theremin!! an electronic musical instrument that you play without touching it! only using electrical currents and your hands to play it! sounds like both a ghost and also a human voice!

feels fitting for athena who can hear the emotions of people that are not expressed verbally!

(theremin is such a cool instrument!! you gotta listen to at least one piece that i’ll insert in this post just trust me!)

tchaikovsky’s her favourite composer and she will cry during the letter scene in eugene onegin just like he did when he wrote the opera. she’s an emotional person and loves sappiness of course she likes tchaikovsky

debussy touches the more melancholic? side of her that is associated with her mother (metis is also the reason why she plays the theremin in the first place. she saw the potential athena has with the instrument). the story behind debussy’s children’s corner resonates with her (a suite written for his daughter with the dedication: “To my dear little Chouchou, with tender apologies from her father for what follows”).

friday flash recs: may 27, 2022

bonjour mes petits chouchous! this week/month’s drarry rec theme is THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME or SAFE AS HOUSES or MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME. aka: fics that deal with houses. a housekeeping (wink) note: if you notice any big house-centric fics missing (cough the bolthole cough) from this list, it’s almost certainly because it’s going to be on a future list. and if you noticed that it’s been a month since i did the last one of these supposedly weekly lists... no you didn’t.

> ad infinitum || @corvuscrowned​ || 13.6K || E 2006 horror comedy monster house found lying dead in a ditch. so, here’s a thing crow does that i absolutely love: he takes these brilliant ideas, ideas like “what if harry & draco’s house was fed up with their shit and trapped them inside?” and imbues them with raw emotion so bitingly elegant that i want to scream. reading this fic is a visceral experience. as the situation escalated in the house, i found myself having to open a window. it kept ramping up so that by the time i got to the end i had to actually go sit outside. and when i finished reading, i had to stare at the horizon for a while and think about how beautiful and complicated and worthwhile love can be. what a beautiful thing crow has made for us.

> burning down the house || @peachpety || 4K || M father, son, house of gucci. full disclosure that i read this fic literally today and jumped on over to add it to this list, but man am i glad i did because it is an absolutely delightful bite of a story. harry as EIC of the quibbler with draco as fashion editor, swanning around in floral suits and ruining harry’s day, is just the perfect thing to read on a friday afternoon. the way peach plays with magic--especially fire magic--is so refreshing and fun, and made me realize how long it’s been since i read a fic where magic is allowed to be wild and rambunctious. reading this is like treating yourself to extra dessert, but you’re also attracted to the dessert, so don’t think about it too hard and just give yourself over to the joy of it.

(insert here five uninterrupted minutes of eyebrow waggling from me). there’s, of course, much more to the story--including a misplaced school bus and a library i’d like to live inside of--but there’s the gist. if you’ve read my past rec lists you’ll see that i tend to gravitate towards E-rated fic, but iota’s writing is just so wonderful and snappy that i forget about smut entirely. smut? who is she? i only know (to steal iota’s own words) “mean flirting” and amazingly fun plot and sparkling worldbuilding and simmering UST.

> tiny home || @wolfpants​​ || 30.2K || E || also harry/ron, draco/ron, harry/draco/ron triad i should not be allowed to talk about this fic in public. in part because i’ve been accidentally calling it “tiny house.” i was asked recently what my favorite fic was and i shouted TINY HOUSE TINY HOUSE OH MY GOD TINY HOUSE until i could type it calmly (and still by the wrong name, natch). i could write an entire thesis about why i like this fic, but this is already getting very long and i’ve told you nothing substantial yet, so i will instead list a few of my favorite things and hopefully you’ll see why i can’t be normal about it: draco’s rings, draco’s tight velvet trousers, how this draco reminds me of howl???, ron with long hair, draco braiding ron’s hair, draco pulling ron’s hair, harry and ron talking about fucking draco, harry in his henley in the middle of everyone’s love, sister cats!!!, building a home by hand, everyone is too hot it’s unfair, the sex my god, but also the love!!! fuck! triad love with no element of jealousy is just... chef’s kiss, like all the rest of this delightful story, which is apparently not called tiny house. 

