Number 10 for the AU where Inko was crushing Izuku's hands. Good dad Endeavour having a very bad day when he and All Might are to preoccupied with the case to be there when a villain targets the Todorokis for revenge.
“A father’s weakness is always his children,” He says. “In - one way or another.”
(Sorry, i got halfway through the prompt before I read the second half of the ask, so its mostly just good dad endeavour and his son...)
Enji would have given anything to have his son safe at home with the rest of his family. He'd always tried so hard to protect his family from some of the real horrors of heroics - not kept them naive but blunted the horror into something closer to palatable. He'd tried, and then his son's best friend hadn't returned to school after the USJ incident. His son's best friend who was thin and sallow and scared of his quirk and every adult who looked at him, who tried to help his son get through his instinctual fear of his own fire (Touya's burns hadn't been his fault - he'd only been 5 -).
Then All Might had personally called him, teeth grit in a fury Enji had never heard from him before, asking him to come take Midoriya's mother into custody before he did something he couldn't take back.
Then he'd shown up to the scene - Midoriya's mother crying, an impressive bruise purpling her jaw, Eraserhead's hands on her bindings far too tight. He'd seen All Might, a red mess in his arms, and it had taken him one horror filled moment to realise that was Midoriya, god what had she done?
And now he stood, his son silent and twitchy at his side as they walked down the hospital corridor, hoping that Midoriya would break his week long, terrified silence at the sight of someone his age.
Enji would have given anything for that weight to be on someone other than his son, but these sorts of strings could only be pulled for heroes. He pressed a hand to Shouto's shoulder.
"You don't have to do this." he said quietly, stopping infront of Midoriya's room.
He could feel Shouto's shuddering breath under his palm.
"I do."

Imagine if Inko was a former hitman who worked for AFO 🤔
This is a fun idea because you know as soon as Izuku shows up in bandages all "hey mom so I miraculously developed a quirk in the middle of today's even exam" she is buying plane tickets and setting up new ids, she is not staying one more night there if AfO found her son and is taking revenge for her not properly filing a two weeks notice. Izuku is told they have to leave right now to go see Dad in the states, Inko sends one tip to All Might that AfO is apparently back and then breaks the phones.
All Might suddenly hears AfO is back and he can't reach his successor anywhere and so naturally assumes AfO kidnapped him. Inko explains some things to Izuku once they land in New York ("I thought Dad worked in California..." / "oh, yeah, no we're not seeing Hisashi."), and he's half trying to reach All Might and figure out a way to still hero while being interested despite himself in what his mom offers to teach him and use it to still hero people anyway...

LiSyK: The Selection
Fandom: My Hero Academia, Warnings: Prince!Bakugo, Suggestive. Word Count: 1.6k.
Summary: Closing in on his 20th name day, tradition dictates that Prince Bakugo choose his first concubines.
A/N: This might become a series, but don't hold your breath.
Tumblr media
'I don't want a fucking -.'
Grabbing her son by the cheeks, Mitsuki Bakugo fixes the young prince still with a cold stare. 'You will do as you're told.'
'But -'
'It is tradition, Katsuki. Not even your ego is large enough to put an end to that.' She smirks before releasing her hold and wipes a hand on the left hip of her dress. 'Now, come on... You're late.'
Huffing, Bakugo tugs at his shirt to smooth the wrinkles left by his mother, but follows on her heels obediently. Usually, he'd put up more of a fight, throw a proper tantrum, but the pit of curiosity growing in his stomach stops him making too much fuss. He's fucking human, after all. Of course, he's going to be at least a little interested in the collection of concubines that had been assembled specifically for his perusal.
That didn't mean he had any intention of choosing any of them, though.
The doors of the main hall seem more daunting than usual, but Bakugo hides his trepidation well.
Or so he thinks.
Mitsuki's hand touches softly on his shoulder, guiding him, not through the main hall, but down the corridor. She offers out her elbow, letting him cling to her as they continue to drift closer to a small, more intimate, service room.
The marble clicks under their shoes, the sound amplified endlessly as it rings behind them announcing their arrival. Large windows scatter light, bringing out the red in both Bakugo and his mother's eyes as they pass the selection of special guards already stationed outside the room. All seven of them, five sworn to his mother and two to him, are dressed from head to toe in royal finery with the lightest of chain mail glittering over their chests. Swords hang from their hips, but Bakugo knows there are much more deadly weapons hidden under their clothes and tucked away from prying eyes.
Captain Aizawa, one of Mitsuki's most trusted knights bows low when they reach the door.
Reaching out, Mitsuki presses a hand to his shoulder and pushes him straight again. 'Enough of that, you'll put your back out.'
Aizawa's mouth moves to argue, but Mitsuki doesn't allow his voice to summon a sound.
'Shouta, you have more than earned the right not to bow.' She chides in a way that makes goose-flesh break out on the other guards, but the Captain simply laughs.
'Is the prince ready, My Lady?'
Mitsuki's hand wraps around her son's bicep giving him a firm squeeze. 'Oh, you know him. Dragged here kicking and screaming.'
Bakugo scowls.
'But, I'm sure he'll manage.'
Another guard, tall and broad in the shoulders with a close crop of dark hair and a booming voice clears his throat. 'If I may speak out of turn, Captain?'
'You will not Yoarashi.'
Mitsuki waves him off. 'Oh, let the boy speak Shouta.'
The guard, Yoarashi, smiles. His teeth are too big for his mouth, but somehow there's still something strikingly handsome about him. Bakugo hates it. 'The consorts have outdone themselves this time, I've never seen a more stunning array of -.'
Captain Aizawa silences his guard with a raised hand. 'That's quiet enough, I think the Queen understands your sentiment.'
'Quite.' Mitsuki smiles, locking a chuckle behind her teeth. 'Speaking of the wonderful job my husbands consort has done, I think it's time to see what Inko has found for us, don't you, Katsuki?'
Bakugo nods, it's all he ca manage with the nerves threatening to make his knees wobble like some common whore. His jaw is tight, teeth clenched in his mouth, but it soon looses as he the doors are thrown wide and he's allowed to step into the room.
Inside the room is dark, the thick red curtains covering the windows putting an end to any natural light that should attempt to slink inside. Instead, the room is illuminated by a series of high torches that cast a godly glow about and perfectly highlighting the row of people stood across the centre of the room.
At once, Inko is upon them. She wraps chubby arms around Bakugo without a second thought and greets his mother with a warm kiss to her hand when offered. Following at her heel is Izuku, her darling son. 'Brother.' Izuku smiles.
'Half Brother.' Bakugo spits the former piece of his sentence, enjoying the way it feels between his lips – the distance it offers him from the man before him. They're the same age. Both Mitsuki and Inko had been pregnant at the same time and the boys born mere months apart, although Inko had done the chief portion of the nursing; especially when Mitsuki's milk had dried up. Something that had lead both women to an unlikely friendship.
'I heard you've outdone yourself this time.' Mitsuki pulls at Bakugo, steering him around to the front of the room.
Bakugo's eyes wonder. There's a conversation flowing in the air around him, but he pays no heed. How can he, when the most beautiful man he has ever laid eyes on is looking directly at him.
The man lifts his head. He is bare to the waist with only the smallest piece of cloth to cover his dignity. If Bakugo where to walk around him, which he just might, he'd bet he'd be able to see his ass in all it's glory.
He has red eyes, violent carnelian, that pierce right to Bakugo's soul and red hair that is tied neatly in a bun atop his head. Licking his lips when he catches the princes' eye, the man smiles, flashing a row of blade-like teeth that threaten to bring Bakugo to his knees.
'Did you hear?' Mitsuki pats Bakugo's lapel.
He didn't, but he nods anyway.
His eyes slip further down the line, silently comparing each concubine to the next, but no-one compares to the red-eyed man until his eyes are blessed by you.
You're near the end, stood beside two others that don't even come close to your beauty with your chin tilted to the floor and your hands clasped neatly before you. Like the others, you're dressed in almost nothing, but it's the bright red 'V' painted onto your skin across the top of your breast bone that has him pausing.
He's seen the mark before and a cursory glance back down the line tells him exactly where. The red head, amongst two or three others, also bare the mark.
Bakugo swallows.
Already he can feel his breeches tightening uncomfortably.
'How many?' He snaps, forcing his eyes from the line and onto Inko.
She blinks. 'Pardon?'
'How many... For my... For my harem?'
'Oh. Most choose at least six to begin with, but after that is custom to add another concubine for each year until you reach 29. Sometimes other kingdoms will offer then as gifts, but you're more than welcome to dismiss -.'
Bakugo raises his hand. 'I don't want a history lesson.'
'Oh, I -.' Inko blushes.
'Brat, watch your tongue...' Mitsuki raises her hand to crack him across the back of the head, but the prince side steps her assault easily.
'I want that one...' He points at you, eyes narrowed and hungry before he turns, pointing at the red haired man at the other end of the room. 'And him. That's all.'
Mitsuki's brow furrows. 'Two? Inko here scourers the kingdom for the finest it had to offer and you choose only two?'
Bakugo folds his arms. He can feel your eyes, the red-heads too, burning through his skin. It makes him hot, makes him wonder what it'll be like when your eyes grow heavy, when they're spotted with ears and your mouths are full of his tongue, his fingers, his cock.
Clearing his throat, he tries to readjust his breeches.
He won't have to imagine soon. No, soon, you'll be his.
'Have them brought to my rooms tomorrow.' Turning on his heel he shouts over his shoulder before storming from the room before his cock begins to soak into his breeches.
Tomorrow, he thinks as soon as the doors slam shit behind him.
That should give him enough time to fist himself stupid to the thought of red eyes and glittering skin.
Hopefully, that would stop him making a fool of himself at the first meeting.
Tumblr media
Bakugo already looks bored when you're brought into his rooms at noon the following day. The door closes behind you, a guard having performed the customary introductions, and all too quickly you're swallowed by the nerves that climb up your body and twist around your lungs.
Adjusting his seat, Bakugo pulls a foot up onto his chair and spreads his knees. A bark leaves his chest that he hopes is harsher than it feels. 'I don't fuck virgins...'
You hear the wet click of Kirishima's throat from beside you in the silence of the room. Even though the red ink is gone, the fact of your both being intact remains the same. 'Uhm, my lord... I mean – Prince Bakugo, I'm... I think there's been some mistake, we're – we're both -.'
'I know.' He waves his hand. Anticipation creates pins and needles in his thighs. Even if he wanted to fuck right now, he's not sure his body would hold out long enough. Maybe, five orgasms in the space of a day was too much.
'Well, you can see how this might be a problem then...' Twisting his knuckles around each other, Kirishima chews at his lip and forces a weak smile. It's strange how he makes six-foot of man look almost as small as you are, but he does it easily and blushes pretty to boot.
'How -.' He clears his throat. 'How are we supposed to serve you if -.'
'You're going to fuck each other, first.' He arches an eyebrow, drawling as if the solution to his little problem has been more than obvious. A smirk curls his lip. 'I'll watch.'

