Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader Part 8
You agreed to go watch the show that Bakugou was performing in with Maya, but you found it weird how Maya was exited to go. You end up getting some much needed emotional support for who you end up seeing at the performance. What will you think of it and what's up with Maya?
Hey everyone, im back with another part of the Incel! Shinsou series! Thank you to the lovely @drewcreates for the art work, go support her.
"I can't help but repeat myself. I know it's not your fault. Still lately, I begin to shake. For no reason at all"- (I Cant Handle Change by Roar)
(Art by @drewcreates)
Shinsou was standing behind the curtain, waiting for the scene to change to make his entrance. This was the first-ever show that he played one of the main protagonists and he was excited to see what would come from it. He was tired of being the “no-hit wonder” so this show meant a lot to him. Maya was nice enough to help him practice but he had to admit that she was a brutal teacher. She would hit him with a ruler or make him break down the scene to its very basics before having him continue with the scene. He understood the strict nature but he kinda wished she wouldn’t hit him with a ruler like some grandmother scolding her disobedient grandchild.
“You need to understand that a character isn’t just someone you become for the moment. You need to be them, sleep like them, and most importantly, dream like them. You are the character that you’re trying to bring to life. Now stop looking constipated and do it from the top.” Shinsou groaned at Maya’s lecture but he knew it would help him. She was right, he had to “dream” like the character if he was going to become them, whatever that meant. Even while helping him out, Maya was still cryptic. She said it was to make him think, but he considered it a quirk of hers.
Shinsou finally saw his cue and got on stage with the other actors. The audience was nothing more than dark figures while he and the others on stage were brightly illuminated. Bakugou was stepping in front of him as if trying to intimidate him but Shinsou pushed past him with a smirk on his face. He walked over to the actress and bent down at the hip to be face to face with her. Shinsou was never suave with girls back in high school, his entire thing was pushing them away as far as he could. This was foreign territory for him and hopefully, he could sell that he wasn’t a clueless idiot when it came to it. Looks could only go so far but he knew he achieved his goal when the actress let out an unscripted squeal and her face became even more flustered than before.
It was a unique feeling to be on stage. It was a show of importance and focu . The costume he had on was nothing more than old military fatigues yet it attracted people to look at him. His hair was straightened and slicked back, his hair dyed to match the original character’s iconic blond look and he still had the crowd entranced with himself. He was willing to go full-on out for even the smallest role and he had to give Maya some credit for that influence. The woman worked and she worked hard.
You sat in the crowd with Maya sitting beside you. The taller woman was watching quietly as your leg bounced in anticipation. You wore an ankle-length dress with a v-shaped collar that showed the top of your bust. The skirt had panels to it and was fully black with some lace, making itself known on the puffy short sleeves. You felt elegant yet yourself with matching makeup to bring it all together. Maya on the other hand was very casual in her dressage, opting for a thigh-leveled skirt, a simple black turtle neck, and a black jacket to match. Her makeup was the most outspoken part of her outfit with the large winged eyeliner that sharpened her eyes and helped pop the color of her eyes. She was beautiful and so were you, everyone in your row kept glancing at you both during the intermission to reassure themselves that two beautiful women were sitting next to them.
“What do you think?” Maya snapped you out of your thoughts. You raised your brow at her and looked back at the stage where Shinsou and Bakugou fought for the main actress’s attention via pulling at her arms like children fighting over a toy.
“I think... it’s good. Not really a theater person but it’s immersive.”Maya chuckled at you and redirected her gaze to the stage.
“You think Shinsous is doing a good job?”
“Yeah..? Why-”
“Did you know he asked me to invite you to the show? He wanted you to see it.” The comment caught you off guard. The idea hadn’t crossed your mind that he would want you to watch him perform. You knew he was trying to spend more time with you, the silly and awkward interactions in the library told you that much, but you didn’t know that he wanted you to watch him specifically.
“No, I didn’t.” Maya chuckled again and faced you.
“After the show, let’s go backstage to congratulate them. I'm sure Bakugou and Shinsou would appreciate it.”
“Are you going to see someone?” You asked her. Maya shook her head and giggled.
“I want to talk to Lavanda about his performance and review with him, nothing else.” You made yourself comfortable in your seat, the thought of speaking with Shinsou being nerve-wracking to you. You haven’t truly spoken to him since you saw him laying on top of Maya and that was all you could manage to do at the time. You didn’t feel safe around him like you used to.
“Don't worry, I’ll stand beside you the entire time if you want me to. No one hurts you unless they want their teeth kicked in.” Maya smiled down at you, her canines becoming visible to you.
“Thanks.” The small jitters of anxiety and prickles of sweat made themselves present on your body as you waited for the show to end. At least you weren’t going to be left alone with him.
The show came to an end and everyone began to file out of the theater. Many commenting on the lead actor’s performance and how they truly went above and beyond with the story. Monoma was drinking up all of the attention that viewers were giving him on his minor role. He stood by the wall and towered over some of the girls who gawking at him, their faces flushed and eyes hazy. You didn’t understand how anyone could find Monoma attractive but to each their own, you thought Shinsou was handsome looking even when he was looking rough. They both were handsome but Monomas personality irritated you and that was what shined brighter than any looks he had.
“I know, I know, I truly was fantastic as a private- Madam Maya!” Monoma pushed past his small group of fangirls, shoved you aside, and made his way in front of the taller woman. He was about her height, just a little taller than her by 4 inches. This soft grin was present on his face as he focused on her.
“How are you today, Madam Maya? Did you enjoy the show?” Monoma leaned towards her and smirked. His eyes immediately met her own, almost challenging her to look away. You could practically see the hearts in his eyes and it was borderline sweet. Everyone knew that Monoma had a thing for her, but Monoma himself didn’t know that his “admiration” was not that at all. He was, and very, unfortunately, in love with Maya.
“Yeah, I guess. You did your role well, though, I think you could have done better since you’re always talking about how “outstanding” you are. I’m sure you’ll be amazing in the next one.” Monoma was leaning towards her and tripped forward. Maya moved to the side to give him space to fall to. He was trying to get a closer look at her while also drinking up the semi compliment she had given.
“Of course I will be! But- you think I did well?!” She nodded and watched the slightly taller male regain his balance. He stood up straight, stiff even, as he adjusted the suit he wore.
“Why are you-” But he cut you off before you questioned his wardrobe choice. Who wore a suit after wearing an uncomfortable costume for over 2 hours?
“Will you be auditioning for the next show?” Monoma eagerly asked Maya.
“Not sure, why?”
“The next major project is this absorbed thing about heroes and high schoolers with superpowers that they refer to as “quirks. Can you believe how ridiculous that sounds? It sounds hor-” Monoma crossed his arms rolled his eyes dramatically at the idea of a theater performance.
“Oh, isn’t that the play that All Might created?”
“Yeah, so bland-”
“Sounds like a lot of fun. Might just audition for it if I haven’t already been directly picked by then.” Monoma swallowed harshly and tried to backtrack his comments.
“Ye- Yeah! I- it is- it does sound like a lot of fun. Haha, yes, I cant wait to audition for it. I- uh- I heard from Teacher Vlad that the art department was getting priority at the auditions.” He tried laughing it off by sounding excited, but Maya could see through it all and gave you an amused look before looking back at him.
“Well, let’s hope that you get a role in the next major project. Maybe you can truly amaze me.”
“S-sure! Can’t wait to a-amaze you, Madam Maya!.” Monoma’s voice cracked when speaking Maya’s name. His blush only deepened as she smiled back at him.
She no longer paid him any attention but you noticed how Monoma’s smile grew as she walked away.
You turned to follow Maya deeper into the theater and were suddenly met with darkness. You walked past the crew who were diligently removing set pieces and helping actors out of their costumes. Tech was screaming at each other from across the room as you passed through another door. Once through, it revealed a tan hallway with doors all across it, the end of the hall has an open door frame that led to who knows where. You made it near that open door when you were met with the man you’ve been trying to rebuild your relationship with.
“Hey, Lavanda! You were great tonight! How many are you doing for this week? I want to celebrate the opening night.” Shinsou was unbuttoning his shirt with the help of a crew member who was helping him take off his pants.
“I have 3 shows in the morning and 2 at night tomorrow, 4 to 3 the rest of the weekdays, and only 3 shows in the morning for the weekend. What did you want to do?” He turned to face Maya but his eyes immediately met your own.
Your stomach fluttered as he slowly took off his shirt to hand over to the crew member. You gave him a quick smile and faced Maya. You didn’t like how oddly embarrassed and intrusive this felt. He was just removing his costume to put on his regular clothes, nothing you haven’t seen him do before. He used to change his shirt in front of you when you would both get to his house to work on the project you were assigned. You mentally told yourself to calm down and try to focus on the upperclassman who was smirking at Shinsou.
“How about a movie at mines? We can order something in and you can spend the night if you want.” Shinsou continued to take apart his costume while the crew member yelled at someone else who was passing by. Everyone was still focused on work even though the show ended for the night.
“Don’t you live with that other upperclassman’ family? Are they ok with you inviting me to stay over?” Maya nodded her head.
“I asked prior and you can stay in the guest room or my room. You touch my Ghibli merch I kill you.” Maya smiled at the last statement while Shinsou became rigid. It didn’t matter who you were if it was Maya, you had to take her seriously. You noticed how Shinsou’s eyes wondered over Maya’s form as if searching for something. You gave her a quick glance to see if anything was off but there was nothing out of place.
“I’m joking but please try to be careful with my stuff. You borrowed Работа актера над собой from me and it came back with coffee stains.” Her smirk fell at the memory. Some of the pages were unreadable and fragile when he handed it back to her. She was not amused and made him do extra hours of practice as punishment.
“Yeah, sorry about that I was trying to cram as much as I could and wasn’t paying attention. I can buy you a new Рабо- uuuh, is there an easier title version?”
“An Actor Prepares, and no, you don’t need to buy me a new one. Just be careful next time.” You watched the two of them interact and couldn’t help the smile that made itself onto your face.
Maya was like an older sister scolding her younger brother for going into her room. Shinsou was taller than the woman but he still hunched over as if trying to appear small. His crooked smile and tired eyes completed the family picture in front of you. They both were tired people, Shinsou had his reasons that he never disclosed with you, while Maya opened up to you about her insomnia. You had to admire their dedication to their studies, they both seemed more themselves when they stood on the stage.
“Hey did you-”
“L/n, what did you think about the show? Any memorable performances? Bakugou was good on his delivery. Never pinned him for a romance kind of guy.” Maya crouched down a little to meet you at eye level and directed her gaze at you before moving her eyes to Shinsou. Shoji, another actor, handed him a bag which Shinsou took, thanked him, and pulled out a pair of pants.
“Uh, well. Monoma was good and so was Midoriya. I didn’t expect Midoriya to be so funny, he usually does drama, right?” Maya nodded. Shinsou began to put his pants on while pulling his shirt out to prevent it from becoming stuck.
“Yeah, he’s usually a drama and action type of guy so I have had some work with him.” He adjusted his shirt, tucking it into his pants half haphazardly.
Shinsou then complimented your hair and makeup for the night, his eyes trying to stay far away from your exposed chest. You looked ravishing and it was hard for him to keep his comments to himself. The one time he wanted to tell you everything about how his life without you has been going, was the same time that you decided to look so fucking perfect. You were too much for him. You were always attractive to him, his denial was strong back when you barely knew each other but now, liberated by those thoughts and attempting to make amends with you, he could finally learn how to express them. You were everything that he wanted to one day be, free. His hands were becoming sweaty just out of looking at you.
“Any criticism for me?”
“Uh, yeah. I have some things I wanted to ask about.” He avoided your eyes but you can see the redness in his ears deepen as he waited for your comments.
You both didn’t notice how close you both were to each other and how flushed both of your faces were. You asked about specifics regarding the character he was playing and he answered all of your questions with this happy ease. His eyes were stuck on you as your own were one him. You were both stuck in your own little world where the yelling crew and running actors didn’t exist. If only you were paying attention you would have noticed Maya watching you both from a distance. She stepped back to observe you both interact with one another. There was no denying it, you truly made a positive change in Shinsous life. Maya smiled to herself, memories flooding back to her of how difficult Shinsou used to be.
She hoped that Shinsou wouldn’t remember the request he made to her but she guessed wrong. Maya didn’t mean to hide anything from him, she knew it would only hurt him more in the long run but she couldn’t do it. She did what he asked of her and found what he wanted. She couldn’t give it to him. Maya crumpled the piece of paper she held in her hand since the beginning of the show. Her palm began to sweat and it would probably end up smearing the ink on the paper but it didn’t matter. She wasn’t going to show him the letter. The moment was so joyous that it would ruin it if she did. Maya hid the letter inside her skirt pocket and watched you both talk about the show. You were both smiling at each other but Shinsou was watching you with pure adoration. It was cute. She couldn’t afford to ruin such a moment for the both of you, not if it meant that the truth would destroy all of the good changes you’ve done for him.
The people in the theater walked around the emptying space with some deciding to stick back to see if they could speak with some of the actors. Some of the show-goers were still excited while others chatted with one another. It was positive and light but not for one person. The man stood in place waiting to see if the girl he had been observing would come out of the door she walked through. He would have walked through the door if it weren’t for the heavy amount of staff running around shouting out orders. It reminded him of how he would yell at his underlings. The girl didn’t come out of the door but he knew it was her.
“Boss?” One of his henchmen stood behind him waiting to gain acknowledgment.
“What do you need?” He asked irritated. His henchman shook in fear at his voice.
“Th- the car is ready, sir.” The man took one last look at the door and turned around towards the theater’s exit. He walked outside to the cool night and stepped into the car where his driver waited for him as well as his right hand.
“Any updates Chronos?” He asked indifferently.
“Production has been on the up since we got the other gangs to join. Though, if I may suggest something.” The man directed his eyes to the other man, his face still facing forward.
“Maybe we should focus on the...experiment rather than searching for your muse, Chisaki?” The brown-haired man, Chisaki, redirected his gaze to the window beside him and observed as more people spilled out of the theater’s main entrance. The girl he was searching for was walking beside you with a large grin on her face as a blond-haired male trailed behind them.
“I’ll do as I please. I’m not ignorant enough to be distracted by some walking cunt, Chronos.” The driver pulled out to the rode and slowly drove to not hit any pedestrians walking on the street.
Chisaki watched you blush at the taller woman as her arm rested on your shoulder.
