Since he’s probably Oswald’s closest Marvel equivalent, being a relatively-unpowered crime-boss who semi-frequently becomes Mayor… any thoughts on Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime?
It's a comparison that's frequently made by Big Two fans and it's easy to see where it comes from, certainly they're the most iconic gangster/mafioso villains in their respective companies, but I don't think Kingpin is the closest Marvel has to Oswald because A: If anyone has a prior claim on Comic Book Gangster, it's definitely him, and B: They simply don't work in comparable or equivalent fashion. You can even boil down a key difference to the fact that The Penguin is inherently a small man trying to be bigger, and The Kingpin is the biggest man who ever lived. That's not a joke about their sizes, that's how they operate as characters and villains: Oswald is underestimated, ridiculed, diminished, and driven in large part because of it. He is the underdog, he slips under the radar, he slips through the cracks, he is a cockroach who lives to thumb his nose and pull the rug under the bigger bastards who think they can step on him. Wilson Fisk IS the bigger bastard who steps on people, he is the biggest bastard in the world.
He is an unsurmountable force of crime at the top of every possible advantage that a criminal can possibly weaponize, he is a titan of wealth and privilege as willing and capable of crushing your skull with his bare hands as he is of murdering your entire social circle with a phone call. He is "the ill intent", the biggest and strongest gangster of all time, and even if there are bigger and stronger bastards than him, they certainly aren't gangsters like him, they certainly aren't meeting him in his playing field of choice. There isn't really a DC equivalent to Wilson Fisk - there were certainly attempts to make Luthor and Cobblepot more like him, there's no shortage of imitators or knock-offs like Blockbuster and Tobias Whale, but the Kingpin is a league of it's own among comic book gangsters. Like Luthor and Joker and Doom, like the top dogs of the genre, he's become an Archetype in his own right.
I talked about his Spiderverse version a little while back in regards to how much I liked him in that movie and what his design represented about him, Fisk as this black hole obelisk who drains the color of every room he's in and suffocates the world visually as well as metaphorically, far from the most interesting character in the movie but one that you can pin all these other more interesting things on, and I think that's also applicable to a lot of what he does as a Spider-Man villain. Now, he's a GREAT Spider-Man villain, easily one of the best, his arcs in Ultimate Spider-Man alone should be more than enough proof of concept for that, but even if he's not necessarily the most colorful or intimate or dangerous villain to hang a Spider-Man story on, he is maybe the most villain to hang a story on - the entirety of Marvel's street level vigilantes and organized crime exists under his shadow, and you can blow up his scope to the moon and back as a way to build up all the other characters you can squeeze more dramatic stuff out of. Whether it's in TAS, where he is so undisputably atop the pecking order that everyone else is bouncing off his fixed presence, or in the Insomniac games, where he stood tall as Peter's main villain for 7 years until the game begins with his downfall as a way to kick off all the strange new threats he'll be up against, Wilson Fisk is The Crime Man to rule all Crime Men, as entrenched and emblematic and secure in his kingdom of Manhattan as Dracula is to Transylvania and Dr.Doom is to Latveria.
Unlike the vast majority of Spider-Man villains who regularly enjoy redesigns and rewrites and do-overs, official and fan-made alike, Wilson Fisk is practically the same character in every iteration, there's very little need to seriously rethink or readjust who he is and how he does things because he is perfectly simple and perfectly timeless - we have now two Ultimate Spider-Man comic runs that have brought significant overhauls and revisions and new spins to established Spider-Man characters, and in both of them, Wilson Fisk is a major character, and he is completely and utterly unchanged from how he already works in the mainline universe. Even if you don't want to use Wilson Fisk, you can't neglect Wilson Fisk, you have to show how he fits into things, you have to show what he's up to or how he allows or makes way for what's happening without him, you have to give him his cut. This imutability of his is another thing I'd say is a major difference between him and Penguin - Oswald demands change, he demands growth and adaptability, he demands different surroundings more suited to him, he wants to grow and grow and make a nest that's suitable for him, he can't fit into existing systems so he breaks them to remake them as his own. That is simply not the case with Wilson Fisk.
Unlike The Penguin, unlike some of the other great comic book supervillains, Fisk has no intention whatsoever to change anything about how the world works - as far as he's concerned, it worked just fine up until these costumed irritants arrived, and even they just became another part of his conglomerate in time. Fisk really doesn't have or need any kind of big philosophy to justify himself, rather, he takes it as fact that he's operating under the way the world works and under a merit he's achieved by being the man he is. He is content within society's morality, because he is at the top of society and therefore that morality will always bow to him. The legions of costumed enemies orbiting his life are merely dissidents going against the order of things that places him at the top, tools to be used and bugs to be squashed and little more.
And this is true even of those whose power and scope stands above his own - they are not players in his game, and if they are, they are distractions, diversions, things that he can deal with. When he loses to billionaires like the Stromms in Zdarsky's run, when he has to playy ball with bigger villains, when he is ousted in a power play, it is humiliating, and he doesn't deal well with humiliations - but he can take humiliations, he knows he can give back, he can ultimately rebuild his pride as he rebuilds his empire time and time again. Spider-Man is annoying and powerful and infantile and annoying and an enemy and really really annoying, but he is no existential threat. He is not terribly concerned about Spider-Man, which is part of what makes him such a fun Spider-Man villain, that he never sees it coming when Spidey gets serious and just brings him down (peak example of this being Back in Black), that he is this larger-than-life bully/shitty grown-up who actually can and must be defeated. And if a lot of what makes him a fun and great Spider-Man villain is contingent in the ways that he doesn't lose sleep over Spider-Man, part of what makes him a stronger Daredevil villain is the precise opposite: he desperately wishes he could be this dismissive towards Daredevil, who is for all intents and purposes weaker than Spider-Man. It's his relationship with Daredevil that brings out the best of him as a villain and the worst of him as a person alike.
Against Spider-Man, the Kingpin is a very strong enemy, the figurehead of the kind of crime that is Spidey's daily routine, a powerful and oppressive force ruling over NYC who is nevertheless a step down from the Green Goblin or Dr Octopus or the Symbiotes and all those other genetic nightmares and obsessed masterminds that plague his life. No matter how clever or vile his schemes are, Spider-Man can still beat them, and Spider-Man can ultimately always triumph over him in a fight, and Fisk can always rebuild because Fisk builds empires as easily as most people breathe, and things rarely if ever get personal between him and Peter. Against Daredevil? There IS no bigger threat than Kingpin (well, The Hand I guess, but they're boring as shit), Kingpin is the mountain that Matt always crashes against in due time, and it is always personal. The Kingpin is his biggest and strongest enemy, able to run mental laps around Matt and someone that Matt cannot in fact beat in a fight, their battles are drawn out miserable slugfests where Fisk usually thrashes him around like a ragdoll with few conclusive victories and whatever victory Matt has is hard-won and usually via cheap shot.