> the trouble with wanting || @waldorph​ || 50.8K || E || active WIP perfect rich kid slytherins are perfect. i am most familiar with waldorph from their star trek fic, so when i saw they recently started a drarry? my screams, they echoed, babes. as you’d expect with a waldorph fic, the dialogue is pitch perfect and biting and each and every character is fleshed out in a way that makes you stop and go “well, fuck. okay.” and reconsider your own writing. this is a draco-centric story that really just does have everything: sparkling “old sport” slytherin rich kid dynamics, house magic (chaotic good--draco finding his own way in the world while drinking cocktails in a flat of his own, very “i’ll buy the flowers myself”; and lawful evil--grimmauld place trying to eat harry alive), magical tattoos, scar magic theory, weasley-bedding, and a just stunningly hot harry who refuses to settle for anything less than everything draco can give. 

& here is the part where i usually post the longfics i’m reading, but i’m both a) very self-conscious about the length of this post, and b) very slow at reading lately, so if i said i was reading it in a previous post i probably still am. except (lol) i have added far from the tree to the list, which i am very much overdue to be reading. thank you to @jalesidor & @tackytigerfic​ for the rec / blame them (don’t blame them, they’re lovely) for the pause in any progress i was making on these other fics because my entire mind has been taken over by subby far from the tree harry now and probably forever, amen.  < last time: non-drarry draco & harry pairings (aka mostly the dron & charry show)

How do you respond to people who say that sakura and sasuke haven’t kissed?

I'd say that by their stupid logic, no couple other than Naruto and Hinata have kissed since they have the only on screen kiss. But it really says a lot about how desperate they are to find something to bitch about Sakura/SS that they'd believe they had sex but haven't kissed. Then again, they would also readily believe that Sakura would sexually assault Sasuke in order to get herself pregnant, so I suppose their ridiculous theories should no longer surprise me. And then there are of course the many who believe that they never actually had sex, and that the characters and Kishimoto himself are all pathological liars because [insert utterly pathetic justification here].

They say stupid things like how Sakura confirmed she that she never kissed Sasuke when she didn't. They point to her sad face and use that as some flimsy form of evidence as if that proves anything. She was sad because she missed having that physical intimacy with Sasuke. They constantly twist things in order to suit their own warped narrative, and rely on the most ridiculous theories, rather than simply accepting what has been explicitly stated on panel. Sasuke confirmed that his heart was connected to Sakura's, and explained that the proof of that connection was Sarada's existence:

Now, if Sarada is brought to tears from this, and Naruto is smiling knowingly at them, and Chouchou is happily stating how lucky Sarada is, it's very obviously not because SS's relationship is shambolic is it? It's because these characters can plainly see the genuine affection between these two people. And yet, these extremists will twist the scene, trying desperately to claim that Sasuke was actually saying that Sarada is the only reason he and Sakura were still together, they'll say that Sakura's expression was "sad" there and use that as "proof" of their lies, and it's all just so pathetic. As if Naruto, Chouchou and Sarada would all be so happy to hear that Sarada is the child of a loveless marriage.

They always try to legitimise their claims by stating how "Kishimoto was saying this", and "Kishimoto was showing that", as if they can somehow read the guy's mind. You wanna know what Kishimoto has actually said about Sasuke and Sakura's relationship during Gaiden? He said that their love is the real deal:

It says it right there in red letters. I don't need to rely on grossly twisting scenes and putting words in Kishmoto's mouth that he never said like these SNS extremists do, in order to justify their delusions. That, is what Kishimoto said about Sasuke and Sakura's relationship during Gaiden, not that their marriage is a failure or whatever utter nonsense these people like to bitch about just to make themselves feel better about how their SNS fantasies never materialised.

My fave song written by Hidehiko has to be Black Cherry. Also happens to have the lyrics co-written by Hidehiko too😏 I'm aware of Hidehiko's emotive songwriting skills (like Dress and Megami) and also I love how he writes such sensual songs too, and for me Black Cherry takes the cake. I like how he incorporated retro styles of the 70s *insert extremely loud shreiking*

Love From A Love Song

For someone who has no prior experience to love or dating in general. I do love to talk about love a lot. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that (again) I’m a hopeless romantic or it could be because of the music I consume. 