A fluffy little oneshot on Izuku x reader, where he’s just crushing on his best friend?
Lil bro I gottchu
(Hope you don't mind, but I did him as a teenager still)
This is pretty bad reading over it ngl but I can't find the right way to write it???
Enjoy at your own risk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Today, they had finished Uraraka's strawberry cake so it wouldn't go to waste." The green-haired boy mutters to himself as he furiously scribbles in his notebook. Izuku had found himself writing more about you everyday. Anything and everything you did interested him, even if it was the simplest thing you did.
He first excused it as nothing, he was just writing down everything you did because it would probably strength the bond you two had!
It wasn't until his mother found his open notebook that the realized be might be in love with you.
"Izuku!" Inko had said, her voice slightly panicked. "Why are you stalking this person?" She asks, holding up the notebook in confusion and worry. "I know you're a teenage boy, and you are going through some changes, but-"
Izuku blushes intensely, grabbing the notebook and holding it close to him. "Mom! No, its not like that!" He stammers, face now a heavy red. "They're just beautiful and sweet and amazing and-" He pauses, seeing the look on his mom's face. "...oh..." He mutters to himself, understanding that his feelings for you weren't platonic.
So here he was. You and the Dekucrew all went out to the mall, and had stopped at the food court to eat. Izuku scribbled down everything you did in intense detail.
Uraraka gasps. "Tsu, look! That dress is so cute! Uraraka says excitedly, shaking her friend. Asui perks up, looking at the mushroom patterned dress. "It is! Lets go check it out." She replies, taking her hand and walking towards the dress.
"Stay in groups!" Iida calls after them as he jogs to catch up with the two girls.
Izuku looks up at this, realizing that you and him were left alone, since Todoroki and Tokoyomi went to go find some food a little bit ago already.
Izuku turns red as you make eye contact with him, his palms beginning to sweat and his heart pounding in his chest.
"So, you good?" You ask, raising an eyebrow. "You've been distant the whole day." You say, genuine concern seeping into your voice. You lean closer, trying to get a read on whatevers' inside his head.
Izuku gulps and looks away, using his arms and hands to cover his face. "Yep! I'm good! Just a little...overwhelmed! By all the people here!" He laughs nervously, not daring to make eye contact with you.
You only become more concerned as you place a hand on his arm. "Hey, we can go back to U.A if this is to much for you." Your soft voice makes Izuku blush even more, his hands trembling slightly.
"No! No, I'm okay!" Izuku quickly says, standing up and stepping back. "Hey, just stay here for a sec! I gotta go find Todoroki and Tokoyomi!" He says, needing an excuse to calm himself down.
You seem slightly disappointed, and this makes his heart ache. "Right. Okay." You say quietly, placing your chin on your palm.
Izuku feels terrible for making you dissapointed. No! That wasn't his goal at all! He wants to see you happy, this isn't happy!
Izuku decides to give you a hug as an attempt to make you feel better, but when he does, he just freezes. He can't let go of the hug. He NEEDS to hold you close forever, he needs to just...stay like this. In your arms, where nothing bad could happen.
Izuku hides his face in your shoulder, his body trembling slightly as he realizes how badly he loves you.
Izuku Midoriya had a crush on his bestfriend.
(This is kinda shitty anon if you hate it you can be honest🙏🙏 love u)

