD: "But what secrets does he hold? What's secreted in the Segway?! And will his terrifying probabilities be proved true..?"
Jack Forsyth-Noble as Will.
Gemma Arrowsmith and Mary Malone will appear in the Christmas special, while Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy and Billy Brayshaw will appear in separate episodes.
Tumblr media
Also announced to be appearing: Sophie Ablett, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Bhav Joshi, Millie Kent, Eilidh Loan, Pete MacHale, Miles Yekinni, Hemi Yeroham. Dobson previously appeared in the audio play "Blood of the Daleks".
EPISODES
There will be a Christmas special in December 2023, followed by an eight-episode season. (The BBC posted that the season would air in spring, but then removed the information.) Russell T Davies is the showrunner.
A guest star from 2005 returned for the special.
Episode 1's title was coincidentally spoken aloud in a third-season episode of Star Trek: Picard. It includes the words roar, Glastonbury, and conquistador.
Episode 2 contains the words Liverpool, legions, and non-diegetic. Scene 10 begins "INT. CANTEEN. DAY."
RTD thinks episode 4 is one of the best things he's ever written. The line "I once went to the top of the Shard" was cut from it.
The script for episode 7 begins with the line "INT. COFFEE BAR, USA — DAY, 1947".
Episode 8 will contain the words kingdom, gold, and Tigella. Scene 73, featuring the Doctor and Ruby in the TARDIS while "enemies are being fought", was the last scene filmed for the season.
Tumblr media
There's a 1960s episode, featuring the Doctor and Ruby in snazzy period outfits.
Tumblr media
The episode guest-starring both Varma and Groff will be set in the Regency era. "Dress to impress, and beware the Duchess."
CREATOR RAMBLINGS
According to RTD, we will be "staggered" by the 2023 festive season surprises.
There are monsters which are "impossible to describe" without referencing Fourth and Seventh Doctor adventures.
RTD promises that there are "plans still unfurling" which have yet to be made public.
Production designer Philip Sims said he was excited about "designing a new Dalek".
Davies has hinted that the blue doors Michelle Greenidge and Anita Dobson were photographed with are significant.
Script editor Scott Handcock mentioned filming which required nine babies, as well as Ncuti and Millie.
Monsoon's first day on set "teams her with an unexpected name from the Tom Baker era".
Anita Dobson has said she's playing Ruby's neighbour, whose name is either Mrs. Flood or Blood.
RTD used a potato emoji while commenting on publicity photos from the Regency episode (Sontarans?). Davies was also very coy about the identity of Groff's character.
RTD mentioned one episode having gone through three titles with no decision having yet been made. Another episode had "sixpence" in the title for a while, until the coin was cut.
RTD teased a famous guest star appearing in a scene with a giant statue head in the finale.
While writing about the final days of filming, RTD said that "Yasmin Finney wrapped a few days ago".
OTHER
Filming began on December 7, 2022 and wrapped on July 14, 2023.
Block One was directed by Dylan Holmes Williams. Block Two was directed by Mark Tonderai. It included the Christmas special. Block Three was directed by Julie Anne Robinson. It contains "two wildly different episodes, by two different writers". Block Four was directed by Ben Chessell. Block Five was directed by Jamie Donoghue.
Posters of the Doctor and Ruby.
Fifteen will be getting a brand-new sonic screwdriver.
previous
Leaks and sources below the cut!
LEAKS
Michelle Greenidge appears to be playing Ruby Sunday's mother. Since Greenidge and Millie Gibson are different ethnicities, she is presumably an adoptive, foster, or step mother.
Campaign posters for the "Albion Party", with Roger ap Gwilliam as the "Space Saviour", were spotted on location filming.
Jinkx Monsoon is in the '60s episode.
Millie Kent is playing Valerie, and Sophie Ablett is Marti Bridges.
Mel Bush will be appearing in the season finale.
Reports from finale location filming, albeit second-hand, of someone on set saying, "This is where the Daleks come in".
According to his CV, Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy will be playing Carson in an episode directed by Julie Anne Robinson.
Davina McCall may be the returning 2005 guest star. She will apparently host a genealogy show on which Ruby appears, and will be crushed by a falling Christmas tree.
RUMOURS
UNIT may be getting its own spinoff. (SOURCE)
The DWM production journal has led some fans to theorize Steven Moffat will be returning as a writer.

Look, I get that as a Star Trek fan, I should be happy. Oooh, look at all the new Trek that's coming!
But there are lines in this story that make me obscenely, indescribably, unrationally outraged.
“We take it very seriously,” says David Stapf, president of CBS Studios. “‘Star Trek’ is one of the most valued, treasured and to-be-nurtured franchises in all of media.”
WELL YOU HAVE A FUNNY WAY OF SHOWING IT!
Paramount's stewardship of Trek post-Roddenberry has always annoyed me but this quote shows how tone-deaf these people are. Through their actions they show that when they mean valued, they mean profitable and what they can get out of it. When they mean treasured, they mean it's to be mined for gold and leveraged for our own ends, not the good of the franchises. And nurtured? How? With money? Yes, I'd say they're pouring more into Star Trek then ever before, but also why does everyone working on Trek feel they need to make clear the franchise is good value for money? Case in point from the story: "That tension isn’t exclusive to the film studio. I lost count of the number of times someone made a point to note, with real pride, how one or the other of the “Star Trek” TV productions is saving money, whether it be “Section 31” repurposing sets from “Discovery” or “Strange New Worlds” redressing the same set to be everything from crew quarters to a sparring gym. No one will get specific about budgets, but Kurtzman says that “Section 31” costs “so much less than you’d ever make a ‘Star Trek’ movie for.”"
Are they nurturing the fan base? How exactly? The article goes into great detail about how well Trek is doing on Paramount+ but fails to mention that Paramount+ itself is not doing well. Why are you hiding Trek away on a platform few people use? Because like Voyager on UPN in the 90s, Trek is THE DRAW. But you can't draw new fans on a platform no one is watching. How many people discovered the old Trek shows because they were/are on platforms people can access easily? You own a legacy TV network? Why isn't at least ONE of the Trek shows predominantly on CBS? Then you can use it as a taste at least to get people to sign up and see the others? Then there's the haphazard way they handle merchandising and licensing for the new products. You have amazing new series. How are you getting them into the hands of young people? Even Prodigy didn't air on Nickelodeon right away. As a result, you have this greying of the franchise issue.
"I ask “The Next Generation” star Jonathan Frakes, who’s acted in or directed more versions of “Star Trek” than any other person alive, how often he meets fans for whom the new “Star Trek” shows are their first. “Of the fans who come to talk to me, I would say very, very few,” he says. “‘Star Trek’ fans, as we know, are very, very, very loyal — and not very young.”" Paramount needs to change tact. Take a page from Disney/Lucasfilm. Sure, they are certainly trying to turn Star Wars into the proverbial dead horse to be beaten, but the Star Wars generational legacy is secure.
They need to stop speaking in platitudes. You say Trek is valued? Then SHOW IT.
Let Trek fly in the mainstream.
Give it a wider net to catch new fans.
Actually show faith in it, rather than using it as an IP for making money. Be more accessible.
Oh and fix your damn licensing on Deep Space Nine and GET ME MORE MERCH TO BUY!

Stonathan Week Day 2: Roommates - Slightly inspired by the video of Charlie Heaton and Joseph Quinn at an Arctic Monkeys concert together.
Steve overhearing Jonathan mention a one-night stand while playing Animal Crossing with Argyle gets him to ask the big question on his mind.
Do I Wanna Know?
written by @xirayn and @aibhlynn
Trying something new by writing screenplays rather than short stories. Feedback on this format appreciated.
Tumblr media
INT. APARTMENT – JONATHAN’S BEDROOM – EVENING
A bedroom with a mix of modern and retro decor. It is lived in, but not cluttered. There are posters for the Arctic Monkey’s ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’ and ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ on the wall. A record player is set on a cube shelf with a milk crate of vinyl records beside a desk with dual monitors. A Nintendo Switch is set up in front of the smaller monitor. JONATHAN is leaned back in a computer chair with a gaming headset on and a controller in his hand. ANIMAL CROSSING is on the screen with characters that are obviously JONATHAN and ARGYLE fishing. JONATHAN’s character pulls up a horse mackerel.
JONATHAN
Great, another horse mackerel. They're barely even worth selling.
ARGYLE
(Through the headset)
Dude, catching the fish is not the goal.
JONATHAN
Maybe for you. I need a surgeon fish for my museum.
ARGYLE
You should have asked me, brochacho. I have, like, five of them in storage.
JONATHAN
That feels like cheating.
ARGYLE
If you say so, my dude.
On the screen, ARGYLE pulls up a moray eel.
ARGYLE
Score!
JONATHAN’s character gets another bite. It is an anchovy.
JONATHAN
Damn it.
KEVIN, an orange pig in a blue sailor suit complete with hat, comes on screen to seemingly watch them. ARGYLE laughs. JONATHAN glowers.
JONATHAN
Stop judging me, Kevin.
ARGYLE
Dude, are you still pining over Steve?
JONATHAN
I am not, nor was I ever, pining over Steve. I have Olivia around here somewhere for Nancy.
ARGYLE
If you say so, dude. Though, if you aren't looking to knock boots with that fine specimen of a man, I'll gladly take him off your hands.
JONATHAN
You and everyone else. He's out on another date tonight. He even wore his ‘lucky jeans’ that show everything.