I’ve talked extensively about a certain band I listened to on repeat as a teen mainly so I can scream, rap and growl. There’s the thing. [What Linkin Park Was and Always Be] But, I also like things poppy and lovely. Music runs in my family.

In one room, I hear K-pop but alone, I’m listening to Japanese. Next to me will be English of the Rap or Pop variety and downstairs will be Chinese/ Cantonese. My family loves music and no matter the age difference and variety in genres. We always find things to like about each other’s taste.

One part of the music world that I hear a lot when I’m not screaming my lungs out are love songs. Each song I’m about to present is from a certain stage of a relationship. Yeah, this is going to be that kind of post. If you want to play along. Just add the phrase “Love from a Love Song” and tag me if you want me to find it. I’m curious about your tastes.

While not its intended stage but when I think of putting my guard up from love. It would be Sara Bareilles. Released in 2007, {Love Song} is one of those catchy tunes that keeps getting stuck in my head for no absolute reason. Perhaps its a song the resonates with me whenever I have a crush on someone.

Crushing is a rather sweet thing. Its that typical story of being close to someone only to realize that there was an intended or unintended purpose to drop the three big words. Its up to interpretation as to what it means and people sure did their number on this particular song and its intentions. There is an official answer though. According to Bareilles, it came from her bad co-writing experience with the record label she was signed to.

As for me, {Love Song} its a song about learning how to love instead of being in love. Instead of feeling butterflies, writing their names with yours over and over again for some self-insert fairytale. The song is reminding me not to get all bright eyed and lovey dovey to a person too soon.

Love songs are very personal. To write one is to be vulnerable and no one likes to be vulnerable. Crushing can be sweet but also frightening because of the looming uncertainty. Despite the lyrics {Love Song} is, in some way a love song. Its about loving the self and the value of one’s self and how can you love others without loving the self? Which is funny to the song I’m about to pull next.

Love can make us do stupid things. That’s a given. We all have crushes. Some of us don’t but I digress. For the ones that do, we eventually had to say our peace. We get anxious over this uncertainty and that uncertainty leads to recklessness. However, it can only go two ways. Either the person is going to say yes or no with an "I'm sorry" at the end. Most of the time. It's the latter.

This Japanese song is a heartache song. {心做し} translates to {Kokoronashi} an expression meaning 'somehow’ or 'somewhat’. Crushing can be scary and the scary part is to hear the unwanted words from the people you loved, cared and admired. More so if you treated them like a friend. Its an exhausting feeling to realize that while its good to finally tell the person how you feel, it doesn’t hurt less when you hear that they don’t feel the same. 

For Chouchou-P and the many other emotional cover artists that covered this song with loads of emotion. (you can look it up) Its about reliving that painful memory of experiencing a wound not even a bandage can fix. Giving your heart only to see it stabbed before your very eyes. Heartache is perhaps more harmful than pain itself. Not that I have experienced it. I made it abundantly clear but if I am soft as a pillow when something from fiction has a breakup scene. I can’t imagine the deep gashes people who actually dated suffer from.

Reading too much into this, a fellow Amino User; Karu! expressed that while it is soul crushing, there is a silver lining. According to him. {Kokoronashi} is about not letting others love you. Despite the 'hurt' the Main Character did to this very special person, the MC is confused about why the person she is confessing to, a He (based on most of the official artwork from the creator) is still around. There’s a sense of regretful guilt to be accepted from the MC. Believing themselves to be incapable of being loved for all the harm that they bring. Heartache hurts and many, many songs cover this but perhaps the more harmful side to a heartache is being incapable to love again. However, what happens when you do?

WE’RE ON CLOUD FREAKING NINE! Call it young and dumb love, call it finally meeting “The One”, call it whatever. Love is the greatest gift anyone can give to a person. Its just refreshing to wake up and feel the comfort of a significant other lying next to you and holding you to sleep. Its great to realize that you can have a rock to fall back on, to keep you supported and vice versa.