You were happy to finally be out of the theater and get some fresh air after being stuffed into halls full of people. Maya and Bakugou escorted you back to your place, conversation always focused on teasing Bakugou on how his voice cracked by accident in the middle of his line. The blond was not happy with it but you were all smiles so he would let it slide. He felt like someone or something was staring at him and he turned to face the street to see where the feeling came from. No one was across the street from the three of you but the car that passed by fell off. Bakugou narrowed his eyes as he watched it pass by you all and kept his eyes on it till it disappeared. He rolled his shoulders and kept a steady pace with the two girls in front of him. It was dangerous for them to be out this late.

Incel!Shinsou x F!Reader fanfic idea (Part 2)
So here we are, Incel!Shinsou is back and this time with a bit of growth that he needs to make independently (While thinking about the reader of course. Thank you so much to @blossominglark for sending in such a lovely message! Also here you can find a small explanation as to why i even started the Incel!Shinsou series.)
"I think I want you. I think you're bad. I think you're good, it's like the love I never had. I think I need you. Oh God, it's true. I think I'm falling and there's nothing I can do" - Beetlejuice Chill by Life After Youth
Part 1: Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader
Part 3: Incel!Shinsou x F!Reader (1/2)
How difficult could it be? To forget that you ever existed... thats what's haunting Shinsou ever since the conversation you two had a few days ago. He cant seem to focus anymore, everything just reeks of you. (His own bedroom where you two would sit on the floor and work on your project together. You would laugh at something that came on the television, every time resulting in his face heating up and heart beating harder at the sound, the beautiful sound, of your laughter. It doesn't feel the same anymore. He cant sit or sleep there anymore.) Shinsou starts speaking with Aizawa more, to be honest its not like Aizawa gave him that much of a choice. He needed to understand what was happening with his son and you in order to help or bring some constructive input.
Shinsou goes on and on about how he mocked you to his "friends". When questioned on his "friends" he said that they were all telling him that you needed to be taught how to be a "proper woman" the "perfect girl for them".
("Hitoshi what-...why would you...?"
"I don't know! It made sense when i was young and- i... i dont understand how or why and...please just- help me i dont understand!"
"It's ok, it's ok, come here." Aizawa hugs Shinsou tightly. He starts running his hand over Shinsou's hair comforting him.
"What did you show them? What did you tell them about...her, exactly?") A mess of tears and regrets, thats what Shinsou is. A puddle which he somehow drowned you in out of a bitter rage that had nothing to do with you.
Aizawa finally holding a grasp as to how Shinsou's mind worked, he couldn't help but feel defeated. He neglected his son so much he became bitter and resentful towards the wrong people, the wrong person. (Aizawa only ever told Shinsou that his mother moved away from them because it was "too much for her". Young Shinsou couldn't grasp why his mom would leave him, but again he never really asked questions since he saw how upset it made his dad. "Dont worry Hitoshi, ill be here for you no matter what. Got it, problem child?") An intervention needs to be made now. To prevent even more damage, to keep his son safe and his sons ex-friend safe.
"Hitoshi? The posts and things you put online, you need to delete everything now." Urgency was a must, damage control needed to happen now. Who knows if Shinsou wrote about where he lived, where you lived and studied at, if he showed those "friends" of his your face. Who knows how much information he put out there to a bunch of strangers about you. "Ok, ok. Let me delete everything...yeah...thats-yeah...makes sense." He's slipping, Shinsou is slipping into a pit of shock and disgust, he needs to fix things and that only starts by wiping away years of miss informed opinions disguised as truths.
Everything is gone. No more accounts. No more pictures. No more you. He didn't make any announcements or even address why he was wiping everything. He didn't answer the piles of questions flooding his inbox about why he was doing all of this, he just didn't care anymore. He couldn't find you either. No account on any platform with any signs of you. (He should have asked for your socials, but knowing where you two started off at he thinks its better that you two didn't. It saved you from his incessant torment he saw himself being capable of.)
Week one came and went. You didn't show up for classes and people started to take notice.
"Does anyone know why y/n isn't at school anymore? Is she sick?" Midoriya asked one day. Everyone kind of just looked at each other hoping that someone might have an answer. Be it that no one other then Shinsou was in the same class as you, everyone in his friend group knew about you since you where always nice despite the way you presented clothing wise. (The clothing didn't matter nor did the labels, you were still so welcoming to everyone. Hell, you even welcomed Monoma and that guy is considered psycho by everyone.) Shinsou couldn't do anything but listen to his friends (Midoriya, Shoto, Denki, Mina, Iida, and Ururaka) go on about how nice you were. How they miss you. He misses you . He ruined this, he ruined your school experience and pushed you to lose the friends you had because of his own ignorance. He forced you to choice between showing up to school and dealing with him or not coming in at all and losing the friends you had because of him.
The Sports Festival was coming up soon, here all the students would compete against each other to show off their skills. The Festival acts more as an opportunity for the different Courses to fight each other since its focus centers on the physical strength and wellbeing of the students instead of their study of focus. It also helps with publicity by letting UA show off their students to the general public. (Shinsou didn't understand why the school would have a Sports Festival. UA was better known for being STEM and Art focused which meant that many of the students only had to take 1 year of P.E. instead of the 3 years other schools required.
"So again, what's the purpose of this?"
"Its just a chance for the different Courses to bully each other, and for the General Course to get mocked." responded Togeike. Be it that she never spent time with Shinsou, they both had a mutual attitude and just stayed away from each other out of disinterest. It wasn't after Shinsou's personality changed did she feel more comfortable being around him and started speaking to him casually throughout the day.
"So what does the Business Course do during-"
"Hey, didn't you and y/n work on that project together?" This caught Shinsou of guard. For the past week its all been about you and how you hadn't been coming to class. (You haunt him even outside of school, the guilts too much for him at times.)
"Yeah...what about it." he snarls. Just because he's changed in appearance and largely in attitude, that doesn't mean he's over the way he treats people. Cant she get to the point already-
"Geez man, i just wanted to ask if you needed her number." That...was off. Why would she assume that he needed your number?
"Why would you give me her number? Don't you think that as former project partners i would already have her-"
"You're clearly upset about her not being here, so shut up. Either take it or leave it, jackass." she bit back. How did she know? Shinsou has always had a resting bitch face which made it hard to read his emotions. How did she manage to figure it out? (God he was an asshole!)
"Yeah, please....i'm sorry. I could-"
"Please shut the fuck up, i don't want an apology from you. Take it and fix this shit. I hate seeing people mope and you're pretty much dying in a pit here." Togeike really gives no fucks and she was tired of the purple haired boy looking like a kicked puppy. She assumed it had something to do with you. When you started skipping class, Shinsou also started to look upset and wouldn't speak that often. It wasn't like Shinsou was shy, he just didn't see the need to speak all the time. So to see him become even more silent was concerning.)
He left school that day with a skip to his step. He has your number! He has a way of contacting you! Yet, he still knew that having your number wouldn't fix anything. You left him alone and it wouldn't be fair for him to barge back into your life without proving he's improving, that he's actually deserving of you're friendship at least....
The Sports Festival.....
He can prove himself to you there....
Everyone will see it, every student at UA has to be there for credit....you'll have to be there. You'll also have to participate for the start of it, so you'll have to interact with someone.
(This was it)
This was so much fun to write! Lets give this a slow build up to give him proper character development and redemption. The next part will be the Sports Festival and what he plans on doing to get you back. Let's set up that his intention is too for one, make an impression on the school for when he decides to transfer to the Art Course but also to make an impression on you and get you to notice him in a positive light. Our poor incel is trying his best ok....

Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader Part 3 (1/2):
This time we’re focusing on a small scene before the Sports Festival and majority on the actual Festivals events (Mainly the fight between Midoriya and Shinsou). So strap in and buckle up cause this one’s going to be loooong. Due to the limit of images being 10, I've decided to separate Part 3 in 2 sections.
Please feel free to send in ideas for future parts and also expand the prompt to how ever you see fit. I love seeing what others can do and I also don’t care if you take this series and change things because it’s open to interpretation. So again, feel free to send in any thoughts/ideas you have! We also now have a collaborative playlist that you can add any songs that remind you of Incel!Shinsou, so please feel free to add songs!
"You're falling hard, I push away, I'm feeling hot to the touch. You say you miss me the most, I say I miss you so much. But something keeps me really quiet, I'm alive I'm a lush. Your love, your love, your love." - (West Coast by Missio)

Virgin! Shinsou
The Sports Festival is finally here and Shinsou has his eyes set on one person. You’ve been avoiding him all day, from the moment you got on campus you’ve made sure to avoid crossing paths with him by getting to campus early and taking different routes to get to class. Everyone was putting away their backpacks and other things that they weren’t allowed to bring out to the “Colosseum”. Why a school with a focus on STEM and Art has a Colosseum is up for questioning but that isn’t his main concern. You are.
He had your number but he didn’t call or text to it. It didn’t feel right to apologize to you through that manner so the Sports Festival was the better option for a few reasons. 1) The ability to actually interact with you in person (He is incredibly starved for your attention), 2) He needs to ACTUALLY apologize. The things he did and said about you were so damaging and disgusting he’s honestly surprised you didn’t tell anyone or had him kicked out already. Lastly, he wanted to use the Sports Festival to physically and mentally show maturity. Words only go so far, he knows this when it comes to performing he can’t just rely on his voice to carry the scene. He needed action and emotion. He needed to show you that he genuinely has changed for the better and that he is slowly getting to a better place.
“Hey Shinsou, want to walk out together?” Togeike and Agoyamato walked up to him.
"Uhh, can you two give me a moment....I need to check up on something."
"She'll show up when we enter, she doesn't want to be around you right now." Togeike's expression hardened. Even though she didn't hold a strong relationship with either one of you, she still spoke to you on a semi regular bases, more frequently then she speaks to Shinsou at least.
"Oh..." Shinsou knows this already but he cant stop the feeling that spreads itself inside his chest. You didn't want to be around him. He destroyed the one thing that was positive about his life.
The entire first year General Studies Course started walking in the direction of the Colosseum, they noticed a group of people standing outside of class 1-A Homeroom Art Course doors.
"What do you think is happening?" Agoyamato asks.
"Don't know, don't really care." Shinsou doesn't really give the Art Course homeroom any attention, mainly out of the still burning jealousy within him. Yet, when he glanced over too were the others where staring at, he saw something that made his heart both thump and drop.
You. You were there and smiling....but not with him. You were smiling with the Art Course homeroom students, specifically at something that Bakugo, the blonde Pomeranian with anger issues, had said. Covering your mouth with a hand to not show your smile that had formed. Shinsou wasn't having it. He didn't like it. That you were laughing because of something someone else had done, someone that wasn't him. Before his mind could catch up, he was already walking towards the crowd. "This cant happen, i need to-"
"I came to see what the famous Class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant. Are all the students in the Art Course like this?" Shinsou couldn't stop the flow of words that came out, he needs to get your attention someway and somehow. This was the prefect way to start off on, making himself the villain just like every single one the characters he's played.
Bakugo never thought he'd meet someone so stupid that would talk back to him, but especially not the same guy who disrespected you to a group of strangers. (Bakugo knew what happened because he found you crying on his walk home. After his experiences in High School, Bakugo learned that no matter how talented of an actor he was, he was never going to go anywhere if he didn't consider other peoples emotions and experiences. He sat down with you and asked you what was wrong. You only told him that someone that you were close to used you and took advantage of you.) From that point Bakugo figured out on his own who it was, so if Shinsou wanted to act a fool Bakugo was going to give him exactly what he wanted.
"Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned. There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn’t make it into the Art Course. Did you know that?" Shinsou doesn't care at this point. He's looking at a rival not a future classmate. Bakugo attempts to speak but Shinsou cuts him off.
"The school has left those of us a chance. Depending on the results of the Sports Festival, they’ll consider our transfer to the Art Course....and it seems they may also transfer people out." He's ignoring Bakugo, his eyes are focused on you. You didn't look at his direction but at Bakugo, still, you were paying attention to what he was saying and that was enough for him.
"Everyone else is here just scouting out the enemy. I, at least, came to say that even if you’re in the Art Course, if you get too carried away, I’ll sweep your feet out from under you. I came with a declaration of war." That got your attention. You looked away from the blond and stared at Shinsou, eyes filled with shock and mild anger. Good, that was good enough for him. He was used to people looking at him like the bad guy, like the ones he's played. He was fine with you seeing him like that after he betrayed your trust, he was fine as long as you acknowledged him. It didn't matter in what way.
Bakugo completely ignored him. He wasn't about to give the time of day to some asshole who hurt his friend (yes, he did grow a heart and considered you a friend.) That didn't mean he wasn't about to have the last laugh. He walked closer to Shinsou and glanced past him with a cruel smirk.
"I know what you're doing and i also know what you did." Bakugo turns his head slightly to face Shinsou, "You're fucking stupid if you think that i'm going to let you get close to y/n...so don't you fucking try, extra. Or else." Bakugo wasn't going to let some fuck come into your life again just to hurt you. From the screenshots and comments you showed him, he can see clearly what type of person Shinsou is. He was dangerous back in High School, a great actor with an amazing future, but now he was a threat in a more significant way. It wasn't his place to tell, but he was defiantly going to try to make the others get on board with keeping you two away from each other.
Shinsou wasn't by any means peek physicality but he did do stretches and went on a run every other day to keep his waist line in place. Even so he was ready to do what he was told to do in order to get your attention. The entire first year General Studies Course was announced and walked out into the middle of the Colosseum. He couldn't see you anywhere, he was all the way in the front in of placement which was dependent on grades, but he couldn't see you. You had high scores on all of your classes, so where were you? The General Course was already out of the tunnel so there was no point in searching for you, Shinsou had to make appearances for the rest of world. He was a promising actor after all.
"What do you think they'll make us do?" You asked one of your classmates. Your voice alone was breathtaking to the point that Shinsou's heart did a small leap. He turns to look at you trying to catch your eyes again. Youre looking forward but you dont catch his eyes, you know he's watching you yet you dont try to engage. It was better this way, at least thats what your mind told you. Dejected, Shinsou turns around again and continuous.
"I'll get you to look at me at least once."
Let the Games Begin!
This was going fucking horribly. Shinsou managed to get to the last game of the day and the entire time you've managed to avoid his ass. He even helped you during the first course were you had to cross a large ass lake (Why the fuck UA had an entire forest is also up to anyones guess.) He pushed someone into the lake to get them out of your way and you just ran past him on the rope bridge. How the fuck did you run on a rope bridge? It took him using someone else for balance to even get across it. You ungrateful fucking bi- no, no, he want going to-. He was frustrated, it wasn't fair to insult you when you were doing what felt best for you, he's still figuring out what rational anger was and wasn't.