Matt has an infinitely harder time dealing with Fisk than Spider-Man does, which is part of why it is Kingpin's appearences in Daredevil comics that made him comic book villain royalty: Matt has no real advantage against him other than his senses. He has no intellectual advantage, no physical advantage, and he can't even claim to be more determined or driven, Fisk is fueled by an equally horrendously powerful will and protectiveness towards what belongs to him, This City. There is nobody and nothing in the world that Matt hates more than Fisk, and there is nobody and nothing in the world that Fisk hates more than Matt. They've taken turns shattering each other to the point that those slugfests are the least of each other's offenses against each other.
Even besides the sheer accumulated history they have against each other, it's in the way they unforgivably violate each other's vision of the world. If the Kingpin was the invincible man of vision who loves the city and must steer it even if smaller people disagree with him, if he was truly so secure and untouchable at the top of the world, he wouldn't be having such a colossal hard time dealing with this one guy and he wouldn't be reduced to a base animal thug every time he shows up, let alone lose and be humiliated. If Wilson Fisk was as correct as he needs to be, if the strength of his love for Vanessa/the city/what belongs to him was as powerful as he wants it to be, Daredevil would never get the upperhand on him.
And if Daredevil is a man who dedicates himself 100% all the time to protecting the city and it's people, if Daredevil commits unlawful deeds to preserve human life and fight for justice, if Daredevil struggles with the innate contradictions and hypocrisies and nature of what he is and does but can nevertheless push past them all to do the right thing for others, every second the Kingpin lives, every second Fisk lives because he lets him, chips away at the assurance that he's doing the right thing, that he isn't just wasting time. If Daredevil's vision of the city was correct, if Daredevil was right about his beliefs and worldview, there wouldn't be a Wilson Fisk out there getting away with the things he does. They hate each other for that same fundamental reason: If the world was ruled by the principles I need it to be, in order for me to be who I am and do what I do, you wouldn't exist, and you wouldn't be in my way again and again.
As a Spider-Man villain, he is one of the greats, a core component of his world, a highly versatile and even necessary figure to have and an excellent villain to dictate proceedings. As a Marvel Universe villain, he is an indispensable facet of any criminal element, the Mt.Fuji that the streets of Marvel rest upon, someone who can be added to any storyline and be grafted into many characters to oppose or assist them, or even create and kill them. As a Daredevil villain, he is undeniable as one of the top supervillains, bordering on main character a lot of the time. An implacable unstoppable force of nature as well as a villain of history and brutality and drama and a character who brings intrigue and tragedy and even complexity, even as it all ultimately comes down to that raw hatred between them, the splinter in each other's eye, an infection in their world that just keeps taking and taking and taking without stopping.
It is an unforgivable offense to Wilson Fisk that there is a man out there so beneath him that he cannot break, cannot bend, cannot stop, and who makes such a mockery of everything he's built himself to be by existing, just as it is unforgivably offensive to Matt Murdock that there is a man out there named Wilson Fisk who thinks he has the right to be who he is, and do what he does. To be a man who not only cannot care about human life in any capacity other than what he thinks belongs to him, but whose continued existence attests to a world that validates him, that doesn't care about those lives either, where there is no accountability and no justice and no salvation that cannot be bought and sold. Fisk isn't just an embodiment of cruel, bottomless indifference, he stands for a world that agrees with him.
It would take too much work to defeat him, he just walks unscathed if you do, and even if you defeat him there will just be someone else to step in temporarily. And so it is with a heavy heart that the people of New York accept that the blood of countless runs through the streets, so long as the big man gets to give them their cookie at the end of the day for their hard work and agreeability. He is too big, too clever, too strong, and too invincible - and that's why Peter needs to stop him, that'd why Matt can never stop trying, that's why they can never let him be, otherwise Marvel New York would just be regular New York.
They'd have to accept a world where Wilson Fisk gets away with everything, and who could live with that?

OVERVIEW
Ref: TheRadBrad - Marvel's Spider-Man Start Menu (PS5,PC)
Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered is a remastered version from one of the best PS4 exclusive superhero games that was released back on 2018. The remastered version developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel, and optimized for PC by Nixxes Software, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC introduces an experienced Peter Parker who’s fighting big crime and iconic villains in Marvel’s New York. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of Marvel’s New York rests upon his shoulders.
Ref: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817070/Marvels_SpiderMan_Remastered/
PROTAGONIST
The game follows Peter parker A.K.A Spider-Man who has been the friendly neighborhood superhero for eight years. He is now an experienced superhero balancing his personal life and duties as Spider-Man. The plot of the game revolves around Peter Parker's battles with various villains, such as Kingpin, Mister Negative, Shocker and many more. The game narrative is emotionally charged, focusing on Peter's relationships, and his struggles with his responsibilities, and the constant burden of being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Web-Swinging Through the Skies of New York City
Ref: TheRadBrad - Marvel's Spider-Man Start Menu (PS5,PC)
One of the best features of the game is the web-swinging mechanics. Insomniac Games nailed the feeling of soaring through New York city as Spider-Man. With each we swing, you can feel the speed, momentum, freedom, and strength of Spider-Man has. Whether you're on a mission or simply roaming the open world of Manhattan, web-swinging will always be one of the things to enjoy.
The game also adds parkour and wall-crawling mechanics that feel seamless, making navigation more dynamic. And when you get tired of swinging? There’s always the option to use fast travel, which even includes fun cutscenes of Spider-Man taking the subway.
Spider-Man Suits!
Ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZMH90R2OMk
One of the most best aspects of the game is the wide variety of Spider-Man suits you can unlock. Each suit has it's own power and abilities and it looks cool. Whether you’re wearing the Sam Raimi Spider-Man suit from the classic movie Spider-Man from 2002, the classic Spider-Man suit, or the slick Spider Armor, there’s always a suit that feels right for the moment. Plus, the suit mods and skill trees let you customize Spider-Man’s abilities to match your playstyle.

What are your favorite outfits for Ratchet from the games?
Good question!
As far as the armors go, I usually never actually use them in the majority of the games I play (unless they're forced onto me, like Deadlocked's or 2016's). But I do have my favorites.
Holoflux
Shocking probably no one, Holoflux is the best. People often say it's their favorite, and that's for good reason— it looks incredibly good on Ratchet. I definitely don't enjoy drawing this armor that much, but I still will do it from time to time because I like it that much, and Ratchet gets pretty privilege.
It's also cool that this armor matches Azimuth pretty well, and I like that it has the "powered down" version in cutscenes. It makes the finale hit that much harder. This is the only armor where I know it's my favorite. The others are in no particular order.