ARGYLE
Man, my dude, for someone who says they aren't jealous, you sure are crushing the vibe with your jealousy.
There is a pause filled by the sound of ARGYLE taking a drink.
ARGYLE
Or is this about Eddie?
JONATHAN
What?
JONATHAN misses reeling in another fish.
JONATHAN
No. This isn't about Eddie. That was - It was just a hook-up after the concert last Saturday. And I'm not jealous or stuck on the fact I was supposed to go to that concert with Steve.
ARGYLE
My dude, your voice does not match your words. It's clear as day, you are hard for Harrington. Why did he miss the concert, anyway?
JONATHAN
A bachelorette party came into the bar when they were already slammed, so he offered to stay.
The fishing rod JONATHAN’s character is using breaks. JONATHAN puts his controller on the desk and scrubs his hand over his face.
JONATHAN
Fuck.
ARGYLE
Fuck because you banged Eddie and not Steve?
JONATHAN is quiet for a long moment, simply staring blankly at the screen. He finally heaves a sigh.
JONATHAN
(Quietly)
I don’t know. Maybe?
ARGYLE
If you could do it over again, would you pick Steve?
JONATHAN
If it wouldn’t mess up our friendship and my living situation or make my life extremely awkward?
JONATHAN hesitates before shaking his head and picking the controller back up.
JONATHAN
Yeah.
JONATHAN misses the sound of the door opening as STEVE comes home early. The LIVING SPACE of the open concept apartment is an eclectic mix that shows STEVE and JONATHAN have been sharing space for a few years. The large flat screen, a graduation gift from STEVE’s parents, is a prominent feature. There is also a record cabinet full of vinyls with a Fisher MC-4550 stereo and a bookcase with authors like Vonnegut and Gaiman. STEVE looks tired and irritated as he takes his shoes off to throw in the closet before heading to his room.
ARGYLE
You worry too much, my guy. Stop being indecisive or worrying he’ll be all weird about your fling with Eddie and get sloppy with your hot roomie.
JONATHAN
It was a drunk one-night stand, not a fling.
STEVE stops outside the partially open door, having heard JONATHAN say ‘drunk one-night stand’. He frowns, then looks guilty and decides to go get a drink from the kitchen where it will be harder to hear JONATHAN.
ARGYLE
One-night stand, fling, either way you boned the metalhead, man.
JONATHAN
I know that, flight just sounds like it was something more than sex.
ARGYLE
Fair
ARGYLE starts running his character in random patterns around JONATHAN’s character, who is doing idle animation as JONATHAN simply holds the controller.
ARGYLE
Was he at least good?
JONATHAN
He knew what he was doing.
ARGYLE
Come on, bro, give me the details of your sordid encounter with the guy across the hall. Eden will want a play by play and I have to please my goddess.
JONATHAN
My sex life is not your foreplay.
STEVE knocks over his cup when his attempt not to eavesdrop fails. Water spills over the tile as the cup clatters on the floor. The sound is loud enough that JONATHAN takes his headset off and turns his chair toward the door.
JONATHAN
Steve?
JONATHAN sets his headset on the desk and pokes his head out of his room. STEVE freezes as if he just got caught doing something wrong.
JONATHAN
How long have you been home?
STEVE
A few minutes.
STEVE grabs the cup and puts it in the sink before taking off his wet socks. He puts them on the floor after looking around to decide an acceptable spot and grabs a dish towel.
STEVE
She stood me up.
JONATHAN
That’s rough – Have you eaten yet?
STEVE
No. I came right home when I realized my date was a no show. Have you?
JONATHAN
No. I was going to warm up some leftover, but we can order a pizza. Let me just tell Argyle I’m done for the night, then I’ll clean that up while you put the order in.
STEVE
Okay. The usual from Enzo’s?
JONATHAN
Sure.
JONATHAN goes back into his room and puts the headset back on. He picks the controller up to log off.
JONATHAN
I’m done for the night. I’ll talk to you later, man.
ARGYLE
(In a teasing sing-song)
Have fun, dude.
JONATHAN goes to clean up the spill. STEVE is heading to his room in the background on the phone as he puts in his order. Once JONATHAN is done, he sits on the couch. STEVE emerges from his room shortly after in gym shorts and a tank top.
STEVE
So, did you have fun with your mystery guy?
JONATHAN
You mean the one-night stand I was talking to ARGYLE about?
STEVE
Yeah.
STEVE drops onto the couch and stares at the ceiling. JONATHAN looks at him thoughtfully
JONATHAN
I guess.
There is a long moment of silence. STEVE is obviously debating something while JONATHAN waits for his response. When STEVE finally speaks, he sounds small and keeps his eyes on the ceiling.
STEVE
Why him and not me?
This is very obviously not what JONATHAN was expecting for STEVE to say.
JONATHAN
What?
STEVE sits up enough to look at JONATHAN.
STEVE
Why him and not me? Fuck, dude, I've been trying to gauge your interest for months by wandering around shirtless in those side split shorts I wore to Pride last year.
JONATHAN
I thought that was because of the heat!
STEVE
At first, sure. Then I noticed you staring and thought maybe you were interested, so started doing it more, but you never said anything.
JONATHAN
Of course I didn't! We've been friends since high school. I'm not going to risk that for sex.
STEVE
(Quietly)
Not just sex.
JONATHAN
(Shocked)
What?
STEVE
It won't be just sex. At least, not for me.
JONATHAN
(Cautiously)
Me either.
STEVE laughs and shakes his head. JONATHAN joins him after a beat.
STEVE
Shit. We're both dumb.
JONATHAN
Yeah.
STEVE and JONATHAN look at each other with matching fond smiles. STEVE starts to move in, but JONATHAN’s smile falls and he shrinks back.
JONATHAN
It was Eddie.
STEVE stops. He doesn’t move back, though his smile is replaced by a look of confusion.
STEVE
Eddie across the hall?
JONATHAN nods.
STEVE
The same metalhead who drives you crazy by playing his music too loud?
JONATHAN
Yeah.
STEVE
When?
JONATHAN
After the concert last week. You couldn’t go, and I didn’t want to go alone, so I asked him.
STEVE sits back and rakes his fingers through his hair. He frowns.
STEVE
Yeah, okay. I can see why. Honestly, I’ve thought about it myself, I just – It kind of hurts that it wasn’t me. I’ve been pining after you for months now.
JONATHAN
It didn’t mean anything. We had a few drinks at the concert, then shared a joint after and –
JONATHAN shrugs.
STEVE
You don’t have to explain anything. I still wish it had been me, though.
JONATHAN
Maybe next concert if you don’t cancel on me.
STEVE leans in again, his voice taking on a teasingly seductive tone as he gets as close as he can without actually invading JONATHAN’s space. Everything about his body language invites JONATHAN to close the distance between them. JONATHAN appears unfazed.
STEVE
Are you seriously going to make me wait?
JONATHAN
At least a first date.
STEVE laughs. His phone rings and he picks it up.
STEVE
Challenge accepted.
(Answers phone.)
Hello. Yep. I’ll be right down.
STEVE hangs up. He heads for the door, opening the closet and putting on some flip-flops. Before he leaves, he turns back to JONATHAN.
STEVE
How about right now? We can do dinner and a movie.
JONATHAN rolls his eyes with a fond smirk.
JONATHAN
Fine, but you have to actually pay attention to the movie, and I’m not answering any questions until after the credits.
STEVE
Deal.
There is a smutty continuation to this that I was not able to edit in time. The entire thing will be up on AO3 when I get to it.

working at arkham came with explicit and obvious risks, one that brooklyn remained privy to when it came to anything she did. luckily since she worked in the basement in bookkeeping, she rarely had to come in contact with any of the prisoners. but when the alarm went off alerting the staff of an escaped prisoner, she found herself on edge. she knew that she had to get to the designated ‘safe room’ for events like these, but something in her gut was telling her to stay put. despite this gut feeling, she slowly began her ascent to the safe room. that’s when she found herself suddenly cornered with the patient that the staff was most likely on the hunt for, the man holding a makeshift weapon in his hand. her breath caught in her throat as he charged her, a sudden pair of arms wrapping around her and finding herself pulled into a shielding embrace. a noise of surprise escaped her as she was pulled into the embrace, a look of apprehension in her eyes as she glanced up to scan over the other’s face in confusion. “dr. crane, are you okay?” had the weapon actually hurt him? had he been stabbed?

“Get the fuck up! We gotta go!”
A harsh cough rattled your lungs as you awoke, blinking quickly to try and clear your vision and orient yourself. “Wh-” you grumbled, scrambling to get on your feet.
A hand grabbed your arm, pulling you to your feet. Your mind quickly caught up with your body and you began to sprint. Behind you, a snarl echoed through the empty warehouse, spurring you further forward and out of the building. “Get in the car!” Billy demanded, and you followed his instructions with no second thought.
As soon as you both had sat down, Billy sped out of the lot and down the long stretch of road. “What the fuck was that?” he shouted, his voice strong despite the clear wooziness that plagued both of you.
It was familiar, that you knew. That presence, it was something that had left a large imprint on you. You thought it was gone. You thought you didn’t have to suffer any longer.
But whatever that thing was, it was more than you had ever seen. It was new, worse than anything you had ever experienced. It scared the shit out of you.
So you only half-lied when you responded, “I don’t know.”