The last game was coming up, this was it. He was put up against Midoriya, the green haired kid who was too pure for his own good. During High School, Midoriya started off as shy but determined guy, as the years moved forward he grew more confident and it reflected on his acting. Be it that they weren't in the same class anymore, Midoriya was in the same theater company as him. Actually, a lot of the students in 1-A were in the same theater company as Shinsou. Which means that they knew his weakness, especially were his strength physically was at.
"So Midoriya, i guess we're fighting against each other. Youre in 1-A, right?" Before Midoriya responded Ojiro grabbed Midoriya and put his hand over his mouth.
"Not so fast!" Shinsou grinned and walked away from the pair. He was trying to play mind games, trying to get information out of Midoriya to see what he can use against him in their "fight". It wasn't really a fight but they had to try to push each other out of the boundaries of the space they where given. Didn't matter what they did, just as long as they could get one of them out of bounds it was fine. He couldn't wait.
He was the first round "fighter", so he took the break as a way to prepare. Everything else he did today wasn't enough to get your attention, so this defiantly would. Every student had to sit and watch the fights that took place, since you were disqualified during the cavalry round you had to watch him. He was buzzing with excitement....and nerves. This was for you! Yeah, it could help him get the attention of the principal and the Art Courses department head, but that was just the excuse he used in front of everyone. In reality this was all for your attention so he had to make the most out of this final game.
Shinsou was ready, Midoriya was across from him and he had to figure out what his plan of attack would be. Although, Midoriya no longer held his usual good nature aura to him. His eyes where determine, that was dangerous, especially when it comes to Midoriya.
"So you could just give up, huh? In a way, this is a test of how strong your spirit is. If you know what you want your future to hold, you can't worry about what other people think." Shinsou taunted. "That fucker was going on about his pride earlier. But I just think he's an idiot for throwing away his chance like that. It's honestly pathetic that the little bitch walked away." Midoriya doesn't move but he does show his anger and frustration. Shinsou was amazing at using words to convey the character he's playing but to see him use them to mock another classmate left bile in Midoriya's mouth.
"Don't you dare Shin-!"
"You're lucky to have been so blessed, Izuku Midoriya. To have parents that care for you and give you all that you want. I have my own dreams of becoming a great actor. Someone worthwhile in this world." Shinsou smirks, he's won. Midoriya won't do anything. He's guilt tripping him into giving up....and its working. Midoriya hasn't move since he started speaking, but he's lowered his head as if bowing in shame.
Shinsou then turns to look at where General studies is seated at and when he see's you. He realized he fucked up even more. You weren't impressed, you weren't cheering him on, smiling, or anything that may show that you're in lined with him. You were horrified. He didn't impress you, he made you realize that he may have manipulated you during your friendship. There is no going back now though. He can't take back any of this.
He's fucking pissed. He's angry. He's done. He's lost.
"So, lose for me." Midoriya slumps forward even more for a moment. No answer and no movement. Shinsou has won.
So now we're getting serious. I can't wait to see how reader reacts to Shinsou's full fight plus what will come after it.

Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader Part 3 (2/2):
Section 2 of Part 3 is here! I had a few ideas as to how this could have gone but I've decided to leave it this way mostly because my mind tends to wonder. Horny thoughts have plagued me for a few days so again, keeping it wholesome because i want any smut/sex scenes in the future to mean something between the reader and Shinsou's relationship. (Yes, we do plan to have nsfw content within the series in the future!)
For now please, enjoy the last part of the Sport Festival where our dear Shinsou is about to get the rare chance of seeing a different side of Midoriya.
"I don't ever wanna go, but my feet keep on moving and pushing me closer to you. I will never let you know. When I'm mulling it over and taking my time overdue." - (Belgium to Bordeaux by Canteen)
Part 3: Incel!Shinsou x F!Reader (1/2)
Part 4: Incel!Shinsou x F! Reader
He was winning, he just needed to push more. Shinsou just needed to grab Midoriya and it would all be over.
"You have so much Midoriya, yet you're greedy and keep it to yourself." Shinsou starts closing in on him, like any predator with it's incapacitated prey. Toying with it and making sure that it knows that in the moment, right now, they aren't going to make it out alive. Thats his plan, destroy Midoriya's will to fight and use his emotional hypersensitivity to make him give into whatever Shinsou wants from him. He grabs Midoriya and starts pushing him out of the ring. "This is it! I'll win and she'll see th-that...that i'm still..a-"
"I know, Shinsou." Midoriya lifts his head up, his eyes filled with something Shinsou has only seen in him when performing. Hate. Shinsou's used to it, but not from Midoriya. He didn't think the green haired boy was capable of genuine hatred.
"You hurt y/n for what? For a laugh? What did she do to you?" "A lot of things. They were all great, healthy."
"Shut up, you don't know anything!" Shinsou growls. An actual animalistic sound coming out of his throat and Midoriya's calm demeanor only made his blood boil with greater might.
"I do, and you're a real piece of work for doing that to her." Midoriya doesn't stop Shinsou's form from pushing him to the outskirts of the ring. It was his turn to play now.
"I'm kind of jealous of you, you know? Thanks to the shitty way life works, the shit cards I've been dealt, I've always been at a big disadvantage. But someone as blessed as you wouldn't understand that!"
"I get it. Even though you're right, I have been blessed. But thats not a reason to treat others like their disposable!" Midoriya was finally biting back, but it wasn't helping Shinsou in anyway. All this time he let himself be played by Midoriya. The bubbly happy guy in front of him wasn't a pushover like he thought, he was a planner, a risk taker. He was a great pretender, a great actor. Something Shinsou was never going to be out of his own doing because he lacked what Midoriya had. Confidence.
"You're lucky enough to have people who love and support you! It'll be so easy for you to reach your goal!" He's desperate, desperate for some validation that he isn't worthless. Some affection thats reassuring. Words that remind him that he is worth something and not a burden like his mother viewed him as. You gave him that and he fucked up! Goddammit why!
"Im not letting you win Shinsou, i'm not y/n. Im not someone you can push around. I don't know what's going on in your life but for what its worth stop being so damn selfish!" Midoriya wasn't going to lose to help save Shinsou's feelings. Whatever's going on with him, he had to figure it out on his own.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" He was going to lose because he's allowed Midoriya to see his emotions. He's going to lose because he was still a mess of anger and bitterness. He was losing mentally while physically Midoriya pushed him towards his own physical loss outside the perimeter of the ring.
He couldn't take it anymore, he was angry and needed to hurt. Needed a reminder of why he even bothers with all of this.
He punched Midoriya square in the face and the world goes silent. Everything was fair game during the Sport Festival, especially this game. Still, ground rules had been established, no face hits and no low blows. But he still didn't care, he needed more.
"Get out of this ring, you lucky brat!" Pure unadulterated anger and violence was surging through Shinsou's veins. Midoriya's bloody nose wasn't enough for him. He wanted to see the green haired boy cry! Wanted to make the other as miserable as he himself felt every.single.day.of.his.life!
But Midoriya won't allow him this one sick pleasure. He grabs Shinsou and throws him over his own body. Shinsou no longer felt the ground with his feet.
"You play villains? That's so cool!" Middle school was cruel, but the kids were crueler. He doesn't remember a time were he didn't want to leave this shitty school.
"I'm so jealous, Shinso. Imagine all the cool stuff you could do controlling people by pretending to be someone else." They wouldn't stop talking, he didn't care about what they had to say-
"Yeah, you can do any bad thing you want. And no one would ever know it was you. Just promise you won't manipulate us, okay?" "Shut up! Stop!" It was to much, he couldn't deal with this right now. Not again, please not again. Not after he spoke with-
"Heh... Everyone always says that. I'm used to people looking at me like I'm the bad guy, hah. But you know what?" He couldn't deal with this today. He found half truths not that long ago and he couldn't swallow them. He couldn't breathe.
"Im not."
He couldn't move. Back flat on the concrete floor as he heard the loud roars of the cheering crowd around him. Shinsou felt as useless as his former classmates would tell him he was. He couldn't yell or scream, he already embarrassed himself enough today that adding on to it would only make it worse.
"Do you need help getting up?" Midoriya wasn't taunting or furious anymore, genuine concern making itself perfectly clear to Shinsou even though he couldn't see him from his position on the floor. He didn't want his help but he did take in his kindness letting it wash over him and calm him down. Slowly, Shinsou gets up and straightens his clothes. Embarrassment wasn't a great feeling, nor was guilt. He pushed it again.
Midoriya and him exchange words and he slowly left to join his classmates at the stands. He didn't want to see the pity looks they'll him so he keeps moving forward towards the tunnels without giving his class a glanc-
"You were awesome out there, Shinso!" The first cheer.
"We're proud a' you!" The next.
"You didn't tell us you were that good!" And then the next one.
"Yeah, you're the star of our program!"
"I can't believe you put up such a great fight against the dude who was in first place earlier!"
Complements. Praise. Everything he always wanted was being given to him the moment he failed. He always thought that he needed to do something extreme, either good or bad, to gain praise. Yet here he was, feeling like shit and getting support. "Whats wrong with them? They saw I lost so why are they so happy for me?"
"Congratulations Shinsou!" Two words. Two words that people would glance at and move on from, yet he couldn't do that. Why? It was your voice. Sweet and full. A happiness to the voice he so longed for in the past few weeks. You were speaking to him, and yet hiding within the crowd of your guy's classmates. Shinsou turned slightly, now throwing his voice to Midoriya who was standing behind him holding his bloody nose.
"Even if it didn't work out this time, I'm not giving up. I'll get onto the Art Course, get recognized by a company, and then, I'll become a better artists than any of you!" Shinsou screamed back at Midoriya, "So be careful. You better not lose and make me look bad." And with that, Shinsou entered the tunnel, losing Midoriya but most importantly losing your voice. The further he got the colder the space became. He stopped once he could only hear the crowd faintly in the distance and held himself in his own arms.
He had it bad. He needed this today. He slowly lowered himself on to the concrete floor and cried for the first time in years. Holding himself and rocking himself slowly as he let out hiccuped breaths and small whimpers.
He lost today, but won the greater prize... your recognition.
If none of you are aware, this entire series/prompt started because of a personal experience with a person who i thought was a friend and in reality turned out to be a horrible person. I wanted to vent about it at first but i also saw no use for it since that wouldn't change anything. You can't redeem everyone and sometimes its impossible to forgive, so the Incel!Shinsou series mostly serves to show a more "realistic" redemption arc of a person trying to do better to save a relationship that held value and meaning to them and ended up ruining through bad actions. By having the reader not immediately forgive Shinsou and Shinsou learning from his mistakes, this adds value as to why he should be given a second chance by the reader.

Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader Part 4
I still wanted to have a bit of the Sports Festival just to clear up a few things. The next half of this will be surrounding the after math of sports Festival, meaning normal day to day life, or as normal as it can get when you go to a prestigious school like UA.
"You've been inside my mind. And I can't seem to shut my eyes. She haunts me in the colour red. And I can't get you out of my head" - (Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Johnny Goth)
Part 3: Incel!Shinsou x F!Reader (2/2)
Part 5: Incel!Shinsou x F! Reader
The cold was never a problem for Shinsou, it was more comforting than the heat. To have warmth suggests that you’re safe and right now that’s far from what he feels. He's never felt safe, even when his dad would hold him in his arms and tell him bedtime stories as a child, even when his Aunt Kayama and Uncle Yamada would buy him stuff animals, specifically cats, to keep the nightmares away when his dad was at the hospital working overtime. He felt warmth in the necessity sense but never in the form of a want. His dad always said that he needed to learn to distinguish what a "want" and a "need" was, to his little 6 year old head, these things were one and the same. Wasn't he wrong.
He didn’t see you but he heard you. This was the only interaction he had pulled from you since his fuck up and he isn’t sure if you did it out of pity. Oh well, it’s not like he’ll speak to you since you’re so adamant in avoiding him. He’s not going to look for you today at least, he’s still to embarrassed to want to deal with anyone. Shinsou was so distracted with his own thoughts he didn't hear footsteps coming towards him.
“Hey, can we talk for a bit Shinsou?” Midoriya walked slowly toward Shinsou's form on the ground. He lowers himself to then throw his whole weight to the side in order to sit down. The trail of blood coming out of his nose still fresh and actively dripping with a red river following it.
“What do you want, Midoriya?” Shinsou isn’t up for an argument or trash talk right now. Why couldn't he just leave him alone?
"I wanted to say...that its not my place to speak about what happened between you and y/n. But you're both my friends and want what's best for the both you. You're clearly not fine, so if you ever need to speak to anyone, you can count on me." It was impossible to hate Midoriya, especially when he was considerate of others. Here he was, still bleeding from his nose and yet comforting and willing to listen to him. What a jerk.
"How did you even know that something happened between us?" Shinsou honestly expects him to say that you told him, he kind of deserves to be misplaced again by his own friends after everything.
"Oh, she didn't say anything to me, i promise. It was actually Kacchan who told me." That didn't land well with him. It makes it sound like you trusted the blonde fu- no, no, stop. It made it sound like you trusted the blonde...guy with the situation between you and him. Shinsou isn't angry but he does feel weird. Why would you trust Bakugo, especially Bakugo?
"And how did he find out?"
"Not sure, but he's been vocal about how he doesn't really like you since then. I think its best if you two stay away from each other." Shinsou agrees, staying away from Bakugo would keep him safe but also let him figure out what to do when it comes to fixing his non existing friendship with you.
"Yeah, i'll stay away from h-"
"Im not talking about Bakugo." Midoriya's face and welcoming presence shifted suddenly. He's said it before and he'll say it again, Midoriya is blessed. Blessed with the ability to shift tones so quickly and smoothly. To think the sweet little (not so little anymore) Midoriya was the same person standing in front of him looking like he'll challenge you into a fight and would win. God he was scary, Shinsou couldn't help but shudder a bit.
"Then who-"
"Y/n, i'm talking about y/n. Don't try to "fix" anything with her. You might have noticed already but she doesn't really show up to classes anymore and its going to affect her grades eventually. Please leave her alone."
"I understand but i-"
"Then if you understand you'll leave her alone and let her move on at her own pace. Don't push your presence on to her. She'll deal with you when she can." With that Midoriya doesn't let Shinsou talk and gets up from his place on the ground.
"Welp, i have to go to the Wellness Center, see yeah later Shinsou!" He dusted himself off and walks away with a endearing smile on his face. Yeah, Midoriya was scary.
