I like how inazuma eleven places so much importance on the number 10 jersey. Framing it as the striker jersey, the guy who scores the goals, when in reality almost 90% of the time that's number 9. You know who wears number 9?
Yeah it's Max idk what you were even expecting out of me

Bad news, it turns out Fantasy Life I has been delayed to 2024
Level 5 apparently said it was to improve it but it’s possible it’s likely not going to be a long time. So far, Layton and the other titles don’t appear to be affected from what I’ve seen.
ALSO BE ON THE LOOKOUT ON NOV 29 SINCE LEVEL 5 WILL BE ANNOUNCING QUITE A FEW RELEASE DATES!!

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road details new in-match systems, Victory Road mode, more
Gematsu Source
LEVEL-5 has published a new development blog for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, detailing the game’s new in-match systems, new mode “Victory Road,” and more.
The company also stated that a new trailer for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will premiere on August 31, followed by more information and a playable exhibit at Tokyo Game Show 2023 in September.
Get the full blog below.
■ We Want the Game to be Played for a Long Time
While creating the newest Inazuma Eleven game, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, we were very conscious about the roots of the game. However, the game structure of the current gaming industry has evolved immensely, and in order for players to enjoy Inazuma Eleven to its fullest, we have determined that the system cannot stay the way it was since the “good ol’ days.” Therefore, adding to the match system that will take up most of the playtime, we will introduce new systems that pushes strategy.
■ New In-Match Systems
Focus
Instead of reducing the battle at midfield to a simple game of choice, we have incorporated a mechanism that requires players to analyze the situation involving various actions. We believe the action elements of “Player Skill,” “Data Strength,” and “Luck” will create a very balanced system.
Zone
We will change the way players go at it in front of the goal. Rather than a choice of what type of shot to kick, players are now able to think about different ways to attack, such as quick passes to nearby players.
Scramble
This system is based off of a battle for the ball that happens in actual soccer matches. Players can react to an incoming ball by heading it to another player or keeping it at their feet. It is a system where players choose what to do by lining up the cursor to the marker and pressing the button at the correct timing.
Tension Gauge
In the newest game, the individual TP has been removed. In its place is a “Tension Gauge” shared by all teammates to unleash moves. Tension rises as a result of the Focus during the match, and decreases as players use moves. Managing the tension and using it efficiently is the key to victory. The new in-match systems can be seen in a trailer releasing on August 31. In addition, you will be able to play it for yourself during TGS2023 in September.
■ Long-Term Operation Initiative: “Plan V”
In order to make Victory Road something that can be played for a long time, we have devised a long-term operation plan called “Plan V.” We are planning a number of ideas that allows players to enjoy the game together online.
■ New Mode: Victory Road
We are planning to include a mode where players can not only “play against” each other online, but also compete against other players in a “Football Frontier” for the championship. We believe this is a dream realized for every single Inazuma Eleven fan. Match rules are still being worked out, but everyone will be able to take part in qualifying rounds, where players will freely battle and garner points. The amount of points will determine whether a player moves onto the next round. The top players will battle it out at a set date and time.
Tournament Operations via Seasons (Seasonal Players and Eternal Players)
Football Frontier will be played in seasons. Each season will be two to three months long. Playing long hours offline and getting many great players will, in fact, not lead to tournament success. The teams in Football Frontier must be made up of six seasonal players and five eternal players. Season players are characters released during that season. For these characters, you must build them up from the ground up every season. On the other hand, eternal players are any characters that were previously obtained and built up by any other means. You can have up to five of these characters. In order to win in Football Frontier, you must collect seasonal characters and combine them with previously obtained characters to create a balanced team. *Match rules are subject to change.
■ Seasonal Players that Come and Go
Seasonal players that are introduced as first-year students will become second-year students in the next season. They will then become third-year students in the following season, after which they graduate. In other words, seasonal players can be used for a maximum of three seasons. But all is not completely lost after three seasons, as you are able to add that player past three seasons by putting him on your team as an eternal player. Seasonal players are not just random side characters. On extreme rare occasions, famous players like Kido and Fubuki will appear as seasonal players. You can consider yourself very lucky to pull players like that.
■ We Held Auditions for the Main Characters
After auditioning 35 people, we have finally decided on the casting for the Victory Road main characters Unmei Sasanami and Haru Endou! They are both perfect matches for their characters, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear the characters come to life. Staff members are raving about how good they sound, with many saying that they can hear the Mamoru in Haru’s voice. You should be able to hear their voices on the videos released in September, so please look forward to it!
■ Keshin Equipped on Release
This game will feature almost all characters from the past, but we will not be able to include every mechanic such as Mixi Max and Armed. Therefore, at the release stage, we plan to include up to Keshin in this installment.
■ Playable Demo at Tokyo Game Show 2023
The new system that we have introduced today will be playable at the LEVEL-5 booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2023. Please have a go at it!
■ Regarding the New Character Designs
Furthermore, we will announce new character designs. They have very attractive personalities, but we will refrain from saying anything further. Just who is that blonde-striped boy with the strange design? He has a deep connection with a character that appeared in the past. Can you guess who it is?
—Heita Kisoji
—Raika Shinohara
—Kameo Kodoukai
—Minami Kumohara Middle School Uniform 1 (South Kumohara Middle School)
—Minami Kumohara Middle School Uniform 2
—Mysterious Boy
An important character in the newest game. He seems related to a character in the past.
■ Next Information Release
The next release of information will be on August 31, then in September right before Tokyo Game Show 2023.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is due out for PlayStation 4, Switch, iOS, and Android in 2023.

