Good day everyone, I'm going to adress the elephant in the room and make it as brief as possible, needless to say, despite what it might seem like, I am not writing this with a certain person on mind, but I speak to you as a whole community.

This is not about ranfren and the author anymore, this is about respect and human decency, your choice to love and support the author is not a problem and is none of my concerns to begin with. However I'm very rightfully concerned about one's mindset in general. Being a person of color in this community, not knowing what kind of a mindset the people I interact with carry is very emotionally and mentally tasking.

I have been discriminated against in fandom spaces in the past, so I left because I had little to no support, but I refuse to leave anymore and let twisted individuals have the mic, despite not being the targeted group in this situation I'm just as defensive of my fellow people of color in all fandom spaces, I stand to make fandoms nonsense free and a safe space for us all.

I ask you to remove the author from the picture this time and reconsider the gravity of a statment such as that, if your love for him is too blinding to the point where you're going to skew your beliefs around a concept as simple as racism, you might wanna reconsider the way you admire your idols, or you can alternatively block me on this very instant because I do not wish to bump across anyone who thinks of prejudice related topics this lightly and with such insensitivity.

And again, while I hate to coddle this certain demographics into facing the truth I must say that this post is not about the author, it is not about his past. it is about you, it is about the present.

Seeing that anon post waved at my face so casually has made me feel unsafe and unwelcomed. While anon blogs tend to bring out the worse of people -and that's why I don't follow them- I have considered shutting off all interactions on this platform because I cannot imagine investing art and love on someone just to find out that they secretly have a funny opinion on racial slurs, and I cannot imagine the amount of excuses to be expected if we ever faced a situation where my race was the next target, since we're already welling to let the N-word -of ALL slurs- to be toyed with like that.

I kindly ask of this community to be better than this and return to normal grounds, to common sense, and I beg you reconsider and base your opinions around such things while having the targeted people in mind rather than being hung on vindicating your idol unprovoked, by using such insensitive and offensive approach.

About: Nice to meet you! My name is Lilimoon! I am a freelance artist based in Texas. My work is inspired by my love of anime, video games, kpop, and all things kawaii!

Years Active in the Community: I've been in the LOZ fandom since BOTW first released in 2017. I was immediately enamored with Mipha and I love exploring their love story through my art. I took a bit of a break from the fandom after the hype started dying down and perused other interests in the meantime, but the release of TOTK reignited my love for this pair!

How I Got into MiphLink: The whole zora arc, really. Realizing they had a history together and that she was in love with him is what got me emotionally invested in the game.

Experience / Other Projects: Prism: A Jinkook Zine (contributor), Bunkoo x WolfJin Fest 2022 (contributor), Organized a Sailor Moon-themed pop up in my city, hosted various stamp rallys, and design and produce all of my merchandise for my online shop.

About: Hi, I'm Clockwise, call me Clock. Not much to say really, just a guy in community college studying game design, co-running a small business in my hometown, and stumbling my way through fandom and this sector of the internet.

Years Active in the Community: After beating the game in 2022 I wanted more of the Champions before their deaths, and weirdly found myself seeking out interactions of Mipha and Link specifically. That's when I stumbled across the still active MiphLink community on Tumblr, and eventually built up the courage to start engaging and posting my own art in 2023.

How I Got into MiphLink: truthfully it wasn't until my second playthrough where the whole Zora questline truly hit me. Lockdown was hard and I was at my most loneliest, so I think their romance and the tragedy of it hit me even harder. I started seeking out general art and comics of the Champions, but always wanted that MiphLink angle. During this search I discovered the MiphLink tag on Tumblr, and started reading fanfic for the first time ever.

Experience / Other Projects: I've done art pieces for Zora May 2024 and Miphlink Week 2024/2025. I also co-own/run a small business in my hometown, where I manage other people, handle sales, shipping and handling, and customer relations when needed.

My Favorite Works: Zora May Crabby, Spidey Pose Redraw, MiphLink Week Camping, Honeymoon Tour: Kara Kara Bazaar.

About: I'm a young Australian artist, writer and karateka with a passion for cute things and fashion. I often find myself creating AUs and drawing Mipha (and sometimes Link) in pretty outfits that are reminiscent of my own fashion style. This is my first time working on a zine and I'm quite nervous but excited to help out!

Years Active in the Community: I've been active in the community since 2022 but only really started helping out and making a name for myself in 2023 :^)

How I Got into MiphLink: I first played BOTW in 2017 with my brother but was too intimidated to ever get off the Great Plateau. After watching him play through (and get the Sheikah set. I was super interested in the top-knot hairdo.) I finally completed all the shrines and started playing through the main story. While I was mostly interested in Zelda, Mipha's design and personality really caught my attention. It was in 2020 during the pandemic that I started shipping the two and making artwork and fanfictions.

Experience / Other Projects: Miphlinkweek artwork and prompts from 2023-2025. I also developed two video game on my own 🙂

About: Hey there! I’m Perc! Offline I write a lot as a lawyer in the United States. Outside of work I write a lot of fiction and play some music.

