satoru doesn't really have a favourite colour.

it's never quite crossed his mind. and even if it has, he has never seen it to be important enough to allow it be anything more than a passing thought, a meaningless thought---it is not like his life will be impeded should he not have a favourite colour, nor is anyone ever going to ask him what it is, so why bother?

but now, as you peer up at him expectantly, having already listed your top five favourite colours and why you love them so, satoru wishes he did bother back then.

he decides to feign confusion.

"what?"

"what what?" you shoot back, eager gaze not wavering one bit, "i just told you my favourite colours; aren't you gonna tell me yours? it's fine even if you have just one, sensei."

but is it fine if he has none?

throwing his watch a quick glance, he turns back to you. then exhales a quiet sigh, tired but the farthest from annoyed, when he sees you're still waiting for his reply... shutting the bus window beside, he turns to lean against it, shifting to face you properly.

and sighs, decidedly noisier this time, "this isn't the type of questions one asks their teacher, y'know? they are too casual, meant more for a friend than for a teacher."

"you got to be the last guy to lecture me about etiquette, sensei," you retort without missing a beat, huffing a quiet, amused laugh.

"and after the time i had to bring you to ieiri-san after you passed out from drinking a bit too much: i guess we're a bit more than a teacher and a student, aren't we, sensei?"

not really... no.

while satoru believes your first point to be a debatable topic, he does not think the two of you are anything but a teacher and a student, no matter how much help you extended to him or will in the future---it's not like he isn't grateful, though. he is; he really, really is---it's just his belief that few acts of kindness do not necessarily cause a friendship between people, and he intends to tell you this very clearly---

but finds he cannot. he simply cannot.

not when you say, still so eager but with an undercurrent so achingly soft that even the strongest wonders if he can handle its weight: "i'm not that bad a friend, y'know---you can ask others if you want; they'll tell you i'm a good friend, not the best but a decent one---"

"why don't you guess what's my favourite colour?"

rude, yes, horribly so. satoru knows, he knows this very, very well. but what can a man do but divert when he's being unsettled by words like the ones you addressed to him, by the tenor you employed for him---

although now that he observes you consider his suggestion, the man wonders if diversion was the right tactic or not.

he could have just lied and told you any random color. he could have chosen to be honest and told you he has no favourite colour like you and probably the rest of the world have.

but no, he doesn't.

satoru does not opt either of the above two painfully simple, painfully easy options. choosing instead to ask you to guess what his favourite colour is... satoru never really anticipates he'll end up being this much more unsettled, thanks to his decision of diversion:

if there was a subtext of a haunting softness in your manners before, the sorcerer reckons it is the text now, typed out in bold letters then underlined and highlighted in neon---you too shift to face him, even moving the bag kept in between to your lap and shifting a bit closer, but still a respectable distance away---only to punctuate your effort with a keen stare, much too gentle, at him.

it's scary, he thinks. yeah, undoubtedly scary. but somewhere in the back of his mind, something says it's also comforting.

many eyes look at satoru throughout the day. they gape, they gawk, they study the man and every small aspect of his person with many different kinds of reasons behind them. but before today, there has never been anyone who has regarded him with this much care, that too for a nonsensical cause like yours...

he wonders, just what are you seeing in him?

just who are you seeing in him?

"it's orange, isn't it?" you exclaim abruptly, leaning a touch forwards with a snap of your pointer and thumb. voice too loud. smile too big. eyes too bright, way too bright---

satoru takes not even one whole second to decide:

Below will have an info about these 2 AUs, so I'll be rambling bout it below. :)

Friends In Time

★ This AU is inspired by the Gravity Falls AU called Twins in Time. I love that AU and be like, "Hey what if Young Scratch and Adia got sent to the past but they ended up with eachother present self?"

★ This AU takes place after the 'All In The Mind' episode.

★ Scratch and Molly was messing around with the rare curses (Molly's idea) and Scratch accidentally messed it up, resulting for a portal to open up in the past and young Adia fall in it and she ended up in the present with Molly and Scratch. Past Scratch sort of witness how his friend just dissappear through a portal infront of him, another portal open up behind young Scratch and he falls in it. But instead of ending up with Molly and present Scratch, past Scratch ended up with present Adia. This left everyone confused. Especially present Adia.

★ Molly was kind of excited with the situation since she got to meet her ghost best friend old best friend. Though Scratch suggested for Molly to not reveal anything to Past Young Adia. (I mean hey, seeing your best friend kind of 'died' in the future isn't very nice to know.) I think they'll try to change Scratch name incase. He called himself Duke. They'll reveal about it later.

★ With Present Adia and Past Young Todd/Scratch, despite being confused, they both went on an adventure together while trying to get back to Brighton and find Past Young Adia.

★ Past Young Adia stick around until 'The End' episode. Present Adia with Past Young Todd/Scratch finally reach Brighton during The End too and they visit Todd's house, which also the same time Molly and Scratch and with Past Adia were there to see them.