Shinsou didn't necessarily know what he was going to do. He didn't have to stick around to watch the the final rounds of the last game, so he decided to walk back to his locker, get his wallet and walk around the food stands surrounding the Colosseum. He just needed a distraction from having cried to himself after his match and get rid of the lingering embarrassment that clung to him.
As he walked around, people would turn and stare at him as he went about his business. Some people would complement him, others would make rude comments, he understands fully. He doesn't blame anyone for the comments they make. Constructive criticism is great, criticism isn't really but it's still a comment that he can keep in mind incase it holds some value. Overall, he was enjoying his time, he saw Midoriya's fight with Todoroki and all he can say was "Shit, he recked my ass by throwing me over his shoulder and i thought that was bad. Todoroki's at a whole other level of terrifying with those combat skills he has.", and he also got to get his hands on some mochi that was being sold at one of the stands. It had multiple different flavors but also came in animal designs, naturally he bought as many cat designed ones for himself and his dad.
Walking back to the Colosseum was pleasant, the weather was nice, the people were great, everything was right for once. Shinsou turned his head to face the big screens on top of the massive arched doorway. He saw the faces of the winners and as the camera panned over the cheering crowd. He smiled at just how happy everyone looked, then the camera panned over the classes. You where standing up cheering and yelling out in support for the winners. You looked so happy. Why where you happy? Why couldn't he be the same? He's bitter again, he's misplacing his anger. He needs to leave before he fucks up even more, before he has another outburst.
Once off campus, Shinsou walked to the convenient store that was on his way home. He's greeted by the cashier and goes to the back of the store to grab a large sub for his dad plus a box of canned cold coffees for the both of them. He knows the feeling in his chest is shame, he will admit that, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to get rid of it. He heads to the counter and lets he cashier scan his items.
"It's nice to see you after the festival, how was it? Did you meet any company reps?" The cashier was a friendly guy a year above him from a school in the area. Always smiling, always kind. Everything Shinsou wasn't and still isn't.
"It was pretty good, ah, i did get to see some reps but they're not going to focus on anyone that isn't in the Art course or STEM."
"Aww man, that sucks. Well, you definitely left an impression, at least on the public! The entire time i was on the edge of my seat! I couldn't believe that was you, the guy thats always brooding while that girl friend of yours is all cheers and support."
"Don't- It-Stop! Its not like that!" Shinosu's cheeks don't flush but the top of his ears do, a beautiful and shy pink that slowly starts to burn hot.
"Sorry, man. No need to get tense. I meant your girl-friend. You know, girl who is a friend. Maybe more woman since she's an adult and im calling you man, but i also call her man even though she's not, well i don't know if she identifies as a man, or maybe she's fluid gender wise. No, wait! I asked her the first time because i didn't know and she said she goes by she. So yeah, i'm right. But it would totally be ok if that wasn't the case because as long as the person is cool and nice it doesn't matter-" This guy goes on and on, tripping over his own words of support and indetification. Shinsou thinks it's cute but also heavily grateful that the cashier is now focused on something other than his relationship with you. Even when he's not in school he still lives with your presence. He leaves the money on the counter, takes his stuff, and leaves for home.
Once there, he puts everything in the fridge, including the cat mochi he bought, and heads up to his room. He showers, takes a moment to put on deodorant, and goes to sit at his desk.
"I don't understand why you invest so much time online but can't bother to have a normal interaction with me that isn't you insulting my person. I'm here to work on the project you ass. I exist you know?" You looked annoyed at the purple headed man. He's been doing something on his computer for the majority of the time you've been here, not even bothering to ask if you wanted a glass of water. Not that you would take it if he offered, you're always on high alert when around him and you dob't have plans to change that any time soon.
"I don't have to tell you shit, if you want to leave you can."
"Wow, ok bitch, guess i'll leave and take my notes too." You're not about to deal with a man child, you're already stressing over you're own part of the project and its unfair that he thinks he can waste your time like this while he plays around on his computer. You get up and pack your things by throwing them into your bag, with that you head to his door.
Shinsou hears you moving around but doesn't do anything about it. You're probably just moving stuff around or something. Theres no way you're going to leave- shit, you're leaving! He shoots up from his desk and trips on his way towards you. He grabs your arm as a way to get you to stop but if anything it makes you tense up and turn quickly to look at him.
"Don't touch me!" He doesn't understand why the sound of your voice being so panicked makes him feel panic, and stressed (maybe a bit concerned?). He lets go immediately once he makes eye contact with you, the fear that oozes from your eyes and slips to run down your cheek makes his breathing stunt. He doesn't say anything, moron, instead letting you go to give you your space. You take this as a way to escape, quickly running out of his house and walking quickly once you're outside. Shinsou doesn't sleep that night, not like he does most nights, but this time its more because of you. The fear you showed as well as the vulnerability, it has his head spinning. He didn't enjoy it, the look, the feeling. You two had managed to make progress in your relationship, this feels like a step back and a really negative step back. Will you come back? Will you drop him as a project partner? He doesn't know. If he wasn't so proud,( more stubborn then anything) he would have apologized the next day in class. Instead, he sits down at his desk and watches you periodically through the day. He doesn't ask and he doesn't speak. You two don't go back to his house but to the library during lunch.
Shinsou's desk is no longer cluttered with empty cans and dirty plates. It's clean, just like the rest of his room. Tomorrow will be a new day, maybe he'll see you in class. Probably not, but it's still good to think positively.
The day after, he walks onto campus with anxiety creeping on his shoulders. He lashed out on Midoriya on live television in front of hundreds of people. In front of his classmates who he deals with on a day to day bases. He quickly makes his way inside and briskly walks towards his homeroom class. The moment he opens the door everyones eyes are on him, no one moves or even says anything, they just stare. He gets inside and sits down at his desk putting his head down, he doesn't want anyone interacting with him.
"Hey man, you were great yesterday!"
"Yeah, you looked so cool out there especially with your fight with Midoriya. You really showed them that even General studies can be packed with talent!" Slowly his classmates came up to him to congratulate him on his performance at the Sports Festival. Amongst those people you stood in the back watching as Shinsou rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. You slowly make your way through the small crowd and finally making it to the front.
"Congrats, Shinsou. You did pretty good out there. Hopefully it'll be enough for a transfer." You two lock eyes and you give him a little smile that you use for strangers. Thats what you two are now, strangers. You've doubted everything in the friendship you two had, maybe it was never a friendship to begin with and you were to stupid to figure that out, who knows. With that you walk away from him and allow your other classmates to swarm him with complements.
Shinsou held his breath as you spoke. Your sweet voice graced him for the second time in almost weeks of not hearing it and your gaze, your eyes, finally connect with his. His heart flutters a bit, his heartbeat skipping as you pay attention to him. This is what he wanted, what he craved.
Yet he was slow, he didn't get enough time to reply to your comment. And so you left. But this time he was left with your nice words. No venom and no emptiness. You gave him sincere praise and oh boy was he basking in it. He was going to fix things, he promises.
Still surrounded the Sports Festival but we got out and now are working towards a new arc. Next time we have a new opportunity for you both to interact and truly see what Shinsou's art is like.
(Some of the theater stuff won't be fully correct so please forgive me. I'm mostly going off of what my classmates and friends have told me theater is like and mostly the shows I've watched and have been part of. My stuff mostly focuses on animation and drawings so again i'm sorry if i'm not fully correct on some things.)

"Every time I hear your voice I wonder. Every mother, every sister, every brother, every mister. Every son who left a blister on a daughter when he kissed her. For the chicks with a dick and the boys with the void. Everybody havin' trouble tryna make a choice, yeah. Give me him, give me her. Give me both, I don't care. Give me all, stuck on her, make it work"- (Girls and Boys by Jesse)
Part 6: Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader
The call came in during his lunch period and it had Shinsou nearly dropping his phone on the floor. He was excited but also nervous. Did he get rejected? He swallowed as much as he could of his food and answered the call.
"Hello?" He hadn’t finished swallowing his food down. This was embarrassing on his part.
"Hello, this is Shinsou Hitoshi correct?"
"Y-"
"Awesome! You've been selected for the role of Captain Flagg, congratulations!"
"Tha-" The woman on the other end hung up on him without letting him speak a word. He's sure it's the same pink-haired girl from the audition but whatever he got the role. He got the-
"I GOT IT!" He shot up from his chair and everyone turned to stare at him immediately. He quickly sat down and covered his face with his hoodie. He was excited, can anyone truly blame him for it? He wanted to cry, yell, and do all of the things he used to do back then but this time with a positive twist. He was excited, he wanted to tell someone about it.
Shinsou bolted off-campus and ran towards the nearest train station. He wanted to celebrate and what better way than to celebrate than with his dad. The cramped train didn't bother him at all nor did the sun's heat, the crowds, or the walk to the clinic his dad worked at. He got the part, this was it!
"Oh, hello Shinsou. Is there anything I can help you with?" The receptionist asked.
"Yeah, do you know if I can talk with my dad for a moment? I just need to tell him something quickly."
"Sure, let me give him a call. He might be in a session." The receptionist moved to her right to pick up a phone and dialed a number. She waited in the line for a bit till someone answered.
"Hello, I’m calling to see if nurse Aizawa is available to come to the main lobby for a moment?....No, it's his son.....I'm aware, yes...Well if you don't mind could you at least pass on that his son here? Thank you." The woman looks at Shinsou and smiles at him. "Give it a few minutes, he's with a patient at the moment." Shinsou just waited for his dad, if he didn't come now he would probably come to the lobby on his lunch break.
Aizawa's assistant came over to him and told him quickly that his son was in the lobby. Aizawa told his assistant to inform the receptionist that he'll be heading to the lobby after his session with Eri.
"Nurse Aizawa?" Aizawa turned to look down at the little girl who held onto him.
"Yes, Eri?"
"You have a son?" Aizawa normally avoids talking about his family life during work hours, but children are the exception to his strict set of rules.
"Yes, Eri. Actually, he’s older than you." The little girl's lips quivered for a moment and immediately fell back to a neutral expression. No matter how much Aizawa tried, he couldn't get the girl to smile or play with the other kids.
"Is he a mean older kid?"
"No, Eri. He used to be but he's a better person now." Eri nodded and went back to facing forward. Aizawa took this as his cue to help her on her walking.
Eri was just 5 years old when she came into the clinic for the first time. She needed proper help after losing her ability to walk in a car accident which also left her orphaned. She came in with a wheelchair and just did as she was told. CPS was consistently breathing down Aizawa's neck to make sure Eri was safe and sound at the clinic, meaning that she couldn't really interact with the other kids in the main lobby or staying at the hospital.
“Can i...speak to Maya?” Aizawa gave Eri a soft smile and picked her up and started walking towards her wheelchair..
“I'm sorry Eri but you won't be able to right now. You can call her later, ok?” Eri’s eyes became glossy. The little girl’s mind racing a million miles an hour with an array of different emotions and thoughts. She reminded him of his own son. The way she held onto her hospital gown brought back memories of little Shinsou crying in the corridor of their home. Shinsou avoided him in order to hide that he had a nightmare and wanted comfort from him. Shinsou who wouldn't come into his dad's bedroom, but instead have his dad come sleep on a chair next to his bed to watch over him. This little girl in front of him was in need of someone who would protect her. He wasn't that person.
“It’s ok Eri. I'm sure Maya will be excited to hear from you after her classes. If you want, we can figure out if Maya can come visit you. Does that sound good?”
“Y-yes please.” Aizawa gave her a head pat and placed her in her wheelchair.
“Don't worry Eri. I'm sure Maya will love to come visit you.” Aizawa gave the girl another soft smile and directed his assistant to take her back to her room.
Once he was done cleaning up the equipment and organizing everything, he went directly to the main lobby a few floors below. Shinsou never came to the clinic, he always waited for him to get home to tell him anything. Aizawa found his son sitting down on one of the lobby chairs scrolling through his phone.
“Hitoshi, what's up? Is something wrong?” A worried expression graces Aizawa's face while Shinsou tried to calm his own excitement down.
“Something did happen- it's a good thing, so don't worry.” Aizawa took a seat next to his son, still concerned as to why he's at the clinic.
“I got the role.”
“Oh.” The smile that Shinsou had on his face started to dwindle. He was fucking up again, his son wanted him to be proud of him, and instead he’s making it seem like didn’t care about his personal joys.
“That sounds exciting. Congrats!” He gave his son a full smile. Shinsou didn't really remember when he last saw his dad smile like this, but he sure as hell raved on the fact his dad looked happy for him.
“I got the call today during lunch and I wanted to come to tell you. I- uh also have something else to tell you, but that’s going to take more time so I'll tell you at home.” Aizawa nodded and said his goodbyes to his son.
“Hitoshi, hold up.” Shinsou turned around to face his dad again.
“Could you do me a favor and tell Maya to call the hospital?”
“Sure.” With that, Shinsou finally left and went home.
Maya was the second year in the art course, specifically the theater department. During his freshman summer, he got the chance of shadowing the same company Maya was doing her studies with. She was versatile with the characters she could play and she never settled for one type of character either. She pushed him to try out for different roles and was his main supporter when it came to his acting.
“Why stick with the villain role? You clearly don't want to only do that.” After their shadowing with one of Maya's mentors, she took the time to ask him about his plans for the future. He wanted to objectify her, put her in her place, but it was difficult when the person you're talking to reacts disinterested. The woman didn't care about his commentary because according to her, he had no power. She wasn't wrong. Maya practically exuded power, from her strong posture to her unwavering attitude. She was everything he wanted to be.
“It feels right. It's also not like anyone would pick me to play the "knight in shining armor" like they would with Monoma.” He looked down at the ground and continued to walk with her. Maya wasn't having any of it.
“If you want something you need to push for it. Bleed for it. How do you think I got into the art course, Lavender?”
“Don't call me that!”
“Whatever you say Lavanda.” Maya smirked at him and just continued walking.
“You and I aren't so different. We both got casted for the same type of character, the same type of plays, the same crew. We're never given a chance to expand our skills.” She put an arm around his shoulder, bringing him into her side. Shinsou's face became warm and the tips of his ears became a shy red. He's never been this close with a woman before, even when he was a child, girls tended to avoid him like the plague.
“I'm sensing a ‘but’ coming up.”
“But I didn't conform to that.” Maya let go of Shinsou and instead stood in front of him blocking his path.
“You're giving up on something you love because everyone is telling you that you'll never be enough and will never be more. You love acting, I see the way your eyes light up when you're on the stage, I’m not stupid.” He felt warm again. Not the type of warm he felt when he would jerk off in the shower, but an innocent type of warm. Did he like Maya?