Things baby Bakugou did as a child (source: I was there)
— proposed to Izuku with dandelion roots, and always let him make the first wishes. Proceeded to introduce himself as his husband for the next two years.
— Hid all of Maseru’s socks and mixed them, forcing his dad to walk around with mismatched pairs.
— wrote all his little recipes by hand, in red crayola, in a little organizer like a grandma. The ones for Izuku, he keeps in a special notebook.
—‘Meals when Deku’s sad’ ‘Meals when he makes me happy’ ‘meals when he makes me FUKIN MAD—‘
— the last one is just rocks.
— learned how to tie his shoe when he was 3 but pretends he doesn’t know so Izuku would tie it for him. It has to be a bunny knot, or else it’ll feel wrong.
— Built a treehouse all by himself (read: asked his mom for one) That way he and Izuku could play all day everyday. The fun part was climbing. The hard part was getting themdown.
— Bakugou, that is; Izuku’s the one who has to convince him he’ll be back.
—Yes, he loved playing today. He loves playing everyday. No, he hasn’t made a new best friend. No, Kacchan, you don’t have to pay me to be your friend. Yes, I would love you if you were quirkless.
— clingy baby bakugou oh how i love you
— He can do everything except climb trees. He can’t fucking climb and there’s CATS in TREES and he can’t SAVE them by HIMSELF.
—So he’d always call Izuku to do it because the little bastard can climb like it’s no one’s business.
— SUUUCH an overprotective little fucker, oh my god. Baby Izuku was a god damn menace and he’s get himself stuck in the most absurd scenarios ever just to play hero.
— Gave baby Bakugou gray hairs, do NOT run into traffic just to walk some stray puppies on the other side. Don’t play with the older kids either! Do you even have a bandaid kit on you?! He’s calling Inko!
— When he and Izuku stop being friends, he secretly fills Izuku’s cubby with all kinds of sweet sour treats. He likes lime and sour cherry and all bitter things. Bakugou hates them. He spends his allowence on them for years.
— Same goes for All Might merch. He thinks Jeanist is cooler, but Izuku never had refined tastes.

This scene, this scene drives me insane on reread.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukauchi KNEW- He ABSOLUTELY KNEW what would happen. He's been friends with Toshinori for 6 years. He is the first personal friend Toshinori makes after recieving his injuries. Of course he knows Toshinori. Of course he went in to talk with Stain before Toshinori. And Stain is anything but subtle so there's no question about what was said there...
Everyone else we see who tries to reach out to Toshinori all say the same thing. Just Live. Be good. Be you. That's enough. Inko, Sir Nigheye, Aizawa. They're trying to get him to live. Which is all well and good, but none of it is what Toshinori wants to hear.
NAOMASA NO DOUBT KNOWS THAT
But Stain- what Stain says isn't a mere "take care of yourself and live" it's "continue to do what makes you-you, and don't let anything stop you. FUCKING CRAWL IF YOU HAVE TO."
THAT. THAT IS WHAT TOSHINORI WANTS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
JUST LOOK AT THIS MAN. THIS. THIS IS WHAT MAKES HIM FEEL ALIVE. Look at how happy he is through all of this, he's completely unhinged and he's loving it.
Stain approved him doing this shit. And that, THAT is what gives Toshinori the motivation to keep going.
Tumblr media
WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY TSUKAUCHI DIDN'T WANT THEM TO MEET! Because all it took, was one interaction. Toshinori found his will to live, he found the means to feel again. But that also means, Toshinori is going to be recklessly driven by his own conviction, regardless of how bad it is for him - and NOBODY will be able to convince him that "just living is enough".
Because Stain told him to keep going without regard for set backs, go until dead. Because that is who All Might is. And that is why Stain loves him so freakin' much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(this is not the face of a guy shocked by the letter. This is the face of guy going "oh. shit. i tried to prevent this." Sorry Tsukauchi... the soulmates united.)

Splitting Image - 01
Warnings: None
As Y/n trudged toward her new home, she couldn't help but feel both exhausted and elated. She had finally landed a job, and everything seemed to be falling into place according to her plan. She knew that this was a crucial step towards achieving the closure her family had been urging her to seek for so long. Although she acknowledged that the journey wasn't easy, she was confident that it was the right decision and that it was all for the greater good.
As she imagined herself being secluded in a place far from her home, a sudden sense of melancholy enveloped her. Despite this, she realized that it was a necessary step to take. Her determination to show to everyone that she was doing well was the driving force behind her decision.
As she lets out a quiet sigh, she begins to make her way toward the stairs. The steps seem to be waiting for her, taunting her with the knowledge that she must endure them despite the tiredness in her legs.
Frustration takes hold of her, and she mutters softly to herself, "Can't they just install an elevator here?" Her scowl deepens as she feels the discomfort in her legs growing.
Just then, a voice interrupts her thoughts. It's unfamiliar, and it startles her causing her to turn around abruptly, almost losing her footing on the stairs.
“Ah!-”
"Got you," a soothing, male voice chuckled as he successfully caught her in his arms. Y/n's heart raced as she realized someone was holding her, and before she could react, the man spoke again. "I'm sorry for frightening you. I didn't mean to do that."
As Y/n looked up, she found herself face-to-face with the number one hero, Deku. She couldn't believe it. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she pushed herself away from his arms. "Deku?!" Y/n exclaimed, her voice betraying her shock. "I'm so sorry!" She bowed, apologizing for her clumsiness.
"A-ah, no! I should be the one apologizing! I'm sorry!" Deku said, his voice kind and gentle. As he bent down to apologize, he accidentally hit his head on hers, causing Y/n to fall on her behind due to the impact.
Y/n couldn't help but yelp in pain. She clutched her head, feeling the throbbing pain. She didn't know which pain to focus on, now that both her head and behind were hurting. She looked up at Deku, who was distressed. "I-I'm so sorry!!!!" he said, his eyes filled with concern.
Y/n noticed that he was about to bow down again and panicked, immediately stopping him. "N-no need! It's okay! No need to apologize!" Her outburst surprised Deku, who looked at her with a mix of confusion and relief.
He couldn't hide his worried face when he saw her clutching her head in pain from the collision. "I h-hope it didn't hurt too much.." Deku sweatdropped, offering Y/n his hand.
Y/n, without hesitation, accepted his hand. She felt him slightly pull her up, helping her to stand. She looked up at him, feeling grateful for his kindness. "Don't worry. Haha. I'm fine, I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle." Y/n chuckled. "I just wasn't expecting to see the number one hero around this neighborhood."
Deku smiled, finally letting go of Y/n's hand, saying, "Oh, haha, well, I used to live here."
Y/n suddenly remembered Inko mentioning her son, realizing that he must be visiting her. "Oh, right. I live right next to your mother. I'm new here," she replied.
Deku was surprised after hearing this from Y/n, saying, "That's why your face isn't familiar. Haha. And you know my mother?"
Y/n nodded, saying, "Yes, she was talking about you while accompanying me to this bakery. Let's go. Your mother must be waiting for you." She motioned Deku to walk with her on their way.
As they walked, memories flooded Deku's mind, remembering how Inko took great care of him. He sighed and said, "She's really caring."
Y/n chuckled, saying, "She even told me how I reminded her of you. Apparently, she finds my clumsiness adorable," as they continued walking.
Upon reaching their destination, Y/n was about to bid Deku good night when he suddenly pulled her along with him as he entered his old home, yelling, "Tadaima!"
Inko beamed and almost ran toward Deku, giving him a tight hug. After letting go, she held his face close, inspecting for any injuries. "Are you okay? Have you been eating? Are you taking care of yourself? I missed you!" Inko couldn't help but cry.
Deku couldn't hold his tears back and cried, saying, "M-mom."
Y/n stood dumbfoundedly beside them, finding it sweet but a bit awkward.
After the short scene, Inko finally noticed Y/n standing awkwardly in the corner and wiped her tears away. But before Y/n could say anything, Inko screamed, making both adults panic.
"What is it?" Deku asked, worried.
"I-inko?" Y/n asked, confused.
But Inko continued screaming and slowly turned her head to Deku. "Y-y/n?! Y-your g-girlfriend??!!!"
Y/n and Deku's faces turned red as a tomato, and they both animatedly denied her question.
--
Y/n had been nervously repeating the same sentence for the past few minutes, "You didn't have to invite me over." She had arrived at the Midoriyas' place and was asked to sit down on their comfortable-looking couch. Despite her protests, they insisted on having her over for dinner. Y/n even offered to help them, but they quickly shut down the idea. The warm aroma of dinner cooking in the kitchen filled the air, making her stomach grumble. She couldn't help but feel grateful for the Midoriyas' kindness, but at the same time, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being an inconvenience.
"We insist, Y/n! By the way, I've been thinking about your interview today. How did it go?" Inko asked, her warm smile lighting up the kitchen as she deftly diced vegetables for dinner.
Deku, who had been sitting at the dining table chatting with his mother, looked up, his eyes shining with curiosity. "Interview? She had an interview?" he asked, his interest piqued. As he helped her mother with the ingredients, he listened eagerly to her response. "How did it go?"
Y/n took a moment to gather her thoughts before describing her experience at the agency. "The atmosphere was welcoming and the employees were a delight," she began. "Their friendliness was almost infectious, with smiles on every face and a genuine eagerness to help." Y/n couldn't help but giggle as she recalled their cheerful demeanor, which made her feel comfortable and at ease.
Inko peered at you with curiosity as she turned her head and inquired, "Did you get the position you were applying for?" As she noticed the slight curve of your lips, she remarked, "I see that smile."
You suddenly realized you were lost in thought and replied with a hint of embarrassment, "Yes, I got it. Haha."
Inko enthusiastically clapped her hands together and walked over to embrace you. "Congratulations, Y/n! You did it!" she exclaimed with a smile. "We should definitely celebrate this wonderful achievement of yours!"
Feeling a little overwhelmed, Y/n stuttered nervously, "A-ah! N-no! It's no big deal! I mean, I just did what I need to do."
Deku's face lit up with excitement as he stood up from his seat and fished his phone out of his pocket. "I'll order us takeouts from your favorite restaurant and maybe even a cake to celebrate properly. Is there anything specific you want, uh?"
Y/n realized she hadn't even introduced herself to Deku and yet she's getting this treatment. "Y-Y/n L/n. J-just call me Y/n.."
Izuku chuckled nervously as he introduced himself to her. "Right. Haha. I'm Izuku Midoriya, my hero's name is Deku," he said smiling.
His mother, Inko, pouted at him. "Eh? You didn't even introduce yourself to her, Izuku," she said, disappointed.
Realizing his mistake, Izuku apologized, "I'm sorry, Mom. Haha. We engaged in a conversation earlier, and I forgot to introduce myself."
Silence engulfed the room before Izuku decided to break it. "So, what about food?" he asked, sweatdropping.
--
Once the short celebration ended, Y/n, of course, thanked the Midoriyas before finally leaving. She couldn't believe they bothered to celebrate her small achievement. She finds herself lucky in a way.
They almost made her feel at home...
But Y/n doesn't want to overstay since she doesn't want to trouble Deku, spending time with his mother after his hero duties. He probably went out early on his patrol to visit his mother, and to see how she was doing since he's been away.
Y/n fumbled for her keys while holding a small, paper bag clutched in her hand, a silent testament to the Midoriyas' unexpected kindness.
Inside her apartment, the usual solitude was a heavy blanket. She placed the bag on the kitchen counter, its contents a mystery for later. A wave of loneliness threatened to engulf her, but she fought it back with a practiced detachment. Tonight, she would not be a victim to melancholy.
The bathroom became her sanctuary. The warmth of the water promised to wash away the day's emotional dirt. The steam misted the mirror, creating an ethereal barrier between her and the world outside. She let the rushing water drown out the persistent echo of her thoughts.
Emerging from the bathroom, wrapped in a soft towel, Y/n felt a renewed sense of calm. The apartment, though still empty, no longer seemed so desolate. She placed the food in the refrigerator, a simple act that grounded her in the present.
With a deep breath, she climbed into bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. Sleep was a welcome escape, a temporary reprieve from the solitude that often felt like a constant companion. As darkness enveloped her, she focused on the rhythmic sound of her own breathing, a steady counterpoint to the quietude of the night.
--
Tomorrow was a new day, and with it, a fresh start. For now, she would let sleep carry her away from the loneliness, if only for a few hours.