Quest
Quest for Booty's armor was always rather charming to me, but it got even better once I recognized it had the Apogee insignia on the belt. I am a Talwyn and Ratchet stan at heart, so this pulled this armor above some others just because of that detail. But putting that aside, it also really fits the game it's in and makes Ratchet look like an explorer. He matches Talwyn quite nicely, too, which fits since she's his companion in this game.
Rebel
Oh my god this armor stole my HEART for so long. I am begging Insomniac to give us more casual fits in the next entry because this armor spoiled me so much. I love the graffiti Clank on the left hand, I love the little jacket, I love how the full gear doesn't cover his face... it's just adorable. Such a good fit that suits Ratchet so much and it's definitely my favorite new armor in Rift Apart.
Infernox
As far as armors that cover Ratchet's face go, Infernox was always one of my favorites as a kid. Something about its color palette and overall "flame" vibe just screamed early-Ratchet to me. I really like this one, and I definitely prefer it over the more popular Carbonox armor. Then again, I'm also a sucker for Up Your Arsenal. :P
2002
Not an armor but an absolute classic look. Of all the ones here, it's my favorite to draw since it lets me draw more of Ratchet's fur. It broke my heart to know that IG really wanted to put it in to Rift Apart, but was unable to find a way. I hope they try to do it for the next game, but I'll understand even if they can't. It's just one of the best looks for Ratchet. So iconic.
Marauder
Listen. This armor is really cool looking, and I like it, and I especially like that Deadlocked lets me take off the helmet too... but boy, this bitch is painful to draw. Simplifying it almost feels heinous to do, since it's just so cool looking but GAH!!!! If you ever wonder why I never update the Deadlocked Together AU, it's because of this!!! This painful armor!!!!!!
That aside, this armor fits the tone of the game so well. It's edgy, it's brooding, it's dark. I love it. The only thing I don't like is the fact they hide his tail :(
Tuxedo
Despite always playing Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal exclusively without armor when I play, you would never be able to tell because I love wearing the tuxedo Ratchet skins. Somethin about formal Ratchet makes me have heart eyes. Very kissable.
Robot Pirate
While I obviously prefer rebel, this was one of the only other armors in Rift Apart that I found myself using for Ratchet. The scarf really looks good on him, and I'm very fond of the chest plate. If it weren't for Quest armor's inclusion, I would always wear this armor when going to Ardolis.
Comics
Last but not least (because tumblr says I should stop adding images)... the comic outfits. Once again, the casual Ratchet outfits are always going to score higher for me. I loveeeee seeing my boy look more casual. And while the left image looks a lot like his normal outfit, I prefer it more for keeping it loose. That, and something about that blue chest piece never sat right with me. In a perfect world, I think it would have stayed green to keep his earthy tones in tact even after Tools of Destruction.
And the overalls are just. Mwah. Chef's kiss. What a dork. He's so cute. I love him.
Thanks for the ask!

My PlayStation all stars 2 dream roster
Before I begin. I just want to address a few things.
1. Crash and Spyro will be apart of this roster. I imagine Sony would work out of a deal with Microsoft (let crash and Spyro be in they crossover games and bungie (who Sony will still own) can make halo games for them again) because how iconic they are to PlayStation.
2. I think Sony could use this as starting point for a shared gaming multiverse (think dc or marvel). Plus this give some closer to story that will never get continued. So yeah this game is canon to each franchise in this game
3. Similar to sonic heroes, their is multiple team stories with each story being characters for who debuted in each of different eras of PlayStation and a third party story for characters that debuts on other consoles. each era’s would have a villain that debut in that generation. The plot will revolves around a society in the center of the multiverse who creates, watch and help save these PlayStation worlds. But a team up of villains are working together to collect polygon man prices for ultimate power! So this society gathers four heroes of each console generation to deal with this threat. Each team gather more characters from their eras and fight their era villains at the story end. The final story have each team worked together to defeat a resurrect polygon man and his army.
4. Every characters from the first game is returned.
5. each character have eight alternate outfits from they games (if their not enough Palette swap is them)
6. Each character have custom supers moves
Anyway on to the roster
Returning characters
Kratos from god of war (base on his Norse mythology version this time. So levaiathan axe, blades of chaos (because him not have them ruin one of best scenes in the series) and draupnir spear)
Ratchet and clank from ratchet and clank (each weapon in their moveset is updated to there rift apart versions)
Jak and daxter from jak and daxter (yes the mar plot line will be resolved. Level 1 supers reference stuff from jak 1, level 2 supers reference stuff from jak 2 and level 3 supers reference stuff from jak 3)
Sly cooper from sly cooper (considered this hypothetical game would be canon to all series feature in this. It pretty obvious this game would have sly get back to the future! Just case we never get sly cooper 5.)
Paparapa from paparapa the rapper (paparapa will look more closely to his series this time)
Spike from ape escape
Nathan drake from uncharted (the grapple hook replace zip line (grapple hook attach itself to a platform, allowing drake to follow it up with swing kick or a diving punch), each of Nathan weapons are updated to their a thief end version, Nathan custom level 3 are references to supernatural shit in the first three games.)
Cole McGrath from infamous (good Cole and evil Cole won’t take damage from election attacks)
Evil Cole mcgrath from infamous (use the powers of the beast in his moveset. Also the villain of ps3 era story and final boss of that story)
Sack boy from little big planet (now include moves from little big planet 3 and sackboy big adventure)
Fat princess from fat princess (i seriously hope Sony doesn’t changes her name in a squeal. Because modern politics correct)
Sweet tooth from twisted metal (if you remember that canceled twisted metal game that took place in an apocalypse. His design is taken from that scarp project. In other words, sweet tooth home is now paradise!)
Sir Daniel fortesque from medievil (updated to look like his medievil remake design)
Radec from killzone (resurrect as a cyborg after lowtiregod himself)
Toro from Japan aka PlayStation Japan mascot (keep his outfits gimmick. But each outfit attacks represents insomniac, naughty dog or sucker punch games. Insomniac outfit is ratchet, naughty dog outfit is jak and sucker punch outfit is sly)
Nariko from heavenly sword
Heihachi Mishima from tekken (most likely won’t speak because of Japan respect for dead voice actors. So just say he can’t talk because of his resurrection. Edit: somehow heihachi returns. I wrote this (I been working on this for a long time) before the announcement of him returning in tekken 8. I actually thought Namco would keep him dead after tekken 7. because hired a old man voice actor for him, had the same life expectancy of concord)
Big daddy from bioshock (yes he comes with a rapture stage. Like psasbr should have done!)
