So obviously the speech bubble next to Izuku are his words. But are you telling me that the other two speech bubbles are Mitsuki’s speech bubbles.
“WHY ARE YOU MOVING AROOOOOUD?!?!?!” Alongside with “I’m so sorry, All Might! This kid was pretty worried about you! Sorry, Izuku-kun.”
“I’m so sorry, All Might! This kid was pretty worried about you! Sorry, Izuku-kun.”
Mitsuki call Izuku by his first name. SHE CALLED HIM BY HIS FRIST NAME! Not his last name, BUT HIS FIRST NAME!
In Japan people only call others by their first name if they are close to said person(s)
ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT THE MIDORIYA’S AND BAKUGO’S HAVE A CLOSE FRIENDSHIP/RELATIONSHIP TO BE SAYING/CALLING EACH OTHER BY THEIR FIRST NAME SO CASUALLY!!!!?
IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE TELLING ME!!!?
ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT IT IS CANON THAT MITSUKI IS IZUKU’S AUNTIE AS WELL AS INKO IS KATSUKI’S AUNTIE!!!!?
ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT MITSUKI AND INKO ARE CANON AS BEST FRIENDS!!!!?
IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE TELLING ME!!!!!!!

MRS. BAKUGO !
Tumblr media
meal; pole winner oneshot
condiments; sweetest fluff, wedding day, Katsuki Bakugo/reader, class 1A pulls up, sorry took forever to post this..
Tumblr media
Bakugo Katsuki steadily reached his goals, he was close to becoming the number one hero, was rich and famous, and best of all..
He’s currently wearing a tidy suit, standing at the altar as he waits for the love of his life to walk down the aisle to join him.
The audience was filled with his ex-classmates, mentors, teachers, colleagues and of course his and his soon to be wife’s family.
Contrary to what many believe, Katsuki was actually deathly nervous. His mother and Izuku could tell by how he was subconsciously letting out sparks from his dominant hand as he waited anxiously.
“Bakugo getting married before me.. I can’t believe it!” Kaminari playfully sniffed as he wiped his faux tears away.
Kirishima grinned and gave a pat on his back “Jiro’s been waiting for you to propose so take this as a little inspiration man!”
Midoriya smiled as he looked at Katsuki with a soft gaze “Kacchan, thank you for letting me be your best man.”
“Shut it, don’t get sappy on me right now!” Katsuki gritted out, his brows furrowed slightly. H was getting annoyed that it was taking his bride forever to arrive. The thought of her ditching him on this special day crossed his mind, but he pushed it away.
There was no way she’d do that. He thought, and sure enough he was right since soon after the pianist— Kyoka, began playing. Momo soon after chimed in with the violin.
The door opens and Toru and Ochaco walked out with their flower baskets, throwing petals everywhere— but Katsuki didn’t pay attention to that.
An audible sound left his lips as his eyes fell onto your frame, the dress hugging your body made you look angelic whilst walking down the aisle. His eyes started watering out and he felt his heart race.
Behind you was Mina, grinning as she held the tail of your dress up.
Today was a special day for you and Katsuki, sharing it with your close ones.
“Holy shit.” Was all he could let out as his arms dropped to the side, All Might— the pastor just laughed “Look alive now Young Bakugo!”
Shoto nonchalantly wiped Katsuki’s tears away with a handkerchief, earning a soft glare from the groom as he pushed the duo haired male’s hand away with a click of his tongue.
Once you were standing at the altar your eyes shifted up to meet his vermillion ones.
“You’re the most gorgeous woman alive.” Your soon to be husband breathed out, making you giggle.
“You’re as handsome as the day I met you, Katsuki.”
All Might cleared his throat and began the vows, after a bit it all was left is to say those two simple words.
“I do.” You chirped with a smile.
“You may now kiss the bride!”
Katsuki didn’t waste a second, he pulled you close by the waist and tenderly kissed you on the lips.
You closed your eyes and leaned into it with a smile.
Your friends were cheering and crying from joy as you two were officially husband and wife. They clapped, joyous about this new union since it was obvious to them that Katsuki and you were the perfect pair.
“This.. Is great.. Life is great Shota!” Present Mic sobs out as he blows his nose into the napkin while Eraserhead just grimaced “Watching these two finally tie the knot after all these years is kinda surreal.”
“That brat,” Mitsuki wipes her tears away as she grinned “I can finally expect grandkids!!” Inko and Masaru who were beside her couldn’t help but sweat drop.
Bakugo Katsuki now officially has a mrs. Bakugo.

cw: angst. character death. you and izuku are married and have a young son. godparent!katsuki. katsuki has an unnamed wife.
Your son always starts a fuss when you bring him to his grandmother’s house, but for some reason, as you slowly trudge up the steps to your mother-in-law’s modest home (she’d refused to let her son move her out into your large shared home or even a much larger, more roomy domicile of her own), you find that your son is eerily quiet, as though he can sense the turmoil inside of you and is choosing to give you a much needed break.
By the time he makes it into Inko’s arms, he’s always less fussy, but today he’s quietly looking at you, curiously, as if he’s waiting for you to break down and cry. He’s unnerving that way, gifted with practically the same emotional intuition as your sweet husband, and it doesn’t help that he has practically the same face. Inko is quick to take your behaving not-yet-toddler from you, and gives you a sympathetic look. She is not going to the funeral yet because she plans to watch your son, but she’s spent practically every night this week at Mitsuki’s house, preparing food and helping her through her tears. You’ve helped your best friend, Katsuki’s wife, grieve similarly, but now that the final moment has come to lay him to rest, you feel dread rising in the pit of your stomach.