It's way too late for an update. But here you go haha.

I don't need to, but I'll explain my Bakugou hate because I want to.
Long post. Beware
When I started reading the series I was the same age as the characters. Looking at my interests you can probably guess that I was bullied, but instead of getting all sad, I got angry at the people treating me poorly.
So as soon as Bakugou was introduced, I didn't like him. Seeing someone my age verbally threaten and physically attacking people without being punished just really put me in a bad mood whenever he showed up.
Then certain parts of the fandom got incredibly toxic, and suddenly the author is pandering to the worst of them
But the problem keeps getting worse. The entire world warps to kiss his ass. He got everything he wanted at every turn. He deserved nothing and got everything.
Immediately established as a long-term bully. His bullying is then retroactively justified by the world itself saying that Midoriya is worth less than Bakugou as a person.
Why did Aizawa, who was famous for expelling students, not so much as give Bakugou detention for trying to attack Midoriya on the first day of school?
Why didn't All Might punish him for using that gauntlet in the Battle Trials?
Despite all of his actions so far, just since being accepted into UA, the other students still want to be friends with him. They actively choose to spend time near him.
Why is it never mentioned how him(and Kirishima) attacking Kurogiri and getting in Thirteen's way is a large part of why the USJ played out how it did?
His speech at the Sports Festival
Everyone wanting to be on his team, but he doesn't know any of their names or quirks.
Trying to make an unconscious Todoroki fight back in the finals
Aizawa constantly excusing all of his behavior, circling back to my point about the world itself justifying Bakugou's shitty behavior
Attacking Midoriya in the Final Exam.
How did Sero fail his exam by being carried out but Bakugou passed?
At the Training Camp, he actively tried to go fight the villains that have openly stated were trying to capture him. Making himself an easy target and hindering the people trying to protect him
During the Rescue Operation he somehow managed to hold his own against the majority of the League of Villains on his own? Really?
He forced Midoriya to break curfew and just starts attacking him until Midoriya fights back. It's caught on camera and Midoriya somehow gets in the same amount of trouble?
And for some reason he gets let in on the secret of One for All after being such a monumental asshole since forever, despite the fact that even Inko doesn't know? Or literally anyone who would be, like, supportive of Midoriya?
He failed the Provisional License Exam, but don't worry there's a special make-up class just for the people that made it into the second half. Everyone who failed in the first half will have to wait for the next exam.
Oh wow, flawless victory in the Joint Training Arc by displaying teamwork out of thin fucking air that was really just him barking orders at the others.
For a while we just get his usual brand of egotistical asshole-ery and now being needlessly shoved into places where Midoriya's actual friends should be. Or even any of the other side characters. Horikoshi, give them some screen time
But then the war arc and the vigilante Deku arc all just get down on their knees to suck his dick so hard that his quirk evolves and his heart explodes. And I finally get a glimmer of hope for the series to finally stop shoving him down our throats, but no.
Edgeshot decides that this one kid is so important that he will sacrifice his own life to save Bakugou specifically and no one else is on his level of importance.
Going back a step; That apology was pure fucking lip service. Not a single goddamn thing changed in the way he acted afterward. He had a couple of "soft" moments when he wasn't actively screaming and cursing, but that's it.
And Horikoshi keeps fucking doing it.
Somehow each and every thing has to include Bakugou or be about how it's effecting Bakugou or has to mention Bakugou.
The majority of the (much more interesting) cast has been completely forgotten, and Midoriya's characterization got taken out back, given three rounds to the head, skinned, washed in bleach, and hung out to dry, but Oh Wow! BAKUGOU'S HERE!
I said it before and I'll say it again, I'd throw a brick at him.
These are only the broadest strokes of what happened too. If I reread the entire series I could write a massive in-depth character analysis, but that's too much even for me.