★ The End would be a bit different than the original. Adia and Scratch finally have a talk before he goes back to his body. The Past selves are sent back to the past. And both Adia and Molly would try to help Scratch remember his time as a ghost before he and Adia went on their adventure together.

Post The End Swap

★ This is basically a personality swap between Scratch and Molly after 'The End'. Or a swap, literally. Thanks to Bill, one of the TGAMM creator for telling us what will Season 3 be like if Disney gave them a green light. This just gave me an idea on how this story would go.

★ In this AU, Scratch did not die. He is still alive and healthy and did not get into any hang-gliding incident.

★ But in this AU, Molly finally gave up her soul after experiencing the rough aftermath of how it gets harder to try to enhappify people, making Brighton better and losing people she love. (Patty becoming a ghost and Ollie moving away) She became lost and hopeless as years went on till high-school. Feeling less joy also made her wraith form change colour to pink like her eyes but a bit dull and a bit gold.

★ Idk how Scratch and Adia will meet Molly yet, but when they did Molly put a curse on them. The same curse that made Scratch got pull to Molly's side whenever she calls for him, but it's Molly who got dragged to Scratch's side when he said her name.

★ Molly had been a ghost for about a month or two. Ofc her family and friends are aware and tries to find Molly's ghost but unsuccessful. The Chens who now stay in another place after the move also being informed by the Mcgees about the situation too.

★ As for being a ghost for too long, Molly's memories started to become fuzzy and she had a hard time recalling them, slowly losing her memories and forgetting who she is. Though it's not as bad as Scratch, but she just had a hard time recalling. She forgot her name and only remember that it probably starts with a M. So Scratch just called her Moll and his reasoning is, "Idk, you just look like a Moll person." Which confused Molly, Adia and himself with it.

★ And yes, these two duo has no idea who the other are due to memory lost. Molly having a harder time to recognise Scratch since he is Todd now and alive instead of the ghost buddy she always remembers. (Same with Scratch as deep down he remember his friend being a human instead of a ghost, and the change of her wraith colour instead of gold is also less helping.) But the name sorta ring a bell for her a bit.

★ Together they tried to uncover Molly's memories as Molly follow Scratch and Adia through the adventure. Plus without them realising, they're also gonna uncover Scratch's memories too! Now it's The Ghost and and Todd/Scratch Mortenson, with Scratch being the optimistic one and Molly being EMolly or realistic and hopeless, or just season 1 Scratch but it's Molly, and Scratch is Molly but in Scratch own way, yk?

Welp these are the info I have about these 2 AUs for now. There are still more TGAMM AUs that I would love to share more in the future! Like there's ALOT in my notes. Wish I could make a fic for all of 'em. Anyways cya and have an enhappifying day/night!

Gahan art wip ask

@clawbehavior I had to repost this bcs tumblr flagged the gahan sex wip screenshots and the ask message is gone i'm sad, why tumblr whyyyy :')) - anyway, here you go! ------ glad you ask!! it's mostly just me trying to see how far my artskill goes right now so i'm challenging myself to draw illustrations from scene i see in my mind. - for the knight: i've always like medieval era settings and knights are cool especially with capes or cloaks on. i admit i love seeing the armor but it's such a complex and very difficult to grasp their 3D shapes in my head. i usually visualize how does an object / subject look and turn them around in my head as needed. now why gahan? apparently my brainrot keeps me going to get inspired and keep drawing lol. idk if i'm gonna make their face look exactly like gahan or just inspired from. i've talked about this with @gayautisticraccoon too where gahan meets as knights in another AU and they still end up together. they meet as enemy / rival then ended up worrying each other's wounds after fighting/war and then have a secret established relationship. along the way they'll secretly swore an oath to each other - "in this lifetime or new, may our souls be bound as one" here's the wip progress so far. i have to postpone it since i'm working on commissions right now. i struggled with the armor and the face bcs i want to make it look like gaon lol

- now the gahan sex : as we all know, i did promise posting 7 gahan sex post but it got postpone as well bcs i need to redirect my focus to finding commissions first so i can make ends meet. very often my mind keeps coming back to this wip as i want to indulge my own indulgence but i never let myself too bcs of priorities. but i've been trying to at least allow myself to insert some gahan now and then when i can just a bit, in whatever personal project i'm doing. hence the knights fighting i cannot post everything here bcs of censorship, the previous attempt got flagged, but here are some glimpses

He wants to be in a relationship but he doesn't want to leave his mate if they have cubs, His mom's mate left, Bianca's mate left. He doesn't want to leave his mate if he even gets one,

so he just tells people that's focusing on his job as captain whenever he gets asked about his love life

I'm all for using irl animal behaviours as inspiration and thats a very interesting perspective but its just not how I handle it in my au. Although I do enjoy ur take ok him being... very quiet about it and brushing it off.

The way I took this irl animal fact is that *culturally* alot of polar bear fathers leave to work for long periods of time. During their time home they have a long sort of ritual of bonding and care to show their partners how much they still care for and respect them even after being gone for some time.