You should not show your face. After all, you killed Katsuki Bakugou.
After you repeat this statement again out loud to your mother-in-law, shaky hands folded in your lap as she hands you a glass of water and tries to steady your nerves, she reminds you, as all good mothers would, that it wasn’t your fault.
He’d meant to save you. You hadn’t been the one to force an unclosable hole through his chest, and if it hadn’t been you standing and vulnerable in that particular spot, it would have been someone else he’d have aimed to save.
Perhaps that last part is true. Or perhaps, because you are one of his closest friends' treasures, he fought a little bit harder, moved a little bit quicker and a little bit more recklessly to ensure that you made it out, that you’d be the one to explain to your best friend why her husband is not coming home to dinner, rather than he have to explain to Izuku why the mother of his child is no longer of this world. It’s a moment that plays in your mind constantly ever since you first heard the sickening crunch of bone and sinew give way, the spray of your child’s godfather’s blood soaking your clean clothes.
You’d just been at the grocery store and run into each other by chance. It’s been over a decade long gag now to pretend you hate each other more than everything while acknowledging that you’ve both intertwined your lives with a person the other holds terribly dear. When you saw Katsuki you crinkled your nose, a joke akin to ‘look what the cat dragged in’ muttered in some variation by you both, before walking side by side and catching up. The four of you had dinner plans that weekend anyway and Katsuki takes the idea of godparent far too seriously for being an only child, and thus was far too interested in what you were putting in your cart.
“I read kids develop their tastes early in life and I don’t think this” - he picks up a six-pack carton of juice that was admittedly laden in sugar from your cart - “is particularly conducive to healthy development.”
“Katsuki, I didn’t ask you,” you hiss, snatching it out of his hands, then sheepishly add, “in fact, that was mine.”
He laughs and shakes his head.
“Figures for all that chaotic energy you have,” he jokes.
You had more to say to him, and then merely ten minutes later, in a flurry of explosions and debris, screams and scattered people,  you were staring straight through his chest to the other side.
“Fuck.”
Fuck? You thought. Katsuki looking at you, then looking at the gaping wound in his chest, then looking at the incapacitated villain and the destroyed supermarket, then looking back at your hands deep in his wound, pressing down at his chest desperately to stop the bleeding as best you can, tears running down your cheeks. You who so often were joined at the hip with the one he loves, who’s grown to merge their natural smile with Izuku’s over time, whose face is distorted in fear and shock and desperation to keep him alive so you don’t have to tell your best friend that you are the reason he’s no longer here to protect her.
Because he was protecting you. For his friend. For his wife. For the kid you’ve entrusted to him in case something happens to your or Izuku's child, who better not get that goddamn juice box.
“Hey, it’s okay.”
You want to scream, no it’s not, it will never be, how am I supposed to tell her-
“I forgive you. I’m not mad. Just take care of her, okay?”
Katsuki’s voice was the quietest, calmest you had ever heard it be since you’ve met him and you hate that he smiled, and you hate hate hate that Izuku would have done it for him, too.
The shaking turns into sobs again and Inko holds your hands tightly. Your son is upstairs, too occupied with toys, again far too polite and considerate, and you wonder if he’ll remember how hard you are crying right now. If he’ll remember his father crying and holding you that terrible evening. You wonder what he’ll do when he’s old enough to know why his auntie doesn’t have a husband and why there are four people smiling in that wedding photo that hangs in your home instead of the three he knows, and who bought him nearly half of his books and toys.
“I can’t go there,” you whisper again.
Inko tilts her head.
“But she needs you,” Inko murmurs. You wipe your tears with the back of your hands. Your husband, who isn’t the coward you are, is already at the funeral, working through funeral arrangements. Your throat dries up at how much he must be apologizing again, or perhaps he’s not apologizing at all, keeping his head up high and reminding everyone that Dynamight died saving someone important to him and what he did was not a mistake.
“Kacchan is a true hero.” Izuku repeated softly into your ear, then to himself, then to you again, then to the world, then to his wife. His wife who should hate you but is too mournful to bother.
“I can’t go there,” you repeat. “I cannot look her in the eyes.”
But your best friend needs you and cried in your arms that very first night.
Inko nods.
“But she’d do it for you,” she says, softly.
She would do it for you, the same way Izuku would have done it for Katsuki.
Moments later, you’re squeezing Dynamight’s widow’s hand as Izuku praises him, and you wish it hadn’t turned out this way but you’re at least fulfilling your promise.
Just take care of her, okay?
You will, for the rest of your life.

MHA headcanons bcuz the show brings me a lot of joy
If you don't agree with them or they clash with canon that's ok just scroll on, peace and love on the planet earth and whatnot.
⭐Iida is straight but is openly into BL. He's up to date on new releases, mostly pg shoujo stuff. Except for one fantasy comic that is hella explicit at some points but he is VERY passionate about the lore and characters.
⭐Bakugo has Inosuke levels of androgyny going on. He would give Shouto a run for his money in the "class 1-A's resident prettyboy" vote that was held if he 1. wasn't too scary for people to vote for him. and 2. if he stopped scowling for like two seconds.
⭐Aoyama is some flavor of nonbinary but doesn't use any labels because he HATES them. He is an ✨experience✨, a piece of art up for interpretation.
⭐Pro hero Red Riot has a line of menstrual hygiene products with cool and manly packaging because he's very popular with transmasc people and wanted to give back something helpful and validating to them.
