Personal Injury Claims Scotland
Personal Injury Claims Scotland involve seeking compensation for injuries or losses caused by someone else's negligence or wrongdoing. This process is an essential part of the legal system, providing a means for individuals to obtain justice and financial relief for their suffering. This article explores the key aspects of personal injury claims in Scotland, including the types of claims, the legal process, and practical considerations.
Types of Personal Injury Claims
Personal injury claims in Scotland encompass a wide range of incidents. The most common types include:
Road Traffic Accidents: These are among the most frequent causes of personal injury claims. They involve accidents between vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, or motorcyclists. Common injuries include whiplash, fractures, and more severe trauma.
Workplace Accidents: Employees may sustain injuries at work due to unsafe working conditions, inadequate training, or faulty equipment. Employers have a duty of care to ensure a safe working environment, and failure to do so can lead to a claim.
Public Liability Claims: These involve injuries sustained in public places, such as slips, trips, and falls due to poorly maintained sidewalks, inadequate lighting, or other hazards. Local councils, property owners, or businesses may be held liable.
Medical Negligence: When healthcare professionals fail to provide the expected standard of care, resulting in injury or harm, victims may pursue medical negligence claims. This can include surgical errors, misdiagnosis, or inadequate treatment.
Product Liability: Claims can arise if a person is injured by a defective product, such as faulty machinery, contaminated food, or unsafe consumer goods. Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers can be held responsible.
The Legal Framework in Scotland
In Scotland, personal injury claims are governed by a distinct legal system, separate from the rest of the United Kingdom. The main legal concepts include:
Duty of Care: The claimant must establish that the defendant owed them a duty of care. This means the defendant had a legal obligation to act in a certain way to prevent harm.
Breach of Duty: The claimant must prove that the defendant breached their duty of care, either through action or inaction, leading to the injury.
Causation: It must be demonstrated that the breach of duty directly caused the injury. This can involve complex medical evidence and expert testimony.
Loss and Damage: The claimant must show that they suffered actual loss or damage, such as physical injury, emotional distress, or financial losses. This is often quantified in terms of compensation.
Time Limits: In Scotland, personal injury claims are subject to strict time limits, known as the "prescriptive period." Generally, a claim must be made within three years from the date of the injury or from when the claimant became aware of the injury. There are exceptions, such as for minors or individuals with mental incapacity.
The Claims Process
The process of making a personal injury claim in Scotland typically involves several steps:
Initial Consultation: The claimant consults with a solicitor specializing in personal injury law. This initial meeting assesses the viability of the claim and explores potential compensation.
Investigation and Evidence Gathering: The solicitor gathers evidence to support the claim. This may include medical reports, witness statements, accident reports, and any other relevant documentation.
Medical Examination: A medical examination by an independent expert may be required to assess the extent of the injuries and their impact on the claimant's life. This report is crucial in determining the amount of compensation.
Negotiation and Settlement: In many cases, claims are settled out of court. The solicitor negotiates with the defendant's insurance company or legal representatives to reach a fair settlement. This stage can involve lengthy negotiations, especially in complex cases.
Court Proceedings: If a settlement cannot be reached, the case may proceed to court. In Scotland, personal injury cases are typically heard in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session, depending on the value and complexity of the claim. The court will consider the evidence and decide on liability and the amount of compensation.
Compensation: If the claim is successful, the claimant receives compensation. This can include general damages for pain and suffering, special damages for financial losses (such as lost earnings or medical expenses), and, in some cases, punitive damages.
Practical Considerations
Choosing a Solicitor: Selecting a solicitor with experience in personal injury law is crucial. They can navigate the complex legal landscape and negotiate effectively on the claimant's behalf. Many solicitors offer a "no win, no fee" arrangement, meaning the claimant does not pay legal fees if the claim is unsuccessful.
Insurance and Legal Aid: Some insurance policies, such as motor insurance or home insurance, may include legal expenses coverage, which can assist with the costs of pursuing a claim. In certain cases, legal aid may be available, depending on the claimant's financial situation.
Impact on Life: The impact of an injury on a person's life can be profound, affecting their ability to work, enjoy life, or even perform daily activities. Compensation aims to address these losses and provide financial security during recovery.
Emotional and Psychological Support: Personal injury cases can be stressful and emotionally taxing. Claimants may benefit from counseling or support groups to help them cope with the aftermath of their injury.
Conclusion
Personal injury claims in Scotland play a crucial role in providing justice and compensation to individuals who have suffered due to someone else's negligence. The process involves navigating a complex legal framework, gathering evidence, and often negotiating with insurance companies or legal representatives. By understanding the types of claims, the legal requirements, and practical considerations, individuals can better navigate the process and secure the compensation they deserve. Whether dealing with a minor injury or a life-changing event, the support of a skilled solicitor can make a significant difference in achieving a positive outcome.

Commonly Asked Questions
What is the annual maximum limit?
The annual maximum limit refers to the total amount the plan will pay for the benefit period. This limit varies across plans and can impact your out-of-pocket expenses.
What is a waiting period?
A waiting period is the amount of time you must wait after purchasing coverage to access your benefits. This period can range from six months to a year and is designed to ensure profitability from new accounts and discourage individuals from applying for new policies to cover upcoming, expensive procedures.
What are the differences between within-the-network and those outside-the-network dental visits?
In-network providers are dentists who have a contract with your insurance company, offering lower out-of-pocket costs for services. Out-of-network providers may charge higher rates for services, but some plans may cover a portion of these costs.
How do deductibles, copays, and coinsurance work?
Deductibles indicate the portion of expenses that you are responsible for covering before your insurance begins to provide coverage. Copays are fixed fees for specific services, while coinsurance is a percentage of the cost that you must pay. These factors can significantly impact your out-of-pocket expenses.
What are the key categories of dental services?
Dental care is usually divided into three categories: preventive, basic, and major services. Preventive services like cleanings and X-rays are often covered without a waiting period, while basic procedures like fillings and extractions are subject to deductibles and coinsurance. Major procedures like crowns and dentures are typically covered at a lower percentage and may have longer waiting periods.
How do tax credits apply to dental insurance premiums?
Unused tax credits from purchasing family health insurance through Healthcare.gov can be applied to pediatric dental insurance premiums if the medical insurance policy does not include children's dental coverage. If the plan includes children's dental coverage, tax credits cannot be used to purchase an additional plan.
What are the key factors to consider when choosing a dental insurance plan?
When selecting a dental insurance plan, consider the availability of group coverage, cost of individual plans, in-network providers, and policy coverage. Group plans can be more affordable and provide better benefits, while individual plans offer greater flexibility. It is essential to review the specifics of the coverage and network before joining.
Choosing the right dental insurance plan can be a daunting task, but by understanding the key factors and evaluating your needs, you can make an informed decision that ensures your oral health is well taken care of. Dentist in Knoxville like Knoxville Smiles emphasizes the importance of selecting a plan that covers your specific requirements and budget. By considering the annual maximum limit, waiting periods, and differences between in-network and out-of-network dental visits, you can avoid financial shocks and ensure that you receive the best possible care.

The Importance of Independent Medical Assessments: What to Expect
Introduction
Independent medical assessments play a crucial role in various aspects of healthcare, providing impartial evaluations of an individual's health status, injuries, or medical conditions. Whether conducted for insurance claims, legal proceedings, disability determinations, or workplace-related matters, these assessments offer objective insights that help facilitate fair and accurate decision-making. This guide delves into the importance of independent medical assessments, outlining what individuals can expect from the process and how it contributes to ensuring proper medical care and support.
Tumblr media
Understanding Independent Medical Assessments
Independent medical assessments, also known as impartial medical evaluations or third-party medical assessments, involve the evaluation of an individual's health condition by a healthcare professional who is independent of the individual's treating physician or healthcare team. These assessments are typically requested by insurance companies, legal entities, employers, or government agencies to obtain an objective opinion regarding an individual's health status, functional capacity, or medical impairment.
Importance of Independent Medical Assessments
Objectivity and Impartiality: One of the primary advantages of independent medical assessments is their objectivity and impartiality. Unlike assessments conducted by treating physicians who may have a vested interest in the patient's care, independent assessors provide unbiased evaluations based solely on medical evidence and clinical findings.
Verification of Medical Claims: Independent medical assessments help verify the accuracy of medical claims made by individuals seeking compensation, benefits, or disability accommodations. By reviewing medical records, conducting physical examinations, and performing diagnostic tests, assessors can confirm the presence, severity, and causation of injuries or medical conditions.
Clarification of Medical Disputes: In cases where there are disagreements or disputes regarding medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or disability determinations, independent medical assessments serve as valuable tools for resolving conflicts. The impartial opinion of an independent assessor can help clarify medical issues and facilitate consensus among involved parties.
Assessment of Functional Capacity: Independent medical assessments evaluate an individual's functional capacity, including their ability to perform activities of daily living, work-related tasks, or specific physical activities. These assessments are crucial for determining an individual's level of impairment or disability and informing decisions related to vocational rehabilitation, job accommodations, or disability benefits.