Within moments, Billy screeched to a halt in front of a phone booth. You both stumbled out of the car and tucked yourselves away in the glass box, praying that it would be enough to shelter you from whatever that being was, if only for a few seconds. As you leaned against the wall to try and get a full breath of air int your lungs, Billy held the handset to his ear and dialed 911. From where you stood, you could hear a tinny female voice come through the speaker.
The single light above your head began to flicker, and any hope that you had in your mind that this was something completely foreign flew out the window.
You and Billy exchanged a glance as the light died out, and he hung the handset up before hesitantly pulling the phone box’s door open and stepping out. You followed behind him, footsteps sounding in the distance as you stared out at the open road where the car’s headlights illuminated a path. A thick fog had settled over the air, ashen particles intermingling with the fog and creating an all-too-familiar dread in the pit of your stomach.
As the two of you walked forward, the silhouette of a crowd could be seen through the haze, their footsteps growing closer and closer to you.
“What do you want?” Billy huffed, standing his ground in the middle of the road. You stood beside him, but your fear was evident. “Hey! I said, what do you want!”
“Billy-” you attempted to stop him as a clash of thunder and flash of lightning streaked the red night sky.
“I said, what do you want!”
The crowd froze, and two individuals stepped forward, their features materializing through the fog.
Features you knew as well as your own. Features that were your own.
***
When you finally came to, you were already at the pool. You assumed you had just zoned out this morning, too wrapped up in whatever happened last night to realize what you were even doing.
But that was the thing. You couldn’t remember what happened last night. Sure, you remembered the crash, and that thing, those people. But that was it. Everything else was blank.
You felt different. Like your skin was on fire and your insides were frozen solid. Every light was too bright, every brush of wind felt like you were being whipped, and every sound was far too loud. And you were so thirsty.
These new feelings made working at a pool more miserable than it already was. You tried your hardest to push through it, ignore the pain and just get through the day, but it proved to be much harder than you were anticipating. In order to live through the day without feeling like absolute shit, you had swapped shifts with Heather, allowing you to sit in the air-conditioned office and work at the entrance to the pool.
The day had gone smoothly for the most part, except for the lingering feeling of wrongness that had settled deep into your bones. It was that same feeling that had plagued you when you were stuck in the upside down, a sense fo familiarity in a completely unfamiliar place. But, at the same time, it was like nothing you had ever experienced, like your entire being was just a thought shoved in the brain of a body you didn’t own.
You were about to get up and grab another bottle of water from the fridge when a figure appeared at the front counter. “How many?” you hummed, pulling your sunglasses over your eyes to block out the sunlight.
“Are you okay?” the person responded, and your shoulders slouched at the familiar voice.
“Hey Steve. Sorry, I didn’t realize it was you.”
he scoffed, folding his arms across his chest. “Just a ‘hey, Steve?’ You didn’t call me last night! I drove over here and you weren’t here but your car was! And now you look like you’re dying and you didn’t even recognize me!” he shouted.
You winced at the volume of his voice, your head pounding. “Sorry, sorry. My car broke last night and I had to get a ride from Billy.”
Steve vividly stiffened. “He didn’t... Do anything, right?”
“No! God no! He- he just dropped me off and I fell asleep and forgot to call you. that’s all.”
“That’s all that happened last night?”
“I said, what do you want?” Billy’s voice roared, nearly matching the intensity of the thunder clapping in the sky.
You stood stock still as the mirror image of you stepped closer and closer until they were toe to toe with you.
Your clone and Billy’s clone spoke simultaneously, a singular bellowing voice echoing out, “To build. I want you to build.”
“To build what?” you snapped, fingers curling into fists.
“What you see.”
Your brows furrowed in confusion and you stepped back.
“I don’t understand,” Billy huffed. With a clap of thunder and a flash of lightning, the figures disappeared, leaving you and Billy alone on the deserted street.
“Billy, we need to go-”
“I don’t understand!” he snarled, spinning in circles and taking in the dramatic change of atmosphere that happened in a split second. “What do you mean? I don’t understand!”
A startled gasp fell from your lips as you snapped out of your memories, eyes wide as you fixed your gaze back on Steve.
“What the hell, Y/N? Are you sure you’re okay?” Steve urged, reaching forward to touch you.
You recoiled, stumbling out of your chair and onto your feet. “I’m fine,” you hissed, winding your jaw tight.
“Y/N, you’re clearly not-”
“Steve!”
He jumped at the tone of your voice.
“I’m fine. Just drop it. I need to work. I’ll call you tonight.”
He mirrored your clenched jaw, but he nodded and walked away without another word.
You collapsed to your knees with a shuddering sigh. You weren’t okay, and you wanted to tell Steve. You wanted to beg for help, for him to take you to a hospital or something. But there was this weird switch in your mind, a defense mechanism of sorts, that turned you into a completely different person. It was like you were possessed.
Your reflection on your current state was cut short, though, when a guttural yell echoed from the showers. You sprung to your feet and rushed over to the showers, only to run into Heather who had heard the same thing. You two shared a look before hurrying over to the only running shower.
However, as soon as Billy’s crumpled form came into view, your body began to move on that same autopilot that it did just moments ago, your mind and being possessed by an entity that you couldn’t hold back. Silently, you stood behind Heather as she called out Billy’s name, hoping to snap him out of his stupor. After a few tries, she was successful in catching his attention.
“Billy, are you hurt?” she asked, lowering to her knees in front of him.
“What?” he gasped, brow furrowed.
“I said, are you hurt?” She let out a huff when he continued to stare. “What’s going on? I heard screaming. Should I call an ambulance?” She glanced back at you, confusion further marring her features when she noticed the rigid-but-dazed state that you were in.
You watched as Billy’s eyes lifted up to yours, and then everything went black.
***
The bumpy road made you dizzy as you stared at the road ahead. The car was completely silent, except for the revving engine and the thunder, of which you couldn’t decipher if it was coming from outside or if it was inside your head.
The car rolled into the familiar gravel lot that sat outside the abandoned building. You and Billy robotically exited the car and as Billy opened the trunk, you began to slowly descend down the metal stairs that fed into the building’s basement. Once you were at the bottom, you sat on the concrete floor and stared into the deep black abyss that laid just feet from where you were.
Billy’s footsteps echoed throughout the building as he walked down the stairs, his figure and the limp body he was carrying coming into view. As he walked past you, nausea settled in the pit of your stomach and you were positive that you were going to vomit, but you couldn’t even move.
He gently laid Heather’s now-alert body on the cold concrete between you and the staring darkness. Her eyes locked with yours, silently begging for mercy, and your eyes began to well with tears along with hers. Billy whispered lowly in her ear before rising to his feet and standing next to you, both of you disturbingly still as a growl echoed through the humid air.
From the darkness emerged a creature created from limbs and blood and gore, its monstrous body crawling towards the sacrifice you had involuntarily placed before it.
Beside you, though, Billy was able to tear his eyes away from the sight, anger radiating off of him. You, however, couldn’t force your body to look away.
***
When Max said that Billy may be doing something weird, Eleven didn’t expect this.
Through the empty expanse of black, a car sat feet away from her. BIlly’s car. The headlights glowed bright into the dark, illuminating the large shatter on the windshield as she walked over to the driver’s side and peered inside.
Soft whimpers reverberated through the empty air as she rounded the back of the car, glancing into the opened trunk before looking up and seeing Billy’s figure knelt on the ground.
“I found him,” El announced.
“What’s he doing?” Max inquired.
“I don’t know. He’s... on the floor... talking to someone.”
Billy’s voice mingled with the harsh whimpers from a disembodied voice as Eleven walked closer, anxiety gnawing at her lungs as she struggled to gasp in a breath.
As she walked, she nearly stumbled over another figure that sat on the floor, a few feet away from Billy.
“Y/N,” Eleven breathed.
“Y/N?” Max nearly shouted, and Eleven imagined that her eyebrows had shot up to her hairline. “What is he doing to her?”
“Nothing, she’s just... sitting there.” Eleven knelt in front of you, examining your face. “She’s crying.”
Just as she was about to reach out and touch you, Billy rose to his feet, startling her attention back to him.
And he looked at her. He saw her.
With his eyes locked on hers, her heartbeat jumped to her throat. There was something off lurking behind his eyes, something disturbed. But as soon as she saw him, he was gone, evaporating into nothingness.
She gasped in terror and ripped the blindfold from her eyes, light flooding her vision as blood dripped from her nose.
“What is it? What happened?” Max urged, reaching forward and touching Eleven’s arm in an attempt to ground her back into reality.
***
By the time that you had left the Hargrove/Mayfield residence, exhaustion had settled deep into your bones. Silently, you trudged along the broken road that winded from Billy’s house to yours and reflected on everything that had taken place in the last eight hours.
You felt... disgusting. Monstrous.
You couldn’t remember much of it, but what you do remember made you ponder who you really were. Were you actually you? Did you truly do those heinous things? Or were you just a pawn, a puppet forced to orchestrate these terrible acts to appease these beings?
You were so deeply entrenched in your own thoughts that you didn’t even notice the pair of girls walked towards you.
“Y/N?” Max voiced, startling you.
“Max! El! Hey! What are you guys doing over here?” you hummed, smacking a smile onto your face and acting like nothing was wrong.
The two girls exchanged a look. “We were, uh, walking to my house. What are you doing?”
You nodded, awkwardly crossing your arms over your chest. “Oh, I was just taking a walk. Needed to stretch my legs.”
“Right.”
