Holy fucknuts Batman, let’s not talk about how damn old this prompt is, huh? I hope this is good my darling! Sorry it took so long :)

Morisuke sighs and tries not to zone out of Kuroo’s rambling too much. It’s the same topic he somehow always winds up on, and Morisuke is just about done with it entirely. It’s bad enough that Kuroo doesn’t share his feelings, but to hear him prattle on about someone new he knows who would be perfect for him, well. It’s just a little much to deal with, especially over and over.

None of Kuroo’s supposed ‘perfect’ friends have lasted more than a date, and it’s not their fault that Morisuke can’t get over his dumb feelings for Kuroo, but it’s also impossible to get Kuroo to listen to a no in the first place. This is another one of those times, and Morisuke agrees without much fuss, more eager to get it over with than anything else.

The date goes as well as could be expected, and he apologizes at the end of the night for not being able to offer another. The girl that Kuroo’s set him up with, Kamiko, lets out a laugh like bells, and winks as she tells him that she hopes he finds someone soon, so that Kuroo can get over himself finally and stop begging all his friends to make Morisuke unavailable to do it.

Morisuke thanks her and promises he’ll get Kuroo to stop bothering them all. It doesn’t take very long for him to make it to Kuroo’s apartment, and he doesn’t hesitate to knock on the door even this late.

Kuroo opens the door, his face confused as he looks down at him. “Yakkun? What’re you doing here?”

“I want to date you.”

“What?” Kuroo shakes his head, like he’s not sure he’s hearing properly and needs to shake the words into order.

“I want you to stop setting me up with your friends so you can get over me before we’ve even tried dating.”

“Kamiko told you.” Kuroo sighs and mutters to himself. “Mouthy brat, that one.”

Morisuke reaches up and tugs on Kuroo’s collar, dragging him down enough that he doesn’t have to reach so far. “Yeah. Stop being dumb and say you’ll be my boyfriend already.”

“Okay.” The smile that stretches Kuroo’s face is gorgeous, soft and pleased, but it doesn’t last long, not when Morisuke reaches up and brushes their mouthes together.

“Good.” Morisuke lets him go and nods, turning away. “Pick me up tomorrow night for our date.”

His last look of Kuroo is him red faced and dazed, standing in the open door of his apartment, and Morisuke hurries away, hiding his grin. That last date turned out even better than he expected, even if it wasn’t in a way anyone expected. He’s glad, and he looks forward to the next night’s even more.

SO LET IT GET IT RIGHT Kanda doesn’t write on anything unless it’s important, so he often writes on himself when it’s very important, and he had Alma + An hour noted on his hand, yet he forgot it meant he was supposed to be bc he was meeting with Alma which means either

1) That Kanda legit wrote it on his hand considering it important but it still flew out of his mind, 

or 2) that Alma is the one who wrote it on his hand so he doesn’t forget and he still did

no srsly, i once wrote like 6k purely motivated by someone rewarding me with bits of slutty suga for a certain number of words. it was amazing.

but also im super motivated by knowing people want to read my stuff, and looking forward to the reactions and yelling that ill get for it. :) i also get pretty motivated by plotting out the ideas! esp if whoever im talking to is into it :D

O: How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters?

the characters, typically. even though i know i’m supposed to prioritize the plot since everyone knows all the charas already, i like to focus on them & emphasize how i write charas and how my characterization in fandom might be different from everyone else’s. plus, plotting is hard

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

a gardener, i think? since i mostly let the story unfold as i go. example: my malcolm/link nsfw was just “oral, then anal” for plotting and i didn’t figure out anything else until i got there, and until i sat down to write some of my fanweek drabbles, a lot of them were just the character’s name and corresponding song. i like planning because i think it makes things go faster, but the issue i have is that if i plan too much i forget that i can change things if it’s not turning out right. leaving things unplanned makes me more creative, i think

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

not particularly? i just kinda take little hints from everywhere. even when i try to look for inspiration from another writer or try to figure smth out from their style i usually just get more confused lmao

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?