“You need to bleed Toshi. You need to bleed more than you've already done.” Her arm extended and she held onto him. She was so close to him it felt like she was inside of his head, like she was reading all of his emotions. Like she knew what his mother did to him and his dad. Like his entire life was in front of her and she was reading it like a disinterested teen with a magazine. No, more like a parent who was disappointed. No, not that either. What was she embodying with him?
“Hitoshi, you're allowed to be frustrated with people. But that doesn't mean you get to be a shitty person. You want more and yet you give so little. I want to see you succeed. So please, push yourself.” Maya was hugging him.
An actual woman was hugging him, and yet, the only thing he wanted to do was hug back. No sexual innuendos, no sexist comment, no bile coming from his mouth. Just tears running down his face. He didn't understand, couldn't actually. How did she manage to break him with reprimanding yet caring words? How did a woman managed to break a man like him down? Why was she trying to help...him?
“Thank you Maya.”
Maya was the only woman in his life, other than you, that he could call a friend. Even when he was a shit person, he was able to recognize her as someone to be respected. You were his first actual love interest, Maya was just someone he could admire and care for. When he finally got the chance to thank her properly for motivating him, she laughed and told him that she couldn't wait to see what he’ll do.
“Also, I see how you look at her. You better not hurt her or you're fucked.” He didn't have the guts to talk to Maya since he destroyed his friendship with you. He didn't say anything, nor did you but that doesn't mean that Bakugou wouldn't. Or didn't tell her already. Be it that Bakugou was a hard ass, he still learned to hold respect for those clearly superior to him. He wasn't close to Maya at all but he did know that when it came to putting someone in there place, Maya was the person you went to for that.
Maya was the same age as him and everyone else in your guys friend group, she was just a grade above everyone because of her talent and academics granted her early acceptance into UA. Everyone knew her and looked to her for advice, but in this case, he couldn’t look for her. He would be receiving reassurance because she would most likely kill him instead. The thought sent shivers up his spine, if he came into contact with her she was going to do the job all on her own and then have someone else hide his corpse. He still needed to face the music, even if he’s afraid that he’ll die in the end. At this point, he’s contemplating that death might be the best option out of the mess he-
Stop, breathe. The only logical solution is facing the one person that would hurt him physically.
Once at home he jogged in place, pumped himself up to call Maya. This was stressful work, he looked up to her back then which means that she was the real deal. He remembers what she did to the little creep who kept harassing the girls in the 1-A homeroom. Let's just say that the guy came back to campus with a few a cast on his arms and a nice black eye to match.
“Ok, you can do it. Yeah, you can do it.” He shooked off his nerves and clicked Maya's contact. Maybe she would answer, maybe she wouldn't, it's honestly a bargain when it came to her.
“Shi-” She picked up.
He couldn't do it. She answered the call and he couldn't do it. The fear of getting stomped to death by his upperclassmen that he practically saw as his hero was terrifying. His phone began to ring again and he sucked in a huge gulp of air and answered.
“Hi, Ma-”
“You hijo de puta! What's wrong with you?”
“A lot-”
“Let me talk, putón!” Maya was pissed, there was no way he was going to survive.
Maya spent 30 minutes ripping him a new one. It ranged from him not visiting the company to the problem that he was facing now.
“I know I fucked up, Maya. I'm trying to...fix things. Y/n gave me a chance and I’m going to take advantage of that, but I also don't want to push my luck.” Maya let out an exasperated sigh.
“Hitoshi, you can’t rush things. I don’t know how badly you fucked up, but a fuck up is a fuck up and you need to fix it. I’m sure this was already drilled into your head.” Shinsou laid down on his bed and rubbed his face.
“It has, yeah. Anything else you want to advise me on?”
“Yeah, you sarcastic bitch. Come to my company again, we would love to have you intern.”
“Than-”
“And invite Y/n under my recommendation as a reviewer.” Shinsou’s eyes widened. On one hand, it was a great idea, it would mean being around you more but that's only if you said yes.
“But what if-”
“I’ll call you back later. Wait for my call, or else.” Maya hung up on him and left him in the silence of his bedroom. He didn’t disagree with her, but it felt wrong to have her essentially help him fix his mistakes with you. His phone started to ring again.
“Hello?”
“Good job Lavender, you've learned to be more responsive. Anyways, Y/n said yes to my offer. You can thank me later. I’ll be sending out the forms you need to fill out and I’ll also be speaking with my mentors if we have any open roles for upcoming performances.”
“Maya! I- I need to tell you something.”
“Alright?”
“My dad said to call-”
“Sure! Just let me hang up on you so I can call the hospital. Alright, bye!” With that Maya hung up on him... again.
Holy shit, Maya was not only giving him a chance of improving himself career wise but also to spend more time with you. Score! He sat up and walked to his desk where his computer was at. He opened his emails and saw Maya already sent him the forms. Page after page of information that he didn’t care about and signatures he needed to place. He was given a second chance again, from a someone who could have destroyed his nonexistent career. From someone, he used to disrespect and view them as below him. He’d make a mental note to hug and thank Maya when he saw her in person.
When the next day arrived, he ran to his kitchen and made breakfast for both his dad and himself. He knew that his dad would have a long shift tonight, so he won’t be home till the day after.
“Morning dad. Here's your breakfast. I also made you your lunch.” Aizawa came down the stairs into the open kitchen and just stared at him for a moment.
“You’re...happy.” Shinsou turned towards him and raised his brow.
“I'm... sorry?”
“N-no that’s.” Aizawa sighed. “Thank you.” They both went about the house and continued to pack their things before heading their separate ways. They said their goodbyes but before Aizawa could leave Shinsou decided to break their routine.
“Thank you for everything dad.” Shinsou hugged his dad briefly before walking off. Aizawa didn't remember the last time saw his son look that happy, nor remember when his son hugged him last, but he wasn't about to complain. It seemed that today was going to be a pretty positive one. He made a mental note to not think of all of the pessimistic ways the day could go bad.
Shinsou bolted towards the train station with a backpack full of notebooks and his lunch. He was practically bouncing with excitement today. The train was packed, people stacked like sardines as they tried to get to their daily commitments. Nothing was able to dampen his mood and it only got better once he got to campus. The moment he laid eyes on his upperclassmen that was right in front of him, he bolted towards her.
“MAYA!”
“Huh? Aaugh!-” Shinsou crashed into the woman giving her a hug.
“Que mierda! Lavanda!” Maya was on the floor with Shinsou laying on top of her.
“Shit! Sorry, Ma-”
“Hi, Maya!...hi Shinsou.” You decided that right now was the best time to make an entrance. From the position you were standing at, it looked like Shinsou was trying to grope Maya. He was on top of her, his hands at the sides of her body. Maya could see you looking at the two of them and gave you an annoyed look. She quickly placed her hands on the sides of her head and bent backwards. Her feet pulled up to her chest and she used her arms to propel herself up in order to kick Shinsou in the stomach with her knees.
“Get off of me, Lavanda. Your girlfriend is watching.” She hissed at him, making sure she was quiet with the second part so you wouldn't hear. Maya got up and dusted herself off while Shinsou held his stomach and tried to catch his breath. She simply stomped her foot next to his face, scaring the shit out of the breathless and gasping man.
“Sup Y/n. I wanted to talk to you for a moment. You don’t mind if I take you away for a bit, right? Hitoshi, do you mind if i take your classmate? No? Awesome.” Maya came up to you and placed her arm around your shoulders, essentially given you an affectionate headlock in the process. She smiled at you, her tired eyes holding a small glint to them.
“Sure, what do you need to tell me?” The two of you walked away leaving Shinsou to catch his breath on the concrete floor. He wanted to thank Maya for helping him out but he guessed he could do that later since the woman was gone.
Maya and you continued to stroll into campus grounds and decided to ahem your conversation in the empty music hall to talk in detail about whatever Maya wanted.
“Heres the paperwork i mentioned yesterday. You should fill it out now.”
“Oh uh, I don’t-”
“Great, here's a pen. Fill it out so you don't forget to do it later.” Maya gave you a small stack of papers to fill out and just sat on the desk nearby. She watched you as you filled in the forms and would at moments make eyecontact with you when you looked up to look at her. You wont lie, she's really intimidating, like a predator analysing her prey. Once you finished the forms you handed them back but she wouldn't take them.
“Uuuh, i done?” Maya just looked at you giving no response to what you were saying.
“I can just-”
“It sucks doesnt it?”
“Excuse me?” Maya got up from her place on the desk and stood infront of you. She was tall. You noticed that she was taller than some of the guys on campus but never found it odd, the one thing that caught your attention was that she was a “role model.” Not in the traditional way though.
“Having someone you trust use you and then throw you away isn’t the nicest feeling in the world. I get it.” Maya didn’t touch you but she did come a bit closer. This time, her face was right next to your own.
“Sometimes you need to move on to improve and in others, you need that person back into your life to help you make that choice obvious.” Maya wasn't one to be sugar coated in the things she said. She was sharp with her words, she wouldn't leave you place to add anything new unless she deemed int right fro you to talk.
“But what if that person did something incredibly horrible.” You didn’t want to cry in front of upperclassmen. This entire situation was a bit bizarre but it felt nice to have someone address it instead of you having to.
“I know what he did Y/n. I saw the messages and the pictures. I know what websites and what profiles all of that shit was on. I know everything about this shitfest.” Maya held out her hand to you, asking for permission to comfort you. You accept her silent offer and allow her to pull you into a hug.
“I’ve been there, how do you think I know all of this? Y/n, I know the person Hitoshi was and I can also see the person that he is now.” She brushed your head, giving you a gentle squeeze as if to tell you you’re safe.
“This isn’t me telling you to forgive Shinsou, if anything I honestly would tell you to kick his shit in for being an asshole.” You started to cry into Maya’s chest.
“I know your still worried for him, so am i.” Why did she have to be so-
“But if you need to kick him out of your life, you need to do so.” Maya pulled back and wiped away your tears with her thumb.
“You know why im saying this, you know what happend to me. If you need, i’ll be there for you.”
“B-...but what if...i dont want to cut him out?” You looked up nervously at your upperclassmen.
You walked around for the past few weeks trying to look for answers. You made the first advance to interact with Shinsou at the sports festival because you wanted to show support for your classmate. It was compulsive and you didn't think about what you were doing. But you kept going. You continued to be the first to interact with him every time. You wanted to be close with him again but didnt know if it was the right decision. It still hurt, everything that he did to you was still affecting you now. You had to private your socials and had to report accounts that would send you rape threats. Your online life was never safe, with the way you dress you always got rude comments, but those were manageble. This was different. These people would continuously pursue you, they would make an account and then another and then another to harras you. You couldn't exist there anymore but Bakugou and all of his friend reassurede you that they would protect you both in person and online.
“Then thats the choice you want to make. I wont stop you. But keep this in mind,” Maya stabilized you so would fully look at her, “no one, and i mean no one.” Maya squeezed your shoulders and shooked you a little.
“No one is worth your emotional health.” This is what everyone meant. Maya was wise for her age, she was young and successful because of her wisdom. If only people knew that the wisdom that she seemed to be blessed with came from nearly dying and being hurt badly. Mentally, emotionally, physically. Maya was what many called “used goods”. She wasn’t the girl with large sparkles on her eyes. She was the person everyone looked to for help. So yes, she was the "role model" in the modern sense of the word. She was a surviver. Everyone listened to a survivor. If they only listened to the victim in the same way.
You knew that already, yet you kept questioning yourself, what else could you do? You knew that when playing with fire you shouldn’t add gas. Everything was going well so you poured everything in hoping to see the flame become it’s own. Instead it consumed you and left you to rot in its wake.
“I know, i know Maya! But i still care about him, i still want to see him get better.” Maya pulled you back into a hug. She knew what you felt. She also wanted to see Shinsou succeed and become the person he wanted to be. She had to admit, you brought so much change when it came to Shinsou and his person. The poor guy when she first met him was an actual wreck. He continuesly got angry with her and at the same time seeked her out for aprovel on his performances. He came in smelling wrank as fuck and she practically had to threaten him to take a shower or he would lose his chance at shadowing her. She learned to play his games and to make sure he remembered his place all at the same time.
She knew what it meant to want to keep someone who hurt you and try to redeem them. But unlike you or Shinsou, she didn’t get to keep that person in her life. She had to say goodbye and move on like nothing had happened. In her eyes, Shinsou was redeemable. She would gladly beat the shit out of him if you asked her to, she’s sure that your little friend Bakugou would also like to join in. But it would be selfish of her to say that to you. You were the one suffering, not her.
She kept her mouth closed and allowed you to continue to cry to your hearts content. You couldn’t let go of her, she just brushed your hair out of your face. Once you calmed down, Maya gave you her water bottle to drink from. She allowed you to stay in the music hall till the next transition period and told you that she’ll speak with your professor about why you were absent.
You saw glimpses of Shinsou throughout your day, most of them were him and Maya talking or what you could assume was talking since the upperclassmen would wag her finger at him. In one instance, you saw Maya grab him by the ear and forced him to sit down to read out loud from a book. You guessed that Maya was just the tough love sort and continued on with your day. The more time passed the more you reaslized how much of your life was defined by helping Shinsou out with basic shit. Helping him say “hello” and “thank you” to the people that would help him, consistently pushing him to wear something different everyday, pushing him to shower. It wasnt like you got a thrill from having him be dependent of you. It was more about wanting to see someone who was in a shit place in life improve themselves and be able to become independent again. You wanted him in your life again and you knew that he also wanted you in his. You didn’t need to pretend that everything was normal, just like Maya said, if something made you feel uncomfortable or endangered your wellbeing you could leave and cut ties. Maya would gladly beat the shit out of Shinsou if he did anything to you.
Maybe it was time to try again.

Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader Part 5
Shinsou is still working out some stuff from his past while moving into the future but his main priority is getting attention form both you and a company. He's already involved with his local theater but he wants more career wise. Also, here's the link to the playlist i listen to when writing!
"Pull me close, I wanna stay for eternity. Show me what I need to know. I don't know you well. But I'll stay closer. I don't know you well. But I'll stay closer." - (Lady in the wall by Danny Knutelsky)
Part 4: Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader
Part 6: Incel!Shinsou x F!Reader
Shinsou was known for having a very brooding appearance. Never looking happy, never acting out of his usual character. So imagine the shock his dad received when he finds his son speaking joyfully and ecstatically in his room...alone...and on the floor.
