What do you think about the costumes on the gilded age?

I haven't started S2, but I was pretty impressed! There's so many gowns that are just straight up recreations of historical garments. Kasia Walicka-Maimone is very talented and I'm so happy she's getting a big budget show like this.

There was a couple clunkers on Carrie as Bertha Russell, but I can let that go seeing as 1) she was a last minute casting change, and 2) she was 8 months pregnant when filming on S1 wrapped! Seriously, kudos to the costume team because there was only one moment where I was like 'yeah she's pregnant'. The red gown makes up for everything though lol.

Disaster Twins Karaoke Battle (alt title: Getting Hyped for the Next Lair Games)

These sketches are old, but I couldn't let National TMNT Day pass without showing my appreciation in some way. I drew these some months ago, while listening to the song Stalemate from the Death Note musical yes, that's a thing, go check it out on loop, and forgot to post them. The song is a bop and I could so easily see the twins loving it, and loving to perform it even more. Massive theatre nerds, the both of them, no one can convince me otherwise.

(In my mind, Leo is singing Jeremy's part and Donnie is singing Jarrod's, but it's interchangeable.)

people on iwtv twt play too much 😭. assad deserves every single award there is, and all the praises for his phenomenal performance in "Don't be afraid, just start the tape" (S2E5). what a gem of an actor, he really bodies the role and delivered mesmerizing scene after scene. the cadence, body language, facial expressions, and terrifying portrayal of an ancient vampire with unprocessed rage, contempt, and yearning all at once.

he will always be famous, and the episode will go down as one of the best on tv ever.

What are your thoughts on Hakurin in CCC? I found their interactions to be cute, especially since Rin is a little more open about her crush

HakuRin gets the same treatment as a lot of other Extra casts that return in CCC: more depth. Rin's more upfront about her feelings for Hakuno, even if they fly over her poor head, and we do get more scenes with her and Hakuno. I still remember the screenshots of her commenting how cute Hakuno is in the Extra outfit if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, HakuRin, along with HakuRani, basically gets cast to the side and forgotten in favor of the ship with Sakura, BB, the Alter-Egos, and Hakuno's servants. Rin even gets done more dirty during the True Route as there isn't even a final goodbye moment with her after Kiara betrays everyone, absorbs BB, and Sakura, tossing Hakuno back to the top of the stairs of the labyrinth leading back down into the core, and tossing Hakuno's servant to the edge of the universe within the Far Side. All we get is a few words with Rani as the last interactions we get with the Student Council. It's frustrating because they do all this work to establish Rin and Hakuno's relationship in both Extra and CCC, only to then disregard it in favor for putting Sakura in the limelight only for that to not even matter moving forward with Extella and Link. I wish CCC had an ending with not only Rin and Rani but also Julius and Leo, as both of them were suppose to have endings in Extra but they were cut from the game, instead of just having all of them be shoved to the side for Sakura, who didn't even have a specific ending in Extra.

Let Hakuno somehow breed with Rin, Nasu! We need HakuRin babus to be cannon.

everyone’s raving abt freddy’s performance this season, and i agree, he was no less than spectacular, however!! can we please please please talk about amita? first of all AMITA SUMAN i’m so in love w her i can’t. i just hope that for her the sun’s never too hot in the summer and the pillow is always cold and life generally delightful ily sm amita

second of all, my brain is currently stuck on the way inej takes kaz’s hand in the church scene in ep. 8. i don’t have the words to describe it but the way she takes and holds his gloved! hand so gently makes my heart go very soft and warm and fuzzy

sometimes i think about how the Duffer's said they had to take a shot with Noah when they cast him in s1 since he would have to carry s2. and how they knew he was good but still had to hope he was good enough to sell the possession plot later on

and then i wonder if they saw Noah star in the MV of LA Devotee just two months after the release of s1 and went "oh. yeah. we got this in the bag actually. this kid can absolutely act distressed and possessed"

because damn he actually didn't have to go that hard for it. Noah has some insanely scary talent for portraying the horrorsTM. that MV was seriously a warmup for s2, white clothes, electrodes, and horrifying possession/twitching/convulsing included, no wonder he freaked the adult actors on ST out his acting can be so scary (but it's seriously so funny how that came out right after s1 finished, literally THE biggest sign to the Duffer's that they cast correctly)