Dante from devil may cry (the original Dante. His moveset is now updated to include weapons and attacks from dmc1, dmc3, dmc4 and dmc5. Not including dmc2 do to that game being bad from what I hear)
Raiden from metal gear (moveset is now updated to include more attacks from rising, the game amazing bosses songs are available to play on stages, raiden can trigger unique codec calls for each player characters (like snake in brawl) on the metal gear stage. This game would also explain why raiden a cyborg again. despite mgs4 having him turn back to normal at the end)
Kat from gravity rush
Emmett graves from Star hawk
Issac Clarke from dead space (moveset is update to the dead space remake)
Zeus from god of war (the blade of Olympus and the gauntlet of Zeus is used in his moveset now. Zeus can also summon some other Greek gods for custom supers)
Newcomings
Ps1 era
Crash bandicoot from crash bandicoot (I want to make crash a surprise. So he wouldn’t be reveal till the game launch. Imagine this. You just got PlayStation all stars 2 on launch day. You start story mode and notice the ps1 era story is the only available one. So you select it and the first cutscene is a recreation of crash bandicoot 1 title screen. That how you reveal PlayStation original mascot!)
Spyro the dragon from spyro the dragon (moveset is base on the original trilogy by insomniac games)
Cloud from final fantasy (moveset is a combination of the original and remake)
Dart from the legend of dragoon (considered they were outcry to finish him! He most likely would be in a sequel)
Leon Kennedy from resident evil (I pick him over Jill or Chris because re4 is considered to be the best game of time. So re4 weapons for his moveset)
Dr. Neo cortex from crash bandicoot (ps1 era story main villain and final boss of that story)
Abe from Oddworld
Tomba from Tomba
Sephiroth from final fantasy (because if cloud end up in a fighting game, sephiroth is going to show up to ruin cloud fun)
Nemesis from resident evil (classic design from re3, moveset combined stuff from the original game and remake, nemesis will hunt you down in levels after Leon join the party in certain levels)
Ps2 era
Sora from kingdom hearts (I know some people think getting Sora is impossible if a sequel happens. But, A. Disney was pretty relax with Sora getting in smash bros and B. Don’t have any Disney characters cameos in this game)
Dr. Nefarious from ratchet and clank (I know some people think another ratchet and clank rep should be captain qwark, but I disagree for 2 reasons. 1. Qwark original voice has Alzheimer’s disease so can’t act anymore and 2. Dr nefarious is the most popular ratchet and clank villain. Plus he be the perfect main villain (and final boss) for the ps2 story, considering he a fan favorite who debuted in this era. Also bring Lawrence back damn it!)
Wander from shadow of the colossal (honestly it pretty surprised wander wasn’t considered for the original PlayStation all stars. His game is considered by many to be the best game ever made)
Ultra v from war of the monsters (basically he the size of the iron giant from multiversus)
Kiryu Kazuma from yakuza (I know the devs of the series say “Kiryu can’t be in a fighting game because he has to fight woman and that out of character”. But because the game story is about different universes, what if dr nefarious just kidnapped a Kiryu from different universe (probably from dead souls) and turn him into a mindless servant robot. So when you fighting female characters it just a robot kiryu reskin with his moves)
Death jr from death jr (the psp rep for the game)
Pyramid head from silent hill (is brought back thanks to the ps4 era villain who good with magic. Because pyramid head only exist till James learn the truth)
Greek kratos from god of war (you know how they three link’s in smash and they’re all have no exclusive moves from their games (except botw link and young link). Yeah, I not doing that so here two kratos with two unique movesets! Greek kratos will be part of two pre bonus characters (The other being reboot Dante) that can be bought four months after release or unlock after beating all era’s stories )
Ps3 era
Joel and Ellie from the last of us (I know some people are going to say “Joel and Ellie can’t be in this because their game series is to violent!” One, silent hill is much darker than the last of us part 2 and 2 you know how much outrage if they are not in it. So anyway. Joel and Ellie are like pyra and mythra from smash ultimate (with Ellie being a semi clone of Joel). Joel deal more damage/take less damage but is slow, Ellie is faster but deal less damage/take more damage.
You’re also probably asking “isn’t Joel dead?” Well, this Joel is from a different universe where he didn’t die and part 2 never happened)
Hybrid Chimeran from resistance (this is an original character for the game. He was a Russia young adult, who have seriously smoked problem. When the chimeran started revealing Russia. He was still able to keep free will because the virus having not adapted to resist cancer yet (he has undiagnosed cancer). After discovering chimeran like him, who also have free will (thank to other diseases). They’re escapes to lceland too work on some kind of cure)
The slayer of demon from demon souls (look, I never play or will play a soulslike game. But his game create the genre. So they have to be in this game)
Kutaro from puppeteer
Gleeber and Lunk from PlayStation move heroes (the PlayStation move rep)
Kevin buttler from those old ps3 commercials (ok, incase you don’t know who he is. Check out rebeltaxi video call ‘strange colorful semi lost ps3 games’ to know who he is. You finish the video? Good. then let move on. Kevin is basically the nick fury of this multiverse protection society.)
PS4 era
Spider man from marvel spider man (I know some people think he doesn’t deserve to be in a sequel, because he not a video game character. But just to remind people, James Bond was considered for smash bros melee because goldeneye 64 was that good. And it a license game!)
Abby from the last of us (ah yes the Ray of PlayStation, a group of people love her and the other group want her dead! Look, it more likely she will be in a sequel if it happen. So just don’t play as her if you don’t like her ok! As for gameplay she a clone of Joel and Ellie with a few unique moves. Tho the rat king will be a level three super and the golf club)
Deacon St. John from days gone (the real reason, deacon is on this roster because of one thing. THAT. FUCKING. CLIFFHANGER! (Also, because it consider an modern cult classic by PlayStation fans) like seriously did forget to trick the director again (another why we never got a sequel is because the game director was an dick with angry issues). Anyway, simply to days gone, deacon can find material (that spawn randomly on the stage) to create items for new attacks, find a melee weapon that be upgraded with materials (still have a durable meter that is viewable next to deacon super bar) and upgrade deacon gun attacks by finding better one’s.)
Helldiver from helldivers (like the hybrid Chimera, this helldiver is a unique character created for this game. He wanted to be a helldiver, since he was kid. So he train till was he the legal age to become one. Becoming the first helldivers in history not to die after 3 missions!
After serving super earth for 10 years, he realized that super earth became the very thing they’re swear to destroy! After that, the PlayStation multiverse protection society offer him to join. Leading him to become the best non power agent in the society. His name is Joel btw! For his moveset, he basically Rachel but with helldivers 2 weapons.)
Odin from god of war (main villain of ps4 era and final boss. You’re probably thinking “why is Odin the main villain of the ps4 era. When he didn’t appear in gow 2018” simple. The main villain of 2018 was sent be him, Mimir got trapped in that tree because Odin and giants species got order 66 because of Odin paranoia!
This Odin version is from a reality. Where he actually kill people’s, when he done using them! One day, Odin find a purple ploygon in his workshop and when touching it, open a portal to different world. Odin sent magni and moni in to investigate (mostly cause they useless) and later. Moni is launch out of the portal dead! With magni body being held by evil Cole McGrath aka the beast!
