Might I HUMBLY request Xavier x reader where heâs all pouty because youâve been busy with work and ignoring him and you accidentally raise your voice at him because he keeps trying to speak to you but ur busy and he starts crying. Yup. Iâd like to order that meal please I live for crybaby Xavier đđ˝ââď¸đ¨
Hi! I love this I put my spin on crying Xavier because he is my no.1 pookie and he seems to me like the type that cries whe he annoyed or feels wronged (because I do)
Xavier sat on the couch, arms crossed over his chest, glaring at the back of your head as if he could will you to turn around and finally look at him. He had been patientâremarkably patient, in his opinionâbut after hours of watching you hunched over your computer, completely ignoring his presence, his patience was wearing dangerously thin.
He had tried everything to get your attention. At first, heâd settled for subtle tactics: stretching exaggeratedly, sighing loudly, shifting on the couch in a way that made the leather creak just enough to be noticeable. When that failed, he moved on to more obvious methods, like standing behind you, resting his chin on your head, and wrapping his arms around your shoulders in what should have been a distraction too sweet to ignore.
But you hadnât even flinched.
So now, he was pouting.
Xavier would never admit to pouting, of course, but that was exactly what he was doing. His lower lip was slightly pushed out, his silver brows were drawn together in a frown, and he was sinking lower and lower into the couch, his entire body exuding sulky displeasure.
How long had it been now? Two hours? Three? He was certain it had been at least half the day.
His fingers drummed against his knee. Maybe he should just grab your laptop and toss it across the room. That would get your attention. Or maybe he should act like he was in grave distressâclutch his chest, groan dramatically, collapse onto the floor. Surely that would get you to look at him.
Instead, he settled for the next best thing.
With all the grace and stealth he possessed, Xavier slid off the couch, crawling onto the floor until he was sitting directly beside your chair. His head tilted up as he stared at you, waiting for even the smallest reaction.
Nothing.
He scowled. "Are you planning to stare at that screen all night?"
"Mmhm," you hummed, not even sparing him a glance.
His frown deepened. "You do realize Iâm here, right?"
Another vague noise of acknowledgment.
Xavier narrowed his eyes. He had been ignored before, sure, but this was just unfair.
And now, he had made it his mission to break your focus.
Xavier, determined as ever, let out a small sigh before lifting his hand. His Evol hummed to life, and the glow of your laptop screen flickered, dimming until it was barely visible. Then, with a subtle flick of his fingers, the display distorted, the text shifting and swirling like ink in water.
You let out a frustrated groan. "Xavier!"
He blinked up at you innocently. "Yes?"
"Please! I need to get this report done. I'm not getting behind on work because you want attention!"
In your frustration, you snapped the laptop shut with more force than intended before throwing it open again, fingers immediately resuming their frantic typing. Your words were sharp, harsher than you meant, but at that moment, all you could focus on was meeting your deadline.
You didnât notice the way Xavier's eyes widened slightly, the way his usual playful demeanor stiffened ever so slightly. You didnât notice how he stared at you, as if seeing something he hadnât expected.
What you did notice was the quiet click of the door.
Not a slam, not an angry exitâjust a calm, deliberate departure. The sound, barely loud enough to be distracting under normal circumstances, echoed in your mind like a deafening crack.
Your fingers froze on the keyboard.
Oh.
You exhaled, a sharp pang of guilt settling in your chest as the weight of your own words replayed in your mind. You hadnât meant to snap. You hadnât meant to push him away.
But you had.
Xavier was never demanding. He was persistent, sure, but never unreasonable. And now, instead of arguing or pouting, he had simply⌠left.
You swallowed, glancing toward the door.
Would he come back if you waited? Maybe he just needed air. Maybe you were overreacting.
But then you thought of his expression before he leftthe quiet hurt hidden beneath the usual calm.
With a sigh, you pushed your chair back, standing up. Work could wait. Xavier, however, shouldnât have to.
You hesitated outside Xavierâs apartment, the weight of the cookie container in your hands suddenly feeling heavier than it should. The trip up here had felt longer than usual, your own guilt dragging your steps.
You took a breath. Just apologise.
Slipping inside, you expected to see him sprawled out dramatically on the couch, maybe with a pillow over his face, sulking like a cat deprived of attention. Instead, what you found made your stomach twist.
Xavier was sitting on the couch, his body angled toward the window, bathed in the cold glow of the city lights. The usual warmth he carried was nowhere to be found. He was still, too still.
You stepped closer, keeping your voice light despite the nervous flutter in your chest. "Okay, okay, I get it. I was a little harsh, but you were being insufferableâ"
You stopped.
Even in the dim lighting, you could see the quiet tears slipping down his cheeks. He wasnât sobbing, wasnât making a sound, but the sight was somehow worse. He looked like he wasnât even aware he was crying, like his emotions had bled through before he could stop them.
Your breath caught in your throat. "XavierâŚ"
You surged forward instinctively, placing the cookies on the table with a soft clatter before cupping his cheeks in your hands. His skin was warm beneath your fingertips, but he didnât lean into the touch like he usually would.
Instead, he turned his face slightly, firmly ignoring you.
The rejection, soft as it was, stung.
"Xavier," you tried again, thumbs brushing over the damp trails left by his tears. "Talk to me."
Nothing.
His jaw tensed under your touch, and his hands, usually so quick to grab onto you, remained clenched in his lap. The Xavier you knew, the one who teased and pouted and wormed his way into every aspect of your life, felt so distant now.
You swallowed. "I didnât mean to snap at you," you whispered, your voice softer now, less desperate, more honest. "I was frustrated, not with youâwell, okay, maybe a little with youâbut mostly with myself."
His shoulders twitched, barely a reaction, but enough for you to see you were getting through.
You took a breath, shifting so you were kneeling between his legs, forcing him to either look at you or go on stubbornly ignoring your presence.
"You can be a pain, you know?" You smiled a little, trying to coax something, anything, out of him. "But youâre my pain, and I was an idiot for pushing you away like that."
Still, silence.
Then, finally, a breath.
"You always do that." His voice was quiet, rough in a way you werenât used to. "Always throw yourself into things and forget that someoneâs waiting for you to look up."
You blinked.
Xavier exhaled sharply, shaking his head as if he was annoyed with himself. "I donât even know why IâŚ" He trailed off, hands finally movingâbut not to hold you. Instead, he wiped at his own face as if frustrated that he had let himself cry in front of you at all.
You felt your chest ache.
There was something heavier in his words, something unspoken. A kind of familiar grief that didnât make sense in the context of one small fight.
But that was a question for another time.
Right now, you just wanted him to know he mattered.
So you leaned in, pressing your forehead gently against his. "Iâll look up more," you promised, closing your eyes. "Iâll pay attention. I swear, Xavier."
For a moment, neither of you moved.
Then, after what felt like an eternity, his hands finally reached for you.
Not playful, not teasingâjust holding on.
Like he was afraid of something.
Like he was afraid of losing you.
Xavier didnât speak right away. He just held onto you, his hands gripping your arms, thumbs brushing over your skin as if reassuring himself that you were really there. His forehead was still pressed against yours, warm and steady, but there was a hesitance in the way he held youâlike he wasnât sure if youâd pull away again.
You werenât going to.
Slowly, he exhaled, finally shifting back just enough to look at you properly. His blue eyes were still damp, still heavy with something unsaid, but there was a quiet resolution there now. He lifted your hands from where they rested against his chest, cradling them carefully between his own.
Then, with a gentleness that made your breath catch, he brought them to his lips.
His lips brushed over your knuckles, lingering in a way that made your heart ache. "I need you to be serious about this," he murmured, voice low, but firm. "Not just saying it to make me feel better."
You swallowed, guilt tightening in your throat.
"I mean it," he continued, pressing another soft kiss to your fingers. "I want to spend time with you, and if youâre too busy, then fineâjust let me help. If itâs your report, Iâll help you with it. If youâre stuck, Iâll be there." He squeezed your hands gently, his expression open, unguarded in a way you werenât used to. "I just want to be with you. However I can."
Your heart clenched.
Youâd been so focused on your work, so lost in the constant cycle of getting things done, that you hadnât even considered how Xavier might feel about it. He didnât just want attentionâhe wanted to be with you. He wanted to be a part of your world, not just something on the outside waiting for a moment of your time.
You lifted your hands, cupping his face once more, smoothing your thumbs over his cheekbones. This time, when he leaned into your touch, there was no resistance.
"I promise," you whispered.
Then, before he could say anything else, you leaned in and kissed him.
It was sweet, slowânot rushed or desperate, but full of warmth. A promise sealed with something softer than words. Xavier made a quiet sound against your lips, his hands sliding around your waist, pulling you closer.
When you finally pulled back, he exhaled, his usual smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "You sure you wonât need me to break your screen again?"
You laughed, pressing your forehead to his. "No breaking my laptop. ButâŚ" You smiled. "I wouldnât mind your help next time."
His smirk softened into something fonder, something real.
"Good," he murmured, pulling you in again. "Because Iâm not going anywhere."
And this time, you believed him.

Seven chances
Min ho Moon x ex!reader
Summary: Min Ho plans seven dates to win back his exâand it just might work.
~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~
I never thought Iâd see Min Ho Moon again. Not after the way things ended between us.
The moment I spot him across the cafĂŠ, I freeze. He looks exactly the sameâmaybe even better. Same tousled hair, same confident smirk, same annoyingly perfect skin. But something in his eyes is different. I quickly turn my attention back to my laptop, pretending I didnât see him.
I shouldâve known that wouldnât stop him.
âHey,â his voice is smooth, casual, but I can hear the nerves underneath. âDidnât expect to see you here.â
I exhale slowly before looking up. âMin Ho.â I keep my tone neutral.
He doesnât take the hint. Instead, he slides into the chair across from me without asking. Typical.
âHow have you been?â he asks, as if weâre old friends catching up.
âFine,â I say. âBusy.â
Min Ho leans back, studying me. I hate how easy it is for him to make eye contact, like we didnât go months without speaking. Like he didnât break my heart.
âI miss you,â he says. Just like that. No preamble, no hesitation.
I let out a short laugh. âThatâs not how this works, Min Ho.â
He frowns. âHow what works?â
âYou donât just walk back into my life and say you miss me,â I say, folding my arms. âYou donât get to act like nothing happened.â
His jaw tightens. âI know. Thatâs why Iâm here.â
I glance away, out the cafĂŠ window, watching people walk by. Itâs a crisp afternoon in Seoul, and the city feels like itâs moving faster than I am.
Min Ho sighs, rubbing his hands together like heâs bracing himself. âI messed up.â
âNo kidding.â
He nods. âI hurt you. And I hate myself for it.â
I close my laptop, giving him my full attention. âThen why did you do it?â
Min Ho hesitates. âBecause I was scared.â
âScared?â I repeat, incredulous. âThatâs your excuse?â
âI didnât think I was good enough for you,â he says, voice quiet. âI thought if I let myself get too close, Iâd end up ruining everything. So instead of losing you later, I pushed you away first.â
I stare at him. âThatâs the dumbest thing Iâve ever heard.â
âI know,â he says, a ghost of a smile on his lips. âIâm an idiot.â
I shake my head. âYou really are.â
Thereâs a beat of silence between us. I should get up and leave. I should tell him itâs too late, that I donât care anymore.
But I do care.
And Min Ho, for all his flaws, is sitting here, admitting he was wrong. Thatâs not something he does often.
âI donât expect you to forgive me,â he says, his voice softer now. âBut I want to try again. I want to prove to you that Iâve changed.â
I look at him carefully. âAnd how exactly do you plan to do that?â
Min Ho smirks, the familiar confidence creeping back into his expression. âGive me a week. Let me take you on seven dates. No expectations, no pressure. Just⌠let me show you why we were good together.â
I raise an eyebrow. âSeven?â
He nods. âSeven.â
I should say no. I should walk away and never look back.
But instead, I sigh. âFine. One week.â
The grin that spreads across his face is enough to make my heart ache. Because deep down, I know the truth.
I never really stopped loving him.
Day One: The Ice Rink
Min Ho picks me up right on time, a smug look on his face. âYouâre going to love this,â he says, leading me inside the rink.
I narrow my eyes. âYou remember that I canât skate, right?â
âThatâs the best part,â he teases. âYouâll have to hold onto me the whole time.â
I glare at him, but when we step onto the ice and I immediately slip, I have no choice but to grab his arm. He chuckles. âTold you.â
Despite my frustration, I canât help but smile. Maybe this isnât the worst idea after all.
Day Two: The Bookstore
âI remember you used to spend hours in here,â Min Ho says as we step inside my favorite bookstore.
I give him a suspicious look. âYou hate bookstores.â
âI hate reading,â he corrects. âNot bookstores.â He picks up a random book and flips through it, pretending to look interested.
I smirk. âYouâre just trying to impress me.â
âIs it working?â he asks, grinning.
I roll my eyes, but I donât miss the warmth creeping into my chest.
Day Three: The Street Market
Min Ho buys me tteokbokki from my favorite vendor, and we wander through the market, the scent of food filling the air. He tries to feed me a piece, but I swat his hand away.
âYouâre so difficult,â he groans.
âYou love it,â I tease before I can stop myself.
He grins. âI do.â
Day Four: The Beach
We sit on the sand, watching the waves roll in. Min Ho looks at me, his expression unreadable. âI donât deserve you,â he says suddenly.
I sigh. âMin Hoââ
âI just need you to know that,â he interrupts. âEven if this doesnât work out, I need you to know how much I regret losing you.â
I swallow hard. âYouâre trying, Min Ho. Thatâs what matters.â
He nods, but I can tell heâs still scared.
So am I.
Day Five: The Arcade
Min Ho drags me to the arcade, his eyes full of mischief.
âWinner picks the next date,â he challenges.
We go head-to-head in basketball, air hockey, and racing games. He wins some, I win more (at least, thatâs my version).
At the claw machine, he spends way too many tries before finally winning a small stuffed dog. He hands it to me, a little sheepish.
âFor you.â
I hold it close, pretending it doesnât mean anything. But it does.
Day Six: Karaoke Night
Min Ho books a private karaoke room, and I immediately regret saying yes.
âYou just want to show off,â I accuse.
He winks. âObviously.â
He belts out Love Scenario like heâs on stage, dancing like an idiot. I laugh too hard to resist when he shoves the mic at me.
âOne song,â I warn.
By the end, weâre both breathless from laughing. He looks at me, eyes soft.
âI missed this,â he says.
I donât respond. But deep down, I did too.
