Actually think he's got ALL the great points. I am LIVING for Sith-centric POVs. The Jedi aren't right and good simply by virtue of being Jedi. I wanna hear what the other side has to say about it.
It's about time we had a sympathetic glance at the Sith. What's gonna happen next? When and what's the shoe that's about to drop?? Will the Sith be JUSTIFIED or will things revert back to ye olde Jedi=Right?
This is what story time is supposed to be about !!
*eats popcorn.*

He do be making some good points though.
#i hope the show rules in favor of the Sith actually#i want to see the perfect angels be problematic#i want things to be complicated and nuanced#i want right and wrong to be questioned#i want people to see the world from the POV of the 'bad guys' & know that they're people and choices made in the context of their existence#were understandable and right actually#also it's fun watching tumblr Jedi fans try to insist that the Jedi are so so so good and were right actually#and 'don't steal children'#when they sure AF interfered wrongly and unnecessarily against the wishes of an autonomous group not part of the republic#in order to persuade kids to join them#stealing by any other name lol !#'oh the parents don't want this? ok well lemme just put on a horse and pony show to appeal to the kids#. 😎😎😎#'because now it's about kids self-determination when it's more convenient for us. instead of an agreement with all involved.'#like I'm sure most of the kid-taking was something parents also wanted. i don't have any issue with this.#but this SPECIFIC case is clearly a Bad Practice. and i think it's fascinating#the Jedi literally walking around like heavyweights and abusing their power without the legal and moral authority to do so#just because they can and because that POLITICALLY INDEPENDENT GROUP which was OUTSIDE THEIR JURISDICTION was TOO AFRAID#to directly resist#says a LOT about the state of the Galaxy and also how the Jedi treat groups THEY exiled who believe and operate differently.#but not necessarily badly or wrongly#anyway I LOVE THIS A LOT#acolyte#commentary#Jedi

I was talking with my dad recently & we got on the topic of People Thinking They Can't Do Things, and like, he is at his core a well-intentioned person who genuinely wants the best for others, but he has definitely internalized some harmful ideas a la "anyone can do anything, the only thing stopping them is their own attitude". so I was like. I see where you're coming from, but let me tell you a story.
last year, I worked with 10 year olds- many of whom had never really spent time outdoors- in an outdoor education program where they came to spend a whole week doing shit outside in nature. the top two scariest experiences for these kids were 1) very tall metal tower, and 2) walking outside at night in the dark with no flashlights.
I tried a lot of different things to persuade them all to join me for each experience: I presented it with enthusiasm and passion, I did physical demonstrations and scientific explanations to help them understands how safe it was, I voiced my absolute commitment to their safety, I invited them to brainstorm ways to help each other and themselves feel safe, etc.
generally I always had at least 2-3 kids out of about 10 who opted out, or if they did join me, would spend the entire experience crying and freaking out. when it was over, they would conclude that even though they did not die- or even get hurt- it was so scary that it wasn't worth it and they never wanted to do it again.
then I changed the question I asked. instead of asking them to tell me whether they could do it or couldn't do it, I asked them to raise their hand for one of three options:
You can definitely do this.
It will be hard or scary or uncomfortable, but you can try to do this.
It will definitely be too hard, scary, or uncomfortable, and you cannot or should not try to do this.
suddenly, almost nobody was opting out of these experiences.
they would try, even if they were scared, because they know that being scared didn't necessarily mean that they couldn't do it at all. and more importantly, they knew that if they needed to stop, that was an option; they weren't trapped in their decision to try.
and the real takeaway here, for me, is in the nuance: people need to be able to challenge themselves and to be uncomfortable in order to grow, and people need to be able to opt out in order for opting in to be a safe option.

Yandere Mha x Reader x Yandere Batfam
A/N: So recently i got into yandere batfam x neglected reader. And i like mha x reader. Soo my fav fic of mha x reader is on quotev " Future Keeper" and my fav batfam x neglected reader is " again & again", my brain just mushed them together like.
Our reader was born and raised in japan (reincarnated from modern world) till she was 9 (instead of 5 ), childhood friends with aizawa. Her parents passed and she find out her father was was not her real father. And she is sent to Gontham to Bruce . (read the fic to get a better understanding, link on the names cuz spoiler. ) There she gets neglected and then decides to transfer to UA high ( here UA is a secrate hero school and on surface its a prestigious high school). She sends a direct letter to Nezu about her "Foresight", and asks to be transfared there. She does get in. Meets Aizawa again. Then meets tenko, adopts him. Meets kai, adopts him. Meets touya, takes him in. And finally Keigo.
But Dick shows up when reader or any adult is not home, tenko opens the door, and Dick speaks in english, Tenko calls Kai (who knows english cuz u taught him, on his request) to speak to the stranger (Dick).
Kai knows him ( due to him being extreemly interested in how you have such good etiquette and wanted to learn, you taught him but also opened up about your past, showed him pics of you "family", and warned him if they come make sure to not give them hope about the reconcile between you and them).
Kai followed you order told the other kids to stay in the room and call the adults (detective tsukachi and night eye) aswell as the reader. He makes it very clear that you are not leaving and Dick's presence is unwanted. The adults arrive before you and try to calm the tension between the two but still agreeing with what Kai said. This pisses Dick off and then tells them that they have no right to decide for you. Kai bites back saying neither does Dick have the right.
Just then reader comes busts trough the door panting and sweaty like she ran the whole way back with Aizawa close behind her, Aizawa goes to check up on the other kids while reader starts walking towards Kai but Dick though she was going towards him and opens his hands expecting a hug, but you pass him and go to Kai and hug him and check if he was injured and then tell him to join his siblings, to which he refuses, Saying you are too kind and he has to be there cuz he knows what it does to you emotionally. And kai stayed
Dick asked you to come back toe which you refused saying that you now have a new family. He tries to persuade you, but was cut off by kai saying "emotional blackmailing won't help since he was there". Then you list everything they ( the bat fam) missed. And then ask if he could tell how many awards you won, you'll give them a chance. Dick didn't know and said a random number but Kai corrected him and along with that he also flexed about how much he knows about you .
You refuse and he is kicked out. You thought it was over but it wasn't. Now you were stuck being messaged by random numbers to reconcile. which are blocked by Aizawa and Kai. Due to Aizawa being worried about you, he proposed to exchange phones since all their contacts were same. to which the reader agreed reluctently.
Now probably they got the hint and would leave you alone....... Or you thought
Three weeks later, bat boys along with Bruce and Alfread show up with all your favorite stuff ( which Dick remembers cuz Kai had spoken about it). Since it was Touya who opened the door, he didn't give them a chance and shut the door in their face saying that they'll make reader have an anxiety attack or something bad, then told them to leave. They didn't and since you were on your way back home, you unfortunately bumped into them. Again it was the sme bushit except Damian who you thought had lost his mind since he kept demanding you come back home, to them, and spoil him with more love than you spoil anyone in your so called family cuz he was your one and only real sibling.
You laughed at their faces, called them pathetic and told them your family is here and so is your home. And continued by saying if they love you even a little bit they would leave you and your real family alone.
Leaving heart broken Wayne family outside. Regreting their choices.
But they promised that they would get you back........... No matter what.
And your Japanese family vowed to protect you from them....
A/N: This was a fucked up idea in my head i just had to write it down. PLEASE CHECH OUT THE 2 AMZING FICS, LINK ON THE NAME OF THE FIC IN THE AUTHORS NOTE!!!
Hope You Enjoyed!
P.S. I tried to keep it gn, so all the genders can enjoy, i hope i did fine.

Vengeance Trail
Tumblr media
Paring: Billy the kid x Reader
Word count: 4k
Summary: You and Billy had known each other during your younger years. However, following an argument, you departed to forge your own path, leaving things on bad terms between the two of you. Years later, circumstances led you back, having been recruited to assist John Tunstall. As the war drew nearer, tensions resurfaced between both of you.
Warnings: Slight mature themes nothing too detailed, Billy not knowing how to make up his mind
A/N: So this was supposed to be one long drabble but I got 4k words in and wasn't even half way through so I will now be turing this into a small series.
Tumblr media
Your life hasn’t been easy. For years, you had to fend for yourself, even as a young girl. At such a tender age, loneliness was your constant companion until you met him—Billy McCarty, as you knew him. It all began in Kansas, just days after their arrival. His mother, a kind and gentle soul, his rowdy and energetic brother—these were the first faces you encountered. But Billy stood apart, calm and soft-spoken, especially towards you. Little was known about Billy’s father except for his ailing condition upon their arrival. When he first encountered you, you weren't dressed like the other girls in town. No, clad in a simple, dirty white cotton shirt and brown-stained trousers, mud tainting your braided hair, you were as fiery then as you are now.
Billy swiftly became your closest friend after your initial meeting, and the two of you were inseparable. You stood by him during the loss of his father, just as he stood by you when your parents abandoned you for greener pastures. The McCartys became your surrogate family, and you were willing to sacrifice everything for them. After his father's passing, the McCartys decided to seek new opportunities in Santa Fe, extending an invitation for you to join them.
As your new life unfolded in Santa Fe, you chose to assist Billy's mother at the inn, doing everything in your power to ease her workload. You shielded her from advances made by older men and helped restore order after brawls erupted in the bar. But over time, Kathleen and the others grew distant. She met a man who prompted her to move in with him, taking the boys along, while you remained stuck living at the inn, toiling tirelessly to make ends meet. As you and Billy matured, a shift occurred between you two—a growing chasm that led to that pivotal, fateful night.
Standing in your room, you tucked your shirt into your trousers before slipping on the boots. "Y/N, don't do this. You're not thinking straight," Billy urged, positioned near the door to impede your departure. Rolling your eyes, you tied your hair back with a ribbon, keeping the strands from obscuring your face.
"It doesn't matter, Billy. My decision is final. I can't spend my life here in the inn or aiding you in poker, especially after what happened with Carlos," you retorted, arms crossed, referencing the tragic incident that occurred last time you attempted to help him. "This can't be my life anymore. I have no family, and constantly fending off the advances of older men isn't the future I want."
"You have a family, Y/N. We're your family," Billy insisted, attempting to reason with you, taking a step closer.
"You're not my family, Billy. You ceased being my family when you left me here to work for my bed," you replied firmly, brushing past him to retrieve your gun belt from the nearby chair. If there was one thing you appreciated about Billy, it was his lessons on shooting, and you had become quite proficient.
Billy followed closely, his voice growing desperate as he tried to persuade you. Moving around his brother and acknowledging Kathleen with a nod, you stepped into the night air. "Fine, leave. But where will you go, Y/N? You don't know how to survive out there on your own. You'll end up dead in a ditch, and I can't bear to bury another friend," he implored, quickening his pace to block your movements.
Shaking your head, you reached your horse, a striking brown and white paint, and began fastening your belongings. "I'll figure it out, Billy. I grew up alongside you. I'm confident I can handle myself. But I'm tired of stagnation. What happened to the Billy who dreamt of running away with me, exploring the world? You're not the same friend anymore. I'm happy for you and your mother, but I need to discover who I am, and I hoped you'd support me in that," you murmured, pausing your actions, refusing to meet his gaze.
Waiting for a response that never came, you mounted your horse and rode off into the night, leaving Billy behind, watching you vanish from his life.
---
A few years later, you had earned quite the reputation, becoming one of the most renowned outlaws. To conceal your past, you adopted a new alias, known to many as Sadie Bennet, while others foolishly dubbed you "The Wolf," a title you found entirely absurd but resigned to endure as there was not much you can do besides complain. One of your crew members had rationalized the nickname, claiming it suited you because you tracked your targets before striking, often appearing as a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Seated not far from the bar, your hair cascading down your back, you leisurely sipped on whiskey. "Ms. Bennet, I assure you this deal will benefit you. Your marksmanship is unmatched, and we desperately need your expertise. Mr. Tunstall won't rest until we secure your assistance. While we may not match your previous compensation, he's vowed to collaborate with you to clear your name," the man before you spoke. He appeared relatively young, likely just a few years older than you.
Setting down your glass, you arched a brow, sucking air through your teeth. "Mr. Bowdre, I appreciate the offer, but as I've reiterated, a petty power struggle isn't in my best interest," you stated, adjusting the suspenders chafing against your skin beneath the blue plaid shirt. "If Mr. Tunstall is genuinely in dire need, he should make a personal appeal. His absence leads me to believe otherwise."
Charlie ran his hands over his face, growing increasingly desperate, an almost amusing sight. "He's away on business, Ms. Bennet. That's why he can't request your services in person," he explained, using a word that made it seem as though you were peddling yourself to men, a notion that irked you.
"Very well, I'll consider it. There's not much occupying my time currently. I'll head to Lincoln County in a few days. There, we can convene and discuss details further. I have a few loose ends to tie up here before departing," you announced as you stood. Noticing his instant relaxation upon your agreement made you ponder just how desperate they were for your aid. Retrieving your hat from the table, you brushed it against your brown trousers to rid it of any table dirt before placing it atop your head. Tipping your hat, you offered a faint smile before pivoting on your heel. "I'll see you in a few days, Charlie. Ensure Tunstall is present; it would be nice to meet him after your vivid descriptions," you remarked, striding out of the saloon, unaware that accepting his offer would soon thrust you back into the life of a close friend.
---
As promised, you arrived in Lincoln County a few days following your conversation with Charlie. While making your way toward town, you were intercepted by Charlie himself, evidently waiting for your arrival. "Ms. Bennet, welcome! We were starting to worry that you might have had a change of heart," he greeted you as you turned your horse to face him, a smile gracing your lips.
"Nonsense, Mr. Bowdre. I may be many things, but I always keep my word. I said I'd come, and I intend to follow through," you replied, meeting his contented smile as he guided you toward his house. Though the ride had been somewhat lengthy, the scenery was undeniably picturesque. Looking up, you caught sight of an eagle soaring above, circling twice before disappearing. Closing your eyes, you reminisced about the last time you had seen an eagle. It was just after your departure from Santa Fe, when illness had nearly claimed you. Lying on the ground, an eagle had soared overhead, and you'd tracked its every movement before succumbing to sleep. Days later, you'd awoken in an unfamiliar bed, unsure of your whereabouts.
"Mr. Tunstall will be delighted to meet you. We have a few others more directly involved in our operations. They'll also be present to greet you. Don't be put off; some of them relish being intimidating," Charlie's words interrupted your thoughts, eliciting a soft laugh from you. Shortly after, you arrived at a small ranch, where a woman stood waiting. Radiant and evidently excited to greet the man beside you, you assumed she was Charlie's wife, judging by the ring adorning her finger and her joyful expression upon seeing him.
Dismounting your horse and patting her gently, you followed Charlie toward the house. Taking a deep breath, you entered and glanced around. It was a lovely, well-organized home—neither too crowded nor too sparse. Charlie guided you into the living room, where you paused, noticing a group of men engaged in conversation. Some appeared older than you, while one around your age gazed out the window.
"Mr. Tunstall, gentlemen, I present Sadie Bennet," Charlie announced, prompting the men in the room to straighten, catching their attention. The young man by the window turned towards you, causing your heart to skip a beat. Standing before you was your old friend, Billy McCarty, though markedly different from your last encounter. Life had evidently molded him into a hardened man. His widened eyes and the way he uttered your name revealed his surprise and disbelief at seeing you again.
Tunstall scanned you before removing his hat and extending his hand in greeting. "Ms. Bennet, I've heard a fair amount about you from Charlie, including the challenge it posed in persuading you to assist us," he remarked, his smile softening as you firmly grasped his hand. Indeed, you hadn't been the easiest to recruit, having encountered Charlie multiple times before, his persistent attempts at recruiting you finally wearing you down.
"I apologize, Mr. Tunstall. I wasn't initially certain about joining this endeavor. However, Charlie's persistence eventually led me to agree. I hope my delayed acceptance didn't hinder your plans too significantly," you offered, ignoring Billy's intense gaze as he positioned himself beside you.
"That's quite alright. What matters is your presence now, and your skills will undoubtedly be invaluable. Now, allow me to introduce you to the others," Tunstall said, shifting his focus around the room. "This is George," he gestured to the man on his left, "and you're already acquainted with Charlie." Charlie offered a reassuring smile, leaving only one person to introduce.
"Finally, we have B—" You abruptly interrupted Tunstall, turning to extend your hand.
"William Bonney, it's a pleasure to meet you face to face. You're quite the celebrity; I was concerned about competition for the title of most notorious outlaw," you jested, noticing a subtle change in Billy's expression. Unsure whether it was anger or disappointment, you shrugged it off. Arching your eyebrows, you awaited his response, but as he made no move, you scoffed and turned back to Tunstall. "Well, as famous as he is, he certainly lacks manners," you grumbled, crossing your arms, eliciting a surprised cough from Charlie, who attempted to suppress a laugh.
Billy cleared his throat and shook his head. "I apologize, Ms. Bennet. That wasn't my intention. I was merely surprised to encounter a fan. It's delightful to make your acquaintance. Please forgive my lapse in manners," he said, his gaze fixed on yours.
"Oh, I'm not a fan, Mr. Bonney. Just pleased to meet the most wanted man in several counties," you shrugged, distancing yourself from him. "Mr. Tunstall, can we discuss my involvement privately? I won't commit until we've reached mutual terms," you proposed. Tunstall nodded, dismissing the others, and you shot a lingering glance in Billy's direction. Removing your gun belt and placing it on the table, you settled into a chair. "Tell me the details of my role."
Tunstall positioned himself opposite you, crossing a leg over his knee and folding his hands. "As you're aware, there's a feud between Mr. Murphy and me. He's a power-hungry man, exploiting the land and its people. He indebts them, then employs unsavory means to seize their property. I'm sure you're familiar with his tactics." You nodded, feeling a simmering rage within. "We aim to confront Murphy, reclaim the land, and provide these people with the rightful homes they deserve without enduring such hardships. I require your skills to assist in taking him down. You and Mr. Bonney will offer exactly what's needed to dismantle Murphy's corrupt hold."
As you reclined in your chair, Tunstall's words raced through your mind. This man was willing to fight and die for a cause—bringing a better life to Lincoln County—and he sought your aid above all. "Alright, let's assume I agree to assist you. What assurances can you provide? I'm not interested in money; I seek something more secure and dependable," you challenged, noticing Tunstall's surprise, though it didn't shock him, especially given your reputation.
"I can offer you an opportunity to clear your name. As far as I'm aware, you're wanted across at least four counties, three of which have bounties on your head. However, by assisting me and transitioning away from the outlaw life, I can advocate for you. I'll speak to judges, emphasizing your change of heart and commendable actions, working to eradicate those bounties against you," Tunstall proposed. The offer held undeniable appeal. Clearing your name from charges that weren't your doing in the first place seemed like a tempting prospect.
Nodding, you contemplated the offer more deeply. "Very well, I accept these terms. I'll collaborate with you to take down Murphy and assist in your objectives. But it's crucial that you uphold your end of the deal, Mr. Tunstall," you affirmed, running your fingers through your hair. "Now, could you tell me further about William Bonney?" Tunstall's eyes brightened as he eagerly briefed you on what he knew about your former friend.
---
That evening, you lay outside, your coat serving as a makeshift pillow while your gaze remained fixed on the stars. A gentle cool breeze kissed your cheek and nose, while the nearby fire crackled softly. Your eyes flickered open as the sound of footsteps approached, halting beside you as a figure settled down. "I didn't expect to see you roped into all of this," Billy spoke softly. "Honestly, I thought you were gone for good until I spotted your wanted posters everywhere. Who would've guessed you'd dig a deeper hole than mine, but I suppose stubbornness runs in your veins, so that's no surprise," he said, glancing down at you.
Sitting up, you drew your knees to your chest and released a sigh. "What do you want, Billy?" you asked, pressing your lips together tightly. "Don't expect anything from this. I'm here solely to clear my name, not to mend something that shattered a long time ago," you added, redirecting your gaze back to the starlit sky. Billy sighed and fiddled with his fingers, uncertain of his next words.
"I tried to find you. After my mother passed away, and I was falsely accused of a crime, I searched for you. I assumed you'd moved on to another town or two, but you were nowhere to be found. Then I kept hearing about this remarkable woman named Sadie Bennet—how impressive she was, especially for a female outlaw. It wasn't until I saw your wanted poster that I knew it was you. Part of me felt relieved, but another part wanted to keep searching," Billy confessed, joining you in gazing skyward.
"I wasn't far when Kathleen passed. I'm sorry for your loss; she was a remarkable woman," you began, "I knew you were alright, still alive, as people talked about you often. Imagine my surprise when they accused you of murder. I couldn't believe it because you were always about settling disputes, not escalating them to violence. No matter how much I might have disliked you, I couldn't believe those allegations," your words struck a chord, leaving him silent.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," he uttered quietly. "I took advantage of your presence, assuming you'd always be there for me, even when I distanced myself. You were a constant in my life, and I took that for granted. Life turned into hell after you left, and realizing my mistake hit hard when I didn't have you to turn to anymore. Joe was furious with me for weeks; he blamed me, rightfully so."
"Don't blame yourself, Billy. I left because I needed more than the life we had. Our rift was just one part of why I left; it's not solely on you," you said, meeting his gaze filled with sorrow. Wanting to comfort him, you hesitated but then pulled him into a hug, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Stop looking so forlorn, Billy. You're not alone; there are people who care."
Billy wrapped an arm around you, burying his face in your neck, breathing in your scent. "The reason I regretted it so much was because I was in love with you. You meant everything to me, and you showed me what it felt like to be truly wanted," he whispered softly, tightening his embrace. You remained silent, uncertain of how to respond to his confession. When you attempted to pull away, he shook his head, drawing you closer. "Please, just listen. I was so deeply in love with you that my mother was helping me gather the courage to confess my feelings. But then you vanished, leaving me with unspoken words and a heap of regrets."
"Billy," you murmured, pulling back slightly to meet his gaze. "You carry so many burdens and regrets. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. You didn't deserve to feel alone, and I regret leaving you in that state. I had feelings for you too, but when you distanced yourself, I took it as a sign and fled like a coward," you confessed, feeling his hands cupping your cheeks, his thumb caressing your skin. Lost in each other's eyes, he leaned in, pressing his lips against yours.
His lips felt weathered against yours, yet the kiss conveyed volumes of unspoken emotions, making you disregard any roughness. Your fingers entwined in his hair, gently tugging on his brown locks, and a subdued moan escaped as he pulled you into his lap. Breaking the kiss, Billy placed a tender one along your jawline before meeting your eyes. "Let's head inside. It's getting late," he murmured, guiding you along. Pausing just outside the spare room, he kissed you again before ushering you inside, where the evening was spent memorizing each other's bodies and sharing quiet confessions.
---
The next morning, the sun peeked through the curtains, casting a soft golden hue across the room. Stretching your arms, a smile naturally spread across your lips. For once, you felt truly rested, and the usual ache in your back was noticeably absent. Sensing movement behind you, you felt an arm around your waist draw you closer. Memories of the previous night flooded your mind, and you suppressed a smile as you turned in bed to meet Billy's bright blue eyes. "Good morning," you whispered, gently cupping his cheek.
His lips curved into a sleepy smile as he tried to shake off the remnants of sleep. "Good morning," he mumbled back, leaning in to plant a tender kiss on your lips. Pulling away, he nestled his head on your shoulder, his arm holding you tighter. "Do you think we should come clean about knowing each other?"
Running your fingers through your hair, you pondered his question. "I'd say we might have to. There's hardly any believable excuse, especially after last night," you chuckled, placing kisses along his jawline. "But we should probably get up and start our day," you sighed, only to squeal as he playfully rolled on top of you, tickling your sides and eliciting high-pitched laughter.
After some playful moments and shared affection, Billy rolled off and got up, heading to the small bathroom. Lying on your stomach, you observed him dressing and attempting to tame his tousled hair. Catching his gaze, you noticed a flicker of something before he grabbed a black shirt from the wardrobe. Handing it to you, he sat on the bed, tracing his fingers over your exposed back. "I'll head downstairs while you get ready. I'll try to hold them off until you're ready to face the grilling," he said with a playful eye-roll, making you stifle laughter in the pillows.
Eventually, you sat up and planted a lingering kiss on his lips. "I'll see you downstairs, cowboy. Don't let them chew you up," you teased, rolling out of bed. As you started dressing, you ran a brush through your hair, noticing the red marks on your neck and collarbone. Groaning, you tilted your head back, silently blaming Billy. Once dressed, you made your way downstairs, overhearing hushed whispers. Some sounded teasing, while others seemed more disgruntled, likely discussing you and Billy. Walking into the room, you stood behind Billy, resting your hands on his shoulders. "Good morning, gentlemen. How was your night's rest?" you greeted them with a wide smile that faded as Billy distanced himself from your touch.
Charlie greeted you with a small welcoming smile while Tunstall settled into the chair at the table. Positioning yourself next to Billy, you observed him, puzzled by his sudden shift in emotions. "Sadie, or should I say Y/N, what exactly is your relationship with Billy?" he asked. Part of you hesitated, uncertain of what to say, as his expression demanded nothing but the truth. Before you could respond, Billy interjected.
"There's no relationship. Last night, we both had a bit to drink which led to events that should have never happened. I want to apologize for our actions. We have more important things going on, and we should have been more careful." His words hit you hard, and your face contorted into a mix of horror and shock. It was a mistake—this whole situation. Just moments ago, he appeared content waking up beside you, but now you felt reduced to a mere error. Clenching your hands into fists on your thighs, you bit the inside of your cheek to restrain any comments on the brink of escaping.
"Billy is right, Mr. Tunstall. We both got carried away, and I'll ensure it never happens again. I allowed myself to become too vulnerable around someone, and I shouldn't have." You managed to force the words out, your voice strained. "Now, if you boys excuse me, I need to tend to my horse and maybe explore the town to familiarize myself with the area," you grumbled, rising abruptly and causing the chair to scrape against the floor.
Charlie stood up swiftly. "I'll join you. Perhaps I can give you an overview of the town and how everything operates." You nodded at Charlie and left the kitchen, purposefully avoiding looking in Billy's direction. Charlie followed closely, slowing his pace as you reached the horses.
"What truly happened between you and Billy? Anyone who can read a room can tell that you're more than just a drunken mistake. So, what are you to him?" Charlie inquired as he mounted his horse.
Swinging yourself onto your horse, you shrugged. "I thought I meant something to him, but I should've known better than to believe his words. I apologize if things were awkward this morning, Charlie. That wasn't my intention at all." You offered him an apologetic smile as he joined you on horseback. A part of you wanted to cry and vent your frustration after Billy's sudden indifference. You had opened up to him and comforted him, only to be discarded once again. Last night felt too perfect to be true, but it hurt to realize that you had exposed yourself only to be hurt in the end.
Charlie shook his head and regarded you as the two of you began riding towards town. "You don't need to apologize, Y/N. Sometimes people change, and sometimes they change in a matter of minutes. All you can do is look ahead and move on. You're a wonderful and kind young lady. Billy just doesn't know what he's doing," Charlie consoled. Part of you felt weak for letting Charlie comfort you, but his words resonated and lingered in your mind. He was right. You couldn't let this consume you. All you could do was fulfill your duties and keep moving forward.