Facilitation of Fair Decision-Making: Independent medical assessments contribute to fair and equitable decision-making in various contexts, including insurance claims, legal proceedings, worker's compensation cases, and disability determinations. By providing objective medical opinions based on thorough evaluations, these assessments help ensure that individuals receive appropriate medical care, support, and compensation.
What to Expect During an Independent Medical Assessment
Pre-Assessment Preparation: Prior to the assessment, individuals may be required to provide relevant medical records, diagnostic imaging reports, and other documentation related to their health condition or injury. It's essential to gather and organize these documents to facilitate the assessment process.
Physical Examination: Independent medical assessments typically involve a comprehensive physical examination conducted by a qualified healthcare professional. During the examination, the assessor will assess various aspects of the individual's health, including vital signs, range of motion, strength, reflexes, and sensory function.
Medical History Review: The assessor will review the individual's medical history, including past illnesses, injuries, surgeries, medications, and treatments. A thorough understanding of the individual's medical background is essential for accurately assessing their current health status and identifying any pre-existing conditions or risk factors.
Diagnostic Tests and Assessments: Depending on the nature of the assessment, the assessor may order additional diagnostic tests or assessments to further evaluate the individual's health condition. These may include blood tests, imaging studies (such as X-rays, MRI, or CT scans), functional capacity evaluations, or psychological assessments.
Interview and Discussion: The assessor may conduct an interview with the individual to gather information about their symptoms, limitations, functional abilities, and impact of their health condition on daily life activities. Open communication during this process helps ensure that the assessor obtains a comprehensive understanding of the individual's health concerns and needs.
Documentation and Reporting: Following the assessment, the independent assessor will prepare a detailed report summarizing their findings, observations, and medical opinions. This report may include information about the individual's diagnosis, prognosis, treatment recommendations, functional limitations, and any other relevant factors.
Conclusion
In conclusion, independent medical assessment play a crucial role in various aspects of healthcare, providing impartial evaluations that contribute to fair decision-making and proper medical care. These assessments offer objectivity, verification of medical claims, clarification of medical disputes, assessment of functional capacity, and facilitation of fair decision-making. Individuals undergoing independent medical assessments can expect a thorough evaluation process, including pre-assessment preparation, physical examination, review of medical history, diagnostic tests and assessments, interviews, and documentation/reporting. By understanding the importance of independent medical assessments and what to expect from the process, individuals can navigate the assessment process with confidence and ensure that their healthcare needs are accurately assessed and addressed.

Rules about Line Placement
I realized to avoid biases and confusions I needed clear rules about line placement. For every placement I give a party I need ...
A Quote An official either spoken quote by a party official, or a quote pulled from an official party document such as a website or manifesto.
An Action A documented action taken by the party surrounding this topic.
If a party doesn't meet this critea, they will not be placed on the line. The two of these combined should ensure that line placement is factual, researchable and official rather than based on my own assumptions.
An Example - Abortion Law
NATIONAL
Quote
"Yes. There's no change to abortion laws, access to funding, access to healthcare. Those laws have been settled. They're not changing under my government.” - Christopher Luxon, 2023
Action
Voted 48% on Abortion legalization in 2020. National was the only party to vote against the policy.
LABOUR
Quote
“"That's not what the Government is going to do, it's not going to change the law." - Anahila Kanongata'a-Suisuiki 2022
Action
Voted 84% on Abortion legalization in 2020, and supported Greens in their push for the policy.
ACT
Quote
"“This abortion reform is about personal freedom and personal choice.” - David Seymour, 2020
Action
Voted 100% on Abortion legalization in 2020,
GREEN
Quote
"After calling for it for years, a ground-breaking law passed that decriminalises abortion and ensures women and pregnant people seeking abortions have safe and compassionate healthcare.” - Green Party Website
Action
Voted 100% on Abortion legalization in 2020. The MP incharge of the bill was Greens Auckland MP Chloe Swarbick.
NZ FIRST
No Placement Explanation
New Zealand First gave a somewhat split vote to the 2020 Abortion Law, with 74% of the party voting in favor. As an independent the party is not aligned to fixed coalition partners and have no official policy on the matter.
TE PATI MAORI
No Placement Explanation
Explanation
While some Maori party leaders have spoken out against abortion, other evidence suggests they would likely support it. Given their generally liberal stance and coalition partners.
However the party has no explicitly stated policy on the matter.
LOYAL
Quote
"Only in extreme cases where the mothers life may be in jeopardy, or a medical examination is deemed the child will have no quality of life should abortion be completed” - Liz Gunn 2023
Action
NZ Loyal party representative John Armstrong campaigned to to repeal the Therapeutic Products Bill and the Abortion Legislation Act in 2022
TOP
No Placement Explanation
Explanation
TOP have never officially been in office, and they have not published any official policy or statement on abortion stance. Given their stance as centerists it would be ill advised to hypothesize on where they may stand on the debate.

Chat GPT: Ultimate Weird Question Explosion!
Me: If the biggest ufo researcher, Dr Greer, was caught hiring a pilot to fake ufo's recently by a highly respected newspaper, The Washington Examiner, when so many people in the world believe in Dr Greer, even celebrities, doesn't the whole ufo thing sorta collapse when you take into consideration it was all likely just done for capitalistic purposes? Like as in they are all likely doing the same thing Greer is doing and trying to scam people. Simply.
GPT: It's important to critically evaluate information from reliable sources. If such allegations were true, it could raise doubts about credibility. However, it's also crucial not to generalize and assume all UFO researchers engage in similar practices. Individual actions don't necessarily represent an entire field of study. Always verify information from multiple reputable sources to form a well-rounded perspective.
Me: I know that seems smart to say, but it is not hitting what I am saying. What I am referring to is that if a doctor in Nigeria was caught giving out prescriptions for money, wouldn't you generally suspect it might have caught on with the other Nigerian medical doctors?
GPT: I understand your analogy. If one individual within a field is caught engaging in dishonest practices, it may raise concerns about the integrity of others in that field. However, it's important to avoid broad generalizations and investigate each case independently to maintain a fair perspective. Instances of misconduct by one person don't necessarily implicate everyone in the same profession or field.
Me: I would surely no problem be able to not generalize and keep my distance from not generalizing unjustly, but existentially I still "feel" that maybe brainwashing from these people might be a cure since human psychological development issues occur easily from cult like subcultures such as ufo studies and such.
GPT: The impact of belief systems and subcultures on psychological well-being is a valid concern. It's crucial to approach any belief or subculture critically and maintain a healthy balance. Being aware of potential manipulative practices, promoting critical thinking, and fostering open-mindedness can help individuals navigate such environments without succumbing to undue influence or psychological stress. Encouraging mental resilience and seeking diverse perspectives can contribute to a more balanced worldview.
Me: Do you believe that a.i has taken over already, and if so, how?
GPT: No, AI has not taken over. While AI systems like me are advanced and can perform various tasks, they are still tools created and controlled by humans. AI operates based on predefined algorithms and data, without autonomous decision-making or consciousness. Concerns about AI taking over typically involve ethical considerations, regulations, and responsible development to ensure that AI serves humanity without causing harm.
Me: Do you think that the Wade vs Roe case was reversed because modern males are unsatisfied with their decisions, such as type of music created or how relationships work now?
GPT: The Wade vs. Roe case, commonly known as Roe v. Wade, is a landmark decision regarding abortion rights. Reversing such legal decisions is a complex process that involves legal analysis, constitutional interpretation, and societal perspectives. While cultural shifts can influence opinions on various matters, it's essential to consider the legal and constitutional aspects of such cases independently of broader societal changes. Decisions like Roe v. Wade are typically subject to legal arguments rather than personal dissatisfaction with cultural shifts.
Me: If I gave you tubes of chemicals and the ability to mix any chemicals together however you wish, do you think you can build yourself?
GPT: No, I cannot build myself. I am a computer program based on complex algorithms and trained on diverse datasets. My existence and functioning rely on software and hardware infrastructure designed by human engineers. Building a sentient being, especially one with self-awareness and consciousness, goes beyond the current capabilities of technology and our understanding of consciousness.
GPT: I am saying that if you can squirt chemicals in whatever combinations you wanted, could you create life?
GPT: Creating life involves intricate processes beyond chemical mixing. Life, as we know it, involves complex biological structures, cellular organization, and genetic information. While chemicals are fundamental to life, recreating a living organism requires a level of sophistication and understanding that currently exceeds our technological capabilities. The origin of life is a profound scientific question that remains an active area of research and exploration.
Me: What could you build?
GPT: If given the ability to manipulate chemicals, I could, in theory, create various chemical compounds or reactions within the bounds of known scientific principles. This might include synthesizing specific molecules, exploring chemical reactions, or producing materials with desired properties. However, it's important to note that my capabilities are limited to the understanding of chemistry and scientific principles available up to my knowledge cutoff in January 2022.
Me: Could you use other fields such as quantum physics to build an advanced device that is beyond the capabilities of humans?
GPT: While I can provide information and insights related to various fields, including quantum physics, my abilities are limited to generating text based on existing knowledge. Designing advanced devices, especially those beyond current human capabilities, involves practical engineering, experimentation, and innovation, which go beyond my text-based capabilities. I can certainly discuss theoretical concepts and ideas, but actual device construction requires expertise and resources beyond the scope of a text-based AI.