Inazuma Eleven Victory Road July 21st Development Update
The development blog for Inazuma Eleven has undergone a refresh, with old posts being removed as the game continues its development. As a result, I have decided it’s appropriate to translate updates as I did with my initial long post which can be found here when I compiled a series of development updates back in 2020. This is the first post in a series of 3 that will mark the beginning of the…

Gunman Joe is most likely a hologram and is probably controlled by one of the inventors to stilt the other's progress (and probably not whoever Eggmuffin is, as it appears on top of their building and would probably dissuade Layton and Luke's efforts to connect to Eggmuffin). The voice is probably a voice changer of sorts. I don't think this is the main antagonist though.
The background art is GORGEOUS. And VERY American. I forgot to mark it down on my bingo sheet. SNAILMOBILE AND OSTRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how much are you guys betting that the purple fog is doing some psychological horrors (JOKE)
music bangs as usual RAAAAAAAAAAGH
Ok... I think what was originally making me feel gloomy about the models is solved after seeing the puzzle solved (heh) animation, and I feel a bit more hopeful. The models we see here only have one form of shading as opposed to the NWOS switch teaser or the puzzle solved animation. This game IS early in development so now that makes sense. I mean it looks bad but I think it'll improve. And if not I'll do it myself. Plus the shading in the switch teaser is purple-hued and the shading in-game that we see here is black, which is USUALLY a sign it's still being tweaked around in the background.
The fact that they're STILL aiming for 2025 makes me worried though... The game definitely needs polishing. Realistically delaying it would've been expected at its current stage, but persisting in a 2025 release gives it about a year and a third. Of course Level 5 is known for delaying things all the time so they could just be like "gomen minasama 2026" but... I feel like if they are persisting in a 2025 release... mm... After all of that, the trailer was nice but a bit worrisome. It's obvious now that they're still in development and it's not the final look though! One thing that comes to mind is the crusty Desmond model we saw wayyyy early on in AL's development;
Like. There's still time. I would be especially surprised if the don't at least add a bit of texturing to some of the models (like the texture-baked shaking in luke's hat or desmond's hair). I'm less pessimistic about the 3d model style now especially with its siblings looking as peak as it is (inazuma eleven, decapolice, etc)
That being said, I can't say much about what I'm hoping for until we see the TGS (did you guys forget about TGS /silly), though if it IS coming out in 2025... I hope to god it's like. December or something. I really don't want this to be rushed and with how it looks right now I wouldn't exactly be happy with it. In fact if there is 2d cutscenes I can totally see them saving it up for TGS too just to have something new and exciting rather than the same information we've already seen. Concluding, things are going smoothly, models are still developmental-looking, and I have mixed feelings but it's slowly bouncing back to positive all because of crusty desmond png
#bram.txt.exe#professor layton#level 5 vision#nwos#vision spoilers#professor layton spoilers#also i dont know how to tell you this but it was kinda obvious that we werent going to get flora#i put her on the bingo sheet since everybody in the fandom wants her to come back but... I REALLY dont think its gonna happen#if anybody is going to come back it'll either be des or emmy. des because he's not a woman (considering level 5) and emmy bc she has reason#(traveling the world as a photographer for the world times iirc)#trying not to be biased here as I am the des fan but he's more likely imo... but thats IF they bring back old characters. Which...#Unlikely I think although I'm praying for it#I can see them do it to get the older fans excited but thats the thing; theyd really only bring them back to point and be like guys LOOK!!#in a perfect world descole winning first place on popularity and saying a new adventure awaits and having an incomplete arc would mean smth#but im not certain or hyping myself that its gonna happen