About Chaos Terran AU Transmutate
Tumblr media
Transmutate was the last Chaos Terran to be born, and their birth was quite unexpected. Instead of Starscream succeeding in S02E09, a shard was knocked out of his hands and fell into a very convenient pool of water before Spitfire could piece them together. Starscream immediately tries to abort (?) the Terran in formation with the Cyber Slayer. The action shocked Spitfire. She acted before thinking and knocked the weapon away.
The new Chaos Terran survived but their generation was interrupted, causing them to be half-formed, both mentally and physically. They have a skeletal appearance with a hollow abdomen (indicating the lack of a T-cog), their limbs all messed up. They don't have a sense of identity, meaning no name, no gender, and no language. Their frame is too weak to hold the chaos energy it generates which caused them to immediately scream out a huge blast of chaos energy, and the Autobots took the chance to collect some of the shards and escape. The Malto Terrans were very concerned with the safety of the new Terran but were urged to escape quickly.
Starscream called the new Terran a transmutate and the name sticked (I might change this if I ever come up with a better origin). He didn't try to kill them, not wanting to raise further suspicion from the Chaos Terrans as well as wanting to exploit their chaos energy scream in the future.
The world is a really confusing place for Transmutate! It took them a while to realize those who don't share a psychic link with them are also sentient beings, that these bots and organic creatures are different from objects and have their own thoughts and act under a certain logic that is for some reason invisible to them. Transmutate ends up being very good at interpreting their siblings' emotions and thoughts though the link, as well as express themself through it.
Spitfire felt really torn about them. She wished she had either acted quicker before Starscream could have stroked them with the Cyber Slayer, or acted later because she thought death would be better than ending up like this. She was heavily manipulated by Starscream and wanted his approval, but didn't know how to feel about him trying to kill a Chaos Terran. Overall she was very protective of them though she didn't know how to care for them.
Transmutate's birth would somehow help Sideways realize chaos energy's connection to Unicron. Transmutate is the only Chaos Terran who's able to release chaos energy though it's involuntary, so it gave him samples to study. Sideways wasn't a good big brother at all and would intentionally trigger them to collect chaos energy.
Wreck-gar was probably the only being in this world who felt completely positive about Transmutate. She was simply happy to become a big sister and immediately assumed the role. Transmutate's messed up limbs made walking a struggle so Wreck-gar usually carried them in her backpack.
I think the Maltos, especially Twitch and Nightshade, would try very hard to approach the duo, but it was hard to persuade them to willingly stay at the Maltos. The two were friendly and were happy to visit but would always return to their siblings. Transmutate grew an interest in flying due to the two flying Maltos though, and Wreck-gar built them a jetpack.
Thoughts on their future
Eventually Starscream would collect all the shards and start killing the Chaos Terrans, I haven't thought the whole thing through but here are some thoughts:
Spitfire and Aftermath stayed to fight while ordering Wreck-gar to leave with Transmutate.
The Decepticons were more involved with Starscream's plan in this AU, but some grew attached to the kids and allowed the duo to escape.
Wreck-gar decided to return when she felt Aftermath dying. The Maltos arrived and split up - Nightshade was responsible for taking Transmutate away and the rest went to rescue the other Chaos Terrans with Wreck-gar.
Hashtag and Wreck-gar would eventually reach Starscream, join force with Spitfire, have a cool fight, but eventually be over-powered. Starscream would spare Hashtag's life and maybe give her an invitation to join him, which only left Hashtag with severe survivor guilt.
Sensing Spitfire and Wreck-gar's deaths, Transmutate was devastated and could no longer keep the chaos energy within them under control. Feeling about to explode they decided to focus their energy outburst on the one responsible for their siblings' death. The concentrated energy created a very unstable chaos dome (similar to the one they made in BW), which trapped all the Decepticons and the rising Chaos Titan.
The Maltos managed to escape the shield in time.
Instead of watching them explode, Nightshade remembered that Terrans and Chaos Terrans can sync and hopped in to help. The rest of the Terrans joined as well. Their combined form was able to stabilize both Transmutate and the chaos dome, making it a chaos-quintus dome.
Transmutate wasn't that happy about surviving though. They were still mostly nonverbal at this point and their siblings were literally the world to them. For a good while they would refuse to go with the Maltos and just wander outside the dome wanting to get in to the side of their siblings. But the dome wouldn't be so easy to open in this AU.
Eventually they would start living with the Maltos. Initially they might abuse syncing as a replacement for psychic link communication but would eventually learn to communicate with English - maybe picture cards at first, then reading and typing, eventually speaking?
Nightshade would be very enthusiastic about building them assistive tech. Dot would supervise them to make sure they don't make something like a shooting leg again and teach Transmutate to use them. She's also quite insistent that Transmutate fly with a helmet (which gives Transmutate a chance to look not bald but just like any normal person they refuse to wear the helmet when not flying).
Eventually Transmutate would have an upgraded jetpack and a pair of crutches attached their forearms that can transform into jets and arm blades. They usually only wear the multifunctional crutches. They would also repaint themself into their classic colors ^ ^
Transmutate would still want to go back inside the dome, not wanting their siblings bodies to be trapped with the ones who murdered them. And the wish grew stronger as they learned more about Cybertronian biology and realized that there were hope to revive their siblings. Nightshade would very much support the idea and the two would research on it together, but I need to think more on the attitudes of the other Maltos.
It would feel really weird when the Chaos Terrans (excluding Sideways who were somewhere in some other universe doing child labor for Unicron) were revived. By that time Transmutate would have lived longer than their older siblings. Spitfire and Aftermath would refuse to live with the Maltos and move into the previous Decepticon base, and Transmutate would go with them. They regard both the Maltos and the Chaos Terrans as family and would try to bring them together, or at least urge their older siblings to think about who they want to be now that the Decepticons are gone.
Transmutate wouldn't assume the Maltos' surname though, and wouldn't wear a Terran badge. At some point they may reconsider the name and gender they were assigned with, only to realize they feel quite apathetic about it. (So technically they are okay with all pronouns including it/its but most of the character would just continue using they/them.)
I'm still weighing whether to add Rampage to this AU or not. There are already too many characters. But if I do bring him in - he would be a result of Quintesson experiment and meet Transmutate when the latter got abducted by the Quitessons for some reason. I don't want this AU to be an exception if the two are having a "do you think we are friends in every universe" conversation somewhere else lmao.