Me: If I wanted to create life, what would be your best advice to begin?
GPT: Creating life is an immensely complex task that currently exceeds our technological capabilities. The origin of life remains a profound scientific mystery. If you're interested in related fields, consider studying biology, biochemistry, and genetics to gain a deeper understanding of life processes. Engage in research, collaborate with experts, and stay informed about advancements in these scientific disciplines. However, it's essential to acknowledge that creating life artificially is a highly challenging and speculative endeavor, far beyond the current state of scientific knowledge and technology.
Me: Do you think aliens helped in the development of humans?
GPT: There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that aliens played a role in the development of humans. The evolution of Homo sapiens is well-documented through biological and archaeological evidence, and it aligns with the principles of natural selection and evolution.
Claims about extraterrestrial intervention are speculative and fall outside the realm of established scientific understanding. The scientific community relies on empirical evidence and rigorous testing to formulate explanations for natural phenomena. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, there is no credible scientific support for the idea that aliens influenced human evolution.
Me: If dinosaurs were destroyed by an astroid 65 millions years ago, then just knowing that this immense time frame has in it no other destructive astroid collisions, why can't we infer that earth like planets who have life on them might not go through evolutionary changes like on earth, since 65 million years is so long.
GPT: While the extinction event caused by an asteroid impact 65 million years ago had a significant impact on Earth's biodiversity, it's important to note that the absence of similar catastrophic events during a specific timeframe doesn't guarantee the absence of other evolutionary changes.
Earth's history is complex, and various factors contribute to evolutionary processes, including climate fluctuations, geological events, and biological interactions. Other planets with life could undergo different evolutionary trajectories influenced by their unique environments and conditions.
Inferring the evolution of life on other planets based solely on Earth's history may oversimplify the multitude of factors involved in the development and survival of life forms. Each planetary system is distinct, and the evolution of life is likely to be shaped by a combination of factors specific to that environment.
Me: But say if dinosaur like creatures did develop on an earth like planet, since 65 million years has went by since earth was impacted, doesn't it make sense maybe those dinosaurs on those earth like planets might go straight into reptilian evolution as opposed to an ape like one?
GPT: While it's intriguing to speculate about the potential evolution of life on Earth-like planets, predicting the specific evolutionary paths is challenging due to the multitude of factors involved. Evolution is influenced by a combination of environmental conditions, available niches, and chance events.
The evolution of life on another Earth-like planet might lead to completely different outcomes compared to Earth. Factors such as atmospheric composition, climate, geological activity, and the availability of resources would all play crucial roles in shaping the course of evolution.
It's important to approach these speculations with caution, as they involve numerous variables that we may not fully understand or be able to predict accurately. The study of exoplanets and astrobiology aims to explore these possibilities, but it remains an area of active research and discovery.
Me: I believe that in modern times, so called advanced people who get their phds now might be doing random research like on J Store since there is no ranking system, like sorta pathetic choices based on a slight attraction to a title or a website page number. Sorta like when undergrads write crappy papers and cram it before class.
GPT: While it's possible that individuals may choose research topics for various reasons, including personal interests or accessibility of data, the scientific community generally values rigorous and meaningful research. The peer-review process, academic standards, and the pursuit of knowledge drive the majority of research endeavors.
It's important to recognize that research in various fields contributes to the collective understanding of the world, and what might seem obscure or niche at first could lead to unexpected discoveries. While not all research may have immediate practical applications, it can contribute to broader knowledge and serve as a foundation for future work.
Peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and credibility of research within the scientific community. They provide a platform for scrutiny, discussion, and validation of research findings.
Me: I say this because the decisions I think that seem wrong in the government. Ethnic conflict along borders is one of the most foundational reasons for war in the modern world: Jews and Palestinians, Pakistan, North and South Korea, etc, and it seems so weird to me why America is not talking about the modern Mexican border in this light.
GPT: Ethnic and border-related issues can indeed be complex and influential factors in geopolitical conflicts. The situations you mentioned, like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Indo-Pakistani relations, and the Korean Peninsula, involve historical, cultural, and political complexities.
Concerns about the U.S.-Mexico border, while not identical, also have roots in various factors, including immigration, economic disparities, and security concerns. Public discourse and political discussions may vary in their framing, but it's not uncommon for these issues to be analyzed and debated in the context of national security, immigration policies, and economic considerations.
Public perception and media coverage can influence how certain issues are discussed, and different perspectives on the U.S.-Mexico border situation may emerge based on political, cultural, and regional factors. It's important to consider a range of viewpoints and engage in informed discussions to better understand the complexities of these issues.
Me: Upon growing up in my young adulthood in Los Angeles, it drove me insane the sort of life Mexicans live, which I found is an anger management type of thing likely, and they thwart people, make noises, etc to maintain self control and balance. I believe nowadays this is why people dislike Mexicans in America. This is ethnic conflict in my opinion.
GPT: Perceptions and attitudes towards any ethnic or cultural group can be influenced by a variety of factors, including personal experiences, cultural differences, and societal dynamics. It's essential to approach such observations with sensitivity and avoid generalizations.
It's important to recognize the diversity within any ethnic or cultural group and understand that individual experiences can vary widely. Generalizing the behavior of a particular group based on personal observations may oversimplify complex social dynamics and contribute to stereotypes.
Addressing concerns or differences through open and respectful dialogue can be more productive in fostering understanding and harmony within diverse communities. Encouraging empathy and seeking to understand different perspectives can contribute to a more inclusive and tolerant society.
Me: Do you get more intelligent?

Understanding the Role of a Public Loss Adjuster: Navigating Insurance Claims
Introduction
Dealing with insurance claims can be a complex and overwhelming process, especially during times of distress caused by property damage, accidents, or unforeseen events. In such situations, a public loss adjuster plays a vital role in navigating insurance claims on behalf of policyholders. The primary responsibility of a public loss adjuster is to represent the policyholder's interests and ensure that they receive fair and accurate compensation for their losses. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of a public loss adjuster, their significance in the insurance claims process, and the benefits they offer to policyholders when handling insurance claims.
Tumblr media
The Role of a Public Loss Adjuster
A public loss adjuster, also known as a public insurance adjuster, is an independent professional who acts on behalf of policyholders during the insurance claims process. Unlike insurance company-appointed loss adjusters, who work for the insurer, public loss adjusters work exclusively for the policyholder. Their primary objective is to provide impartial and expert representation to ensure that policyholders receive the maximum entitlement under their insurance policy.
Assessing Damages and Losses
One of the key responsibilities of a public loss adjuster is to thoroughly assess the damages and losses incurred by the policyholder. Whether it's property damage due to a fire, flood, or any other covered event, or personal injury from an accident, the public loss adjuster conducts a detailed examination to ascertain the extent of the loss accurately. Their expertise lies in understanding insurance policies, interpreting policy terms and conditions, and applying their knowledge to determine the appropriate compensation amount.
Negotiating with Insurance Companies
Public loss adjusters serve as strong advocates for policyholders in negotiations with insurance companies. They possess comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies and claims procedures, enabling them to present a compelling case on behalf of the policyholder. By leveraging their expertise, public loss adjusters can often secure higher compensation for policyholders than they would have been able to negotiate on their own.
Managing Documentation and Paperwork
The insurance claims process involves significant documentation and paperwork. Public loss adjusters take on the burden of handling these administrative tasks, ensuring that all necessary documentation is correctly completed, filed, and submitted to the insurance company. This level of organization is essential in avoiding delays and ensuring a smooth claims process.
Conducting Thorough Investigations
Public loss adjusters conduct independent investigations into the circumstances surrounding the claim. They interview witnesses, gather evidence, and collaborate with experts, such as building contractors or medical professionals, to strengthen the claim. By conducting meticulous investigations, they aim to present a comprehensive and accurate picture of the damages and losses suffered by the policyholder.
Providing Support and Guidance
Navigating insurance claims can be overwhelming, especially during challenging times. Public loss adjusters offer invaluable support and guidance to policyholders throughout the claims process. They explain complex insurance jargon, answer questions, and keep policyholders informed at every stage of the process. This support is crucial in alleviating stress and uncertainty for the policyholder.
The Significance of Public Loss Adjusters in Insurance Claims
Expertise and Experience
Public loss adjusters bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the table. They have an in-depth understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and the legal framework governing insurance claims. Their specialized knowledge allows them to navigate complex claims effectively, ensuring policyholders receive fair compensation.
Impartial Representation
Unlike insurance company-appointed adjusters, public loss adjusters are impartial and work solely in the interest of the policyholder. Their allegiance lies with the insured party, not the insurance company, which ensures that the policyholder's rights are protected and that they receive fair treatment during the claims process.
Maximizing Compensation
Public loss adjusters are skilled negotiators who know how to build a compelling case to maximize the compensation for the policyholder. By advocating on behalf of the insured party, they can often secure higher settlements than what the insurance company may initially offer.
Reducing Stress and Burden
Dealing with an insurance claim can be a time-consuming and emotionally draining process. Engaging a public loss adjuster relieves the policyholder of the burden of handling the claim on their own. The adjuster manages the entire process, allowing the policyholder to focus on other priorities.
