Hey, I don’t want to cause any unnecessary panic, but everyone should know that Trump’s executive order banning trans healthcare for children also includes this:
[Link]
Every other line in this order involves the word “children”, this doesn’t. The language seems to be targeted at trans men, but there’s no way in hell they aren’t targeting trans women too. (if i see a single person tagging this as transandrophobia istg-)
If you’re looking to get any gender affirming surgery in the US I’d recommend prioritizing that over anything. More importantly though, don’t let this news destroy you. That’s what they want. Lots of Trump’s orders are being shot down by judges, and even if this one isn’t, there are multiple states with trans healthcare protections. Organize, and above everything else, stay alive.
#transgender#trans rights#transphobia#us politics#trans rights are human rights#american politics#<- just tagging for reach#this is usamerican specific

they gave the cheap coffee cart by the math building it’s own space in the new social studies building. so since the price raise last semester it is no longer cheap, a cart, or by the math building. now it’s just coffee.

you know something that's not as easily appreciated about the great ace attorney that nevertheless made it one of my favourite games of all time? that TGAA is a genuine, wholeheartedly earnest love letter to the sherlock holmes stories. TGAA feels like it was written by someone who loves those books, and who recognized their context as the formative pillar of the detective genre that they've represented over the course of more than a hundred years.
i know I've ribbed shu takumi for his writing, especially when it comes to thematic inconsistency, loose tackling of societal issues and female character writing, but if there is one thing i will always respect and look up to him for it's his expertise and respect and just... unbridled enjoyment of the genre he writes for. every single one of his works is a work of love, and more impressively the work of someone who studied, who took the mystery genre apart to find out why he loved it and how to make it tick. it's barefaced. it's shameless. and it knows its history. i will always respect that level of commitment to storytelling as an art form