I have a big story to tell. My past is long and changed significantly once I arrived on Pandora as a marine soldier.
I was originally meant to work under the command of Colonel Quaritch but when Jake Sully arrived, I was given the task to help him get used to Pandora. I had my own Avatar already. Before Jake came, I would provide protection for Grace and her team every time we went into the forest to get samples of new botanical species. Lyle would often join us, but he didn’t have an Avatar.
The day Jake got lost was the same day I left at night to go find him. He was my assignment and I would be screwed if I didn’t find him alive. So while wandering the forest alone, obviously fully armed with guns and knives, I encountered real Na’vi. They were on horseback and brought me to Hometree, to decide whether to execute me. It surprised me because I expected to be dead on the spot but then luckily Jake said he knew me and persuaded Neytiri to persuade her parents not to have me executed.
I was young at that point in life. But time went by quickly.
Once problems started to rise I had to make a decision and I chose to turn on my own kind and help Jake save Pandora.
I fought by his side and we won the battle. But at the time, we didn’t know it would only be the first of many.
Just like Jake, the clan and Eywa transferred my consciousness from my human body to my Na’vi Avatar.
Now, Jake and I were close friends. I was the aunt to his and Neytiri’s kids and we recently left the forest because the Sky People were back. We travelled to the coastlines and were accepted into a new clan.
Now, the fight had been going on for a while and Jake was badly injured. Neytiri had retrieved him on her Ikran and flown him to safety because she knew that Quaritch was going after him. Quaritch was hunting Jake Sully, and me, Y/N L/N.
I rode next to Ronal and Tonowari on my ilu to free Lo’ak, Tuk, and Tsireya. We stopped and I raised my sniper gun, checking to see whether it was safe to shoot one of the other recom’s from here. Suddenly, I heard Quaritch.
“Y/N, tell your friends to stand down.” he says with a pause. I gasp and I feel my heart sink. He has the kids cuffed and at gunpoint. Half of me wants to go there with the warriors behind me and kill every single soldier, but I know better than to act on emotions. I’m afraid of what will happen if I don’t listen…
“You want your kids back?” he asks, knowing the damn answer. “Come out alone.” Quaritch orders. I tense, my ears tipped back. Of course, just like I remembered him. Nothing seemed to change about the Colonel other than his body. I noticed Z-Dog and Lyle on either side of him. I knew they all despised me. But I used to have quite a close relationship with Zdinarsk and Lyle and I were friendly. I guess that gave them more of a reason to hate me. That I chose this planet over everything I had with them.
“You know better than to test my result.” the Colonel warns, pointing his gun at the back of Lo’ak’s head. My heart is racing.
I snarl, cursing myself and putting my sniper gun down, knowing it won’t help me now. He kept on talking.
“I took you under my wing, Y/N. You betrayed me. You killed your own good men, good women. I will not hesitate to execute your kid.” the Colonel snarls.
I lean my hand in front of me, taking deep breaths to think about my next move. I know I need to listen to him.
I glanced at Ronal and Tonorwari who were both furious about the recoms taking Tsireya. Then I looked behind me and scanned all the warriors who had joined us. We were enough people to take down the ship, but we couldn’t endanger the kids’ lives.
My ears droop to the sides and I let my head hang before telling Ronal and Tonowari to stay here and keep the clan away.
Tonwori warns me that they are killers of Tulkun and that they need to die here and today. I nod, agreeing with him.
“They came here for me… for me and Jake. That’s what this whole thing is about…” I tell them and Ronal snarls in general anger and frustration.
“You brought this upon us! You!” she says in a harsh tone and I flinch a little, but I completely understand her anger.
“Then it’s me who has to do this…” I say and Tonowari gives me a firm nod before signalling to his warriors to stand down. I take a deep breath, looking back at the ship.
“Offer’s fixin’ to expire…” Quaritch warns me. “What’s it gonna be?”
My worried gaze turns into a glare. “Check your fire. I’m coming out.” I say, moving my gun back around my shoulder and moving forwards on my ilu.
Neytiri is circling the sky on her Ikran, watching the scene play out. She presses her neck and asks me what’s happening.
I sigh, feeling my gut wrench and stomach drop. Honestly, I feel a little sick. But I can’t tell her what I’m doing. I don’t have the heart to tell Neytiri. She helped me so much in the past years, I owed it to her to give my life for her children.
My ilu and I leave the warriors behind us and we dive under the water's surface.
I see one of the Tulkun nearby and it seems to acknowledge me. It was the outsider. The one that Lo’ak had befriended. I believed his story and he showed me the bond they had. I disconnected my queue from my beloved ilu, patting its neck as a goodbye before swimming towards the Tulkun.
If they want me to come to them I might as well make my entrance impressive.
The Tulkun lets me close to it and I hold on to its fin as he pulls me through the water. I look behind me to see the bottom of the clan’s animals and my loyal ilu waiting for me to return. It breaks my heart, leaving it behind, but it was the right thing to do.
We neared the ship and I moved on to the Tulkun’s back, and hold on to one of the horn-like shapes it has on its head. It swims up to the water's surface and soon, we slowly glide out of the water and in front of the ship.
Immediately everyone onboard shuffles around and all weapons are pointed at me. I stay, kneeling on its back as it brings me to the side so I can comfortably step on board. I glide my hand over its skin and thank the Tulkun before standing upright and for the first time, I set foot onto the ship.
I locked eyes with the Colonel, examining him and his team. Their guns remained pointed at me and followed my steps. I stopped, standing in front of them with nothing in my hands. The water was dripping from my body and hair, creating small puddles beneath my feet.
I shifted my gaze to the kids. They all looked worried but Tsireya and Tuk seemed a little relieved that an adult on their side was with them. On the other hand, Lo’ak looked upset. I saw him shaking his head at me before, he must not want me to give up my life. But I owe it to all of them. I owe it to Jake for helping me escape, I owe it to Neytiri for taking care of me, to the kids who have always been so lovely over the years and to Eywa. I saved Ewya once, but I also brought this upon her. I needed to make it right.
Quaritch firmly nodded, pressing his lips into a straight line and turning to face me while still pointing his gun at Lo’ak. That angered me.
“Slowly remove your weapon.” he ordered me and my ears tipped back, showing him clear signs of discomfort. I was about to rid my protection.
I listened, slowly pulling the strap over my head and arm, holding my gun in my hand before gently throwing it to the side.
A recom soldier kicked it out of my reach and I glared at him before looking back at Miles.
“Let them go.” I snarled and he glared back. With some hesitation, he lowered his weapon and signalled something to his soldiers. To my relief, they started opening the handcuffs of the children but still held them by the arms.
I stood firmly on the ground, my tail flicking around in irritation. I felt protective over them. They needed to return to Neytiri safe and unharmed.
“Let ‘em go.” The Colonel ordered, harshly pushing Lo’ak away from himself and towards me. Lo’ak glanced around and grabbed Tsireya’s hand before warily walking to me. Tuk couldn’t wait anymore. She was terrified of the soldiers so she sprinted to me and hugged my lower waist, hiding her face in my hip. I leaned down, cradling her body and holding her close to me. My hand stroked her head to try and comfort her in any way possible.
“Shh Tuk. It’s all okay now. You can go home.” I say in a soft voice, forgetting about all the danger around us for a second. Lo’ak comes around my other side and hugs me too. I hold them all for a few seconds as if we were one family and when Tuk lifts her head, I wipe her tears.
“Don’t cry Tuk. You are safe now.” I force a smile and press her forehead to mine. That was something that always helped calm her down when she was a baby. It seemed to still work.
In the next few seconds, I heard the cry of an Ikran and the flap of its wings behind me. I looked up and all soldiers had changed their aim from me to something behind me.
I just smiled in relief, knowing who it was.
I turned around and Neytiri had gotten off her Ikran and stood behind me, but luckily she wasn’t pointing weapons at the enemy.
“Don’t shoot.” I shout, wanting them to know she was here for her children.
Tuk gasped and ran to her mother and Lo’ak quickly joined her. Tsireya followed Lo’ak.
I want to walk to Neytiri too but I hear a shout behind me.
“You take one more step Y/L/N and I open fire.” The Colonel warns. “You’re stayin’ here.”
I freeze in my step and look over my shoulder to let him know I heard him before turning back to Neytiri. She had put Tuk on her Ikran already and Lo’ak and Tsireya got onto the Tulkun that brought me here.
Neytiri and I exchanged eye contact and as much as she hated that I was part of the reason this was happening, her gaze softened. She knew what I was doing and it saddened her. She also took to heart that I put her children's lives over my own and gave me a sad smile.
“I thank you Y/N…” she said in Na’vi.
I nod, smiling and bowing my head a little.
“You proved yourself to the Great Mother. It will not be forgotten.”
Her words make me feel proud and I thank her. She walks over to me, in slow strides, her eyes not leaving mine. Now I could see how saddened she was.
Her eyes are just as teared up as mine are.
She pressed her own forehead against mine and thanked me again, for helping her children. Then, she returned to her Ikran, looking at me one last time before taking off. Lo’ak and Tsierya were ordered by her to go, and I waved at Lo’ak slowly. He returned the gesture, also visibly sad and they dived under the water.
I stared at the open ocean for a few moments before taking a deep breath and turning back to face the Colonel.
I couldn’t read his expression but it had changed. Maybe seeing me with children had some kind of impact on him. After all, I knew he more or less thought of himself as Spider’s dad.
Then he signalled something and most weapons were put down. I heard a few chuckles from the soldiers around me who had now encircled me and blocked my exit. They were recoms. The humans didn’t dare get so close. I hiss at one that’s too close for my liking but he just smirks, not moving back.
“This is going to be fun.” the Colonel says, evilly smirking at me before turning around and leading the way. Almost instantly, a gun is pointed at my head and I am pushed forward, being told to follow him.
I let out a shaky breath but oblige. At least I wasn’t being held down.
We entered a large hall which looked like an empty car storage area inside the ship. There was a light in the middle of the ceiling that didn’t reach the dark corners. I sigh. This was probably the last room I was going to see in my life.
I knew whatever they had planned wasn’t going to go well for me. Then again, I was surprised I was still alive now. Maybe they wanted me for questioning first.
I heard a few footsteps behind me stop walking and then I heard a voice sternly say, “No humans allowed.”.
There was complaining coming from the humans on board and then the large doors started automatically closing.
All daylight was now gone and everything seemed dimmer. I was urged to walk to the centre of the room so that I more or less stood beneath the light.
The soldiers stopped around me, creating a type of wide circle to make sure I couldn’t escape. I assumed the doors were all locked anyway, so I wouldn’t test my luck.
“Zdinarsk, Warren, go to the deck and help Walker and Zhang.” the Colonel said and they nodded before walking off. I watched Zdinarsk and our eyes met but she left anyway without saying a word. I wasn’t surprised.
I slowly turn around, scanning everyone. Just to see what I was dealing with. Most of them looked the same, everyone wearing similar attire but something small would always differentiate them.
Surrounding Y/N stood Prager, Mansk, Fike, Ja(Alexander), Brown, Lopez, Wainfleet, and the Colonel. Their weapons were no longer pointed at her but they still held them firmly, in case she were to try something.
“I’m going to ask you a few questions and you will answer them.” the Colonel says, stepping forward a little and resting his hands on his vest. I turn to face him and glare again.
What makes him think I’m going to willingly snitch on my family?
“If you refuse, then you won’t look as pretty by the time we’re done.” Quaritch adds, and a bald soldier and a soldier wearing his cap backwards flash metal rods and another soldier cracks his knuckles behind me. I’ve seen them use those on other clans. They shock and electrocute them.
I recognize Lyle and Brown.
I frown at his words. He would always somehow manage to catch me off guard.
When I look back at him, he takes it as an answer to my understanding of the terms and conditions.
“How does it feel to betray your own kind, Y/N? Your own people.” he snarls and I scoff. As long as I answer I should be fine. What I say is up to me.
“Great.” I reply, staring him dead in the eye. He raises an eyebrow before nodding at Lyle. He steps forward and I feel a cold metal come in contact with my thigh before my whole body is tensed and I flinch at the shock waves running through me.
I yelp and quickly step away from him, my hand covering where he electrocuted me. I stared at him in shock. He didn’t even hesitate. After years of us knowing each other and that man mindlessly hurt me.
“Ah! Fuck- ‘in hell…You idiot- I answered the question!” I swear, not understanding why he did that.
My reaction amused the soldiers.
“Doesn’t seem to be going that well for you.” Quaritch teases and I look back at him, my eyes furious. God, I hated him. A few men chuckle and I twirl my tail around my leg. Being in the spotlight like this made me uncomfortable.
“Who’s here with you that we know?” the Colonel asks and my ears flick away a drop of water that fell from my hair.
I hesitate, not wanting to expose them. But then again, it wasn’t such a secret since they were watching the others leave Pandora after we had won. I hear the shock rod go off close to me as a warning and I jumped before opening my mouth to say something.
“Most of the science team…” I say, a bit quieter now. He doesn’t say anything and just keeps looking at me. I take it as a hint to elaborate.
“Dr. Norm Spellman, Max Patel, John, Lily, …”
“What about Augustine?” Quaritch asks and my frown turns into a blank expression. I stare at him in slight disbelief, trying to find out whether he was serious or not.
My silence seems to make him uncomfortable. So he signals his soldier to shock me but I answer before he can.
“You killed Grace…” I snarl at him, the memory paining me. He doesn’t seem upset but he definitely wasn’t expecting to hear that.
“You shot her… in her stomach.”
He looked away, not saying anything.
“But the Great Mother accepted her. Her soul is with Eywa now.” I softly say. He looks back. I can tell not a single person in this room still fully understood the power of Eywa.
“Grace helped Pandora, unlike you. Eywa will have no mercy on you.”
After what was probably a minute of silence, he continued questioning me.
“Where’s Sully?” he asks. I decide to irritate him just a little more.
“Which one?” I reply, smirking. I knew I wouldn’t get shocked because I answered and played it off as an innocent question.
His ears tipped back and he caught on to my attitude.
“Answer.” Quaritch demanded.
“I don’t know.” I say and suddenly I feel the same pain and shock shoot through my body. But this time, it comes from my hip.
I whine, bending forward and resting one arm on my knee while I regain my breath. I throw Brown a dirty look before returning my gaze to Quaritch.
“He’s injured. I don’t know where they took him. He could be anywhere.”
“I feel like you would know where.” the Colonel replies, taking an intimidating step forward. I stand my ground.
“No.” I simply say and suddenly I feel both rods on my ribs and shock waves hit me again. My knees give out and I’m kneeling on the floor, one arm hugging my waist while the other holds me up.
Quaritch stares me down before sighing and shaking his head.
“You know Y/N, I used to think of you as my best soldier.” he says and my ears perk up.
“You were everything you needed to be. I was hoping you’d become Colonel one day too.”
He was playing mind games with me. I wasn’t going to fall for it. I got off my knees and stood in front of him again.
“I don’t know why you decided to run off with Sully. But I can see it changed you.” he locks eyes with me again and he looks angry.
“I didn’t think it would be possible, but turns out you really did become Na’vi, huh?” he continues, almost mocking me.
“You live with them, talk like them…Hell, look at you. Ya even dress like ‘em.” he growls and I look down at my body. I wore typical female Na’vi clothing. A top which I used to think barely covered my chest and a loincloth.
I heard some shuffling around me and then Quaritch smirked.
“Definitely not complainin’.”
The soldiers around me chuckle darkly. I used to be one of them and now they think they can treat me like a minority.
That’s it. He crossed the line. I know exactly what that meant and it was completely unnecessary.
“Asshole.” I snarl and his eyes widen at my comment.
“I see you kept your spirit at least.” he grins. “Guess it won’t be as easy to break ya.”
I huff and he watches me for a while before asking away again.
“Who do you have the kids with? Sully?” he asks and I look at him confused. Did he not know they were Jake’s and Neytiri’s?
“What kids?” I ask and Lyle takes a step forward but I move out of his way when he tries to touch me with the metal stick again.
“They aren’t mine.”
“I’m meant to believe that?” he asks me and scoffs. I’m getting really frustrated here.
“They’re Neytiri’s… and Jake’s.” I say, knowing they are safe so it won’t matter if I tell them.
“You don’t have kids? Ya didn’t settle down like Sully?” he asks and I glare at him again. But I know I have to answer so I shake my head ‘no’.
“Why’d ya give yourself up for them then?” he asks, genuinely.
“Because they don’t deserve to die. They saw me as one of them.” I coldly replied, still angry about how they were treated. “I on the other hand came here with the intention to kill for our kind. People like that don’t deserve a good life.”
A few moments of silence.
Quaritch claps his hands together and smirks. “Well then, that’ll just make this even better.”
I stare at him trying to figure out what he means but I snap out of it when I see Lyle move out of the corner of my eye and I move away again. He huffs out in annoyance.
“Cut it out, I swear to god.” I say, having enough of this bullshit. But Lyle and Brown both attempt to shock me again this time. I turn around, facing them now and hiss. It just seems to annoy Lyle even more and the next time he tries to hit me with the rod I lose it.
“That’s it, you fuckin-” I start swearing, grabbing the rod where he’s holding it and kneeing him in the stomach. He lets go, groaning and bending forwards. I immediately upper-punch him in the face and he stumbles back. Behind me, Brown attempts to restrain my arms but I elbow him in the chest, knocking the air out of him and he lets go, taking a few steps back.
I want to turn around to face Quaritch but now Prager and Ja have dropped their weapons and run forward to try to contain me.
They seemed to forget that I used to be a marine too.
Prager wraps his arms around my waist, holding my arms down. I kick myself off the ground in a launch-mode position and then kick Ja in the face, sending him to the ground. When I land on my feet, I lean down, keeping the motion and Prager is more or less thrown over me.
He lets go and then I see Lyle standing and coming for me again. I just throw myself on him and tackle him to the ground. Lyle manages to hit me in the face but it doesn’t phase me. He rolls us over and tries pinning my arms down but I knee him between the legs and he gives out much easier than expected.
I roll him around and am now straddling his waist, delivering punch after punch to his face.
Before I know it, someone grabs both my arms and my braid, pulling me off of Lyle and hurling me to my feet. I struggle and try to set myself free from their grip but I can’t. I’m held tightly in place and pulled against this soldier's body, with my back pressing against his chest. The tight grip on my braid pains me.
I look up and notice it's Mansk. He removed his glasses and looked pissed off. That was unlike him. Rarely things got to him, he would usually have a neutral stern face with occasional smiles.
This was new. But maybe, I was the problem. Not like I cared if I annoyed him. Nothing could compare to the hell these meathead idiots put me through.
Lyle and Brown are helped up and all eyes are back on me. My chest is heaving slightly more than before and I feel the blood running down from my nose.
Quaritch doesn’t even seem angry. He actually looks impressed. The soldiers that didn’t join like Fike and Lopez are waiting for orders and seem to be expecting a horrible reaction from the Colonel. The soldiers that I did hit on the other hand… those fuckers are out for blood. I mean every single one of them looks at me like they want to kill me. Lyle included. The once goofy dumbass I would work with has his eyes filled with fury.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this is how I go down. This could very well be how I die.
“What? Did you forget I used to be like you?” I snicker, not being able to hold back a small grin. I took down most of them. I was impressed with myself. Damn. Jake would be impressed too.
Quaritch smirked. I amused him. “Don’t think you’re gettin’ the princess treatment now.” he said. I wasn’t expecting it. Usually, fighting others in combat would earn someone more respect. That didn’t work in this case.
“Anyway…” Quaritch started again, starting to slowly walk around Mansk and me while the other soldiers watched him. As if they were waiting for permission to kill me and finish me off. “Since you’re ours now and we can do with you as we please…”
My eyes shoot to him and my ears perk up. His words confuse me but they have caught my attention.
“And you’re Na’vi now so you understand your body… you can help us out.” Quaritch states, stopping and facing me again. His hands are still holding onto the top of his vest.
My ears tip back when I hear him ask for my help. The last thing I would do is willingly help them. He scoffs at my reaction and Mansk rearranges his grip on my body, making sure to keep it tight.
“We noticed we get, frustrated, more easily…” Quaritch spoke, pretending as if it were nothing. “And you just happened to trigger that reaction again.”
I huff, glaring at him again. My body tenses and I try to push myself away from Mansk who just tugs me back into him.
“How do we contain or… solve that problem, Y/N?” Quaritch asks, taking a step towards me. His tall and built form is almost towering over my slightly smaller frame. I was never small but I never reached their height either.
My eyes widen and I gulp. Surely he doesn’t mean what I think he does. If they are going through their heat, or rut actually, then only finding a mate and forming tsaheylu can solve that as far as I know. And if that is the case here, I need to leave right now. The last thing I need is to be spiritually connected to these monsters through Eywa. She would probably banish me along with them.
He takes note of my reaction. “I can tell that you know the answer. Why don’t you open your pretty lil’ mouth and share it with us?” Quaritch mocks me and I notice how it spikes everyone's interest. It makes me feel more nervous than angry, to be honest. Nervous and even a little frightened because I don’t know what is to come.
I myself was nearing my heat cycle, so my pheromones could be stronger but I shouldn’t be due for the next week or two at least. I wasn’t feeling the symptoms either so I should be fine.
“No? You want to keep it to yourself? Alright then. Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance, sweetheart.” He says, turning away and walking to a chair. He picks it up, bringing it to the circle and sitting on it the wrong way.
“There’s one rule, squad. You listen to everything I say. If you don’t, you’re out and I’ll deal with you personally.” Quaritch threatened, scanning over his unit. A few soldiers nod while others just look between him and me.
I notice Mansk has tightened his grip on me and is almost hugging me from behind. If you could call his tight, bruising grip a hug.
“Understood?” Quaritch asks, wanting to make himself clear. Everyone responds with ‘yes sir.’ and the Colonel nods.
“Alright then. Deal with her.” he snarls and I hear a few dark chuckles and growls around the room. They seemed to know what to do while I was confused.
Mansk grins behind me and harshly pushes me forwards, almost making me stumble. I yelp and stop before I can get closer to the other soldiers but some of them are already making their way to me, their grins and smirks making me feel small. Almost instantly, multiple hands are on me and suddenly, my knee is kicked in. I whine as my legs give out and I fall to my knees while being pushed down. I feel two hands wrap around my queue and some push down my back, so I’m struggling to keep myself up on all fours. My hands are pulled from beneath me and arranged in front of me and I feel someone lift my waist.
I protest, curses and swear words spilling from my lips but they don’t faze anyone. I also continue to fight against their grip, hoping to make this as difficult for them as possible.
Quickly looking around me I notice some soldiers stood standing and watching. Around me, I recognize Mansk, Lyle, Lopez, and Fike.
“Come back here, hot stuff.”  Mansk was behind me, pulling me back by my waist and hips when I tried to crawl away. Lyle was on my side and I assumed his hands were around my queue. Lopez and Fike were holding me down by pushing my back and grabbing my arms. Mansk had wrapped his arm around my tail, holding me in place.
“Stop fuckin’ movin’.” I heard Mansk growl and my eyes widened in shock when I felt my stomach erupt in excitement and realised my body was positively reacting to their handling.
Within the next few seconds, someone delivered a harsh slap to my ass and I cried out, arching my back in pain before dropping my head and trying to hide my embarrassed face.
Lyle chuckled at my reaction, moving to sit in front of me now. He picked up my face into his hand, forcing me to look up at him. I closed my eyes, refusing to meet his gaze.
“Look at you turning all red, buttercup.” he cooed, and it felt like he was making fun of me. “This ain’t how I remember you.”
I open my eyes and glare up at him while he just grins.
Fike’s hands are on the waistband of my loincloth and he looks back to the Colonel for permission.
“Take it off.” Quaritch orders and the soldier's snicker in response. My eyes shoot wide open when I hear the words and I struggle again.
“Don’t you fucking dare, I will-” I start threatening but within seconds I feel someone quite literally rip the cloth from my waist. I scream in shock and in pain because the fingers that removed it scratched my skin. I pull my head away from Lyle’s grip.
His focus seems to have been distracted from my face and shifted to my bare waist. He could only watch his colleague's reactions to imagine what you looked like. Based on their groans and curses, he couldn’t wait to have his turn.
“Fuckin’ hell.” Mansk groaned, resting his hand on my bare hip and Lopez laughed.
“Christmas came early.” Fike jokes and I hide my face in my arm again.
Some soldiers standing around came behind Mansk to see and I tried blocking their laughs and jokes out.
“Show me.” Lyle ordered, becoming visibly impatient. His hand still held my braid while the other pulled me around by my waist. He leaned over to see what I looked like and when he cursed too I wanted to cry. The embarrassment was overwhelming. I’d never had this much unwanted attention and I didn’t know how to deal with it.
“You better hurry the fuck up. I’m next.” Lyle grinned, looking at Mansk who pulled my hips back to him. I closed my legs and managed to cover myself with my now free tail but it earned me another harsh slap to my other ass cheek.
“Don’t hide baby. It won’t help you.” I heard Quaritch say and my cheeks heated up even more. I forgot he was still there and he was probably watching the whole thing. The superior I used to look up to was watching and commanding his men to use me.
My tail was snatched away by Mansk again and Lopez untied the knot I made on my back, holding my chest piece in place. It fell open and I clenched my jaw together, tensing all my muscles. It was pulled over my head and I watched as someone threw it to the side. I was completely naked now. In front of 8 men.
Hands were feeling up and down my body, squeezing and caressing my bare, burning skin.
Lyle was back in front of me now, hand holding my face. I didn’t even fight his grip anymore, I just let him hold my head up.
My teary eyes and flushed face seemed to turn him on even more.
“You look so pretty, baby. Don’t worry, you’re gonna get what you want.” He cooed and I managed to gather the strength and snarl at him. He knew damn well this is not what I asked for.
I heard someone unbuckle their belt and shuffle behind me. Before long, my hips were pulled flush against someone else’s bare abdomen. I gasped, looking behind me and whining. I hated how the excitement in my stomach turned into the wetness that was gathering by my core. It wasn’t fair. I needed to stay strong. I wanted to prove to them that I was still strong and could resist as long as I wanted to. But the truth was, my opposing and rebellious thoughts were fading and being replaced with feelings I was denying for way too long.
Mansk grinded himself against me, feeling my slick on himself.
“Shit- looks like you’re enjoying this.” he snarled and I shook my head no, my ears strained back. But I was lying to myself at this point.
“Not yet.” Quaritch said and Mansk stopped. “Prep her first.”
Mansk pulled away and suddenly, someone pushed two fingers into me and I bit down on my lip.
Lyle was watching my reactions, falling silent and looking almost mesmerised. His ears were pointed forwards, trying to pick up all and any noises I made. Even just your heavy breathing had him feeling fired up.
The fingers inside me started moving and I squeezed my eyes shut and bit my lip, fighting the urge to just submit and let them use me. I whine again through clenched teeth and hear how Lyle sighs.
Luckily it stops before I can fall apart and the fingers which belong to Lopez are removed.
“Fuck, look at how wet she is.” he says, spreading the slick over my hot skin.
That’s when I know that I can’t hide it anymore. Hot tears start spilling down my face in embarrassment and I become aware of the fact that I am screwed. My pride is gone.
“Aw, don’t cry, buttercup. We’ll make you feel good.” Lyle teases me, running a thumb over my cheek and wiping away a few tears.
“No.” I whimper, trying in one last attempt to keep up my rebellious act but then I feel Mansk line himself up with me and then it’s all over.
One of his hands is on my tail while the other then tightly grips my waist and with one strong thrust, he’s inside me. I gasp at the stretch and the foreign feeling of intrusion. He mutters a curse under his breath, stilling for a moment.
“Shit- so tight. I’m only half in.” he says, his tone a little quieter now and a few soldiers laugh. My wide eyes meet Lyle’s when he says only half and Lyle laughs too.
“Don’t worry, baby. You can take it.” he says, and surprisingly his now softer voice comforts me. He rubs his thumb over my cheek again while Mansk pulls out and with his next thrusts, he pushes even deeper into me. A whimper and a sob leave my lips, but the noises seem to spur him on. He’s getting a reaction from me and that’s what he needs.
Soon, he’s thrusting in and out of me and it starts feeling good. His heavy breathing and grunting have my stomach erupting in sick butterflies and then he hits a spot inside me that shoots pleasure through me. My tensed figure suddenly relaxes and I involuntarily arch my back and moan.
The soldier’s heads shoot to me and Lyle looks surprised but the filthy noise makes his grin return.
“Look at you, taking it like a good slut.” he says and lightly slaps my cheek. It doesn’t even hurt, it just stings a little and manages to keep my head in reality.
Mansk speeds up his pace, pulling me back against him every time he thrusts forward. I feel another pair of hands move up and down my arched back while the others grope my breasts and play with my nipples.
Lyle grips my jaw again and takes advantage of my parted lips. He pushes his thumb past them and into my hot mouth. My jaw drops open a bit more and our eyes meet. My half-lidded eyes find his intrigued gaze and I watch his eyes widen as I swirl my tongue around his finger.
“Shit.” he whispers, unable to stop watching me suck his thumb. Mansk speeds up even more and I moan around Lyle’s finger.
Hastily, he removes it from my mouth and his hands fly to his belt. I watch as he opens everything, pulling his cammies down his waist swiftly. His toned abdomen, his v-line, toned thighs and huge dick make me moan again.
Lyle can’t wait any longer and pulls my head to his length, wrapping his fingers around my braid again.
Without any fucking hesitation, I stick my tongue out and sloppily lick a long stripe from his base to his tip. I keep my eyes trained on his face and watch how his lips are white from how hard he’s biting down on them.
Next, I open my mouth and wrap my lips around his head. He moans and I notice his body shudder.
Mansk is relentlessly fucking into me and I feel myself get close too. He keeps hitting the same spot inside me and I moan around Lyle.
In the next few seconds, my legs shake and I clench around Mansk who curses again and rides out my orgasm. My eyes roll to the back of my head and then his hips still with his cock deep inside me. Mansk releases his load, leaning forward and hugging my waist to keep me close to him. My quivering legs slowly slide out from beneath me but Mansk gets up and pulls me back up by my waist. He pulls out with a sigh and Lyle removes himself from my lips.
“My fucking turn.” Lyle announces, getting up and taking Mansk’s position. Mansk moves to the side, regaining his breath before getting dressed.
Fike had been jerking off to my sounds and watched how I was being fucked. He finished just before I did and was now getting dressed with Mansk. They both got up, grinning at each other before taking their previous spots and holding their weapons.
Lyle doesn’t need to wait, he just immediately pushes himself deep into me and starts to fuck me. I moan, trying to crawl away because I’m still so sensitive but he just tugs me back and tightens his grip. Lopez is now in front of me and his pants open too. My vision is a little blurry now, but maybe it’s just my clouded mind. I can’t properly comprehend what’s happening but I sure can’t fight it. I just let it happen now.
Lyle grabs my thighs, spreading them further apart so that my legs are resting around his. One of his hands is wrapped around my tail while the other is groping my ass.
I want to moan but then my mouth is filled with Lopez’s dick. I open my mouth as he makes me almost choke and let my tongue trace his veins. Lopez groans, his ears tipped back and fangs bared. Their primal side turns me on.
"Watch it with those." Lopez growls out, his thumb tracing over my fangs. I don't even get the chance to nod before I'm urged to take more.
I wrap my lips around him, taking him as far into my mouth as possible before hollowing my cheeks. He snarls, responding to the pleasure and slowly moves in and out of me.
Compared to him, Lyle is fucking the life out of me. The area where the skin of his thighs and abdomen slaps mine has turned red and no longer stings, it's becoming numb.
I moan around Lopez again and because I’m already so fucked out, time passes quicker. Lyle finishes by plunging himself as deep as Mansk into me and cumming. He makes me come a second time because he paid attention to how my body responded to him and applied pressure on my clit to get me over the edge. Seeing my eyes roll back again sent Lopez into euphoria and after they both pulled away and my quivering self was laying on the floor regaining my breath, their positions were taken.
Strong hands pull me from the ground and back onto all fours. My knees and palms became red and sore. I open my eyes and see Prager, Ja, and Brown kneeling around me.
Brown lines himself up behind me while Ja cups my face, smiling. Prager is keeping me stable and holding me in place so I don’t fall over.
“I can’t- anymore.” I sob, feeling like a mess. My skin has beads of sweat covering it, my face is flushed and my hips are bruised. The blood from my nose ran down my lips and I can taste the blood.
Tears are wiped away by Ja and he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. Prager and Brown look over at Quaritch.
“She can take it.” Quaritch assures. His voice reminds me of how angry I felt before. Like he would know whether I can or can’t.
I feel Brown push into me and moan. My slick mixed with Lyle’s and Mansk’s cum is dripping down my legs now. I protest with a whimper, spreading my arms and legs so that I really don’t collapse.
“Someone’s been fucked dumb.” Ja coo’s but it no longer makes me feel embarrassed. It makes me enjoy it that much more.
Brown tugs my hips towards him, his tail caressing my thigh as he ruts into me with no mercy. Prager and Ja switch places and Prager is opening his belt in front of me again. I started feeling like I was about to lose consciousness from everything happening around me.
Once Prager rid himself of his pants, I instinctively opened my mouth and he chuckled. His former colleague who beat him in combat was now waiting for him to push his cock into her mouth.
“Didn’t think I’d ever get to see you like this, Y/N.” he teases but his words just went in one ear and out the other. The other men laughed.
“Hurry up before she passes out on you.” A voice from one of the soldiers standing called and more snickers followed.
“Take it easy on her. I’m surprised she’s still standin’.” Quaritch says and I can tell by the way he says it that he’s grinning.
Prager nods and Brown slows down a little. Then Prager places his tip on my lips, gripping the back of my head and pushing about halfway in. I’m more used to the intrusion so I can take more of him. He bites his lip, pulling out before back slowly advancing a little further in. He’s almost bottomed out and I choke a little, squeezing my eyes shut. Another tear runs down my cheek and Prager moans, his head falling back.
I hear a few voices around me exchanging words and in synch with Brown’s thrusts, Prager pushes all the way down my throat so that my nose is pressed against his abdomen. My eyes are wide because I can’t believe I’m able to take him so far down my throat. Especially because he and all the other soldiers are so big.
I hold back a choke and cough a little, swallowing around him which drives Prager feral. He and Brown both still their hips and the soldiers standing around cheer at him and whistle.
“Shit, she can take it all. Makes me want to have another turn.” Someone says but I’m too distracted to figure out who it is.
“Not today, otherwise, we’ll lose her.” Quaritch chuckles.
Prager and Brown both pull out while Ja holds me up now. Brown finishes quickly and then Prager follows. I swallow Prager’s load out of reflex because he is so far down my throat.
When Prager pulls out I gasp for air and cough, which has a few soldiers snickering darkly. He high-fives Brown as he gets up, but Prager stays kneeling by me to hold me up for Ja.
“You okay, baby?” Ja asks but I can’t respond. I feel so weak and tired. He lets go of my waist and I slowly sink to the ground. My limbs are almost useless at this point.
Prager is grinning while Ja takes a bit of pity on me. He carefully turns me around so that I’m laying on my back before climbing on top of me, his arms caging me in. I feel a little less exposed like this at least. He smirks when my eyes meet his.
“I’ll try to be gentle.” he whispers, taking into consideration how sore I am and how watery my eyes are.
“Oh god.” someone laughs. “Lover-boy’s fallin’ in love again.”
Ja’s ears tip back and he glares at the soldier that commented that.
“Hey. Cut it out and let the man handle things. Someone has to be last.” Lyle stepped in.
My ears have drooped, and I just watch him. I’m too tired to even turn my head.
Ja looks at me before undoing his pants. When he slips them down, he checks on me again to make sure I’m still awake. He seems very caring. Unlike the others. It makes me feel safer. It also makes me regret kicking him in the face before.
Ja takes one of my legs, wrapping it around his waist and then he takes both my hands and pins them above my head with one of his. I don’t even lift a finger in protest.
Then, he moves his hips forward and slowly enters me. He manages to push all the way in because I’m stretched out from all the others but it doesn’t feel any less good.
They’ve all been deprived of sexual relief for a long time and now they could finally let it all out.
He’s about to pull out again when someone comments on something. Ja was about to punch his colleague and take you away so he could have you to himself but the comment stopped his violent thoughts.
“Damn, look.” Lopez nudges Brown and Mansk, but their eyes are already fixed on your abdomen. Lyle chuckles and even Quaritch now stands up to look.
Ja is confused and looks down only to be met with one of the most beautiful sights he’s ever seen. He examines the belly bulge, letting go of your thigh and pressing down lightly on your abdomen.
I whine, closing my eyes and it makes Ja want to claim me as his right then and there.
“Fuck, you don’t know how good you look right now, babygirl.” Mansk says, feeling needy all over again.
I whimper, letting my head fall to the side so that I’m not looking at them.
“Poor girl’s embarrassed. Leave her alone.” Prager jokes and they chuckle knowing you’ve been embarrassed from the second your knees hit the ground.
“You’re okay, baby. Let me take care of you.” Ja whispered, leaning down to my ear. I look up at him and nod a little in response which makes him smile.
Slowly and steadily, he pulls out of me. Ja starts gently thrusting into me, his one hand returning to keep my thigh around his lower waist. He rubs his hand along the skin, keeping it in place while he makes sure I feel good too. Every reaction I give him he takes into account and once I arch my back off the ground and into him, he grins, seeing it as a positive response. He speeds up just a little, but not enough to have our skin slapping.
I whimper and occasionally moan, my eyes fluttering closed.
He drops his head and licks the skin around my nipples before biting and kissing my neck.
The kisses surprise me but they piss Quaritch off.
“Not her mouth. Don’t you dare.” Quaritch orders, sternly. Ja looks up, not seeming happy with the order but still listening. He doesn’t nod, he just returns to kissing my neck which makes the butterflies in my tummy come to life again.
My mouth drops open as I feel another orgasm start to build up.
Ja’s thrusts become a little sloppy and he grinds down against my clit every time he bottoms out.
“You can let go, baby.” he whispers in my ear and I nod again. With the next few thrusts, I’m in heaven. My pussy clenches around him which pushes him over the edge but he rides out both our orgasms.
His head is dropped in the crook of my neck while we both regain our breath. I can’t even open my eyes, I just go limp. Ja gives my cheek a small kiss before carefully letting go of me and pulling out. Quaritch glares at him before Ja starts getting dressed.
I just lay on the floor, my legs resting on top of each other with one arm slightly covering my chest.
Quaritch walks over to me and squats down. He turns my head to look up at him and I notice the shit-eating grin on his face. He watches how my ears tip back and my little rebellion against him amuses the Colonel.
“You and I aren’t done yet.” he whispers before standing up.
“Prager, get the towel. Lyle, help the poor lady up.” he orders and Lyle walks over to me, sinking to his knees and pulling me up into a sitting position. Prager comes over and wipes away the mixture of body fluids than ran down my inner thighs. I flinch when he touches my pussy but Lyle comforts me by holding my cheek and rubbing my belly.
“You did well, buttercup.” he says and I would have scoffed at the pet name which I was now able to comprehend again, but I was mentally absent.
The towel is wrapped around me and Lyle pulls me to my feet. He’s about to pick me up but to his surprise, I push him away.
“I can fucking walk by myself, I don’t need your help.” I say. My previous attitude returning amuses the squad.
Lyle grins. “Go ahead.”
He removes his arms from under my arms and I take a step forward. Almost immediately my quivering legs give out but before I can sink to the ground, Lyle catches me again.
“Fuck.” I swear and he chuckles.
“Pick her up.” Quaritch orders and Lyle scoops me into his arms. I cover my face with the towel and don’t protest.
“What were you saying, baby?” Lyle teased and Mansk chuckled.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” I mumble. Lyle grins and starts walking behind the Colonel. The squad pick up their things and make their way to the exit.
“I want to go back.” I say, only loud enough for Lyle and Miles to hear.
I wanted to go back to my family, but I knew that there was no chance of that happening.
Quaritch scoffed, stopping in front of the exit doors and tucking in my towel so that nothing was exposed.
“Not happening. This is what you came for Y/N.” he teased, making sure I was covered before pressing the button and the large automatic doors opened. The daylight hit me and I shielded myself with the towel.
Mansk and Ja walked beside Lyle to keep the people and other soldiers who weren’t recoms away. They felt protective over you. You were their Y/N after all.
No one needed to know about their business. All they saw was them carrying out a limp, not moving Na’vi. Whether she was dead or alive, they didn’t know.
What the recoms knew was that they were not finished with you and you knew Quaritch still had plans.
The team knew you from before. They wouldn’t shoot you and dump your body in the water. You were being taken back to their base, where they would take care of you.
(probably won't be able to post for the next 2 weeks, so sorry. I'm learning for finals and have so many assignments due.)
Let me know how you liked it <3 i appreciate all feedback. This took me way too long💞💀