Of course modern times do change that a bit but the polar bear courting rituals are still super important culturally. Irl polar bear courting is very fascinating btw! They go days to weeks where the male slowly gains the females trust after finding her(paw prints provide scent that says i am waiting), and hell slowly follow and be very gentle and get closer and closer based on her comfort.

During that period they'll cuddle, play, follow eachother, and the female will also "flirt" back. They're unusually very friendly and sweet. During this time neither hunt and instead they entirely focus on eachother. Males will fight off any other males interesting in gaining the females trust. They also wait for the females to allow mating as well.

Anyways back onto my octonauts misty memories au. Irl animal behaviours are sometimes one to one, but alot of social Behaviours like the one you described are just cultural inspirations for me.

sometimes those can be common cultural issues, but it doesn't mean its the norm. Just me rambling lol

Not to say I dont think those takes are cool, I find them very fascinating but its just not how my world building works. Cuz just like irl our environments shape us, but so do our choices and our emotional environments. There's no instinct forcing them to do things they emotionally don't want to do in my au. Sorry if I sound disrespectful btw I think those ideas are cool its just not my aus world building

My barnacles does have an.. issue as well regarding polar bear partners.

You see my barnacles is a bit more aro and a bit more ace, even if he doesn't really understand that. He spent alot of time just dedicating his life to the octonauts, but then Biancas kids started getting older and people started asking him questions.

And he started questioning himself as well. The thing is alot of polar bear culture is dying because of forced immigration south to places thats physically and economically harder for them to live in.(loss of traditional jobs, different skill sets, physically overheating,etc) not to mention there's just alot of mixed grizzly and polar bear families (grolar bears are real btw) and while its certainly NOT A BAD THING-

Those new generations will never know the arctic culture like he grew up with. Fewer and fewer polar bear cubs are being raised in the arctic, and so much of the culture can only be done *in* the arctic. So when you're a polar bear and you're not having any kids and raising them in thst culture... it raises a few eyebrows and creates a strange sense of guilt?

But again, hes certainly on the aro ace spectrum and he just... doesn't desire that kind of relationship...

so he just assures everyone and himself that well hes never really settling down while he's thr captain of thr octonauts, and to himself he says that he does more good this way anyways...

Regarding your thoughts on Franky being the Strawhat to die, do you think that could potentially lead to the "bad ending"? The one where Franky becomes a full robot before being made into a ship? Maybe someone (potentially Robin) finds what's left of him and tries to bring him back that way? Maybe he comes back wrong as a result? I figure in that state all that would be left is a brain, which was more than Franky ever wanted to lose.

oh my god my friend this is one of those like ideal messages that cracks my brain open and looks right at my inside thoughts. Yes. Yes. This line of thinking is what inspired me to even start obsessively writing franky fic in the first place. I'm so fascinated by The Line with him-- simulacra, ship of theseus type shit. It's the core of what makes him so interesting to me, and it's what makes Kuma such a cool thematic foil for him, too. I've like, fallen DEEP into the Bad Ship Timeline recently, even more so than where I started.

When I say I think he's going to be the Strawhat that dies, I guess I should add the caveat that I DO think they'll take the sort of cop out direction of like, dying and getting rebuilt. Especially with all the other robotics scientists on the field now. But a robot/pascifista type simulacra of Franky would be a hollow revival; he would still be v much dead unless they kept at least a part of him like his brain. The huge horror of Boat Timeline to me would be the process of him doing it to himself (which is the horror of Franky to even BEGIN WITH, right?).

The first fic I ever posted has been looooong deleted, but I wrote it essentially to have a conversation between his genetic clone and his pacifista, trying to square their relationship to each other and to the original person. I wasn't happy with the fic for a number of reasons, which is part of why I deleted it and reworked it. But then that was retooled into What Makes a Man which you are severely tempting me to return to (tho I will warn, this fic reeks of Early Writing. I've learned a LOT since i initially started it). I never finished the second and third acts, which were the whole crux of why I wanted to write the fic to begin with. It would be fun to keep going down this fic line. I LOVE a reanimation story, and I especially love a Came Back Wrong story (uhhhh spoiler for the direction I was planning on taking the fic in, i guess). And ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY when its a lovers come back wrong story OUGHHHH. idk, its strange that the Frankenstein angle isn't explored more in Franky stories?

At the same time, I'd love to figure out how to push the Boat Timeline angle. The other path I wish Oda had the balls to pursue would be a Dark Franky/mechanical possession/reprogramming sub plot, but idk if we have the time for that in Final Saga. But esp given recent teased twist, I'd love to see this happen. and i was hoping it would happen in egghead Like I LOVE the idea of him taking and taking and taking away from himself until he is like literally a brain in a jar left (and the way I write him, 37 isn't actually far from that state. I'm glad I got to touch on that even more in Handle With Care and Showoff). ALSO re: boat timeline, I think it would be very sweet if someone helped to build him that wasn't Robin? Obv I love the lovers angle. But there's so many direction it could go??? Usopp building him back, MADS building him back, Vegapunk building him, Iceburg building him back?? All of Galley-La and his family and Zambai helping turn him into a warship as a final act of love after "death"?? There's SO many ways it could go, it would be so fun to explore wow.

