This historical reality places a profound obligation on those in the Global North who would seek to be in solidarity to seriously consider what strategies and tactics Palestinians are calling for in the struggle for liberation, sovereignty and safety.

Such calls to action do not include that we opine on Palestinians’ methods of resistance.

They do include that we understand the history and actuality of that resistance, do all we can to stop the ongoing provision of arms to the occupation, engage in boycott, divestment and sanctions, and fight back against the criminalization of those who support Palestine’s liberation from Zionist settler colonialism.

As Virginia Tech’s Bikrum Gill exhorted: 'Show no fear, no surrender, as you oppose those who support the US-Israeli genocide of Palestinians. Bring your institutions to crisis if their functioning requires silence or complicity.'"

thinking about butcher's weird relationship with nicknames. people that hold a particularly special place in his life get first named; becca, lenny, hughie, ryan.

then there are the others; kessler, starlight, MM, etc... and himself. we specifically see this with his hallucinations of becca & kessler. i notice becca refers to him almost exclusively as billy, while kessler refers to him as butcher. to me, this reads as billy separating the different sides of himself. "billy" is his perception of his own goodness, while "butcher" is everything else.

and then that train of thought gets me thinking on how homelander is really one of the only people to refer to him as 'william butcher.' he sees his depravity and his humanity all in one, he sees the ways his trauma has shaped him and still recognizes his inherently human nature. he might be one of the only people on earth who really sees him for how he is.

Inline Skating - Behind the Scenes

The idea was sketched out by the time I drew the original Inline Skates pic, but took my time finishing it. I wanted to draw the whole main crew for once. Composing several people and a background is so hard, I absolutely need to practice that 😅

the ORV comic adaption is so pretty. it's always hit me as the perfect style for the narrative, atmosphere, comedy. never once have I found myself disappointed with how something shown was adapted, most of the time it's better than how I imagined (Lee Hyunsung/Jung Heewon hug you will ALWAYS be famous).

I just know the bare basics now, because I work with software engineers all the time. It's like living in a foreign country for a year.

I think the most miserable writer experience is when I've written something in a haze of hyperfixation but then the fixation juice runs out before I finish the thing. this is however turned into the most delightful writer experience when some point later, maybe weeks, months or years down the line, I finally come back to the thing and manage to finish it, seeing where I've grown as a writer in the process <3

its so fun when u get the things u want, no, NEED for ur nonhumanity like cat ears to fulfill the phantom limb gap that's been aching in ur scalp for so long, a pair of cool wings to finally feel a glimpse of the REAL you. With me its skating, because speeding up at a car or standing at strong gushes of wind you get to feel all the breeze rush past ur skin like ur flying, every time i see skaters of any kind just cruise around and feel the winds i imagine myself skating because i seriously think it feels like ur flying the skies above, skating at such unreal speeds while feeling the breeze flow thru u is so close yet so far to actually flying, like you could just lift off and soar above the atmosphere while u see yourself watching your wings expand and catch the air with ease. i think about that a lot, which is why i've been wanting rollerblades for the longest not just for quick and easy transportation balancing a nice exercise, i want them to really FEEL like my kintypes, like the real me soaring thru the skies with ease