❀ Izuku loves to show how grateful he is to have you as a partner. You are kind and compassionate and just amazing. He loves everything about you and does his best to show you that. He buys you flowers regularly, takes you on dates as much as he can (with his busy schedule), and tries to show you he appreciates you.
❀ Although he has a very busy life as a pro hero he makes time for you. Quick lunches in between rescues and the occasional time he takes a day off go spend it with you. Whenever he takes the day off he loves to make you dinner.
❀ He knows he wanted to marry you almost right into dating. You are so perfect ans you make him feel the best he could be. Why wouldn't he choose to spend the rest of his life with you?
❀ surprisingly or not, izuku prefers keeping your relationship details pretty private. Like he doesn't hide you from the public but he does keep them from giving you all invasive questions. Anyway, I think he proposed over a fancy dinner he cooked at home. Popping open the wine, pulling out the candles, y'know the works.
"Oh wow," you said, walking into the very fancy dinner Izuku had made for the both of you. You tried thinking back to if this was a special occasion but you could not figure out what it could possibly be.
"Zu, what's all this for?" You asked, looking at him with grateful confusion. He was so kind to you and you had no idea what you did to earn such a man. He smiles and sits you down, telling you to enjoy dinner and he'd explain later.
So the both of you ate dinner with easy conversation, just like any sort of date you'd go on. After dinner you opened your mouth to ask what had been bugging you all evening when he knelt in front of you.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, his freckled face the most adorable pink color. He looked like the high schooler you met all those years ago, nervous but so strong.
"Yes, yes! I would love to marry you!" You answered, a few tears breaking free from your overwhelming amounts of emotion. He grinned, putting the ring on your finger before wrapping his arms around your waist and twirling you around.
❀ you guys had a relatively simple wedding. Full of family and close friends (not to mention the stray reporters who somehow snuck in.) Your classmates and teachers from UA even managed to come which was lucky.
❀ i think you guys honeymooned in like Italy or something. Izuku would have asked for America though lol
❀ I would think about a year into marriage you start to talk about kids. Izuku has always wanted kids and especially wants them with you so of course he brings up the conversation. He has enough money as a top pro hero to support any decisions including if you chose to continue working rather than being a stay at home mom.
❀ he is so happy when you tell him you are pregnant with a baby girl. After celebrating with you he immediately calls his mom to tell her the good news, which she was also excited for. Inko definitely came to your place later that day with fresh cookies for her son and his gorgeous wife. Inko loves you like you were her own daughter.
❀ The pregnancy goes smoothly and you gave birth to an adorable little girl, named Zuri. (Both her and Izuku's nicknames are Zu). She was perfect and sweet.
❀ Izuku tries to spend as much time with his family as he can. He take days off and makes sure you and Zuri feel as loved as possible.
❀ When Zuri was four years old she asked for a baby brother which you and Izuku were more than happy to oblige. Thus comes your son, Mikumo (nicknamed Mikey)
❀ you guys are honestly the cutest family. You are literally the model family for all of Japan. You guys are on the cover of some sort of magazine or something.