"Are you ok?" Shinsou stops talking and sits up suddenly to look to stare at his dad.
"Yeah, um, just going over my lines and stuff."
"Huh, okay...anything i could help with?" Aizawa honestly expected to be rejected, Shinsou never asked for help and he doubts he ever would if it wasn't necessary. He truly is his "problem child", inheriting all of his bad attributes like eye bags and an affinity for stubbornness and brash-ish behavior. So comes his surprise when Shinsou doesn't turn down his offer of help down.
"It would help me out a lot. I'm not used to playing a character that acts more as comedic relief." Shinsou isn't one to complain, at least not anymore, but his dad wasn't the greatest rehearsal partner. Aizawa would stay silent for long stretches of time either reading the script or watching his son perform in front of him.
Aizawa couldn't believe that this was his son. The son he knew as a child was quiet and introverted to a concerning degree. The teen he met was...vile. He was cruel, rude, and ignorant. He never listened to a thing anyone, even his own dad, had to say. Aizawa is ashamed of talking about his feelings, but for quite some time...he truly did...hate his son. He hated the boy in front of him, everything he was before you came into his life. He reminded him of his failures, specifically his failed relationship with his fiancé at the time. He hated that his son needed his attention 24/7 as a child and rejected his care when he became a teen. The horrible things he would say, the lack of regard for others. Aizawa honestly thought about kicking his son out once he started University, he needed a dose of reality. He wouldn't and couldn't keep shielding his son from his actions, it wasn't fair to himself or to anyone who had to deal with Hitoshi.
"Dad? You there still?" Shinsou waves his hand in front of his fathers face, trying to get his attention back.
"Huh, sure, yes. Uh, where were we on the script, again?" His feelings have changed since you came along. For however...dark you dressed, your personality spoke differently. You were serious and quiet most of the time but never intense like himself. As a nurse, he developed a dynamic personality but one that came back to neutral annoyance when away from patients. You on the other hand didn't change, you just were. You didn't pretend to be something you weren't, you didn't care either. Aizawa saw how that personality of yours served to improve his sons own, how you didn't force him to change but guided him to change. You were a great influence and in the few times he's spoken with you, all of your intentions were set out on the floor from the moment you met. You didn't care for what his son did, you just wanted to finish the project you had assigned and quickly.
You where coming down the stairs from Shinsou's room when you two locked eyes for moment.
"Hello, and who are you?" He's never seen someone other than himself wear so much black before. The way you composition everything on your person, he was impressed with the dedication.
"I'm y/n, i'm working on a project with your son."
"Whats the project about...?" An annoyed looked makes itself clear on your face as Aizawa grinned at you once he stopped speaking.
"Im not fucking him, man. He's gross." Aizawa already liked you. You didn't care that you were talking shit about his own son to his face, you just did what felt right.
"I wasn't saying you were but even if you were id tell you to run for the hills."
"Im planing on kicking his ass if he tried anything. Running would be the next option." You asked for a glass of water which Aizawa gladly gave to you. You both chatted for awhile and once done you left to go home. Aizawa was glad he spoke with you, a breath of fresh, clean, air for once. The pleasant presence that you left behind was quickly disrupted by his son screaming to him from upstair.
"WHY WERE YOU TALKING TO HER!?" Aizawa didn't want to deal with this. His shift was long and he just needed to rest.
"I was just saying goodbye to-"
"I DON'T FUCKING CARE, DON'T SPEAK TO HER!" The door slamming shut followed Shinsou's voice and left Aizawa in complete silence again. He didn't want to deal with this anymore, his son was going to far thinking he won't retaliate.
"You know what? You're clearly not all that there so i'm just going to continue practicing on my own." With that Shinsou got up from his place on the floor started walking around his room speaking to himself. If Aizawa hadn't raised the boy, he would have thought he was insane for having a full length conversation on his own.
Aizawa didn't resent his son anymore, the feeling went away when he saw you two chatting one day on your way back to Hitoshi's home. You both were happily laughing while walking in pace holding bags full of food. Hitoshi's face wasn't dark like he usually keep it, but instead he was smiling and talking with you instead of his usual of speaking over you. His dad buttons were pushed and all he wanted to do was grab his sons face and give him all of the kisses he didn't give all these years. He wanted to praise him and give him recognition for just being happy for once. He felt more of a failure now than he did then, because now he realizes that all his son needed was someone to speak to. He deprived him of a healthy connection. He did fail....and he blamed a 6 year old for it.
"Its probably for the best, im not understanding what any of these margins and quotations are for." Aizawa chuckles and stood up as well. He smiles at his son, to think this boy was now a man standing close to his own height. With that he leaves and wishes his son well on his practice.
Shinsou doesn't remember the last time his dad spent time with him like this. Even as a 6 year old his dad only gave what he could manage after being rung dry from the long hours at the hospital. It was only recently that his dad started working at a children's clinic out of the pay being better as well as the patients. (Kids didn't bitch, adults did. Sounded like a great deal to Aizawa.)
"No point in reflecting on the past." Shinsou knows that they both held regrets over the past, but they couldn't go back and fix them. He shook his head and starts pacing around again.
"How the fuck am i suppose to do as well as Louis Wolheim?"
Shinsou arrived on campus and headed straight to the lockers. He wanted to pick up his copy of the play he was auditioning for. The play was called What Price Glory?, a comedy-drama that Shinsou was interested since it would help push his acting skills. He was going to audition for one of the two main male leads. He never did comedies, he couldn't see himself playing a clown on stage when he looked the way he did. He didn't think the people who did comedies were clowns, it just took a special kind of attitude and presence to really sell comedic relief in a natural manner. The only reason he felt comfortable auditioning for the main lead role was because the one of the mains was suppose to be an imposing and villainous figure. He wanted the role more than anything because not only does he feel like he would succeed, but because it would be heavily promoted through the city because many children of the wealthy were going to audition and UA's theater department students were actively competing for a role. This was going to help him gain the attention go the UA heads of departments.
Once at the lockers, he took out his copy and started jutting down notes on the margins. He doesn't really like the story completely, the ending was nice since it wasn't cliche but the story overall was boring. Why would anyone want to watch this?
"What Price Glory?? It's not that good but the ending is okay." That got Shinsou's attention. You were standing in front of your own locker putting and taking things out looking casual as always. You didn't even bother to look at him as you spoke, but yet again he didn't care. The fact that you were speaking to him made his body tense and chest flutter with joy.
"Oh, really...? Im just... covering it for an audition i'm doing."
"That's nice." You clearly weren't going to speak with him longer then necessary but you made an effort to engage with him which fills him with confidence to try something that would be typically seen as friendly. Considering the fractured relationship you both had with one another, this was more a leap of faith, bold even.
"A-ah, hey. I wanted to ask if you would help me with my reading, si-since you've already read the play- That is if you want to! You don't have to help me if you don't want." He was nervous to say the least. You were intimidating, your presences was heavy but you were a nice person once you got used to the look. You didn't answer for a while but once you finally took your head out of your locker you direct yourself towards him.
"Sure, we can meet during lunch at the library." With that you closed your locker and walked away from him. He could only look at your fading form and dream about your lunch date study session.
As the day went on, he couldn't help but look at you through it. The way you placed your head on the palm of your hand to focus on the board, the way you would take off your jacket and make a pillow out of it, how your eyes would narrow when you tried to focus on some. Everything was entertaining to him and everything fueled the growing fluttering feeling inside his chest. He didn't bother touching his copy of the play out of wanting to review it with you. He already had planned what he would do during your study session, everything would line itself up so that he can gain your trust back.
Once the class was over you two parted ways to go to your next class. You guys didn't have the same classes other then two, your homeroom which was the first class of the day and the fourth class which was history. You all had seven classes in the day with clubs and extracurricular activities just adding to it. In any other University you would get to choose the number of classes you wanted but here at UA that choice was made for. You can still choice the classes you wanted to take, but you had to make sure to at least carry a language, a history, and a math class. With that Shinsou's schedule was covered in academics and artistic extracurriculars. Be it that he wasn't in the Art course, he could still take classes that were art based but wouldn't count as credit for the Art course, it was more for making an impression on the head of department of the Art course and refining his art in the process.
When lunch came around he went off campus to buy you two a box of Dango and Taiyaki to share. When he came back on to campus he was buzzing with excitement, he was going to be having your attention for the entirety of lunch, finally. Just you and him going over a play that neither of you found interest in. Shinsou arrived at the library and started looking for you, when he got to the second floor of the large library he saw you sitting next to Bakugo while you made gestures. Bakugo's form was so close to you it nearly covered your form. He was sitting on top of the table with his back facing Shinsou, the rest of him leaned in your direction and face looking down at you as you spoke. His eyes soft as if-
Shinsou didn't know what to think of the scene in front of him. For one, he wasn't even your friend so he automatically had no say in the relationships you made with others. But for two, he saw how happy you were to be speaking with Bakugo, he honestly thought of leaving then and there out of not wanting to ruin your joy.
"Hey, Shinsou! Over here!" You didn't give him time to leave, you practically demanded his attention just by this those four words. He couldn't leave now that you gave him your attention, he was craving it more than ever. An absolute love sick fool and it was all for you.
"H-hey y/n, i was just- i just got here."
"Cool, come over and sit down. I have things to do after this." Shinsou walked over to the table you were sitting at. He tried ignoring Bakugo's stare, he felt the blondes eyes burrowing holes to the side of his face as he sat down across from you. He wasn't going to push his luck, you were nice enough to even be around him, might as well respect your space.
"Y/n, i can stay if you want?" Bakugo didn't feel comfortable leaving you alone with Shinsou, he saw the way the purple headed man looked at you throughout the day and if its anything to go by, Shinsou definitely had intentions, be it good or bad.
"Nah, its fine Bakugo. You can go." With that Bakugo got up and left you both alone, not before glaring at Shinsou as he left.
"He's a bit...intense, isn't he?" Shinsou nervously chuckled.
"I guess, anyways you're auditioning for What Price Glory?? Why? I thought you didn't do comedies?" You knew him too well. You were also all business right now, the same way you were before the both of you build anything significant.
You both spend your entire lunch eating the food he had brought for the both of you to share and discussed back and forward the play he was auditioning for. He loved it, the ability to speak with you. Your existence was enough for him, but to have you this close to him talking about how "This shit sucks." and "Why is this even a play you want to be a part of?" was making his stomach tighten and heart do flips. He loved the way you looked that day, same colors, different clothing. You always took care of yourself even when you would claim that it wasn't much, you just made sure to not wear the same thing 3 days in a row. Shinsou didn't have that amount of care for himself, at least prior to becoming friends with you. He would throw on whatever he had and didn't care if he wore it for an entire week or it smelled rank. It didn't matter to him. Then you helped him get the job he wanted and forced him to continue with healthy hygiene habits. You were a godsend, how was he suppose to make up for everything he did to you?
"Are you listening?" You looked at him displease, annoyed that he zoned out. If he hadn't moved his face down in order to avoid your gaze, he would have seen that your face held a twinge of concern. You saw the way he was isolating himself again, you were fearing that he would return to who he was before being friends with you. If you ever were.
"Yeah, i'm just...kind of stressing over this. I'm...trying to challenge myself and all that, but i'm not comfortable with a comedic role. It's also the first main role im taking on." Shinsou rubs the back his neck, his nervousness coming back. You two have spoken about his theater work before, but he never voiced any concerns he had just that he didn't deviate from the role of villains. This was the most you both have spoken about his acting yet you never shared anything you found interest in. You clearly liked theater but you didn't seem to be invested in it like he was.
"You'll never break free from the script you've been given if you don't try, Shinsou. You said that this character still falls into the antagonist category, you'll still be playing a character that's "villainous" but at least it would be one of the main leads. You'll still be achieving recognition at a bigger scale while being in a comfortable position." Rational as always, you never missed a beat when it came to bringing the facts. He adored that of you, you didn't sugarcoat anything to him or for him.
"So you think this is a good idea?"He asked nervously.
"Don't base your decisions on someone else's opinion Shinsou. It's your career, your future." You finished up your notes and handed them to him. You start packing up everything you had on your side of the table and got ready to leave. Shinsou stopped you by gesturing with his hand that he needs one last thing from you, he won't touch you. After you reacted that way in his room, he hasn't touched you without asking or making it clear that he wants needs contact with you.
"Hold up, one last thing!"
"Alright." You turn around and face him, arms crossed tapping your foot patiently.
"I know that we're both not...on the best terms. Im sorry for that, i fucked up and i'm fully aware that i'm the-"
"Stop it, please. Yes, i hold issues with you, most of them having to deal with the shit you said about me to your online buddies. You took pictures of me when i wasn't paying attention and even told them about things i told you in confidence. It hurt, but I have to move on from that." With every word, Shinsou cowered into himself. It hurt to see how calm you were even after he was so cruel to you. How you weren't demanding him to jump off a cliff. He felt small again and this time he felt he deserved to feel insignificant.
"R-right, um, sorry. I know that...if i want to be friends with you again, it won't be the same as before, but i still want you in my life- but i-i fully understand if you don't want me anywhere near you! So, all im saying is that im sorry and im a piece of shit for everything that i did. You don't have to forgive me, i understand and also dont expect you to." A silence washed over the both you. The library already silent, was now emptied of every possible noise. Shinsou and you existed in the void for a moment, till you laughter knocked you both out of it.
"Im glad you realize i don't have to do shit for you. Im doing what i can for me. You hurt me, but i'm not as angry anymore. I don't know if i can forgive you yet, or even if i will, but at least you've respected me since...that day. Maybe we'll be on better terms some day, but today, isn't that day." With that you turned around and walked away from the stunned man. He honestly thought you were going to scream at him, punch him, something to hurt him. He wasn't afraid per say, but he expected you to do something other than speak calmly and just look mildly irritated. Yet again, you proved you're the bigger person here. Shinsou felt content with this, you're still giving him a chance to fix things. You still took his feelings into consideration even though you should have stomped on them the moment he showed them to you.
You were a great person, he was learning to become one.
IM DONE, IM SORRY I TOOK SO LONG!!!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! No, but seriously i'm sorry i took so long. I had to do some research for the play as well as actors because i wanted to make sure that it would also reflect on Shinsou himself both in canon and fandom canon.