“Right.” You pursed your lips and looked over to El who was staring at you with a strange look. “Well I should probably get going. It looks like it’s gonna start raining soon. You guys stay safe, okay?”
They both nodded, but their demeanors were unusual. They were usually so comfortable around you, and it made you worry that you had done something to them that you couldn’t remember.
“Bye, Y/N,” El spoke finally, nodding at you before Max grabbed her by the arm and pulled her away.
***
With adrenaline coursing through their veins from what they found hidden under the bathroom sink, the two girls rushed to the heart of town to dig further.
As they exited the pool house, they noticed Jonathan and Nancy leaving the Hawkins Post. They ran over to the other pair, calling their names.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Nancy asked the girls, her brows furrowed in confusion from their panicked states.
“Have either of you talked to Y/N recently?” Max inquired, leading the group under a large awning attached to one of the shops on the block to escape from the rain.
Nancy and Jonathan both shook their head.
“Why? Is something wrong?” Jonathan spoke up.
“She didn’t show up to work today. Neither did Heather or Billy,” max explained.
“She probably didn’t feel good and she stayed home,” Nancy tried to reason, giving the girls a reassuring smile. “Besides, I doubt Billy and heather skipping work has anything to do with Y/N.”
Eleven vehemently shook her head. “She was with Billy,” she argued, anxiety evident in her voice.
That made Jonathan and Nancy exchange a look between each other before looking back at the girls. “What do you mean?” Nancy urged.
“Last night, we were messing with El’s powers and we decided to spy on Billy. We thought it was gonna be a bad idea, but we weren’t expecting...” Max trailed off, searching for the words. “El saw Y/N with Billy. She was sitting behind him, and she was crying, and he was talking to someone.”
“And this morning,” El broke in. “She was walking from Billy’s house.”
Max nodded. “We looked around and we found a whole bunch of lifeguard stuff hidden under the sink. We don’t know if it’s Y/N’s or someone else’s but-”
“It was bloody.”
The same panic that the girls felt began to invade Nancy and Jonathan’s systems, their hearts palpitating and their breathing becoming ragged. “Oh my god,” Nancy breathed out finally.
“Maybe it’s nothing,” Jonathan spoke, shaking his head. “Maybe we’re just reading into it too much. I’ll call her tonight and check in on her. It’ll be okay.”
The girls nodded, but that anxiety still lingered in the air. They hadn’t even mentioned what El had seen in the showers at the pool, but they thought that it wasn’t dire at the moment.
“Do you guys need a ride home?” Nancy asked, breaking the silence.
“No, we still need to do something,” Max stated vaguely before the two girls pulled their hoods over their heads and ran through the rain over to their bikes.
***
The rain was pouring outside as you tucked your hair behind your ear, a blank look on your face. In the dining room, Heather’s parents chatted idly with Billy while you and Heather meandered dazedly around the kitchen.
Some sort of bell or signal appeared to go off in your mind, as you slapped a smile on your face and made your way into the dining room, sitting in the chair besides Billy and joined in on the senseless chatter.
After a few moments, the chat fell silent, and you and Billy lifted your gaze to see Max and Eleven standing in the doorway of the dining room. You noticed both girls were taken aback by your presence, reeling for a moment.
“Max,” Billy stated plainly.
“We didn’t mean to... Barge in,” Max began to explain, finally finding her voice. “We tried to knock but maybe you didn’t hear us over the storm.”
“I’m sorry, but who is this dripping all over my living room right now?” Heather’s father spoke up, shifting to look at the two girls.
You and Billy both chuckled, exchanging a glance before you subtly gestured for him to introduce them. “I’m sorry,” Billy hummed. Janet, Tom, this... Is my sister, Maxine.”
“And her friend, El,” you added, following Billy as he stood up and walked over to the two girls.
“What on earth are you doing here?” he grumbled. “Is something wrong?”
“We just wanted to make sure everything is okay,” Max explained, quickly glancing over at you before returning her gaze to Billy.
“Okay? Why wouldn’t it be okay?” you spoke, looking between the two girls.
Max looked at you incredulously, as if that was a rhetorical question, before Eleven spoke up: “Where is she?”
“I’m sorry, where is who?” Billy hummed, a playful tone in his voice.
“Well, they’re a little burnt, I’m sorry-” Heather rambled as she brought a tray of cookies into the dining room, pausing when she saw the small group gathered between the living room and the dining room.
“Heather! This is my sister, Maxine! And I’m sorry, I did not quite catch your name...”
“El,” El stated plainly, fire in her eyes.
“El.”
“Now, what is it you were saying, El? You were looking for somebody?” you said sweetly, giving her a smile.
El’s brows furrowed confusedly as she looked over at Heather, stutters falling from her lips. I-I saw- I saw you-” El tried to formulate.
“Your manager,” Max cut in. “At the pool. He said you guys didn’t come into work today, so we got worried.”
“Heather wasn’t feeling so hot today, so we all thought we’d take the day off to nurse her back to health,” Billy explained, smiling at you and Heather. “But you’re feeling just fine right now, aren't you, Heather?”
“I’m feeling so much better,” Heather agreed, shaking her head emphatically. As Billy turned back to the girls, Heather offered the two girls a cookie. “They’re fresh out of the oven.”
“No, no, we should get going,” Max voiced, gripping onto El’s sleeve and giving you one last worried look. “Let’s go.”
“Billy, do you mind walking them out?” you asked, smiling at the two girls.
“Of course,” Billy nodded, walking behind the two girls as you made your way back to the table.
“Well, they’re quite lovely,” Janet noted. “So nice of them to check on you two, even if they dragged some mud in doing so.”
“They truly are the sweetest,” you agreed. “Sorry about all of that, though.”
As Heather’s mother began to go off on a tangent, a sharp pain began to course through your skull. Suddenly, visions of El sealing the gate closed flashed before your eyes, her screams piercing your ears. You gripped onto the table and watched black veins creep up your arms between flashes of the burning orange gate slowly web closed. It left as soon as it came though, though the veins still lingered on your skin and a heavy fog clouded your mind, inhibiting your thoughts.
The creature took over your mind, taking advantage of the fog to make you act as if nothing was wrong. You watched Billy walk into the room and sit beside you, him seemingly in that same daze.
“Is everything alright?” Heather questioned, brows knitted in concern.
“Yes,” Billy stated simply, and you took note of the black veins that snaked in his eyes when he glanced at you. “Everything’s fine.”
“Your sister really didn’t want to stay?” Janet asked, mirroring her daughter’s concern.
“No, she’s just not... you know, really a people person.”
“Well, I just don't like the idea of them out there in the storm like that.”
“Oh, they’ll be fine,” Tom huffed, clearly wanting to end the conversation.
Janet nodded hesitantly and reached for her wine, only for her hand to graze the glass and knock it over. “Oh!” she exclaimed, grabbing a cloth napkin and beginning to dab up the spilled liquid.
“I told you to slow down on that wine, Janet,” Tom grumbled, shoving another forkful of food into his mouth.
“Yes, darling.”
“Are you okay, mommy?” Heather asked, her brows furrowed once more.
“Yes, I’m- I’m just... Feeling a little lightheaded is all.”
As Tom made another comment about the wine, you and Heather and Billy exchanged a look, all of the emotion gone from your faces. Out of your peripheral, you watched as Heather’s mother rose from her seat, only for her to collapse to the ground.
Heather’s father shot to his feet to help his wife, all the while you three gripped your weapons in your hands. You handed Billy a bottle of chloroform and as he wet his cloth napkin with it, Heather carried her wine bottle into the living room. Silently, you both followed behind her and watched as she swung the bottle into her father’s skull. Billy handed her the napkin a moment later, and Heather quickly finished off the remaining half of her parents.

“Jonathan, where are you taking me?” you asked.
In this moment, you found yourself being led deeper and deeper into the woods. Jonathan Joestar had a firm grip on your hand as he pulled you further through the trees.
Earlier that day, the young man suddenly appeared at your front door with sweat causing strands of his hair to stick to his forehead and a blush dusting his cheeks. He looked like he had just gotten done wrestling a bear or something along those lines, but no amount of exhaustion was going to stop the excitement lighting up his eyes and his smile.
“Please, come with me for a little bit,” he had panted softly, stretching his hand out to you. “I would like to show you something.”
You knew he wasn’t the type of person to pull tricks on you (unlike his adopted brother), so you had taken his hand. He then gently pulled you out of the house and lead you into and through the nearby woods.
The whole trip had been rather quiet, as he was so focused on leading the way.
It was only now, about twenty minutes later to be exact, that you had decided to speak up to ask him what he was doing.
Jonathan turned his face towards you and smiled.
“Fear not,” he nearly chirped. “We’re nearly there. It’s just through this shrubbery.”
You looked ahead and watched as he reached out a hand to pull back what looked like a curtain of leaves. Slowly, he drew you closer to that curtain and unveiled the surprise.
Instinctively, you blinked in surprise at the magnificent structure in front of you.
It was a rather large stone building, outfitted with Corinthian columns and other assorted stone motifs all along the outside of it. Its double doors were of a rich chestnut color, almost like they had just been installed a few nights ago. Just in the space between the door and the ground, the flicker of candlelight made itself known. Candles were carefully placed on the holders built into the outer walls of the structure, as well.
“Jonathan,” you inquired with a squeeze of his hand. “What is this beautiful building?”
“it’s an opera house,” he replied with a grin.
This definitely caught you off guard, and you were more than ready to vocalize your confusion.