Day Seven: The Rooftop
Our final date is on a rooftop, fairy lights strung around us. The city glows beneath us, and for a moment, it feels like weâre the only two people in the world.
Min Ho turns to me, looking nervous for the first time. âDid I do enough?â
I exhale. âMin HoâŚâ
He shakes his head. âWait. Before you say anythingâI just need you to know. I love you. I never stopped.â
My heart clenches. âI know.â
He steps closer. âDo you still love me?â
I hesitate. Not because I donât know the answer, but because I do.
âYes,â I whisper.
Min Ho lets out a shaky breath. âThen let me be better for you.â
I bite my lip. âYou already are.â
His lips crash into mine, and just like that, I knowâ
Weâre going to be okay.

bad ideas & good distractions - c. sturniolo
fic, part one of bed chem⌠next door neighbor!chris x beauty influencer!reader
the first time you notice the moving boxes in the hallway, you donât think much of it.
itâs a nice apartment building, and people come and go all the time. besides, youâre too busy editing a new video to care about whoeverâs moving in.
then, later that night, it starts.
the music.
so loud it rattles your walls, pulsing through your head as you stare at your laptop screen. you try to ignore it, try to focus, but the bass is relentless.
eventually, you sigh, shut your laptop, and crawl into bed, hoping it stops soon.
it doesnât.
this continues for the next few nightsâloud ass music, doors slamming, voices in the hallway. annoying as hell, but not enough to make you confront your new neighbor.
until one night, around 1 a.m., when itâs actually a full-blown party.
laughter, shouting, people stumbling up and down the hall like they pay rent here.
you lay in bed, glaring at the ceiling, seething.
what the hell is his problem?
but instead of doing anything about it, you toss and turn, forcing yourself to sleep.
the next morning, youâre filming a get ready with me for an upcoming event, sitting at your vanity, blending concealer under your eyes.
âi did not sleep last night,â you say, âmy new neighborâwho, by the way, i have not met yetâthinks my apartment complex is a frat house, apparently.â
you shake your head, dabbing in more product. âanyway, iâm going to this event later, so letâs fix my face and act like iâm not sleep deprived as hell.â
you post the video and go about your day, shoving the whole situation to the back of your mind.
but that night, when the music starts up again, youâre done.
at first, you try to ignore it, sipping on a glass of white wine as you edit a brand deal video, but then thereâs moaning. loud, exaggerated, fake as hell.
you slam your laptop shut.
this motherfucker has lost his mind.
you storm into the hall, crossing your arms as you knock on his door, loud as hell.
the music doesnât stop, but the door swings open a moment later.
and thatâs the first time you see him.
low sweats. shirtless. hair slightly messy.
he leans against the doorframe, eyes dragging over youâyour heartless hair curlers. pink pajama set. silk robe. fluffy slippers. the sleep-deprived glare on your face.
you looked like you just woke up from a slumber on twenty mattresses and still felt the damn pea.
then he smirks. âcute pajamas.â
you shift your weight onto your hip, unamused. âmost people on this floor are in bed sleeping right now.â
his smirk deepens. âclearly, iâm not most.â
your eye twitches. âturn the music down. and the fake ass moaning, too.â
he chuckles.
you wait. âso?â
he shrugs, barely moving. âiâll think about it.â
oh, you hate him.
âwhatever.â you spin on your heel, stomping back to your apartment and slamming the door behind you.
the next morning, your head is pounding, but you push through and meet your girls for brunch.
âbabe,â one of them says, stirring her mimosa. âyou look rough.â
you sigh, stabbing your eggs. âmy new neighbor is a fucking menace.â
they lean in. âspill.â
so you do.
you tell them about the loud music, the party, the smug ass smirk.
they listen, nodding along, sharing their own bad neighbor horror stories.
but one of them grins. âheâs hot, though, right?â
you hesitate. âthatâs not the point.â
âbut he is, isnât he?â
you purse your lips, sipping your mimosa. âwhatever.â
they laugh. âoh, you so think heâs hot.â
you donât answer.
but you donât deny it, either.
a few days pass, and you avoid him.
not hard to do.
but the thought of him lingers, especially late at night, especially when youâre in bed, mind wandering.
heâs just a guy.
just your annoying ass neighbor.
but you canât stop thinking about his voice, his smirk, the way he leaned in the doorwayâ
get it together.
except you canât.
and eventually, you come to terms with it.
it could just be a singular fuck. nothing more.
just something to scratch the itch.
so, one night, against your better judgment, you grab your keys, take a breath, and step out into the hall.
heading straight for his door.

That was until you decided to request a certain private session.

What the hell am I doing?Â
I found myself asking that same question more than once ever since I signed up for only fans a few weeks ago. Not as a producer but as someone that watches and enjoys. At first I was extremely nervous, chasting myself for even thinking of subscribing to strange men who do sex work, virtually. But after being single for my entire life, Iâd become desperate. I craved some kind of attention whether it be sexual or just a simple conversation. Although, after being subscribed to a few different pages on Only Fans for a few weeks, I had yet to actually talk to anyone.Â
I mean, who the fuck subscribes to Only Fans to talk to people?
Again, asking myself what the hell am I doing?
Letting out a deep breath, I eased farther back into my bed with my laptop on my lap as I clicked through the different pages I subbed to, ready to unwind after a long day. I had a date earlier that ended in disaster, further proving that maybe a relationship was not meant for me. It was weird, me finding more comfort doing this rather than dating.Â
Even though there were a few accounts I liked, there was one that I had always found myself going back to when I thought I wanted something different.Â
Bill with the 70âs porn stache.Â
I watched nearly all of his videos with my rose vibrator pressed against my clit or using my dildo while Bill had his hand wrapped around his cock. He never had any special effects or wore masks like a lot of the other creators on here which is why I found myself drawn to him. He also had a tik tok page where he would post videos showing off his defined abs or trying whatever viral sound was trending. I liked every single new video he posted but never commented due to being shy. He had over a million followers, there was no way heâd ever pay attention to one of my comments.Â
Earlier today, he posted a Tik Tok saying heâs offering a new type of content on his OF page, one on one virtual meetings. For a certain amount of money, Bill would skype call someone for ten minutes and they could have virtual sex. Only one time. He made it clear that he would never have more than one virtual call with someone. Almost immediately I checked to see if my funds were available for this but then when I actually thought about it, it was weird, right? Having virtual sex with a stranger?Â
Then again, how would it be any different than me getting off to old videos he posted?Â
He would actually be talking to you. Which is what you want, no?Â
Gnawing on my bottom lip, I quickly signed up for this special one on one virtual meeting and after paying the amount that would put a small dent in my bank account, I waited. Bill mentioned earlier that due to how many people would most likely sign up, he would have to set times and dates for everyone. So instead of sitting for a reply, I opted on placing my laptop on the other end of my bed and dragged my feet to the bathroom across the hall in my apartment. When I first sat down with my laptop, my body had been vibrating with the need for a release but now as the nerves began to eat away at me for what Iâd just signed up for, I needed to think of something else.Â
By the time I returned into my room, towel wrapped around my soaked body, I saw a flashing notification on my laptop making my heart nearly burst out of my chest. I didnât bother to get dressed, simply sat on the edge of my bed still in my towel and brought my laptop to my lap.Â
New message from Porn Stache Bill.Â
While his username wasnât that great, he made up for it with the content he provided.Â
Letting out a deep breath, I clicked open the message and nearly choked on my saliva when I saw it was a video message from Bill.Â
âFuck, this is too real,â I muttered under my breath, finger hesitating over the play button before I hit it.
Bill appeared on the screen of my laptop, dressed in only a pair of grey sweats. The muscles of his abs seemed to rippled underneath the light of his bedroom as he leaned back against the dark sheets of his bed. His hair was messy, chest rising and falling with each deep breath he took which only made me wonder what heâd been doing before he recorded this video. My eyes, however, quickly honed in on the mustache. I was a sucker for it with every single one of his videos.
âHi, Y/N.â His face broke out in a smile followed by a wink and I nearly fell back onto my own bed when I heard my name fall from those full lips. âI wanted to say thank you for signing up for my private one on one video chats. Iâll be calling you tomorrow night at nine p.m. You have me for ten minutes for whatever you want. If there are any limits, please let me know beforehand. I look forward for our time together.â
When the video ended, I couldnât ignore the way my heart sank at how monotone Bill sounded. But then again, I wouldnât be surprised if he was recording the same video over and over again, only changing the names for everyone who signed up.Â
Closing my laptop, I set it on my desk before stepping into my closet to find something to wear tomorrow night on this video chat.Â
âWhat the actual fuck am I doing?â I yelled at myself while I paced my bedroom.Â
It was five minutes to nine and to say I was a nervous wreck was a fucking understatement. I could barely concentrate at work today and when I went out with some friends after work, all I could think about was this video chat that was about to happen. I didnât dare tell any of my coworkers I signed up to have a sexual video chat with a complete stranger because I knew they would try and talk me out of it. Sex aside, I was doing this for me as terrible as that sounded. Iâd been in my own shell for the last 28 years of my life, never branching out or trying anything hence why Iâd been single. No one wanted someone who was inexperienced.Â
How pathetic. You signed up on a sex website to help a stranger with sexual activities and for them to talk to you. No wonder why youâre single.Â
Once again ignoring the criticizing voice in my brain, I stopped pacing in front of the large mirror in my bedroom to give myself one final once over. My hair was pulled back in a tight french braid, I wore very minimal makeup, and the outfit I wore was anything but sexy mostly because I didnât own any lingerie. I chose to wear a loose white shirt that hung off one of my shoulders and a pair of olive green panties which you couldnât see due to the length of the shirt.Â
My bedroom wasnât anything fancy or special, and with the way I had my laptop set up, Bill would only be able to see me and the wall behind my bed which had those vine lights hanging against it.Â
Just as those thoughts began to creep in again, a noise from my laptop had me turning on my heels; the clock on my nightstand blinking 9:00 pm. Bill was calling me.Â
âNo turning back now,â I sighed, sitting on my bed.Â
I didnât bother trying to find a sexy position to sit in because I wasnât that; sexy. Iâd always been average and it took me awhile to accept it. With shaky fingers, I accepted the video chat and soon was graced with that mustache and smile.Â
âHi. Y/N, right?âÂ
I blinked, forcing myself not to gawk too long at his bare chest. Bill wore a pair of red boxers as he sat relaxed on his office chair. Unlike the video he sent me yesterday, his hair was neatly combed to the side.Â
âH-hi,â I said.Â
Bill smiled. âNervous, huh?âÂ
My cheeks burned and I ran my sweaty palms on the comforter of my bed. âA little. Iâve never actually done this before.âÂ
âIs there anything I could do to ease your nerves?â He asked while easing back into the chair.Â
âUh, maybe if you could take the lead.âÂ
The corner of Billâs mouth curved slightly. âI read over the list you sent over. Seems like you donât really know what youâre into.â
I cast my face down, not wanting him to see the embarrassment that covered me. This was a very bad idea. I shouldnât have signed up for this.Â
âHey,â Billâs soft voice from my laptop made me lift my gaze slightly. âItâs alright. Thereâs no need to be embarrassed. We all have to start somewhere when it comes to sex.â
I bit my bottom lip. âIf Iâm being honest, Iâm not sure why I even signed up for this. I thought maybe it could help break me out of this shell. But now I think maybe itâs only making things worse. Which I know sucks because I already paid for this and thereâs no refund so I guess Iâll eat the money. Iâm sorry that I wasted your time. I donât know why I did this.âÂ
âSeems like you ramble when youâre nervous,â Bill chuckled.Â
I cringed at myself. This was something I already knew and the fact this attractive man, who I spent hours watching his tik toks and O.F content, immediately called me out on it made me shrink farther into my bed. The hem of my shirt rode up my thighs when I did, showcasing my panties. Billâs eyes darkened as he sat straight up in his computer chair to get a closer look at the camera.Â
âIf you want, we can just talk,â he offered me a smile.Â
I thought about it for a moment. While I did start this whole thing to try and find someone to talk to, I also did want this to break me out of this shy shell.Â
âNo, I want to do more but I donât know where to start,â I admitted.Â
Bill glanced at something off screen for a few beats before looking back at the camera. âWe have seven minutes. Would you rather us both do something, just you, or just me?âÂ
I sighed. âMaybe if you just did something? Since Iâm so fucking nervous, I think it would be better if I watched you.â
âYouâre kind of cute when you curse,â he winked. âAlright, as long as you're comfortable with it. How about you strip for me?âÂ
âI donât know why you would want to see me,â I said.Â
âYour shirt is thin, Y/N. The last four minutes of us talking, Iâve been looking at those pretty tits underneath. I bet theyâre round and so perky,â Billâs voice had deepened, his hand starting to leave the armrest of his chair.Â
âOh,â I muttered, glancing down at my chest which was in fact visible through my shirt.Â
âJust the shirt for me, Y/N. You can keep those green panties on. That alright?âÂ
Slowly nodded, I dragged up my shirt over my head, letting it fall to the bed next to me. Bill groaned, pushing his chair back so I could see all of him as he took out his cock from his boxers.Â
âI knew it. I knew your tits were perky round.âÂ
I watched, frozen, as he wrapped his hand around his cock in a grip that had to have hurt but only seemed to bring him more pleasure. This wasnât anything new for me, Iâd watch plenty of videos of him teasing his followers on Tik Tok or posting more intimate videos on his O.F.Â
Only this time, this was more private. It was only between us.Â
âLay down on your bed for me and spread your legs. Can you do that?âÂ
Billâs hoarse voice made my skin shiver with heat and doing what he did, I slowly laid on my bed with my legs spread wide. The show of him jerking himself off made a small wet spot appear on my panties, something he immediately noticed.Â
âThe sight of me choking my cock with my hand is making you wet, huh?âÂ
I nodded, slightly blissed out from the sight on my screen. Billâs jaw was slack as his hand moved in a fast rhythm. I studied the way his thumb would drag over the beads of precum on the head before using it as lube to make his cock slick with it. Or how he would grip the base of his cock, holding it for a few seconds before choking on a breath.Â
My pussy ached with the need to touch myself but I couldnât move. Too engrossed in the private show he was giving me. No one else. Me.Â
âCan you touch your nipples? For me, please.âÂ
Something flared deep inside of my gut at how he begged me so with another nod, I began playing with my nipples in the way I knew I liked. I arched off the bed slightly when I pinched a little too hard.Â
âYou like it rough, Y/N? The harder, the better?â
âYes,â I moaned, watching him through hooded eyes.