SOMETHING IN THE WATER | 4 | SHOUTO x READER
SUMMARY: As a future marine biologist, you’ve scored big on your final internship: a summer in the tropics, researching the waters off the coast of a lush, sunny island. But what you thought would be all beach days and piña coladas turns out to be the revelation of a lifetime when you haul in a handsome merprince, and discover not everything in these waters is quite as it seems. TAGS/WARNINGS: mermaid au, interspecies relationships, mating rituals/courting behavior, (sort of) case fic, aged up characters, eventual smut, fem pronouns/afab reader LENGTH: 3.3k of est. 21k, 4th of 8 chapters
The next morning dawned with the news that Sunfish had finally settled on a day your team could tour the facilities.
“They did not seem pleased,” Death Arms reported over your morning coffee, his mouth a grim line. The group of you were stuffed up in his room, working through the several plates of homemade breakfast that Inko had blessed you with. Yu rolled her eyes even as she speared egg off of Kamui’s plate. Kamui looked resigned to this behavior.
“They should be honored, we're here to potentially clear their name,” Yu sniffed, then hummed appreciatively as she swallowed. “Wow, Inko knows what she’s about. Is there crack in these eggs?”
“I wouldn’t know, I haven’t been able to taste anything off my own plate,” Kamui returned, sipping at his coffee instead.
Yu’s mouth opened to respond to him, but Death Arms quickly spoke over whatever quip might have fallen out of it.
“Anyway, we’re going next Thursday afternoon,” he said loudly. You smiled into your own food at Yu’s disgruntled expression. “If we haven’t found anything by then, and everything looks in order at Sunfish, I think we can safely assume the initial reports were fabricated. We will issue a reminder that they are not to overfish as populations are just slightly smaller than we would expect, but it seems there’s no real issue to address.”
An unsettled feeling twisted in your stomach.
You didn’t know quite what it was, considering that you hadn’t actually found anything persuasive of Sunfish’s guilt. But something sat heavy in your gut, the memory of both Bakugou and Shouto expressing dislike of the cannery. Neither had said anything to you about wastewater pollution, but you remembered the bioelectric scrape of dislike in Shouto’s words when he spoke, how you could literally feel it at the back of your throat.
Maybe it was just a gut feeling on both of their parts. But gut feelings usually were formed out of something. You didn’t want to leave things here just yet.
The crew finished up breakfast and you set about your usual tasks, running errands between all the researchers, double-checking counts, compiling results, and going glassy-eyed in front of observation station footage.
It was only later in the afternoon that you were unleashed back onto the water with Yu and Kamui, boating out to check all the nets and the occasional trap. Kamui frowned over a couple of the specimens you’d caught, but eventually judged that they looked mostly okay, and tagged them to release.
You were on the north side, penning down the observations Kamui occasionally called back to you, when you heard the sluicing sound of something breaking the surface of the water a few feet behind you.
You glanced over your shoulder—only for an ice cold stab of panic to puncture your gut.
Shouto was floating a couple of meters away, looking curiously towards your boat. From his angle, you could tell he was definitely registering Kamui and Yu onboard with you, and you could just see the tiniest little tilt of his head, a blinking of those two-toned eyes.
Oh no.
He wasn’t considering swimming over, was he?
Yu and Kamui probably could be trusted to keep the secret, if they caught sight of him, but they were also marine biologists—and Shouto was a discovery that could make an entire career.
Even if they were to never say anything, though, the more people who knew about him, the more chance there was of that information escaping them. You could just imagine Yu giddily reliving her discovery several cups into a bottle of sake, and that wasn’t nothing if a marine biologist was claiming it, drunk or not.
As if on cue, Shouto swam closer, and you dropped the log book like a hot potato, frantically flapping your arms at him not to come any nearer.
He stopped, blinking those beautiful eyes at you again, their colors clear and true even a few meters out. From this distance you could just make out a tiny frown pulling at his mouth.
Oh, his pout was so cute. But you didn’t have time to care right now—you had to get him out of there before Yu and Kamui saw him.
You waved again, making a shooing motion, as quietly but as panicked as you could make it, to convey urgency. Shouto’s frown deepened, and you raised your eyebrows at him, flapping your hand even faster.
“What do you think, kiddo?” Yu’s voice suddenly floated back to you from the front of the boat.
You whipped around, registering her head just beginning to turn towards you.
A bone-deep panic slashed down your body, instantly blanking out all thought. Before you even registered that you were moving, your shin had already connected with the side of the boat, and you were throwing yourself over the side opposite Shouto.
The warm water slapped you in the chest as you fell, knocking the wind right out of you. It rushed up your nose, filling your mouth. You coughed and sputtered as you broke the surface, inhaling more water droplets than air, the salt burning in your throat. Yu’s startled yelp met your ears, sounding truly rattled.
“Kid! Oh my god, are you okay?” she yelled, louder than needed when she was only feet away. You hadn’t fallen far.
You licked the salt out of your mouth and rubbed it out of your eyes, catching sight of her leaning over the side of the boat in concern. Kamui had also apparently dropped the fish he was inspecting, and was holding out a long, nut-brown arm to you. You couldn’t see Shouto from down in the water, but you hoped he’d taken the opportunity to clear out.
You coughed again and paddled back over, letting Kamui catch your hand. He hauled you back up into the boat, helping you over the side with a hand under your elbow.
“Yeah, sorry,” you said, even as you sopped water everywhere climbing back over the side. Your clothes weighed about a million pounds, dragging you down into the seats. “I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing.”
Yu clucked as she shoved a spare towel down onto your head, blinding you in teal fabric. “You gave me a heart attack, you little meatball.”
You yanked the towel out of your mouth, giving her your most apologetic grin as you emerged from the terry cloth folds. “It’s just a little water, I’m fine,” you promised.
A quick glance behind her and Kamui told you that Shouto had disappeared, and a wave of relief washed through you, pooling in your limbs and weighing you down further into the pale vinyl of the boat seats.
“What the heck were you even doing?” Yu demanded, hands on her hips. You noticed Kamui’s eyes dart quickly to the swell of her thigh as she did, and then away again, as if he’d been momentarily pulled by a magnet. You suppressed a laugh. They were both so obvious.
“I was just looking at the island, I wasn’t paying attention when I stepped forward,” you lied, trying your best to look innocent.
Yu’s mouth twisted, but then she sniffed, seeming satisfied. “Well don’t do it again, kid,” she ordered you, waving a perfectly manicured finger at you.
You saluted her, then adjusted the towel around you, wrapping yourself securely like a waterlogged burrito. “Yes ma’am.”
She sighed, then turned to exchange a couple quick words with Kamui, and you peered back behind her, satisfied when you only saw the turquoise, glassy sparkle of unbroken water lapping gently around the reef. No Shouto, for sure.
“We’ll call it here for today,” Yu decided. “Since we’re not finding anything anyway.”
You didn’t protest, eager to get out of the area in case Shouto was still around, just lurking. You really would think a merman whose species had effectively hidden themselves for all of human history would have been like, a little bit more discerning about who he showed himself to. Honestly, the fact that you even knew he was around was a bit of a concern.
A sudden suspicion formed in the back of your mind.
Come to think of it, just why had Shouto been skulking around your boat in the first place, nearly a week ago? You made a mental note to ask him, when he inevitably found you later.
Which was another thing of concern. He always, always seemed to find you, no matter what stretch of island water you even dipped a toe into. How the heck was he doing that, either?
The three of you boated back to the island dock, Kamui ducking into the grocery for a couple of takeaway sandwiches for dinner, since you were still soaking wet and in no state to settle in at a restaurant. You discussed your lack of findings again briefly with Death Arms as you returned, and then you were free to trek back to your room, left to your own devices for the rest of the evening.
You wrestled yourself out of your wet clothes and into a bathing suit and a dry pair of shorts, and then took your dinner down to the beach, almost certain you would find Shouto there.
And within minutes, you were proved correct. A head of white and scarlet hair broke the surface of the water just as you unwrapped your sandwich. Shouto drew closer, dragging himself heavily through the shallows on the strength of his arms alone.
You watched, slightly transfixed, as all that wet muscle glittered in the orange light of the evening sun, cording with his lithe movements.
“Are you alright?” Shouto asked as he drew up in front of you, still in a few inches of water. The soft waves lapped the skin of his hip where it joined his tail, fading from smooth, pale flesh into speckled red and white muscle.
You blinked, your gaze flashing back up to his face, which quickly proved to be a mistake. It was even prettier than the rest of him, an almost impossible feat. His eyebrows were drawn with concern, and his mismatched eyes were darting over you, like he was evaluating you for injury.
You reached out, poking him in the chest. “I’m fine! I was distracting them from you! What the heck were you doing, swimming towards the boat like Kamui and Yu were old besties?”
A frown pulled at Shouto’s perfectly plush mouth. “They were with you,” he said, his deep tone earnest.
This drew you up a little short, your finger going limp against his chest. “What?”
Shouto leaned in closer, dipping that handsome head to look you more closely in the eyes. You tried not to find the move so charming. “They are your friends, are they not?”
You puzzled over this. “Well, yeah, sort of. They’re fellow researchers and I just met them a few weeks ago, but I think they’re good people. But—Shouto, you can’t just go up to people like that!”
Shouto’s mouth pulled into a tiny frown again. “I am aware. But you are an exception, I thought…”
The look on his face was enough for you to instantly cave, everything crumbling in the face of the sweetness of his pout. You sighed. Who would have ever thought, weeks ago, that you would succumb to the pout of a merman, of all things?
“Shouto. I think the researchers I am with are good people who want to help. But at the same time, you are a legend that humankind has chased for centuries. You would make a marine biologist’s career—you could make someone one of the most famous researchers of all time.”
Warm, wet fingers met the underside of your chin, startling you. But Shouto grasped your face gently, tipping it up to his. “Then—when you fell in the water. You were protecting me?” he asked.
Your face flushed hot. Really it had just been a distraction, a brief bout of lunacy. He made it sound way more noble than it had been intended to be.
“I was providing cover,” you said defensively.
Shouto’s eyes roved over you, long and slow and evaluative, ending in an unhurried catlike blink. Then a tiny hint of a smile pressed at the corner of his mouth. “You were protecting me,” he decided.
Your face went impossibly hotter, burning so warm you were certain he would feel it against his fingers. But Shouto just looked pleased. The hand on your face disappeared, only to reappear on your ankle, gripping gently but firmly, as he always seemed to do.
You did not want to ask what that was about.
You took a bite of your sandwich to avoid answering, pausing in your chewing when Shouto looked interested.
“You wanna try?” you asked, offering it to him. “It’s veggies and cheese—do you know if you can digest cheese?”
Shouto blinked those beautiful eyes at you, his nose scrunching the tiniest bit. “Izuku lets me try his food sometimes. I do not like cheese.”
You laughed. You couldn’t imagine not liking cheese, but you supposed it only made sense if you hadn’t grown up eating it.
“You want a veggie out of it, then?” you asked.
Shouto leaned forward, inspecting your sandwich. You noticed him inhale slightly, like he was taking stock of it, before he eventually nodded. “The rest of it smells acceptable.”
You smiled, working some tomato, basil, and a sprig of arugula free for him. “Your order, sir,” you said, laying them out in his outstretched hand. You tried not to laugh at how ridiculous the sliced tomato looked sitting there in his large palm, caged in by five deadly-looking claws.
Shouto took a delicate bite of the tomato, his sharp canines another ridiculous contrast. You hid another smile by taking a bite of your sandwich.
Which of course is when he struck.
“For my people, it is customary to provide for one’s mate,” he said, his tone low and thoughtful. “Food and protection, both of which you have given me today.”
A chunk of bread lodged itself suddenly in the back of your throat, and you spluttered, hacking.
Shouto leaned in, concerned, and you waved a hand at him as you coughed to indicate you were okay, barely managing to wheeze out, “I’m fine. Swallowed—wrong.”
Shouto lingered close, looking you over with a little frown until your breathing regulated again.
“Sorry. Just swallowed my sandwich wrong,” you said. “You surprised me.”
Shouto’s brow knitted. “You do not exchange such things with mates?”
Your face went hot, like an instant sunburn. “I—you must have learned from Bakugou and your sister that humans don’t—-it’s not quite like that.”
Shouto blinked guilelessly, looking like he was waiting for you to continue. You looked out to sea, unable to make any sort of eye contact with him while discussing this. You were suddenly all too aware of the strength and shape of him next to you.
“Humans don’t like, inherently know their partners,” you told him, fixing your eyes to the orange shine of the late evening sun on the gentle waves. “We live in mostly monogamous cultures but there’s also no like, biological imperative to choose just one permanent mate. And the way modern culture is structured—we don’t have traditional, um, practices like that. There are common dates people go on, like dinner and a movie, but that’s it.”
You heard the scrape of Shouto’s scales over the sand next to you, a sudden swish of his tail in the shallow water. “Dinner and a movie,” he repeated.
You nodded. “Have Izuku or Bakugou explained movies?”
Shouto gave a deep hum of affirmation. “I have never seen one, however.”
You scrunched your toes in the sand absently. “You might like them. There’s a bunch of ones about mermaids—you’d probably think they’re funny.”
Shouto made that low humming sound again, sounding thoughtful. “And your people don’t have other mating practices?”
Your cheeks burned even hotter. Why the heck was he so interested, anyway? Could he not just eat his tomato and give a marine biologist a break?
“There’s nothing super standard across all cultures,” you said. “I guess where I’m from guys will give a girl flowers or jewelry or something.”
Shouto made another small sound, more interested this time, and you turned to look at him just as he leaned into you again. You froze, startled by his proximity. Up close his eyes were even more beautiful, the blue of his left eye the exact shade of the tropical waters of the island, made even more standout by the surrounding pink scar tissue.
You clenched your fingers at your side against the urge to smooth them over it.
He really was so pretty, a thought that you absolutely should not be having about a dude who wasn’t even fully of your same species, though he was certainly fairly human enough, you thought. The rest of him was all hard muscle and strong lines in the corner of your vision, and you stared resolutely at his face so your vision didn’t snag on the clench of those abs as he leaned over you.
A hand touching your free one made you jump, and you just managed to keep your sandwich from dropping into the sand.
You glanced down, to see Shouto pressing two chips of something knobby into your hand, carefully avoiding the delicate skin of your wrist by angling his claws up. “For you,” he said, his tone low and soft.
It tickled something at the back of your brain, making your flush deepen, and you kept your eyes pinned to the chips shyly.
When you brought your hand closer to your face, the chips resolved themselves into two differently-colored pieces of coral, clearly sliced off by Shouto’s sharp claws again. One was a brilliant red, nearly scarlet like the color of the left side of Shouto’s hair. And the other was duller, a washed out white, the color of his right.
You blinked up at him, your mouth opening with a question about why he would be giving this to you—until your gaze jerked back down again, focusing on the white coral.
White coral. As in, bleached of all color. As in, coral bleaching, which occurred with changes in seawater chemistry, due to temperature, acidity changes, or pollution.
Pollution like the kind you’d been looking for from Sunfish.
“You seemed to like the coral, the other day,” Shouto said, by way of explanation. It was your growing concern, however, that had you only half-focused on his words, your entire world narrowing to the sliver of white coral in your hand.
“Shouto,” you said, looking up at him in wonder. “You are literally amazing. I think you might have just cracked this entire case for me.”
Shouto blinked, looking as though he did not know how to feel about this. His skin flushed, a strange sudden peek of red color creeping over his face, and his pupils went a little sharper, more slitted. Any other time you would have been fascinated by a change like this, maybe have even been bold enough to lean in and inspect him.
But you were already getting to your feet, your sandwich falling off of your lap.
“I have to go to the lab—I’ll see you later, alright?” you said distractedly.
Shouto’s brows knitted, but you did not wait for a reply. You began sprinting for Kamui’s makeshift lab—leaving your sandwich and the handsome merprince behind you in the sand.

