Has anyone asked for a deep dive of ur works? ur mind?? It’s me! I’m asking—politely—a directors cut? What inspires you? How does the creative process go? Anything! Because of that, I’m inspired by you and want to recognize the things that brings you and ur fics light and joy :D

You’re sweet. 🥹 Hi!! Is there anything specific you wanna know/know about? When it comes to starting a fic, my process is pretty intense, but inspiration itself is random. If anything, inspo is often the easiest part—ideas are like, a dime a dozen!! They’re always zipping around. 🪰 I do think the real (rewarding and terrifying) work comes from grabbing a few you like, and chipping away at them. Maybe I have a skewered perspective—I’m not someone who enjoys writing on the fly, I need to have a crystalline clear plan in front of me because if I lose sight of the ending, then I lose interest in the project. I think I say it (or something similar) in the linked post above but almost every idea I’ve mentioned on this blog has always had at least one thing going for it: I knew the ending almost straight away. The ideas that flop are mostly always ones that I didn’t have that. The ones that stick around like threats do. I’ve been working on my outline for the Gravity Falls fic I keep mentioning, and like—having the knee-jerk ending idea that I had from it’s inception has made every other idea and question I’ve had or asked myself in (the outline) fall neatly into place. Creation is circular!! Maybe it’s just that ancient thing for pattern recognition wired in our brains—the bored grownup version of finding a face in a rock or matching the primary coloured shapes to the right hole. Maybe it’s just the satisfaction of telling a complete story, but whatever force it is it’s very important for sticking out all the worst parts of trying to write something in its entirety.

I find writing hard! And then I feel bad about finding it hard, lmfao. Being able to indulge in something as time consuming and passionate like fanfic is a luxury, honestly, once you’re an adult. 🥺 Still, I guess it doesn’t negate that sometimes stringing a couple of words together is a challenge. 🥹 I’m not very good at handling it when the block happens (my apologies, Anthony Bourdain—I’d clean squid out if it meant it would clear my head 😩) but I guess one of the things we have to learn in our lives is when to rest, even if we think we don’t want to. 🥺

But what else!! What else can I share? I’m trying to think of stuff I always wanna know, when I meet people who make things—but it changes for each person!! Let me ask you a question, Anon—or indeed anyone else who sees this, because I’m always, always curious—but if you write, what do you ultimately want out of it? The hobby in general; the things you post. What do you think it’ll give you? What do you want it to give you, in your dream world??

OKAY well it started from the idea that the silent ones are the freaky ones, the intense ones. And then i had checked his horoscope and saw leo everywhere all over his chart which is like ✨ passion ✨ and stuff.

I truly believe he’s a soft dom, not trying to trick his partner into making a mistake, just completely taking care of them and even forcing them to take care of themselves (think making sure they’re drinking enough water). He gets off not on controlling but making his partner reach new heights.

1. dracula (1992)

watched it very recently and fell in love. the opening scene imprinted itself permanently in my brain. and oh god gary oldman in this <33

2. inception (2010)

haven’t seen it in ages but it was literally my favorite movie as a kid. I watched it over and over and over again, brings good memories!

3. all of us strangers (2023)

seen it this last friday. I know it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but god so I recommend seeing it. extremely beautiful visually, amazing soundtrack. felt every possible emotion while watching, might have cried also 👍🏻

4. grand budapest hotel (2014)

love wes andersons style, love the characters, nice light watch. also brings lots of nostalgia

5. “slovo” house (2017)

this movie can’t get out of my mind. incredible imagery. I absolutely love the acting in this. VERY heartbreaking at times. sadly, I can’t find any place where I could watch it again :( I saw it in a cinema two years ago, it was some sort of a special event screening ://

oh gosh i dont know enough movieS 😩 I mean, obviously their ACTUAL favorites are Lou Jitsu films... but for Leo we could also say "any movie that he was involved in." I think he also really likes Inception, the Matrix, and La La Land, for some reason. Raph likes Homeward Bound and cries every time they watch it. Donnie has a penchant for science documentaries, and is especially fond of "Goodnight Oppy." Re: video games, Mikey really likes Mario Kart, Raph really likes Animal Crossing, Leo loved Breath of the Wild, and Donnie is a huge fan of Pokemon-- he's the type who will IV train his entire team and have a pro strategy and takes joy in stomping other players into the dirt with his Superior Mons.

It’s nice to hear from you again 💫 anon!! Thank you so much for all the support!! 😭 I’ve worked a little on part 4 but since the last time you checked in I haven’t gotten much done. I do have a Fang Gang group chat chapter from a couple years ago that’s kind of a “bonus” but I haven’t quite figured out how I’m going to post it here, as I can’t find any good fake text apps to make a groupchat. I may just type it out.

I’m actually so excited you asked me this question because I actually DO visualize in my head when I write my vampy boys!! When pt 1 was being written, I was loosely basing them off Black Cat Nero, though I kinda decided to leave it up to the readers which is why there’s not too much detail to how they look besides some of their hair colors. It’s mentioned in part 1 that Hongjoong has dark hair and wears a white Victorian style blouse top with puffy sleeves and a gray and silver vest. These are some of the styles of clothes I imagine (below) the one in the middle specifically makes me think of San because I have a vampire San imagine that I haven’t shared here yet and I clearly pictured him wearing that outfit so that kinda carried over to LW8V lol

This is going be a long response lol so there’s more below about how I visualize each member

Hongjoong has black hair and, like I mentioned earlier, wears Victorian style clothes—they all do, but I can imagine each of them wearing something more “toned down” every so often, (not Seonghwa lol) but I can picture Joong wearing something like he did for Paradigm!

