HELP REBUILD MAHER AND SAMAH'S LIVES

hello my friends, i write this with a heavy heart to implore you to hear the story of Maher Al Attar who is in dire need of our support.

a beloved community member in my city (WHO HAS HER OWN FUNDRAISER, which is $40,894 away from its goal and you can access HERE) has shared with me that her relatives, young couple Samah Alaydi and Maher Al-Attar, have started a Gofundme campaign to support their dream of rebuilding their future after it was destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

Maher and Samah have suffered unfathomable losses in the genocide. the IOF has destroyed the home that Maher had built from scratch, martyred 9 members of his family, and injured his right leg so severely that it had to be amputated in March. now, Maher and Samah wish to recover, rebuild their home, and start a family together. to read what Maher and Samah have written about their experiences, please visit their Gofundme campaign, which you can access here

Samah and Maher need safety, stability, and access to medical care so they can begin to recover from the horrors the occupation has imposed on them. we can help to support their dream with our donations.

He's personally one of my favorite characters. I have not gotten to book 7 yet tho...

My opinion on him changed drastically over time, initially he was my least favorite character and I found him kinda annoying, but then I got to play the Halloween and the Glorious Masquerade events!

Truly he is just as ridiculous as everyone else at NRC, and I love that about him.

I rarely make things that lend themselves to video, but carving down these "stones" is so visually satisfying- as well as feeling good in my hands. They're made of all kinds of scrap paper from my hoard, laminated together with various glues and paints, embedding memories in a physical form and transfiguring detritus into something surprising, intricate, and precious.

first of all, where would you record your cassettes? do you want to buy a bulky stereo, turn on the radio and painfully wait for the song you want to record only to it to be cut by few seconds at the beginning and the end by the DJ talk?

do you want to directly buy official cassettes only for them to melt the first time you left them in your car (and lose the cover immediately btw).

or do you want to buy a bunch of CDs only to record them on cassettes? (because good luck in finding a pc with still a CD burner).

do you want to bring with you a bunch of them while traveling or just walking around because we are so used now to listen to very diverse music for a very long time? (you'll literally have to walk with a bag pack half filled with those to have the same variety)

do you want to experience the the "joy" of finding the magnetic tape all twisted by the gears or the slowing down of the music while your battery dies?

do you want to be constantly careful on how you handle the player because as soon as it get its first damage it's just downhill from there? (buttons and the door will be the firsts to go).

do you really want to incentive another useless exploitation of not recyclable plastic?

if you don't want to stream just get mp3. they're still an option you know?

now, mp3 players I'm all for it, go nuts.

When I heard this song when it was trending, I knew I had to use it for some fish art!! I got a lot of footage at this pond, so I think when I’m done with this series, I’m gonna have to do a reel with no music- the birdsong is really peaceful :) for this video however my paper bag paper covering the camera was rather loud, so fish song it is!! Also for clarity, the little frog in the corner is not mine, I found it by searching “art” in the instagram stickers ^^

Beads are an interesting way to add a 3D to a design, it is glitzy and eye catching and will flow with the models walk, to me it almost going back to ancient Asian tradition with such detail added to each piece.