Bill licked his lips, tongue grazing over the mustache, and I let out a moan when I watched his hips stilled right as he spilled into his hand.Â
âOh fuck, Y/N. You see that? You see what you do to me?â He groaned, working himself through the aftershocks.Â
âOh my fucking god,â I moaned, letting my head fall back to my pillow and my fingers grazed over my panties.Â
I was going to wait to touch myself after the call ended, too embarrassed to do that in front of Bill. But seeing him come apart while he watched me pinch and pull at my nipples nearly tipped me over the edge and I knew I wouldnât last long.Â
Just as I went to slip my fingers inside of my panties, my phone began buzzing when the ten minute timer went off. Feeling the world drop from around me, I sat up in bed to silence the timer and stared at the laptop screen where Bill was slumped in his chair trying to catch his breath.Â
âIâve been doing this for a while but that,â he motioned to his messy cock, âWas so fucking messy.
A red hue covered my entire face and my ears as I avoided my gaze from the screen for a moment. âI bet you say that to everyoneâÂ
Bill reached for the tissues on his desk before he began cleaning himself off. âWell, it seems like our ten minutes are up. I hope it was everything you wanted.âÂ
Silence filled the air between us for a few beats as I tried to think of what to say. Do I thank him? Do I say see you later? Canât wait to see the next video you post?
âUh, yeah. Sure. Thank you for this, for everything you do. Itâs always a nice thing to see. Youâre a nice thing to see. Not your thing! I mean itâs nice, donât get me wrong. But-.â
Smooth, Y/N. Real fucking smooth.
Bill let out a deep and hearty laugh, running a clean hand through his hair, and tucked himself back inside of his boxers.Â
âYouâre fucking adorable when you ramble. Have a good night, Y/N.â
When the screen went black, I let out a long breath and closed the laptop. This was the one and only time we would have a private moment like this, just the two of us. Heâd continue to post videos, which I planned on watchling like I had before, but now I couldnât push away the lingering feeling that it would be different now. Â
I originally signed up for this thinking it would break me out of my shell, help me find out more about myself, sex wise, and what I was into for future partners. Hell, the few words I spoke to Bill was enough to fill the empty void in my life, even if it was for a few minutes. But now that it was over, I realized how much of a mistake it was. It wasn't the shame that usually followed after I watched porn but more so the disappointment in myself because the only way I could have a man's attention on me was if I paid for it.Â
Clearing my throat, feeling the burn slowly rise, I snatched up my shirt and walked towards my bathroom; Billâs words clinging to my sweaty skin.Â
Oh fuck, Y/N. You see that? You see what you do to me?

The Night We Met Pt.1
First FanFic if there's anything that should fix or work on please tell me I need the criticism
Damian Wayne x Fem reader
This is based off of my DCU DR... if you don't believe in shifting keep it to yourself cause I could careless I wrote this for fun. Reader is based off of me cause I love me. Reader, Damian and most of the people they interact with are in the 10th grade unless said other wise.
CW: slow burn like REALLY slow, swearing, reader has ADHD because I have ADHD, Split POV?
"Today is going to be a great day."
You stare at your reflection in your dorm bathroom mirror, leaning onto the sink to inspect your face. No glaringly red pimplesâwell, except for that one. Without hesitation, you pop it.
"I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it," you complain to yourself, grabbing a pimple patch and slapping it on.
With an approving nod to yourself, you back away, rush out of the bathroom, and immediately trip over a pile of clothes. You barely catch yourself before face-planting.
"Shit ok, note to self put these away before they actually kill me."
You shake it off, grab your backpack and cheer bag, and speed out of your dorm, locking the door behind you. As you make your way to the school building, you slip one AirPod into your ear and adjust your bags.
"Good morning!" you chirp, greeting every person you pass.
"You're late," a voice says the moment you reach the school stairs.
You scoff. "Nope, Iâm right on time, actually."
Alex, one of your best friends since you transferred in the middle of ninth grade, rolls her eyes. The rest of your crewâMia, Terra (yes, that Terra, the one whoâs supposed to be dead), and Brinleyâare already there, chatting about their schedules. After a few minutes of catching up, you all head inside to drop off your stuff before class starts. The last thing you need is to be lateâespecially since detention means suspension from the cheer squad.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damian Wayne hated school.
It was inefficient, mind-numbingly dull, and filled with people he had zero interest in interacting with... well that's what he told his father. But here he was black backpack strapped tightly on, security lock in place (only he and Alfred knew the combination), wearing the standard Gotham Public uniform in blue, white, and black. In his hands, a single sheet of paper listed his dorm and locker number, along with his class schedule on the back.
After several frustrating minutes, he finally located his locker. Right next to the bathroom.
"This is disgustingly unacceptable."
He scowled, reluctantly opening it and arranging his belongings inside. He grabbed his massive binder capable of holding twelve six-subject notebooks along with his sketchbook and pencil case.
BANG!
A locker slammed shut next to him, the noise so sudden and aggressive that Damian whipped around, fully prepared to fight.
Instead, he found himself face-to-face with you.
"Are you new here?" you asked casually, balancing an absurd number of thingsâan oversized laptop that clearly wasnât for schoolwork, a bag stuffed with library books, and a tiny, overstuffed backpack that was one bad tug away from falling apart.
But the thing that really made him frown?
That obnoxiously colorful pencil case sitting on top of your stack.
He scowled on instinct. You were chaotic. Loud. Distracting. He already disliked you.
"We have the same classes!" You say looking at his schedule over his shoulder "Cool. I'll show you around come on," already walking off without waiting for a response.
Damian blinked. Is she just assuming I'm going to follow her?
A part of him wanted to ignore you. Another part, the one that always sought information and efficiency, decided it was the most logical course of action. With an irritated sigh, he shut his locker and followed.
You lead him through the hallways, weaving through students while Damian silently trails behind.
âThis is the cafeteria. The food is actually pretty good for a public school, but oh my goodness, whatever you do DO NOT try the mystery meat unless you wanna meet God early.â
Damian barely listens. Heâs too distracted by the fact that âmystery meatâ even exists in a place meant for education and the absurd number of people who stop to talk to you.
Everywhere you go, someone waves says hi, or stops to chat. People throw out gossip, random compliments, and even inside jokes.
You know everyone.
Itâs exhausting just watching you socialize.
Damian, used to go unnoticed unless he wanted to be seen, and he found it deeply irritating. He didn't like unnecessary attention. He didn't like small talk. And he definitely didn't like how effortlessly you commanded every room you walked into.
As you continue to weave through the crowded room, students keep stopping you some to say hi, some to ask questions, and a few just to gossip for the hell of it. Damian watches, mildly horrified, as you effortlessly jump from conversation to conversation.
"Anywho," you continue, not missing a beat, "the library is on the third floor, but I swear its haunted, so if you hear whispering, just keep it moving."
Damian raises an eyebrow and scoffs. "There is no such thing as ghosts."
You stop and turn to look at him with the most offended look you could possibly muster. "Says the guy who has classes with me, meaning he takes Advanced Mythology AND Paranormal Studies. Boom."
He opens his mouth to argue but then immediately shuts it.
"Touche," he says after clicking his tongue in annoyance.
You grin before turning on your heels to continue the rapid tour. Makeing sure that the tour ends right outside of your first-hour class.
By the time the first bell rings, Damian has already learned several things: You are absurdly social, you have way too much energy for one person, you talk with your hands, aggressively. (He nearly got smacked twice already, you are completely, utterly, and unapologetically YOU.
And for reasons he canât quite explain yet,
But, it doesn't annoy him as much as he thought it would.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it took me 2 days to write this mainly because I was crocheting and working on my script buuuuut I'll try to make the next parts in about the same time span unless I get grounded đś

đđŚ'Cause you, you're my everything
Title from Good to Me (SEVENTEEN)
Summary: Dino seems to be having a migraine though he never has had one before. The members are worried and it gets worse before it gets better.
CW: emeto, migraines, seizures, hospitals and hospital procedures
Sickie: Chan/Dino Caretakers: Wonwoo, Joshua, Jeonghan, Seungcheol (+ others)
Wonwoo ran his hand through his hair as he power-walked through the company halls. He wasnât having the easiest day - somehow his schedule was incredibly long and there was no real break into later that evening. He loved being busy of course, otherwise he never could have made it as an idol but for the moment he just wished for a bit of space to breathe. He hoped that Seungcheol would go easy on them in the upcoming Hip-Hop Team meeting despite them nearing a deadline and not having as much finished as they probably should have.
He entered the room, Seungcheol already sitting at his laptop while Vernon and Mingyu were snacking on some dried fruits.Â
âThere you areâ, Seungcheol said, looking up. âWe were wondering if you got lost in the halls on the way here.â
âFunny, hyungâ, Wonwoo replied, plopping down next to Vernon and stealing the distracted maknaeâs strawberry he was holding.
âHyungâ, Vernon whined, pouting but just reached into the bag again.
âSorry, my schedule is just crazy todayâ, Wonwoo apologized, âI literally had to beg manager-hyung for a break so I could pee earlier before we left the photoshoot.â
Mingyu snickered and Wonwoo was very tempted to throw the strawberry at his head but he refrained just on principle of not wasting food. Instead he rolled his eyes and said: âWell, letâs âŚâ
At that moment his phone rang and he glanced at the caller ID. To his surprise it was Dino. Wasnât the maknae scheduled to have solo dance practice today? What could he want?
âSorry, itâs Channieâ, Wonwoo said, âI want to see what is up.â
He accepted the call.Â
"Hyung?", the maknaeâs familiar voice came through the speakers, though unusually quiet.
"Hey, Channie, what is going on?", he asked, stealing another dried fruit from Vernon.
"Where are you?", Dino asked in return.
"Hip-Hop team meeting", Wonwoo replied, confused. He thought Dino knew that, considering they always had meetings on Tuesdays. âIs something the matter?"
"No, it's, uh, itâs fine. Yeah, right, the meeting. I'm having a pretty bad headache, but I'll call somebody else to drive me home. Donât worry." Wonwooâs heart clenched at the shaky, stuttering voice of his favorite dongsaeng.
"Where are you?", the rapper inquired. Dino very likely wasnât in the practice rooms if he wasnât feeling well, especially if he was feeling so bad he asked to go home.
"Practice room bathroom. Spend the last half hour puking my guts out", Dino sighed.
Wonwoo echoed the sentiment, feeling worry rise. Clearly their youngest was truly not feeling well. But nevertheless, the Hip-Hop team meeting was important and they were thirteen people after allâŚ
"I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Can you try to find somebody else to drive you home? I am so sorry, really. Call me again, if you find nobody else to drive you home, okay?"
"Yeah."
They disconnected the call and Wonwoo looked up at three worried faces. âChannie isnât feeling well. I hope he finds somebody else to drive him home. Otherwise we might need to reschedule the meeting.â
Seungcheol nodded, eyes full of concern. Soon Wonwoo found himself swamped with the workload, practically forgetting about their conversation.
 đ
Dino, meanwhile, leaned against the bathroom wall. His head was aching, neck muscles sore from tension. He closed his eyes against the bright light. There were motion sensors in the bathroom and he knew he couldnât stay in this brightly lit room. Little stars were dotting his vision.Â
With both hands bracing the wall he carefully stood up, trying to keep his balance. He lifted his backpack on his back, nearly crying from the pain it caused in his neck.
Taking a deep breath, he opened the stall door, again blinking against the bright light, fighting terrible nausea for a moment. Then he stumbled to an empty meeting room, leaving the lights off. It didnât help much, he still felt awful.Â
Dino knew he needed somebody to drive him home. In his wish for his favourite hyung he had totally forgotten about the Hip-Hop meeting. But that meant that next to Wonwoo, Seungcheol, Mingyu and Vernon were out too.
He scrolled through his contacts, contemplating his options. Jun and Minghao were in China. Jeonghan was on a solo schedule. Woozi was likely busy in the studio and he didnât have a driver's license anyways. Seungkwan would nag too much. He loved Hoshi but he knew he would probably puke in the car considering how his hyung drove. Jeonghan was visiting his parents. So it only left Joshua - not that Dino minded. He loved his gentle hyung and he craved his soft voice if he was honest.
 đ
Fifteen minutes later Joshua knelt down before him and smiled.Â
"Hey, let's get you home, maknae", he said and gently helped the dancer to his feet. Once he was sitting in the overly hot car - at this moment Dino decided he hated summer - he shut his eyes and leaned back against the backrest.
"Sorry, baby, the AC seems to be broken", Joshua said apologetically as he put the car in drive. âI meant to get it fixed but we were so busy, you know how it isâŚâ
Dino didn't answer him, drifting between sleep and wakefulness in the twenty minute drive. He was very glad when they arrived at the apartment, the motion and the heat making him steadily nauseous. The elevator ride up to the apartments - okay, Joshua was taking him to the apartment Dino shared with Jun, DK and Vernon - was nauseating and Dino felt himself break out in cold sweat.
Once Joshua had opened the front door for him - Dinoâs own hands were too shaky and his vision too bad to enter the keycode -, he bolted to the bathroom. He retched pitifully as the pain in his head exploded even more. It was probably the worst pain he had ever felt and he felt so dizzy. His mouth tasted awful, he could barely breathe between waves of vomit coming up and his head pounded in time with his heartbeat. Even his ears ached.Â
When what was probably minutes but felt like hours was over he noticed a delicate hand on his back, rubbing comforting circles onto his back. Another hand landed on his shoulder and only then did Dino realise he had slowly started tilting to the side. He groaned and resisted the urge to rest his head against the toilet seat.
"You wanna lay down, baby?", Joshua asked worriedly.Â
He nodded, well he tried to, but his muscles seized up so badly he let out a very undignified pained grunt. It got the message across anyways and the older man carefully helped him to his feet for the second time that day.
He led him to his bedroom, as he kept his eyes firmly shut, and sat him on his bed. While he struggled out of his sweatpants and shirt, Joshua efficiently pulled the curtains shut. They didnât black out all the lights sadly. At this moment Dino wished for the blackout curtains they had all chipped in to buy for both Joshua and Woozi for their migraine attacks. If his hyungs only felt a fraction as bad as Dino did at that moment he pitied them. He didnât know how they survived pain like this on a regular basis and he didnât even know if it was a migraine he was having but rather a bad headache? After all, normally he didnât get migraines.Â
Once the room was as dark as possible he dared to open his eyes, looking up at Joshua. Due to the darkness and his squinty vision he wasn't really able to see him, only barely being able to make out his silhouette.Â
"Thank you, hyung", he breathed.