⭐Kirishima once called Bakugo his "brofriend" and he just about had an aneurysm.
⭐ Before they got together, Kirishima wrote half the valentine's cards Bakugou recieved anonymously because he "just had so many feelings it couldn't fit just on one card!!"
⭐Bakugou is a secret romantic. He hates talking about it because it's "bad for his image" but he has a big collection of shoujo manga and internally melts whenever Kiri does something soft for him like buying flowers or holding his hand in public.
⭐Aizawa regularly gets intrusive thoughts of becoming a househusband whenever he has a particulaly annoying time. Like after his 7th parent teacher conference of the day or after a full week of falling asleep in uncomfortable beds in seedy hostels he stares at the ceiling like "Hizashi is a celebrity. He has three jobs. What am I doing here? I love him. I can't cook but I could learn 😫"
⭐Kaminari hits on Bakugo's mom every chance he gets. Bakugo's tries to blow him up, Mitsuki thinks it's fucking hilarious.
⭐Allmight has a crush on Midoriya Inko but is scared to do anything about it because A. it might upset Izuku and B. he thinks he's too old and ugly for her.
⭐You'd think Midnight would be a bad teacher based on her general sexy nature but actually she's well loved because she's the only teacher who the kids trust with advice on relationships and intimacy, especially after the dorm system set in. She has time set aside each week where she's available for anyone to pop into her office and chat about whatever they're worried about. Aizawa is endlessly thankful for this because one time Todoroki asked him what a backshot is because he heard Sero make a joke about it and he's still healing from that conversation.
⭐Since both of their quirks are food based Sato and Momo often bake together. Sato's the master decorator, Momo buys good quality ingredients and is a beast at chiffon cakes.
⭐Denki can't swim. After The Incident in primary school where he almost electrocuted a whole swimming pool of people he's been scared to try.
⭐Kirishima has two moms. His birth mom had him at like 18 and his biological father wasn't ready for that yet. Her best friend immediately stepped up to help with the baby, and that's Kiri's mama now.
Thank you for reading!! I am incredibly late to this fandom but hey I'm having fun now so. Sick.
If you liked this, you can find part 2 here :)

Reconnections and promises
Izuku feels a little bit nervous as he walks into the barbarian village after a couple of years; he's been there before, his mother and he used to live in a house close to it until they both had to move away when Izuku's stupid and horrible father came looking for him.
His mother lives in the middle of the woods now, safe, while Izuku travels around the kingdom to train and be as strong as his mentor All Might.
Sure, it was probably the best choice at the time, but Izuku still laments leaving his best friend behind then.
He's not sure if Katsuki would like to see him again after all those years or if he still remembers him. It's alright, Izuku still has things to do in the village.
He buys a couple of herbs and a dagger for protection and toys with his mother's letter for a while before knocking on the Bakugos' door.
Taking a deep breath, he prays to the gods they still live there.
But what if they don't remember him?
"Izuku!" Masaru greets him in the doorway before another hand appears behind him and pulls the green haired young man in.
"It's been a while, boy!" Mitsuki chuckles, pulling Izuku into a hug. "You have grown a lot!"
"Y-Yes!" He mumbles nervously, handing her Inko's letter.
"From my friend?" She asks with a grin. "Okay, we'll read it later and perhaps I even write something for her before you go."
"Katsuki lives in the center of the village now," Masaru tells him, noticing the way Izuku's eyes are constantly looking around. "He'll be happy to see you."
"Uhh..."
He's not so sure about that, maybe he should–
"Come on, the brat won't bite you..." Mitsuki smirks, only making Izuku more nervous than he already is.
"Mitsuki," her husband sighs, before offering a kind smile to Izuku. "Go pay him a visit."
"Is he... the leader now?"
"Not yet," Mitsuki replies, looking very amused for some reason. "But he will be."
"O-Okay."
Izuku gets out of the house after having lunch (Masaru insisted) thinking that maybe Katsuki won't be that excited to see him. He has more important things to do now.
However, he's not a coward, at least he has to try–
Suddenly, something strong collides with him, something that almost knocks him off his feet if it wasn't because the same "thing" put their arms around him and lifted him from the ground.
"You nerd!" Katsuki growls, looking directly at Izuku's eyes. "Did you think I wouldn't recognize that stupid green hair and those ridiculous freckles of yours?"
It seems his childhood friend has grown like a tower now and he's very strong judging by the way he keeps carrying Izuku in his arms like he weighs nothing.
"Hi, Kacchan," he mumbles nervously, feeling his cheeks turn slightly pink. "It's been a while..."
"SHUT UP!" Katsuki growls again, pulling Izuku even closer and that's when the green haired man notices the tears sliding down his cheeks.
"Kacchan, are you cryi–"
"NO!" The barbarian cuts him off, nuzzling against his cheek affectionately.
That's when Izuku bursts into tears. Katsuki puts him down, worried for a moment until he realizes Izuku is not hurt at all.
"I missed you too, Kacchan!" He sobs, feeling strong hands cradling his face as thumbs wipe off the tears from his freckled cheeks.
"You're such a crybaby," Katsuki huffs, although he's tearing up too. "I didn't say I missed you."
"But I know you missed me," Izuku giggles, hearing the moment Katsuki approaches again. The barbarian nuzzles against his cheek before biting the tip of his nose.
"I did miss you, nerd."
"Aren't you going to introduce us to that cutie?" A barbarian girl says, followed by two men, they're as young as Katsuki; one of them has yellow hair and the other one red.
