IT'S TIME FOR A NEW DEATH GENERATOR! With something between like two weeks and 6 years in the making, it's Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA! (2004).

This one required SO MUCH FUCKING WORK. Like, I've partially disassembled the game, patched out dozens of functions to change how it renders, had to use two different emulators (including porting functionality from one to the other), and ran the game (automatically) approximately two thousand times. And then to name the characters, I had my lovely wife @mrsfoone do a spreadsheet that listed them all and matched 'em up with the 241 faces in this silly, silly game.

Even if you've not played the game, this is a fun one to play with: There's all kinda of Final Fantasy and Disney characters in here.

Thinking about that part of a relationship where you really begin to trust someone. Eddie’s head is on your lap, your fingers tracing the lines on his hand as he opens up to you, rambling on and on. He’s never had someone listen to him like this and before you know it hours have passed. Hours of learning new things about him. Listening carefully. Adoring every second of his dramatic facial expressions as he tells you his stories. Some filled with joy. Some filled with heartache. Some making your eyes pool with tears as he touches on parts of his childhood before Wayne. And then you see his eyes light up and his familiar grin appear as he begins to talk about his Uncle. And how much hell he’s given him throughout the years. You run your fingers through his curls as he continues to share his adventures with you. Hanging on to his every word, making him feel safe and loved and heard.

Just to be clear, Kamala conceded with grace and dignity but it is still well within everyone’s right to demand an investigation and even a recount with due cause despite a winner being declared. U.S.Americans have the right to demand free and fair elections (we don’t have a right to, say, start an insurrection like certain people did after the 2020 election).

Many, including major swing states, (Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and more) have already admitted to data and ballots not being recognized or lost and are recounting or calling for a recount. It usually takes days to count and record votes, a day after a bunch of election tampering is not enough.

If you used a mail-in ballot and haven’t yet, check if it was actually counted and “recognized.” A lot of mail-in voters from swing states found out that their ballots were uncounted today.

Everything feels awful right now but it isn't really. We still don't officially have a winner, but regardless of how the presidential election ends up, I wanted to take a minute and find what lights I can in the 3 a.m. darkness. Here's what I know:

* Kentucky overwhelmingly rejected an attempt to undermine the public education system by offering private school vouchers:

* Delaware has elected a transgender woman to the House of Representatives, the first out trans person of any gender ever elected to congress:

* For the first time in history, two Black women will be serving in the senate at the same time, and they are only the fourth and fifth Black women ever elected to the senate:

* New York State has passed a constitutional amendment enshrining the rights of pregnant people (including the right to an abortion), LGBTQIA+ people, the disabled, immigrants regardless of legal status, and other at-risk groups:

* Democrat Josh Stein has beaten self-avowed Nazi Mark Robinson to become governor of North Carolina:

That's everything I know off the top of my head. It's not many bright spots, but it's not zero. I'm going to try to find more and I'll add them to the post. It's the only thing I can think of to do that isn't sobbing and throwing up or looking up Canadian immigration rules.