"Sleep", Joshua replied and gently moved him so that he was laying on his back. "I'll put a bucket on the floor in case you need to be sick again and be in the living room if you need something. Youâll probably want some quiet."
Dino closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him.
 đ
To say that Seokmin was surprised when he found Joshua eating his cereal in his kitchen was an understatement.
His hyung chuckled at his expression. "Close your mouth or you might catch flies", he said.
"Uhm, well, not that I don't like your company, hyung. But why are you sitting in my kitchen? And why are you eating my cereal?â, Seokmin asked and walked across the kitchen and grabbed a spoon.
"Dino has a migraine, I think. I mean, he never had one before but he looked as pitiful as Jihoonie does during his attacks. Itâs a pretty bad headache if not. So yeah, I drove him home from the company and decided to stick around should he need something. And I was hungry and I'm not gonna eat Hansollie's stupid healthy stuff."
"Fair enough. How is Channie?"
"Asleep, last I checked. He's been throwing up on and off. Couldnât even keep the pain meds down."
Seokmin sat down across from her and used his spoon to eat the cereal with her. It was his after all. Joshua just fondly rolled his eyes and pushed the bowl closer.
 đ
âI should probably check on him againâ, Joshua said once the cereal was eaten. âYou should probably stay here. I know you arenât the biggest fan of puke.â
He found their maknae tangled in his blankets, his forehead sweaty and creased in pain. His eyes opened when they stepped in.
Joshua sat down next to the maknae and brushed a hand through his soaked bangs.Â
"You're really warm, baby", Joshua mumbled, feeling worried. The maknae was getting worse and worse. "I'll get a thermometer, take your temperature and then you should go back to sleep, okay?"
Dino didn't answer, but when Joshua returned he had shifted a bit, the heating pad he had asked for earlier to relax his tense muscles visible under his neck. After putting a plastic cap onto the tip of the thermometer, Joshua carefully slipped it under Dinoâs tongue. The beeping sound made Dino whimper and Joshua tenderly carded his hand through his friendâs hair.Â
"Sleep", Joshua mumbled and pressed a feather-light kiss on Dino's sweaty forehead before he left the room and returned to the kitchen.
He studied the thermometer and frowned at the reading of 39.5 degrees. "Not good?", Seokmin asked, peering over his shoulder. "Oh, poor baby."
âIâll bring him an ice packâ, Joshua decided, âand take the heating pad. Even if it helps the pain itâs just making his fever rise. Heâll feel even worse then. I just wished he could have kept down the medication I tried to give him earlier.â
 đ
Three hours later, nearly all members were sitting in the living room. Joshua wasnât sure how that had happened. When he checked his phone he realised that Wonwoo asked about the maknae in the group chat (maybe Joshua should check his phone more often after all) and Seokmin had answered and now everybody was worried. Jun and Minghao had even jokingly asked if they should book flights back to Korea - though Joshua wasnât sure how much they were actually joking.Â
So now Hoshi, Seungkwan, Seokmin and Joshua sat in the living room. Even Woozi had come out of the studio - a bit embarrassed by his rushing to the maknaeâs side but defending his normally tsundere approach to life with knowing bad headaches could be. Jeonghan on the other hand had immediately slipped into Dinoâs bedroom, never one to stray far from his hurting kids.
Blessedly all of them were more or less used to migraines and so very quiet when they talked. They had put on a movie that was playing silently in the background, while most of them were working on something or playing on their phones.
They all looked up, as Dino's door opened and their maknae stumbled into the hallway, leaning heavily on Jeonghan.
"How are you feeling?", Joshua asked quietly, from where he was curled up on the couch.
"Urgh", Dino mumbled, but smiled weakly at them. He let Jeonghan move him to the couch, which Woozi and Hoshi had vacated as soon as Dino had appeared. He sank down gratefully and cuddled up to his hyung immediately. Seokmin handed Jeonghan the thermometer who coaxed Dino to open his mouth to take his temperature.
"39.6", Jeonghan read with a frown, "that's not better."Â
Woozi returned from the kitchen with a glass of water which he held to Dino's lips, knowing very well that the maknae would be too shaky to hold it himself.
 đ
Dino drank slowly, likely aware that anything could upset his stomach again. The headache was barely better, but he didn't feel like he was going to throw up any second anymore. With a sigh he leaned back against Jeonghan and closed his eyes.
"Yeez, no wonder your head hurts, your muscles are basically rocks", Jeonghan commented as he rubbed Dinoâs shoulder. The maknae cursed in pain, as Jeonghan put pressure on his neck, uncaring that his hyung was ⌠well, his hyung.Â
"Hands off", he mumbled, "hurts."Â
He noticed Jeonghan and Joshua exchanging a glance - probably because normally Dino enjoyed getting massages a lot and would often pester his members for one if he felt like it. RIght ow, he didnât feel like it. His muscles hurt so much he didnât think a massage would fix it.
âStop thinking, let me sleepâ, he grumbled and let himself drift off into a light sleep.
However, barely ten minutes later he jolted out of his sleep, stomach tossing and turning. He quickly sat up, but it was too late. Leaning over he retched and threw up the water ... all over Jeonghan. The older, to his credit, just helped Dino lean over further, so that the rest of the sick landed on the floor. Dino was shaking all over and he could barely muster the strength to move back upright, his body so stiff it felt impossible.
He could feel the other gazing at him, probably worried, but Dino wouldnât care about them. There was vomit all over Jeonghan and the couch and his mouth tasted like dead animal.Â
When he was finally done, Dino leaned back against the couch cushions. Only then did realisation hit. He stared in horror at Jeonghan, who just raised his eyebrow and said dryly: "Thank you for sharing that with us."
"Aish, hyung, I'm so sorry." Dino was mortified but Jeonghan just squeezed his arm.Â
"Itâs not the first time one of you kids threw up on me, love. It's not your fault that I forgot the bucket in your room."Â
 đ
Clean up was just done, when the door opened, admitting the Hip-Hop team. Immediately Wonwoo jogged over to Dino who was dozing on Hoshiâs lap.
"How are you feeling?", Wonwoo asked quietly, gently stroking the bangs away from Dino' forehead.
"Head really hurts, hyungâ, Dino whimpered. âStill really nauseous too.â
"Iâm sorry I couldnât come earlier, kiddo. Do you need anything?"
Dino smiled crookedly, feeling a bit embarrassed. But his bladder had demanded attention for a while and he could no longer ignore it. "I need to use the bathroom. Help me walk over there?"
Wonwoo nodded and lifted Dino to his feet slowly. Once youngest seemed reasonably steady he helped him walk the short distance.
"Remember, don't...", Wonwoo started.
"...lock the door, sit down if I feel dizzy and call if I need anything, I know, hyungâ, Dino repeated the words he had heard Seungcheol drill into Joshua and Woozi when they had migraines ever since Woozi had collapsed in the bathroom and it had taken Mingyuâs and Seungcheolâs combined strength to force the door open.Â
 đ
A few minutes later the maknae returned, still looking pale and he let Wonwoo lead him back to the couch without any fuss.Â
But then he looked up at the flashing police lights from the movie that was playing and froze. Wonwoo looked down at his dongsaeng and quickly grasped Dino tighter as the younger man's knees gave out under him. With a surprised shout that alerted their friends, he lowered Dino to the floor.
He could only stare in shock as every one of Dino' muscles tensed and then ⌠then Dino was seizing.
It suddenly didn't matter how long Seungcheol had been on his feet that day apparently (even though he had complained all the way back to the apartment), as he was the first on his knees next to Dino.Â
Quickly the leader turned the seizing maknae on his side. Wonwoo was only able to stare at what was happening in front of his feet. His dongsaeng, his Channie, was jerking in unrealistic ways that frightened him to the bone. It was the first seizure Wonwoo ever witnessed and he had never once imagined it to be as awful as it looked.
"Wonwoo-yah, letâs take a step back", Jeonghan said, suddenly next to him, his own voice trembling, "Cheollie and Jihoonie are helping him and Soonyoungie is on the phone with the emergency services."Â
Numbly Wonwoo watched how Seungcheol and Woozi tried to help the maknae, placing pillows against the walls. Hoshi indeed seemed to be on the phone and Seungkwan was staring at his wristwatch. Maybe he was timing the seizure. He couldnât spot Vernon, Mingyu and Seokmin.Â
The next time Wonwoo was aware, paramedics (when had they arrived?) lifted Dino on a stretcher, exchanging quick words with Seungcheol which Wonwoo's muddled brain couldn't make sense of, the leader crying.
Then Jeonghan was kneeling in front of him, no trace of Dino and Seungcheol to be seen. His mouth felt dry, his whole body was numb. He could see Jeonghan's mouth moving, but he didn't hear anything he said. Then Joshua was kneeling next to Jeonghan, his face worried, but a tiny smile on his lips. He looked up and saw all of his friends, except for Seungcheol and Dino and ... oh god, what was happening?
There wasn't enough air in the room, how could the others not notice it? Wonwoo clutched at his throat, trying to keep his turtleneck pullover from choking him any further. He whimpered and then arms were thrown around him and then at last could breathe in a familiar smell. Tears were leaking uncontrollably from his eyes but he clutched Mingyu tighter, pressing his face in his best friendâs shirt. Then sound came back and he was aware of somebody crying and whimpering, but even more so of Mingyu whispering soothing nothingness in his ear.
"'Gyu", he ground out, coughing slightly due to his dry throat.
"Hey, you back with us?", Mingyu asked tenderly, cupping Wonwooâs face and wiping his tears with his thumb. Suddenly a bit embarrassed Wonwoo nodded. Seungkwan tipped a glass of water against his lips with utmost care and he drank greedily to soothe his parched throat.
"'M sorry", Wonwoo mumbled. âI âŚâ
"Nothing to be sorry about", Jeonghan said. He had stood up and now was standing at the front door, obviously wanting to get to the hospital as soon as possible. "Happens to the best of us. It was scary, I'll give you that."Â
 đ
Wonwoo let Hoshi and Jeonghan pull him to his feet and was quite grateful that they didn't let go as his legs still felt like jelly.
They quickly entered Seungcheol's car, Jeonghan in the driverâs seat, Woozi passenger and Hoshi and Mingyu joining him in the back.Â
Mingyu pulled him close and Hoshi scooted to the door, so that even with the limited amount of space Wonwoo was able to rest his head on Mingyu's shoulder. Hoshi still held his hand in his, his thumb rubbing comforting circles on Wonwooâs wrist. The rapper was too hyped to sleep, though he felt his body crashing as the adrenaline died down, but he was able to relax against his friends a bit.
Soon after, Wonwoo found himself in one of the plastic chairs in a private waiting room of a busy Seoul ER. A door opened and Seungcheol stepped in, his limb more pronounced again. Crashing to his knees seemed to have done him in, Wonwoo noted vaguely as Jeonghan rushed over to support him.Â
Seungcheol squeezed his hand thankfully and sank down on Jeonghan's vacated chair.
"Dino's awake", he said with a forced smile. They all breathed a sigh of relief but it was short lived. "He is in a lot of pain, but they are running the test quickly. He already had a CT and MRI. They gave him some medication for the seizure, so he's good in that department. He's been freaking out at the prospect of a ⌠I forgot the term but they want to take a sample from his spine fluid. Wonwoo-yah, heâs been asking for you. I told him I couldnât guarantee it but do you want to go?"
Wonwoo nodded and moved to get up. He needed to be there for his dongsaeng now, especially if he asked for him. He still didnât feel great, more like he was about to redecorate the hospital floor, but he had to do this. Mingyu squeezed his hand encouragingly and then he stood in the small treatment room.
Dino, pale and shaky, was lying on his side on the gurney, dressed in a hospital gown. He seemed impossibly small curled up like this, even more than normal.
"Hey", Wonwoo breathed and strode over towards Dino. The maknae opened his eyes and looked up at him.Â
"Wonwoo-hyung?", he asked, his voice filled with a bit of uncertainty.Â
"Yeah, it's me." He gently wrapped Dino small hands in his. Seeing Dino, no matter how he looked right now, calmed him down significantly.
"I'm scared. What's wrong with me?"
"I donât know", Wonwoo said honestly. "But I am sure the doctors will find out why you are in so much pain and had that seizure"
"Seizure?", Dino asked, panicky. Wonwoo leaned forward and kissed his forehead. "Yeah, you had a seizure at the apartment."
"I don't remember", Dino said, closing his eyes again. "Shua-hyung drove me home and I went to bed. The next thing I know I wake up here with a worried Seungcheol-hyung, who looks like he just survived a war."
Wonwoo had no chance to answer as a doctor entered.Â
âGood afternoonâ, she greeted with a smile. âIâm here to perform the lumbar puncture. Chan-ssi, are you feeling ready?â
âNo, but I donât think I ever will. Just do it.â
"I promise I will be as gentle as I can, Chan-ssi. Relax, please, this will be a bit uncomfortable nevertheless."
"Focus on me, baby", Wonwoo said, running his finger across Dino' cheek, trying to distract the maknae. He nodded at the doctor who injected Dino' back with a local anesthesia. The maknae whimpered slightly and grasped Wonwoo's hand tighter.
 đ
Forty-five minutes later Wonwoo rocked a crying Dino in his arms, after the procedure was finally done. A nurse called somebody to move Dino's bed into a private room and nobody batted an eye when Wonwoo followed them.Â
Once Dino was settled into the room, an IV connected to him to give him fluids and anti-nausea medication, Jeonghan and Mingyu appeared in the doorway.
Jeonghan quickly walked over towards Dino and gathered him in his arms in a tender way, kissing his forehead. Mingyu stepped to stand next to Wonwoo and grasped his hand in his, squeezing it tightly.
"Visiting hours are over in half an hour", he quietly informed Wonwoo. The older rapper nodded.
Now that Dino was settled he felt the exhaustion weigh him down and his vision got blurry.Â
"Hoshi drove Woozi and Joshua home, pray for them. A manager is waiting for us to drive us back", Mingyu then added.
Wonwoo nodded again and then his knees buckled under him. He was so tired.
"Come on, hyung, sit down", Mingyu mumbled when Wonwoo sagged against him more and more with every second. He moved him to sit at the table in one corner of the room and sat down on the table, so that he could pull Wonwoo's head to lean against his stomach.Â
They silently watched Dino and Jeonghan talking to each other, Jeonghan impossibly gentle with their youngest.
A knock on the door startled all of them out of their thoughts and the doctor from before entered the room.
âGood evening. How are you feeling, Chan-ssi?â, she asked.