Being in love is a childish thing. It makes you feel like a kid again because you become soft and relaxed. You become at peace knowing that you’re with that certain someone who is both your best friend and your protector. I could have picked the duet {Lucky} that the artist, Colbie Caillat did with Jason Mraz. [Full song here] but I decided to use {Bubbly} because, its a lot more comfortable.

Love can occur in many ways, from people you least expect from and that is what this song means. Its sweet, its used for more than just being in love with someone you’ve met in life that became special. It could also be about being with someone in your family. Like a sweet grandma, a protective dad, a best buddy sibling or a soothing mom. Its love in its most comfortable state and its calming for the body and the soul.

Here’s a special piece, on one particular relative’s wedding. My mom practiced and sang this very song during the celebration ceremony as a gift to the newly wed couple. {最重要的決定} translates to, {Most Important Decision} 

Love, even if you did eventually find “The One” is still imperfect. There will be fights, hardships and external challenges. “Love is about two people but doesn’t mean there is no room for others.” That’s what a certain movie my younger sibling watched said. For a long time, I struggled to understand how love works for married couples who bicker but still love one another regardless and I believe this song sends that message.

Its a testament to remind me or perhaps, us that love comes from what you value most. Sure, its not perfect but is good...still good and its what keeps the relationship going. Its so easy to breakup when you are young and dumb. Maybe it was a silly argument or maybe it was the self being uncertain. Or perhaps, the person did deserve the break because they were horrible.

But love is a journey. Not a feeling, but a journey and eventually that journey leads to Forever and even in Forever, it still is a journey. I still don’t completely understand how do old couples survive for so long aside from the commitments they shared when they tie the knot but that night, this song became a reminder.

Perfect is rare and often it fails us. The message I hear from my mother’s singing is a message to say. “Perfect does not exist, WE make things Perfect.” As of now, I still have not found that special one but if I eventually do. This song would be a significant reminder that I carry with me. As for now, my more...pessimistic side will conclude with this last note.

Alright, I’ll get out out of your hair. Let’s be real here. In a world where all things are connected, a genuine relationship will be difficult find and get. Love is not as dreamy as it sounds, it can be uncertain. Love is not perfect but love is a feeling that no other feeling can bring. Let’s not kid ourselves here.

We suck and want Love to help us suck less. Love is far from simple but it can be as simple as picking a person and loving them. Love is perhaps the best thing about being human. We are all capable of changing a special person’s life, giving them pain and happiness when we choose to. We express them in its various stages and while It may not be perfect, so is everything. 

Its important to know that love, no matter how you learn the expression or what stage you are in, is less about the feeling and more about the commitment. Love is an adventure and its no easy task but for those who do. Love becomes the will that keeps us going. I won’t end with that preachy talk about “love yourself first” but rather, I will end by saying. “Love is difficult and imperfect but love can also be just as simple.” What I address here is but a fragment of the meaning of Love. Perhaps we may never completely understand love or maybe we don’t have to. But there sure are many ways to express them.

Starlight Express Writing Challenge

Inspired by a writing challenge HashamotoGloria did. @shanisteel82arts suggested I do Ashley the smoking car. Basically, you write an entry for the duration of a song and have to stop and move on when the next one plays. I used my playlist on YouTube which I use for writing, and the parts [in brackets] are when an ad started playing, and I just wanted to finish the thought before the next song played. (Not too many ads tbh!) I went more for a "feel" of the song rather than always using the literal lyrics as guidance (e.g. the "Sinking of the Reuben James" isn't about July 4th, but that's what popped into my head.) The challenge calls for 10 songs, but I did 11 because I was waiting for an ad to pop up so that I could count how many I had done, but one didn't show up until after the 11th. The only editing I did was to insert paragraph breaks and fix spelling/insert missing words and the like.

