Bro I was reenacting the "Just So" clip while I was putting away the dishes and when Frank yelled at Barnaby I was gonna say "oi fuck you" y'know because I was being silly but what came out was an almost PERFECT imitation of Barnaby's voice- I couldn't even finish the "fuck you" because I broke down laughing

Btw the reason this is so funny is because I'm a 5'2" Latino AFAB with NO experience in voice acting whatsoever yet for some reason the spirit of Giant Blues Clues decided my vocal chords were the PERFECT place to set up real estate

Honestly, Baron didn't expect his day start with Haru slamming into the Bureau with a 'stranger' following her, saying that this person needed their help.

Baron didn't mind, really. He adored Haru for always helping people in need whenever she could…. Did Haru say she found him inside her room? Watching her sleep???

Zenth Wizdom, he told his name.

From his appearance, it was clear that he was from another world and seemed to hold a higher status from the way he spoke. Zenth explained that he came from a dream, which is why he ended up in Haru's room. Muta said it didn't make sense, and Baron kind of agreed with him. Why Haru? Was this guy the one Haru had dreamt about? Baron glared at him.

Sensing his agitation, Haru immediately stated that she didn't remember dreaming about him. However, she did catch a glimpse of him. Zenth chuckled, casually and shamelessly admitting that he watched her dream because it seemed interesting. He said this as he glanced at the gentleman cat. Okay, that sounded creepy, everyone agreed. Zenth only stared in confusion, saying he always watched people dream in his spare time and saw nothing wrong with it as long as he didn't interfere.

Well, that failed, knowing he was with them now.

Baron tried not to lunge at him after hearing the story, forgetting the fact that he was curious about Haru's dream. Zenth didn't sound like a danger. No, he was honest, VERY honest, and it pissed him off.

It looked really ridiculous; Zenth was a nice guy, always smiling, with an undertone of innocence about him. He was also a gentleman. Baron didn't understand why he needed to be cautious, especially when he saw how happy Haru looked talking to this person. Baron didn't understand why he clenched his fist every time Zenth made Haru laugh—they seemed close. He felt ignored.

Then, the icy blue eyes met his.

"Don't be jealous, Baron. I'm not interested in her that way," Zenth said, still smiling.

A sigh of relief… huh, why did he feel relieved knowing that?

It didn't last long when Zenth opened his mouth again. "But I like her enough to make me want to visit her dreams every night." There was no smugness or arrogance in his tone; he just stated it, and his smile remained genuine.

Ok, Baron couldn't stand this guy.

Surprise for Morgana

Morgana sat by the window of the attic, observing what he can outside that can be overlooked from it, the people walking, the buildings, the darkening sky as dusk approaches. It was a good way to pass the time with, though there wasn't anything much he can do with this annoying cat form of his, and with Ren hanging out with Ryuji, he's left to just stay at home.

Morgana huffed, which is his way of sighing in this form. Staying at home is somewhat stuffy although it does give him enough peace and quiet to think more about what to do next for the Phantom Thieves, he may not have all his memories yet, he still has his intuition. And so far it proved to be rather accurate, in fact, currently his intuition is telling him that Ren's new friend is more than meets the eye.

Kaito Kuroba, a new friend that Ren made by walking around in Shibuya. The two hit it off well even by their first meeting so they exchanged numbers. Ren has a way of meeting new people and Kaito seems just as delighted to have met someone new just as well. It was a chance encounter that the two were more than happy with. Morgana was too, it's always nice to see Ren getting along with other people outside of his usual group. Although, there was just something about Kaito that Morgana can't quite put a finger on it— or in his case, a paw.

Kaito met up with them from time to time too, he seems to be good at observing people, is highly skilled with his hands considering the magic tricks he loves to show-off sometimes, he seems to have skills that'll be incredibly useful for the Phantom Thieves. Then again, he's also mischievous, annoying, a pain in the neck, and has Morgana said annoying yet?

Whenever he comes by he would always tease me! He's way worse than Ryuji especially since I can't even talk to him the same way I can talk to the others! He's frustrating to be around with, who said he could be helpful, forget about that, I would rather not be in the same room as that guy!

Morgana's tail flicked about as his thoughts drifted to the many times Kaito messed with him. Just as his annoyance rose, he heard what seemed to be faint sounds of footsteps climbing the stairs. His ears perked at the sound of it, expectant that Ren is back home, he jumped down preparing to greet him.

“Hey Morgana! I got a surprise for you!” Ren's voice called from the stairs.

Morgana tilted his head, confused at what the surprise was, although he also couldn't help feeling a bit excited from Ren's own excitement.