“An opera house? In the middle of this jungle of a forest?”
“It confused me as well, I admit. I remember that I asked myself, ‘Why would such a building be out here of all places?’ So, I searched, and I found the reason.”
“And what was that reason?”
At that question, his eyelids drooped just enough to be noticeable and he had a smile that suggested an almost flirtatious expression.
Almost.
“Would you care to come with me to find out?”
Even though you knew Jonathan to be the most caring person you knew, it was definitely hard not to be a little suspicious of his actions and words.
What kind of secrets did this opera house keep away from the rest of the world?
“Well… alright, then,” you declared and returned his smile.
With that, Jonathan led you closer to the opera house.
Though you knew you could easily free yourself from the grasp he had on your hand, his own hand was too soft and warm for you to do a thing like that. You loved sharing little moments like that with him, but it wasn’t like you were all that ready to admit something like that. Jonathan was a very close friend, after all. What would even happen if you opened up about how you felt towards him?
You were pulled out of your thoughts when the hinges on the opera house’s left door creaked and made the whole thing open towards the two of you.
As soon as you stepped inside, you took in the appearance of the foyer.
This room was brightly lit with candles. The floors gleamed at you with the same dark oak sheen the door had given off. Even the outside of the box office appeared to have had some care put into it. However, you were quick to eye the cobwebs and the dust that had coated the insides of it. How could you not, when the rest of the room contrasted so differently to this area?
It didn’t take long for you to figure out why this was the case, but there was no time for you to bring it up; Jonathan was already taking you to the doors that led to the auditorium.
After letting go of your hand, much to your disappointment, he held the door open for you and followed after the second you were inside.
If you found the foyer to be a lovely room, then you weren’t prepared to have your breath taken away.
The auditorium was more sparsely lit by candles, but the darkness only added to its majesty. The wooden parts of the seats gleamed softly, though the upholstery looked a little rougher. Even with that, the red velvet shined and almost seemed to glitter a little bit. The wood of the stage also happened to shine just a little bit. A masterfully-made painting of a meadow decorated the background. Though it was coated in a translucent shadow, every color on the canvas was so vivid, from the blueness of the sky to the greenness of the grass. Even the little yellow flowers brought a lovely touch to the whole piece. To top it all off, the curtains that draped along both sides of the background, though it was in the same condition as the upholstery of the seats, still gave off a shimmery velvet glow in the dim light of the candles. They almost floated in the soft breeze that was drifting around the spacious room.
Jonathan stood close and allowed you a moment to take in the entire room before he finally broke the silence with a softened voice.
“What do you think, then?”
You turned to look him in the eyes, which were staring intently back at you. He had a look that told you he craved your approval, though you knew he wouldn’t push for it.
“It’s breathtaking,” you mumbled.
“I agree. It’s beautiful. So very beautiful… and charming.”
For a fleeting moment, it felt like Jonathan wasn’t talking about the auditorium.
Suddenly feeling a little guilty, you shook that thought out of your head immediately and replaced it with another.
“It makes me wonder even more why it would be located so far away from people,” you wondered.
“Oh, yes!” he stuttered a little before regaining his composure. “I mean, of course. The answer to this inquiry would happen to be right close to the stage. I’ll show it to you at once.”
He slipped his hand back into yours and he guided you towards the stage.
Now that you were a little closer, you could see a little golden plaque built into the wall of the stage’s apron. It was rusted over partially, but you could still make out the words that were engraved into it.
Your hand let go of his hand as you approached the plaque to read it.
“To my darling Ava,” you read aloud as you gingerly traced your fingers along the lettering. “May your voice ring through these halls forever. With My Whole Heart, Jacques LaNaif.”
“And to think,” Jonathan’s voice mumbled from behind you, “That a French general would come all the way out here to create such a grandiose profession of love!”
“It didn’t seem like it lasted all too long” you commented, still studying the plaque.
“Ah, well,” he suddenly found himself stuttering. If only you could see his face.
“But you did do a fantastic job of refurbishing this place,” you added on as you finally turned around to look at him.
Poor Jonathan! His cheeks matched the vibrant red of the seats nearby, and his body looked stiff as a board. If you looked closely enough, you could’ve sworn he was trembling slightly.
One hand was behind his back.
“Jonathan,” you lowered your voice. “Are you alright?”
He inhaled deeply.
“Perfectly fine, my dear,” he smiled, letting his stance relax. “Forgive me, I was caught unaware. To be truthful, I didn't expect to find myself doing any refurbishing. That is, until I found out what this place stood for.” He stepped closer to you. “And then I thought, ‘Restoring the opera house’s beauty would be rather perfect for the occasion’. So, I figured that I might as well act accordingly.”
“What’s the occasion?” you asked with a tilt of the head.
Slowly, the hand behind his back unveiled itself, and with both hands, he held towards you a boquet of wild flowers and red roses.
You stared at him, mouth agape.
“Jonathan...”
“I hid these under the front row before you arrived, but I have been waiting for so long to find the right time and place to tell you how I feel. I’d rather stare death between its eyes than to keep this a secret any longer.”
Jonathan dropped down onto one knee.
“My dear, I have a love for you I just cannot seem to escape. I feel as though I was meant to love you, and it would make me the happiest man alive if you felt the same way towards me.”
“...”
You walked towards him, making the nearby candle flames dance ever so slightly, until you were mere inches away from him. All the while, your gaze never fell away from his eyes. It was like his sapphire-colored eyes had put you in a trance of some sort.
You reached up and placed a hand against his soft cheek.
The poor man, though try as he might, was starting to let the silence get to his head a little. In his mind, he had already been rejected. Even so, he didn’t quite want to have the pain brought so slowly upon him like this.
It dug at his heart so badly, he decided to get it over with himself.
“I understand if you say no,” he begun to say. “After all, I’m not worthy to be seen standing hand in hand with y-!”
His words were interrupted by your lips suddenly crashing into his.
A few seconds of Jonathan being dumbfounded was all it took before his free hand caressed your shoulder and he reciprocated the kiss with his eyes closed. The moment engulfed the both of you before, at last, you pulled away from him and let your other hand cup the other side of his face.
“How could you call yourself unworthy?” you nearly whispered to him. “Jonathan, I’ve loved you for the longest time.”
Jonathan’s eyes shone with tears of joy.
“And I will continue to love you for as long as we shall live.”
You collapsed into his arms, making him drop the bouquet onto the floor. With the newly freed hand, he wrapped you up in both of his arms and nuzzled his face into the top of your head.
A few tears fell from his eyes.
“I love you so much,” he mumbled into your hair.
The breeze caused by the falling bouquet caused one of the nearby candles to go out. Smoke from the blown-out candle floated gently upwards, and it became a kind of wreath that surrounded the love that had blossomed in the opera house.

Ozaena
Tumblr media
Image © Jonathan Hunt, modified from the Warriors of Myth wiki here
[Commissioned by @justicegundam82. I hadn’t actually heard of the ozaena until @a-book-of-creatures debunked it here. Long story short, it’s the name of the musk octopus in Latin combined with tales of giant octopodes and polyps. Its first appearance was by Jonathan Hunt, the author of a modern Bestiary book in the 90s. I’m still doing it for a couple of reasons. One, I was paid $10 to (did you know that commissions are still open?!). Second, there’s plenty of monsters in D&D and PFRPG that are based on syncretism and half-remembered sources, not to mention outright hoaxes like the peryton. And a big blue stinktopus is as good a monster as any. The commissioner wanted it to be CN, which inspired the flavor text of it being curious and gross, rather than outright murderous.]
Ozaena CR 10 CN Aberration This blue creature looks something like a deflated octopus, its body a ragged lump from which dozens of tentacles grow—four of these are longer and stronger-looking than the others. Its eyes are small and beady, set off either side of a jagged beak.
Also known as “stink polyps”, ozaenas are strange aquatic aberrations that combine features of cephalopods and oozes. Their flesh flows freely and their internal organs behave in no sane way, and they have the unnerving ability to squeeze themselves into tight spaces in pursuit of prey or simply out of curiosity. Their appetite for new experiences is almost as voracious as their appetite for food of all sorts, and they often find themselves in conflict with the residents of coastal communities who do not appreciate reeking monsters coming out of the sea to eat their supplies or terrorize their animals.
An ozaena is more likely to touch and pet humanoids than outright attack them (although with the stench and the slime, this is an unpleasant enough experience). They will fight in order to defend themselves or if they cannot find other prey. Although the average ozaena has more than a dozen tentacles, only four of them are strong and long enough to serve as weapons. If attacked by multiple foes, they will spray a corrosive mist in all directions. If badly injured in the water, they will escape through jet propulsion, but will often fight to the death out of desperation on land.
An ozaena is about ten feet in diameter with tentacles reaching an additional 20 feet. They weigh upwards of four tons at the largest.

Kithangians, also known as beast demons, are reprehensible monstrosities born from the souls of those who abused and tormented animals in life. Universally male, the sudden spread of fiendish elements through within an area’s fauna is a sure indication of a kithangian’s presence in a region. The fact that most creatures that birth litters of young with the half-fiendish template die in the process is of little concern to the kithangian, for it merely moves on to new hunting grounds when uncorrupted animal victims grow too rare.