"I Can Move" LazyTown Young Ashley moved jerkingly down the track. This was the last time she would let CB tighten her knee joints. She should have seen an actual repair truck. She picked up speed... [rolling down the hill] "Sinking of the Reuben James" by the Kingston Trio Fourth of July came to Wilton Yard. Ashley waved her miniature American flag (for a train) while engines pulled wagons and coaches dressed in patriotic colors and frills for the big parade. The summer air felt hot, but she enjoyed herself anyway and didn't care how bright the sun beat down upon her brown hair. Beside her Buffy put her fingers to her mouth and whistled like a human as Flat-Top was pulled with a series of other flat cars, all dressed up like parade floats. Flat-Top scowled a little at her as he passed, but Ashley could see he enjoyed the attention. The smoking car cheered as Rusty came next, pulling Pearl. She looked so... "Canadian, Please" Gunnarolla Ashley and Buffy in their clubbing make-up and clothing strode into the tunnel night club, which pulsed with techno music and flashed colored lights in the dark. The two coaches danced to the music even before they reached the dance floor. "C'mon, girls," Buffy called over her shoulder. Behind them Pearl and Dinah looked nervous, having never been in this part of the yard before, but they tried to hide... [their uncertainty] "Jamabalaya" Conjunto San Antonio Ashley sat on the side of the dance floor watching the trains celebrating Oktoberfest with polkaing. She laughed to think what Ruhrgold would have thought if he had been there to see American trains emulating his culture in their own way -- especially since this was Texas, and Texans put their own country flare to everything. Ashley suspected most German trains didn't wear cowboy hats while they went omm-paa-paa around the track with their carriages in denim skirts. She clapped her hands to the beat. Buffy seemed to be enjoying herself with an engine... "Hungry Eyes" Eric Carmen (fitting name for a train, btw) Ashley moved down the alley beside the diner. A smile played upon her artificial face as she strode to the tall figure waiting for her beneath the lamp post. The blue TGV turned as she approached, and Bobo's young face broke into a smile that could have melted a freezer's heart. "Hey," the French train purred as they embraced, and she gave his pale face a quick kiss. "Hey yourself," she grinned as she pushed back and took his hand. "Ready for some fun?" "It's always fun when you're around, mon chouchou," the TGV returned, squeezing her hand. Ashley wanted to hug him again, but it was best to keep a man wanting more, so she pulled him toward the park in the distance. "A night stroll and dinner..." "Katzen Blut" The Cat Returns Bobo wrapped his arm around Ashley's wooden waist and led her in a waltz beneath the fairy lights adorning the shed's ceiling. His steel shoulders felt so cool to the touch as she ran her fingers over his blue paint. "You're light on your wheels," she complimented. "Most trains these days don't know how to do a ballroom dance." "I learn..." "With These Blueprints" Phineas and Ferb Starla and Ashton poured over the crude drawings that served as their blueprints. "We can build ourselves a catapult for the contest. What do you think, Aunt Ashley?" Starla excitedly asked the smoking car. Ashley would have liked to step outside for a cigarette, but through her cravings she managed to smile at the trainlings she was... "The Melody Within" Melissa Burke (cover of a song originally from Rigoletto, one of my favorite films!) She could remember her dreams in her youth, getting up and singing in front of a hushed crowd. All focus would be on her for a few glorious moments, and the trains would sit in awe while Ashley would sing with all her heart. Even now in her antique age, the smoker could remember the hopes of her youth, practicing songs in her free moments and in the privacy of tunnels and abandoned tracks. If only she could be like Mama when she was on stage. But life had other plans. The railways needed smoking carriages to cater to young women so that they would not be in the same car as male smokers, so she was selected to be one of her railways first ladies smoking carriages. With her cravings, so much of her money ended up being spent on cigarettes, and she missed an audition because she had to have a smoke five minutes before she went on... "Katzen Blut" The Cat Returns (came on twice XD) Age didn't matter when Bobo guided her beneath the stars, humming their waltz song so sweetly. Who cared if he was the newest train in France while she was a relic from a heritage railway? Right now, they were just two trains who enjoyed the other's presence, a man and a coach who liked to dance. "Clock Tower" Epic Mickey [Extended version uploaded by GhostMizer] The scrapyard made crunching sounds behind its walls. Ashley tried not to think of what the great and terrible machines were doing inside as she passed its large, omnious doors. She could see freight women standing in line -- they were not due for the scrapheap today. They were collecting mothers, triggered by their husbands and lovers into searching for any piece of shining metal they could stuff inside their satchels. They would go in and claim any piece of metal, whether an arm, a leg, an ear, and a liver, and recycle for the still unbuilt children. Ashley shuddered at the thought. She was glad coaches could not collect. No way would she step through those doors voluntarily. It was bad enough passing the junk yard on her way to the north entrance to meet for the Sunday charity picnic the chapel cars were holding to raise money for vagabonds and abandoned trains. If the traffic had not been so bad, she would never have taken this route, but she was meeting Espresso, and she had no intention of being late for their date. She held her breath as she passed the place of death and hurried on, but the crunching of the machines within followed her long after the scrapyard disappeared in the distance. Starlight willing, it would be a long time before she would be sent there herself. At least her spot on the heritage railway seemed secure, but a nasty accident with a few matches and wooden body could send her corpse there someday. "Just think about Espresso," she told herself and straightened her shoulders. Eventually, she saw the tents and acti... "A Freak Like Me Needs Company" Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark Electra was certainly handsome. Rumors had it that he was a minor rock star back in his old yard in addition to a racer. He took center stage, moving his hips to the techno music, and Ashley had more than a little interest. His limbs could jerk robotically one moment and then glide so fluidly the next, the work of a skilled artist. The Naruto Gaiden arc is here and with it the worst plot ever made in any manga adapted to be even more ridiculous anime  by SP so here are 8 silly scenes from first episode of Naruto Gaiden arc.