I have a few questions for 9/10th Au
If you don't mind answering them 😊
Is Izuku a bit of a clean freak due to his living conditions?
How good is his cooking? Enough for Aizawa to upgrade the kitchen (again)?
Will the cat love Izuku more the Aizawa?
Thnx!!!!
Izuku is very tidy and very neat due to his living conditions now and in the past. He takes care of what he has because he knows that, more than likely, he won't be able to replace it without really struggling. Plus, for the longest time, his notebooks and his few things, were all he really had.
Izuku's cooking is good. Especially when he's actually able to afford quality ingredients. Inko was excellent in the kitchen and it's one of the skills she made sure Izuku had from a very young age. He knows how to make meals out of very very little and how to make the most of whatever he has on hand.
Shouta won't have to upgrade the kitchen, Nedzu had it fully stocked with professional-grade equipment because of course he did, but he will make sure that no matter what Izuku wants to make he'll either have it on hand or be able to get it quickly.
Oh cats in general adore Izuku because he steps softly and doesn't startle them. And, when he can afford to, he'll feed any strays he comes across. Shouta will, of course, take this as yet another sign that they're meant to be.

IZUKU MIDORIYA HEADCANONS...
*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.* *.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.* *.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*
ꕥ baby, my love, sweetie
ꕥ remembers everything- and i mean everything you’ve ever said to him
ꕥ he can quote word for word what you said to him on your first date actually
ꕥ he remembers off the top of his head what you like- which snacks are your favourite, which flavour and brand of ice cream you like, where you are in the show you’ve been watching recently
ꕥ he still gets nervous and giddy around you even after you’ve been together for a while- surprise kisses turn him into a flustered mess when he really isn’t expecting them
ꕥ “oh! hi sweetie, i didn’t see you there- what’s all this for?”
ꕥ loves to ramble about things to you but he does worry that it bores you or freaks you out sometimes so he tries not to carry on for too long
ꕥ when you tell him you love his rambles he just about explodes- he falls in love with you all over again
ꕥ chronically late coming home- whether it’s because he was stopped by a fan, or he needed to go grab some stuff from a store, or if he saw a new limited edition all might figurine…
ꕥ you’re so used to it that you always expect him to get back 30 minutes later than he actually should
ꕥ even though it’s become a routine, he still apologises for coming home late
ꕥ “hey baby! I’m so sorry i’m late home again- they just released a new Kamino All Might figurine!”
ꕥ speaking of figurines, he has a room dedicated to them- and he keeps them in pristine condition
ꕥ he does get nervous about you-or anyone- going in there, but he trusts that you’d never hurt his All Might collection- it’s important to him!
ꕥ you can not sleep around this man- he makes a lot of noise even when he’s trying to be quiet.
ꕥ he’ll sit in bed with an open notebook, scribbling away as he plans things out or puts new information into his hero book
ꕥ “so, if we do… in the morning and then wait… group d arrives in the afternoon, that gives us about 4 hours of rest time between missions… not enough backup… then when the sun starts setting we’re going to head towards… and everyone can take shifts… not secure enough… maybe more to the west… what would all might say? … oh… yeah i see it now… i know what we need…”
ꕥ sometimes he stays up into the early hours of the morning just muttering and writing while you sleep beside him
ꕥ he feels really bad if he wakes you up
ꕥ “oh! i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to wake you, sweetie… i get it, sorry for being so loud- i’ll come to sleep now too okay?”
ꕥ he likes to wrap his arms around your waist and pull you into him to cuddle- he’s still pretty short so he snuggles his face into the warmth of your back