Good For Me
Tumblr media
Adopted Harrington!Sister X Billy Hargrove
After coming home for Easter holiday, you are brought to a small gathering where (surprisingly) a new and improved Billy Hargrove is there. (FLUFF)
Warnings: Mental health stigma, anxiety, ptsd, smut
Words: 3208
You never thought that when you found yourself back in Hawkins for Easter break, you’d be in the Byers’ house drinking with the one and only Billy Hargrove. He had somehow squirmed his way into the Party through his job. He had joined the local police force and worked the job while upgrading his high school courses to have that opportunity to get out of Hawkins. He had managed to weed himself into a place in Steve and Hopper's heart, and after cutting his hair and ridding himself of a denim jacket in place for an officer coat he had tried t become the best person he could.
That’s what Steve had told you when he was laying in your bed earlier that night, anyways. When he had told you that Billy Hargrove would be at the small game night you had choked on the water you were drinking. You had never in one hundred million years thought that Steve Harrington would talk about Billy Hargrove with an air of fondness about him, but here you were, singing your upper lid with blue liner, teasing your hair and listening to what joke Billy had told at the water cooler earlier that day.
The water cooler.
What in the Upside Down was going on?
Steve had sped through Hawkins, stopping to pick up Nancy on the way and drove at concerning speeds towards her boyfriend’s house. After having a good time away from the house, you had managed to shove the dema-trauma down far enough so that when you walked through the screen door your heart rate only increased a little. There were still nails in the walls from when Joyce had absolutely lost it and plastered the walls with Christmas lights, but the new maroon paint that covered the walls made them almost invisible to the eye. They had been hammered into the wall so the head of it was flush against the wall, but your finger still managed to find itself tracing the patterns they made.
When a loud laugh echoed through the house from the kitchen, you jumped and immediately stepped in front of your friends out of pure instinct. You heard Nancy sigh sadly at your remaining PTSD, and when Steve’s hands found themselves gripping your shoulders firmly and pushing them down, you forced yourself to relax. He let his hands find the back of your fur jacket and take it off you, throwing it on the hook and grabbing your hand to gently pull you towards the source of the noise.
You walked into the kitchen and the warm light of the stove accompanied by the many lamps almost immediately grounded you further, and when you saw Jonathan leaning against the counter with a beer in hand you found comfort in his mousy appearance.
“Y/N!” He exclaimed, the alcohol in his system made his voice slow and he stumbled towards you with wide open arms. “How’s Hawkins’ Princess liking the big city?” He murmured, kissing the top of your head affectionately. You smiled when you heard Nancy scoff and rolled your eyes when Jonathan replied that she was, indeed, the Queen.
“The big city is just as amazing as you could imagine it to be. Sure, the pigeons are bountiful, but the street food is good.” You smiled. “How is it working at the Hawkins Sun?”
“Boring, if I’m gonna be quite honest— nothing really happens much anymore, but we’re not complaining.” He smiled, wrapping an arm around Nancy and pulling her towards the table. There were a few sets of cards and poker chips sprawled over some old flyers and you almost laughed at the poor excuse of a veggie tray in the middle. Full of tomatoes and broccoli and questionable ranch dressing. The quality of the food from the grocery store had never astounded you, but this was just pathetic— you were used to much better food living in such a big city. You took a beer gratefully from Steve, and he ruffled your hair roughly and before you managed to fight back, the screen door slammed shut. You were once again thrown on the edge, and you waited with bated breath as you waited for whoever was coming around the corner.
You didn’t expect to see someone who resembled Billy Hargrove turn the corner. He Wass almost indistinguishable from his high school days— his shoulders had broadened at least an inch, and his thighs had managed to become even thicker (maybe it was just the jeans). You would have assumed this was a stranger if it weren’t for the trademark smirk that adorned his features. He dropped a case of beers at the counter, and he turned slowly towards you with a hand on his hip and a look in his eyes that made a chill run up your spine.
“Well, well, well. Look who managed to grace us with her presence. Miss Y/N Harrington. What a sight for sore eyes.” He wandered over to you slowly and grasped his hand in your own. The warmth and roughness of it caressing your own so gently made your cheeks flush and your gaze drop to the floor. “How’s the Princess, today?” He murmured.
When Billy had seen you the minute he turned around the corner, his heart had clenched so tightly that he almost dropped the case. You had been such an unreachable entity during high school— being Steve Harrington’s adopted sister, he knew he would never be able to lay a hand on you without facing some sort of tremendous repercussions. When he sauntered over to you and clutched your soft hand in his own he could have stayed int hat moment for the rest of time. When you flushed under his gaze and low voice, the blood in his body rushed south— you reacted to him so well, and it made it almost physically uncomfortable to pull his hand away from yours.
You blinked rapidly, shaking yourself out of your trance and took a long sip from your beer— sure, it was a distraction but at this point, it was going to be the only thing that was going to get you through this night.
It was around four when Nancy pulled a sleeping Jonathan to his room, shutting the door and turning the lights off as they went. Steve had already driven home for midnight— he had a shift at six the following morning and would rather leave the fun if it meant avoiding Hopper’s wrath. It was only about ten minutes after you were left alone with a lightly drunk Billy Hargrove when you began to get ready. He followed suit, and when you left the house with him in tow he offered to walk you home with a smile.
“But that’s on the other side of town, Hargrove.” You said, vision blurred from both exhaustion and alcohol. His warm laugh filled our ears and sent a punch to your stomach.
“Yes, well. I’d rather you get home safe. We cant have a pretty lady walking home alone with no means of protection, right?” He said, throwing a heavy arm over your shoulder and pulling you down the long drive. The noises of the night pressed in around you, and while you just wanted to get over it and enjoy the moment you were in, it was so hard when you half expected a demon to launch itself from the bushes.
When you made it halfway home, there was a loud crash from an alley and howling sound echoed through the empty streets. Your blood immediately ran cold, and you gripped Billy’s arm so tightly you were sure you would leave bruises. When an orange cat tore across the street in front of you, an embarrassed flush crept up your chest. You pulled yourself away from the man next to you and picked up your pace, hoping that you would somehow be able to ignore what just happened.
“Hey, Harrington!” He shouted after you, jogging just a few steps to catch up to you. He rounded in front of you and you were stopped by him blocking your way. “Princess, what’s wrong?” He asked. When you finally looked up at him, your eyes were wetter than normal and your breathing was shallow.
“Um, nothing. Just irrational fears, I guess.”
“That wasn’t nothing, Harrington.” He said, matching your sideways step to stop you from walking further down the street. You could see your home just a few meters away and if you could just—
“Y/N.” He said, gripping your chin in his hand and forcing you to look up at him. The lights cast shadows on his face which made him look mysterious, and the serious expression on his face was only made more prominent by the harsh angles of the streetlight.
“I got that anxiety shit.” You grumbled, toeing the dirt and looking down when he let your chin go. “It’s stupid, I know. I don’t really like talking about it.”
“You’re always on edge, right?” He began. You looked up at him, and he swore that the pale yellow light of the streetlamp beside you made your eyes glow, and whenever you looked at him, he felt his chest tighten. “Like you always have to be ready for anything?” He intertwined his fingers with yours and pulled you down to your house
“Yeah, almost exactly. I feel like there’s always something hunting me.” You whispered, letting your hands swing between you two. The walk was slow and you thanked whatever God was out there that you’d be able to spend a few more minutes with him.
“I get the feeling too.” He whispered. When he had reached the foot of your walkway he came to a stop and looked down at you.
“Thank you for walking me home, Billy. You’re really different than what you were like in high school. It’s nice.” He smiled at your words and looked down at your hand in his own.
“Yeah. I got arrested the night we graduated and it really was a blow to the face that I needed to get my shit together.”
“I’m proud of you.” You whispered, smiling up at him. The air between the two you had suddenly become thick, and he took a step closer to you— not enough to make you uncomfortable, but enough so your heart beat just a little quicker.
His eyes, now a few shades darker flitted between looking into your own and looking at your lips. Almost as if it was demanded, your tongue shot out and wet your bottom lip, making it glisten and almost seem plumper and softer. He let a long beach out of his nose and his hand came to cradle your jaw, rubbing circles on the softness of your cheek with his rough thumb. You leaned into his touch and closed your eyes and let your shoulders drop. It seemed that just under his one touch, the muscles in your body relaxed and your breathing became slower than it had been in years.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked, ignoring the break in his voice. You weren’t sure it was from nerves or if it was because of the thickness in the air between you, but you smiled softly at the noise. You nodded, finally looking up at him through your lashes and tilting your chin up in expectancy. His own head ducked down towards your own, and when his lips met your own, a warmth spread from your chest and spread to all of your limbs.
The kiss was gentle, and it was soft, and Billy tasted like beer and chips and cigarettes. You stepped closer to him, and your hands came to rest on his chest. You swore you could feel his beating heart under your fingertips and when his free hand came to rest at your hip to pull you almost impossibly closer to him, you were sure that he could feel yours as well. His tongue darted out, and without even thinking about it, you let your lips part. His tongue traced the tops of your teeth first, and the tip of his nudged your own in some sort of invitation to dance.
The kiss turned heated then, and you both tried to pull each other closer. The soft breaths and moans exchanged between you were music to your ears, and you hooked your fingers through his belt loops to pull his hips roughly towards your own. He let out a low growl and nipped your bottom lip sharply before pressing opened mouth kisses to your jaw. His hand that had been resting on your jaw now squeezed your throat in the best way and you let out a strangled moan.