Hey! I’m creating a charchter and story based off a prompt from a game (clangen, if you know it). They’re wolves, living a wolf life. This character is one of the parents of the main family / pack the story follows.
One of the characters is a skilled mediator, have good insight, but also quick to start fights and bicker with others, and has caused several fights. Obviously these are quite conflicting traits, but I feel like there may be a clever way to tie them in together, to make sense and to make a more interesting character- but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Any ideas?
Tumblr media
Writing a Low-Key Manipulative Character
Hmmm. Your questions really did get me thinking here for a good while. While being a good mediator and picking fights between members of the group seem to be conflicting traits, both tasks require a core skill: quickly picking up on others’ wants.
When the character wants to mediate, they’ll be able to negotiate a solution by addressing the underlying needs/wants of others. For example, Character A is fighting with Character B over an orange. Your mediator character quickly picks up that while Character A wants the orange peel for her cake, Character B is just hungry and wants the orange meat. They use that insight to divide the orange efficiently.
When the character wants to pick a fight, they’ll be hella quick on knowing what the hot takes of the other characters are, and pushing their buttons.
It can also be the case that your mediator character is simply more blunt/straightforward in voicing their own or other’s thoughts, especially in a society/situation where no one is willing to speak their minds out loud. That trait is easily a double-edged sword: it can cut confusion and foster understanding, or it can just get on people’s nerves and wrack the conversation that should’ve been approached more “softly” by using cushion words.
Overall, your character sounds like they’re an opportunist – they know they have good social sense, and is willing to leverage that ability to make peace with those whom they think would be helpful for them while driving the people apart when they don’t like seeing them together.
Since you mentioned that they’re a parent in a central pack in your story, you can try exploring the parent-child power dynamics. Is your parent character trying to choose their children’s friends? Are they purposefully setting up awkward dinner situations in order to win “useful” or “good influence” friends for their kids, while showing negative bias towards other neighbors? Are they whispering in the ears of their partner to make them act in a certain way towards other people? In close-knit family situations, it is a lot easier to make your close ones believe in you since they already have a high level of underlying trust. Children, of course, will take their parents’ words to be true/authoritative.
If your character does a lot of mediating/picking fights, you may consider whether your character has a manipulative streak. Some people just “have fun” telling others what to do and they’re great at persuading – oftentimes without trying to take responsibility for the outcomes.