"No," Katsuki growls, pressing Izuku's forehead against his, before rubbing their noses together.
"That's really manly, Bakubro!"
"We get it! But we just want to meet him!"
Reluctantly, Katsuki introduces Izuku to Kirishima, Ashido and Kaminari, although he doesn't move away from Izuku and keeps a hand on his waist the whole time.
"Spar with me, nerd!" Katsuki blurts out suddenly, prompting Ashido to chuckle and Kaminari and Kirishima to look at him like it's the first time they see him.
"Uhh..." Izuku hesitates. Yes, he's stronger now and has learned how to fight, but he's not sure if that's something he wants to–
"Please." Katsuki adds, almost like he can hear Izuku's thoughts.
Kirishima gasps and the others look equally shocked, but Katsuki doesn't tear his red eyes away from Izuku.
It seems like this is important to him.
"Okay, Kacchan."
The part Izuku doesn't enjoy is that they do that in the middle of the village, near the fountain; it's the same beautiful one Izuku and Katsuki used to play around when they were children, which means that everyone can see them. And the people do stop to watch them as if that's some sort of important event.
Izuku notices Masaru and Mitsuki in the crowd.
However, despite how nervous he feels, it also brings back good memories.
"Eyes on me, Izuku."
Fortunately, he actually forgets about everyone else as soon as their eyes connect and suddenly they're running against each other, trying to tackle the other to the ground.
It's weird, but they're really balanced in terms of fighting skills; Katsuki is stronger, but Izuku is faster.
In the end it's a tie and weirdly enough it doesn't make Katsuki upset (when they were kids, the blond was obsessed with winning) actually, it seems he's really happy about the result.
The people around are surprised, but happy; they even clap for them and Izuku finds himself being hugged by Masaru and Mitsuki at the same time, at least until Katsuki yanks him away.
He's blushing. His friends are already walking towards them when Katsuki takes Izuku's hand and intertwines their fingers together.
"Not a word!" He warns his friends. "I'll take Izuku home to feed him."
"Sure you will..."
"Shut up, Pinky!"
It's not that he doesn't enjoy being in Katsuki's house or that he doesn't like the idea of watching him make dinner for him, but Izuku has to know...
"What was that all about, Kacchan?" He asks, sitting at the table, as the barbarian moves around his kitchen.
"The sparring session was actually a compatibility test, it means we're compatible..." The barbarian says, still looking away, although Izuku notices his ears turning red.
"Compatible? But–"
Finally, Katsuki turns around before taking off one of his necklaces and handing it to Izuku. He looks nervous.
"As a couple," he says in a whisper, his red eyes finding Izuku's. There's no hesitation in his voice. "I'd like to start courting you, if you're okay with that."
His heart responds for him, even before Izuku can process what's going on. He feels warm and fuzzy inside.
"But, Kacchan... Isn't it a little bit too soon for that? I mean... We just saw each other again after a long time–"
"I always knew," the barbarian says quietly, getting closer to Izuku until he's in front of him; he kneels before taking Izuku's scarred hands in his. "I know. I'm sure... But if you don't want–"
"I want to," the green haired man finds himself saying to his own surprise. It feels right, it feels like they never stopped seeing each other. "But I still want to travel."
"You can still do that and I can go with you, at least for a year, the time that the courtship lasts and before I take my place as leader of my people," Katsuki says, blushing again. "If after that time you still want to be by my side, we'll go see auntie and maybe bring her here so she can be here for... the wedding."
Izuku, feeling a couple of tears forming in the corners of his eyes with each one of Katsuki's sweet words, nods because he doesn't trust his voice at the moment.
"You're such a crybaby," Katsuki says, tearing up too, before leaning to give Izuku a kiss that makes him forget all his doubts.
They'll be fine. It was meant to happen anyway.

Anyone interested in some fic recs? Here’s a few ones I recently read and am enjoying — I prefer long, slow burn stories heavy on characterization/character study with adult protagonists, so that’s what’s on the list! As always, check the ratings and mind the tags; almost all are M for themes/language and a few have E chapters. This list is not exhaustive, and doesn’t include many older works, so if you have q’s or want more recs, ask away!
EraserMight
Blood Orange by @flyingjemsaucer is my happy place right now (the author has other lovely EraserMight fics too). It’s a wonderful AU with orange farmer/vendor Toshinori and teacher Aizawa. This one is interesting and different because Toshinori is un-injured and Aizawa has his post-PLF disabilities. As a bonus, this fic also has great DadMight and Dadzawa, with David Shield and married Mic/Midnight as the best friends of the lead pair.
Closed Fist and Bleeding Heart by MoonlightAndDust (who I believe also wrote this AU twitfic). Just all around good, canon universe, angsty EraserMight.
EraserMic
Nine Lives by machiroads (also check out the author’s Naruhata Noir, which ties in to Vigilantes lore). This one is set during Aizawa’s canon post-war hospital stay and features a super fun Mirko, snarky little shithead [affectionate] Shinso, and good OCs. Honestly, the EraserMic romance is just one part of the story, and that’s fine because it’s full of other things.
And When It All Goes to Hell by @purekesseltrash (also check out the author’s Rooftop Necromancy series for a band AU). Both of these fics are examples of an author’s other hobbies/interests making the fic truly special. This one is a hockey AU and it’s great! Filled with lots of cool details, it cuts between the teenage rooftop trio and the adult Hizashi and Shouta reuniting after 10+ years to figure their shit out. Knowing some hockey stuff helps, but isn’t required at all — the drama is still there! And if you want to read about 1A students in this hockey AU, then you’re in luck because the author has that too (though I have yet to read it myself only because I prefer adult protagonists).
