some details about one of my one piece ocs, Z here i should like draw proper ref of Z soon bc i think abt the little guy often. if i do talk about him more and draw him, i may just reveal his real name eventually

anyway theres really nothing happy about this boy from what i shared and i still have nothing happy. however the reason he even still holds onto life is because of books. he loves reading about adventures, whether the tales are from real journalists or something made up. it inspires Z to continue living on despite being chained down in hell

thats not what i actually wanna talk about, i just wanna talk abt something more lighthearted. while Z does appreciate all the strawhats, the ones hes most particularly fond of are luffy, nami, and robin

not that any of them told their stories, but that those four can really sympathize with Z. nami especially can relate with how Z believes he needs to shoulder everything himself to save his island considering hes only 13 enduring all this pain and suffering-- how he even refused to ask for the strawhats help until things were extremely desperate and that he had to accept that he really was powerless to do anything.

doesnt help that Z's "foster family" fed the strawhats too and how charismatic they are- Z thought that they were completely entranced by them so they wouldnt believe a word a bratty kid would say. and when Z felt completely helpless, he had pinned the blame on the strawhats and wished they never met bc things did go downhill for Z since his arrival

with robin, Z would talk about his favorite book and robin adores how he'd light up talking about it. not to mention him getting really excited when robin said she read the book before and gave him recommendations. (and as a parting gift, she gave Z a book she already finished reading. and it's about a kid his age starting their own adventure and writing everything about their exploits as they travel the world)

and with luffy, i'll admit was p hard to think about as hes not an easy character to write... but hes always been good w kids (AAAAUUUGJWHDIWHDK) and how theyve been inspired by him. what makes it harder to think about is how this kid has ace's face and acted similar to a younger ace. luffy felt a bit uneasy and Z just didnt like him at all. though theyre attracted to each other like magnets so kinda impossible to be separated without being pulled apart. when the strawhats went off to do their own things, luffy and Z somehow come across each other and it's like "stop following me!" / "you're the one following me!"

neither share what adventures they had and neither cared enough to ask. though Z was a little curious about who ace was and luffy bluntly says that theres nothing to know now bc hes dead. Z was about to pry bc ace had to be important to luffy but then again why should he care about this guy? he didnt care much about luffy and he was gonna leave soon anyway so they just left it at that. and as luffy gets distracted by a beetle on a tree trunk, Z suddenly disappears.

at some point though, luffy knew there was something wrong if Z couldnt just leave the place and people he claims to hate. and Z was startled by luffy's sudden interest in him and the island. he wasnt even sure if he could trust this pirate (esp when the 'rulers' were previously pirates !!) but he didnt feel ill intentions from luffy either so Z does tell him about the strict laws of the land which pisses him off gravely bc basically all of the people's freedoms are revoked and have to live a certain way if they wish to even live 👍👍

Z: "dunno why you're interested. you're gonna leave and forget about this hell of an island anyway. theres nothing you can do."

and again, Z cant trust others- especially not pirates. but the more time spent with the strawhats, the more respect and trust he gave. but he never once believed that they cared for him the same

DELILAH is probably my favorite pazzi writer. my goat. this is probably my favorite fic by them, but seriously, pick anything and just read it. something like love is also a fantastic read -- it's not finished yet but maybe if you pace yourself in your reading it'll get updated by the time youre caught up LOL. love their characterization + pacing and the writing voice they use is the most engaging (to me!)

pbaz7 is another fav of mine. i'm actually a big fan of crossing the line even though its a bit older, love their senior night oneshot too -- i'm such a sub paige truther 😮‍💨

The cabin is way-the-fuck-out-there, and Lando's not much for rustic vacations, but he trusts Oscar knows him well enough that he's not properly worried about it.

"Pick me up," he demands when they reach the porch.

"What?" Oscar stops messing with the key and turns to look at Lando with the same confused expression he's been using for years.

"You have to carry me," Lando whacks him on the chest. It'd be a pat normally, but he can barely feel body through Oscar's thick winter coat. Needs a bit more oomph like this. "Over the threshold, proper, like."

He lifts an eyebrow at Oscar, squinting in the low dying light of the sunset. They're going to have to start early in the morning if they want to do any sightseeing in the following days, the way that evenings come so early in the winter. Not that it matters; Lando's got everything he particularly wants to see right in front of him.

