Inktober, day 10, HOPE

I have a hard time ever not falling back into the Star Wars pit. Luke might just be one of my favorite characters all time, and that prompt fits him like a glove. They might have made him cynical and despondent in this third trilogy, but he’ll forever be associated with hope for me.

The reference for this drawing came from A New Hope, that fleeting moment in which he watches the last sunset in Tatooine before he embarks into the journey of his life. That singular moment is so full of hope and yearning that even decades after watching that movie that scene has stayed with me.