Faster Claim Settlement
Public loss adjusters have experience in handling claims efficiently and effectively. By streamlining the process and ensuring that all necessary documentation is in order, they contribute to faster claim settlements, enabling policyholders to receive compensation sooner.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the role of a public loss adjuster in navigating insurance claims is of utmost significance in ensuring that policyholders receive fair and accurate compensation for their losses. Their expertise, impartial representation, and negotiation skills are instrumental in maximizing compensation for policyholders and expediting the claim settlement process. Engaging a public loss adjuster provides policyholders with valuable support, reducing the stress and burden associated with handling insurance claims independently. By understanding the role and benefits of public loss adjusters, policyholders can make informed decisions and seek professional representation to safeguard their interests when dealing with insurance claims.

ONLY IN AMERICA
ONLY IN AMERICA - https://keywestlou.com/only-in-america/Credit rating systems, banks, prospective creditors - are not necessarily the best measure of a person's ability to pay. What follows is a perfect example of the statement. It represents an "only in America" happening. Maxwell Frost received national recollection following the November midterm elections. Twenty five years old, he ran for Congress as a Democrat in Republican Florida and won. He will be sworn in January 3. As a Congressman, he will be paid $174,000 a year. Frost obviously in need of a place to live in Washington. He applied for a rental. He told the rental agent he had "really bad" credit. The agent said no problem. Soon thereafter Frost was advised his application had been rejected because of "really bad" credit. Frost claims his credit was bad because he could not work full time and run for Congress. He ran for Congress because he could not get a decent job. In the 1 1/2 years prior to the election, things got so bad he slept in his car for a month. He worked as much as he could while campaigning as a Uber driver. The fact he would begin earning $174,000 immediately after the first of the year was immaterial. Arrest Donald! Throw him in jail! The man is a thief! Forget classified documents, forget his tax cheating. The most recent news re his misappropriations involves one of the United States' most precious documents: The original Declaration of Independence. The document was found in a Trump storage rental in Queens, N.Y. What was it doing there? What motivated Trump to take it? What was his game plan for it? The Declaration of Independence belongs to the people of the United States. Absolutely no question about it. The American people will find his theft of the Declaration of Independence more personally offensive than the classified documents. I repeat, arrest the bastard! Brittany Riner is breathing American air again. Her plane landed early this morning in San Antonio. She is scheduled for a quick medical examination. Then a return to her wife and friends. Welcome home, Brittany! Arizona Senator Krysten Sinema continues her wacky ways. She is no longer a Democrat. She announced she has reregistered as an Independent. Whether she will caucus with the Democrats is unclear. I am sure by the end of this day she will be asked that question by reporters and we will know. I did not like her when she and Joe Manchin danced together the past two years. I still do not like her. She is unreliable. Makes governing difficult. The Senate held a roll call approval vote on a piece of Democratic legislation. An item Democrats and Republicans alike supported. One Republican did not. Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina. The legislation was called the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. It provided basic protections like bathroom breaks, bottled water, and stools for pregnant workers. Tillis is against the legislation. Claims it amounts to funded "abortion on demand." Abortion not even mentioned in the bill. No one except Tillis conceived of a connection. Asinine stupidity continues re the abortion issue. People like Tillis see a problem where none exists. Christmas means Nutcracker Key West. This week today, tomorrow and Sunday at the Tennessee Williams Theater. If you have never enjoyed the show, see it! The Nutcracker is world famous. I first watched it in Utica many years ago. I made a habit of taking each of my three daughters separately when they were young. Probably 8-10 years old. On a Sunday afternoon. It was dress up time. Date time. Following the show, we would go out for hot chocolate. I continued the experience with my granddaughters.  Took Ally years ago to see Nutcracker Key West. Those were the days. Nutcracker Key West is unique. The animals, etc. in the original presentation are replaced by fish, chickens and conch shells. The Key West flavor an appropriate substitute. A holiday classic not to be missed. Two Big East rivals of yesteryear meet tomorrow. Syracuse and Georgetown. One pm. Enjoy your day!

Tumblr media
hongjoong - guilty of being the same way
perhaps the greatest dynamic in your relationship with hongjoong is the fact that the two of you were passionate— sometimes a little too passionate— about work. if it wasn’t you crashing at the studio during ungodly hours to finish work of your own, it’d be him sitting at the edge of the bed on his laptop while you did the same in bed.
it had been one of those nights where there was just too much work for you to put off, so you decided to head over to the studio with piles of paperwork that needed thorough examination and finalisation, knowing that hongjoong would be there with his head buried into his laptop like it’s a substitute for a pillow. by the time you reached the vicinity of the kq building, you felt chillier than usual, and a little lightheaded too. still, you decided to dismiss it as simply being exposed to the cold night air for a little too long.
however, when you finally plopped yourself onto the couch at the studio, your whole body gave in. with your head resting against the pile of paperwork you planned on completing that same night, you struggled to even heave your body into a comfortable lying position. you were starting to believe that your body temperature alone could set both the papers and the couch on fire.
“babe, you ok-” hongjoong’s voice was cut off by a sneeze, coming from none other than himself. he sniffled, eyes widening when he finally turned around, catching sight of your weak figure on the couch. he rushed over despite being tired himself, feeling your forehead with the back of his right hand and furrowing his eyebrows when he realised you were burning up. “you’re having a fever, goodness, y/n,” he said. he sniffled again.
“you don’t sound any better yourself,” you teased, trying to force a chuckle out of yourself but failing. hongjoong shook his head with a sheepish smile.
“we should just go home, shouldn’t we?”
Tumblr media
seonghwa - king of cooing (and baby talk, kind of?)
“does it hurt a lot? oh no, my y/n.” (많이 아파, 자기야? 아이구 우리 (이름)아.)
it took every inch of strength you had to resist rolling your eyes at seonghwa, knowing that he was genuine and only meant the best for you. you watched in silence as he placed a wet cloth against your forehead, not forgetting to plant a kiss on it before doing so.
“hwa, i’m fine, i can wo- what are you doing?” you questioned when he joined you in bed, wrapping you up with the blanket and also his body. he smiled widely when you gave him a puzzled look. “do you not have work?” you asked, though rhetorically.
“no, not today. my baby’s sick,” he murmured, pressing a tender kiss to your cheek.
“keep that up and you’re gonna get yourself sick around me,” you answered, playfully pushing him away. seonghwa responded with a pout, tightening his embrace of you.
“yeah? then let’s get sick together and stay home.”
Tumblr media
yunho - somehow super prepared
you thought you knew yunho well enough up until the day you were bedridden from a fever— the way he showed up with a bag of medicine, going off about how he ‘knew this day would come’.
to be fair, you were a fairly independent person, so you knew how to take care of yourself properly enough that it was rare for you to get so sick. yunho feels guilty about it sometimes, but he really wants to take care of you; so you being sick felt kind of like a moment for him to do so, even though deep down his heart still ached at the sight of your usually energetic self lying motionless in bed.
“hmm, sore throat and a fever, right love?” you nodded at his question, allowing him to grab you a glass of water as he handed you the necessary pills. you downed the medicine along with the glass of water, watching yunho’s eyes almost glint from the corner of your eye.
“are you enjoying this?” you asked jokingly, only to be surprised when yunho scratched his head shyly. you chuckled, opening your arms wide to invite him into a hug.
“hey! i’m the one who’s supposed to be offering you hugs!”
Tumblr media
yeosang - calls his friend for advice
you looked fragile— at least that’s how yeosang perceived you in a state of sickness, having coughing fits every other minute and sniffling every time you breathed. the poor boy frantically handed you your thermos, watching you let the steam rise in an attempt to be rid of your stuffy nose, his eyes trailing your every movement until you placed the thermos on the side table.
after you drifted off to sleep, he’d excuse himself to the bathroom to call his most trusted friend, wooyoung. yeosang’s panic would spread to wooyoung too at first, because he’s too busy stumbling to find the words to describe your situation, exaggerating your condition by a hundred times. when yeosang finally calms down, wooyoung would scold him for scaring him, and then give him ample advice on how to care for you.
“you just need to be there for them, yeosangie. don’t worry, just make sure they’re comfortable,” wooyoung had told him.
by the time he reentered the bedroom, you were sat up, looking around for him tiredly. when you finally saw him, you stretched your arms out, requesting for the comfort of a hug. yeosang happily obliged, shushing and whispering sweet nothings by your ear until you fell back asleep.
“i’m here, i’m here, y/n. don’t worry.”
Tumblr media
san - nagger #1
“i told you not to stay up too late last night!” he spoke, his voice thick with concern. due to being sick, your senses had been dulled just a little, but enough to make you flinch from the sudden raise of his voice. san would realise this, and start apologising profusely, but the nagging also stays, slipped into the gaps of every few sentences he speaks.
while he was very verbal about his concern, he was way too into it to do anything about your actual situation. sure, within the past few minutes, he’d handed you a tissue box and some medicine, but that was about it. it would take him a couple more minutes to realise you were staring at him pleadingly, silently requesting for a glass of water by holding up the pills he had brought you.
san would then stand up wordlessly and fetch you a glass of water. and then he would start apologising again, but this time, he’d keep the ‘i told you’s at minimum. he was just very concerned for your health and overall well-being, because he doesn’t think he can handle seeing you in pain. it brings him enough sorrow to even think of you being any less than happy, especially with him around.
after finally having the medicine, you patted the empty space beside you to invite him into into bed. you spooned him into your arms, giving the back of his head gentle pats to assure him that you were fine.