ToshInko
Naive Melody by @aconstantstateofbladerunner. I also like many of the author’s other works including For Kurou and Dekugate, but I think this one deserves more attention for its terrifying premise and action sequences. It keeps the core “hero society” concept from MHA and then goes and does its own thing. Also, I love the Talking Heads references — you KNOW how I get with my 80s new wave music!
Bones of You by @thoughtfulraven. A really sweet story set in the canon universe, with BFFs Inko and Mitsuki and a closer look at Toshinori’s mental state.
Nighteye/All Might
Happiness by @puddinginthemix made me like Nighteye, and that’s a feat. Set in the canon universe with canon events…I’ll just say this one made me tear up a bit.
DadMight and gen All Might
Living Well by @krisingtons is super sweet. If you want some DadMight fluff, this is where you go. (I also happen to really like the Quirk Development Theories series, especially the OC that pairs off with Inko in one of the later stories because they all work together so well to support Izuku).
Learning to Trust by @siriusfan13, a longtime favorite. Not only is this a fantastic look at All Might in the year before he agreed to work at UA, but the author links some amazing DadMight/genMight fic recs at the end of (most) chapters.
Kacchako & also Hawks (WhaaAAaa????)
Toy Soldiers by AJLenoire is a bit of a wild card on this list, but it’s really well-written. The multiple subplots within the Kacchako plot and the Hawks/OC plot are all fun, and the Hawks/OC relationship is a blast.

Imagine Izuku, hurting and sore, being welcomed by their big siblings. By Hizashi and their husband Shouta (mortal? Demigod?) who make a room just for Izuku. By Snipe who takes what small amount of skill with weapons Izuku has to hone and hone until that slight advantage becomes stronger. Hawks who broke out of a facility designed to keep him docile and burned it to the ground with a smile and a pyro on one arm who then took down thr former number two hero with a snarl.
Izuku whose mind is to fast. Who sees to much abd saw the way Inko looked past. Saw her ignore the truth for her own comfort. (Katsuki and Izuku are best friends like her and Mitsuki. Izuku is just clumsy. Shes a good mom. She never cheated. Izuku is just a normal child. There is nothing special) Izuku who reaches out and the others reach back.
Izuku can’t lie.
They never have been able to. The words burn on their tongue and ache coming out, but the truth is dangerous and often not what adults want to hear so they learn to talk around it. To weave half truths that don’t hurt but still are what people want to know. They learn to talk about villains rather than monsters (and really isn’t a monster just a villain at the end of the day?) they learn to speak about chance rather than foresight (a hundred percent chance is still a chance in a technical sense) they learn to show internet rather than speak about the burning need for knowledge that could consume them if they let it (they are interested, of course, but interest is such a light thing compared to the need that screams through them.)
They can’t lie, but they can always tell when someone is lying.
Their mom is the worst liar, they think. She lies to Izuku, telling them she loves them and wouldn’t anything for them; she lies to others, telling them that the bruises and burns are just because Izuku is clumsy and an adventurous child; she lies to herself, telling sweet little lies about how Katsuki is Izuku’s friend and he will make a great hero one day while Izuku… well Izuku will find something better suited she’s sure.
She’s a liar.
Izuku wishes they could just hate her. Wishes that each lie didn’t ache as badly as the first one. Wishes so many things that never come true even with all of the flashes of the future they see.
At least, not until one of their flashes leads them to their siblings, the older children of Apollo that recognize Izuku just as easily as Izuku recognizes them.
There’s no lie in any of their words when they tell Izuku they want them to be safe. That they are Izuku’s family. That they care. No lies when Hizashi tells them they see the monsters too. No lies when Keigo says their glimpses of the future are cool. No lies when Snipe promises that they can be just as strong of a fighter as they are a scholar with a bit of practice. Not even a lie when Shouta (Hizashi’s husband and apparently a son of Hermes, which wouldn’t have been Izuku’s first guess but they are burning to know about their gifts and if the rumors go a lock sensing and disabling ability is true) tells them that they can stay with him and Hizashi for as long as they want.
Sitting in the living room with their siblings bickering back and forth while Hizashi heals them (that rumbling is so soothing. Like a cat’s. Didn’t they read something about purring being able to heal? Was this connected to Voice or their father. Were they both from their father ? Were quirks just godly gifts watered down through the years were—) Izuku can see what the future holds. Dozens of little flashes playing out in seconds.
Laughing into a karaoke microphone while Hizashi pulls some ridiculous dance move. Keigo scooping them up for a flight because “every child of Apollo should get to race the sun!” Steady hands cruising their own as they pull back a bowstring, letting their fingers roll off so the arrow thuds dead center of the target. A laughing man they can’t quite see against the sun lighting him from behind with calloused hands so warm it’s like pure sunlight cupping their cheek.
A hero costume in green and black with a little yellow lyre stitched in where most wouldn’t see. A sun that matched three other costumes that had them all clever hidden.
Izuku sees it all, hears no lies, and reaches out.

not gonna lie, enemies to lovers is so easy when it comes to kacchan.
akina hayashi. grey eyes. bright purple hair. has a quirk similar to tomura shigaraki’s. anything she touches disintegrates, but she has the ability to reverse it as long as she doesn’t wait too long.
she had to learn that the hard way.
shortly after her quirk manifested, her parents got a divorce (the whole thing was so nasty), and as an only child, it became just her and her mom.
katsuki’s been akina’s next door neighbor since the womb. under normal circumstances, this would lead the two to become friends.
the problem lies with izuku being akina’s best friend.
she was so protective of him that she begged her mom to put her in a judo class.