After expanding he not a threat, Odin and Cole sit down and talk with some beer. Cole explains he found a piece liked Odin too in new empire city (a place he built to restarted humanity. After activating all conduits) and suggest it could be a piece from polygon man. Someone who tricked him into a disguise fighting tournament and changed his world history. When Odin ask. What happened to him? Cole explains after everyone realizes they’re been trick, everyone work together to kill polygons man and change their worlds history back to normal and get back home! While everyone was fighting purple clones of themselves, a mark warrior kill polygon man by stabbing him with a blue glowing sword! Realizing this is his chance to control his fate and rule everything. Odin proposes an alliance with Cole to collect polygons man remains to accomplish their goals. Cole suggests they’re need some type of machine to transfer the power tho and a bigger army.
Suddenly, a portal open with dr neo cortex and dr nefarious tumble out with them getting up back up and fighting. Odin tie them down with vine magic and ask who are they? Both explain who their are and nefarious say cortex enter his lab through some portal, both getting into a fight and ending up here.
Cole explains who there are and they plan and ask if they want to join. Both say yes! After that, all four recruits other villains to help with their plan)
Delsin Rowe from infamous (Delsin Rowe can switch between all 4 of his powers be using down circle. This is possible now thanks to a handheld device that contain smoke, neon, video and concrete)
Jin Sakura from ghost of Tsushima
Aloy from horizon (alts are the different tribes encounter in the horizon games)
The hunter from bloodborne
Knack from knack (yes, I want knack in a sequel! His power to grow bigger with more relics is a unique concept for a platform fighting game. Like his two games, knack will absorb relics to get bigger allow him to deal more damage at the cost of speed)
Connor from Detroit: become human (I know Quantic dreams is a studio with shitting work environment. But three of there games are iconic to PlayStation. So if you don’t like it, cry me a river.
Connor in this story is from the ‘everyone live’ timeline. Kara (aka ‘i really should been a dlc story expansion’ character) has written a book explaining how she escapes to Canada while protecting a robot child. Markus is continuing fighting for android rights and now human rights in others countries. And Connor is how an lieutenant at dpd)
Astro bot from Astro bot (surprise! Astro bot first debut on the ps4! In the story, Astro bot is the guardian of PlayStation society mainframe. Location in a secret in between region of the multiverse. The other bots are just his crew of workers)
Joker from persona (Joker use others persona’s for attacks, he summon phantom thieves members for super attacks, Kasumi is alt, joker is in his 20s now, all out attack and sinful shell are custom level 3 supers and have cel shading like his game)
Josh from until dawn (thanks to Odin magic (and manipulation his bad mental health) Josh is now back in control and he ready to finish what he started. Get revenge on his former friends for accidentally killing his sister’s death! Josh is an wendigo now. So his attacks and supers are combined of wendigo viciousness and his good old fashioned traps.)
Miles morales from marvel spider man (don’t worry. Miles is not going to wear ‘the miles morales original’ for his default. He also more of a semi clone than actual clone character. Because of his bio venom and 3 three unique gadgets)
Venom from marvel spider man (considering, they’re getting them game according to the insomniac games leaks. I think having spidey most iconic villain makes sense. Venom height is the same as in marvel spider man 2 and spider man and miles spider sense don’t work on them)
Quill from moss (psvr rep)
Pig detective from dreams (so in case you don’t play dream. Pig detective is 3d point and click adventure series made by team pig. Anyway, i pick him because the devs of dreams have recommended the series on ‘mm picks’ and this series need more recognition. As for gameplay? Imagine phoenix wright from umvc3 but your playing as pig)
Ps5 era
Kena from kena:bridge of spirits (kena can find rot’s (they spawn around the stage randomly) to increase damage of supers that involves them and the stun time of that one move from her game I can’t remember)
Little outsider from stray (if smash can put in duck hunter dog and a 80 game accessory! We can add a cat)
Akito from ghostwire: Tokyo
Colt from deathloop
Selene Vassos from returnal (because she from a rouge like. I imagine her gimmick will involve collecting items to give her unique attacks and increased her stats, but these upgrades be lost when losing a live)
Vex from little big planet (despite me never finishing sackboy big adventure. I really like vex. He a pretty cool villain. Also ps5 era villain and final boss)
Wolverine from marvel wolverine (despite the game not being out yet. I decided to include him because the game is most likely going to be well received and sell well.
Wolverine main gimmick would be his healing factor. Allow him to recover heath in the fight automatically! To make it balance. The rate Wolverine heal will depend on his health bar. He will recover health faster when at critical health, the opposite happens if he almost at full health.)
Atsu from ghost of yotei (again, the game isn’t out yet. But by the look of the trailer. It probably going to be great. Still piss Jin not the main character tho. Like come on! Make him Japan Batman!)
Jordan a. Mun from intergalactic the heretic prophet (ah yes, the game that will help anti woke content farm keep their light on till it release. Again, the game haven’t come yet. But it with being naughty dog next big game. She have to be here)
Eve from stellar blade
Third party characters
Solid snake from metal gear (keep you waiting huh? So your probably wondering why snake isn’t in the ps1 era? Because metal gear first game released on msx2 computer. Metal gear solid was a soft reboot like god of war 2018.
So anyway, as not to undoing mgs4 ending. This snake is from the universe of snake revenge (pretty meta because snake revenge didn’t have any involvement from Kojima) recruited into secret PlayStation society due to being a great infiltrate. Also most because the main universe snake is dead. And yes, David hayter will return to voice snake and he will have codec calls for each character like raiden)
Lara Croft from tomb raider (turned on tomb raider debut on sega Saturn. Anyway Lara Croft would be the one from ps1 era games. Yes they multiple tomb raider continuity’s. So she being this game story would be her final adventure, like drank in a theft end. You can also expect her double pistols as attacks)
Ryu from street fighter (it can’t be a crossover fighting game without Mr. Fighting game)
Scorpion from mortal Kombat (because this a crossover fighting game that has ryu. You might as well add the mascot of street fighter rival series. Just don’t except any fatalities tho)
Alex Mercer from prototype (when infamous and prototype first came out. Everyone was compare these two super heroes sandbox games in a quarantine city. So making Alex. Cole rival make sense)
Reboot Dante from DMC devil may cry (the other pre order bonus character. Dante moveset is updated to include his entire kit from DMC)
Booker Dewitt from bioshock
Batman from Arkham (The Batman arkham games has had exclusive content on PlayStation in the past. Plus, asylum and city are considered the best games of all time. But real reason he here is to retcon kill the justice league. I fucking hate this game!!! It undo Arkham knight amazing ending, unnecessary bring joker back (it a alternate version. But still this a game about the suicide squad, not Batman), making deadshot black (because I guess the general public can’t understand different versions of characters exist), having deathstroke not be one of the four base playing characters (origin post credit scene has deathstroke be the first recruit for the squad) and having the first appearance of the justice league in the Arkhamverse. Just for them to act like idiots and get most of metropolis kills! Just no. So here my idea for Batman in the third party story mode.
