in general it seems like robin lives has a lot more compassion that many dc stories now do. jason's not useless or a waste of batman's time because he hasn't recovered. forcing himself despite not being ready yet is seen as a mistake but he's not being judged for it, for once. we see a doctor crying over the joker's lack of healing.