Ok ok, I'm NOT defending their use of AI art, BUT I did wanna clarify some things and go into specifics.
Very important: THE PORTRAITS OF KEITA/NATE ARE ONLY USED AS EXAMPLES!!! This was done as a presentation at Cdec Kyushu, a gaming/entertainment conference. They were only showing off how AI could help them develop art style concepts. They are NOT using any of these portraits!
A lot of the assets are place holders. Example: the they are using AI voices, WITH PERMISSION OF THE VOICE ACTORS, as placeholders in battle dialogue until the can get the ACTUAL voice actors to record the final lines.
The stabilized diffusion model... I'm not defending that... There is an example of them using this for the background of this drawing:
They could've just made a bunch of blobs honestly... :/
Similarly, they use AI as planning for concept art. This... I don't really know how to feel about this cause the artist job is to you know. Thumbnail. Maybe this is to just get over art block, but I will say, the title screen for Megaton Musashi X and W don't even compare to the first one.
In order: MegaMusa X, W, and then original title screen.
Now for the MOST concerning out of all of these is using Chat GBT for side quest ideas. Presumably, this is for Decapolice. Granted, they aren't using it to create the script or anything, just to get names and stats, but it's still concerning as hell. The whole advertising of Decapolice was that it's an open world where you can go around and solve a bunch of mysteries, but it kinda shows you don't care about the side quests when you use Chat GBT to generate a concept. If they're doing this, I really hope they only use it when they're running out of ideas rather than using this for ALL the quests by default. I don't wanna wait till 2026 just to play AI slob.
So overall, there are definitely some valid concerns with this. I'm not trying to defend them, but I wanted to clarify things at least to avoid unnecessary fear mongering.
Again I'm NOT defending AI art- it makes me sad to see them doing this with concept art and side quests, but I just wanted to talk about the specifics.
Honestly I don't get why they even need to do AI art? They LITERALLY have a freelance artist program and they could just like idk. Hire more artists. Heck, they even had a program back in the day for Fantasy Life where they let stay at home moms create 3D models for them. Like come on bro, you can do better!
Darts does a pretty good job of breaking this information down on his Twitter:
https://twitter.com/DartsEnthusiast
And here's the original website with all the information:
chat, is this real? (god i wish it wasn't.)
so uh. according to this thread its very possible that Level-5 is using ai art. thats fucking fantastic. thanks guys. definitely not a spit in the face to your fans who've loved you for years for your unique art direction. no. not at all :) /VERY SAR
it doesn't matter if they're "just using it for concept art" or whatever. they're still using it and its fucking gross. As a Yo-Kai Watch fan of almost 10 years now, I am truly disgusted. I hope they recall this decision and go back to using exclusively real artists, or they'll lose a lot of fans (including myself, which would break my heart. I love Level-5 games to death.)
I'm still most likely going to buy Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road and Decapolice when they come out, because most likely if the use of AI in scriptwriting/sidequests is real those will be rewritten in the English localization by actual people. Still doesn't change the concept art thing but i've been hyped for these games for too long to let that ruin it. If it goes any further than that tho, i'm probably going to tap out. Which sucks so much.
This is lazy at best and downright harmful to real artists at worst.
also why would you want it to look more like the anime bro the yo-kai watch anime was ass. thats just me tho askjfhakjhfkjafk
#level-5#yokai watch#decapolice#inazuma eleven#agreeing with op thou#fuck ai art#level 5 really switches from “we're so back” to “its so over”