âTired. Headachy and tense. Still queasyâ, Dino mumbled, his head dropping against Jeonghanâs chest.
"Thatâs understandable. The tests just came back. They show you have contracted bacterial meningitis. You will receive some antibiotics for the next few days. You should count on being here for at least a week. Iâm sure your hyungs will keep you company during visiting hours but you need rest above all."Â
With that she walked over and connected Dino's IV to a small bottle of what seemed to be the antibiotic.
"Thank you", Jeonghan said and turned to Dino as soon as the doctor had left. âDino?â
âHm?â
âWhose baby are you?â
Dino sighed and rolled his eyes. âJeonghannie hyungâs baby.â
âThatâs rightâ, Jeonghan said. âYou are our baby brother. Donât scare us like this again. You can count on your hyungs nagging you for the rest of time.â
Dino smiled crookedly. âFrom what I gathered I think I scared you enough that youâll all wait on me hand and foot for the rest of time.â
âBrat!â
Notes: Lately I haven't been doing well mentally and especially with work it's been hard to write consistently. So this fic (and likely some future ones) are just rewrites and adjusted Les MisĂŠrables stories I wrote. I can assure you it's definitely my own story (even if the account name is different) and I mostly don't like doing this but I still want to present you some fics! This is why it also doesn't quite fit the request I based this fic on - because a) this was already written and b) I only headcanon Joshua and Woozi to get migraines and I needed something that looked similiar to one. I hope you enjoyed anyways!

I'm just imagining being nervous around the 141 and yet STILL garnering their attention.
Like, you've done everything in your power NOT to get noticed. You're as happy as a clam to work on all the behind the scenes issues. You don't even go out on the field!
You're the one to get gear in place, you're the one talking to Nik and supervising the equipment repairs. You make sure the armory is stocked and that the showers aren't running with rusty water.
You really DON'T want any eyes on you.
You just want to do your job and do it in fucking peace.
So why the hell are they always wanting your attention?
-
"There she is. Keepin' everything in order while 'm gone." Price chuckles, placing a hand on your back as he passes through the armory's narrow shelves. "Looking to take my spot as Captain hm, Love?"
You bury your face into your clipboard, trying desperately to ignore him. He's not going away but God do you want him to. His presence is always so overwhelming and his gaze so pointed. If you could shrink into nothingness you'd try.
-
"Oi, Bonnie!" Soap calls out to you at mess. He waves his arms wildly, making everyone look his way. "C'mere! Sit w' us today!"
He's so loud his voice echoes across the cafeteria. Recruits and lower ranking members shrink at the sound of it. So do you, even though you can hear only excitement in his tone instead of the usual ire he employs while training the rookies.
You know that if you decide to sit with your friends you'll never hear the end of it. But if you choose to sit with him and the rest of the all star task force you'll be under their gazes for the better part of the morning. You want to just drop your lunch tray and run out, but on unsteady legs and a bowed head you shuffle to the table.
-
"Well well, look who it is." Gaz huffs, looking up from his terminal set up in the surveillance room. "Thanks for packing those extra headset chords for me."
"Uh...yeah, no problem." You nod, trying to ignore him while simultaneously digging in an old box full of wires.
"Whatcha lookin' for?"
"Uh...a mouse. A wireless one."
"Here, take mine." He smiles, unplugging the tiny chip from the side of his laptop. "Need a new one anyway."
"It's alright I-"
"Just take it. You deserve it more than me." He hums, looking away wistfully. "If it weren't for those extra cords we wouldn't 'ave been able to call for evac on that last mission."
You take the mouse into your palm, feeling uneasy. Something about his demeanor isn't right. Gaz is always confident and sure. But the way he glances at you before he turns back to the computer makes you worried.
Is he...jealous?
You slip out of the door and close it behind you without making a sound.
-
"Need t' put a bell on you." Ghost grumbles. "Can't hear you n' those."
You stop midway down the hallway, confused and nervous.
You look down at your old, beat up reg boots from your PT days. They were definitely in need for a decommissioning, but they were comfy despite the fact that the soles had no tread anymore.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry." You awkwardly mumble. "Need new ones."
"No."
You raise a brow at him. It was just the two of you in one of the maintenance hallways which was, ironically enough, poorly maintained. The overhead fluorescents flickered and made it hard to focus.
"Keep 'em." He nods, turning away and showing you the full breadth of his back. He mutters at you as while he keeps walking on.
"Keeps you under the radar."

â§. â â â5 TIMES YOU SAT ON NANAMIâS LAP

1 - NAP TIME
The rain droplets pelleting on the living room windows is what wakes you up, along with the deep chuckle of thunder that follows shortly afterwards.
One second it was all sunny with bright skies and now, it is dim and dark, and the only light in the room emanates from the television.
You do not remember putting this show on. You donât remember falling asleep on the couch, either.
âOh, look whoâs awake.â
You sit up and there Nanami is, sitting opposite you on the couch, in his comfortable loungewear.
âHey, I was watching thatâŚâ You mumble tiredly. A yawn escapes you. You rub your eyes.
âYou were asleep when I came back, you know.â
âYeah butâŚâ you trail off. âWhen did you even come back?â
âAn hour ago. I was excited to get my âwelcome homeâ kiss but instead, here you were; fast asleep and snoring like a bear.â
âI do not snore like a bear!â
Nanami grins and rests his back on the couch. âDonât I get my kiss now?â
ââŚYou called me a bear.â
âNo, I said you sounded-ââ
âYeah, whatever, thatâs the same thing.â
âWell, not r-ââ
Heâs interrupted by your unexpected crawl across the couch and sitting in his lap, covering the both of you with a blanket.
You rest your head on his shoulder.
âDo i still get my kiss-ââ
âOh shut up.â
2 - OFFICE HOURS
A knock on his door shocks Nanami out of his focus. âCome in.â
His office door opens and you appear, wearing your baggy pyjamas and dragging a blanket across the floor.
â_____âŚIâve told you that you donât need to knock. Youâre the only other person who lives here.â
âYeah, but it seems rude to just barge in soâŚâ you waddle towards his desk where he sits, papers scattered all over his desk, âWhat are you doing?â
âJust some paperwork. Nothing interesting.â
âYes, I know that part.â You respond to his last two words. âThereâs a calculatorâŚâ
He lets out an amused huff. âWhat brings you here then?â
You shrug. ââM boredâŚwanted to see what you were doing.â
âSorry to disappoint, but I donât think my paperwork will entertain you very much, baby.â
âWellâŚâ You start. âIâm not exactly here for the paperworkâŚâ
Youâre now stood right beside Nanami and you peek at his empty lap.
Nanami notices. Nanami sighs.
He tucks out of his desk, just enough for his lap to be shown, and he only has to pat his thighs twice before your hopping right into it.
âComfortable?â You shuffle in his lap, looking for the right position. Itâs found, and you lean back to rest your back against his wide chest, blanket covering you legs.
âYeah, Iâm comfy.â
Nanami kisses your temple, and goes back to completing his work, which lulls you to sleep due to how absolutely boring it is.
3 - OVERTIME
Nanami heard keys fiddling with the door while he is on his laptop in the kitchen. He hears a loud, annoyed groan.
Must have been a long day for you.
Shoes are thrown onto the floor, along with your bag and your coat is flung onto the rack.
You trod to the doorway of the living room and Nanamiâs sees how tired and disheveled you look.
âHey, sweetheart.â
You only respond with a grumble.
âHard day?â
Another grumble from you.
âDo you want to tell me all about it?â
A jumpy grumble clambers out of your mouth as you dash over to him and plop down on his inviting lap.
âUgh, KennyâŚthese peopleâŚâ
He rubs circles on you back, gently coaxing the complaints out of you.
âTheyâre soâŚtheyâre just so stupid.â
Nanami canât help but chuckle at your bluntness and your genuine sadness at your coworkersâs stupidity.
âSeriously, they are! And donât even get me started on that damn boss.â
So Nanami listens to you rant about your dumb coworkers while he just relishes in having you sit in his lap.
4 - GATHERINGS
On the rare occasion that you and Nanami organise a friend and family gathering, this time in the form of a barbecue, it is a success.
More people than you were both expecting showed up and your backyard was filled with music, friends, family members, chatter, kids running around and the smell of mouth-watering, flavourful meat.
The gathering lasts from noon until late evening, at which most people have left and the only ones who still lingered were close friends.
âKento.â You walked up to where he sat on the outdoor couch, speaking to one of his work colleagues whose name you have forgotten. Something beginning with a âHâ, you think?
âHey, sweetheart.â He pauses his conversation to talk to you. âAre you tired?â
You were tired. You had been preparing the food, offering the food, playing with the kids, speaking to guests and now you feel the weight of all your hard work.
âI did not expect that many people to show upâŚâ
âNo, me neither. You did a great job, baby.â He huffs with a shake of his head. He then spreads his legs, more than they already are. âDo you want to rest?â
You are in in lap before he even finishes his sentence. Seriously, he does not finish his sentence.
He smiles at your urgency, admiring how cute you look curled up in his lap, your cheek squished up against his chest.
He takes a knitted blanket and throws it over your body, protecting you from the slight chill in the night air.
Nanami continues to speak to his friend, quieter now that youâre here, and caresses the back of your neck.
5 - BREAKFAST
âKento, Iâm- whatâs all this?â
After spending a short time searching for Nanami, you find him outside in your colourful, shared garden. He sits on the garden chair, and on the medium-sized round table is a well prepared, delectable breakfast.
âHm? Oh. This is breakfast.â
âBreakfast? But Kenny, I-ââ You look down at your phone, checking the time, âI have to get to work-ââ
âCall in late.â
You frown. âBut-ââ
âItâs such a nice morning, isnât it?â He looks to the sky, taking a sip of his tea before looking at you. âSpend it with me.â
Well, he wasnât wrong.
It was warm outside with beams of sunlight peaking through the gaps of the blooming blossom tree Nanami is stationed under. A gentle breeze curled through the air, the harmonic birdsong twinkled in your ears and the aroma of sweet-scented pastries wafted under your nose.
It did not take much to convince you.
âOkay. Iâll stay, but remind me to leave in thirty minutes.â
Nanami exhales and smiles, all soft and tender. âIâm glad. Come here, take a seat.â
Your stomach rumbles as you walk to sit in the garden chair opposite Nanami. He stops you.
âWhere are you going?â
âUhmâŚto sit down?â
âOh, no, noâŚcome sit on Kentoâs lap, sweetheart. I want you to try this danish pastry,â he breaks off a piece so you can have some, âitâs my motherâs recipe.â
Ignoring your heart skipping a beat at how he referred to himself, you sit on his thigh, and he wraps an arm around your hip. He holds the piece of pastry to your mouth.
âTry a piece.â
You open your mouth and allow him to place it on you tongue, you lips briefly touching his fingertips. You laugh a little, flustered as you chew on the sweet treat. He licks his fingertip, the same one your lips touched.
âDo you like it?â
âHmm! Itâs very sweet!â You are glad you said yes to this. Work could handle you being a little late.
âGood.â Nanami shuffles forward in his chair, bringing you closer to the table of food. He kisses your shoulder and runs his hands up and down your waist. âCome on, eat up. You have a long day ahead of you.â
Nanami did not remind you to leave in those thirty minutes.

Professor!Logan has always been professional, but you canât ignore the way he looks at you during his lectures anymore. Itâs subtleâ a look that lingers on for far too long when you raise your hand or a small smile when you answer a question correctlyâ but itâs enough to make your cheeks grow hot. He leaves you little notes on the papers he turns back to you, too, and you save every last one of them. Study material. âYou're smarter than most of my other students,â he praises, but you just giggle out a small "Thank you."
Professor!Logan is starting to catch on. Sitting in the front row, you're doing all sorts of things to catch his attention. Twirling your hair around your finger a little, biting the tip of your pen, crossing and uncrossing your legs. When he looks your way, you make sure to hold his stare, letting your eyes drop to his lips before flashing a small smile. After class, he orders you to stay behind, but you know this isnât about the paper you turned in. âYouâre not just interested in the material, are you, sweetheart?â When he walks around his desk, he doesnât sit. Instead, he stands in front of you, towering, and you look up at him, keeping your eyes on his. âYouâve been distractinâ me for a while,â He steps closer, and your back presses against his desk, âYou want me to show you what happens when I stop holdinâ back, darlinâ?â His hand slides up your thigh, fingers brushing against the hem of your skirt, teasingly close to where youâve been needing him all this time.
Professor!Logan knows you're back for more. Heâs got his reading glasses perched on his nose, running his hands through the stack of papers in front of him, âThis couldnât wait until office hours?â he asks, not looking up as he marks a paper and flips to the next one. You take a slow step forward, shrugging, âNo, IâŚâ He looks up now, leaning back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. âI wanted some extra help.â Loganâs eyes narrow slightly. You swallowed, âI just need to understand the material you taught today better,â you said, hoping he wouldnât notice the way your voice wavered. Logan chuckles softly, lips curling into a smirk, âIs that so, darlinâ? Because from where Iâm sitting, it seems like youâve got aâŚâ His eyes take you in, looking you up and down, âdifferent kind of help in mind.â
Professor!Logan is usually calling you back to his office after a long lecture. Youâre sitting on his desk, legs dangling over the edge as he stands between them, his hands running up your thighs. âYou sure you understood everything, sweets?â His lips brush against your ear before he presses a kiss onto it. One of his large hands slips around your waist, his fingers pressed firmly on your back, pulling you closer to him. You nod, leaning into his touch. âThatâs good,â his thumb brushes gently over your cheek as he tilts your face up to his, âBeen thinking about you all day, you know that?â He murmurs. You nod again, barely able to find your voice as his thumb brushes over your lip, and the look in his eyes tells you heâs just started.
Professor!Logan likes to keep you around now. You walk down the hallway to his office, a hot cup of coffee in your hand. You noticed the light still on under his door and couldnât help but think about him working alone, grading papers into the early hours. Knocking softly, you step inside when you hear his short âCome in.â When you do, Logan looks up from his laptop, brows raised in surprise before they rest as he smiles. âWhatâre you doinâ here this late, darlinâ?â He sounded so tired. You hold out the cup, and he takes it from you, his hand lingering on yours. âThought you could use this,â you murmur, watching as he takes a sip, his eyes never leaving yours. He sets the cup down on his desk and shakes his head, âAlways lookinâ out for me, huh? Come here,â he pats his open lap, âKeep me company for a while.â

Bucky didnât make small talk when he came back to the table with his second helping. You sat for maybe a minute before you went to clean out your bowl. As pretty as he was to look at, it felt rude to sit there and watch him eat and you werenât going to force him to chat. Standing at the sink, you felt him staring at you. He didnât look away either when you snuck a glance at him. He looked fascinated and you couldn't imagine why.