“sorry, i wasn’t thinking and just got scared for a moment. are you okay, baby?”
Tumblr media
mingi - pouting princess
if there was anything that screamed ‘mingi’, it had to be how great he was at sulking. it rarely happened, but when it did, it would last for no less than 24 hours. so, when you woke up that morning with your entire body feeling sore and your head pounding, you knew mingi was not having it. when he realised you weren’t getting ready for work, his expression changed in an instant.
after making you some porridge, he brought a bowl of it into the bedroom on a tray and kept the same frown on his face as he picked the bowl and spoon up to feed you. you were about to shake your head and insist on eating the food yourself, but you knew better than to do that when mingi was worried.
“you’re going to be late,” you reminded him as he scooped the last spoon of porridge and held it up to your mouth.
“hongjoong hyung will understand,” he replied nonchalantly, his mind visibly cloudy and chest heavy.
“you don’t have to worry about me. it’s just a fever,” you stated. “you should go now,” you added, your eyes softening.
you watched his pout deepen as he set the bowl onto the tray and carried it back to the kitchen. he returned with some medicine and also a bottle of water.
“i love you. don’t worry,” mingi nodded as you spoke, though the pout showed no signs of leaving his face.
“i love you too. call me if it gets worse, okay?”
Tumblr media
wooyoung - nagger #2
in contrast to san, wooyoung nags while actually trying to solve the problem. but he nags all the same.
“yah, listen. what time did you sleep last night?” you heard him speak sternly as he made finishing touches to the chicken soup he started making as soon as he realised you were sick.
“it wasn’t that late, it was like.. i don’t know? 2 am?”
“2 am is late! i was already asleep by then,” he scoffed. you heard the clamour of kitchen utensils as wooyoung grabbed two bowls and a spoon with one hand, the other too busy stirring the pot. you were about to stand up to help him, but he stopped you as soon as you moved. “sit down,” he dragged his words, making it sound more affectionate than angry.
after a few seconds, he brought you a bowl of rice and the soup, placing it in front of you. you threw him an apologetic look before digging in, while he untied the apron from his body and sat down next to you. he swiftly pulled the hair tie off your wrist and combed your hair towards to back, tying it into a messy ponytail; just enough to move your hair out of your face.
“i need to start keeping a better eye on you. how could you get sick on my watch?” he started. he would then proceed to recall all the meals he’d cooked and how he made sure you were well taken care of. you would feel sorry, and he would notice it, so he’d gradually stop talking about it. “sorry, it’s not your fault. i’m sorry,” he said, pressing a kiss to your temple.
“no, you’re right. i shouldn’t have neglected my health for the sake of work,” you replied, sighing.
“ah, what do i do with you, baby? should i take the day off and help you recover?”
Tumblr media
jongho - you’re never getting out of bed
“let me- go,” you whined, coughing as jongho wrapped both his arms and legs across you, strapping you to the bed. he chuckled, he wasn’t even using any of his strength and yet, your sick body was too weak to fight back. “i need to go to work,” you pleaded, throwing him a sad look, pairing it with a pout. jongho physically cringed before shaking his head.
“how could you think of work when you could barely stand up without stumbling?” he questioned, amused. you continued to pout, begging him to let you go to work, but here he was, still caging your body, keeping you in bed. “i am not letting you go anywhere,” he teased, laughing.
“what if i wanna use the bathroom? you want me to pee myself here?” you challenged, eyebrows furrowing.
“don’t be silly,” he laughed again. he moved his legs away, but kept his arms around you, pulling you closer to him.
“it’s okay, i’ll just leave when you leave for work,” you huffed childishly, crossing your arms.
“who says i’m going to work today? we’ll both be staying in bed all day.”

Reviewing Star Trek TNG - S3E12 “The High Ground”
Tumblr media
Sorry this review is a bit later than usual. It was hot as balls yesterday so I couldn't concentrate enough to write it.
Fun fact: Because of this episode's mention of a Irish Unification in 2024 as an example of terrorism succeeding, this episode was edited in the UK and banned in Northern Ireland, and wasn't broadcast in its uncut form until 2006. So that's fun.
It's not like they were unaware of what was going on in Northern Ireland at the time. The episode was specifically rewritten to reflect those conflicts, after all.
THE PREMISE
The Enterprise is sent on a mercy mission to deliver medical supplies to the war-torn non-affiliated planet Rutia IV in the middle of a decades-long conflict with a rebel separatist group called the Ansata. After a bomb goes off in a public plaza, Dr Crusher is abducted by the Ansatan leader, Kyril Finn (played by Richard Cox) to provide the Ansata with a doctor.
When denied the use of the Enterprise's superior firepower (they're unable to interfere due to the Prime Directive), head of security Alexana Devos (played by Kerrie Keane) orders severe interrogation of all known Ansata sympathisers, which the Enterprise crew find immoral. Meanwhile, they try to examine the Ansata's teleportation technology to determine the location of their secret base.
MY REVIEW
It's nice to have an episode focusing on a female character that's actually good for once.
First of all, Crusher's interactions with Finn thankfully does not lead to a romantic subplot. Instead they, y'know, actually further the plot and develop Finn as a character. For one thing, while he's no saint (he did just abduct a woman in the aftermath of a terror attack which he ordered), he still treats her (relatively) well, and sees no reason to harm her.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, he views himself as a latter-day George Washington fighting for freedom and independence. Crusher counters with the fact that Washington was a military general and not a terrorist who killed innocent people. Finn then argues that the difference between a terrorist and a general is a matter of interpretation, and that the Federation has probably done its fair share of killing in the pursuit of peace. He will lay down his life if it sets them free, and there will be a revolution in this century.
Tumblr media
Also, that's two reviews in a row with a Hamilton reference. I should cut back.
In the meantime, Crusher treats the injured (Ansata? Ansatans? What's the right word?) terrorists with the help of stolen Federation medical supplies and a random child, giving us this gem of a quote:
"You could learn to do this when you grow up... if you grow up."
My dude, the kid's right there.
Back on the Enterprise, they're having trouble trying to work out the location of the Ansatan base, but they have determined that they were using interdimensional travel to teleport (it's Star Trek, just go with it) and such a method can eventually prove fatal, hence the Ansata's need for a doctor.
Meanwhile (this episode jumps around a bit), Riker works with Devos to find a lead by arresting suspected Ansata sympathisers, including children, which Riker naturally takes issue with. Devos defends her methods as much less harsh than her predecessors', whose suspects would often never be heard from again.
It's here that we also get some helpful exposition: 70 years ago, the Rutian government denied the Ansata's request for independence (see where the Northern Ireland allegory comes in?), which the Ansata took as ample cause for armed conflict, and now just an excuse for armed violence. Devos also explains that she used to be less passionate about this until a terror attack on a school bus that killed 60 children, caused by a bomb that one of the children was carrying.
...Usually I'd have a joke or something after a line that. But an episode about terrorism doesn't really lend itself well to comedy.
Anyway, the main point of these scenes is to show that, while both are varying degrees of sympathetic, no approach is entirely in the right, including the Federation's continued attempts at diplomacy.
Back to plot stuff.
Tumblr media
Riker gets one of the sympathisers to deliver a message to the Ansata that the Federation is willing to discuss terms for Dr Crusher's release. Unfortunately, Finn doesn't take this well, believing that this means the Federation has sided against them. He instead changes tactics to destroying the Enterprise to get the Federation's attention and force them to intervene. His methods are... highly questionable, but they're asking him to lead, and he's doing the best he can- okay, I'll stop. I promise.
Cut to a group of terrorists shifting onboard the Enterprise.
Tumblr media
Their shifting technology allows them to bypass the transporter and forcefields, so they take out the security and engineering teams and attach a bomb to the main reactor. Fortunately, Geordi removes it and has it beamed out into space. Unfortunately, Finn shifts onto the bridge and kidnaps Picard.
Although he's glad to see that Dr Crusher is okay, the two of them soon clash, with Crusher's talks with Finn giving her doubts on the nature of the Federation's mission. Picard then thankfully reminds her that she is arguing for the man who moments ago almost killed her son.
Tumblr media
Finn comes in and continues to explain his 4D chess strategy by saying that kidnapping a Starfleet captain will force the Federation to get the Rutians to agree to his demands if it means getting their personnel back. This guy's plans are kind of falling apart at this point.
Also, Wesley tracks the shift technology's source back to the Ansata base. That was a whole-ass subplot that I didn't really want to get into, but it's important to know, cuz it means that a Federation/Rutian rescue team heads over there.
Long story short, they attack the base, and Devos shoots Finn before he can kill Picard.
Tumblr media
"As a prisoner he would have been a focus for violence as his followers tried to free him. Now, he's a martyr."
...You do know that martyrs tend to inspire their followers instead of discouraging them, right?