Inazuma Eleven Bad Boy Band AU (both OG and AresOri)
So I wanted to make a rock boy band (technically we do have one B4 from OG) BUT I WANTED TO INCLUDE Haizaki, Hiroto and Atsuya into the band so, I was like, ok, what if I mix both B4 and the three of them?
Now that's a lot of members for a band but like, hear me out. It CAN work out okay?
This would be their roles:
Tsunami as their main singer! The reason why I made Tsunami as their main singer is probably due to personality wise, I think he just suits it. Also voice wise, I think he can go absolutely crazy with it.
Next, Fudou as a guitarist and back-up vocals! He's definitely a guitarist, I can't see him play any other instruments but guitar. He likely started out with acoustic guitar then later on switched to electric guitar. He sometimes plays as the rhythm guitarist but other times would be lead depending on the song.
Haizaki is also a guitarist and back-up vocals! So, both Fudou and Haizaki will take turns who play rhythm and who plays lead. Whoever from the two plays rhythm will be the back-up vocal for Tsunami! (This makes it fair because rhythm is easier than lead.)
Okay, next up, Someoka as the drummer! I think he would go balls on drums, I dunno. He looks like the type to go unhinged with the drums especially if the song goes really hardcore.
Tobitaka as the keyboardist and very occassionally back-up vocals! I have a headcanon that he used to play piano at some point (has a keyboard than a piano at home because pianos are expensive asf) but got bored of playing classical so he learned other songs and were into that instead.
Hiroto as the bassist! Okay, you might think that he's probably a guitarist, yeah, I did too. But look, imagine first year middle school Hiroto wanting to get an electric guitar but saw a video of someone absolutely SHREDDING on the bass with crazy pop and slap, he then changed his mind and decided to learn bass so he can slap and pop to his heart content.
Lastly, Atsuya as the synthesizer player and I forgot to mention, sometimes he does back-up vocals! Okay, Kai, what the heck is the difference between keyboard and synthesizer? For that, it is best to watch a video on the difference because they are in fact, very much different. Okay, so, how is Atsuya the synth player here? Similar to Tobitaka, he probably learned the piano when he was younger but hated it because it's boring. So when he found out what a synthesizer was, he decided to get that and learn it, making his own sounds and songs from it. Also recreating some instrumental he likes. (I hc he likes EDM.)
So, with all these information combined, who's the song/lyric-writer? Okay, crazy shit here but it's Nagumo! He's probably a soundcloud rapper or something but enjoys writing songs and lyrics for fun (and can think of it on spot because you know, freestyle rapping.) He definitely helps the band's instrument arrangements and lyrics to an extent so, sometimes in their songs, you can see they credited Nagumo there. (Nagumo and Suzuno definitely are a duo lol but Suzuno is a vocalist instead.)
Okay last, Nishikage as their band manager! I think he suits it the most? Probably the most responsible deliquent from all of them so, it makes sense for them to have him as their manager.
Would this end up as a Idol/Band AU for the whole cast, MAYBE! Will I write a fanfic about this? ALSO MAYBE.
I brainrotted too hard for this lmfao kms. Also, I don't know what their band name would be this time but maybe something like Øverdxse is cool :P
Also, their songs would definitely mainly be metal or punk rock! But occassionally they might do some alternative rock, pop rock and synth or keyboard heavy rock songs (ballad rock even!)
This whole thing is inspired. I took inspiration from a K-rock band, Xdinary Heroes. Please listen to them, their songs suit this band so bad, you don't understand...
Anyways, THANKS FOR READING MY RAMBLING THIS FAR!!!! YOU'RE CRAZY IF YOU DID BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH ^^

alright, now that the resolution problem has been fixed, i finally got to play vicro in its entirety so here are more of my thoughts. beware, spoilers under the cut
first of all, the characters. 10/10, chef's kiss. y'all know how i always yap about nostalgia and how areori wasn1t too good at handling it. VICRO ON THE OTHER HAND!!! the members of the new trio all feel unique but they also pay homage to previous characters with out it being too much of a copy paste (Sakurazaki is giving me Gouenji if he was as emotionally balanced as Tobitaka, while Kisoji is giving Toramaru but with much more goofball energym, like Tsunami)
the proverb of the day was such a cool idea, brought me back the time Ares was airing
the focus battles are all still absolutely hilarious and i like it how they switch it up ocassionally where you have to use the same mechanic but a bit differently
Shinohara my girl, my everything, she is already giving me life
i don't mind that the story is broken into chapters, it really gives it anime feel which I don't mind at all. as long as they don't these chapters into DLCs that you have to pay for, i am all here for releasing the story chapter by chapter
IT IS SO SILLY. this Kraken thing LVL 5 pulled was such an inazuma thing to have in the story haha
Unmei seeing ghost footballs?? i am very intrigued to see where this is going. after aliens and time traveling, it really seems that the supernatural is all that this show hasn't really touched yet.
also, Unmei's nonchalance at the realization and going "welp, i guess i'm so obsessed with soccer at this point that i'm hallucinating. oh well, anyway"
speaking of Unmei, he is such a unique character in my opinion!!! he is sooo brutally honest but without any ill intent, he just really knows nothing about social cues (which funilly enough, continues the long tradition of inazuma eleven protagonists being socially inept, despite them being the entire opposite of unmei with their cheerfullness and all). he's analytical and aloof but not hostile, seriously not giving a shit about what anyone thinks, which i love
after ten years, i am finally in my "guys with long hair" era so I am so curious to learn more about Baseball Guy and Student Council president
WHAT IS THE TEA BETWEEN HARU AND UNMEI?? I NEED TO KNOW!!!
The teacher is so foreshadowed to be their coach, pls let me be right, I want a female coach so bad!!!
I love how the concept of creating a football team out of nothing is revisited but in an entire new context. THIS IS HOW YOU DO A NOD TO A PREVIOUS INSTALLMENT OF A SERIES!
also, the graphics are gorgeous, the animation is gorgeous, everything is gorgeous!!