“i wanna be able to protect my friend, mama!”
it was the most passionate she’d been about anything since her dad left.
akina was walking izuku home from school when they encountered the sludge monster. she did her best to hold him off, all might showing up just in time.
she couldn’t move fast enough to stop her friend from latching onto the hero as he took off. with a sigh, she continued her walk to the midoriya household.
an explosion in the opposite direction caught her attention. she didn’t plan on making a detour, but if she knew anything about izuku midoriya (and she knew everything about izuku midoriya), she knew he’d be there.
she pushed her way through the crowd of bystanders and caught sight of what was causing the ruckus. the spiky blonde hair and bright red eyes peeking from the muddy green sludge made her stomach cave.
her body felt stuck. it wasn’t until a flash of green ran through the chaos that she took off to help.
for izuku, she’d do anything.
she felt those beady eyes stare her down as she forced her hands through the mess. it seemed like no matter how much she was able to disintegrate, it’d come back tenfold.
after all might put an end, the two instigating teens got chewed out by the adults.
“what were you thinking? do you have a death wish?”
“at least we tried to help. that’s more than what can be said about you pros.”
she shut that down quick.
during their walk home (for real this time), she was properly introduced to small might.
after izuku committed to training with the hero, akina was there everyday working with him. if he was really determined to go to ua, she had to be there by his side.
after passing the Entrance Exam, akina hayashi ended up in class 1-b, much too far from izuku midoriya and katsuki bakugou in her own professional opinion.
she got requests from both inko midoriya and mitsuki bakugou to look after their boys.
she made no effort to befriend her classmates. outside of class, she acted as izuku’s shadow. she didn’t say much, but she always there. everyone thought she was his girlfriend for a while.
the tension between akina and katsuki was tense. every time she saw izuku at the end of the day, likely covered in bruises and bandages, she’d approach with a soft look on her face, find out it was from katsuki, and offer to kill him.
“WUH- kina-chan you can’t go around saying things like that! people will think you’re being serious!”
“but i am, izu-kun.”
during the UA Sports Festival, it didn’t take long for akina to lose sight of her friend. during the cavalry battle, she got grouped with neito monoma.
after her team got eliminated, she waited for izuku with some of the other class 1-a students. the boys were enamored with her aura and the girls were mildly intimidated by it.
it made her anxious to see izuku fight and not be able to do anything to help him, but his classmates were confident that he could handle himself well.
she mostly kept her eyes forward, but when uraraka came back from her round against katsuki, she turned her attention to the girl.
“…”
“um.. hi?”
“.. you did good.”
something about the way she said it had everyone’s except katsuki’s faces turning red.
akina ended up working under a hero in hosu for her internship. she tried to use it as an excuse to not worry about her friend for too long. the beeping on her phone though, ensured that that wouldn’t be the case.
she excused herself and took off, running in the direction of the blinking dot on her screen.
she ran towards the alley and came to a stop just as todoroki was rounding the corner. the sight of her closest friend, his classmate, and a pro hero all laid unmoving and the Hero Killer ready to strike.
it wasn’t long after her arrival that they were able to take the man down. that’s not to say they came out of it unscathed.
they were all wrapped in bandages, and akina had a long gash going down the side of her face.
after that, akina essentially became an honorary 1-a student; she was invited to spend time with them outside of school as her own person and not an extension of izuku.
katsuki’s eye started twitching when he found out class 1-b would be going to the same Training Camp.
while at the forest, akina was tasked with improving the restoration of things she’s disintegrated and forcing the pathway of the destruction.
being in the same vicinity as her genuinely had bakugo tweaking, and kirishima and kaminari thought it was hilarious.
“man, i don’t think i’ve seen you this worked up in a long time.”
“and she’s not even bothering you! it’s almost like you have a cru-”
the explosion shook the ground.
she’d been hiding in a tree when the smell of fire hit her nose. katsuki and shoto had just gotten past her. she jumped down and made quick work of joining the two (safety in numbers and all that) and one of her fallen classmates. it didn’t take long for them to come face to face with moonfish.
getting permission from the hero to use their quirks was unexpected, but hearing that katsuki was one of the targets made akina’s blood run cold.
as shoto started putting up ice walls, akina grabbed the kid off of his back and made something of a barricade by breaking down the ground just enough to hide the boy.
she soon joined the fight, turning the blades coming out of the man’s mouth to dust as they made contact.
she and shoto held their own until dark shadow came charging at them.
the group of students kept pushing through the forest, eventually running into asui and uraraka.
in the end, katsuki ended up in the hands of the league of villains.
akina, moving on muscle memory, ended up riding to the hospital in the ambulance with izuku.
when inko showed up, akina got down on her knees and apologized profusely for failing to protect her son.
she did the same thing at the bakugou household.
akina, to everyone’s surprise, joined the group for the Hideout Raid. she said it was to keep an eye on izuku.
he knew it was a lie.
it was nerve wrecking seeing mt lady, best jeanist, tiger, and gang orca fall against the masked man.
they were all frozen in fear until the sound of the angry blonde rang through the air.
the teenagers eventually came up with a plan.
akina reached for the ground, using her quirk to disintegrate the concrete under the boy. he was quick to notice it.
after the boys took off down todoroki’s ice ramp, akina stayed put just long enough to see katsuki shoot himself into the sky and grab kirishima’s hand.
after she knew he was safe, she ran in the direction of the rubble to help those in need.
it took her a while, but she was able to help civilians get to safety, disintegrating everything in her path.
when she got away from the chaos, she called izuku.