Suicide squad: kill the justice league is explained ways as an in universe movie. To cash in on Batman identity being revealed as Bruce Wayne. The movie got overwhelmed negative reviews for kill the world greatest heroes with no respect and giving Batman an insulting death. But anyway, on to Batman.
Bruce has continue his war on crime, using a less powerful version of scarecrow cloudburst fear toxic. To scare criminals and supervillains as Batman “ghost”. Tho he doesn’t interfere that much. 2 years later, batman is testing a new suit (made out of different bat suits) on patrol when he hear a GCPD call about some crime scene. The story starts there.
One more thing tho. Due to Kevin conroy passing away. He honestly wouldn’t return to voice the dark knight. For that reason I suggest to get someone who sounds identical to Kevin Batman voice.)
Joker from Arkham (the third party story mode villain. “But you say it was unnecessary to bring joker back in kill the justice league!?”. Yes I did. But Batman is played this game, unlike kill the justice league. “Joker doesn’t have a reason to come back”. During in Batman (the prime Batman) storyline. Different jokers from across the multiverse were getting power up by a different joker (one who never became joker) and dead jokers were bought back to live. Including Arkham joker. So there you’re reason on why he can come back! Also, mark Hamill would obviously not voice joker. Due to him retire from voice joker after Kevin conory dead. So just get someone who sounds identical to mark joker voice)
Shadow the hedgehog from sonic the hedgehog (this is mostly because of that old fake leak)

Autistic Anime Boys Prelims - Propaganda Division - Group 4
Propaganda:
Natsuki -
"He has a flat affect, especially towards the start of the series, and a strong special interest in fishing. He does not get along with Haru and Yuki at first because he doesn't think they are taking fishing seriously, but after seeing Yuki's drive to improve and growing appreciation for his interest, he warms up to them and develops, what seems to be, the first close friendships he 's had. As the boys learn to fish, he is the source of most of the very specific fishing knowledge in the series, and after the show is finished we see that he has moved overseas to continue pursuing his special interest."
Luca -
*okay I screwed up, this submission didn't have propaganda. It WAS marked 'yes' for propaganda use though, which is where the confusion came from. At this point I'm too tired to move the bracket around though, so Luca's just gonna stay here.
Adrian -
"Not a full time boy (but a boy nonetheless, bigender icon fr) but working autism overtime."
Rui -
"aside from being an adorable piano genius with the voice of an angel? he grew up sheltered and doesn't have a lot of physical stamina but he does his best to become an idol (rescuing his own black kitten along the way) and is officially considered the most cat-like in his unit. he will eat your pudding. also he grows up! he used to be like fifteen and now he's 26?!"
Hikaru -
"He's shown to have difficulty emoting since childhood. In a particular episode, a mother comes to him to alter her child's brain and remove the parts of him that make him difficult to handle. It is heavily implied that the things she wants removed is autism and Hikaru is more upset about this than most other things in the series but seems to understand that acceptance for people like him and the kid is few and far between. He also says things that could be considered rude when it comes to situations where people ask him to alter who they are as people, such as when a friend asks him to change her sexuality so that she's straight and doesn't have to suffer heartbreak anymore."
Rei -
"AUTISTIC ICON!!!!! just like. look at him. look at that one face he makes all the time. it's hard for me to name specific examples other than the obvious fixation on shoji and like general lack of social skills because i haven't gone through the whole thing in so long but there's soooo much there. i might be talking out of my ass but it's also like? such a sensorily focused story (both the anime and manga). he could even be considered a sports anime boy if you just believed ❤️ or something ‼️"
Vayne -
"Relies on his pet cat for social cues, because the cat is better at them. The saddest, most gentle boy to ever wield a cat-sword-gauntlet. Absolutely listens to all of his friends' infodumps with infinite love and interest. Completely oblivious to how everyone in his workshop adores him by the end of the game."
Ganta -
"he has insomnia (frequently comorbid with autism). once he gains an interest in astrophotography it becomes a special interest very quickly. he's sweet and kind but also gets annoyed easily and he rides a bike and works at an arcade and wants to be a nurse and he loves his girlfriend isaki so so much"
Aoi -
"He has a very devoted special interest in the idol Takada-chan, which he frequently imagines in fights and other situations… the moment someone (Itadori) expresses equal interest in something he is passionate about, he immediately declares them besties and brothers and creates a whole elaborate shared history for them that doesn’t actually exist. He’s not really interested in connecting with people who don’t share his interests. He’s seen as somewhat strange and eccentric. Though in the present he is respected because of his strength as a sorcerer, as a child he was very isolated."
Ray -
"Due to his extremely strong memory, Ray is forced to grow up faster than his best friends and gives himself up as a lost cause in hopes of saving them. He is very sharp and smart but has massive blind spots when it comes to trusting and considering others."