#1: SP either saving money on animation or they made some of the most questionable editing work ever, one second Boruto is shhing Sarada while standing out on the street and the next he is in the sewer still shhing her.

#2: Naruto and Sakura needing to work out their anger issues

Naruto is such a hypocrite he wants to punish Boruto for something he used to do as a kid and the expression Naruto gives him is like I’m going to fucking murder you little shit. Same as Sakura to Sarada when Sarada questions her about if she is even married to Sasuke.

I’ve seen many try to excuse this as comic relief but it can’t be any further then the truth, Sakura’s actions had real consequences she almost physically hurt her child made her cry and completely went berserk on her,and even her house fell apart just from the amount of force she used on the ground.  Naruto’s actions are almost just as bad, but at least Naruto had a reason to get angry but not to fight his son the way he did he was actually annoyed when he realized he punched a clone of Boruto in the face and not the real one. honestly both Sakura and Naruto looked like they are fighting an enemy and not their own child with those expression and the excessive use of violence.

#3: Uchiha information and Sharingan secrets is free to the public of course the massacre is still covered up, and they were wiped out due to grave misfortune (to have ever lived in the corrupted village of Konoha).

so did Sasuke like write this book or something like how is so much is known here is a mystery including Tobirama’s knowledge on the sharingan. Probably this is how shin knew about Sarada, he just went to the library and got the knowledge that Sasuke has a daughter. 

#4: oh look it’s Sasuke wearing his akatsuki robe right in in their family picture in the living room if Sakura doesn’t want Sarada to know he was a criminal (and it’s supposed to be some big secret) why the hell does she put a picture of him wearing a notorious criminal organization formal wear for everyone to see especially her daughter could probably go to the library and see the origin of the outfit that would raise a lot of questions for her when she realizes what this outfit is,

 #5: Sarada wonders if her father ever wore glasses and she asks because she believes her need for eyeglasses is hereditary.

and then Sakura shows exactly how much she knows about her husband.

Bonus: Sarada asks  when her dad will come home to which Sakura gives a usual evasive answer.

Ouch, good one Sarada, the captain of the anti-ss.

even Sakura knows how badly she was burned and have no more excuses to give.

#6: Look how happy Sakura is

#7: the picture reveal is really weird first we see clearly Sasuke is centered inside the picture frame

Then we see Sarada removes the picture in it’s entirety from the broken picture frame

The picture becomes larger then the picture frame and Sasuke is on right side of the picture instead of being centered while it inserts Jugo on the left, it’s a magical picture imbued with special chakra that expands the size of it when it is removed from the picture frame.

the existence of this picture is also quite absurd I mean did Obito say to team Taka guys to celebrate you joining Akatsuki I“m going to keep a memento of this occasion Zetsu go bring my camera,, alright stand right here say moon eye plan.