“kina-chan! where ar-”
“izu-kun. are you and katsuki okay? are you somewhere safe?”
she stood by, holding her breath as she watched all might go against all for one on the big screen.
as she watched the hero bulk up for what was probably the last time and raise his fist in the air, akina felt her legs give out, and for the first time in a long time, she cried.
she found the rest of the first years and went with them to drop katsuki off at the police station before going home.
she stayed in her room for a few days, not even coming out when vlad king came by to speak to her mother about the new dorms.
the day she went out the check the mail was, coincidentally, the same day all might and eraserhead were visiting the bakugou residence. katsuki had just finished a conversation with all might.
“katsuki.”
he stopped, but he didn’t look at her.
“i’m glad you’re okay.”
she then turned to all might, bowing at a ninety degree angle, and thanked him sincerely for protecting japan.
katsuki walked back inside his house, his face warm.
(not gonna lie this is probably the first time they’ve ever had an interaction that had nothing to do with izuku)

If Izuku is a child of Hades does this affect his relationship with Inko? What about Katsuki?
In this AU Inko is a mortician. She and her husband are estranged. Izuku is 100% an affair baby who she adores but it’s a bit of an issue with Hisashi. He hates Izuku and there’s this uneasy sort of stalemate because Inko can’t divorce him. Not yet anyway. Oh sure, they live in different countries, people who know them are aware of the truth (AKA Inko’s best friend who also works at the mourge and is a demigod to. Apollo specifically) but they can’t do it just yet. Mostly as Inko is helping build a case about Hisashi’s less then legal activities and the blackmail he has.
But in general Inko supports her son and loves him. She supports his interests (heroes, analysis and necromancy), put in for a permit so he can have his weird pet (a taxidermied bat) and has fist fought a few people who say shit. So her son looks a little like a skeleton in the right light, runs cold, has a creepy laugh and his dark eyes make people feel like they are walking over their grave! Big deal.
Bakugou though is… interesting. He thinks Izuku’s animation of the dead is creepy. That is what they say is his Quirk. As a kid, it was just animals. But like he always knew it wouldn’t stop there. Bakugou is 100% mortal and hates Izuku for being creepy along with him being a better person then he is. Bakugou knows that Izuku is a good person who wants to be a hero for good reasons compared to himself. So there is a lot of resentment for the ‘Villain Kid’ to be a better person.
There was never any ‘oh we were childhood friends’ here. Izuku tried but was put off early because of Bakugou. Inko having a friend who could suss out truths learned of Bakugou’s bullying from a young age. This fractured her friendship with Mitsuki (who didn’t know Izuku is an affair baby and never would because Inko refused to trust her with it) makinh it WORSE for Izuku because Bakugou viewed Inko as ‘his Auntie’ and is upset the woman won’t put up with his nonsense.
So Bakugou hates Izuku who has no feelings other than ‘not this guy’ about him.
Which actually pisses the guy off more.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what are your views on inko because as much as hori tries to paint her as this overprotective mother I just never seem to get that vibe. I always get the vibe that sometimes she does more harm them good to izuku . So I would like to know how you think of her character and how you would changed her character to seem more supportive i guess?
Hi @bibibbon 👋,
Midoriya Inko is someone who I feel like loves her son but she is not someone I view as a good parent.
She reads to me as emotionally neglectful of Izuku - a key example of this is letting Izuku stay in Aldera while Bakugou was exploding him and destroying his things his whole childhood. To people who try to defend her and say 'Izuku hid his bullying from her', how well do you think a four year old can hide being exploded or having their things destroyed?
Inko also reads as someone who is overly emotionally dependant on Izuku - *insert the scenes we have of her crying and Izuku comforting her here.* Most of these scenes are because of her worrying because of bad things that have happened TO IZUKU such as news of his quirklessness or when he wakes up from a coma after the War Arc. Parents are meant to provide emotional support and be a pillar of strength to their children - with Izuku he seems to be that for his mum because his Dad is MIA. This is an unhealthy dynamic because he should not be his mum's emotional support.
How would I rewrite Inko?
I would have her be a proactive presence in her son's life like parents should be.
I would have it so as soon as Inko realises her son is being bullied by Bakugou she is shown notifying the teachers / bringing this to Aldera's attention.
I would have it so when Aldera does nothing or if they refuse to do anything she reports them and transfers Izuku into a better school (such as Iida or Todoroki's schools - because Izuku deserves either of them as a childhood friend more than a decade of being abused by Bkg.)
I would show Inko confronting Bakugou's parents about Bakugou's bullying and behavior to bring it to their attention. (None of this "Auntie Inko" nonsense from Bakugou like I see some fics use even if Mitsuki is her friend, and that's not confirmed by canon, I can't see any good mum liking her son's abuser.)
I would keep her emotional nature but have her actively try to hide her upset from Izuku on certain things. I.e the Quirklessness diagnosis, I would have her try to reassure Izuku that she loves him and believes in him quirk or no quirk yet him catch her crying at night when she thinks he's asleep. (This keeps the angst but makes Inko look like a better and more supportive mum.)