2024 completions #1
part 2
back back back again!! gamers gamin'
06/12 update: posting this earlier than the new year because im gonna be rushed off my feet with work so i aint got time for gamin til late janurary :']
doing these is always fun and i know its mainly for myself fghj not sure many people even read these posts when i make em, but theyre fun to look back on!! in 2 parts cause i gamed too hard again smh smh
total games: 30
21/01 - Spider-Man 2 - 7/10
peter and miles return for double the spidey shit and double the big bads. why does anyone even live in this city anymore?? this sure was an insomniac spiderman game!!! like dont get me wrong, none of these games are Bad, theyre kinda middle of the road imo, but theyre still fun so ya cant fault em for that!! my main gripes with this game, as has been with the other 2, is just the overall story and dialogue being kinda boring. also, some of the side missions/collectibles stuff can be a bit of a pain BUT as i said, the combat is still very fun... tho mostly unchanged aside from some new abilities n gadgets
08/02 - Cozy Grove - 8/10
you are a spirit scout who has washed ashore of what seems to be a deserted island. except OOPS wait its not deserted, its haunted, and its YOUR job to help out the wayward souls stuck here into the afterlife if youre looking for a console version of animal crossing this is ur best bet imo!! tons of collectibles to find over the seasons, a bunch of decorations to spruce up the island, and a surprisingly rich story for each character u meet. this game covers some pretty heavy topics for how bright and cozy it looks, it was a pleasant surprise. my main gripes are how repetitive the quests are and how buggy it is; the game freezes a LOT and u have to restart the whole app multiple times just to get going some days. other than that, very fun and relaxing :]
22/02 - Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery - 10/10
you are frog detective, worlds number 2 best detective!! head off on 3 exciting cases and solve the Ultimate mystery - IS there a hat that can fit on frog detectives weird shaped head?? only time will tell im being dead serious about the 10/10 btw. this game is a collection of all 3 games in the series and theyre all super short, but super fun and cute and Funny. like genuinely. i love the low poly art style so much, i think the jokes are great, just the overall vibes are Brilliant, rly cant rec this enough :']
22/02 - Fran Bow - 8/10
fran bow follows the story of a young girl struggling with strange visions and evil entities i mean fran bow is a pretty iconic point n click horror game, idk what else to say abt it that hasnt been said already!! the art style is obviously a highlight, and the writing is iffy in some cases but surprisingly emotional a lot of the time for how messed up the visuals can get. theres a Lot of back and forth which can get a bit tedious, but the puzzles are pretty fun and overall its just a decent game imo
01/03 - Little Misfortune - 6/10
a young girl called misfortune goes on an adventure to find Eternal Happiness after a strange voice begins speaking to her inside her head the spiritual sequel to fran bow!! the vibes are similar for sure but something about this one didnt grab me the same as its predecessor. the character of misfortune can oscillate frequently between cute and annoying for me, as could the voice acting, but theres clearly a lot of heart in this one still :] the world didnt feel As fleshed out as fran bows but still a decent game
07/03 - Castle on the Coast - 7/10
you are a giraffe named george, washed ashore on an island with a castle (on the coast, if you can believe it). after meeting the residents, you gotta platform and collect ur way to the very top to help resolve some bad blood pretty cute n short platformer!! controls are kinda floaty/slippy and its very clearly meant for a younger audience, but its still pretty fun :] low poly art style is always a plus for me and i do always love a good platformer
09/03 - Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel - 9/10
the card game as you know and love it, now digital! i mean. its yugioh fghj if ur a new player its a great way to learn the basics and begin crafting some decks of ur own, if ur a returning player its a fun way to experiment with some new deck ideas and just play, and if u dont wanna play against other people online u can always just take it to a private match and duel there with ur friends :] the ui is sleek, yugioh itself is a fun game. honestly the only bad thing is the other players but u cant do much about that fghjk
15/03 - Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolutions - 6/10
a single player yugioh game where you can duel through iconic scenes from the og anime and beyond kind of the unrefined, solo play version of master duel. its not as good imo, and master duel brought a lot of quality of life upgrades from this one, but if ur after a decent single player yugioh game this ones ur bag :'] this version has 6 different animes to chose from and u can play thru all of them, build ur own decks, etc etc. theres also an online mode but its pretty dead and if u wanna duel real people u might as well just use master duel
19/03 - Chasing Static - 5/10
having just buried his father, chris pulls over to a late night cafe after getting lost in the welsh countryside. while exploring the area, he finds a mysterious bunker and a voice over the radio pretty 'meh' horror game but i rly like the ps1 style graphics, always a plus for me. the actual plot and gameplay is fine, nothing too special, and its Extremely short, but not much else to say :']
20/03 - Steven Universe: Unleash the Light - 8/10
more gems are determined to disturb the peace of era 3 and its once again up to steven and the crystal gems to stop them another steven universe rpg!! apparently this is the 3rd in the trilogy, but the first one was never ported to ps so ive only ever played this one and 2 fghj BUT honestly?? these are rly good rpgs; the art style is gorgeous, the gameplay is fun, obviously the characters are cute too. its just a blast :] the Big Gripe is that its glitchy as hell fghjk you can get stuck in certain areas and be unable to move unless u exit the game, but i still highly recommend for su and rpg fans alike
28/03 - The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem - 3/10
when a seedy businessman shows up on their doorstep looking to buy and demolish their house, the addams family have to scour the place of artefacts to prove their homes importance .....i mean. its. fine. its ur standard 3d platformer fare, nothing to write home about really. its one of those overpriced ip games that dont take long to beat at All. i only got it for the meme and cause it was on sale and like i say, not bad, but its just kinda meh. the "story" is boring and feels not very addams-y but at this point thats par for the fkn course for anything with their names on it fghj
31/03 - First Class Trouble - 1/10
its a shitty among us clone, and thats all i have to say about this mess this thing has been on my backlog for 2 years and i NEVER. thought id every finish it because its Literally just among us but not fun. all the trophies are online only and specific as Fuck. the only reason i did it is cause i unlocked One (1) trophy when it was free on ps plus with my mates and it was bugging the fuck outta me. so yuh. dont play fghj. p sure the servers are gonna die soon too
07/04 - Burnout Paradise: Remastered - 7/10
burnout paradise has you getting behind the wheel in one of the best racing/stunting/crashing games in the world. try not to wreck your car Too bad MAN. this bad boys been on my backlog for 3 years, holy shit. i bought it because i was nostalgic and i remember playing the original with my brother all the time, so it was defo an experience to go back :'] while it is a very fun game as a whole, it gets repetitive pretty quickly, even with all the new cars you unlock, and some of the online trophies can be a pain to get (2 specifically involving full lobbies) BUT cant deny its an entertaining time
27/04 - LEGO DC Super-Villains - 7/10
the justice league have gone missing and a new band of "heroes" have swept in to take their place. our titualar super villains arent too pleased about this standard lego game fare :'] if i had to pick, im certainly more of a dc fan simply for harley, and lego games are always fun collectathon type deals, so this wasnt half bad!! lego games humour is always a lil hit or miss, but these things are always aimed at younger audiences anyway so eh what can ya do
04/05 - Overwatch 2 - 5/10
one of the most famous fps shooter games out there, do i rly need to explain overwatch to you?? no your eyes do NOT deceive you, i did in fact 100% overwatch 2. not Completely on my own merit, i had the help of a boosting group, but still!!!! twas a journey :'] i never played overwatch in its heyday so i cant speak to how it Used to be, but from what ive played now its just... not rly for me. i like the characters a bunch, and the world/story building is interesting, but thats not rly the focus of the game itself tho i wish it was
07/05 - Control - 9/10
jesse faden inadvertently becomes the new director of the federal bureau of control aftering finding the previous one dead seemingly from a self inflicted gunshot. overtaken by entities called the Hiss, jesse fights to reclaim the Oldest House, while also searching for her long lost brother WHEW!! love this one holy SHIT. big big BIG scp vibes, the way this game handles its horror and aesthetic is brilliant and exactly my cup of tea. tbh i found the actual gameplay the least interesting part fghj i would've spent the whole time going around collecting files and reports just to read them if i could :'] that being said, combat and traversal feel Awesome, every new ability is so fun to use. great stuff!!
10/05 - Carrion - 9/10
you are an unholy, fleshy, offal abomination, free from ur confines within a secret underground facility. time to escape. and kill everyone on the way out :] honestly ive been wanting to play this for ages so im glad i finally could! just as fun as i expected, visually amazing i Love the pixel art style paired with this rly disgusting Thing ur controlling dfghj its incredibly satisfying to just grab people up and start ripping them to shreds. u unlock new abilities as u progress and encounter stronger enemies as u go, but the feeling of being some unstoppable force never rly goes away (positive). p short game, but very fun!!