âDo I have food on my face?â you asked, swiping at your cheek when he continued to stare.
âNo.â He swallowed his last bite and licked his lips, making your cheeks warm as you looked away. âWas just looking at you.â
You glanced down at yourself, a nervous giggle bubbling up. âNot much to look at,â you mumbled, going back to get his empty bowl. âSo, you said early afternoon tomorrow to go to your place. Will 1 oâclock work?â
He leaned back in his chair, nodding. âShould be fine,â he said, observing you in continued curiosity as you finished cleaning up. You weren't used to someone observing you the way he did, and you couldn't pinpoint if the feeling in your stomach was nerves or butterflies. âYou trying to kick me out?â
âNo,â you said, your brows pinched as you sat back down. âDoes it seem like I am?â
âJust cleaning up quickly and asking about tomorrow. Seemed like you were trying to get me out of here.â He lifted his shoulder in a shrug. âI could be wrong.â
âIâm sorry if I gave you that impression.â You hadnât exactly planned for his company, but you didnât mind, and you werenât trying to be a bad hostess. You almost reached across the table to touch his hand but opted to give him a soft smile instead. âItâs nice having you here.â
His gaze softened, his lips inching upward before he cleared his throat. âAny plans for the rest of the day?â
âNot really. I do have to get on my laptop for just a few minutes, but thatâs it,â you answered. Since the trip was meant to be a romantic getaway and you were alone now, you didn't have much of anything planned besides relaxing. âYou?â
âNo,â he said, tilting his head. âWhy did you say that earlier?â
âWhy did I say what?â you asked.
âThat you aren't much to look at,â he said, tilting his head with another tiny smile that made your knees go weak. âYouâre beautiful.â
Your eyes widened, your cheeks hot. âThatâsâŚâ You thought for a second that he was joking, but his eyes were serious. The compliment was also completely unexpected, especially from a man who wasn't too welcoming a short time ago. âThank you, Bucky, but Iâm not-â
âDonât do that. If I made you uncomfortable, just say so.â His cheek twitched and guilt churned in your stomach at the thought of upsetting him. âYou don't need to brush off the compliment by trying to put yourself down.â
You looked in your lap, not wanting him to see the sadness in your eyes. Your ex should've called you beautiful, should've made you feel that way, too. And what happened? He strayed. You couldn't hold onto him. As much as you wanted to think there wasn't anything wrong with you, there was still that voice of doubt that said you weren't good enough or pretty enough. Insecurities had a tendency to seep in like poison. What was the remedy for that?
âI wasn't trying to brush off your compliment,â you promised, lifting your gaze. He didnât look convinced and that made you feel worse. He was only being nice. âItâs just⌠My confidence is a little shaken and self-deprecating is a defense mechanism, I guess.â
You wanted to run to the bedroom and hide when he regarded you. Why did you tell him that? Why did you tell him anything? He wasnât your friend or confidant, and it wasnât fair to unload anything like that onto him.
âIâm sorry. I-â
âDonât apologize. I understand what it's like,â he said, glancing at his metal hand. âTo have your confidence shaken.â
After what he had been through, you could only imagine. âHow did you pull yourself out of it?â
âStill working on that,â he replied, his eyes distant as he pushed himself up from his chair. âI should get going.â
âOh, okay,â you smiled politely and got up to follow him to the door. While it wasnât your intention to push him out, you may have inadvertently driven him away. âThanks again for chopping the firewood.â It saved you a lot of trouble.
âThanks for the meal.â He swept his eyes over you once his boots were on. âGuess we took care of each other, huh?â
âI guess we did,â you said. And you really appreciated his compliment. It felt nice after everything.
You were reminded once again just how large he was when he straightened up, your heart racing when he stood directly in front of you. That close you could smell the forest on his shirt. âDonât touch that axe again,â he ordered, his voice low and commanding. âIf you need anything, you come to me.â
Your throat went dry. He was so dominant in his stance, something in his tone sending a delightful shiver down your spine. There was also a predatory shadow in his eyes that gave you pause. He could eat you alive.
Out here, all alone, he could do anything.
âSay it,â he whispered.
âIf I need anything.â You had to clear your throat. âIâll come to you.â
Bucky stepped back and took some of the warmth with him. âLock the door tonight. I need you safe,â he said, leaving without another word.
The silence in the cabin was deafening as you were left alone. Bucky was⌠something. Curt at times, a bit defensive, and didnât have regard for your personal space bubble, but you werenât going to judge his social skills when yours were nowhere near perfect. He also seemed to like your company at least a little and was oddly protective of you.
âProbably thinks Iâm just a damsel in distress,â you muttered, going to get your laptop.
You thought back to the conversation you had with Bucky. He was out here for nine months now and had a cat. And you⌠your stomach sank when you realized you told him you lived alone and worked from home. He already knew you were out there by yourself and you basically implied that no one would realize if you were gone. At least, not right away.
âItâs fine,â you said, pushing the weird feeling away. Bucky Barnes was a hero, and you were a stranger in his territory. It was natural that heâd have questions. You had nothing to worry about.
You decided to sit out on the porch so you could look at the picturesque view again. Part of you wondered what it would be like to live out here full time. To walk outside on a cool morning and inhale the fresh air. To see the sun rise through the trees. You wouldnât have to worry about the bustling sounds of the city but could instead take in the quiet.
Which was interrupted by the sound of your phone ringing.
You smiled when you saw Kennaâs name pop up. She was one of your oldest friends. âHey,â you answered, putting the phone on speaker so you could continue to type. âWhatâs up?â
âHey, girl. Work sucked. Iâm seriously considering getting a sugar daddy.â You scoffed. She would never. She hated relying on others. âHow about you? How are the woods?â
âGorgeous,â you smiled, stopping to look around. âSorry work sucked.â
âItâs whatever. You actually get reception out there in the woods? Nice.â
âSo far, so good,â you said. You expected it to be a bit spotty, but it was fine for now.
âAnd you're feeling okay?â she asked with a hint of concern. âThat cabin was supposed to be for-â
âIâm fine. Really.â You didn't want her to worry about that. âBut I may have done something kind of stupid.â
âGod, you didn't call him, did you?â
âNo! No way.â You blocked his number and all social media accounts. You wanted nothing to do with him.
âThen what did you do?â she asked curiously.
âWell, thereâs this kind of grumpy, really hot lumberjack who lives near the cabin Iâm staying in,â you said, looking around to make sure Bucky wasnât nearby. It looked like you were all alone. âHe wasnât exactly nice to me when we met earlier today, and I may have snapped at him a little bit.â
âYou snapped at a guy who was rude to you? That doesn't sound stupid. Sounds like he deserved it.â
âYeah, that wasnât the stupid part,â you said, taking a breath. âI may have told him that I am here all alone for the next couple of weeks,â you blurted out, leaving out that he knew you lived alone, too, and that the grump in question was Bucky Barnes.
Your face scrunched up when you waited for Kennaâs response. âOh, sweetieâŚâ There it was, the condescending tone complete with a âsweetieâ on top. âWhy would you tell him that?â
âI don't know!â you exclaimed, lowering your voice with a sigh, âBecause Iâm an idiot.â
âYou're not an idiot.â There was a pause on the other end. âI mean, you did kind of shine a beacon over yourself that says âhey, take advantage of me!â because your self preservation skills arenât the sharpest, but I know that wasn't your intention.â
You made a face at the phone, your fingers taping the keys harder than you needed to. âWow. So, I am an idiot and anything that happens to me is my fault?â you asked. You were being defensive when Kenna was only being honest, which you appreciated. But being in the woods, the only thing you should have to worry about was bears, not people with bad intentions.
âNo! Thatâs not what I meant. You just see the world in a much brighter light than most of us do, you know? You feel like you can trust people to have your best interest at heart when you open up to them because you choose to see the good. But the reality is, the world isn't that bright, and most look out for themselves first.â
âRose colored glasses, I know,â you said, softer this time.
âListen, I shouldn't have said you put a beacon on yourself. People who do bad things are the ones at fault, not the people they take advantage of.â There was another pause. âMaybe you wonât have to worry about this guy but try to be careful.â
âI will,â you said. You had to look out for yourself.
âAnd before you say more, let me guess. You were nice to the grump after you snapped at him?â
âYou know me too well,â you smiled sheepishly. âI fed him.â
âOh, God, he tasted your cooking? Yeah, youâre in danger,â Kenna teased. She always praised your cooking skills. âHeâll probably be on the doorstep every day asking for a meal and youâll give him one.â
You giggled. âBecause Iâm a pushover?â
âItâs because youâre a good person, so stop with the self-deprecating,â she said. First Bucky, now Kenna. âIf I could just give you some of my pessimism and you give me some of your optimism, weâd be perfect.â
âThe perfect blend,â you said, though you didn't think Kenna was that pessimistic. She was just realistic.
âAlso in your defense, a hot grumpy lumberjack is like something out of a romance novel. I probably would've jumped his bones.â
âTrust me, you would,â you said. Bucky was drop-dead gorgeous, and he would probably have fun with Kenna. Why did that thought make you feel sick? âHe has a cat. And he said I was beautiful,â you said, your heart skipping a beat from the memory.
âOh, he did, did he? Okay, I know I just told you to be careful, but⌠maybe this guy can blow your back out.â You looked around again and debated taking her off speakerphone when you thought you heard a twig snap in the distance. âI mean, you deserve multiple orgasms after what he who shall not be named put you through.â
âKennaâŚâ you sighed, not in the mood to discuss your ex. She never liked him but tried to tolerate him for you while you dated. You were grateful she didnât say âtold you soâ when you broke up. âI just met this guy.â
âAnd? People go to bars and leave with people all the time. And all Iâm saying is that your ex is out of the picture, and you have some wounds exposed,â she said carefully, not wanting to upset you. âSo let this guy lick them clean if he offers. Let him lick something. I mean, heâs a lumberjack. Heâs probably pent up and a beast in bed.â
Heat spread between your thighs before you mentally dumped a bucket of cold water on yourself. No way did Bucky want you. âSo, Iâm no longer supposed to be careful. Iâm supposed to let him, what, fuck me?â you asked.
âBe careful and let him fuck you. Establish boundaries but have fun over the next couple of weeks. Go see his cat and then show him yours.â
You burst out laughing and covered your mouth so the sound wouldnât echo. âYouâre the worst.â
âIâm also the best,â she stated. She really was. âAnd who knows? This could be the start of something new.â
âI donât thinkâŚâ You sat up when another twig snapped, this one closer. You couldnât see anything when you did a quick scan from your seat. âHey, what would you think about coming out here for a couple of days so Iâm not alone the whole time?â
There was a beat of silence on the other end. She was probably looking at her calendar. âHmm. Iâll try to swing it with work, but no promises. Iâll keep you posted,â she said.
âYeah, just call or text me,â you said, shutting your laptop. If she couldnât, maybe one of your other friends wouldnât mind spending some time away from the city. âI gotta go.â
âMe, too. Take care. Carry pepper spray. Be safe,â she said, hanging up.
You slowly went to the edge of the porch and looked around the side of the cabin. There was a good chance the sounds came from an animal nearby, maybe a deer. You could blame the chill that ran through your body on the breeze. It was getting darker though and not being able to see much beyond the nearby trees didnât soothe your sudden nerves.
With a shake of your head, you went back inside. No one was there. You were just being paranoid.
Locking the door like Bucky instructed, you breathed a bit easier and wondered what youâd cook for him tomorrow. Something not too heavy since it was for lunch, but tasty. It was nice to have someone to cook for since the plan was to cook for two for the next two weeks.
You also thought about what Kenna said. Would there be any harm if anything transpired between you and Bucky? It would be nice to have some fun, but that wasnât really your style. You were always a relationship kind of person. And Bucky, well, you had no clue what he wanted.
âForget it,â you muttered.
Curling up on the sofa, your heart ached as you stared between the board games on the shelf and the small fireplace. There really wasnât much to do by your lonesome, but there was reading. Television. And you wouldnât put stock in Bucky spending lots of time with you while you were there. He wasnât responsible for you.
Sniffling, you curled into yourself more. The cabin was meant to be filled with laughter, sounds of pleasure, and more. Not silence. But youâd still have a nice time. You owed it to yourself. And if anything, maybe youâd end the trip with a new friend.
You were in much better spirits when you headed to Buckyâs cabin the next day. The spring in your step was partially thanks to the good night's sleep you had after reading. The bed was extra comfortable, and you woke up bright and refreshed. You could get used to that feeling.
The other spring in your step was, well, because you were having lunch with Bucky. You didnât want to admit how long you took to pick out an outfit in between making lunch and baking cookies. It wasnât like you were trying to get his attention or impress him, but you still wanted to look nice and presentable. And you wouldn't allow the thought of loneliness to dampen your mood.
âWow,â you whispered when his cabin came into sight. It was larger than the one you were in, simplistic and beautiful in design, and had a wraparound porch. You wondered how often he sat on the porch swing and if he brought Alpine out with him.
Taking a breath as you walked up the stairs, you gently knocked on the door. You didnât know why you were nervous. It was just lunch with Bucky. A handsome, brooding-
You didnât realize that Bucky had opened the door until you blinked, his blue eyes locked with yours. How many people cowered under his stare? He took up almost the entire door frame and a tiny sound escaped your lips when you noticed he was shirtless. The man had no shirt on.
You bit your lip involuntarily, trying your damnedest not to leer. Were you supposed to look at his massive chest? The scars on his left shoulder? The metal arm? Or was your gaze supposed to dip down past his torso to his jeans and⌠No. No. You werenât supposed to stare at all.
âRight on time.â His voice was gruff, holding a hand out to take your bag. âDid you have a good night?â
âUm, yeah. Did a bit of reading and went to bed early.â His fingers touched yours when you handed the bag over and you let it linger longer than you shouldâve. It wasn't like there was any tension between you two, right? âYou?â
âYeah. Uneventful,â he said before he deadpanned, âYou staring at me?â
Your mouth fell open as he raised an eyebrow. Saying yes would make you look like a creep and saying no might hurt his feelings. âWell, youâre shirtless,â you answered, making a point to look away when you gestured to him. You felt kind of bad looking, but it also felt wrong to not look. As if that was an excuse. âYouâre not cold?â
âItâs warm in here and I run warm as it is.â He didnât look at all embarrassed when you snuck another glance at him. âItâs also more comfortable with the arm sometimes to go shirtless,â he explained, giving you just enough room to squeeze past him. You couldnât stop your body from pressing against his since he didnât provide much room and you hoped he didnât notice the hitch in your breath. âIf it bothers you-â
âThis is your home and I want you comfortable,â you said, putting some distance between you once he shut the door. If he wanted to go shirtless, you wouldnât stop him. You could deal with him and his sexiness for a short time and get through a meal.