#8: Why does Sarada think that Karin might be her mother just because she wears the same glasses as her that really doesn’t make much sense just like this plot of Gaiden doesn’t make much sense, and it really makes Sarada look dumber then ChouChou (the anime actually gave a chouchou a better reason to doubt Choji is her father).

and honestly the glasses don’t even look the same ,they look different by color and also by their design so like WTF.

Je pense répondre à la plupart des questions de ce post. Logiquement, la règle est d’attendre que les autres vous envoient les numéros des questions auxquelles ils aimeraient que vous répondiez, mais.... ! Osef ! Si je respecte ce genre de règles, je risque d’attendre longtemps et comme je trouve ce genre de questionnaires amusants : allons-y ! (Je précise que je pourrai modifier certaines questions, ou en sauter certaines.)

1) Quel âge aviez-vous quand vous avez commencé à écrire de la fanfiction ?

Je... me rappelle plus trop, en fait. Quand j’étais gosse, j’étais fan du Club des 5. C’était même une sacrée obsession et je lisais et relisais les volumes de cette série en boucle. Et ! Mon père qui était également un grand fan étant gosse m’avait dit qu’il lui arrivait d’écrire ses propres histoires du Club des 5 à l’époque (Et il ne saura jamais que ce qu’il écrivait alors s’appelait de la fanfiction, haha !) eeet... je crois que ça m’a inspiré d’une façon ou d’une autre pour en écrire moi-même. Je ne me souviens pas de mon âge, par contre. J’étais jeune, mais... je ne me souviens même plus de ce qu’elles contenaient, en fait, juste qu’elles ont existé. (D’ailleurs, après ces essais à mon avis jamais terminés, il s’est passé un peu de temps avant que je ne me remette à la fanfiction.)

2) Pour quel fandom écrivez-vous / quel est votre fandom favoris si vous écrivez pour plusieurs fandoms ?

A l’heure actuelle, j’écris principalement sur Final Fantasy 7. Mais j’écris à côté sur Zelda, Klonoa ou encore Dir en Grey, sans que ce ne soit encore posté sur le net pour la plupart. Niveau favoris, Final Fantasy 7 est mon chouchou depuis à peu près toujours.

3) Préférez-vous écrire sur des OCs ou du reader inserts ? Expliquez votre choix.

OC ! Le reader insert, c’est vraiment un truc qui me fait fuir. Je comprends qu’on puisse apprécier, hein, qu’on ne se fasse pas de fausses idées, mais... ce n’est absolument pas mon truc.

Et pourquoi les OC ? Heu... parce que j’écris de l’original à côté, que j’ai donc l’habitude d’écrire sur des OCs et que c’est donc naturel pour moi d’en créer. Et puis, suivant le fandom, ou suivant l’époque (autre) à laquelle tu places ta fic, les OCs deviennent une nécessités. Parce que le casting est trop mince, parce qu’à ce moment-là, les persos du canon n’existaient pas encore, etc. etc.

4) Quel est votre genre favoris ?

Hooou la question difficile ! Je... aucune idée ! Vraiment ! Le tranche-de-vie, sans doute. Ou l’humoristique ou... le familial. Ça, ce dernier, c’est vraiment ma came. La fic familiale, c’est le top. Mais difficile de faire vraiment un choix définitif. Parce que ça dépend de mon humeur, du format, du fandom. On va dire que je les aime autant tous les trois.

5) Si vous aviez à choisir, quelle serait votre fic favorite parmi toutes vos fics à chapitres et pourquoi ?

Si je devais choisir seulement parmi ce qui est déjà posté, ce serait bien entendu Après la pluie. Parce que les Incarnés. Parce que ça me rend heureux que de permettre à ces trois-là de recevoir de l’amour. Parce que trop de scènes que j’aime et que j’ai hâte d’écrire.