Introducing: The OtherWorld

The OtherWorld is a "DND-inspired roleplaying game" that I've been wanting to start with writeblr. Here are the basics of the game...

Title: The OtherWorld Genre: Horror Central Themes: mental illness, perception vs truth, the need for control vs how much we actually have, the fear of not having control

The basic rundown of the game is that there are people that are deemed "mentally ill" for various reasons (similar to the real world - hallucinations, talking to themselves, spouting "nonsense"), but it turns out that these people aren't as "crazy" as they may seem and instead, they have abilities people without mental illnesses don't have. They can see, hear things that they can't, etc.

So, one particular person (run by me) has been spouting lately about how the world is a story, written by these evil overlords and nothing is really what it seems.

Of course, many people write them off but they're so convincing, some actually believe.

Writers are the Big Bad in this story. I will be the actual Big Bad (because running game), but I will also let any player that wishes to be a character in the game also be one. I will give you the choice if you want me to write you or if you want to be your own character.

Of course, with one of the big themes being lack of control, writers will have a lot more control than the characters in the story.

So how is this inspired by DND?

Here's the gameplay that I envision.

I write a scene. Characters will take their turns deciding how they want to interact with the scene. I roll a die (or two), which will determine how successful the action is. If it ends up being too small a roll, then the character will do something else or will be evaded in their action.

NOW.

Each character will have their own "success roll number." This will be determined by a roll at the beginning of the game.

Since I'm doing the rolls, I'll let the players decide if they want me to announce the numbers that are rolled and what the roll needed for each character is or not. Full transparency is what I want. :)

Ummm, each writer will also have their own number but it'll be lower than the characters (or should be). I'll probably roll one die for the writers and two for the characters or something. Idk yet.

Anywho!

I'll probably give writers like a few days to a week to pick what their characters do (I'll tag the writer who's up to make sure they know they're up)... and if they don't reply within the time designated, they'll be auto skipped and it'll go to the next character.

I'll probably have 2 taglists. One is the players and one for anyone that just wants to read it. :]

I'll be running this game on this blog. I need more original writing content on here.

Oh! And when making your characters, you don't need to give them stats or anything but you do need to let me know if your character is a believer or a skeptic (do they believe what the mentally ill say or do they not).

your london yaps posts are so funny and entertaining to read, some authors on here barely post other than fics and updates so they seem like a professional author. but you create a welcoming environment, posting tmis, yapping about random subjects, even showing off your milf hunter winwin fit. it seems crazy to say but you show your human side and relatability, which makes following your account very fun.

even when you answer asks, you are also giving people platforms to speak their mind. i see your anons feel comfortable with sharing their thoughts. although you are a writing account, your account still seems to be open to mostly anyone. your responses are always insightful, and while you do have biases on certain subjects, they're not obvious and in your face.

you don't post for likes, which is why when you reach a milestone like 1000 notes, your gratitude is sincere. especially since you wrote a lovely long paragraph about how grateful you are. it just shows.

and the whole secure that card thing. i don't think i fully understand, but you were "inspired" by an author's smau and used elements of their smau to create your own? the author messaged you and you admitted your mistake and deleted it?

Can you give a noob visual storyteller pointers on how to get started with their own comics?

OMG THANK YOU!!! 😭 I'm totally normal about them. I also want to apologize for Tumblr being a bit of a mess in terms of following the comics. Highly recommend the Carrd for chronological links.

As for comics - I'm far from an expert but I do see myself getting better with each one I make so hopefully some of this will help. 🤞

Read a bunch of different types of graphic novels. Pick the ones you like the most and pay attention to how they do things. I personally like lots of dialogue and character development, dramatic lighting, and focusing on facial expressions. Others focus on the action or scenery. Some a mix of both (which I'm working towards). Just find inspiration in what you love and let it help you find your style. 😁 Looking into how comics are made and what the different speech bubbles mean/text decoration/etc was helpful.

Use Clip Studio Paint or a program like it. Basically you want something that will let you cut out comic frames and add dialogue boxes easily. It really streamlines the workflow.

Write out "scripts" before GPosing. I know some folks who can freestyle but for me scripts with minor stage direction and dialogue have helped a lot. I have a different numbered line for each GPose I need to take too.

Everyone does plot/characterization differently. IDK if you were curious about that but I personally focus my plot around 3 main storylines - WolfBahn relationship arc, Wolfram's voidsent problem/past trauma, and MSQ. These plotlines overlap A LOT and come to a head in Endwalker. A lot of folks focus on their OC (I of course do.) but its also nice to develop the NPCs in some way. Most of Raubahn's development comes from MSQ which makes that easy but I do take time to touch on some of the things MSQ doesn't cover heavily like his recovery after being rescued from Halatali or the toll fighting to liberate Ala Mhigo takes on him. So I guess I just think - stories are more engaging if you flesh out the NPCs a bit. That may be personal preference though...