“You sure you wanna do that, Princess?” He growled into your neck after he left a particularly dark bruise. He kitten licked the spot and you pulled his hips almost closer, gasping at the hardness that pressed against your core.
“What’re ya gonna do about it, Pretty Boy?” You gasped as his hands circled around your hips to grab handfuls of your ass.
“Invite me in and I’ll show you.”
The walk to your room had been clumsy. It was of hushed laughs in the dark, and of petting and soft kisses against doors and on stairs. You opened your bedroom door, and he flipped you around to press you hard against the back of your door. He bent down and after commanding for you to jump, your legs wrapped around his waist— the only anchoring point to any form of stability was his pelvis against your own. You felt him rock his hips against your own and you threw your head back against the door while arching your back deliciously into him.
“Too many clothes.” He whispered against your hot skin. He dropped you and ripped the sweater off of your torso, quickly capturing your lips with his once more. Your fingers touched his skin as you unbuttoned his shirt and pushed it off his shoulders. You traced the contours of his muscles and watched as goosebumps erupted under your touch. He kissed you softly and pulled you towards the bed while undoing your bra, throwing it somewhere across the room and groaning when you pressed yourself against him.
You made quick work of each other's pants and soon you were straddling him over your covers, grinding yourself onto his thigh as he tweaked and sucked your tits, leaving dark marks littered over you.
The hard muscle of his thigh ground against your clit, and after one broken moan tore from your throat, he flipped you over and aligned himself with you. The head of his cock teased your hole, and when it brushed softly over your clit, your hips thrust up— you were desperate for attention at this point, and the chuckle that rumbled in his throat told you that he knew exactly how you felt.
“So wet for me, baby girl.” He mumbled, grinding the flat of his dick parallel to your soaked pussy. “I’ve waited to get a taste of your for so long.” You groaned as the tip of his dick stretched you, and when he pulled out you were left breathless.
“Then stop waiting and fuck me already.” You growled. He laughed at your impatience but followed your commands and slowly fit himself within you. When he finally managed to bottom out you both let shuddering breaths into each other's mouths. You felt the soft skin of his balls pressed against your ass, and his relic bone pressed against your clit in a way that made your nails dig into his shoulders.
“Fuck, babe. You’re so fucking tight and wet.” He moaned as he pulled out slowly and thrust back in at an almost teasing pace. “Who made you this way, baby?” When you didn’t answer right away, he thrust back into you hard, and you gasped at the sound of his thighs hitting your own.
“You did. Fuck, Billy.” You began meeting his thrusts with your own, and soon you had both found a pace that was good for both of you. The sounds of your thighs hitting each other and the squelching you his dick fucking you filled the room, and when he pulled away to place a pillow under your hips for a new angle, the noises were almost completely drowned out by your moans.
He thrust harder against you, and wrapped his arms around our torso, pulling you so close to him that it was almost hard to breathe.
“Who does your pussy belong to, huh?” He grunted against your neck as his smooth thrusts slowly morphed to animalistic rutting.
You let out a loud squeal when his hand slapped your thigh hard. “My pussy is yours, Billy. It’s all yours baby.” He lifted your leg and placed it on his hips and his eyes rolled into the back of his head when he felt the tip of his cock brush against the ridges of your core. The wet sounds were growing louder and faster, and he knew you were about to become undone by the way your legs trembled around him and but the way the veins in your neck strained against your skin. He bit the meat of your neck hard, and you let out a pornographic moan when his hand drifted between you and began roughly rubbing your clit.
“Cum for me, Princess. Cum on my cock, and let the whole neighborhood who owns your delicious cunt.” You came almost immediately at his words, and you let out a howl of pleasure against the skin of his neck. Your walls fluttered deliciously around his cock, and the tightness he felt in his tummy was about to explode in response. Just as he was about to cum, he stopped his rough thrusts and pulled out, jacking himself off and moaning loudly when he came across your chest and abdomen. The glistening of his cum on your heaving chest was by far, one of the prettiest things he had ever seen.
His finger traced over the goo, and once he felt he had collected enough on it, he edged your lips open. You immediately opened your mouth and sucked his wet fingers is, sucking them clean and moaning at the musky taste that he provided. Once you were sure you got it all, you let his fingers go with a pop, and the place where his fingers had been was soon replaced but the softness of his lips.
“You did so well for me, Princess. So good.” He said as he came back to you with a towel in his hand. He cleaned you up and pressed his fingers fondly into your flesh when you twitched against his touch.
He climbed into bed then, still half hard, and pulled him close to you so that your back was flush against his chest.
“So good for me, Baby.”

The Spider-Man Game That Made Spider-Man 3: No Way Home Possible
https://ift.tt/3uA4Oj9
After a night of trolling by actors Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, Sony and Marvel Studios finally revealed the title of their third Spidey movie: Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s an apt title for a film that will reportedly see heroes and villains from across the Spider-Verse collide once again, but this time, it’ll happen in live-action, which likely means the return of a few big-screen favorites.
It’s been reported that the movie will not only include Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, taking over from the late Tony Stark as Peter’s mentor, but also Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina, reprising their roles as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Dr. Octopus from the original Spider-Man 2 respectively. It’s also long been rumored that these villains will be bringing along their own Spider-Men, played once again by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. That last bit is still worth taking with a grain of salt, but there’s bound to be at least some multiversal shenanigans when Strange and two villains from other Spidey movie universes are involved.
And it’s not like the Spider-Man franchise is a stranger to big, epic storytelling involving multiple timelines and Earths. Just look at 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is arguably the best movie starring the character ever made. In the animated film, young Miles Morales gains the powers of Spider-Man and is immediately thrust into an adventure full of Spider-Men, including a deadbeat Peter Parker from another Earth who is down on his luck. There’s also Spider-Woman, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099, the mechanical SP//dr, and even Spider-Ham. Together, they team up to take down Kingpin and Doc Ock before they can shatter reality.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
It was the Spider-extravaganza of the decade, one that performed well at the box office and received rave reviews, so it’s no surprise that Sony and Marvel want to push the Spider-Verse concept even further with an animated sequel as well as No Way Home. But as we prepare to watch three big-screen Spider-Men team up to fight crime in the MCU (again, a rumor!), we should also take a moment to celebrate the video game that made this all possible: Beenox and Activision’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, the game from 2010 that first introduced the “Spider-Verse” as we know it today.
Developed as a single-player title that allowed fans to take on a whole list of baddies while switching between four Spider-Men — Amazing, 2099, Noir, and Ultimate — Shattered Dimensions was a unique video game treat for its time, sending gamers on adventures that spanned four different and distinct versions of Spider-Man’s world. One level you could be swinging through Marvel’s classic vision of New York City, while the next could send you to the black-and-white, 1930s-inspired Noir universe or the futuristic cityscape of 2099. Each Spider-Man had unique abilities too, and their levels usually required specific playstyles — Noir missions, for example, involved more stealth while 2099 could slow down time, and even featured boss battles with universe-specific baddies like The Goblin (a 1930s version of the villain) and Doc Ock 2099.
The story that ties all of these universes and Spider-Men together is pretty good, too: Spidey accidentally shatters a mystical artifact known as the Tablet of Order and Chaos while fighting Electro, breaking it into 17 fragments that end up scattered across the four universes. So Madame Web recruits the four aforementioned webslingers to recover the fragments and bring order back to the multiverse.
This is the kind of setup fans of comic book crossover events would undoubtedly love, and each level in the game does really feel like another chapter (or issue) of the story. It makes perfect sense, then, that the game’s story was written by Dan Slott, who was just at the start of his decade-long Spider-Man run (2008-2018), the longest in Marvel history, when Beenox began work on the game.
Inspired by other Spider-Men stories from the ’90s like the controversial “Clone Saga” and the “Spider Wars” arc in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, which also opens with Madame Web recruiting and training a group of Spider-Men to save the multiverse, Slott’s work on Shattered Dimensions was a precursor for what would come next at Marvel Comics: several multiversal clashes that seriously expanded the scope of what Spidey stories could be.

In 2012, Brian Michael Bendis finally introduced Peter Parker to his Ultimate Marvel counterpart Miles Morales in the 5-issue miniseries Spider-Men, which partly inspired Into the Spider-Verse. While an extremely popular addition to the Spidey mythos, Miles had existed solely in his own universe and timeline in the comics up until this point. It’d taken 12 years for Ultimate Marvel characters to cross over with the main Marvel universe, but even this meeting of Spider-Men was small-scale when compared to what Slott brought to the table next: 2014’s “Spider-Verse” storyline that brought together all of the versions of the hero he had used in Shattered Dimensions plus quite a few others.
“Spider-Verse” was a game-changing, status quo-shattering story that introduced infinite possibilities for who Spider-Man could be and how all of these different versions of the webslinger could come together to fight a common enemy. Even if you’ve never read these comics, you’ll likely feel their influence in what’s to come for Tom Holland (and maybe Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, too).
Slott’s massive event has received several follow-ups since 2014, including tie-ins to Jonathan Hickman’s seminal Secret Wars and a direct sequel called Spider-Geddon. And Shattered Dimensions got a sequel, too.
Written by another Marvel legend, Peter David, Spider-Man: Edge of Time cut back on the cast, this time bringing back only the original Spidey and his 2099 counterpart for a romp through time and space. But Beenox sophomore Marvel effort didn’t quite capture the same magic, delivering a much rougher gameplay experience this time around, even if the story of Miguel O’Hara trying to save Peter Parker’s life int he past was a generally captivating one. This would be the end of this particular corner of the Spider-Verse.
