not to be dramatic but sometimes i think that one of the cruelest things the feds ever did was make jaiden and roier parents to different kids after purgatory.

in general it seems like robin lives has a lot more compassion that many dc stories now do. jason's not useless or a waste of batman's time because he hasn't recovered. forcing himself despite not being ready yet is seen as a mistake but he's not being judged for it, for once. we see a doctor crying over the joker's lack of healing.

#we dont usually get stuff like this #and yes we all hate the joker. but it says something that the story's showing us characters who are capable of sympathy for even #the truly incorrigible.