The play i'm referring to is super fucking old with an outdated premise (i'm talking about the whole "young woman only wants to marry and stupid men fight for her because she's an object and not a person" trope) but it was still interesting to read and learn about since its ending isn't a happily ever after but instead more "realistic" in the sense of "life goes on" and doesn't provide stop's for the characters. The play i'm referring to is called What Price Glory? which had a pretty good runtime on Broadway. It premiered September 3, 1924 with over 300+ showings, had two films (which personally the first film was better because it had better casting and more "historical" accuracy. The second adaptation film wise was more "American-esc" and made it lose it's charm), and introduced me to the "Ugliest Character Actor" Louis Wolheim! (Yes, the public called him ugly. A successful actor!)
When i tell you Louis Wolheim was an amazing find im not joking, the mans entire career consisted of villain characters. He was incredibly talented but because of the way he looked he was always casted for villain roles. What Price Glory? was his last stage performance but he did work up until 1931 on The Sin Ship with was a silent film. That same year, he died while he was losing a lot weight for his performance on The Front Page, his death at the time was said to be because of the drastic weigh loss but doctors later found out he actually died form stomach cancer. He was 50 at the time of his death, so not even that old and with still a large career ahead of him. When it came to What Price Glory? he played the character Captain Flagg which is one of the main leads. Flagg falls in love with a young woman named Charmaine de la Cognac, this starts a bit of a love triangle since 1st Sergeant Quirt also loves Charmaine. (Messy, messy as fuck) Anyways, here are the links so you can read about it yourself!:

Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader Part 6
TW: Mentions of rape/assault
The lunch study date with the reader was just the start, Shinsou had so much more planned up to win you back! We also need to see what he does with the whole company business since it would help him become recognized with not just the city but also UA staff/alumni.
This isn't the only play i'll have lined up, again were following the timeline from the manga so treat this as the Hero Agency Interships.
"So what, I go out every night, sometimes I take drugs. They're like my makeup. This fucking breakup. You see I gave you all my heart and now I hate love. That's right, I hate love. It only baits us. And if you wanna know how I feel, well here's a taste of." - (Numb by Tom Odell)
Part 5: Incel! Shinsou x F! Reader
Part 7: Incel!Shinsou x F! Reader
The day of the auditions finally arrived and Shinsou was a wreck. Yeah, he was exited to try out for a new role but he also felt his confidence was depleted as he saw how many of the Art course students showed up. Whether he wanted to stay or leave wasn't a choice he could have made now, he was already in the thickest part of the crowd.
"ALRIGHT EVERYBODY!!! LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!" Goddamn it, he forgot that he was going to be here. His uncle Yamada was an eccentric man with an interesting taste in...fashion and pretty much anything in general. He was a tall man thin, blond man who had his radio show plus two other jobs in education and tech crew. His uncles clothing was primary leather. Leather wouldn't Shinsou's go to choice when it came to day to day clothing but who was he to stop his uncle when he himself used to wear the same pair of underwear for days on end. Now that he thought about it he was really gross, no wonder no one wanted to sit next to him. He must of smelled like wet dog, he also looked like a drowned one with the amount of grease build up in his hair. Uh great, he was making himself think about how cringey he used to be. He needed to get in the zone for this, no more wondering, no more distra-
"HEEEYYY, HITOSHIII! HOW ARE YOU LITTLLE MAN?" Yamada came up to him wrapped his arms around the younger mans body. Shinsou forgot how affectionate his uncle could also be, this was going from bad too worse since now everyone was staring at him and his uncle.
"Hi uncle Yamada, im...uh well. Can you please lower your voice?" Shinsou wanted the earth to swallow him whole then and there. Please, someone have mercy on him because this wasn't the best way to start off an audition.
"Aww sorry little man, i didn't mean to embarrass you. Anyways, what role are you auditioning for? Your Pops mentioned that you're trying to challenge yourself, why?" Uncle Yamada wouldn't stop asking questions unless someone answered them, this was the first thing Shinsou's dad taught him from a very young age. If he wanted uncle Yamada to stop, he needed to answer his questions.
"I wanted to expand the genres i'm capable of doing, this play could also help me get into the Art course since a bunch of UA Art students are audition too."
"Oooh, thats smart of you! Hey, how about after your audition and after i'm done helping round up the paperwork we go out to eat. To celebrate!" Shinsou looked at his uncle confused.
"Celebrate?"
"Yeah! We don't know if you'll get the roll or not, but we can still celebrate your effort!" Shinsou looked at his uncle for a moment and immediately felt bad. He was such a dick to him and his uncle still treated him with respect. Even after he said all of those horrible things to his aunt Kayama, uncle Yamada still asked him if he needed an allowance or money for lunch. Shinsou knew he should have apologized sooner, he planned on it. For the moment all he could do really was-
"I'm sorry for being a dick, i promise i'll make it up to you all someday." Shinsou looked at his uncle straight in the eyes, "Thank you for everything you've done for me." Yamada's eyes filled up with tears, he knew that life wasn't easy for Shinsou or for Aizawa. Shinsou blamed himself for his mother leaving him and his dad, which should had never been the case because the woman walked out on them by her own choice. He only wanted Shinsou and his best friend to be happy even after she left, that of course didn't happen but that didn't mean it was impossible to happen later on. Shinsou was always a quiet kid but he became vile once things became to much, to see his nephew admit to his personal faults and state that he wanted to do better was a breath of fresh air. Yamada wanted the best for the boy and he'd be stupid not to help him. Did his nephews tragic life excuse his actions? Of course not but his nephew himself has acknowledge that.
"That- that'll- be ni-ce!" Yamada sniffed out. Shinsou's ears grew red at the sight of a grown man, specifically his uncle, sniffling like a child over a shitty apology. Call him an asshole, but he prefers to show change in action not words, so his uncle starting to cry over this was making him feel a bit happy and mildly concerned.
"Y-yeah, uh i'll prove it someday, hopefully soon. Uhh, i kind of have to go now but we'll talk later, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, i have to go back to help organize these kids. Break a leg Hitoshi!" With that, Yamada patted Shinsou's arm twice and walked away from him, leaving the younger man in the crowd of people.
"Thank you." With that, Shinsou is left alone in a sea of people. The crowd was moved forward again, this time splitting them all in in smaller groups that were then pushed into an empty room with chairs lining the sides of the walls. As the group waited, one by one each person was called out to go to a new room with the casters. Shinsou is called around an hour into his group being placed in the minimalist room.
The crew member assigned to him was a woman with pink dreadlock's who was way to exited for Shinsou's own audition.
"So, purple man! What made you want to audition?"
"I wanted to-"
"Amazing! Listen, cool down be nerves! The sooner you calm down the better your performance will be!"
"Yeah, i under-"
"Fantastic! Alright here we are, break a leg or maybe don't!" With that the woman pushed him into a room before slamming the door shut. Shinsou had barely any time to process what the hell just happened but the tired faces of the director, writers, and the other staff members made him stop his overthinking. He needed to do his usual intro before getting right into his performance, with that out of the way he can truly show off what he could do. "Alright here we go."
Shinsou finished his audition a few hours ago but stuck around to wait for his uncle. He knew that there was a lot of people coming in for the auditions so he didn't complain about the wait. Once his uncle finished they both started walking towards a mom-and-pop shop on the way to Shinsou and his dad's house.
"So little man, how's school? Anything knew come up?" Shinsou didn't want to speak about himself but he did want to rebuild the thin relationship he had with his uncle, so if his uncle wanted to talk about his own life then he could do that too.
"Ah, well....i'm doing more auditions and i'm doing ok in my classes..." Yamada cocked his eyebrow up when he took notice on how his nephew trailed off on his sentence, almost like he wanted to say something but decided not to.
"Oh? What else? Are you making new friends?" Shinsou became tense for a moment and immediately relaxed as if not wanting to show that the question caught him off guard.
"Um, i-i a-. I did meet someone-s! I have a group of friends, i guess?"
"Anyone you're interested in?" Shinsou's eyes completely widened and he stopped walking, the bags he was holding nearly fell to the floor but was caught by his uncle before they did.
"N-n-no?"
"No?"
"..." Yamada had never seen his nephew like this before, this was new and if it weren't for the fact that his nephew looked ready to pass out he would have laughed. He took pity on the boy and just chuckled.
"It's ok, man. You don't need to be interested in anyone or have to tell me if you were. Relax a bit!" Shinsou follows his uncles recommendation and took a big breath. They continued to walk home but the vibe had completely changed. Shinsou was hiding things again, if he wanted to improve he has to be more open, not overly so but at least enough to show trust.
"You know... there is someone i'm...interested in. But it's not gonna work out, i kind of messed up." Yamada already knew this, Aizawa mentioned that his son did something that was cruel towards a classmate. He became concerned immediately because with Aizawa "cruel" wasn't anything to take lightly. After the incident with Kayama, Yamada and Aizawa both made a pledge to act in order to prevent more tragedy. Aizawa couldn't wouldn't tell him more about it so he was left to guess, Shinsou was now addressing it which meant that he was comfortable sharing with him.
"How?" Yamada knew that asking might make things worst, but he needed to know. He needed to be able to access the problem before he made an assumption.
"I made...some...comments about...her."
"Ok..?"
"It was wrong-i was wrong for making those comments, since i was also making my comments with other people..." This makes Yamada grow tense. What comments was Shinsou talking about? What people was he talking to? He was typically a relaxed happy go lucky guy but with something like this, this brought back everything that happened with Kayama.
"I dont know, i dont know! Please! B-believe me!" Kayama was on her knees crying her eyes out to Aizawa and Yamada. Aizawa was comforting her, holding her close to him while Yamada gave her tissues to clean her face. She's been distant for the past week but she finally came over to Aizawa's to talk about her absences.
"I didn't want to! I-i don't- i can't!"
"Kayama, listen to me. You need to breath. I know this is hard for you but you need to calm down." Aizawa's voice was soft, neither Yamada or Kayama had heard him speak like this before. The last time he did was when Shirakumo died.
"O-ok-k-...." Kayama did eventually calm down enough to form full sentences even though she was still crying.
Kayama told them that she was raped by an upperclassmen at a party. When it came to paying for college she was told that her parents weren't going to keep paying for her next three years, so she needed to make some profit on her own. She knew she was attractive, she knew that men would pay a lot for a chance with a young woman like her. She used herself to pay for her tuition while also working a full-time job at the same time. When she told Aizawa and Yamada about her side hustle, the two men didn't blink twice about this and instead asked about why he started doing porn instead of asking them both for help. They were all adults and they could do what they wanted, but Kayama said that she wanted to do this on her own. She also said that she loved the job because it made her feel empowered, so the boys naturally didn't stop her. She was happy, who were they to stop that. Kayama made it clear that she could enforce boundaries and make sure that the people she was having sex with were tested, safe to be around with. She was covering all of her bases, so what went wrong? Well, this one guy that had been watching her content for sometime became a bit obsessed. He followed her around everywhere and eventually interacted with her at her job. He asked her out and when she said no he would just keep on pushing her to say yes, not even caring that he was the one making a scene. He eventually caught her at a party, spiked her drink, and took her away from the main party. He took advantage of her while she was barely conscious with what was happening. She cried throughout the entire thing and once it was over she couldn't move. Her entire body was in pain, her legs and arms covered in dark splotches and red lines. She isn't able to breath properly, the arms around her caressing her, making her feel nauseous. Once she was able to fully collect her thoughts after the event, she went to her two friends after avoiding them for a week.
"Did you...report?" Yamada was scared that she didn't, the likelihood for her to even get some recognition in the eyes of the justice system.
"I did..." Aizawa and Yamada both understood what that meant. They did the kit and asked the questions but nothing would come from it. So, practically her rapist was free. Kayama now had to pay the consequences for someone else's actions.
"Huh...you do remember what happened with your aunt, right?"
"Yeah, i do. About that! I need to apologize for what i said in high school-"
"You can do that later but for now i need you to listen." Shinsou nods his head and continuous walking with his uncle.
"She went through a lot and even became a hermit for a while. She never fully recovered and we know that the guy was never punished for what he did. You in the other hand, you didn't do, at least i don't know if you did, something like that." Shinsou's eyes fell and his body caved into itself. His uncle was right of course but he was brutal when he wants to be, its honestly refreshing.
"You hurt someone who might of held you in a close position, Hitoshi. You're the reason for her distress and she has to live with the consequences of the actions you took...and...wait. Did you apologize?"
"I did, i don't feel like she's fully accepted it and that's fine because i'm not going to force her to accept it. She made it clear that she might if the things i did and said weren't as severe."
"Alright, at least that's a step forward and you're respecting her boundaries. That still doesn't excuse the things you did but as i said, its a step forward." Yamada wasn't going to go easy on his nephew just because they're family but he will admit that he did well in apologizing to you. He doesn't fully understand the situation so he can only go by Shinsou and his dads intel, that doesn't mean he can't pick up Shinsou's body language. He saw how his nephew showed his regret, the heavy feeling of sadness making him tense and the features on his face drooped down. He patted his shoulder and pulled him closer.
"It's a starting point and i'm glad you're learning from your mistakes." They finally made it to Shinsou's home and before they went inside Yamada stops his nephew from unlocking the door.
"I don't know the full story but please remember that you can trust me and your aunt. You're naturally going to trusts your pop's more than us but were here for you." Shinsou relaxes bit before becoming alert. He turned to face his uncle.
"Ah, ca-could you tell aunt Kayama that i want to speak with her, maybe soon? I get it if she doesn't want to but can you at least tell her that i'm sorry and i want to show that i am?"
"Sure, little man!" Yamada and his nephew walked into the house and started to set out everything they bought. Be it that this was so incredibly normal for families to eat together, Shinsou never ate with the rest of the family, always inside his dirty room screaming at something on his monitor. Yamada couldn't help but tear up again, naturally Shinsou found himself confused because "What the fuck, man? Are you ok?" Yamada just nodded and continued eating away.
A few days after the audition, Shinsou continued to worry over it but also divided his attention on you. His uncle Yamada mentioned that his aunt agreed to meet with him after class that day, so he was defiantly trying to make his apology clean and clear to avoid any confusion. That of course, didn't stop him from searching for you. The classes that you both shared were the only times he got to share a space for long times with you. He got to see you in halls but that wasn't enough time for him to speak with you.
With all of this coming on to him and stressing him out a bit, he made the choice to hide in the library for lunch. He just needed a moment to calm down and the quiet nature of the library was perfect for that. He made it to a secluded corner in the first floor of the library and sat himself down unpacking the lunch he bought form the cafeteria. He mindlessly scrolled through his phone till he heard someone giggle. Shinsou leaned out from his little corner to see who and where the sound came from, he immediately became upset.