Really know your characters. I've found answering WoLQoTDs helps a ton. Along those lines - a timeline of their major events. Mine includes Eorzean events like The Autumn War and Garlean invasion of Ala Mhigo so I can fit my character's story in with the greater world. Before starting the comics I had a summary of his story on his Carrd (it's down now though). I also made a family tree. Replaying cutscenes helps get me in the zone to write too. Knowing them really well makes the writing flow pretty effortlessly.

Spend the time to edit each screenshot. I didn't do enough of this starting out and regret it. Even just upping the sharpness makes a big difference. Highly reccomend hitting it with the dodge/burn if you have time. The images will be smaller than most gposes so zooming in or cropping closer can help show the fine details (another place CSP shines).

Make dialogue box text large enough so that the majority of users on mobile won't need to zoom in. What I've been doing is 50 in CSP.

This one I don't do - but I should. Have someone with good grammar who also actually enjoys your story go over your comic before you post it. Ideally over the script as well. They'll point out grammatical mistakes but also since they're fans they may have some cool character insights you hadn't thought of!

Don't be discouraged if you get less "likes" than you do for GPoses. I usually get way less. On the flip side I get more actual interaction with the comics. Nice convos. It's how I've met some of my best buddies! So it's a good trade-off IMO. Most important of all - it's FUN to tell stories!

💕 self-love time! talk about which ones of YOUR creations (edits, artworks, fanfics) you like the most then send to other creators to do the same 💕

:O Oh no! I'm being attacked! Hmm... Complicated! Most of my work actually hasn't been posted online and is still in the works so I don't necessarily have something to jazz hands at I feel like.

The PAM Initiative is on hiatus, but it's concept and the world building I've done for it is something I'm incredibly proud of and look forward to finishing one day. It's as close as I've gotten to original work outside of my dnd campaign and what its hoping to be is a scifi-esque political thriller that makes some commentary on real world issues I care about. (Which is why I haven't written it in a while, because those issues deserve a lot of care and attention and to be approached sensitively with research.)

Steelheart is still ongoing and is something I'm proud of not because I think it's the most interesting and best written thing I've ever made, but because it's pushing me to actually write which is hard to do!! I spent a lot of time dreaming of my worlds rather than actually breathing them into existence. There is so many problems with it and I'm barely through the first part of the beginning! That's a hard pill to swallow! But I love it for making me actually create and being that creative funnel.

This entire world is my most favorite creation because the characters are so rich and have so many aspects of my partner and I's life baked into them. They'll try not to take any of the credit since writing this world is "my baby" but it literally couldn't exist without them! They're the mind and heart behind Leo & Half Pint in particular, but they have shared custody of all my characters. It wouldn't be what it is without them.

Sunshine and by extension the character she was prior to amnesia (yes I'll be vaguing until we get to Two of a Kind even though its barely a surprise) is my babiest girl. My best worst girl. She's taught me self love and to be loud and proud and unapologetic about myself, all things I really really really struggle with. Is she the best one out of the bunch? I'd actually give that to Mae, but she's the one that has kept me hooked. The one I throw into all the other fandoms to see how she reacts to new stimuli. The one that means so much to me I want a tattoo inspired by her.

Bonus Round: No one read it because it's from HIGH SCHOOL but Unfortunate Roommates is my only completed work that's multi-chapter and I've always been proud of having something finished. It's from like, idk, six-seven years ago. Don't read it. I really did Kimball dirty in that fic, but it was the first time (and I think only time) someone made fanart of my fics????? And?????? For those reasons I have so much love in my heart for it.

I don't feel like I did this right but????? I dunno? Come yell at me again if it wasn't good enough self love haha <3

Im sorry to bother you but I saw your tags in this post: https://www.tumblr.com/lavenderleahy/767005666786279424 and had to say YES. You get it! I agree! I have thought this, but did not want to say it because I did not want it to be true. It is definitely slanted towards Buck does not feel as strongly as Tommy, based on 8x06 (and a reasonable reading in keeping with the rest of the text).

My take on this is that Tommy has been keeping a wall up. He’s the Hot Pilot, the cool aloof guy! And that’s great, they get along, but it’s hard to fall in love, truly in love, with a cardboard cutout. It makes sense that Tommy would want to protect himself, especially if he sees their unequal feelings. So the break-up isn’t out of nowhere and in fact this would be ideal and soooo ripe for meaty storytelling and discerning character work but—

I think the show is going to lean into that, and Buck is going to get over it (quickly? Idk) because he’ll be painted as never that invested (they might let us have a yet). And I have other problems with the writing, but also I t’s just not as interesting to see “oh yeah we dated and it was… fine. Cool dude.” It will be smothering a flickering ember. I hate it !!! They used 8x05 to make it hurt? Give us some follow through!