Maintenant, si je devais choisir entre toutes mes fics, à venir ou déjà postées... hum ! Je pense qu’Après la pluie se disputerait la place avec Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare. Je crois même que je n’arriverais pas à les départager. Parce qu’elles mettent en scènes les Incarnés, mais dans des situations et avec une famille différente. Et... pfiooou, mais il y a autant de choses que j’aime dans l’une, comme dans l’autre, en fait. Et puis Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare se paye le luxe d’avoir le trio Sephiroth - Angeal - Genesis dans son casting, tandis que du côté d’Après la pluie, ce sont les Turks et Rufus qui sont à l’honneur. C’est d’ailleurs pour ça, haha, à mon avis que j’ai finalement pour projet d’écrire un Crossover sur les Incarnés de ces deux projets. x)

5.…being complimented.

Honestly it really depends on what he’s being complimented for! When it comes to things pertaining to his level of skill or work-ethic, he’s happy to accept the praise (and maybe a little smug, he puts a lot of pride into being efficient and good at things), though he certainly isn’t one to dwell on that or take credit for anything he didn’t accomplish. He’s pleased to have his efforts be acknowledged, and that’s about it.

Personal compliments though…those are hard. To be brief, if the compliment is superficial enough–maybe a passing remark on intelligence or being ‘cool’ or looking nice–that goes over fine. But anything past that, that implies some sort of virtue or worth on his part is either immediately cast aside with discomfort, with the excuse that whoever said that doesn’t know what they’re talking about because they hardly know him–

–or if the person DOES know him…sincere compliments are sometimes met with a surprising amount of distress. The unease doesn’t have a discernible source oftentimes, which can be really confusing to him, but I think a lot of it can be boiled down to a fear that he’ll prove those assertions wrong or let them down–or worse, let himself believe them, only to be left defenseless when if things come crashing down on him. 

6.…being alone.

Barring the tiny, lonely voice that’s been frantically buried under 3954 layers of stoicism, Kamakiri’s most content when he’s by himself. Being alone imbues him with a sense of security he doesn’t really have around others–no matter how much he trusts them. Depending on the verse, Kamakiri has either spent his entire childhood more or less alone, or, in modern, grown up both voluntarily isolated from his peers and left to fend for himself by his family. 

And sure, a lot of that time was miserable–but it’s…familiar. And even then, it isn’t as though being alone is unpleasant for him. He legitimately enjoys peace, quiet, and being left to his own devices. It’s just that if he isn’t dragged out of that calm, solitary place, it starts to become less of a refuge and more of a self-imposed prison. 

7.…meeting new people.

Oh thank god, I don’t have to get absurdly emo for this one. This is fairly verse dependent, as Kamakiri in canon trusts Absolutely No One except for the other Maniwa. Really if he meets someone new his only real motive is to get a read on them to see if they’re a feasible threat. That’s it. He’s not here to make FRIENDS.

In modern he’s…certainly not a social butterfly (insert Chouchou joke here), and I’d say to strangers he’s….polite, but pretty chilly and unwelcoming beyond quiet civility, and maybe if you’re lucky, some wry comments now and then if he’s in a good mood and you don’t strike him as someone it’d be a Mistake to talk to. Quite frankly, befriending Kamakiri is almost impossible unless a) you are freakishly persistent in talking to him b) fate somehow has you interacting on a constant basis or c) you befriend some of HIS friends and somehow get to know him through friend osmosis or smth. 

…Honestly even if he legitimately wants to get to know someone it’s hard because real talk? Under that veneer of sarcasm and composure, he’s…pretty awkward when he has to TRY.

Watched Boruto Ep 2

Was interesting. Iwabe was interesting and I’m pretty sure his “failed the graduation exam 2 times” was intentionally meant to remind you of Naruto (and reminded me of all the questions I have about the academy from early Naruto, but I won’t get into that now). Inojin is a lot more like Sai than he seemed in the chapter 700 epilogue. It’s not bad, but I’ll have to get used to it. The class rep Sumire is cute, but I don’t know enough about her yet to give an opinion on her character. Anko looks adorable with her new design and Chouchou continues to entertain me. I really want to know more about the gothic lolita character with the eye covering bangs. When Iwabe said about “the real one being in the back” reminded me of the Naruto vs Neji fight.

The more I watch this the more I sort of want to see what would happen if a young Naruto was inserted in, especially how the kids would react to this being how their Hokage was as a kid XD