âI appreciate that,â he said, taking your coat and purse. âMake yourself at home.â
You lingered in the living room. Rustic with the exposed wood beams, but cozy and inviting with the plush sofa and chairs. The large stone fireplace drew your attention, along with the rug in front of it. The perfect place to sit and gaze into a fire on a cold night.
You moved close to the mantle to look at the three photos that rested there. One was of the sun shining on a large body of water with trees on each side. It looked warm and peaceful.
The second was Bucky with two other men, all three of them in leather jackets. You recognized them after taking a closer look: Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson, heroes just like Bucky. While they looked relaxed and happy, Bucky wasnât smiling at all.
Was that photo taken before or after the tough mission?
But the third photo wasnât a photo at all. It was an empty picture frame. Where was the picture?
âWakanda.â
You jumped and spun around, nearly bumping the mantle with Bucky so close. Your racing heart didnât go back to normal immediately. How did he move around so quietly? âWakanda?â you repeated.
He nodded to the first picture frame. âWhere that photo was taken. It was right outside of my hut, sometime after I started healing. I didnât have any nightmares that day.â His smile was soft as he reminisced. âIt was a peaceful time.â
You smiled softly, too. He deserved peace. âItâs a beautiful view,â you said. The view he had there was beautiful and peaceful, too.
âI assume you know who Steve and Sam are?â You nodded in confirmation. âThat was Samâs birthday. He made us take a picture together and insisted on framing it.â He rolled his eyes, but there was affection there that he couldnât hide. âI only have it up here because Steve said it would hurt his feelings if I threw it out.â
You looked at the photo again. Buckyâs hair wasnât as long as it was now and his stance wasnât as stiff, but the brooding expression was there. âI think thatâs nice,â you smiled. It was good that he had friends. âAnd what about that frame?â
His jaw clenched, his fingers grazing the glass. âItâll be a family photo,â he whispered longingly. âOne day.â
Your heart broke for him and the urge to soothe him skyrocketed. Before you could stop yourself you put a hand on his arm. His muscles tensed under your touch and you pulled away, regretting your action immediately. âIâm sorry I touched you.â You felt terrible. You shouldâve asked. âIâm sure itâll be a beautiful photo. A beautiful family photo for your beautiful home,â you assured him as he let out a breath. Heâd have that one day like he wanted.
He leaned in close, his lips close to skimming your ear. âYour touch doesnât bother me,â he whispered like it was a secret between you before he pulled away. If he caught you quivering, he didnât say so. âIf you think this room is beautiful, wait âtil you see the rest of the place,â he said, leading you away and not mentioning the family photo again.
You gasped when he brought you to the kitchen, your eyes bright as you took in the room. The rustic and cozy theme continued and you wondered if Bucky built the cabinets. You envied the open concept and counterspace and you wanted to weep over the large stove. The kitchen was the heart of a home and it was very much true for Buckyâs place.
âYou like it?â he asked.
âAre you kidding? I love it,â you said, running a hand along one of the counters. You didnât miss the way his chest puffed out with pride. âMy kitchen is so small, but a space like thisâŚâ
He unpacked the bag of food you brought, giving you a sideways glance. âMaybe you can cook here,â he casually stated.
Your eyes lit up. âReally?â you smiled, nearly throwing yourself into his arms. You refrained. âI can cook here?â
âYeah, really,â he said, tucking his hair back. Standing in front of the counter, shirtless, his hair down, he looked like a wet dream. âLike I said, Iâm not as good of a cook as you. Itâll be nice to get some better use out of it.â
You clapped your hands giddily and he actually smiled a full blown smile. âThank you, Bucky. Really,â you said. Youâd make something extra special. âI hope you like the sliders. I made cookies, too.â
He turned to face you, his muscles rippling as he stepped a little closer. This man really didnât understand personal space, did he? âHow did you know I wanted dessert?â he asked, that husky tone back in his voice. Was he implying⌠No.
It was like Kenna was both the angel and devil on your shoulders, one telling you to flirt a little, and the other telling you to play it safe. âJust a guess,â you said lightly, going for something in the middle.
You didn't feel like you could breathe properly until he stepped back. âI almost forgotâŚâ he trailed off, sauntering from the room.
You swallowed as you stayed rooted to the spot. What did he forget about? That he was still walking around without a shirt on?
Bucky came back with a beautiful cat in his arms, and you were close to swooning. It was quite the sight seeing a shirtless Bucky Barnes holding a cat, who looked at you with a curious stare. You didn't blame her for staring. You were a stranger in her home.
âAl, this is the woman I was telling you about,â he said, making your heart flutter when he said your name. He actually talked about you to her? It didn't mean anything special. He probably told her that a new visitor was stopping by. âCan you say hi?â
Alpine gently meowed, bringing a smile to your face. Bucky smiled, too. They made quite the pair.
âYou can hold out your hand for her,â he said.
You did so gently, not wanting to startle her. âHey, Alpine,â you smiled.
Her nose tickled your fingers before she nuzzled it, urging you to pet her. You did so, which earned you a purr in response. It was nice to get her seal of approval since Bucky said she was particular with people.
âWanna hold her?â Bucky offered.
âIf sheâll let me,â you said.
As soon as you held out your arms, Alpine crawled into them. Bucky looked pleased when she got comfortable and continued to purr. âShe really likes you.â
âI like her, too,â you smiled down at the feline. She was a sweetheart.
âPerfectâŚâ
You glanced up to find Bucky holding up his phone. âSorry. Just thought it would be a nice photo,â he said, his expression not at all apologetic as he showed you the picture he took of you holding Alpine. âYou don't mind, do you?â
âOh, no. Thatâs fine,â you said. Maybe he didn't have pictures of others holding her.
He glanced at the photo again and nodded. âI might have to frame this one,â he said, tucking his phone away.
Your smile wavered as he grabbed a couple of plates. That wasn't weird, was it? No. It was just a guy wanting a sweet photo of his cat.
âLetâs eat,â he said, rubbing his chiseled stomach. âIâm starving.â
We deserve a shirtless Bucky, don't we? Is that photo going in that empty frame? What do we think will happen next? Love and thanks for reading! â¤ď¸

The ice is empty, mostly. Placing your laptop in the sound booth and your shoes under the benches, you step foot on the ice. Theyâre there, on the other end, sitting on the cold ice with their jerseys still on, eating what looks like cups of dippin dots.Â
Seungcheol and Jeonghan, you remember from Lorelaiâs squealing, either donât notice you on the ice, or simply choose not to. Because itâs easy as you skate up to them, gaining speed from across the rink, you slide to a stop, sending a perfect spray of ice from your skates, directly into their cups.Â
Seungcheolâs full spoon hangs mid air, halfway to his mouth, now garnished with ice shavings.Â
âThought youâd have the respect to keep the dippin dots out of this,â Jeonghan comments, disbelief in his eyes as he looks up at you.Â
âIce is booked.âÂ
âWhat time?â Seungcheol asks. Your gaze flickers to the left side of his face, a nasty bruise blooming purple and blue that you hadnât noticed before.Â
âTwo sixteen. Itâs nearly fifteen minutes past.â
âYouâre only one person.âÂ
âAnd?â
âAndâŚyou have about 97% of the rink to yourself.â
You raise your brows, hands on your hips. âBut I booked 100% of it. So Iâm gonna need that plane of ice youâre currently sitting on.âÂ
âWhat if I donât move?â Seungcheol presses. Itâs menacing, the way he looks at you, like heâs a dragon only waiting to be provoked.Â
âWeâll find out another day,â Jeonghan sings before you can snap back, grabbing onto the collar of Seungcheolâs red and white jersey to yank him up. He continues to glare as he obliges with his friendâs tugs, nearly as angry as you are. âLetâs go, sport.â
You watch as they walk to the exit of the ice, realising theyâre wearing their shoes instead of their skates.Â
Jeonghan calls from the benches, right before he and Seungcheol move out of view. âTrash those for us, would you?âÂ
Their half eaten dippin dots cups, with the ice now melting on them remains on the floor of the rink.Â
Once again, the unexplainable urge to kick something befalls you, hearing them laugh and talk from far away as they exit the rink behind their long gone teammates.Â
You give in, swinging a leg over to kick the cups and spoons, dippin dots and plastic scattering across the ice. Itâs another sprawl of mess youâll have to clean up, but it feels good to ruin something of his, no matter how inconsequential.Â
The empty rink is only encouraging you, needing to scream so loud the plastic barriers crack and break. You know itâs impossible, but that doesnât stop the urge.Â
You channel it into the most aggressive warmups on ice youâve ever done. Your spins are faster, your jumps higher. But this also means you crash heavier, fall harder.Â
Itâs then, sitting on the bench to take a break, breathing so heavy you can hardly sip your water, you find an unmistakable headline on your browser home page.Â
Everything stops.Â

You found yourselves sitting in a somewhat fancy cafĂŠ in Austin, enjoying the warm weather as he told you about his day.
Lando had been a little bit busy with the duties that carried being a Formula One driver, so any little time you could spend with each other was well appreciated, so sitting really close to him in one of the couches as you sipped your coffee was nice.
However, you took a few days of vacations to go with him to the American races, but that didnât mean you were completely off the hook since you carried your laptop everywhere in case you needed to get something done, which is what happened right now.
You got a notification on your phone from what seemed like an important email, so you pulled your laptop out to take a look at the file your boss had shared with you, promising Lando it wouldnât take more than five minutes.
It had been like fifteen minutes and you were still reviewing it, now with your phone on your ear while you talked with someone about this new project you were supposed to take over once you got back as Lando had your computer on his lap.
He didnât really mind, or at least that was what he always told you. Here is the thing: he understood that your job was important for you, and he appreciated the fact that you took a few days just so you could be with him, but sometimes he just wished you could quit so he could take you everywhere with him without having to worry about you focusing on a screen instead of him.
Was that selfish? Maybe, but who could blame him for wanting his girlfriend to be all his?Â
You would never describe Lando as the possessive type, and maybe it was because he never voiced his concerns out loud. He was jealous sometimes, thatâs for sure, but possessive? Not really.
âSorry, baby. I really had to take this,â you said as you hung up the phone.
âItâs okay, but I donât understand why you still have to do all of this if you are supposed to be on vacation.â
âI know, Iâm sorry. I thought I would be able to go the full month without having to do any of this,â you sighed as you took one last look at the email. âI will try to stay off work for the rest of the time we are together, I promise.â
That really pissed him off. If you were on vacation, shouldnât you be able to enjoy it? Lando was building up the courage to tell you what he had been thinking pretty much your entire relationship, carefully thinking about his words. âMaybe you should quit-â
âOh, hi Y/N,â a random voice interrupted him, making both of you look up. You both saw one of your coworkers standing there, entirely ruining Landoâs plan to covince you to leave your job and become a full-time wag. He could already feel his blood boiling.
âOh- hi,â you replied, trying to remember the guyâs name.Â
âI didnât know you were here. I mean, I knew you were off, but I assumed you were just staying home. Nice to see you are enjoying your free time travelling.â He was completely ignoring Lando, not directing a single word to him, not even a quick glare, and Lando didnât like that. Not one bit.Â
âYeah, I took time off to go to a few races,â you said, motioning your head towards your now upset boyfriend. âWhat about you?â
âIâm here to attend my brotherâs wedding,â he said with a small laugh. âBut I didnât bring anyone with me, so it will be a bit awkward to be the best man without a date.â
Lando already knew where this was going, and he was using all his self-control not to punch the guy in the face and tell him to fuck off. They were in a public place anyway, and he knew his team would not like to see something like this hit the news, but man, the guy really deserved it.
âHey, unless you are free tomorrow. Would you be interested in coming with me? You know, free food and free buzz. Big party.â At that moment, Lando felt his coherent thoughts leave his mind, his hand finding a place on your thigh and squeezing it softly as he killed him with a glare.
âWeâre busy, actually, canât you see?â Lando finally spoke, in a tone you had never heard before, as he pointed to the open laptop that still rested on his lap.
âOh, I didnât mean right now," the guy replied, finally acknowledging Landoâs presence, but he turned to face you again. âThere is a rehearsal tonight, but tomorrow-â
âWe have plans for tomorrow." Lando interrupted, bringing you closer to him with his hand still gripping your thigh. âDonât we?â He said, looking at you.
You looked back at him, slightly blushing at your boyfriendâs actions. âYeah, sorry⌠uhâ
âJoeâ
âRight, Joe,â you repeated, giving him a friendly smile âSorry, Joe.â
âGood luck being alone at the wedding though." Lando wasnât trying to be friendly at all; if anything, he just wanted him to stop hitting on you and leave immediately. âSee you around, mate.â
Joe looked at you, as if he were asking you for confirmation to leave. âIâll see you back at the office,â you said, waving him goodbye.
Joe sighed loudly as he started to walk away, and Lando smiled proudly and kissed your temple.
âWow, I knew you were jealous, but I didnât think you were that jealous," you whispered, placing your hand on top of his.
âIâm not,â he frowned his eyebrows as if he was being falsely accused. âWeâre just really busy.â
He stared at you with eyes full of... anger? You werenât sure, but you knew for a fact that heâd be leaving marks on your thigh if he kept gripping you like that.
âYou know I wouldâve said no, right? You didnât have to scare him off like that.â
âWeâre leaving.â Was all he replied, taking his hand away as he closed your laptop, standing up and walking away from where you were sitting.
You tried to follow him, but he was walking so quick he was already waiting in the car when you got there. You let out a sigh as you opened the door, sitting beside him as you tried to think of something you could say to get his mind off what just happened.
âSo, itâs a sprint weekend. You havenât done one of those in a while.â
But he barely let out a sound at your words, at least acknowledging that you were talking to him but not caring enough to say something back. Thatâs how it was for the rest of the ride back to the hotel, you trying to talk about anything and him just grunting, and by the way he was gripping the stearing wheel, you knew he wouldnât let this go any time soon.
Once he parked the car, he got out and waited for you a few seconds to collect your things and be next to him, grabbing your hand tightly as he guided you to the elevator and back to your room, and as soon as you were inside, he dropped your hand and found a seat on the small couch that was placed next to the hotel bed, staring at you as if he was waiting for you to apologise for something that wasnât even your fault.