I would have her have more of a suspicion of Yagi around Izuku and have her bond with Yagi more. - We know Yagi is All Might. We, as readers, know this is an innocent and wholesome mentorship but to Inko this strange man has just popped out of nowhere and is spending all this time with Izuku. That, if Inko knew of it, should raise Alarm bells to a parent. Plus it would be good for Inko to see over time how good Yagi is for Izuku and have Yagi and Inko bond outside of Izuku.
Have Inko learn of OFA - I am forever salty that BAKUGOU learnt of OFA before anyone else, let alone Izuku's mum. And this version especially has a right to know.
Have Inko have more of a problem with UA - UA doesn't seem to keep the parents well informed plus AM and Aizawa's 'teaching' leaves a lot to be desired. Having Inko have more of a problem with it cements her as looking out for her son's best interests and being a proactive rather than a passive presence in his life.
These are seven improvements I can think of at the top of my head. Inko is a character that could use some rewriting to be a good parent but ultimately loves her son.

Chapter five is finally out!!!!!!! sorry for the delay <3 here's a snippet, as per usual: They returned late into the night. But they weren’t fighting, and looked so peaceful that Mitsuki didn’t bring it to attention. She was just glad that they were finally getting along. She had hoped they would become friends again, just like they had when they were children. Seeing them finally coexist, in the form of them not screaming at each other for ‘stealing’ the others air made her happy. Inko and Mitsuki were unable to continue being friends. Mitsuki had moved away, and seemingly in the blink of an eye, Inko had passed. She witnessed the bond Katsuki and Izuku shared as children, and wished the best for them. Mitsuki agreed. She knew the pains that came with losing a friend, much less an extremely close one. So, she desperately wished the same would never apply to Katsuki and Izuku.

"So, you're Inko's new husband?"
Currently thinking about writing another one-chapter story in the Hero x Family AU about Mitsuki forcing Toshi to stay for tea when he comes by to pick Izuku up from his playdate, so she can interrogate him about his relationship to Inko. After all, Inko's first husband had been a very poor choice and she doesn't want her best friend's heart to be broken again.
And Mitsuki would be smiling and pour Toshi tea, but with the most scrutinizing look and asking things like "But you take Inko out for dinner, right?"
And Toshi would be like "Yes??? If she'd like that??"

For daughter of paradise, what's Satomi's relationship with bakugo?
And any funny hijinks
Okay, while Inko and Mitsuki were friends in the past, their kids literally never met. So every part of him is new to her.
She thinks he's a pompous asshole at first, and just a regular asshole later. If she ever learns about his large collection of personal issues, then she'll be a bit more sympathetic, but he's still her second least favorite member of 1-A.
Bakugou, on the other hand, can't stand her. Not because she did anything wrong, but because his inferiority superiority complex can't handle anyone being effortlessly better than him.
A big part of the hijinks is that literally everyone who could potentially be attracted to a near 6' buff Amazon is into her, but she just... doesn't notice (mostly because she was raised as the youngest woman on the island, she lacks a frame of reference). She does respond to one girl's attention, but that comes later.
Also, Mineta usually gets what's coming to him. Her Mother didn't raise a daughter who could put up with perversions for longer than a few seconds. (Hippolyta... doesn't have the best history with that.)

Self-Promote Saturday
Hi, this isn't a thing, but I'm making it one (writers and other artists feel free to join in on Self-Promote Saturday). Today's self-promote is: The Fear of God... Or Auntie in this Case (4k)
I love bkdk being childhood friends so much as a trope and seeing how their lives have intertwined over the years, so this was so incredibly fun to write and I still look back on it fondly. Their chaos is the best and making everyone confused is great. Inko and Mitsuki are their aunties, okay, they're family!

Genre: Humor
Warnings: Swearing
MASTERLIST
OLD & CONFUSED
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Aizawa adopted Shinsou when he was around 7, and he adopted Eri when her grandfather died.(She was 3 at the time) The man had taken preventive measure to ensure his granddaughter and her quirk didn't end up in the wrong hands. He's closed himself off to dating. His last relationship was difficult for him, and the woman he dated never really liked the fact that he had kids.
-Enji was forced to marry Rei at the demand of his parents. They had 4 children together before Rei lost her shit and left. She did end up burning Shoto. Enji and Mitsuki met through Inko and Yagi. Katsuki's father passed away when he was a baby, and Mitsuki left Japan so she could heal. Now, Enji and Mitsuki are happily married and raising their blended family. Enji makes sure to talk about Masaru with Katsuki as much as he can. Katsuki enjoys that he has siblings. Fuyumi is his favorite.
-Yagi took in his mentor's grandson, when he'd found out what happened to the boys family due to his quirk. He'd met Inko at some point and the two married. Yagi knew Izuku was quirkless and he, Inko, Enji, and Mitsuki had discussed the possibility of giving Izuku OFA. Tenko is a recovery hero and a substitute at UA. Yagi and Enji are the oldest of the group.
-Oboro and Present Mic are Shouta's closest friends and his most chaotic. Oboro suffered an accident during a work study in high school. He's not fully who he used to be, but his friends are always there for him. They both want to see Shouta happy and married.
-Jeanist is the cool, calm, and snobby of the group. He and Mitsuki always have beef because they work in the same industry. He's pretty sure Mitsuki would slit his throat if she had the chance. (She so would)
-Natsuo, Touya, and Fuyumi have somehow become friends with their dads friends. It's a sore point for Natsuo a lot of the time, but he just doesn't connect well with others his age. Fuyumi's father scares everyone off and Touya enjoys being a problem child. He and Shouta often spend steak outs together, so Shouta would count the young man as one of his best friends