13/05 - Coffee Talk 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly - 7/10
coffee talk 2 takes place a while after the first game, introducing a couple of new faces and reconnecting with old ones this games just p pleasant to play :'] like the first one, its a kind of a barrista/visual novel type deal where people come in and u make them drinks/listen to their stories/etc etc. the musics lovely, the arts p nice, but like the first one i feel like its all a bit surface level. i never Really feel like i connect with any of these characters, even the returning ones, but its still a pretty game and theres not much else to say about it fghj
18/05 - A Way Out - 5/10
two guys, brought together by a mutual goal, escape prison and begin a journey to exact revenge on the man who ruined their lives tbh i didnt actually finish this game since the plat pops Wayyy before the end and i already knew how it ended so... yeah fghj i only played this for a platinum bingo event im doing rn and needed a co-op game to do so here we are :'] that being said, its an interesting story with interesting mechanics!! defo fun to play with a friend if ur looking for a short impactful story to get thru together
23/05 - NORCO - 10/10
kay, finally coming home after her mother passes away from cancer, learns that she had been doing some investigating in the nearby swamps and begins trying to figure out what she was looking for a sci-fi southern gothic point-n-click game that BLEWWW me away dude. holy shit this story is so SO good, i loved every second of it. its such an interesting setting with worldbuilding to match, gorgeous art, haunting soundtrack AUGH cannot recommend this one enough
01/06 - Heavy Rain - 2/10
the origami killer kidnaps ethan mars' remaining son and he must go on a set of trials to get him back. and other stuff happens too i guess. bad. its just bad dfgh. lets try to start with a positive tho; the actual concept is pretty cool and the mystery/crime stuff is alright, but the writing and characters are fkn boring and annoying and gross. i hated ethan as a main character, i thought he was so annoying, the plot twist makes no sense, and all the female characters are so clearly written by a man who hates women. yuck.
01/07 - Pesterquest - 10/10
you're a lean, mean, friend making machine and the ceasless call of platonic relations beckons you even now!!! time to befriend some regular degular teens (and aliens) okay so HUGE preface on this game you kinda.... Have to have read homestuck to understand literally any of it. im a homestuck fan, and ive never read the epiloges or the "sequel" and even I was lost on some points, but REGARDLESS i fkn loved this so much. its just ur run-of-the-mill visual novel, but i genuinly had such a fun time revisiting these characters and seeing them again that i dont even care dfghj and great art too!!
04/07 - Hiveswap Friendsim - 7/10
you have just crash landed on a strange alien planet. your bones are broken, you're lost and alone, you're hungry and thirsty. only one thing can save you now... FRIENDSHIP!!!! so i think i was supposed to play this one before pesterquest dfghj but i got too excited to see characters i already knew again :'] ANYWAY this game acts as a little introduction to some characters you can meet in the ill-fated homestuck point and click adventure game, hiveswap. while i didnt find this one as engaging as pesterquest, it was still an interesting insight into alternian life!! which im all about. i doubt it ever will, but i wonder if they'll ever port hiveswap to console... a man can dream
09/07 - Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy - 5/10
apollo justice, an up-and-coming defence attorney, begins his journey at the wright anything agency so i wanna start with a good thing off the bat because my opinion of this collection kinda plummeted towards the end. i rly like the 3d models, i think they capture the same level of character that the og 2d ones did and add new dimensions to everyone. everything else tho... hh idk man, i just rly didnt vibe with these at all, which sucks. i feel like it was just ret con after ret con after character assassination. big L tbh
23/07 - Grotto - 8/10
in the middle of the woods, in the heart of a mountain, lives a soothsayer. a startamer. using the constellations, you must provide the people who visit you with answers to their most pressing questions the art style of this game kinda drew me in, and the story ended up surprising me with how dark and interesting it is!! you end up making a lot of descisions that seem to have no good options, or giving people an answer that they end up misinterpreting for the worse due to ur limited options. for playing such a limited perspective, you get such a clear, vivid picture of whats happening outside your little cave. really interesting stuff
27/07 - Broken Age - 8/10
vella and shay are two teenagers with seemingly totally unrelated lives. they long for change, for freedom, and to do that they must break the traditions forced onto them from birth a point-n-click adventure with a surprisingly star studded cast!! and i didnt even know this was made by the same people who made psychonauts until i started it up :'] which means the art and humour were brilliant! honestly super fun, engaging characters and fun puzzles, and the way these two finally converge was honestly so brilliantly done, i did Not expect it at all
31/07 - Horizon Zero Dawn - 9/10
aloy grew up an outcast her whole life and its only when her past comes knocking does she finally begin to get some answers to her life long questions. also theres a bunch of huge killer robots :] this ones been on my backlog for so damn long, im so happy i finally got around to finishing it!! the combat in this is so addicting, i played it for like a week straight going for all the side quests n upgrades n such. the story was fkn brilliant, i feel like it balanced the the sci-fi elements really well with all the more fantasy stuff, and theres even some horror aspects that i really enjoyed!! im docking a point for glinthawks tho. FUCK glinthawks.
06/08 - Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective - 8/10
a man wakes up in a junkyard about to watch a woman get shot by an assassin. he has to help her but theres only one problem: hes dead. using his new ghostly powers, "sissel" must discover the truth behind his death and the strange events taking place tonight, before he disappears forever a game that id been super excited to play for how much it was hyped up by literally everyone i mentioned it to :'] the mechanics are simple but super satisfying, very rube goldberg machine, and the story is a tantalising mystery that unfolds at a great pace with plot twists and reveals happening at just the right moments to keep you engaged
10/08 - Cat Quest 3 - 9/10
the third installment of the cat quest rpg games takes on the open ocean, as our main lil cat buddy and their ghostly guide search the purribean for the north star treasure!! listen, i fkn Loveeeee the cat quest games and i recommend them to anyone who will listen and i mean that from the bottom of my heart. this one continues the trend of fun combat, an excessive amount of cat puns, and a surprisingly in-depth story that carried over from previous games. my big gripe is that this game is short as hell and it feels like even outside the story, there isnt as much to do as there is in the past games. still incredibly fun :]
27/11 - Bioshock: Remastered - 7/10
after your plane crashes in the middle of the ocean, you wind up in an underwater city called rapture where things seem to have gone completely tits up the gamer is back after 3 months with a game almost 4 years in the making on my backlog :'] not sure if this'll be the last game i have the time to complete this year but hopefully i got time for one more at least!! so theres a reason it took me so long to finish this one, its just cause it never rly clicked with me :[ which sucks cause its a rly cool premise with a ooky spooky atmosphere which is totally my vibe. ive been adamant i wouldnt play the rest (mainly because i thought the remasters would have the online trophies but, to my surprise, they dont) so time will tell if i keep on goin with this series