“Geez, you didn't have to get me something! But glad that you're ba—”

Morgana wanted to act cool by seeming to not be interested at all, but his attempt was abruptly stopped by what greeted him next. It was Kaito that appeared from the stairs.

Huh???

He walked past him, confused as to where Ren was, he looked down the stairs, but he was no where to be found.

But I heard his voice…?

Kaito's laugh brought Morgana's attention back to him, he wore a wide grin on his face. “Look at you being so confused! You sounded so excited too!”

No way… Did he… imitated Ren's voice?!

“Well, Renren may not be here but I wasn't lying about having a surprise for you!” Kaito held up a package, one that Morgana knows all too well. After all, it was from the sushi place they once visited. He remembered that the takeout was instead given away, when it was something he had been looking forward to.

Is that…

“There's fatty tuna here too.” Kaito winked at him.

“Fatty tuna!!!" Morgana exclaimed, though it only came off as a loud excited meow towards Kaito.

Kaito laughed, “You're a really smart cat! Come on, you can have a piece while we wait for Renren.”

Well, maybe he wasn't as annoying as Morgana first thought.

Thank you. 😭 It's been absolute hell and we feel like the walking dead, but at least no hospital so that's a plus, and there's small improvements every day even if I'm going slowest. I suspect those improvements are due to the socks, without them I'd be dead. 😆

As for the beep, hilariously (but not really), if you turn the volume all the way up on the Cato Delivering Socks video, at exactly the one second mark you can hear the dreaded hellish Beep from the detector, despite the vid being filmed from the first floor and the beep being in the attic (3rd floor). So it has continued to beep. Ironically, I've been so sick that I've slept through it easier as long as I had ear plugs in and remained drugged to the gills with cold medicine. That won't last once I'm feeling better but at this point I'll take it.

my cats are so funny with how they meow. one of them likes to yowl at the top of her lungs if someone isn't in her line of sight for longer than 5 minutes (and then when we check on her she just wants to show us her toy or make us give her treats or something). the other one likes to trill when she's happy and (to her disadvantage) is extremely cute when she's mad because she has the most adorable growls ever. the third one doesn't even meow he just makes weird noises that kinda sounds like a guy being strangled

Got tired of playing around with the elf boy in the character creator (I think I'll go with wine red hair) and hopped over to benchmark to test what I could do with N'jinh. And I think it turned out pretty nice. Def some changes (it's a completely different base), but I feel like he doesn't look like, too unfamiliar to me. Like I can still recognize that yeah, it's my smug boy, just with a new coat of paint on top and a few structural fixes.

^ Here's how he used to look. I made his blue eye a bit lighter shade, changed the red around eyes to more pink shade, and ofc switched the base. He actually has pvp hair right now, and I thiiiink I'm gonna go stick with that, but he looks good with his old hair too. Only complaint I have is that I reaaaally wanted him to have a scar in different place :/ Don't need the lip scar anymore with his lore changes, but would've loved if face 1 had some scar that runs across the bridge of his nose. He would've absolutely rocked that.

Also hair is different shade. I like the warmer shade old hair has, buuuuut it has the unfortunate effect of looking like this if there's any sun to be found:

So uh, I have to make a choice if I want to go with new hair or get flashbanged every time I try to gpose him outside like I do now.

It's a great way to check body condition, too. Are bones too prominent? Are they getting fat? Is there a lump that's shown up? Slight changes can be impossible to see under fur and human fingers are really sensitive. You can even feel if the coat is too greasy or is too brittle and catch things before they become a major or chronic problem.

Plus animals don't think "This human is physically touching me but not brushing or licking me so it's not proper grooming" because you can't anthropomorphize animals. They find it pleasurable and that's all that matters to them.

Us humans know it's grooming and bonding and all that but if animals think anything it's "I enjoy this experience". Function doesn't matter, nor does the evolutionary route to it, it's enjoyable and that's what matters. If a domesticated animal didn't enjoy it, they wouldn't be there unless they were physically forced. Wild animals... don't be petting wild animals but there's no shortage of documentation about them also seeking out other species or using the environment because it feels good to be scratched in places you can't reach, especially if you don't have hands.

I've seen posts going around claiming that petting animals is basically tricking them into thinking they're being groomed, and it's bugging me because, like, there's no trickery afoot. Petting and scritching are grooming activities. They help to dislodge loose fur and foreign objects and more evenly distribute protective oils, among other things. Primates are social groomers, and the human impulse to scritch is the legacy of our primate ancestors. We see an animal we like, even a dangerous one, and the monkey brain says "groom that thing".