âLando, letâs not do this, please. I would have never in a million years accepted to go with him, even if you werenât there-â
âOn your knees.â
âWhat?â You asked in disbelief after a few seconds of silence as he unbuckled his trousers and pushed them down until they were pooling on his ankles.
âYou heard me, go on.âÂ
You slowly made your way there, watching him as he slowly pumped his length. At this point, you werenât even thinking clearly anymore, and doing as he said just came naturally to you, so you dropped to your knees once you were in front of him, swallowing harshly when he motioned his head towards his angry cock.
Not thinking twice, you took him in your mouth and started working on it, knowing teasing him right now was far from a good idea.Â
âWhy donât you take some more, love?â He said as he quickly took a hold of your hair, pushing your head down his shaft.
You could really feel his size because of the stretch your mouth feels, which you always did, but given the situation, it somehow felt more prominent. Your cheeks were hollowing around him, and one of your hands was wrapped around his base as your other one gripped his thigh, nails digging into his tanned skin.
âYou know you are mine, right?â He asked you in a shaky tone. âNo other guys but me should be thinking about talking to you, asking you to be their date- ah- only I get to have you like this, so pretty with your mouth around my cock.â
You let out a moan at his words, secretly loving this side of your boyfriend, and the vibrations made him let out another moan as he used his grip on your hair to guide your movements.
âNo one else will ever see you like this, right, baby?â You tried and failed to nod your head; you didnât even have control anymore, you were just trying to follow what Lando was silently instructing you to do.
His hold was getting tighter as you sucked his crown, which made him let out the deepest moan you have ever heard from him as his fingers tightened even more, unintentionally bucking his hips up once. You gagged around his cock, taking it gracefully as mascara tears rolled down your face.
âShit, I could have you like this at all times. You are doing so good, angel.â His words were breathy and full of bliss as he got closer and closer to his release.
The way his cock twitched inside you and his thighs tensed under your hand made you know he was seconds away, the echoes of his moans bouncing off the walls as he started thrusting his hips up, his cock hitting deep inside your throat. With one last hit, you felt his hot cum filling your mouth, some of it smearing on the sides as you happily swallowed all of it, making you slow your movements down with his hand.
When he started to catch his breath, he pulled your head off his cock, dropping your hair and patting his lap so you would sit there, which you immediately obeyed.
âWhy donât you quit that stupid job so I donât have to worry about assholes like him hitting on you?â Landoâs hands were roaming your thighs, slightly parting them as his hand sneaked into your underwear.Â
Your breath hitched when his fingers explored your folds, finally landing on your clit with an insane pressure. He started rubbing hard circles, his mouth so close to your neck you could feel his hot breath.
âYou are mine.â A moan scaped your lips at this. âSay it.â
âIâm yours, all yours.âÂ
As soon as you said this, one of his fingers entered your desperate hole, quickly finding a pace for you. He was desperate to make you come, and you knew he would get it within minutes if he kept playing with you like this.
Lando found a place on your neck, kissing and sucking your sensitive skin as he dipped a second finger inside you. âYou think anyone else could make you feel this good? Mhm?â
âNo,â you breathed out, fingers gripping his thighs.
âGood.â
You werenât sure if it was his fingers or his words, but your stomach was quickly building up that familiar feeling as your hips started moving against his hand, making him use one more finger as you completely lost yourself in pleasure.
âLando- fuck.â
âThatâs it. Cum for me, love.â
His teeth were niping the skin on your shoulder, and only seconds before your orgasm hit you, you let out a loud moan, making him smile as he somehow fastened his pace.
With a few more pumps, a wave of bliss travelled through your body, your head falling back and into his shoulder as he helped you through your orgasm. At this point, your body had stopped moving, and all you could do was moan and squirm under his touch.
ââs too much,â you managed to say.
âSay it again.â
âSay what again?âÂ
âSay you are mine.â
âIâm- ah- Iâm yours, Lando, only yours. Shitâ You complied as a string of moans scaped your parted lips.
âGood girl,â he said, finally taking his hand away from your sensitive pussy and kissing you, slow and possessive as one of his fingers cleaned the cum that was still on the side of your mouth. âNow, letâs get you changed. Weâre going to dinner.â Lando softly pushed you off his lap, standing up as he pulled his trousers back up. âOh, and make sure to wear that black dress I love so much.â

In-ho got a cat â a green-eyed, silver-tipped Korat he named Eunjoo. He thought about getting a dog, but dogs were high-maintenance, loyal and loving, and his job didn't allow him a loving pet. It didn't allow him to get attached to humans or animals. But Eunjoo was aloof and independent, and only rubbed against his leg when she wanted food. She refused to be handled and rarely played with the toys In-ho got her, but the cat was a necessary soul in his empty penthouse. It still wasn't enough to fill the hole in his blackened heart, but it was better than coming home to nothing and no one.
Trouble came when In-ho had to leave for eight days for the 32nd Squid Game. He quite obviously couldn't bring Eunjoo with him, and he couldn't let her starve, either. Not only that, but her litter boxes had to be cleaned regularly, and she needed fresh water daily, which left him with only one option â getting a cat sitter, as stupid as that sounded. In-ho felt ridiculous typing the post on a website for dog-walkers and pet sitters, but he did it nonetheless.
Businessman going on an eight day trip. In need of an experienced person to do home visits twice a day for my Eunjoo. 30,000 won per day. Based in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.Â
He attached a picture of the cat along with his email, and waited. There was enough time to select a sitter before he left, and he browsed several profiles of pet sitters. Most of them had fantastic reviews, but asked for more money. Typical, In-ho thought. How typical for people to ask for more than necessary. It wasn't as though he wasn't willing to pay more â he had enough money, and would gladly spend it on Eunjoo â but it was the greed that disgusted him. The audacity to ask for 70,000 won a day to feed a cat and change her water was insane.
In-ho closed his laptop and left it on his coffee table in the living room, then walked into the kitchen to feed Eunjoo. She came from her hideout at the sound of a can opening, cautious of her surroundings, then rubbed her head against In-ho's leg, patiently waiting for her food. The cat didn't immediately eat. Instead, Eunjoo waited for her owner to sit down and have his dinner, and the corners of his mouth turned into a half-smile. Better than most people, In-ho thought. She wasn't greedy, she was understanding in ways some humans couldn't be. And so, he reheated yesterday's bulgogi and sat down with a side of freshly cooked rice. Only then did Eunjoo eat her dinner, checking on him from time to time to make sure he was also eating.
Ding!
His phone lit up with a notification. In-ho unlocked it and opened the email he had just received from a pet sitter.
Good evening, sir! My name is Y/L/N Y/N and I would like to meet Eunjoo. I live in Guryong Village and can take the bus to Gangnam-gu whenever you need me to, as I am quite flexible with my schedule, but I need to be completely transparent with you. I've only taken care of my cousin's cat over summer, so I am not the experienced sitter you are looking for, but I am asking you to please give me a chance. Have a good evening!
In-ho scoffed at the words on his screen. He was specifically looking for someone with experience, but he appreciated the honesty. It was a rare trait nowadays, and he was a fair man who gave everyone equal chances. It was the root of his job, after all.
Tomorrow morning, 9 o'clock, Bongeunsa-ro 103-gil, across the street from Shinhan Bank. I'll pick you up from downstairs. Don't be late.
The clack of your heels irked you as you hurried down the street from the bus stop to the address provided by the cat owner. It was a sound you weren't used to, but you needed to make a good impression when lacking experience. People all around you were dressed in expensive suits and dresses, clothes you could only dream of wearing, and the cars that swerved across your path, nearly running you over, looked like they cost as much as your house. It wasn't the first time you walked around Gangnam-gu, but it was the first time you spent more than five minutes surrounded by people who lived lavishly while you survived on Samyang Hot Chicken Ramen Stew.
And yet, you wouldn't trade your instant noodles for samgyeopsal or bossam if it meant selling your soul. Because that was the price to pay for riches and luxury, wasn't it? No, you would make ends meet somehow and live an honest life without becoming a coldhearted monster, just like your father taught you.
You checked that the address in the email matched your location, and waited for someone to talk to you, unsure how they would even recognise you. Although, on second thought, the thin, flimsy cotton of your dress and loose threads around the hem were a dead giveaway that you didn't belong in Gangnam-gu. You didnât belong amongst the rich.
"Excuse me, Miss Y/L/N?"
Turning on your heels, you were met by the darkest eyes you had ever seen, eyes that looked as though they had both witnessed and committed unspeakable atrocities. And yet, there was a strange remorse in them. The man looked around 45 years old but not a single gray hair on his head, which was ironic, because you probably had more white strands hidden in your locks. Your gaze darted down at his extended hand, and you shook it while bowing down as a sign of respect.Â
"You must be Mr. Hwang. I can't thank you enough for agreeing to meet with me. I promise I won't let you down if you give me a chance!"
Oh, you were a talker. In-ho had met your kind before, aimlessly sleepwalking through life, serving no greater purpose except for entertaining those who rid the world of gamblers, addicts, beggars and thieves. Not that you were in any of those categories â In-ho didn't know you that well yet â but the way you presented yourself made him think you would have made a suitable player in the game.It was too late to recruit you now. Perhaps next year, if you made it that far.
You followed Mr. Hwang into the elevator, surprised that it wasn't stopping until reaching the last floor of the building, and when the doors opened, they revealed a small hallway with just one apartment. He had no neighbours above or around him, and you couldnât begin to imagine how lonely it must've been. Surely his wife or girlfriend kept him company, or perhaps he had children â In-ho did look old enough to be your father.
He unlocked the multiple locks on his door â he must have been really rich â and invited you in. For a moment, a split second, you wondered if you had made a mistake coming there. The man could be a serial killer for all you knew, and with almost no neighbours, who would even hear you scream? You heard stories about wealthy people who took pleasure in hurting others. The lack of pictures of a wife or children only strengthened that doubt, but the intrusive thought soon dissipated when, from the corner of your eye, you spotted a silver tail hanging from a dining chair.Â
Paying no mind to the tall double fridge, or the black U shaped velvet sofa that could fit your entire extended family, or even the view from his floor-to-ceiling windows, you kicked off the uncomfortable heels and got down on all fours, crawling closer to Eunjoo before sitting on the tiled floor with your legs crossed. It caught In-ho completely off guard â unpredictability was something that bothered him. Usually when he brought girls over they would bombard him with a million questions about his job, his car, his clothes, his bank account. You didn't, and it both infuriated and intrigued him. But then again, he brought you there with a different purpose.
"What are you doing exactly?" In-ho circled around you like a hawk, watching you intently.Â
"I've read that it's better to allow cats to familiarise themselves with people instead of forcing affection onto them." You sat still, chin tilted upwards to look at him with innocence in your eyes. "I may not be experienced, sir, but I did my research."
He wasn't particularly impressed by your research skills, not even when Eunjoo jumped from the chair and walked around you, curious yet apprehensive. One paw hovered above the floor in mid-air, and her tail was lowered, almost touching the ground, as the cat slowly and cautiously approached you, sniffing the hand you extended.Â
"So, what do you do for a living?" You broke the spell, not on Eunjoo but on In-ho, who was watching you try to befriend his cat. He hadn't realised he had been staring for longer than he should have until you spoke with disinterest in your voice. You didn't really care what his job was.
"Business." He simply said and you chuckled at his response. "Something funny?"
"I'm sorry, I just thought it would be nice to make small talk while we wait for Eunjoo to get comfortable." You shrugged. "But it's fine if you don't want to talk about that, sir."
Sir. It sounded so different coming from you and not one of his subordinates at the facility. In-ho quietly pulled a chair from under the table and sat down, but Eunjoo had finished inspecting you. She lifted her tail, the tip curled â a sign of playfulness â and you scratched her chin.
"Good girl, Eunjoo! I'm sorry, I don't have any treats." You sat up after the cat lost interest in you and hid behind the sofa.
"So you're inexperienced and unprepared." His voice was cold and judgemental and you lowered your head in shame.
"I'm really sorry, sir. I don't have a great financial situation, that's why I need this job. I can water plants and clean the house, I can even do your laundry and iron your shirts, and I don't want any extra money, just the payment for cat sitting." You sounded so desperate it was pathetic. "Please."
The last bit of your sentence was what caught In-ho's attention. No extra money? Who in their right minds wouldnât charge more for additional services? Were you planning on stealing from him while he was away? Not that it mattered â he'd find you and kill you upon his return from the island if you did. However, he found it to be an interesting game, a bet of sorts. You would win if you were honest for all eight days. He would win if you stole from him and abused his kindness.
"You're hired." In-ho nodded, the look of surprise mixed with gratitude on your face making him feel like some sort of god.
"I swear you won't be disappointed in me, sir. I'll leave the house spotless every day, and I will take good care of Eunjoo!" You nodded eagerly, beaming at him.
"I know you will. She takes breakfast at 7 and dinner at 9, and there is an automatic feeder set at 2 pm for lunch." He explained and you took your phone out to quickly take notes. "Make sure you change her water in the morning and at night, and scoop her litter boxes every time you're here."
"...scoop the poop twice a day. Got it." You mumbled while typing. "Do I give her wet food in the mornings and evenings?"
"Yes, and please check that the automatic feeder is stocked. You will find all her cans and kibble in this cupboard." In-ho walked into the kitchen and showed you where Eunjoo's food was. There was more cat food in that cupboard than you had in your house.
"Perfect. Where is the bin room located?"
"Underground. The code is 456654."
"Thank you, Mr. Hwang! I won't let you down. Oh, I should give you my phone number, right?" You asked, feeling a bit awkward for being so straightforward.Â
"Whatever would I need your number for?" He almost laughed.Â
"How else would you see Eunjoo?"
"Right. Forgot about that." In-ho scratched the back of his head. He couldn't exactly tell you that there were cameras everywhere in his house.
"Two more questions. Am I allowed to play music or movies on your TV and could I take a shower after cleaning? I'm bringing spare clothes and my own towel and soap."
"Yes, of course you can. Please help yourself to anything you need. I trust you'll figure out how the coffee machine or dishwasher work." He nodded.Â
"Yeah, I'll figure it out." You lied. You had never used a dishwasher before.
"Great. I leave in three days. Please be here the day after my departure. Here's the spare key."
"Thank you, sir!" You bowed and walked to the door to put your shoes back on. "Good luck on your trip!"
"Thank you, miss. Good luck to you, too."Â
The bet was placed, the game was on.