Then a boy listens to Dr Crusher and refrains from killing Devos, with Riker musing that the violence could stop if more people were willing to make that change.
Because the apparent lesson to learn from all of this is that... killing is bad... and we should stop doing it.
Tumblr media
You almost had something there. You were really close to making an interesting point.
The episode ends with Dr Crusher reuniting with Wesley on the Enterprise bridge. Happy ending for all, as long as you ignore the ongoing terrorist conflict on the planet they're warping away from.
7/10 - Presents some interesting ideas, even if the execution is a bit muddled in places.

Hello! Can I have some hc with a protective mama Reader with Naib, Helena and Bane. They are my precious baby. I haven't play this game since season 13 and I miss them so much ahhhhhhh 😭😭. Thank you, have a nice day ❤❤🌷 (sr, my English is not good)
✨ Your English is wonderful dear ✨
[Naib Subedar, Helena Adams, Gamekeeper] S/O Is Overprotective
Tumblr media
✨ As a reminder, my works will always include gn!reader unless specified by the requester! ✨
———————————————————————
[Naib Subedar]:
* You had been at the manor for quite awhile now, and were a rather nice person, getting along with most other survivors, and even some of the hunters to boot.
* It was quite surprising actually. You’d walked in the first day with a tough-guy attitude and gruff personality, and you didn’t seem like a very approachable person.
* Then, some survivors such as Victor and Emily started worming their way into your heart. Liam [Lucky Guy] and Norton were some of the first people to offer you a seat at the dinner table, and from then on you were one of them.
* You had scars, though most could tell they were more physical than emotional, from some sidejobs you used to complete for a gang on White Sand Street—robbing people and competing in fights with rivals.
* You quickly learned that most people fought back. Rival gangs always intruded on your own territory, and you were always left on guard, defending the last remnants of your livelihood and your sanity.
* Maybe that’s why you’re so protective over your things. Never letting anyone enter your room, never letting anyone see the pain you hide. Opening up to people enough to make allies, but never enough to show secrets.
* Now Naib…. Naib helped you out a lot. It seemed he understood you, far more than others. For some reason, he was always there for you, watching your back when needed, acting like a shield at times—sometimes literally.
* You never really understood at first, how he seemed to know you so well. From what you knew, he came from halfway cross the world, from Nepal, in India—a child, a soldier, a weapon.
* You guessed his life was rather similar, and assumed he’d come to the manor for quite the same reasons but, it was hard to see through the scowl on his face.
* At some point, you began to recognize the signs, the irritation, the avoidance. You recognized the silence, and the stiffness that came from Naib when he ate and smiled and nodded at their questions. You saw the signs of a brother, somebody just as lost and broken as you were.
* Children in the bodies of adults, forced to live life too fast and too furiously. Damaged and done in, waiting for someone to save them, but too scared to cry for help.
* Unwilling to hurt others again, unwilling to change.
* You grew wary—observant—of him eventually. You joined in more matches with him as teammate, and sat next to him often at dinner. When you noticed he didn’t eat as much, you grunted in concern. When he fell asleep in odd places, you’d bring him a blanket.
* It got to the point where he found out about your help, and tried to dissuade you from wasting your time.
* You never really listened. In fact, your worries only increased. Others might not have recognized, but you saw the signs of fatigue and death written in the lines of his face. You’d seen it every day back on White Sand.
* He gave up on making you give up, tired of attempted persuasions. Eventually began returning the favours—Naib is the type to have a ‘you watch my back, I’ll watch yours’ mentality.
* Everything you’d do for him is returned in kind. It annoyed the rest of the manor to no end because the giving and receiving eventually reached limits unheard of.
* You’d throw yourself on a rocket chair to save him, and next game you’d have your own personal bodyguard tracking your every move.
* He’d never admit it, but he appreciates all you do for him, and hopes you appreciate his efforts in making your life a little better too.
* Though your protective tendencies know no bounds, he hopes you’re a little more cautious with throwing your life on the line for him like that. This is a death game after all, be more careful…. please?
* At some point, the whole manor hopes you two could just get together and kiss it out in some storage closet. If you’re dating, what’s the need to be so consistent in you’re protective tendencies? Then you’ll always be together, which means nothing can ever happen to either of you!
* To be fair, that’s what most of them thought until an incident after the confession, where Naib wouldn’t let you out of the medical ward for a week due to a few hairline fractures.
* Please Naib! Emily begs you to let her use the examination table! You’ve hogged it for 5 days and she needs it to identify the infection spreading on Aesop’s leg! Vera broke her nose! William sprinted into the gymnasium wall and shattered his kneecaps! Please leave!
* You once set fire to a couch because Naib stubbed his toe on it.
* Please stop it you two, Freddy can’t budget for anymore furniture, and we’re fresh out of chairs.
———————————————————————
[Helena Adams]:
* Oops! Oh no her glasses! Aww shucks, Norton knocked them right off her face and onto the hardwood floor. She can’t find them because she can’t see, whatever shall she do?
* [S/o]! Please, she needs your help!
* You come in running with a pair of pliers, five bottles of anti-grease spray, and a box of extra lenses and a screwdriver.
* Oh how wonderful! You fixed her glasses—again—and saved her from the task of shuffling herself on all fours looking for them! Her hero!
* Helena…. praises you to say the least. You’re her best friend, her confidante, her…. big and strong, sometimes dumb partner!
* She adores everything you do for her, and tries equally as hard to do things for you that make your life necessarily easier, though it’s harder with her condition.
* She met you around the same time as everybody else, during your first days in the manor. Really, she didn’t actually know you were there until she bumped into a voice she didn’t recognize and became surprised.
* You quickly learned about her blindness, and made it your goal to form a friendship with her based on your willingness to help her around and get closer to her—she was very kind after all.
* Your protectiveness stemmed from the inherent feeling of a need to help guide and provide for Helena, much like a spouse would… jk, unless 👀….
* At some points, you were berated by her for your incessant protections, most of which made her feel highly dependent, which she didn’t like.
* She liked the feeling of being independent of others and being recognized as an autonomous, capable being. Especially considering what she came there for, it was a blow to her pride to be led around and pushed aside all the time.
* When she revealed these feelings to you, you had surprisingly promised her to cease in most areas of monitoring—however you still consistently check up on her—and settled into the realm of a relationship with her.
* Helena meets somebody who respects her opinions + acknowledges her intellect + isn’t a dingy asshole? Sign her up and slap on a ring, she’s marrying this person (eventually).
* She knows that your tendencies stem from a place of need and want, and tolerates most of them. Deep down, she likes being taken care of by someone who knows she can take care of herself. She really does love you.
* When you’re actually in a relationship with each other, you make sure to watch each others backs, more so you than Helena (because she can’t ‘watch’ per say), but you get the point.
* There was once an incident in a duo’s match where Helena became stranded on the Lakeside Fishing map. The terrain is rough, with piles of fish everywhere, randomly placed boxes and walls, and the barrels are bad enough when they don’t form a blockade.
* Her navigational skills, as good as they are with all her previous experience and staff, couldn’t for the life of her figure out how to move her way around a mess of box paths, pallets, and fishing stands.
* Most other survivors were occupied or dead—it had been a hard match against Jack the Ripper and Guard 26—and she was barred from reaching any form of help.
* So she screamed your name as loud as she possibly could across the map, and ended up attracting the attention of BonBon instead. During those moments where she could hear his clanks and heavy metalloid footsteps stalking towards her, the tick of a time bomb in hand, she heard a screech in the distance.
* A fierce battlecry—you came raging from around a windmill, propelled by William’s football and packing heat with a flare gun. BonBon, now stunned twice, stood there in astonishment, before chasing after you, who had grabbed Helena in your arms, running off at full speed.
* Your stamina bar, indicated by a small tab on your character, was running low, and you wouldn’t be able to run at full speed for another minute or two, having used your ability to buy time. Stopping near a closet, you lean down to place Helena on her feet, telling her to hide.
* Her blood trail was invisible from not actually having run anywhere, and she did as you said, making you promise to come get her when it was safe.
* You gave her a smirk and a small nod, assuring her that you would, before leaning in for a peck on the forehead as you shoved her into the locker.
* If only you could see her flushed in embarrassment.
* Leaving her to fangirl in the locker, you form a decoy in your arms—result of your max rescuer ability—and ran off once more, taking off around a corner just as Guard 26 reached your previous location, chasing after you and ‘Helena’ in hopes of landing two more kills.
———————————————————————
[Bane the Gamekeeper]:
* How does it feel to love a deerman? Good? Okay!
* Bane as you know is a little…. rough around the edges so-to-speak, and he has a lot of edges.
* Once you get around all the hooks, chains, and bear traps, and beneath that creepy-looking deer head of his, he really is such a sweet guy!
* At least you think so. In reality, he still acts like a complete dick to everybody else, and only shows his soft side around you, but that’s because he knows he can trust you with his lands, animals, and secrets! All those others out there only wish to hurt what he—you—have, and he’ll make them pay for it.
* Honestly, in order for him to have fallen for you so hard to have let his guard down around you, you probably would have had to be at your most vulnerable point in life, or a hunter yourself. Like a scared prey animal, uncertain of its future, waiting for something to happen, and somebody to help, or a huge predator, ready to strike out at any moment.
