There will never be a Michael Jackson to take over our planet again.

That may sound a little bittersweet in a way but the truth is that the amount of work, dedication and commitment to bringing folks together to not only love music but appreciate ones artistry can’t be duplicated.

I can’t describe how much this man single-handedly changed my life and the way I listen to music. He gave the world a gift through visuals and song; sacrificing his own privacy, well-being and perhaps his own mental health, to give the world some magic.

So, here’s to The King Of Pop 👑 who would���ve been 66 yesterday.

hiya- ace here! this is just a little introduction to my art tumblr, a branch off of my art instagram aceofhe_arts (they wouldn’t take an underscore in my username for tumblr)

i am a multimedia artist who mostly posts digital art. im a legal adult balancing work and college so my posting schedule is a bit nonexistent lol, but im trying to work on being more active to promote my work! i go by the alias ace on here and most of my creative content. i really aspire to share my original characters and stories more than anything, as well as connect with fellow fans for various fictional media i love! so essentially, you will find a mix of original character work, fan art and personal art. i also love to write, and plan to post fanfics on archive of our own once i get everything sorted out account wise! for now, i am best to talk to through my thimble or instagram <3

some of my big favorite fictional media include kingdom hearts, sk8 the infinity, percy jackson, the maze runner, the walking dead, big hero 6, persona 4, disney twisted wonderland, dc comics, marvel comics and more! i am also a huge fan of the bands set it off, waterparks, greenday, icon for hire and more recently fell in love with epic the musical! so if anyone’s interested in yapping together lol, feel free to reach out! im also huge on mental health awareness and a member of the lgbtq+ community, so this is a safe space <3

ADHD vs Autism Bracket: Summary (Round 1)

Round 1 has officially come to a close, with some outcomes that really surprised me!!

Despite sweeping so many polls before mine, Kris and Susie fucking DIED? Right off the bat. But maybe that just goes to show how iconic Phineas and Ferb are, there is truly nothing neurotypical going on in that show.

Another surprise to me was the Ink!Sans and Error!Sans VS Cuphead and Mugman matchup. Although the former received 20+ nominations and Cuphead less than 10, this ratio flipped the other way when it came to the actual polling!

Many of my personal blorbos have fallen in battle </3 Aja and Krel barely stood a chance, but having them has been a pleasure. I am once again recommending 3Below! I was also surprised by the number of polls in Side B that nearly got 50/50, but all the winning duos managed to scrape by even if it was just by 2-3%

Going forward, Side A and Side B polls will go live at the same time. Round 2 will probably begin on Friday (to give myself time to update the graphics) and will be posted around the same time of day as Round 1.

My Reflection Post 💜

Through creative forces, Lee Krasner, Yayoi Kusama, and Sheila Hicks represent the power of change. Each in their manner, these women have challenged traditional boundaries, fusing innovation with personal expression to broaden the definition of art, in doing so, valuable lessons about resilience, boldness, and experimentation shine through in their work, guiding and enlightening aspiring artists like myself. Lee Krasner's legacy will always be linked to Abstract Expressionism and her amazing career arc. Even in the shade of Jackson Pollock, Krasner never wavered in forging her path as an artist. Instead of hanging on to her old creations, she revisited and remade them, forming something new yet telling. Strength comes from such flexibility and adherence to change. Krasner's life shows how art is a journey unto itself, and how change and experiment lead to great personal and professional growth. Yayoi Kusama's art reflects her inner world. In her work, she channels her lifelong struggle with mental health into polka dots and repetitive patterns. With her installations, performances, and visual art, Kusama transcends traditional art forms. For example, her infinity rooms transport viewers into a mesmerizing world where they face their individuality and their connection to the universe. As a creative expressionist, Kusama's fearlessness in transforming personal challenges into iconic work is inspiring and humbling. In Sheila Hicks' work, textiles have a new role in contemporary art, bridging the gap between fine and craft. She explores color, texture, and materiality in depth. What inspires me most about Krasner, Kusama, and Hicks is their shared ability to turn personal struggles, cultural influences, and experimental techniques into groundbreaking art. We learn that art isn't just about resembling the outside world, but also about processing and expressing the inside. Each of these artists exemplifies staying true to one's vision while embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with being creative. These lessons are so relevant to my journey as a student artist. Krasner taught me about adaptability - revisiting and refining your work with a fresh perspective. As a result of Kusama's boldness, I'm more willing to share my own experiences and try out new ideas. By emphasizing experimentation, Hicks inspires me to explore new materials and techniques. Together, these lessons remind me that art is a lifelong journey of growth, self-discovery, and innovation. By embracing these principles, I can cultivate a unique artistic voice and contribute meaningfully to the world of art and design.