We are in total agreement. I hate to say it but I am not confident that Buck was as invested in the relationship as Tommy was, and I think there are signs that point to that! I feel like we as a bucktommy fandom got so caught up in defending tommy against the accusations of "lack of development" (both as a character and in the bucktommy relationship) that we didn't realize that maybe there was some lack of development on buck's side of the relationship.

While not telling us, I do think that 911 showed us that Tommy is no longer the hateful person he was when he started out at the 118. We can see this in his interactions with Hen and Chimney (in the "begins" episodes) and how Bobby approves of him in s7.

I also think the show made a point to demonstrate how much Tommy adored Buck. He thinks Buck is adorable and smoking hot, he looks at him adoringly, he visits him and other members of the 118 in the hospital, and he shows up for Buck when he needs him. Unfortunately we don't really see Buck prioritize Tommy in this way...? So I do think the haters were right to a point, the show did not develop the bucktommy relationship, at least on buck's side, very well.

My thoughts on this have very much been inspired/jumpstarted by mel's @kinardsevan post and follow-up. So definitely read those if you haven't yet!

I'm also exploring this idea in a fix-it fic (I'll put a little snippet below the cut). I would love Buck and Tommy to work (in canon would be nice! But especially in my brain where I play with them like dolls), but they have some hurdles to overcome. I have no idea where the show is going to take this, and i don't have high hopes (realistically? They'll probably drop it), but i am loving that no matter what we as a fandom get to make sure they end up back together.

Jang Yunho and his beautiful love relationship with fluffy hair: an (not so serious) essay~

Author's note: this post is biased. Very biased. Don't except some objective opinion here. I'll mention some other idols as examples here and there but ONLY as examples, please don't be mad if I'll mention them. Some of the analysis are inspired by Michaela Diana, a wonderful artist on Instagram who makes stylisation studies. Without her works probably the post would have never come out. Oh, uhm, I decided to not use fantaken photos for this analysis, only photos taken from Kingdom's official accounts or the concept photos. I don't know you but I would've feel like a thief if I used them.

Hi everyone, today I'm finally talking about one of my favourite haircut/looks ever made: the perm hair, also known as "The Floof" from me. And we're not talking about The Floof in general, no, no, today I'll try to demonstrate how this kind of haircut has a beautiful love relationship with Jang Yunho aka Arthur from Kingdom.

Look at him. He's cute right? And you want to touch his hair so badly, right? Good, because that's how The Floof is supposed to work (for me). You really want to rub those hair and making even more curls by doing it.

You get it, I love this haircut sooo much. BUT, even if I have a bias towards this haircut, it doesn't mean that it's suitable to everyone. I think everyone agree on this, the perfect haircut is the haircut which fits our face shape perfectly.

And Arthur has what it's the perfect face shape for The Floof and the curls and I'll explain you why.

Another random pic because you need to admire him with the curls, I know you want to love his pretty face with this haircut in particular, I know it.

Now, I could easily use as an argument the fact that he resembles a squirrel and end the post. Because, well, according to my bias list, every time one of my biases has the squirrel or the hamster as his animal, there's an high percentage that they'll look cool or beautiful with the curls or the fluffy hair.

But no, that would be too much simple, we need to go more deeper than this.

What if I tell you that Arthur has what I call The Floof face? :3

According to my own personal theory, The Floof works perfectly if you have some features that shines the most thanks to this haircut in particular. I'll show you a couple of examples by showing you two other artists who shine a lot when they have curly hair/perm hair/The Floof.

My dear readers, I present to you...

Every time I need to push my The Floof agenda Han Jisung from Stray Kids and CyA from Onewe are the first ones who comes into my mind. I mean look at them, they're perfect.

And you wonder why? Well, if you zoom on these photo in particular you'll notice how both Han and CyA have a soft face shape in general (no sharp jawline as you can see). They have full cheeks, which become even more full when they stuff their mouth with food (Han in particular when he eats a lot becomes an adorable squirrel with his full cheeks). Their face shape is oval/heart shaped, which is the best shape for The Floof, even tho I must say that there are some exceptions (Taehyun from TxT has a rectangular shape foremost but he looks beautiful with curly hair for example). The eyes' shape also play a major role for The Floof. If you noticed, CyA has round eyes while Han has monolid eyes which are the best shape for this kind of haircut (the upturned eyes work too).

Ok, enough with the explanation LET'S CHECK ARTHUR NOW.

Mmmh, let's see...

Soft face shape? Yup, the jawline isn't so sharp.

Full cheeks? Yes, there are.

Oval/Heart shaped shape? Idk you, but I can see an oval shape here.

Monolid/Round eyes? Yup, the eyes are monolid for sure.

Conclusion: Arthur has the perfect face shape for The Floof, let's celebrate everyone!

But wait, do you think I'll end everything like this? Oh no, no, we can't end the post like this, we need to see which kind of colour and haircut is suitable for Arthur :D

Let's start with the era where he shines the most and he had the first Floof: the Excalibur Era.