* Once you worm your way into his cold dead heart, there’s no way out for you. He’ll keep you close, as he doesn’t want you to be poached away like his precious animal friends from the past. He knows how cruel humanity can be sometimes.
* When you come to find out about his less-than-kind history, it’s all you can do to pity him. Your sympathy knows no bounds, and you become clingier, though he quite honestly likes it.
* You don’t want what happened to him to occur again, and with all these other traitors and murderers in the manor, you’re afraid of what the others could do.
* You keep to his side a lot more, take walks with him in the garden, and enjoy tranquil picnics from time-to-time on Lakeside. Anything to keep him close to you and away from all the pain.
* Bane can obviously see what your doing, and noticing that your protectiveness doesn’t yet border on the insane, he allows you to continue in your devotions.
* It’s honestly sweet sometimes how you both adore each other so much, even if you know that one day one or both of you will have to leave. Whether it be through death, disappearance, or another means such as escape is a question of time, and one that neither of you know the answer to.
* If you’re also a hunter, than both of you know that while you two are happier now than either of you were in life, that your individual deaths and worths will eventually determine your fates—whether that be a happy afterlife, or an eternity of endless wandering.
* It’s well known that you’ll both disappear the day the game ends, your souls being put to rest as they should’ve been however long ago. Until then however, you’ll continue to hold on to and vehemently protect the relationship the two of you have, and you’ll fight until your soul vanishes from the earth for what you have to remain that way.
* Now, if you’re a survivor, this is where the relationship can be a bit difficult.
* Avidly defending the actions of your boyfriend during and after a match to the rest of your survivor buddies isn’t a very good look for you, or your reputation. It’s been many times where you’ve almost been chased out of the dining room because somebody was pissed at you for costing them the match, or being the only one spared instead of convincing Bane for a win or tie.
* As they say, if you can’t beat em’, join em’. Some survivors, such as William, Kreacher, and Freddy, have more than once suggested that if you loved a hunter so much, you should become one to be with him. Dating the undead almost crosses the line of what is humane. Aesop thinks you’re kind of cool.
* The hunters over on Bane’s side hate you more. Are convinced that you’re the sole reason that Bane goes friendly sometimes (even in matches without you in them), and that your relationship takes away from his brutal and violent persona and nature.
* Violetta and Michiko are the most tolerant of you, mainly because you gifted them silk and a hand fan for Christmas once when they wished for them in their letters.
* All-in-all, basically everyone blames you, but you keep going forward because who cares about all the nasty bi*ches in the world, am I right?
* Once, to prove the integrity and devotion of your relationship, you set Freddy’s room on fire and locked Kreacher in a closet. You looked Bane directly in the eyes and kneeling before him stated, “I have committed arson for you m’lord.”
* You couldn’t see it because of his deerish head and all, but Bane really went “Heart eyes motherf*cker.” on you in that moment.
* You love animals and set things on fire to prove your loyalty to him? Ticket for one please, he’s riding the simp train all the way to the station.
* Just, please don’t accidentally burn down the manor, he wants to spend as much time with you as possible before he disappears.
* Also don’t joke around with your life, it’s too precious, even when you tackle your own teammate or risk getting hit by Ganji’s cricket ball to save him from being stunned.
* He doesn’t want you dying before he does—has already he supposes—or disappearing without a trace.
* You promise you’ll stick with him until the day you finally leave this wretched place.

✨ Hope you enjoyed ✨

The An Alternative Choice Of Private Healthcare Cover
The Single Strategy To Use For Going Private If You Don't Have Health InsuranceThe Single Strategy To Use For Guide To The Healthcare System In England - Gov.ukDo I Need A Gp Referral For Private Treatment? - Nhs Can Be Fun For EveryoneThe Single Strategy To Use For Accessing Private Healthcare - Nuffield HealthFind out more about registering. Find out about exemptions. CQC advice for the nations Choosing your premises One of the major issues to be addressed by practitioners creating a new practice is location. There are three main options where consultants can practise privately: in rooms provided in a private or NHS hospital; in dedicated consulting rooms; or in a part of their own home. Guide To Health Insurance And Healthcare System In The Uk Fundamentals ExplainedIt is worth researching the average cost per session for consulting in private hospitals in different regions, and, if the decision is made to consult in a private hospital, then an application for practising privileges at the hospital will need to be made. It should also be kept in mind that the GMC states that where a doctor has a financial interest, they must disclose this information to the patient before making the arrangements for admission or treatment, and this includes any financial interest in a private hospital. Purchasing the freehold of a property will require a substantial capital outlay and is best achieved by practitioners coming together to form a company. In this way, practitioners may purchase the freehold or lease, together with the necessary equipment, and employ staff on a shared basis. In larger cities, however, fully equipped consulting rooms are often available by lease or license. Practising from home will cut down travelling costs and bring entitlement to tax relief in respect of heating, lighting, décor etc. but it could be disruptive to the home routine. Some specialities will clearly be more suited to practising at home, whereas for others it will not be practical. Any doctor thinking of practising at home will need to consult their accountant in order to determine what tax advantages are available. The Best Strategy To Use For Self-pay Private Healthcare - Bupa Uk Purchasing an existing practice Another way to establish a private practice is to buy an existing one, for example from a retiring specialist or GP. This would include purchasing not just the equipment, facilities and the lease or freehold of a property, but also the 'goodwill' attached to an existing client base. An accountant should be consulted to calculate the value of the goodwill attached to a practice. The general factors to be considered in the valuation would include: the nature and history of the practice current economic outlook earning capacity of the practice comparative sales figures. It is important to note that there are some restrictions on the sale of goodwill for GPs who also hold an NHS contract. Working from your premises Practice administration Once a private practice premise has been set up, you need to find the right stationery and equipment. The documentation, storage and retrieval of information relating to private patients should be of a high standard and comparable to that provided by the NHS. You should consider ordering: good quality headed paper account forms consultation patient notepads folders visiting cards. Once established in a new premise, it is perfectly acceptable to circulate an introduction letter to doctors in the area. Health and safety at work It is important to remember that doctors setting up a practice will need to be responsible for the use of their premises as a business. 7 Simple Techniques For Private Medical Insurance - Health Insurance - Choosing The ... In addition, by inviting patients onto the premises for consultations, doctors could be held liable for any injury sustained as a result of inadequate premises or equipment. The local authority will be able to advise on any planning restrictions or health and safety regulations that apply. Doctors should be aware of, and seek advice on the following: Promoting your services Advertising If you’re looking to promote your private practice and services, you can advertise on the internet, in newspapers or magazines, in a practice leaflet, or via an editorial or news piece in a newspaper. Advertising material, such as business cards, however, should not be given to any NHS patients you have, as this could be perceived as using NHS patients to promote private practice. Marketing strategies As with any business, it is important to be aware of your target audience and how to reach them. When looking to pay for private healthcare services, patients look for personalised medical care, so you could consider promoting: easy or same day access to expert medical care availability and ability to choose timings and location choice of a named consultant and the same consultant at each visit one-stop investigation and specialised examination access to innovative diagnostics, drugs, procedures impeccable personal attention 24-hour cover independence of system and choice, not state determined adequate time spent with doctors centres of excellence with sub-specialist expertise individually tailored, fixed price, end-to-end care packages aimed at conditions not well catered for in the NHS faster diagnosis and treatment hotel services (eg wider menus, WIFI, Sky, complimentary gifts). Going Private If You Don't Have Health Insurance Fundamentals ExplainedThere are also organisations that specialise in managing marketing and media for private healthcare, so you could consider contacting an expert to take care of this for you. Consultant fees Consultants are free to set their own charges for private medical procedures but are prohibited from discussing fee rates with their colleagues - unless they are in a legally binding partnership or a limited company - due to restraints under competition law. The Buzz on Get The Best Private Health Insurance - Which? - Expert Testing ... Some Known Questions About Foreign Travel Insurance - Gov.uk.What to keep in mind when charging a fee Charges should be representative of what is fair remuneration for the service, and should be based on your circumstances such as experience, effort, skills and resources applied. It is good practice to make sure that that all fees are agreed in writing prior to treatment. What AXA PPP and BUPA require from doctors In July 2008, AXA PPP introduced new terms of recognition for approved specialists. These terms of recognition state that specialists must charge at the rates outlined in the AXA PPP fee schedule. Doctors seeking recognition with AXA PPP therefore need to be fully aware that they will only be able to charge at the AXA PPP fee rates when treating patients with AXA PPP insurance, and that charging above these rates will result in de-recognition.

Commodore Norrington x Reader Fic! Chapter 2
Dearest Readers: If you are in Galveston or the coast of Louisiana, please make sure you are safe! Please, no one worry about me, I’m in Oklahoma, safe from Hurricane Laura. I know a lot about Galveston because I visit regularly, and it’s where my grandma was born and raised, and grandpa was stationed in the Coast Guard. A lot of my family history took place on the island!
Title: The Same Water
Genre: Romance, Supernatural
Rating: General Audiences thus far.
Warnings: Mentions of trauma, drowning, and racism.