i’m not sure it’s a trope, but after i saw ur post abt how much u hate power imbalances i realized that that’s like… one of my favorite things… so. whoops. 
i’m not really sure what counts as a trope, entirely. i’m mostly just here for angst & darkfic & porn. 
i like certain aus too like, disney ones, and i generally like some of the popular aus (hogwarts, coffee shop, college) but the thing is i always need them done a specific way or i hate them lmao. 
i actually like a lot of tropes, but i’m so picky about how exactly they need to be written that i feel like i hate all of them

this is so late but i hope the headcanons will make up for it,,

2-4 songs that are probably on their ipod: owner of a lonely heart - yes / nillili mambo - block b / letterbomb - green day; i feel like noya wouldn’t really care what genre the music he listens to is as long as he likes it

the one place they sometimes end up falling asleep – where they’re not supposed to: in class! no-brainer haha

the game they’d destroy everyone else at: noya is… really good at competitive pokemon battles in that he just defends until the opponent’s pp runs out

the emoticon they’d use most often: xD probably lmao

what they act like when they haven’t had enough sleep: still the same old ball of energy somehow… though there are little tells that probably only tanaka notices, like how he doesn’t comment on the cute girl down the hall, or how all his homework is done (he sat up all night doing it), or how he doesn’t seem to crack too many jokes about the teachers in their shared classes

their preferred hot beverage on really cold nights. or mornings. or whenever: COFFEE!!! he probably takes his with extra sugar

how they like to comfort/care for themselves when they’re in a slump: he talks to tanaka about it, and he probably likes to take time off from whatever’s bothering him and work on something, like how he worked on block follow-ups when he was suspended from the vbc 

what they wanted to be when they grew up: probably a rock star or something lmao

their favorite kind of weather: THE SUN IS HIS FRIEND

thoughts on their singing voice (decent? terrible? soprano? alto?): it’s actually all right! people just hate it because they always hear it accompanied by tanaka’s, whose voice is downright terrible

how/what they like to draw or doodle: idk why i’ve always though noya would doodle food, especially momos, and sometimes little stick figures making really cool receives

I’m gonna redirect you to the kuroyaku ship manifesto and if you still aren’t convinced (or you’re just bored and want to read me rambling), let me write you a shortish 2K words argument so buckle up, you’re in for a long ride :‘D

SO, first of all, if you don’t read the manga, I can see why you don’t get it because I never considered the pair until THE CHAPTER. chapter 200, aka, the kuroyaku backstory.

Needless to say SPOILERS AHEAD FOR HQ!! MANGA FROM CHAPTER 199 AND ONWARD

kuroyaku don’t “just fight a lot”, while yes, their relationship started as an intense rivalry with ridiculous bickering over everything, they came to acknowledge one another after they realized they had the same goal: going to the nationals. and you can’t pretend to go to the nationals by yourself, you go to nationals with your teammates

thus, kuroyaku went from rivals to teammates and to teammates to friends over the years c: in their 3rd years, they still bicker but they also have a deep mutual despect for one another. they’re classmates, teammates AND friends with this rivalry/desire to beat the other/to bring out the best in the other

I don’t think I need to repeat all the things the kryk ship manifesto post pointed out :’D

canon facts about kuroyaku:

- they’re in the same class (college prep class, both are nerds)

and i just want to point out that yaku went from not knowing the fck kuroo was talking about

to actually using kuroo’s own game against him :’D (explanations on the terms)

- they hang out outside of school and share food!!!!

LOOK AT THESE TWO OFFICIAL ARTS OF THEM ON A FOOD DATE (possibly badmouthing/gossiping about daishou hehehehhehee)

the fact that yaku is reaching for the food kuroo is mindlessly offering him, warms my heart  (which reminds me that my friend wrote a fic based on the headcanon that yaku never shares anything while kuroo always share with him :D PLEASE READ IT)

yeah i don’t care that it’s a sketch from the short novel and art for anime merch, it’s canon in my heart

- kuroo calls yaku, “yakkun”! kuroo gives nicknames to pretty much everyone but “yakkun”????? ISN’T IS CUTE (he also calls him “paisen” and “demon senpai” haha)

- yaku actually laughs at kuroo’s terrible humor

- yaku doesn’t let anyone talk shit about kuroo

so yeah, i see a lot of potential for a romantic relationship or a simply purely platonic friendship, they have really good chemistry and balance one another imo!

to quote the kryk ship manifesto:

they aren’t afraid to be blunt with each another

their personalities balance one another, they have good chemistry