Kendratello: An Analysis
What’s up?
I wanted to do an analysis on this ship, and now I'm doing it!
If you are in the Rise Fandom and somehow you have never heard of it, Kendratello is basically a ship between Donnie and Kendra that’s slowly gaining popularity
For as long as I have been in the Rise fandom, I’ve been seeing this ship popping up more and more. By now, it’s almost impossible to meet someone who hasn't heard of the ship, and even though there’s not much content of it, there’s definitely more people who ship it than you think
However, despite the growing popularity, there are still a good chunk of people that hate it for various reasons
But how did it come to be? Where did the ship come from? Why is it so loved by some and hated by others? Well, I’m gonna answer all those questions and even share my own opinions on the ship!
But first a disclaimer!
This analysis is ONLY meant to describe why people like Kendratello or why they don’t like it! Any canon info I bring up will be provided in full context alongside descriptions of how Kendratello shippers may interprete said canon info in order to gain a better understanding of their perspective
Everything I say about the ship is mainly from what I know from the Kendratello content on Tumblr as I don't really use any other social media
I'll also mostly be focused on Kendra because most of the arguments against Kendratello has to do with her
This is NOT meant to be something to persuade or dissuade you from shipping Kendratello!
So let’s get started!
In order to begin, let’s introduce the lovely characters involved in this ship with a brief description
Donatello, also known as Donnie, is a softshell turtle and one of the middle children alongside his twin, Leo
Much like his other versions, Donnie works with tech, but what makes him more unique is that he displays a more mad-scientist-like attitude and has a huge theater kid persona
Kendra is one of the antagonists introduced during the first season. She’s the leader of a computer tech group called The Purple Dragons and specializes in working with computer software, hacking, and modifying
She and her group are basically trouble makers causing various kinds of chaos, to describe them incredibly briefly
So how do they meet?
Donnie and Kendra meet in the episode The Purple Jacket when Donnie sneaks into April’s school to help her with a project. It was there he first noticed the tech club. Well, not really the club, but more the jacket. He then immediately tries to join the club just to get his hands on said jacket by showing off his tech.
Kendra, seemingly impressed, allows Donnie to join and gives him Jason’s jacket. However, it’s revealed that the only reason why she let Donnie join was so she and her group could steal his tech in order to use them to rob various tech stores in order to then steal a code from some very important computer company. Of course Donnie and April stop them and get them arrested. The end
So that’s basically the beginning, now let's go over why someone wouldn't ship it
First thing to get it out of the way, you were ask why someone didn't ship Kendratello, then most of the time, they would say that it’s because of Kendra, so let’s talk about that!
Kendra is a bully. She uses others for her own benefit and causes mischief for her own entertainment, which can range from annoying yet harmless pranks to her getting people hurt
After she stole Donnie’s stuff and he got her arrested, Kendra retaliated by making Donnie think he’s just playing a normal video game when in reality, he’s controlling a giant robot that almost smashed his brothers, and then tries to do so herself when that fails for the sake of seeing Donnie’s reaction
She also convinced Shelldon (Donnie’s robotic companion who was feeling low when they encountered due to an argument he and Donnie had) into participating a deadly race known for causing many drones to get dismantled just to win her the Shadow Transmitter and then yelled at him and ditched him when he failed
And these are only things she did to Donnie. She also yells at and gets physically violent with Jason, and while she does see Jeremy more as an equal, she still snaps at him and shoves him around
She's sadistic, she's cruel. There’s a 50-50 chance that either she’s aware of how bad she is and doesn't care or sees nothing wrong with anything that she does. And judging by how done April seems towards her, and the way Jeremy barely reacts to anything she does, I’m gonna assume that Kendra’s been like this for a while
And yeah, she’s an antagonist, so no shit she’s awful
However, if we wanna play the Canon game, then canonically, Donnie altered his brothers’ minds to make them smarter, he gave Leo a shock collar as a present to “correct” his behavior, he chained up Sheldon as punishment for giving him attitude, and he almost destroyed a town just to prove he’s right
The only difference between the two is that
Donnie did feel remorse for all of them and tried to fix it to the best of his ability. Kendra on the other hand doesn't really show all that much remorse for what she does and has full intentions of doing it again if she ever gets the opportunity (and she has, multiple times)
I am purposefully leaving what Donnie did out somewhat of context just to make him look as bad as Kendra (specifically their intentions behind their actions)
(And just to get it out of the way, Jeremy and Jason are both just as bad as Kendra. Even though Kendra, for the most part, treats them like trash as well, they still willingly go along with what she wants)
However, there are others who don’t ship it because Kendra reminds them of someone in real life and it makes them uncomfortable
Now, I just wanna say that if you feel uncomfortable with Kendratello due to this, I completely understand
I also want to say that even if you don’t know anyone that Kendra makes you think of, it’s still okay to be uncomfortable with the ship. You do not need a reason why to not like a ship, and if anyone has a problem with that, that’s on them
So with that in mind, it’s completely understandable why anyone would dislike the ship. Based on the evidence, they would be an extremely toxic relationship. You’d have to be absolutely INSANE to even think this is a good ship, right?
Well… Here’s the thing
Like most ships in existence, you gotta have the art of interpretation and shutting off the canon brain, especially when it comes to Kendra
Sure, there are still some things that makes Kendra, Kendra, like her working with tech, her being super smart, her going by a purple theme, and sometimes she’s still a menace (depending on the story)
And the other thing you need to know is that Kendra, just like all the other non-important villains in Rise, is pretty much a one-dimensional character. Her character is literally just a bully who’s the leader of a tech club that's constantly after devices that can hack any computer. Other than a few things, we barely know that much about Kendra, so there’s room for people to add their own personal headcanons and stuff
And it's not like Kendra is going to be evil 24/7, which gives people a change to give Kendra more traits to be more than just that as well exploring the potential reasons she is the way she is
Basically what happens 90% of the time is that most of Kendra’s negative traits are turned into positive ones. For example, take the fact that she's manipulative, arrogant, insensitive, bossy, and aloof, and turn them into charismatic, confident, honest, assertive, and reserved. These are all words that have different associations, but they basically mean the same thing
And Kendra is usually either
Given some kind of tragic backstory (usually revolving around her parents getting a divorce)
Given a redemption arc
Given more likable traits
Most of or all of the above
There’s also a good chance that the Kendratello story someone is sharing either takes place after the series or it takes place in an AU, so of course the characters are going to be a little/very different. Although sometimes you'll find stories that take place before or during the series. Many people have their own ideas on how Kendratello would go. Though usually what I talked about above is often the formula used. You just gotta find the right story, or make your own story of how you think Donnie and Kendra would fall in love and eventually get together!
And keeping with the themes Rise has of being lighthearted, it’s pretty fun and hilarious to imagine those two bickering one minute and then making out the next. It’s pretty easy to see a bit of a slow-burn enemies to lovers where Kendra and Donnie both slowly realize that oh no, they’re totally into each other, but won’t say anything because of their pride and all that. So there’s the drama, the tension, the idea of will they, won’t they?
Plus, come on, lots of us love a good Enemies To Lovers story with some Slow Burn on the side
And imagine those two going on a date by committing various crimes and half the city is destroyed because of them and then they watch the news talking about what they did while cuddling and holding their new pet cat that they randomly got at some point
Overall, most of the time the story is about two messed up individuals who end up finding peace with each other. They feel like they're the only ones that can understand each other, and they hate it, but at the same time, they don't mind
However, that’s just one side of the ship
I said it in another post I made, but if we look at the ship through another viewpoint, the side that leans more towards the toxic side of the ship, then Kendra is the embodiment of Donnie’s deepest fears and insecurities
The biggest thing people tend to overlook about Donnie is that he cares very much about being useful to the people he loves. It’s why he behaved the way he did in Witch Town, because he’s terrified that if magic can do what he does but better, then no one will need him anymore
Meanwhile Kendra is someone who will very much jump at a chance to take advantage of anything that will benefit her, especially if it has anything to do with Donnie
Donnie is the provider, and Kendra is the exploiter
Those two are perfect for each other in the worst way possible and horrible for each other in the best way possible
And I will mention too that are things that happen in canon that people interpret to be Kendratello moments, or they say could be used as evidence for Kendratello
Kendra blowing a kiss to Donnie (The Purple Jacket: She does this before attempting to leave Donnie to deal with his tech turning against him (which she hacked) to go rob the world bank)
Donnie saying that “Cute but mean” is his type (War and Pizza: He says this while getting stomped on by a tomato animatronic, saying, “Oh you’re so cute, but so mean! Why do I always go for your type?!” before proceeding to electrocute it)
Donnie and Kendra flirt whenever they interact (purely interpretation)
Donnie wanting to join the Purple Dragons because he has a crush on Kendra (also purely interpretation)
Now my thoughts on the actual ship? Eh, it’s complex
I see them as a Doomed to Fail type. They would most likely end up in some kind of a codependent relationship because of their biggest flaws, and I can see the official break up being extremely messy on both sides (since I 100% see them taking several “breaks”). Then after a couple years, things are back to normal, with Donnie and Kendra being rivals, only this time they have a respect for each other and they even help each other out if the other person needs it. And even though they still have some feelings for each other, they choose to remain as exes because they don’t want to risk falling back into old habits
On the other hand, I’m frankly tired of the whole, “Bad Person’s Not Actually Bad, They’re Just Misunderstood And Need Someone Who Understands Them” thing
And before anyone tries telling me about Kendra dealing with her parents having a divorce
We don’t know what exactly happened during the divorce between her parents. There’s no cookie cutter reaction to how a teenager would react to their parents having a divorce no matter how well or badly it's handled
The only time Kendra ever brought up the implications that her parents are divorced was when Jason failed to get the Shadow Transmitter. She told him that she wished her father never married his mother, which implies the only reason why Jason is part of the Purple Dragons is because he’s her step-brother. So basically she’s telling him that if she could kick him out then she would
Now, I’m not saying Kendra’s dad and stepmom are the perfect parents, because clearly they’re not with what I’ve mentioned so far, but still
And don't get me wrong, I'm on team Purple Dragons Get A Redemption Arc, I just see it happening more in a way where they become anti-heroes because they got bored of going after the same goal over and over again
Alright, those are all of my opinions
So, overall, do you have to ship Kendratello? No
Is it one of the more complex ships? Oh yeah
Did me rewatching every single scene Kendra is in over and over again in order to describe how she is in canon make it really hard to make this whole thing without being biased? Most definitely
But really, the reason why people ship Kendratello? It’s just for fun!
I know some people in every fandom tend to take shipping and their head canons way too seriously for some reason, but here? It’s genuinely just for fun
That’s all I have to say, but hopefully you now know more about it! Again, if you don’t ship it cause it makes you uncomfortable, that’s okay! But it doesn't give you an excuse to harass those that do. If it bothers you so bad, then the block button is right there. People have their own ideas of how the ship would go and their own reasons why they like it
If you got any questions or something to say, don’t hesitate to send them my way. I can’t guarantee that I’ll get to all of them, but I’ll do my best!