Years Active in the Community: I fell hard for BoTW in 2021, wrote my first longfic and short pieces in isolation, and then stumbled into the community.

How I Got into MiphLink: The Zora arc and the fact that Link had history with people beyond being the sacred knight humanized Link for me. Mipha was also a very fun character to work with , as an altruistic warrior princess.

About: Hi guys, I'm so happy to be part of this project! In my offline life I dance, work as a geothermal scientist and engineer, and absolutely love other creative outlets! Hiking is also one of my favorite things ever.

Years Active in the Community: I started playing BoTW in 2021, and immediately fell for Miphlink. I spent about a year not realizing there could be a whole community of like-minded people and just looking for any art or writings I could find! I couldn't abide Mipha just being dead and Link moving on as if it all didn't matter ...so I began writing a piece to rectify that as best as I could!

Experience / Other Projects: I've been writing MiphLink fanfic for about 3 years now, and have helped with Miphlink Week since 2022. I coordinate dozens of high-level projects as part of my career so I have lots of experience with project management too!

I know you think anti-Zionism isn't antisemitism but did you know that you're repeating an idea invented by the KGB to specifically persecute Soviet Jews and advance their anti-west, pro-Communist, pan-Arabist agenda?? The USSR invented "I'm anti-Zionist not antisemitic" so they could sanitize Jew hatred for a nation that considered discrimination against a race or religion to be wrong.

And you've been manipulated into regurgitating it.

Folks would know this if they listened to Jews discuss antisemitism. Many of us know our history. But most don't bother listening to us. They rely on tik tok and memes.

80-95% of Jews are Zionists, did you know that? Probably not. And there's a reason the vast majority of Jews are Zionists. There's a reason Zionism is critical to Jewish identity.

Zionism is Jewish self-determination.

Zionism is an indigenous peoples' movement.

Zionism is Jewish liberation.

Zionism saved Jews from genocide multiple times after the Holocaust.

Zionism is the only successful decolonization movement in history (that I can think of). It's when the oppressed successfully beat off their oppressors: Christians, Muslims, and yes, Palestinians.

I will never be ashamed of being a Zionist. Ever.

I will always be loud and proud. Zionism is a core part of Jewish identity. I will never be silenced. And by speaking up and educating my daughters and my community, I'm ensuring that the Jew haters in fandom will never silence the next generation of Jews.

Maybe someone lied to you about what Zionism is and that's why you think it's evil. People that hate Jews told you that Zionism - Jewish liberation - is a slur.

So, you're not listening to what the vast majority of Jews think. And when you write this DM to me, you're goy-splaining Jewish identity to Jews instead of listening to our lived experiences about the discrimination we face and - specifically - how and why Zionism is critical to Jewish identity.

You know you just learned about this conflict recently and are uneducated about it. You know you don't know which river and which sea people are screaming about. But my family, my friends and my people have been living this conflict for several decades and paid for it in blood, sweat and tears.

Don't you think you should be listening to what we have to say?

Where do you think that ability to write about oppression, bigotry and dehumanization comes from? It comes from experiencing antisemitism for decades. Including from people in fandom, including from DM's such as yours.

Do you have any idea what my bio means? Two states for two peoples? Lots of misinformed bigots in fandom didn't.

And... do you see what is currently happening to Jews around the world and how YOU have been manipulated into contributing to it?

Probably not.

But I implore you to learn.

It's certainly a lot easier to do when you can hide behind the safety of internet anonymity.

I made a choice to speak out against a hostile, Jew hating fandom, and I knew I would pay for it as a well-known Dramione writer because unlike you, I don't have the luxury of being an anonymous reader, free to send hate mail to Jews without consequence.

Jews are only 0.02% of the world's population. We still haven't recovered our pre-Holocaust population. That is what a genocide looks like.

You're probably from the United States. We're only 2% of the population in the United States. We can't convince Americans like yourself that you're creating a permissive structure for your Jewish neighbors to be abused, terrorized, physically assaulted and murdered. Contrary to popular belief, we don't have that power, we don't control the media, and we don't control the government.

Whether or not YOUR COUNTRY is a country that devolves into antisemitism and bigotry is up to you. In America, it's up to the 98% of the people that are not Jews, and whether they decide to speak up for what is right, what is moral, and what is ethical.

Or whether they choose to remain silent and contribute to the very bigotry they claim to abhor.

If you're going to have a major takeaway from this post, here it is;

Despite claiming to listen to the lived experiences of minorities, Jew haters in fandom don't listen to Jews, and abuse them under the guise of anti-Zionism. 80-95% of Jews are Zionists. So whatever you say about Zionists? You're saying that about 80-95% of an oppressed minority currently under attack in every single country they live in.

The Jew haters in fandom can eat me. As with the past 1.5 years, I will continue to speak up about antisemitism in fandom, and I will continue to write and draw Dramione and do whatever I want to do. I only made a finished drawing of Frankie but I still like my more mushy painterly concepts too <3 when they first leaked I thought Clawdeen's glasses and overalls meant that she was gonna be really artsy (so the yellow straps on her jacket are measuring tape) but idk how prevalent that ended up being in her character cuz I've only seen a few episodes of the show...
