Second baby acquired! This is Noodle! Both Noodle and Scrambles are hens, and they are trying to out lay each other! I have so many eggs I don't know what to do with them all!

Cuddle pile!!! Once, Peri brought home a stray Furby. It brought the entire house into chaos as the Furby went feral on them. It took sacrificing Cosmo to it for the Furby to calm down.

It spat him out eventually, but the house was a wreck afterwords. Wanda refused to let Timmy or Peri keep it as a pet, thinking (rightly) that they're not ready for one. Cupid took the Furby off their hands afterwords.

Elain fell asleep to the sound of thunder and the worry that all her chickens—including her beloved Henrietta—would be dead in the morning. 

She woke to Lucien’s voice.

“Hey,” he murmured, poking her in the ribs. She opened her eyes to find him crouched before her, this time in a plain white shirt. And tucked beneath his arm was a bleary eyed, rather exhausted looking Laya. 

“Henrietta?” she asked, thinking only of her favorite.

“Tried to murder me on sight,” he replied dryly, giving Elain the bird.

“But they’re all alive…as well as your plants.”

He’d never been so close to her. In the hazy morning glow, Elain saw the shadow of a beard grazing his sharp jaw. She thought of his chest, all carved muscle now hidden beneath a t-shirt stretched over his body, and how he’d held her down with so little effort.

How he’d used his own body to shield her not once, but twice. 

“Thank you,” she told him. Lucien didn’t quite look at her, nodding silently. He rose to his feet, tall as he looked down his nose at her.

“Get that bird out of our house, Elain.”

So Verge has been watching over Beef while I've been in the garage, yea? I come indoors for a drink and overhear him all the way in the study, all stern like, "Now Beef, you may perch upon my desk but you must stop trodding all over my papers-- no, do not peep at me with that tone."

I walked downstairs this morning and found all of the furniture in the living room has been turned on it’s side and made into a ring around the area rug. ???

Apparently my moms favorite chicken is being picked on and she’s worried about her during the heatwave, so she brought her inside. The furniture ring is to keep her off the rug.

That is the face of a chicken who has no idea what’s going on.