Vertin's Coma: Did she really need to be put into AS?
This is just yapping pure yapping but as a community we have generally accepted that end of Chapter Two she definitely needed to be put under AS to help with her trauma.
The fact that Constantine after Vertin was put into a coma and immediately sought to isolate the suitcase fam + Three Doors revealing how suspicious the creation of the AS was leads me to believe she never needed it in the first place and was a political move to manipulate Vertin further.
(I should figure out screenshots lol)
Chapter Three is mostly about the Breakaway Incident and the SPDM kids but we do see the aftermath of Chapter Two before Vertin's coma.
The Reformation Bill was made by Vertin and given to Madam Z, and immediately once Vertin leaves the room she is met by two "Medical Officers" who escort her to Laplace to Mesmer Jr.
Suspicious things about Vertin's Coma/ being placed under AS:
One - Direct Orders from Constantine, she was never viewed concern for Vertin at all, rather a chess piece to be controlled so why now be concerned about her?
Two - Sonetto and Mesmer Jr's convo reveals Vertin was "held down", Sonetto even questions this but rationalises this as her arcanist blood making her irrational
Three - Current members of the suitcase are isolated into the Foundation, Druvis being the last one to leave (even the nature of this sounds like they are forced to) and pressured to join the Foundation.
Four - Madam Z confirms that Vertin had never needed treatment since being the Timekeeper.
But ... Oranges?
Realising at the last second Schneider was never going survive in the suitcase, promising a false shelter (realising she could save people from Regulus) only for Schneider to be taken regardless was 100% traumatising for Vertin. Deffo. However in the brief moments before her Vertin seems more or less sane, depressed? Sure but mentally well enough to make a decision to give Z the Bill, persuade her to try for the bill before promptly being escorted to AS.
Summary: I don't think Vertin ever needed to be put under AS due to "intense trauma", this sounds more like an excuse even if there is some truth (I mean who wouldn't be) but rather a ploy to isolate the arcanists saved by Vertin and force them to join the Foundation and ensure Vertin remained under their control.
This only adds to the suspicious nature of the AS, literal induced coma as a political ploy.
Constantine at the end of Ch.4 saying Vertin's treatment was finished is very concerning. This is definitely not true and really ... how long would they have kept Vertin under? She's the Timekeeper ofc but three months? Was she tended to wake up naturally or rather when the Foundation deemed it necessary to?

My hand slipped, got stuck on the bus today, almost three hours for what should have been a 30 minute journey so this happened. A tiny fic about how Tia Pepa’s plans for Eddie not to be alone can get the boys together. Just the random thoughts of a spot that’s stuck in traffic, just on mobile so no ao3 link but it’s there
Always There General 1.1k
To Eddie’s relief Christopher’s birthday party is going well, he’d been worried this year, the older Chris gets the harder it is to know what will work but you can’t go wrong with computer games (at least that’s what Buck said and Christopher agreed). Buck had found a video arcade with retro gaming consoles that did private functions.
The plan was a done deal once Chris and Buck checked out the website. It suddenly became the only option Chris would consider and now it’s almost over Eddie has to admit it was a good idea. Everyone has had a great time. Even the adults. Buck has been in his element and Eddie even managed to play on a few of the games with him, Buck sulking when he lost and gloating with every triumph. Eddie didn’t care who won, he was just pleased to see Buck so happy.
Buck lost more frequently when he was playing against Pepa who showed no mercy. Eddie had to stop himself from laughing at Buck’s dismay everytime she won. Pepa had been persuaded to stay around after she dropped off Christopher’s gift . Buck had challenged her to some racing game and she was hooked. She’s still here now watching the kids and Buck have fun with a smile on her face.
He’s too busy watching Buck to notice his Tia’s attention is divided. Buck suddenly checks his watch and bounces over.
“Pizza should be here soon. You wanna get them off the games and I’ll go wait for it”
Eddie laughs, “Nice try! You can get them together and I’ll go wait for pizza!
I’m not separating a bunch of 12 year olds from their games, this was your idea!”
Buck yells “Hey no fair!” after him but it’s too late. He's already moving away with a grin that widens as he hears Pepa say “Don’t worry Buck you have me, even if my nephew wants to run away from the hard jobs, we’ve got it covered.”
Eddie’s actually impressed when he returns with pizza to see everyone ready. Buck leaps up as soon as he sees him and takes half the pizza boxes off him. Together they distribute the food and snatch a few pieces for themselves. He has to slap Buck’s hand away from his pizza a few times as he tries to steal his extra mushrooms.
His complaint that if some people wanted mushrooms they should order mushrooms falls on deaf ears and makes both Buck and Pepa laugh.
A quick check of his watch reveals the kids have another 30 minutes of arcade fun left which Buck supervises as Eddie clears up.
Despite the success of it all he’s glad it’s nearly over, he's looking forward to getting home and having a well deserved beer with Buck. Maybe he can persuade him to stay over. Shouldn’t be too hard.
A voice interrupts his thoughts,“Do you and Christopher want to come back to mine, open his presents there?”
He answers Pepa without much thought “Thanks but Buck is coming home with us tonight , Chris wants to open his presents with us there.”
Eyes drifting towards Buck and Chris again he fails to notice the slightly amused twist to Pepa’s lips.
A little later Buck joins them, “Hey, Ty’s mom just texted to say she’s stuck at work and could we drop him off. I said that’s fine, it’s on the way back anyway. Do you wanna keep an eye on them, I’m just gonna start putting the gifts in the jeep.”
Eddie nods “Ok, I’ll tell Chris they’ve got 10 more minutes,” Then with a smile Buck disappears and Eddie watches him leave.
When he turns back he’s confronted by his with a look and as if the face isn’t bad enough she slaps him lightly on the chest.
He frowns back “What? What’s that look for and why you hitting me?
“Because I was worried, you let me think you were all alone.” The scoffing noise she makes is very familiar.
“Why did you let me set you up with that nice girl when you already have someone? Eddie, shame on you, raising her hopes when you’re already taken.”
He briefly considers the possibility that Pepa’s been drinking “I’m taken? What? I’m I’m lost”
She’s not listening, “Why? Do you not trust your Tia?! You think I would disapprove of that lovely, lovely man?! Eddie!! I’m hurt.” She shakes her head again.
His eyes flick towards the door. “Are are we talking about Buck?”
“Are we talking about Buck?!” Hands wave and tap his cheek not exactly gently but not so much it hurts.
“Yes I am talking about your partner, your Buck. Christopher’s Buck too. Eddie, open your eyes. I am no longer worried about you being alone. You have not been alone and you should have told me so! There will be no more blind dates! I expect you to get your own,” there’s an ominous pause. “and soon!”
Then she kisses his cheek and is gone and he’s left in the wake of a mild epiphany.
Buck bounces in a few moments later. “I saw Pepa leave and Jake and Gab’s parents are parking. I’ll go tell the kids.” Buck pauses and frowns “You ok? You look weird”
He shakes himself. Pepa wants him to get out there, find someone that he can be happy with. Now she thinks he’s found that someone.
Buck’s still looking at him, frown getting more intense the longer he waits. Eddie knows exactly what Buck will do next, he’ll close the distance between them, touch his arm, look him in the eye and ask him again if he’s ok with nothing but concern and affection, no, with love in his heart.
Suddenly the idea of letting someone into his life isn’t so scary, and that’s probably because he let someone in years ago and just hadn’t noticed but his Tia had and she’s never wrong. Get himself a date, he actually thinks he might be able to do that.
“Hey Buck, you wanna have dinner with me. Just us.”
The look that falls over Buck’s face can only be called hope.
“Ju Just us?”
Eddie nods “Just us.”
“Like a…?”
He nods again, “If you wanna?
Buck bites his lips together, then a smile breaks free.
“Yeah I do wanna. I I really do.”
Something warm spreads through Eddie’s body and he thinks Oh. Oh this is how you’re supposed to feel when you have a date; excited and happy and so full of hope you could burst.
Then parents are arriving and children are leaving and Buck’s busy dealing with everything with a smile on his face and Eddie knows he’s not going to be alone, hasn’t actually been alone for years.
Turns out dating isn’t a problem as long as you find the right person and without any doubt in his heart Eddie looks at Buck and knows he has.

@ellakas I'm so glad you asked!
Zachary Taylor is one of those presidents that no one talks about in history class. But the thing is, in the 1840s, everyone was talking about him. He was the war hero of the Mexican-American War. The war itself (a blatant land grab by President Polk) was unpopular, but Taylor emerged as a beloved hero, because was a really good military commander, and because stories emerged about how humanely he treated Mexican prisoners.
Taylor was so popular that both political parties asked him to be their candidate in the next presidential election. He had never held political office. Never shown interest in politics. He had never even voted in a presidential election before! (His reasoning was that, as a military man, he didn't want to serve a commander-in-chief that he had voted against). Yet he was eventually persuaded to run--and win--as the Whig Party candidate.
(Fun fact! His wife, who had no interest in being a politician's wife, prayed that he'd lose the election. Taylor also showed his religious convictions by refusing to be sworn in on a Sunday, so his inauguration was delayed by a day, leaving the US president-less for twenty-four hours).
Even after he was president, Taylor had no interest in playing politics. He wanted to serve the country, not the party. He refused to play political games, purposely not appointing some of the big names of the party to his Cabinet so he could have more diverse voices representing a wider swath of the country. Still in the military mindset of "I give orders and people obey", he was frustrated that he was constantly questioned by Congress, and was very much at odds with them.
The big issue of his presidency was the fact that the US had just gained a ton of land from Mexico, and they had to decide if they'd enter the Union as slave or free states. Since Taylor was a slave-owning Southerner, the Southern Democrats hoped he'd side with them. But Taylor didn't want to expand slavery. First, because it's dumb--it's not like we can grow cotton or sugar in New Mexico or Arizona, so why would we even need plantations? But also because he was coming under the influence of some of the most vocal anti-slavery New York Whigs. To the great anger of the Democrats, Taylor said he wanted California to enter immediately as a free state, and would prefer all the territories to be free states. Before the issue could be resolved, he died. He got violently ill after Fourth of July celebrations in 1850 (because the White House water was still contaminated by human feces), and died five days later, after only a year and a half in office.
A year and a half isn't much time to make an impact. But I'm still fascinated by this president. He was a wonderful mess of contradictions. He was a Southern slave-owner who joined the Northern anti-slavery party. He was against all talk of secession--on the grounds of "I spent forty years serving this country and I want it to stay in one piece"--even though his son-in-law was (I'm not kidding) future president of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis. As a slave-owner and US military leader in the 1800s, he logically can't be a totally good guy, yet I get the sense that he was genuinely trying to be, in the context of his time. And he was showing signs of further character development. If he had lived, who's to say what he could have become, what he could have done?
But we'll never know, because his death left the country in the hands of Millard Fillmore, possibly the most aggressively mediocre man ever to become president (though I have high hopes for Chester Arthur). He actually has a pretty amazing origin story. He was the son of a dirt-poor farmer who apprenticed him to a cloth-maker in what became an indentured servitude situation. He scraped up enough money to buy his freedom and return home. Growing up, the only book he had to read was the Bible, until he turned 17 and bought himself a dictionary. At 20, he started taking adult classes to finally get the education he'd been denied; his teacher was a woman two years older than him who he eventually married. He became a lawyer, and then went into politics, serving in the New York State Legislature. He authored no significant bills. Made no big impact. The main traits people noticed about him were "tall" and "good-looking" (Queen Victoria did later call him the most handsome man she'd ever met). He was just kind of... there.
He was picked as Taylor's vice president for much the same reason Taylor was recruited as presidential candidate--he was moderate enough to appeal to both sides of the polarized political spectrum. New York was the home of the most vocal anti-slavery Whigs, but Fillmore was moderate on the slavery issue. As vice president presiding over the Senate, people mentioned he was "very fair" in how he let both sides speak. And that's like...the best people can say about him.
The question of the slave states eventually produced a bill that came to be known as the Compromise of 1850. Taylor--the enemy of compromise--was against it. Fillmore, a few days before Taylor's death, stated he would support it. After Taylor died, his entire Cabinet resigned rather than serve under a president who supported the Compromise. When the bill passed, Fillmore signed it into law.
The Compromise stated 1) California would enter the union as a free state; 2) the slave trade would end in Washington D.C.; 3) The other territories would decide for themselves if they wanted to allow slaves or not. Most importantly, it put the Fugitive Slave Act into effect, requiring all citizens, even in Northern states, to help return runaway slaves to their owners. The North was outraged over the Fugitive Slave Act; they wanted nothing to do with the practice of slavery and now the government was forcing even free states to support the institution. This law was meant to bring together both sides and prevent war, but it probably had the opposite effect, deepening the divide and hastening the plunge toward armed conflict.
This has led historians to speculate--if the more forceful, principle-driven Taylor had lived, could the path to Civil War at least have been delayed? No way to say, of course; maybe Taylor's solution would have made things worse. But the contrast between these two presidents is so fascinating. In Taylor, you have the apolitical war hero who sticks to his guns--the increasingly anti-slavery slave owner. Meanwhile, Fillmore is a bland politician from the most anti-slavery state who refused to speak against slavery--a man who never really achieved anything because he never really stood for anything. They're such complex characters, full of irony and contradictions, and I'm outraged that my history classes completely skipped over them on the way to Lincoln.

I think now that pretty much everyone (at least on here) watched the last 2 episodes, I'm going to translate some scenes that I thought were worth sharing with you guys.
(These are mostly in chronological order).
1) Ray's plan to retire.
Tumblr media
In this scene, Ray explains his plan has always been to retire, ever since Henry came into the picture. He goes on to say that he was waiting for Henry to graduate but he "ditched him" (idk if this is what he saying in the original version, but in the Italian dub, he still seems to try and resent Henry for abandoning him, based on the tone of voice).
2)Timeline pt 1.
Tumblr media
In this scene, we have Miles saying that he feels like Ray is going too fast, given the fact that him and Credenza have been dating for only a season of genuine moments, giving us an idea of a possible timeline.
3) Buddy angst pt1.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the first pic, we have Buddy turning his back on df, because he was told by his mother that the df kids were evil and that they were probably going to try to persuade him to join them after telling him that his mother is the leader of the cell. (Manipulative bitch). He obviously feels angry and betrayed, and when Mika tries to tell him that they were telling the truth, she yells at her, defending his mother by saying that she was not that type of person. His dad? Yes. But not his mom.
The second pic is him after Mika showed him proof that Credenza was actually the leader of the cell, and after the kids came up with a plan, Mika (I think? I don't remember) says that his mom is most likely going to jail after this, and although Buddy says and he's not all that happy with that, he doesn't seem to fight it and I think that's important to gove depth to his character and his justice beliefs.
4)Give Chapa a break from Daddy issues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this whole scene Buddy explains that Drex thought him how to chip, when he was younger, before Drex left. In response to that Bose says that that was "relatable" (1st pic), but Buddy carries on by saying something along the lines of "but he came back so things are good between us now", and Bose responds with "now I'm jealous".
After that Chapa interrupts them by asking them to stop talking about their tragic childhoods.
I thought this scene was important to mention because not only it gives an idea of how much of an involved dad Drex really was, but it shows a side of Bose that we have never seen before, which is him being envious of Buddy, which in my opinion is totally understandable for OBVIOUS reasons.
Tumblr media
Also Drex receiving the message that Buddy sent him was so wholesome for no reason🤧.
5) Buddy angst pt2.(rough weekend child).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this scene, after Credenza reveals herself, she has a petty dispute with Drex, which ends with her saying that Drex must be used to be second place (BURN). It ends like this because Buddy comes in between them, asking his mom if she was planning to also tell him, or if he also came in second place to her (UGH🤧).
I RAN OUT OF PICS I CAN USE FOR THE POST BUT PART TWO IS COMING I PROMISE😮‍💨.

So I've seen this edit a while ago. This made me think, "what if jjk was a shojo?" And it took a while, but I came up with this:
Jujutsu Kaisen - Where Our Pink Is?
Jujutsu High School is the first school attended by Satoru - the wealthy heir to the Gojo family estate. Everything was going according to plan. He had to graduate high school with excellent grades and then receive access to an infinite amount of money. After all, he deserves it, right? The problem begins when the proud and arrogant teenager is at risk of being expelled from school for his bad behavior. In order to pass to the next grade, Satoru and two other problematic students - Suguru and Shoko - are tasked with persuading the principal's daughters - Riko and Tengen Amanai - to go to school. By a coincidence of unfortunate events, the girls began to think that they were just one person who didn't need studying, much less that stupid math teacher! Looking out for the weak and protecting them is honestly so exhausting. Let alone when another kid joins the gang - Megumi Fushiguro, who is the most insolent little shit Satoru has ever met.
This is the story of how Satoru Gojo (with a little help from Suguru and Shoko) has to go through the difficult life of a babysitter!