Seonghwa obviously wears ruffly blouses and sometimes embellished jackets and tailcoats. At first I imagined his hair like Wonderland era, but now I more so imagine him with his current long black hair (it’s my favorite 🥴)

Yunho is blonde and I specifically imagine him with his hair styled like it is in the pic below. It fits him well and that’s also what my brain decided to picture so I’ve stuck with it! For clothing, Yunho kinda just wears stuff similar to what’s pictured below

Yeosang is blonde in the series with his hair from Black Cat Nero and/or Inception era. Though while writing part 3 I started to imagine him with his long black hair instead 😩 some other outfits I think Yeo would wear are like the one I added on the left from Halazia era

San has black hair and I picture him in a tight fitting gothic style vest and a white dress shirt underneath, though I can also see him wearing more “modern” things like a black silk top and of course I mentioned he was wearing a lace up shirt in part 3 of LW8V during the Medieval Times segment

Mingi has brown hair. In my mind, it’s usually unstyled and fluffy and I can see him wearing something like from Paradigm; a loose-fitting white shirt (untucked) with a few buttons undone and a loose gothic vest over the top

Wooyoung has long black hair because I’m attached to it and I have a thing for long hair. I imagine him wearing fitting gothic vests and a white dress shirt with small ruffles along the collar or something. When he goes out I can imagine him wearing black trench coats or something like that

Jongho has brown hair and, like the others, wears Victorian style clothing and coats, but he also has some more casual(?) tops like this one from Halazia era which I’m still in love with to this day. I wish the stylists would put him in things like this more often because he looks STUNNING and so pretty

As for your last question, it’s actually crazy you mention that because over the last 3 days or so I’ve been on character.ai messing around with some werewolf AU ideas I had for Chan just seeing if I could flesh out some ideas and I have two REALLY GOOD ones that I’d like to write!! I also have one that’s been sitting in my drafts for a couple years that I haven’t touched because I don’t really know where I’m going with it just yet lol. As for Chan in LW8V you can expect him to make a return with some extra buddies. I have so much planned for them for part 4 😈

I swear this fandom is becoming more and more insufferable every day which is scary not to mention it's at least one more year of wait until season 2. I don't want even to imagine what it's going to be like when it actually airs. I've been in other fandoms, including the GoT one, but this level of toxicity, aggression, tribalism and hypocrisy is unreachable. What is with this show that encourages such behaviour? I really don't understand. I used to be team green (I still am kind of) during the show, especially the second half and after the show ended because I hated the way many black stans were acting towards anyone who didn't share their opinions and the way they talked about green characters (and even the actors) in general. Also, the framing of the show with it's good vs bad guys concept was annoying af so it wasn't hard to choose TG, at least to me. However, now I'm not even sure I care enough. It's so difficult to discuss anything show related normally and nust because all this toxicity soured the whole hotd experience to me now I'm more than anything team anti hotd fandom. That's why your fic is literally the last hotd related thing I'm looking forward to so atm so thank you for actually giving something good to this wretched fandom 😩. Seriously, Aemond and Rhaena should follow my example and just be done with everyone and everything lol. Anyway, I'm (not so😁) patiently waiting for the next update. I don't know anymore if I'll watch season 2, but I'll definitely read swhhw.

I get you. At large, it's not a fun fandom to be in. I remember when there was a petition to stop Matt Smith from being Dr Who on the grounds of him being too ugly, so in a sense it's a little amusing to see how he's inspired this whole "Choke me daddy" rabid fanbase... But other than that, it's really not much fun. People take everything as fighting words. They're attacking real people to defend fictional characters written by a man who hasn't even finished his series as yet after a decade long hiatus...

I don't even get the joy of reading other fics really, because I try to reduce the odds on me 'stealing' someone else's fic idea. Like, I know fair is fair and it's all fanworks, but I'll literally read something, go to sleep, incept myself, and wake up like "you know what would be really cool???" and it's only when I'm reading it all over that I'll realize that I've split off on a whole different unrelated tangent and have to course correct. I'm trying to write better and faster and cut down on how distracted I get. For example, writing while commuting feels productive but it really isn't, not how I do it. I get so distracted... I'll be editing and realize, "No, you can't write that. That's a line from a Hozier song."

HotD doesn't deserve the time or the energy. Like, I look at the word count of swhhw and question all my life decisions. But the rhaemond fandom is so nice and so small, you can't help it. It's like an oasis in a radioactive wasteland.

I'm also kinda doing it for Team Dyslexia and Team Dysgraphia in a sort of "We can do it!" way?

I really want to finish this before S2 starts.

AN: As we countdown to Christmas, I want to remind everyone once again to be the type of person you wish there was more of in the world. We as a whole decide what is acceptable within our fandom.

Summary: You and Alastor never had the same taste in books but that was alright. You prefered romance of the reather spicy kind.