Ok so, even tho I love him with this kind of long hair in my opinion the hairstyler should have cut the bangs a little. Not too much, just a little. I know that this haircut suited him, especially if we talk about the MV's storyline but...well, maybe with shorter bangs he would have look beautiful. I don't like seeing his eyes covered by the bangs but it's my pet peeve, probably other people likes it regardless.

BUUUT when he has short hair...oh boy, I get blessing everytime when he has curls and his hair are short like, just see him here 🥴

i do have some ocs! ive been working on them on and off since high school and i still dont have an overarching story or anything for them but i'll go over the basics if anyone's interested o.o

the basic premise is a group of friends who start a band called good question, but ive always considered the main couple of this universe to be renee and pj (who i just renamed a minute ago dont worry abt it) even tho they aren't really in the band. the band is made up of alysha on lead guitar and vocals, juan on drums, and anis on bass, with meg as a roadie and sati as their social media manager (and also regular manager). calypso is the newest addition to the group, they're the youngest and im not entirely sure how they'll fit in but i think they're just gonna be a younger college student or something. ive sketched and drawn everyone in the group, some more than others, but i'm still really working on their designs and physical & personality traits and backgrounds and all that. i know that pj likes anime and sati & anis are exes and alysha is an amputee and renee is jewish and all kinds of stuff but i haven't really fleshed them out as much as i want to eventually. lmk if ur interested in hearing more abt them bc it would definitely encourage me to work on them more hehe

i dont really remember what my first internet media was, but i feel like it mostly started with youtube and stuff like charlie the unicorn. my first fandoms were book series, the hunger games and hp and the mortal instruments and all that, and im absolutely not into most of it anymore except the hunger games i still think they're brilliant

i'm definitely proud of some of the stuff ive made! i havent been working on my skills as much lately but my gf has been inspiring me bc i love drawing her body <33 so other than those drawings of her in my top posts rn and that taz comic i did a while ago i like these too

1) Peaches Ain't Pretty - Gen, Harley Keener-centric - 17k

Harley Keener and his sister Abbie have never had an easy life, but they've always had each other and that's enough. They'll make it be enough.

my beloved ❤ tbh I surprised the hell out of myself with this one. First of all, I was inspired to write it by Devil Town by Cavetown (specifically the version linked--the kid's got like 4 versions now lol). I actually had the idea for this when I first heard the song wwaaaaayyyyy back when I was posting Don't Freak Out in 2020 and working on the sequel, but at that time I was SO overwhelmed (with covid and posting fic for the first time in nearly 2 years, and writing that freaking sequel (haha see what i did?), and covid) so I just ignored the plot bunny and forgot about it. Fast forward to a year later, I started listening to the song again and the idea came back to me and I was like, okay okay I don't have anything better to do rn, I'll just jot down some ideas... Then like 3 days later I had a completed fic lol

BUT before I started, I knew I wanted it to have a certain tone (serious and at times heavy, but not depressing--i wanted those spots of light) and I wanted it to follow the Keeners from childhood to their coming of age into adulthood. Honestly I didn't know if I could pull that off. Writing from a child's perspective is hard. Writing an accent I don't have without making it obnoxious is hard. I'm so stinkin' happy with it though! It turned out as perfect as I could have asked for. It still blows me away when i reread it. Like woah I made that.

When I started writing it I was iffy about working towards a parkner ending bc I really wanted it to be only about the Keeners but I'm weak so that's where it ended up lol And now I'm posting the parkner sequel! Check out A Peach Like You (which technically I wrote in 2021 even though I'm only just now posting it, so it counts)

2) The Distance Between (You and Me) - parkner - 29k

When Pepper offered to begin training him to become CEO of Stark Industries, she warned Harley it would put a target on his back. He didn't take her seriously until after he'd been left chained and shivering in a dark hole for three days.

Rescued but with his kidnappers still at large, Tony recruits a bodyguard to shadow his every step and keep him safe until Tasha can hunt down his kidnappers. Harley isn't impressed. If he wasn't already at his wit's end muscling through nightmares, dissociative episodes, and pretending like he's handling everything like a champ then maybe he'd be able to figure out what exactly makes Peter Parker so special.

Ah the bodyguard AU. This one was so hard to write. Not bc of the fic, but bc of my head space. Real life took a nose dive and let's just say I had a pretty shitty time starting in May last year and it didn't really let up until, uh, November?? Writing felt impossible. I had all these big awful feelings and I couldn't set them aside in order to write. I've never been a vent writer and quite frankly idk how to be honest enough with myself to do that on purpose...

All that to say, it took A LOT to get this one down. Major thank you to everyone--@michellejones-stacy I'm looking at you in particular ily ❤--who cheered me on and shared their enthusiasm with me. It literally wouldn't have happened if I didn't know you guys were looking forward to it. Some days the only reason I pushed myself to write was bc of you so 🙌🎉✨🥰😭 thank you

But then when I finished it, it felt hollow, like I'd gone through the steps of writing but there was no soul in it. I didn't believe the feedback I got telling me it was good. It took until like... last month? When I finally read it fresh that I realized actually yeah, everyone was right and it is good! So I'm super proud of myself that this fic exists at all, but also I'm proud of how it turned out despite my challenges while writing it.