Do you ever feel like the women of MHA barely matters in the story? Especially the heroes.
Short answer: yes! And this is a problem with a lot of shonen series MHA included which definitely ticks me off.
The thing is there are a lot of female characters yet nothing meaningful or strikingly iconic is done with them. In my opinion the most iconic and well written female character we have in the story is toga himiko (whose also a villain so that goes and adds a bit more to your point) and even with that her character arc is still flawed.
There's so many female characters and so much you could do with them. Class 1A has approximately 6 characters each of them can have interesting character arcs that never get developed. You also have very interesting female villains who don't get much attention compared to their male counterparts. Toga himiko the main female villain has a lot of her character time shared with ochako (which isn't like shigaraki or Dabi) and other female villains don't get much focus on like curious (I miss her) or lady nagant (she had a decent arc flawed but really good) oh and magne gets killed off before we know anything about her!
Heck horikoshi could even focus on the female parents like inko and Rei and give them their independent arcs where they find an identity and become better parents (get a redemption arc).
What about the female heroes who don't get much focus and are there to do one bad ass girl boss thing and leave instead of adding meaning to the story. This happens with star and stripes (the worst plot device character I have ever seen) or miriko. Heck it seems like horikoshi forgets a lot about midnight and she doesn't matter when it comes to the oboro plotline. In the end her death is meaningless and there for cheap tension, Mt lady doesn't get enough focus for her arc to truly hit and I honestly can't name any other female heroes.
Oh wait we have recovery girl whose actions are made a gag and not called out, or we have bubble girl who yikes (poor girl deserves better) or nejire who compared to Mirio and tamaki is an almost nothing character!!
Heck don't get me started on how horikoshi does some very questionable things with his female characters like what was that thing with toruu and drawing her naked?!?! Or having toga running around without clothes in the manga (like hello thats a child!!!) what about the endless mineta gags (its worse since horikoshi admitted to liking mineta and being a bit of a perv) heck we dont even talk about the explicit gore thats used with injured female characters like miriko.
In the end there's definitely more I have missed but gosh this is enough to show that horikoshi hasn't done a good job with the female characters (toga and lady nagant are decent) which is a shame since there was sooo much potential.
(Gosh I would add pictures but honestly I physically can't bring myself to post or search for them)

Call Me Mom!(Toshinori Yagi x Fem!Reader)

But she's more than happy to know her son has someone else to look up to and that supports him... a/n: dividers by @adornedwithlight
Tumblr media
It all happened so fast. Within a blink of an eye really.
“Thanks, mom!”
Tumblr media
The words almost sounded like they came out of his mouth in slow motion. You looked over at young Midoriya, your eyes wide. Before any of you could say anything else, Toshinori is coughing up blood and excusing himself.
“Uh–no I mean thank you, sensei!”
But the words had already come out of Izuku’s mouth. Your heart was racing. Your mind was trying to catch up with everything else. Then you look down at the young man you were just helping with his equipment.
He’s blushing and muttering to himself, trying to make himself feel better about the blunder. You don’t even know what to say or how to react to make it all better. In fact, you’re muttering to yourself now, making Toshinori worry about the both of you. You feel a strong hand on your shoulder and when you turn to face your partner, you notice that he has such a soft smile on his face.
“It was an accident, dear. Right, young Midoriya?”
Midoriya nods his head, “Y-yeah!”
But this accident leads you to having dinner with the boy’s mom. His actual mother.
You fussed over what you’d wear. You were nearly tearing out your hair trying to look presentable. This was an important night after all.
Ever since you and Toshinori started dating, you have taken a liking to Izuku as well. How could you not? The boy was so charming, despite his neurotic and obsessive tendencies. Seeing him idolize your lover, you knew that Izuku was a genuinely kind person. And it didn’t take him long to become attached to you as well. That’s how you got into this mess anyway.
Toshinori is your rock in this situation. He rings the doorbell, a box of gourmet pastries shuffled in his hands. You try to smooth back your hair for the umpteenth time. You feel so nervous about this. You had never met Inko, but you heard lots of good things about her from both Izuku and Toshinori.
Izuku opens the door, his eyes alight with joy and idolization when he sees both you and Toshi in your best outfits. He invites you both in, guiding you to the dining room. You finally get a chance to see the home where Izuku grew up.
Inko is standing at the counter, her own cheeks slightly pink. When her son set this dinner up, she wasn’t quite sure how to react. But she knew that it was important for you and her to finally meet. Especially since Izuku wouldn’t stop talking you up.
“Mom, they’re here!” Izuku calls.
Inko gets a good look at you and she’s blushing even more. You aren’t sure how to react to any of this. Your hand clutches Toshi’s in a form of settling your already frazzled nerves. Inko turns to Midoriya, leaning in to whisper in his ear.
“ Izuku, you didn’t say she was so young! And you tell me they are dating?! ”
Her words cause your lover to cough up blood. You’re so quick to pull a handkerchief from your purse and you wipe the blood away. When Inko sees how tender you are with the older man, it’s obvious to her how much you love him.
Despite the little setback, dinner goes off without a hitch. You and Inko actually find you have much in common. And you even help her with the dishes afterwards. When Izuku leads Toshinori into his room, this gives you and her a moment to actually talk.
“I can see why you two are together,” she says as she hands you a plate to dry. “Toshinori-san is very taken with you.”
You blush and nearly drop the plate. “Huh?! Oh…we met through this job. When he started teaching, I found myself wanting to help him out.”
Inko laughs, “Izuku told me you were sweet. I’m glad I get to see this.”
You want to tell her about what happened the other day. You nervously look around before you turn to face her. Her eyes widen a little at your now serious face. Then she’s growing worried when you begin to cry.
“Inko-sama. I’m so so sorry! Izuku called me mom by accident the other day! I didn’t want to make this awkward and now I’ve gone and ruined everything! I’m so sorry.”
When you begin bowing to her, she knows she needs to stop you. With a motherly touch, she places her hand on your shoulder. Immediately you find yourself calming down. You sniffle softly, looking at her curiously.
“It’s fine. Really, it is. Please don’t apologize.” Inko smiles. “I’m so happy my son has someone else to look up to. And it’s only natural that he would see you that way.”
You cock your head to the side. “What do you mean?”
“He doesn’t see me as often as he used to. Me and Izuku used to do everything together. I know that he’s growing up and becoming stronger, but he needs someone to watch over him in a motherly way. And I’m glad it’s you.”
She pulls you into her arms, rubbing your back soothingly. You begin to feel so much warmth radiating from her. Inko was a very good mother, but there was something even more there that you couldn’t put your finger on. Izuku was a lucky boy to have her.
“Thank you. Inko-sama.”
She laughs., “No need to be so formal. Inko is fine.”
The two of you return to your task. Then she turns to you and smirks.
“So, I suppose this means you and Toshinori will be having children of your own soon?”
The question causes you to drop a plate this time. You turn to watch as your husband coughs up blood for the second time this evening, his eyes wide. Izuku and Inko look at each other and laugh.
“What’s so funny?! How can you laugh at a time like this?!” You ask, trying to pick up the pieces of the broken plate.
Izuku smirks. “Because you both had the same look on your face!”
Inko and Izuku both imitate you and Toshinori, leaving you and your partner just a little speechless. Then he takes your hand in his, smiling at you. Then he looks at Izuku.
“That would make you a big brother, wouldn’t it, young Midoriya?”
Izuku’s eyes widen and his cheeks burn. Toshinori gets the last laugh tonight.