Dinner time [Kids temp part II - Papa Emeritus IV x F!Reader -OS]
Following the suggestion of a reader, here it is a second part where we witness the after-encounter commentary of the Sisters… and so much more.
This had been sitting in my drafts for literal months, but there were some details I really couldn’t work until inspiration hit back again.
I know I often make parallels between cunnilingus and food, but girl, if they gotta eat, they gotta eat.
This story in particular was written mostly for fun and to give a little bit of love to the Sisters, with little glimpse of their everyday life at the Ministry. Enjoy ;)
****
Title: Dinner time [Kids Temp part II]
Genre: PWP, smut, explicit, oral sex, sex, nsfw
Pairing: Papa Emertitus IV x F!Reader (Sister of Sin)
Rating: Nc17
Summary: After the first encounter in his office, thanks to a cup of kids temp coffee, Papa requests you to serve dinner in his chambers. You obviously do not neglect the task… and the new bet with your Sister-best friend. Wattpad | AO3 or down here 👇🏻
Fors those who haven’t read the first part: Kids Temp >>> Wattpad | AO3
Tumblr media
You run straight to your group of Sister friends, jumping with your brightest grin.
They are grouped in the cloister, enjoying each other’s company between chores.
You hug the Sister you had made the bet with, your best friend, wrapping your arms around her neck and kissing her on the lips. “Do you feel it? That’s the taste of victory!” you chirp with your high-pitched voice.
“Nooo way!” she screams in response, just as happy as you. “My little hoe!”
“Ah, great, you did it…” you hear Sister Lucy, visibly irritated, "but you know what? I fucked Terzo so many times that you can go fuck yourself.”
“All pre-Copia sisters here fucked Terzo, there's really nothing to brag about.” another sister comments.
"Oh, come on, don't be sad... maybe he was just in a bad mood that day," you try to comfort her. You know she's not really mad at you, only let down because she didn't make it with Copia. You're soon interrupted by the other Sisters.
“Come on, tell us about his cock!”
"And his perfume! Does he really smell that good?"
"He smells like he bathes in Armani every morning..." you confirm, rolling your eyes all dreamy.
"I knew it was Armani!"
"How did you persuade him? He looks so unreachable lately..."
"It was pretty easy, actually. I don't know what worked… I just acted annoying as usual." You shrug. "You just have to insist a bit more, I guess. It's all about keeping the connection."
Another Sister interrupts you again. “But back to the most important thing: the dick.”
“Is he big?”
“Yes! He IS big! And he is soooo good… And he likes deepthroat…”
“All men like deepthroat.”
“Yes but the way he pushes you down is…” again you roll your eyes as you were telling them of a dream “…so demanding.”
"Did you only blow him?"
"Yeah," you say with a little bit of disappointment. "But it was great anyway."
"Well, you made it anyway. Maybe he likes you..." Sister Ania tenderly caresses your hair with the sweetest smile. "Maybe he'll make you his new chosen partner."
You really wish… you feel so in love.
You decided to join the Clergy after watching the band at a concert, after Copia was proclaimed new Papa. In the dimly lit concert hall, hidden from your oppressive family who had no knowledge of your attendance, you watched in awe Papa Emeritus IV magnifically honoring Lucifer and decided you wanted to spend the rest of your days kneeling before that man. It was your call to escape,  to run away from your family, finding a new, loving one in the other Sisters with a similar background as yours.
To everybody you are still “The little one”, everyone’s child. Much like the other girls who joined the order at a tender age, you sought refuge among the Sisters, forging bonds with those who shared backgrounds akin to your own, supporting each other and sharing fantasies of your favorite Papas, fueled by the tales of the older sisters, who were much more experienced than you but always ready to guide and protect you through their teachings.
You found in sex liberation and power, when you felt ready to experiment with it, and in the Sisters of Sins a new, loving family.
Days are dedicated to the rigors of the Ministry, toiling away at chores and immersing yourself in rituals, masses and daily life of the order. But as the sun dips below the horizon, nights come alive. The dormitories echo with the sound of celebration – parties, orgies, and whispers that stretch into the morning. Here, you all share the common bond of sisterhood, stories from the older ones, and the simple joys of being together.
Among the many sisters, one name reigns supreme: Serena, The Legend. She holds a unique distinction, having been with all the Papas throughout her time. Contrary to common belief, having sex with a Papa wasn't something to be taken for granted.
Even before the formal inception of the Sisters of Sin order during Secondo's papacy, Serena was already a devout fan. She had followed the band from its humble beginnings in small clubs, led by Primo. During that period, she had been engaged to an insufferable man who only succeeded in making her feel insecure.
Yet, as she found herself chanting those unholy lyrics alongside Primo and a handful of early fans, it was like a clarion call to reclaim her independence. Serena had been one of the earliest to join the Sisters of Sin order. Breaking up with her useless fiancé, she embarked on a personal mission: to find Primo and complete the to-do list of Papas. She tracked him down in the Ministry and managed to sneak into his room one night.
When asking her how did she manage to fuck with him, given his age, she just responded “Dick didn't work well anymore, but damn me if the man can still use fingers and tongue!”
She had a personal chart of the Papas, which looked like this:
Primo: definitely too old to have a proper fuck, but the best with tongue and fingers.
Secondo: the biggest dick of all. Dominant, strong, perverted. The drawback was that he was often too drunk; a few times, he even drifted off mid-action.
Terzo: a pretty average dick, but totally compensated by his twisted kinks and his romantic ways. He definitely knew how to treat a woman, while he was a total whore with boys and Ghouls. Funniest sex, especially in group, but better not to trust whatever he said during it. He just forgot the moment he came.
Copia: she fucked with him both as a Cardinal and as a Papa; even though she had been one of his selected partners for a bit, she first got the impression he preferred boys, to the point she thought he was just gay. Big dick, a shame he was so shy now. A wasted potential.
Needless to say, Papa Nihil is definitely off-limits for everyone.
You spend nights awake in her dormitory listening, along with the other girls, to her stories and hoping to reach her success and confidence.
Copia is only the first Papa you had been with.
You love your friends.
“Have you seen my panties?” One of them is now calling you while you have your hand busy into Cardinal Anthony’s pants.
“No, honey...”
“A ghoul wants to smell them while we fuck.”
“I haven't seen ‘em, but here, take mine.” you grab the panties on the floor near you and hand them to her, keeping the rhythm of your hand on the cardinal. You know the Ghouls can easily smell the difference but you’re sure that will not be important on that occasion.
“Thank you, love.” and she leans to kiss your temple before leaving with your panties.
The orgies are an integral part of your daily routine. They serve not only to celebrate Satan’s - and yours - lust, but also to strengthen your bonds with your siblings and hierarchy figures, as well as to explore yourselves and your boundaries.
Although some might say that is a mere exploitation of the Sister’s body, to all of you it is an empowering expression of freedom. Every participant holds absolute autonomy over their bodies and choices. You have the freedom to accept or decline an invitation, to select your partners, and determine the duration of your participation. In this environment, all forms of unions are not only allowed but encouraged. You never felt so safe, and you are grateful you had your first sexual experience there, in a safe and controlled environment.
No longer after, another voice distracts you in the middle of the encounter.
“Once you’re finished here, take a shower and come to the kitchen.” An older Sister instructs, standing beside you as you ride the cardinal with moderate emphasis.
“Why?” You ask breathkessly.
“He wants you to serve his dinner in his room.”
“Who?”
“The Papa, sweetheart.”
“Papa?!” you burst into the biggest grin.“Yes!” you scream while riding even harder the cardinal under you, “yes!” and the thought of him fills your mind while you lose yourself in the overwhelming orgasm.
Not long later, you stand in the kitchen, fully prepared, patiently awaiting the moment to deliver the tray to his room.
You look down the tray: a salad, some fruits, a yogurt and a juice brick. All cold food. You smirk, your mind already awash with enticing fantasies.
Once more, you find yourself standing before a wooden door, tray in hand. It feels like a déjà vu, but this time, the wooden door leads to his chambers.
Less than an hour before, you had quickly cleaned yourself after the intercourse with cardinal Anthony and had run, still naked, to your best friend, who was blowing a ghoul.
“Papa wants me to serve his dinner!”
She had gestured you to wait one second, her mouth obviously full. Once done, she had just said “What?”.
And you had set another bet.
This time you needed to come both to win it. Full sex. You couldn’t wait.
Once more, you present the tray to the Ghoul and knock on the door, glad to hear his voice again after months, allowing you to enter.
"Your Unholiness," you greet him, a touch more confident than your last visit but still carrying a hint of insecurity from the time apart. "I've brought your dinner."
"Thank you, dear," he utters, his attention momentarily absorbed by his work at the writing desk. After a few moments, he shifts his gaze toward you. He's donned a pair of reading glasses, which he removes before rising and moving to the grand dining table at the center of the room. The place exudes opulence, adorned with a lavish predominance of gold that glistens with every source of light.
Everything within it seems so precious, and you can't help but imagine yourself surrendering to Papa's expert hands while leaning on that table, surrounded by all that opulent gold.
He appeared to be busy but you really can't tell with what. He gestures to the table, "Leave it here," he calmly instructs. There's a perpetual aura of solemnity that surrounds him, making you feel small and fortunate if he merely spares a glance in your direction.
You do as instructed, carefully leaving the tray where he indicated. You're now close enough to catch the faint scent of his cologne. Today, he's dressed in a somewhat more "casual" manner, wearing a decorated black cassock.
"It's good to have you here again," you express, allowing yourself to inquire, "How was the tour, if I may ask?"
"Very thorough, but successful indeed. We had a very positive response," he replies.
"Me and the other sisters watched some videos… you've been amazing," you share, with a certain admiration.
“Oh, you have? How nice.” you feel relieved to see his little smile again every time he says something. “How is it going here? Did you girls behave well?”
"We had a couple of LaVeyan's rituals, I’ve done the altar once!" you exclaim with excitement.
"Ah, really?" He seems pleased to hear that. "I know Secondo loved LaVeyan's rituals. I'm glad you're carrying on the old traditions."
He then glances at you standing beside the table. "But please, have a seat," he invites. "I don't want you to stand there like that."
Now, you're feeling noticeably more confident. He appears much more approachable than the first time you were alone with him. As you sit at his table, you gather the courage to ask, "How are you, Papa?" but almost immediately wonder if "Papa" might be too informal of a name to use.
However, he doesn't seem to mind. "Content, but tired... hopefully I'll have a little break from my duties now that the first part of the tour is over."
"Time to relax a bit..."
"Yeah... time to relax."
For a moment you stare at each other with complicity, and then you add, "I've known you specifically requested me to bring you dinner..."
“I may have.” he confirms. He rubs his fingers before continuing “You seem like a… colorful distraction to have around.”
You smile, surprised by his tender words. "I'm happy to know you still remember me,"
He smiles briefly and glances away, seemingly a bit embarrassed by his own thoughts. "Sometimes... you came back to my mind during the lonely nights after gigs..."
You can already see where this conversation will lead. "I hope there were good memories."
"You left me with a good memory, indeed."
"You too..." your smile transforms into a smirk. It seems like the time for small talk has come to an end. "...and with a good taste."
“Actually…” and he pauses, as you slowly pull up the skirt on your thighs, progressively folding the fabric in your palms to expose yourself before his eyes, legs slightly apart. He looks down on you, interested, looking away after a few seconds, moving his tongue inside his mouth before continuing, “Well… You really don’t like to wait, little girl.”
You can only smile and bite your lower lip with joyful anticipation. “Why wait when time is already so little…”
He tilts his head, raising an eyebrow as if hit by those words. “As I was trying to say, I thought that last time we met, we only focused on me… maybe it wasn’t really kind of me to send you away without some… proper care.”
“That’s very nice of you…” you say. Leaning forward, you add, "May I come closer? This table is so large, it's hard to hear you."
As you stand up, your skirt gracefully falls to your legs. You move to his side, circling the table. Now standing in front of him, you create a smaller space between his chair and the table. He looks up at you, and you continue, "I was impressed by your stage performance, especially with your… fingers… and the thrusts…”
Copia chuckles, recalling the scenes he did during the heatwave of the shows.
"I wonder if you could show me in person..." You take one of his hands from the armrest and guide it lightly to your chest.
“Yes, I like… to use fingers…” and he timidly opens his glove covered hand to caress your breast, softly and hesitant. “I must say… you know how to start a fire.” he considers, pushing his hand on you a bit more, feeling your nipples wake up when he squeezes it, once again letting himself ignite by the growing excitement.
You smirk, looking down at him. You take off his glove, then slide his hand down your torso, until you reach your groin. He massages it through the fabric of your habit, but again you lift up the skirt, and his fingers finally get in contact with your bare skin. He starts by timidly caressing your inner thigh with the back of his index finger, while you start to breath heavily already.
He must find it so easy to casually slide his thumb up and down your clitoris, already wet. The other fingers lightly touching the area of your well lubed entrance. He’s still timid, looking distractly away, but when he looks at what his hand is doing he can’t help but release a heavy breath, his eyes darkening in desire.
You moan, your head rolls back with a step backwards, stopped by the edge of the table. Your hands grab the wood at your sides while you move to sit on it.
He then pulls the chair closer, and you have a silly realization of what he really meant by having you serving his dinner.
“Can I, sister…?” He asks, looking up at you, his hands already on your thighs.
“I bet you must be hungry…”
A smirk, and he disappears under your skirt to finally start enjoying his meal. You don’t see it but you feel what he is doing. You really feel it, and you remember why you like older men, thinking how many girls they have licked to gain their experience. He really seems the type who doesn’t really know how to start, but once in action he doesn’t hold back at all.
He’s patient, precise, moves his tongue with experienced technique; not in that fast, fidgety way the young priests and Brothers, and even other Sisters, do; his laps are soft, long and warm, just like he was eating a melting ice cream, licking all directions to prevent the cream to slide down… he licks you like he really loves doing it.
And he loves to delve his tongue deep between your labias and hear you panting while you move your hip towards his face, immersed in the warmth of your thighs.
All of a sudden, he speeds up, and that warm stimulation of his tongue moving quickly on your clitoris makes you almost jump.
You instinctually raise a leg and put your foot on the chair armrest, guided by his hand, gently pushing it to open you up a bit more.
You need to hold on something so you reach to his head, running your fingers through his now partially silver hair, gently guiding him when you need him to push more against you. The only thing you hear is wet sounds mixed with yours and his soft moans, which makes your whole body pulse and tremble.
At the end, when you start to run out of breath and your leg vibrate for the pleasure, he decides to stop, leaving you breathless and slightly disappointed.
Copia stands up, and that move alone is enough for you to flinch and gasp with anticipation. Despite not being exceptionally tall, he still towers over you, even as you sit on the table, and you look up to him, lips parted, impatient to feel his big hands on your waist and his mouth on you again. That’s what he does, grabbing your waist to pull you closer. In his face now, you catch a glimpse of the fierceness he shows on stage. You are his audience now, and he knows the power he got on you. If he were to ask you to bark, you'd already be on all fours, ready to give him your best performance.
You hope for it a little.
But instead you moan to the sensation of his covered erection against your nude, sensitive skin, while he takes advantage of your open lips to surprise you with a deep, passionate kiss, pushing between your legs even more. You taste yourself on his tongue and lips.
He hesitates for a moment, as if struck by a sudden thought.
"I don't want you to think I'm only using you…," he whispers against your lips, a hint of reconsideration showing on his face.
"You can use me any way you desire," you respond.
"Don't say that," he says softly before kissing you, his thumbs caressing your cheeks.
Before you can even expect it, you find yourself heavily panting to the sudden sensation of fulfillment that his two fingers pushed deep inside you provide. His head is hidden on the curve between your neck and shoulder, easily deepening inside you, curving his fingers in search of your point, then going out and in again, faster and faster.
“Please, Papa... I need more…” You manage to whisper with broken voice, following his rhythm with your hips. “Please…” and you remove your cap, finally freeing your hair. He grabs it, pulling you to him for a greedy, wet kiss while his expert fingers keep pushing inside you with no mercy.
Time to take the lead, so you reach his cassock to unbutton it under his curious eyes.
“Oh, Sister…”
You hear him grunting in your ear, muffling his moans through your hair, never daring looking at you while thrusting between your legs, with his cock in your hand.
With a little help he finally slides in, one hand on the table and the other on your hip, gasping and pushing in with all his strength.
The thrusts you had seen him do on stage are now pushing him as deep as he can in you, proving that’s not only stage acting. In a crescendo of your voices, him grunting quietly and you panting like a dying maiden, with high pitches whenever a well assessed thrust mercilessly hits your spot.
In the meantime, you frantically touch yourself on the clit, feeling him reaching his limit. His last pushes, the hips rotation and the crack in his voice give you the adrenaline rush you needed to reach your pick too, and as he greedily slides his tongue between your lips at the end, it is enough to come, resting your head on his shoulder, panting heavily in his ear as the orgasm shakes you for a few moments.
He holds you even tighter in his last spasms, feeling his desperate grip on your back, his hips tiredly moving for the last time before climax shakes his entire body, exhaling one last, exhausted grunt, leaning his neck over your shoulder.
“Wow…” you can only say, trying to catch your breath again. “You should spend more time with us… you’d make all us Sisters so happy.”
He shooks his head, chuckling “I’m not Terzo or Secondo…” he says with a tired smile “And you Sisters certainly have way more productive ways to spend time…” he finally falls on the chair, relaxing his limbs on the armrests while you fix yourself up.
If you could see his cheeks tinged with a light pink beneath the paint, you might notice how he appears even more tender, regardless of his role and age. “I’m not what I used to be anymore, I’m afraid you girls are way out of my league now, eheh.” and that little jiggle while he brushes his hair back with his hands reminds you how much you love him.
He takes the plate of salad and positions it in front of him on the table once you get down. Some leaves have fallen onto the tray, and the juice box now rests on the side. He doesn't even look at you as he distractedly asks, “So, did you win this bet too...?”
Voices really run fast through the Clergy.