3) The Human Kind - parkner - 3.7k

“Your game of tag made the news again,” Miles says with a frown. “I don’t get why you won’t talk to him.”

“It’s more like hide-and-seek,” he says, not bothering to address the second statement as he pulls off his mask. They’ve been through that song and dance enough times they both know it by heart and it’s lost its spark.

“That’s not how it looks on TV. Looks like a lot of chasing and not a lot of counting.”

“Yet it always ends with me hiding and him giving up on seeking so—,” He waves his hand in a ‘there you have it’ fashion then hits the spider symbol on his suit.

This one. This one I tried to write angst lol and I hurt myself! So mission accomplished? I re-read this one recently and I'm really happy with it. It starts out light and there are questions laid out that you don't get immediate answers too, but you don't really worry about it bc it's Peter and he's quipping and making jokes and it's fun, right? Then it gets serious and that's when my feelings get hurt.

4) No Need to Rush - parkner - 5.3k

5 times Peter almost says I Love You (but Harley does instead) + 1 time they both say it

(Yes, it's a needlessly complicated take on this trope but it's my needlessly complicated take on this trope)

There's a comment on this fic that essentially calls this the perfect spiderlad fic and that's what pops into my head every time I think of it lmao it makes me realize that this is p much the only fic where I wrote established Iron Lad rather than the beginnings of Harley becoming Iron Lad. I adore this fic in it's own right, but that comment + this fic makes me really really really want to go all out with a spiderlad fic. Harley and Peter fighting side-by-side, the quips and banter, the hurt/comfort, the intrinsic understanding between them that no one else can touch because only they know exactly what they're facing day-in and day-out, partners in every sense of the word--I just *wistful sigh* I'm gonna write one for real, a full-sized fic, and that's that on that.

5) Undercover? I thought you said undercovers... - parkner - 3.7k

Peter and Harley are undercover at a black-tie event and get into a sticky situation

This one is pure fun. I had a blast writing it and I adored all of the squeeing comments I got for it and I get a good laugh out of it every time I re-read it. It's the embodiment of bickering as a love language.

5. how many wips do you have? how many fandoms/pairings are they for? depending on what you count as a "wip", i'd say somewhere btwn 30-40ish? all 5sos pairings have more than one wip, and i've got a couple hp wips (and one doctor who drabble, but that's finished so it doesn't count)

11. do you write scenes in order or do you jump around? i usually start from what i think is the beginning at the time and then start jumping around when i either run into a wall or am inspired by something that will happen later!

12. do you outline your fics? if yes, how detailed are your outlines? how far do you stray from them? it depends! most fics i start have a general idea of how they'll go, but they rarely get an outline (unless you count one sentence in a notes app as an outline, but i don't) as for proper outlines, i have three aus (my big superhero au, we gotta make a decision's parent au, and my crazy scifi au) that have "proper" outlines, which range from extremely vague to very specific. i have yet to stray too far from any of them, but i'm also not super far along so we'll see! (my 4th of july au and my baby blue au also have docs that are vaguely outline shaped, but i'm not counting them for multiple reasons, chief among them being that they may never be written)

35. what's your favorite fic you've posted? ohhh gosh. i really do love what if i'm weak (and i need you tonight?) i think it's one of my strongest writing-wise, i love the characters, it's my 2nd most popular fic,,, yeah idk i just think it's nice :))

43. is there a trope or idea you'd really like to write but haven't yet? lots! there are so many that are in wip-land, but one that hasn't even gotten a doc yet is a longer fic that's both a quarantine au and a slowburn and a fic that centers around the character's ace-ness. i've been thinking about it for a while now and i think it's something i need to sit on for a few months/years before i start it, but hopefully someday it'll be written :))

54. what's the fandom/pairing distribution of your posted fics? it's very sad :(( i've got 3 malum, 2 lashton, 1 mashton, 1 cake, 1 malum friendship fic, and no muke or cashton :(((( i can't wait to release more stuff with other pairings i don't like how unbalanced it is :((

72. what's your favorite writing compliment you've gotten? today in my creative writing class i got a very nice compliment from a classmate that made me very soft(tm). he said something like "we've talked about how great your ideas and concepts are in your story and that's true, but the real strength is the characters, who are so real and strong that they help me believe everything about this world you're building". and i just. :') i mean any compliment on my writing makes me melt but i think characters are the most important part of a story and for him to say that??? i did not propose but it was a close thing ksdjflkdsjfljsd

(i hate describing how characters look lol it's the bane of my existence) i like the community feeling! i love how people can just comment on what they liked best and know that i'll read it! i like that so many different kinds of writing can fit under this one umbrella! i just love it!!