Whether No Way Home truly picks up the multiple Spider-Men torch, or we’re simply treated to Peter, MJ, and Ned dealing with a few villainous blasts from past, it’s worth remembering Shattered Dimensions place in Spidey history and how it helped get us to a point where we can speculate about this stuff in the first place.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is out on Dec. 17.

Carl Lawson had a monster day for the Bengals and more!!
3 weeks have come and gone in the NFL. As we do on Tuesdays, it’s time take a look and see how our former Auburn Tigers did this week in the NFL.
Let’s get started!
Dolphins 31 Jaguars 13
Dolphins
Noah Igbinoghene: 3 tackles, Pass Deflection
Chandler Cox
We’re still waiting on the Dolphins to line him up at QB in the CoxCat formation but until then, here’s Chandler lead blocking for his Running Backs getting into the endzone.

Missed Sunday’s game due to injury
Jack Driscoll
Sounds like more playing time on the horizon as the Eagles continue to look for answers on the OL.
Patriots 36 Raiders 20
Raiders
Daniel Carlson - 2/3 FG, 2-2 XP
He’s human folks. Carlson connected from 29 and 25 yards but missed a 41 yarder in the 3rd Quarter that would have tied the game.
Patriots
Cam Newton - 17-28, 162 yards, TD, INT, 9 carries, 27 yards
SuperCam came back to earth a little bit after his unreal game in Seattle but he got some help in the running game in a Patriots win. The biggest takeaway from this one was a new meme featuring Cam that we’ll be tweeting in replies to bad takes for days, weeks, months and years to come.

Marlon Davidson - 4 Tackles
Marlon made his NFL debut after missing his first 2 games due to a knee injury and looked good doing it giving the Falcons some much needed help on the Defensive Line. Unfortunately, this is the Falcons we are talking about and they’re prone to blowing big 4th Quarter leads.
Panthers 21 Chargers 16
Panthers
Derrick Brown - 5 tackles, 3 tackles for loss

Fox news Roughnecks QB Walker tosses 4 TDs in win - NFL.com
Tumblr media
Fox news
After going undrafted out of Temple in 2017, Phillip "P.J." Walker frolicked on and off the Indianapolis Colts' be aware squad and signed two reserve/future contracts sooner than within the discontinuance being waived by the group for the third and closing time in August 2019.
Walker's spectacular XFL debut on Saturday night made that call seek love it goes to also have been of the "mercurial" variety.
The Houston Roughnecks' 24-one year-historical signal-caller build on an absolute level to in front of the dwelling crowd at TDECU Stadium, amassing 272 passing yards (23/39) and four touchdowns within the group's 37-17 have interaction over the L.A. Wildcats.
Walker dodged, ducked and dipped his formulation to a series of spectacular performs that have already established him as a skill to see within the burgeoning league. The finest valid blemishes on his in another case excellent night used to be a sack for an absence of seven and a have interaction within the closing minutes when Houston used to be up by what ended up being a game-deciding 20-level margin.
On simply his 2d pass strive of the night, he carried out a 50-yard bomb to receiver Cam Phillips (4/67/1). His. 2nd. Strive. Of the night. That's simply ridiculous, girls folk and gents.
Tumblr media
With 1: 10 to transfer within the most essential half, Walker took the snap, regarded downfield, sensed the stress coming, evaded two defenders, rolled to his left and slung a 39-yard pass at some level of his body into the waiting arms of wideout Sam Mobley within the left nook of the endzone. it used to be Mobley's finest have interaction of the night. Wow.
One other highlight came early within the third. Walker stood within the pocket and fired a 29-yard bullet down the center of the area to receiver Reduce Holley (4/50) that went simply over the center linebacker and easily in between the safeties. A mountainous throw by his QB but an even more spectacular feat by Holley, whose high-tail to the XFL featured three torn ACLs and a broken serve over the route of his life within the sport.
Performing how Walker did and being within the identical metropolis as Texans star Deshaun Watson will with out a doubt evoke severely understandable albeit untimely comparisons but he gentle has a protracted formulation to transfer sooner than entering that form of debate. Walker used to be with out a doubt in a league of his possess on Saturday, although.
In actual fact, most of this contest used to be a one-sided affair. The Roughnecks' D-line positively earned the "tough" piece of their moniker with their effort, manhandling the Wildcats' O-line from commence to quit.
Linebacker LeTroy Lewis and 2014 2d-round draft have interaction defensive discontinuance Kony Ealy feasted against L.A.'s O-line. Lewis nabbed two tackles, two sacks, three QB hits, a pass defensed and one compelled fumble; Ealy earned three tackles, five QB hits and 0.5 sacks.
Security Deatrick Nichols led the formulation for the secondary with five tackles, a sack, an INT and two passes defensed. Houston totaled 11 PDs, two INTs, 16 QB hits and five sacks.
It wasn't all inappropriate for the Wildcats, although, as WR Nelson Clear was the XFL's first 100-yard receiver with 11 receptions for 103 yards. Clear managed to set himself as a stride-to are trying despite QB Charles Kanoff (21/40, 214 yards, TD, INT) having a unlucky night. Kanoff, who obtained the starting up with NFL journeyman Josh Johnson out with a thigh wreck, used to be moreover sacked three occasions.
After playing within the preseason for the Jaguars in 2019, working serve Elijah Hood took the area for the most essential time since ideal August, and contributed 12 carries, 43 yards and one insane hurdle on a fast flee within the 2d quarter. Hood performed four preseason video games for the Panthers in 2018 and frolicked with the Raiders the one year prior; he's been hampered by injuries for many of his pro profession.
Extraordinary for one more stress-free tidbit from this game? Both groups efficiently carried out the most essential two-level put up-TD conversions in XFL historical previous; the Defenders did so twice (flee, rec.) whereas the Wildcats (rec.) did it once.
D.C. Defenders 31, Seattle Dragons 19
Effectively, that used to be assorted.
The inaugural game of the XFL kicked off Saturday in front of 17,000-plus fans internal of Audi Stadium, and noticed the D.C. Defenders (1-0) pull out a actual 31-19 victory against the Seattle Dragons (0-1).
Led by outdated Ohio Assert star quarterback Cardale Jones, the Defenders came serve from a 13-12 halftime deficit to outscore the Dragons 19-6. Jones, a fourth-round have interaction within the 2016 NFL Draft, completed the day 16-of-26 for 291 yards and two touchdowns, both of which came within the third quarter.
Standout receiver Eli Rogers, whose three years with the Steelers used to be marred by injuries, caught all six of his targets for a bunch-high 73 yards, demonstrating simply how abominable he can also moreover be when healthy. Khari Lee, a outdated tight discontinuance of the Bears, Lions and Bills, secured a 39-yard pass for D.C.'s first TD.
The Defenders' defense moreover came to play, snagging two interceptions -- one a 69-yard time out to the dwelling from cornerback Bradley Sylve within the fourth -- apart from four tackles for a loss and 9 passes defensed. The defensive line equipped a ton of stress all afternoon, most noticeably linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi, who had three tackles and recorded the group's lone sack.
Defenders nose address Elijah Qualls came away with a fumble recovery on a botched handoff by Dragons QB Brandon Silvers with five and a few change to transfer that zapped the little momentum Seattle, down by 14, had been making an strive to attain in direction of a comeback of their very possess.
Tumblr media
Silvers carried out 21 of his 40 pass makes an strive for 217 yards, three TDs and two INTs. Silvers' first TD toss -- a pin-level 14-yarder up the center to tight discontinuance Austin Proehl -- will stride down because the most essential TD within the brand new league's historical previous. As the pocket collapsed round him on his third TD, Silvers displayed ultimate consciousness by scrambling up the area and finding Proehl (5/88/2) for a 57-yard have interaction-and-flee accumulate. Both "Play of the Day materials" but for entirely assorted reasons.
Defenders kicker Tyler Rausa contributed the most essential choices (level to the excellence) of kickoff day on a 34-yarder. The outdated Boise Assert special teamer completed 2-of-3 on the day, including a profession-finest 54-yard FG to quit the most essential half.
It be worth noting both groups efficiently utilized the different PAT alternate choices, with the Dragons changing a one-level pass strive and the Defenders changing a one-level flee play. As a substitute of the essential rule differences, which you might possibly net yourself up to the tag with right here, one more engrossing a part of the game used to be the stay mic frail by both groups for the length.
Defenders coach Pep Hamilton, whose old skills comprises stops with the Jets, 49ers, Bears, Colts and Browns, apart from at the collegiate level with Stanford, Michigan and Howard, will seemingly be heard delivering performs to his starting QB. Jones, in flip, might possibly possibly moreover be heard going by his cadence sooner than the snap.
Dragons coach Jim Zorn, who is terribly conversant in the DC dwelling because the Redskins' head coach from 2008-09, will seemingly be heard doing the identical. He seemingly wants his "revenge game" would've ended a little bit in a single more draw. Zorn's assorted stops consist of stints with the Seahawks, Lions, Ravens, and Chiefs, apart from within the NCAA with Boise Assert, Utah Assert and Minnesota.
The new mic used to be moreover featured moderately interestingly in sideline interviews with gamers as they came off the area; topics ranged from celebratory chatter about the play they had been beforehand excited about to irritated breakdowns of what went execrable and so forth and heaps others.
All in all, it used to be an bright origin to what ought to be an bright new skills for the XFL.