You were with Bakugo Bakuhoe again, laughing at something he said. You were so relaxed that you even placed your hand on his shoulder. He was a bit- no, he was incredibly envies of Bakugo right now. He had your attention fully and treated you nicely. Shinsou craved that but knew he probably shouldn't butt in, so naturally butt into what you two were doing. He wasn't one for gossip but when it came to you, he would become what they called a "Chismoso". Believe it or not, Shinsou did pay attention to his language class, mostly because he found learning languages entertaining and useful considering that he wanted to perfect his characters accents.
"Soooo, are you planning on going to the rehearsals? We're in need of external input and i know that you don't do acting but it would be helpful for someone to act as free constructive criticism- ouch" You punched Bakugo. He just laughed and rubbed his arm commenting on how youre a good puncher.
"Im not free criticism Katsuki, im uncensored honesty. If youre shit im going to tel you upfront about it because it would be cruel to let your ego continue to inflate." The two of you laughed out loud to that and were quickly shushed by another student. Shinsou couldn't help but feel relieved you found someone who you were comfortable with but also jealous that it was Bakugo that got to make you laugh like that. Apparently he wasn't teeing subtle enough and you spotted his purple hair from behind a bookshelf. You decided to give him a bit of a scare and walked right up to the shelf he was hiding behind, Shinsou noticed this and quickly pretended to skim through a book that was in front of him. Totally not suspicious.
"Hey, Shinsou. How are you?" As always, you were kind even when you told him straight to his fcae that you weren't happy with him. Was it weird for him to say that he loved that about you?
"H-hey y/n. I'm good, you?" Bakugo came up behind you and frowned when he saw Shinsou. This went from being great to horrible. Here you were being civil with him while Bakugo looked ready to murder him if he were to breath wrongly.
"Im-"
"Leaving, were leaving." Bakugo wasn't going to leave you anywhere near Shinsou, so he grabbed your shoulders and pushed you towards another area of the library.
"Ah, quickly i-uh need to tell you something." Shinsou quickly blurted out. You got out of Bakugo's grip and told him to go wait at the library doors. He didn't feel comfortable with that but he wasn't going to push it, he just nodded and walked towards the doors.
"Whats up?" Shinsou looked nervously at you.
"I did my audition a few days ago and i haven't been called yet to be told if im being taken in or not. I was wondering if you would help me out with my rehearsals if i did get in?" You raised your eyebrow at him, this nervous wreck attitude wasn't normal behavior on his part.
"Ok? What makes you think i'll willingly help you rehearse?"
"Well, you don't have to if you don't want to- which is fine! Umm... I honestly want to spend time with you. Is that okay?" He wasn't blushing like anyone else would water saying that he wanted to be around you. You in the other hand were screaming internally because what the fuck? Did he think that sounded better or did he think it wasn't going to be obvious what he was doing? You scoffed at him.
"I guess i can help you, but don't make weird, man." Now that made Shinsou's ears glow red. You actually agreed to help him rehearse even if he didn't get into the play.
"Anyways, i have to go. Bakugo is going to throw a fit if i leave him for too long."
"About that, are you two...a thing?" That nervous attitude came back and it started to make you feel nervous.
"No, we're just friends."
"Ah." The awkward silence that held on to the both of you started to become uncomfortable. You decided that leaving was the better option.
"Alright....bye." You left Shinsou standing behind the bookshelf, his and your own face slowly developed a red tint. Shinsou would keep looking at you till you finally disappeared from his sight, now having him turn blankly at the book in his hand. His chest filled with a warmth that he knew the word for but didn't want to admit out loud. You're giving him chance but still keeping him at a distance which now feels like an arms reach. Maybe soon you both could become classmates instead of strangers.
This took sometime and i really like it. It's cute yet heart wrenching in some parts. I do plan on expanding Kayama's story as well as to the whole Shirakumo story and how it that affects everything. Next time, we'll see what happens with the play and if any company is planning on picking Shinsou up.

Incel!Shinsou Oneshot: "Why are you acting like that?”
To keep busy I just thought that a oneshot of Shinsou getting self conscious/needy would be cute since we already have his redemption arc rolling in. The next part of the Incel!Shinsou series (Part 3) will have him proving his worth at the Sports Festival. So in thinking of how he will prove himself to you I thought of how will all of those people affect him, especially you. ( This oneshot takes place pre changes, so Shinsou is still his disgusting self but he's figuring out how to woo a woman, especially of your caliber.)

Incel!Shinsou Headcanons
"I know what you're doin' here. Made your intentions clear. Oh you, you terrible thing, you. Terrible thing, you. Terrible thing, you. Beautiful thing"
TW: Strong Language, Mild Sexism
People were never an obstacle when it came to the things Shinsou wanted. He’s aware that others would do anything for him if he played his cards right. The right words with the right question did wonders for him. So why the fuck couldn’t he have what he wanted when it came to you? You drove him up the wall with the kindness you showed him. He didn’t deserve it and you’re existence almost felt like a punishment from whatever deity that existed out there to make him suffer. You guys were suppose to be studying for your upcoming project that required a poster, a slide show, and one influential person that would help prove your projects point. You left him running circles within his own mind as to how you were so willing to challenge him. He wanted you to obey him not see through his bullshit. It wasn’t like you didn’t listen to him vent, or didn't give him attention, but he wanted to hold you under his control. To be the person you listened to.
In class you where both seated on the extreme ends of the room on opposite sides. You never realized this (you do), but his head would periodically turn towards your direction to look at you, to figure you out (liar). This time, you managed to catch him do it.
“What are you doing?” You asked plainly. You honestly didn’t care that he was staring, everyone does when you dress like you're attending an MCR concert in the middle of autumn.
“You look different....today.”
“Nice.” It was difficult to care. Shinsou was just some guy in your class that you had to deal with. Nothing special really....ok, maybe it wasn’t fully true. You didn’t really know him all that well or anything (Unless it was mocking and belittling everything you did, that was normal behavior for him so it wasn’t surprising to find out he was like that outside of campus.) but he wasn’t all that bad? If he cared for himself a bit more, hygiene wise he would be considered handsome or at least a competent human being (you weren't going to call him a man, men don't act this childish. At least the ones you knew.) Maybe then you would take his opinion seriously, but for now you’ll ignore his...interesting comments he's been throwing towards you today.
“It’s rude to ignore someone when their talking to you, you know?” The neutral face he had now possessed a frown and a furrow to his brows. You still couldn’t process how he took the time to make sure his hair stayed purple but didn’t care for his body odor. (This man dyes his hair purple yet cant bother to shower or use deodorant for once in his life.)
“I’m not ignoring you, I’m just not interested in anything you have to say.” With that you get up and take your things and leave. There was no point in wasting time on someone who couldn’t even look at you directly and had to also sneak glances at you. "Do I really look that unbearable?" you thought to yourself. In the end you didn’t care anymore, everyone was entitled to an opinion and the last thing you need is feeling self conscious because of your out of place classmate.
Shinsou was fuming. How the fuck did you just get up and leave his ass while he was trying to complement you. You should have been more appreciative that he was giving you his attention for once. A bitch like you wasn't even worth it so he doesn't understand why he even tried with you.
He never goes directly home after school but instead to the local theater. It was one of the few places where he could be around others and could genuinely be himself. It was weird, he didn't feel like himself when he was speaking with his "friends", friends that he's never spoken to verbally, never seen, and never would meet. He knew that he didn't deserve this, to have a safe haven when he acts like an ass, yet here he was.
"Good morning Shinsou! How are you? Are you ready for rehearsals? You did remember to read your lines, right?" Shinsou rolls his eyes at his theater mates antics. Monoma never seems to stop but he does know when to tone it down and when it comes to Shinsou he tones it down a bit. (Because Monoma is canonically considerate of others, look back the Sports Festival and the Joint Training Arc.)
"Im good man, yes i did read and memorized the script, dont worry about it." What an odd friendship, the most chaotic gentleman like man out the bunch with the quietist incel in the group. Shinsou should have seen it coming when he was adopted by Monoma but he's running on 2 to 4 hours of sleep so he doesn't really care.
Believe it or not Shinsou does take showers (only for theater) but very quickly and with no care (no shampoo or soap, fucking why man.) Theater means more to him and so making his character look the best they possible can was his first and foremost priority. He puts on his costume, gets to makeup (the minimum, because it's "gay" for him to wear makeup and since the world is unfair and cruel he has perfect skin for a greasy headed asshole.)
"Everyone get a move on! Kodai, Tsuburaba, and Awase! Go to stage left! Light techs, how's it up there?" One of the tech heads shouted out. Shinsou and Monoma got to their positions on the stage and the rehearsals began.
Love, the play was about love. Love that wasn't rejected but also not accepted. He didn't understand the concept fully. Was it romantic? Platonic? Familiar? Admiration? He loved his dad, but he mostly admired him. He worked long hours and middle resents him for not being there for him, yet he realizes that his dad works to give him the world, a home with all the things he wanted. He never had a mother so he never had parental or familiar, again his dad was there but he wanted a parent that would hold him when he came back from school everyday. He didn't have a girlfriend, so he doesn't know romantic. So far all of his characters where villains, or evil in some way. He was starting to get sick of them. Shinsou wanted something more, wanted to play a character that wasn't how everyone saw him as on his day to day life. He wanted a challenge, he wanted....affection. Just to show it. He wanted attraction. Just to abuse it. He wanted...love. To just...maybe...feel...enjoy...understand it.
"You terrible thing you. My love, you're so cold. You've left me hanging on every one of your words. You've made me loose my self, lose my self-control because of you!" He pours everything into his performance, his loneliness, his regrets, his experience. He's been told by his co-performers and directors that he has a great future in the arts, in theater. If he just took care of himself more he would be an amazing actor, not only incredibly talented but also attractive. He would have the world kneeling, bowing to him just from his words alone. He could have anything he wanted just because of his existence.
" You've made me do things i don't want to do...for you." Kodai stands there looking horrified. He's covered in blood, the blood of her lover, the one she left him for.
"No, i-i didn't-"
"YOU MADE ME-MADE DO THIS FOR YOU! You terrible, terrible, terrible thing! You beautiful thing, I've done this for you!...and you still cant and won't love me." He doesn't see Kodai anymore. It's not her face he sees, nor her voice that he hears.
Its you...its your voice. You. You looking back at him while he slowly lowered himself to kneel and crawl towards you. It's you who backs away from him as he starts to cry and hiccup.
"You wreck me, you made me. You leave me in your wake, please let me go!" He sees you and feels you grabbing his wrists back, pushing him into himself.
"Don't you ever let me go...."
You terrible beautiful thing, you.
And here we are again. This was a lot fun to write since it feels more concrete when it comes towards his personality and his full thought process. In many cases people like Shinsou just want attention or some sense of validation, which there is nothing wrong with wanting those things but it's more about the manner you go about it. You shouldn't pressure or force others to spend time with you, but there is always someone out there that will like to give you those things.

Incel!Shinsou Headcanons:
TW: Mentions of SS/Assault, Misogyny, Mild Strong Language
I wasn’t aware that a lot of people liked the idea of Shinsou being an incel. So let's fuel the flames a bit more. (Quick Note: This is a No Quirks AU since i wanted to keep it in reality. All characters are 18+)
Keep in mind that UA in this AU is a University that focuses mostly on STEM and Art. Think of the Hero Course as a the Art Course while the Support Course is the STEM Course. Business Course is still the Business Course. UA is responsible for many talented and intelligent people such as Aizawa who's a nurse, Yagi who's a famous actor, and Endeavor who is also an actor. Within the Courses you you have specific departments such as for STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and mathematics. For Art: Theater, Painting/Drawing, Music, Vocal, Dance, Media, and Writing.
Part 1: Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader
Part 2: Incel! Shinsou x F!Reader
Ok here we go.... Incel!Shinsou pre meeting you + backstory
Shinsou lives with his dad Aizawa, a nurse at the local hospital. Aizawa is always at work and barely pays attention to what his son in doing online or with people irl.
Shinsou is raised by a single dad which took a bit of a toll on him since he didn’t have a female relative other than his pornstar aunt Kayama as an influence. (This isn’t where he became an incel btw. During this time he's around elementary so he's not even aware as to what Kayama's work is.)
With a limited relationship with women, and other people in general, he became isolated as a young kid. His dad never being able to make it to school events or any of his games (Shinsou plays baseball) left him to be the butt of the jokes the other kids would make because of a lack of a parental figure.
Shinsou starts to invest most of his time on the internet to look for validation and a distraction from the cruel jokes and absent attention in his life. (Which was the first mistake.)
He starts investing more time into playing video games than school and makes no effort to socialize in person because he found “friends” online that understood him and his struggles.
From there, the pour in of misogynistic ideals comes in (if you’ve played any FPS ever you know what I’m talking about, XBOX chat 😬)
He starts to fall for all of it and even starts to push away Aizawa because he feels like he's never really cared about him. (He's about middle school age here, remember that kids develop a lot of their personality during this time. You can take this as him being and angsty teen)
When it came to his aunt Kayama, he was incredibly cruel. He would mock her and taunt her about literally everything she did and eventually went as far as to mock her SS. Telling her that “It was your fault. If you weren’t such a slut it would’ve never happened. Maybe keep your legs closed next time!” (Freshman/Sophomore in High School)
That solidified everything
Aizawa sent him to his room and pretty much ignored him thinking that Shinsou would eventually apologize. That never happened and they’ve both been on edge with each ever since.
Shinsou falls deeper into this mindset and even starts to ignore his own hygiene because he wants to keep away "whores who only want him for his looks." (I cant believe I've somehow manage to make him someone i hate.)
He falls...and falls....and falls for this mindset to the point that his chances of getting into a good school, UA specifically, are slim since he neglects his studies in favor of berating women and other groups on the internet for shits and giggles.
He's loosing any chances of furthering himself because he feels miserable yet is stubborn about his own mindset. He knows his opinion makes people ignore him, at this point he's doing it because he genuinely wants to be alone. He hates everyone and everything.
Shinsou loves theater! This boy is secretly a geek at heart and tells NO ONE about the fact he takes acting courses. (Aizawa doesn't think that Shinsou deserves to have his acting classes be payed for because he isn't doing well in his academics but he also hopes that Shinsou, having something positive in his life like theater can help him change his attitude)
He ends up getting into UA in the General Study course which pisses him off because he was trying out for the Art Course (Throws a tantrum once he finds out but doesn't stop him from practicing. He's dead set on getting into the Art Course)
With the school year started, he meets all of his classmates and low and behold there you are. The one person that irritates him off the bat just because you exist. (Congrats!?)