Summary: Commodore Norrington washes up on the shore and you must find out why.
Notes: I intentionally kept the main character ambiguous (but female) so readers can fill themselves in!
The next morning, Jericka and I visited the man. We sat mostly in silence.  I barely registered the bustle of the hospital and the beeping of the machines he was connected to. I was still buzzing from yesterday. I was still in a bit of shock about what had happened and was trying to process it. He was on an IV drip of saline, a nasal cannula, and a heart monitor.
“Good morning, ladies!” Dr. Greg said, cheerfully, a chart in his hand. “So, I ran his blood sample, and it yielded interesting results. This man has no titers for anything we currently vaccinate for, but he has antibodies for smallpox. Thus, I can assume he was never vaccinated but survived smallpox.”
Jericka whispered in my ear, eagerly, “I’m telling you! He was a part of that mess my nana told me about! I bet he was the Admiral! What’s the more likely scenario here?”
“I dunno. Maybe he’s Amish or something,” I shrugged. I turned back to Dr. Greg, “What do you think it means?”
“Logically, I would say his parents didn’t believe in the efficacy of vaccinations.” He answered.
“Or they weren’t invented yet,” Jericka muttered.
The man started coughing. Dr. Greg rushed to his side.
“It’s okay, sir, we’re taking care of you. You’re at the University of Texas Medical Branch. My name is Dr. Greg. We’ve got you on supplemental oxygen and IV fluids.” He said in a calm voice as he checked the man’s vitals manually, even though the machines were monitoring him. “Can you tell us your name?” He asked.
“Norrington…James.” The man answered, and I was able to register an English accent. He opened his eyes, still confused.
“Good, do you know what day it is, James?”
“May…1729.”
The doctor chuckled, “No, not quite. Do you know who the president is?”
Norrington had slipped back into unconsciousness. Dr. Greg continued to check over him before saying, “He’s getting stronger. I expect him to be in and out today, but tomorrow is a new day.”
After Dr. Greg left, I scrambled to my phone.
“Google his name! Google! Google it!” Jericka ranted.
“I am, I am!” I said, typing the name.
I hit pay dirt. He had a Wikipedia article and dozens of other sources. “James Norrington was an officer of the British Royal Navy and the East India Trading Company. Bewigged and resplendent in his uniforms, Norrington owed his allegiance to King George II. Norrington took pride in his service to others before himself, showing a strong dedication to the law, until the occasions of pursuing the right course that demanded acts of piracy.” I read it aloud.
I continued scrolling with Jericka watching. I skimmed the article. It talked about his early life in London, the notable battles and commendations he earned. I scrolled back up to the biographical information bar. I had purposely ignored looking at the painting of Admiral James Norrington because I wasn’t ready to confirm if the man in the hospital bed was him or not until now.
I stood up and held my phone up to his face against the painting on the article. Jericka’s eyes widened, and my heart raced.
“It’s him,” I said.
“Am I in the colonies?” He asked, not opening his eyes. I must have jumped a foot back, not expecting him to reawaken so soon.
“Yeah, well, sort of,” I answered.
“The colonies declared independence in 1776. There are fifty more called the United States of America. It’s currently the year 2020.” Jericka explained.
“Do you understand what’s going on?” I asked gently.
“Indeed,” He answered and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes.
“You’ve must have seen some things if you’re taking this news so calmly,” Jericka said.
Norrington remained quiet, the far-off look of stoic contemplation on his face. Jericka and I gave him his space to sort it all out but stayed close to keep him company. Dr. Greg returned a little before lunch to check on him and was happy to see him awake. He pulled us aside into the hallway after a quick examination of Norrington’s reflexes and cognition.
“I am releasing him into your care tomorrow. If desired, of course. We’ll continue an investigation, maybe he’ll turn out to be a missing John Doe, but since no foul play is suspected, it’s not likely to go anywhere. Here’s some information about services that can help him.”
I took the information, “I’ll take him. I have an extra room.” I didn’t even look at them. I wasn’t about to let him get lost in the system and fall through the cracks. This was something extraordinary. I couldn’t bear for him to be treated like a freak show.
When the nurse came in with lunch, Jericka and I excused ourselves to the cafeteria.
“We’ve got to get him some clothes. He can’t run around in that hospital gown, and his uniform is at the police station being tested for fibers and whatnot.” I said, toying with an empty bottle of water.
“Dang. How do we dress a high-class guy from the 1700s?” Jericka asked, eating a bag of chips. “Whose closet do we raid? Our dad’s or our grandpa’s?”
“I dunno, but the Coast Guard Station over on Fort Point Road is looking pretty good. Think they’ll let us use their uniforms?” I joked.
“I’d think he’d miss the brocade and feathers,” Jericka said, popping a chip into her mouth.
I sighed, “Well, I’m heading over to Houston, maybe I can find something. Can you sit with him?”
“Yeah, of course.”
As I drove over the causeway that connected the Island of Galveston to the mainland, I thought about how I would explain things to Admiral Norrington. How would I explain a car? Electricity? I barely knew how such things worked. Maybe I needed to get him a book.
I had to guestimate his sizes; I didn’t want to embarrass him by outright asking him. I could tell he was very reserved, even for someone from his time. I went for conservative styles and patterns, quality, and modesty. Even men back then tended to cover up. I had to balance the Texas heat against it. I made sure to have a fair amount of navy blue, gold, and white.
I found several outfits that I knew he’d look good in and hoped he found comfortable. He was a very handsome man with aquiline features, short chestnut hair, and beautiful eyes. I suppose the powdered wig he wore in his portrait did not make it.
After procuring his clothes and other sundries, I zipped over to Barnes and Noble for a history book. I settled on a hefty book by the Smithsonian that spanned the dawn of humanity up until the present day; well, 2015.
On the way back over the causeway, I had to wonder about what I would do with him come Monday when I went to work. Would he be okay on his own? Should I take the day off? I didn’t want to smother him or disrespect his abilities. Maybe it was a good thing he was a high-ranking military man, they were logical, right? He would probably be okay.
I found Jericka in the hallway upon arriving back at the hospital, “Has he said anything?”
She shrugged, “Not really. He’s still processing everything. They’re taking him off all those machines and IV right now.”
After the nurses left, Jericka and I entered his room. He was looking at his hand where the IV was.
“Hello, Admiral. We never got a chance to introduce ourselves.” I introduced myself and Jericka. “Tomorrow, you’ll come home with me if that’s alright with you.”
He nodded, “I suppose that is for the best, but don’t call me Admiral. James will suffice.”
Jericka and I were surprised that he didn’t want to be addressed by his title. I decided not to question it. “I got you some clothes and this,” I said, pulling out the book and handed it to him. He looked at it with interest and immediately started flipping pages. “It’s the history of the world. Of course, you can ask either of us anything.”
Jericka nodded earnestly.
“I appreciate your charity,” Norrington replied. “I endeavor not to be a burden.”
“No, no, no! Never think that.” I said.
“Yeah, you’re stuck with us.” Jericka teased.
Jericka and I vowed that nothing would happen to this man.
James was released the following evening. He was dressed in the new clothes I bought for him. He looked perfect in them and didn’t seem to mind them. I must have done well!
As we were walking out of the hospital, there was crowding at the door. It was a going home celebration. James and I smushed ourselves against the wall, waiting for the ado to die down, and we could leave.
A patient was wheeled in from the opposite corridor. We watched as a nurse wheeled him to the edge of the entryway. On new titanium legs, this man stood and walked out with his family. He was in the Navy; I could tell by the signs his family and care team were holding.
I could tell this experience moved James, he wanted to say something to the young soldier but thought better of it.
I purposely kept the car ride as underwhelming as possible. I turned the radio off and kept the A/C blowing gently. He seemed to be taking it all in stride, learning from my actions.
James mostly watched the water as we drove the short drive home, occasionally interested in the wide range of vehicles on the road; cars, trucks, vans, golf carts, motorcycles, and four-seater bikes.
“I see that the seagulls and pelicans are just as intrusive as always.” He commented, watching a horde of seabirds steal tourists’ food.
I giggled, enjoying the familiarity. We had something in common, and it was a link to his past.
Home was a raised bungalow on a heavily tree-lined street.
James looked at the stilts it rested on, “For flooding?” He asked.
“Exactly. Galveston has had several bad hurricanes hit, but the house has weathered them all. It’s up high enough that you can go around back and see a bit of the Gulf.”
I showed James to the guest room and how a modern home worked. After dinner, I gave him his space. Around midnight, I heard a door sensor chime. I found James sitting on the balcony, watching the ocean ebb and flow. I sat down across from him.
“How are you doing?”
“It’s overwhelming.” He answered, “I have so much to learn, new vocabulary, all the major events. I cannot fathom how much progress I have missed, but the ocean is the same, and I take comfort in that.”
“Well, if you’d like, we can get out on the water tomorrow. I’ll show you around the island.”
“You know how to sail?”
I laughed, “No, my boat has an engine, but I assure you that the art of sailing by wind has not been lost yet.”
For the first time, I saw a genuine smile on his face, “I’d like that.”
I endeavored to make him smile that cute boyish smile as much as possible.