Sofia the First Season 4 in a Nutshell
Oh boy... Season 4. The one with the Wicked Nine story arc.
youtube
Day of the Sorcerers - 1/10
For some inexplicable reason, the writers wanted to redeem Cedric and finish off his story arc of being a villain, DESPITE 3 ENTIRE SEASONS OF HIM CHANGING PASSIVELY OVER TIME AND BECOMING A GOOD GUY AND A GOOD TEACHER TO SOFIA AND THE CHILDREN, BUT NOPE WE GOTTA HASTILY CONCLUDE THIS CHARACTER ARC. SO LETS HAVE HIM TAKE OVER THE KINGDOM AND ACTUALLY NEARLY SUCCEED ALL BECAUSE THE BILLY WEST WIZARD AND A BIRD PERSUADED HIM WITH VERY LITTLE CONVICTION. Its fucking hilarious cos at the third act, all it took to get Cedric to stop usurping the throne was Sofia giving him a glare like a child angry at her dad for not picking her up from soccer practice. And despite nearly taking over the kingdom, Cedric gets a second chance thanks to Sofia and her mum and everything just goes back like nothing happened. WOW ITS ALMOST LIKE THIS WHOLE EPISODE WAS COMPLETELY FUCKING POINTLESS.
The Secret Library: Tale of the Eternal Torch - 2/10
Remember, kids. If you have a history with invaders constantly trying to take over your home at every opportunity, befriend them! Its always good to share your land, even though its your land by right! Thank god we're dealing with dragons here not people, otherwise this wouldve been REALLY FUCKED UP. I mean this is fucked up, but still.
The Crown of Blossoms - 9/10
Finally, an episode that didnt make me wanna gouge my eyes out! A wonderful lesson about not using other people's valuable treasures for a festival and you should rightfully give it back to them. Even the boring Clover being greedy sideplot doesnt bother me.
Pin the Blame on the Genie - 0/10
Oh great, another episode about the Culturally Fucked Up Genie Police and the kid genie getting needlessly harassed and villified by the public all because of one racist wizard's opinions. Btw its established that the Genie Patrol have prison cells for misbehaving genies, WHILST THEYRE IN THEIR LAMPS. So its a prison within a prison. WTF?!
The Mystic Isles - -5/10
So, this is the famous Mystic Isles special...Honestly, for a world that's supposed to be where all magic originates, this is pretty dull. Like isn't the world of Sofia the First already magical as fuck? There are magical creatures everywhere in Enchancia, what makes this place so special? Also I really dont like the alicorn Skye, his oldtime medieval mannerisms get older after 5 minutes and it really feels like the show one-upped poor Minimus, since he was Sofia's first flying horse. Oh yeah and Sofia wants to be part of the Crystal Justice League or some shit, cos we need SOMETHING for our main character to do!
The Mystic Isles: The Princess and the Protector - 4/10
A tough fairy named Chrysta becomes Sofia's mentor into becoming a glorifed cop for the EverRealm and because she has this preconception of Sofia being this spoilt snob because she's a princess, Chrysta proceeds to not teach her anything and snark at Sofia throughout the majority of the episode. In any other series, this would be hilarious but here, I just feel sorry for poor Sof. I really grew to like Chrysta later on but this was NOT a good first impression.
The Royal Dragon - 6/10
Crackle and Sofia in Spyro form joins a dragon summit and the former fight with her egocentric rival in order to get people's attention cos her rival always steals people away from her before she can even make friends. Ngl I was expected to hate this episode but it was worth it to see that Crackle's rival is just as insecure as she is and made up half her boasting was made up so people would be friends with her. Also Sir KMR the Knight appears again to play schoolyard pranks on a bunch of dragons cos he's a petty bitch lol
The Mystic Isles: The Mare of the Mist - 6/10
Minimus is understandably pissed off that Sofia arrived with a brand new alicorn TM as her new best friend and tries to string along both of them on her new mission to find this mystery horse for a test. I dreaded this episode was gonna go with Sofia gaslighting poor Minimus into thinking Skye is the better companion and he should deal with it. But No. Sofia couldnt even finish her test cos the mystery horse she was looking for chastises her for not considering Minimus' feelings and favouring Skye over him. I like that, it really puts Sofia in a humbling position and helps her realise how important Minimus is to her.
Through the Looking Back Glass - 9/10
Its a good Cedric episode so its already a step up and we get to see Calista again, which is always fun. We find out the actual reason why Cedric has had this reputation from everyone, especially his sister Cordelia, that he was this bungler who would never amount to anything, and its revealed to be a completely accident which Cordelia forgives him for and apologises for all the teasing and petty rivalry she had with him over the years. Its a very sweet victory for Cedric and I honestly wish THIS was the final episode of his character arc than Day of Sorcerors cos it really shows how much he's improved as a person since Season 1 and that he doesnt need to take over the kingdom to prove his worth. Side note: I love how Sofia and Calista team up to clear Cedric's name and its cute to see Sofia act like a big sister to Calista.
Princess Jade - 8/10
Wasn't expecting a non character like Jade to get her own spotlight episode but here we are and its really sweet! I love how Jade was originally excited to go to Royal Prep to be with her bestie Sofia when they found out Jade's a descendant of royalty but quickly grows to hate it when she realises she'll never see Ruby or any of her village friends that much anymore, her entire life is changed upon this revelation...AND THEN WE GET A FUNNY AS HELL SIDEPLOT WITH AMBER BECOMING A MASTER ARCHITECT. Why wasnt this an entire episode alone about Amber being into architecture, that is wicked cool?!
Ivy's True Colors - 0/10
Ooo, the villain Princess Ivy's getting a redemption? Skip
Too Cute to Spook - 10/10
And we now return to our scheduled programming of serotonin-filled spookiness cos this time Sofia, Lucy and her toxic witch friends are doing trick or treating and Calista wants to join in but they dont want her to join cos she's too adorable to be scary and they're worried she'll "cramp their style." But Calista just wants to have friends and make Sofia happy. Man, I miss when Sofia the First episodes were like this.
Pirated Away - 8/10
After crashing into a pirate ship by accident, Miranda, Sofia and Amber have to help a bunch of geographically challenged pirates find a golden figurehead so Sofia and the family can see a meteor shower along the way. We get to see Miranda being a bad ass mum, Amber learning to respect her mother's word and have a heart to heart talk with her and a lesson about just fucking listening to people.
The Mystic Isles: The Falcon's Eye - 5/10
Oh goody, another Mystic Isles episode and this time, Sofia has to search for the Wicked Nine, a bunch of magical items belonging to the greatest Disney villains of the past to stop the villain from the Mystic Isles special, Prisma from gaining all their powers. Cos apparently Sofia the First really needed a daedric artifact storyline.
The Mystic Isles: The Great Pretender - 4/10
youtube
The Mystic Isles: A Very Mystic Wassalia - 7/10
Okay, the fact Chrysta has spent the whole of Christmas with Sofia doing protector tasks in order to distract herself from her incredibly lonely life cos she has no family or friends to spend the holiday is truly sad. I really felt for her when Sofia rounds up everyone in the Mystic Isles for a Christmas party. Just...awwww.
The Birthday Wish - 10/10
Sofia has a shit birthday so she wishes for a redo of her birthday and she gets it...40 times over. Yknow that segment with Huey, Dewey and Louie in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas? Its basically that but with Sofia slowly going insane. The biggest highlight is definitely Sofia getting more exasperated and pissed off with each repeat. Its so rare to see Sofia mad or even angry cos Sofia's a very grounded kid who's got a big heart so seeing her being pushed to the limit is hilarious. And as always, there's a good lesson about looking on the bright side of things, which is especially true since Sofia still had a pretty good party to begin with, despite how chaotic things got.
In Cedric We Trust - 8/10
I feel like this whole episode was an apology for Day of Sorcerors cos this ep tries to address the fact Cedric nearly usurped the throne a few episodes ago and Roland's not happy about that. But unlike a lot of kids shows where the villains make shoddy attempts to atone for their actions and the characters just immediately forgive them without any repercussions, Cedric is nowhere near the levels of vile monster levels of Starlight Glimmer or Catra so im a lot more on board with Cedric's redemption cos he's got a far better track record of being a good person than any 2010s redeemed villain combined. Also Cedric earnestly trying to restore Roland's trust not just to get everyone to trust him again, but also because the two shared a friendship together when they were children is very sweet. I kinda wish that was explored a lot more in the show earlier. I wouldve loved more Roland and Cedric bonding.
The Mystic Isles: A Hero For The Hoodwinks - 5/10
Clover wants to be a hero like Sofia so he pretends to be one after hitching a ride to the Mystic Isles and manages to garner a fanbase of flying hedgehogs. Trust me, its not as exciting as it sounds.
The Mystic Isles: Undercover Fairies - -5/10
Another boring Chrysta episode, this time its about Chrysta having a bad experience with other fairies cos they all thought she was too rough and tough and not delicate enough to be a fairy. I mean, good for Chrysta to embrace her femininity but I really dont care at this point.
A Royal Wedding - 10/10
Aunt Tilly's wedding? Okay sure, but what if there was a main plot where its revealed Amber is actually the heir to the throne, not James, causing him to have an identity crisis and immediately tries to humilate Amber in front of the whole reception but nothngs working cos James still thinks Amber is her season 1 self, not her current self who's mastering all her royal duties like a pro and not caring about getting her dress dirty. So he accidentally summons a sea monster, which causes havoc at the wedding and can only be calmed with the promise of cake. So Amber, Sofia and James work together to stop said sea monster and the twins reconcile, James makes up for his actions and Amber dubs her brother First Knight. A heartwarming episode with a dash of crazy shenanigans thrown in. Finally, James gets a good story right before the show finishes.
The Royal School Fair - 3/10
Its nearly the end of school for Sofia and the gang but the former doesnt know what school she wants to go to after finishing Royal Prep, so everyone tries to get her to join their personal fave school rather than one of them sitting down with her and actually working it through with her. Oh and for the cherry on top, Amber signs Sofia up to join a school WITHOUT HER CONSENT and despite being called out for it, Sofia decides she wants to go there anyway. OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE. WRITERS, YOU HAVE ONE JOB, DONT TEACH KIDS TO BE COMPLACENT WITH PEOPLE'S BAD BEHAVIOUR.
The Lost Pyramid - 4/10
Sofia and the gang are exploring the inside of a pyramid, where they have to rely on different senses other than their eyes to solve the pyamid's riddles? Nice! A blind princess who's also an archaeologist?? THAT IS SO FUCKING METAL I LOVE THAT AND OH MY GOD, HILDEGARDE. GO AWAY!
Return To Merroway Cove - 2/10
"Remember, kids. If your parents are infantilising you and don't think you're capable of handling more difficult tasks, prove them right! That'll show 'em! Wait..."
The Elf Situation - 8/10
Sofia encourages James and Amber that just because a peace summit is looming over them and that they're trying to prepare being future monarchs with newfound responsibilities, doesnt mean WE CANT HAVE FUN. And she's right! You guys are in your early teens, enjoy life while you can before the ! Btw i love how 3 kids managed to solve a years-long rivalry with two elf clan leaders in one afternoon when the king took years to get them to reconcile but to no avail lmao. Especially when the two elf leaders in question were mostly petty squabbling and got along the moment someone suggested to do something fun. See, Sofia's always right!
Forever Royal - -6/10
The sheer mood whiplash from an absolutely wholesome first act that wouldve been a great bookend to the series with Sofia graduating Royal Prep, Amber training to be queen, James becoming a full-fledged knight in training and everyone in Enchancia is all coming together to celebrate how much our main character has grown over the couple of years...only to spend the last two acts of the special hastily wrapping up the entire Wicked Nine story arc with a brand new villain instead of the one we've been building up over and the season, complete with higher stakes, a world-ending threat and ending with Sofia defeating said villain like a Kingdom Hearts cutscene spiritually reminds me of this
youtube
CONCLUSION
Oh boy this was a difficult season to get through. S3 had a weird story arc with the Secret Library, but at least that wasnt NEARLY as intrusive as the Wicked Nine arc, where it clearly felt like Craig Gerber tried to crowbar it into the season, especially for how out of place the usual episodes are. Craig said in one of his podcasts that the Wicked Nine was meant to be a serialised story arc for the whole season but Disney shot him down, saying that it'll be too complicated for a pre-school show. And honestly, I fully get behind Disney on that. But Craig had enough creative power to jam that shit in so we're stuck with a boring ass daedric artifact plotline that meanders until the finale, clogging up what couldve been a decent season to wrap up the series.
Still, apart from that awful last season, I really recommend Sofia the First. It's such a cute, fun show that has its problems and defnitely isnt for everyone as its very straightforward in its themes. But if you like musical numbers, silly characters and cute saccharine stuff like me, you'll like this show just fine.
Peace out, bitches

over the river and through the woods
Tumblr media
a/n: sorry this took so long! i just had a random thought about winter activities with corey and just had a need to feel the void 😂🖤
"So you're going to sled down this hill and somehow miss that frozen river down there?" Corey raised his eyebrows in question, eyeing the river behind your house that had now frozen over with the cold front that had blown in.
"Well, yeah, I mean that's what snow is for. We have to do this at least once." You persuaded, grabbing the classic red sled that was propped against the front door.
You began pulling on your new gloves and hat that Corey had bought for you. He prided himself on the fact that he had picked them out and bought them on his own. He even had a custom scarf ordered for you, which was still laying on the couch.
He picked it up and wrapped it around your neck, draping it over you shoulders to complete the puffed marshmallow look as you pulled your parka on.
"Didn't think you were gonna just walk out without your scarf, did you? I'm not gonna let you turn into a popsicle." He scolded playfully, still unsure about your current want to go head first down the hill.
"Oh yes, of course! However, could I ever forget my most precious scarf? Y'know my boyfriend got it for me." You winked, wrapping the woven fabric around your neck.
Corey stood back, still taking in the view of the hill that you were about to dive down, not sure of how he could stop you.
Then a thought occurred to him, if you can't beat them just join them.
"Okay, well, your boyfriend is coming with you." He grabbed the sled that you had leaning against the front door, propping it back against the frame when he realized how cold it was.
"Definitely might need a jacket."
A knowing smirk played on your lips. You grabbed the sled from the door and ran with it, darting past him only to slip and slide on the iced over porch.
"y/n! You do realizing it's freezing outside!" Corey stifled his laughter as you managed to catch yourself on the railing of the stairs.
He stopped laughing though whenever he heard sniffling and all but broke his neck to get over to you only to find you laughing so hard that you were crying.
"Oh no it's not freezing out here, not at all Core." You teased, letting Corey lead you down the stairs carefully towards the hill.
You put the sled on the ground and climbed onto it, patting the empty space eagerly for Corey to join you.
Corey had never done this before, ever. As a child, he watched other kids, toting their sleds down the hill to race in the snow but his mother said it was too dangerous for a boy like him.
This was him healing his inner child as you liked to tell him.
"Ready?" You smiled back at him, the wind already creating a soft blush on your cheeks. Well partially from the wind.
Corey wound his arms around your waist and held on tight, nodding in answer to your question.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
As soon as he gave the okay, you reached out and pushed your mitten against the soft pillowy snow and down you both went.
The wind whipped against your face and you could feel Corey's grip tighten on your waist as you both plunged down the hill.
This was the childhood that he was robbed of. Little moments in the snow, having the time of his life just enjoying existing. That was definitely a concept.
A huge grin spread over his features as he started to laugh, you couldn't help but laugh with him. Tears stung at the corner of your eyes, preventing you from seeing the path in front of you.
"Oh shit, y/n! Go to the left!" Corey leaned you both to the left just in time in enough to brush past a tree finally landing just next to the river at the bottom.
Corey breathed in a sigh of cool air, relieved that you both didn't crash into the tree and didn't land in the freezing river.
He was still in disbelief that you guys were doing this. It never occurred to him that something so simple could be so much fun.
Your hands reached down in the moment and without a second thought you grabbed Corey's large hands and placed them on your chest.
Corey burst out into a loud chuckle that could be heard down the block. His face heating up against the winter weather. "What? They were cold." You simply shrugged, a coy smirk playing behind your feigned innocence.
Corey still holding quite firmly onto your boobs gave them a light squeeze.
"Can't let them freeze off, can we?"
"I guess, we can't. But now you'll just have to keep your hands there now that I'm used to it."
"I think I can make that happen." He chuckled lightly, craning his neck to place a kiss against your lips.
The snow began falling softly around you both, as you both lost yourselves in a winter wonderland of your own.