"Why not you carrying me?" Oscar gets the lock at last and shoulders through the door. Behind him, Lando can see high peaked ceilings, manicured wood, furry throws draped over the back of a tastefully rustic sofa. His grin ticks up in approval, even though he wasn't worried.

"Because you were never even gonna ask," Lando puts his hands on his hips. It still feels a bit weird on his hand, a weight he's not used to catching on the bit of webbed skin between his fingers. He wonders how it might feel under racing gloves. He wonders if anybody wears theirs that way, during races, wonders why he'd never thought to pay attention before it was too late.

Oscar's breath fogs between them. He looks funny all bundled up. His cheeks are impossibly pinker than they were even the evening before, all flush with champagne and sappy shit like eternal fucking love.

"Alright," Oscar drops his backpack just through the door and turns back with his arms out like he's bracing for Lando to jump into them without warning, "c'mere, then."

Lando slides his arm around Oscar's shoulder and yelps when he's swept up and off his feet, even though he'd been expecting it. They're both giggling immediately, caught up in the absurdity and the leftover mood from yesterday too, probably, stuck like the gooey bits of congealed champagne tangled in the back of Lando's hair where Oscar had missed it in the hotel shower. Distracted by other things.

(They'd laughed about it first, how routine it felt to scrub champagne from behind each other's ears, how it could be like any number of nights, any number of hotels, if they didn't think too hard about it.

"McLaren 1-2?" Oscar had joked. When he'd lifted his arm to shove drippy curls back off Lando's forehead, his left hand had glinted in the bathroom lights just like the shine off a trophy after all.)

Oscar doesn't drop him until they're halfway through the living room, dragging bits of snow all along the clean wood floors. He'd used the side of Lando's hip to bump the door shut, at least, so Lando has no qualms about wrapping his arms around Oscar's shoulders to keep him close when Oscar deposits him on his back on the sofa.

"Lemme get your shoes off," Oscar mumbles against his mouth. He's turning his chin every which way to avoid Lando's lips, but he dips his tongue out every time they catch anyway. "Gonna get the fucking sofa wet."

"Bet we are," Lando licks into the shell of Oscar's ear before he finally lets him up.

Oscar's trying to look unimpressed, Lando can tell, shaking his head and everything, but his eyes are all crinkly and fond as he wiggles each of Lando's boots loose in turn.

While he's at it, Lando props himself up on his elbows so he can swivel his head around and take in the place for real. It's cozier from the inside. Looks like something out of an AI Instagram ad trying to scam people out of their money - there's even a proper fireplace across the way from where they're at.

"What d'you think?" Oscar asks from below. His shoulders are drawn up just a little, one of his only anxious tells. He's got the heel of one of Lando's feet still cradled in his palm and he's massaging little circles into the arch like he's forgotten he's even doing it.

Lando swallows. Oscar shuffles forward just enough that he's properly between Lando's legs where they're hooked over the arm of the couch, and Lando thinks, realistically, that they're never going to get the bags out of the car if Oscar keeps batting his eyelashes from that specific position.

"S'nice," Lando grins. He splays his arms out like he's about to make a snow angel in the fur underneath him, "Real remote."

Oscar nods quick, "You said to pick somewhere where we wouldn't have to worry, wouldn't have to..."

He waves his hand vaguely. It's the one with the ring on it.

Lando catches the fingers between his own and uses them as leverage to drag Oscar back in over him, close enough to put his lips back on Oscar's, "It's perfect."

"Good," Oscar lets Lando kiss him this time, long and indulgent and so deep that their lips aren't even really moving at the end. "You deserve perfect," he adds when they've pulled apart to breathe.

"We," Lando nudges his middle finger against Oscar's wedding band where it's still tucked against against the joint, "deserve things however we want this week. S'the point of, like..."

"A honeymoon," Oscar says, so used to smoothing over Lando's gaps at this point that he just assumes that's what it is.

"Yeah," Lando agrees.

After he's kissed Lando just enough to sate him for the time being, Oscar straightens back up with a sigh. He bats at the grabby hands Lando immediately makes, that same crinkly-fond-unimpressed look back on his face, "Someone's got to go get our things. Unless you're planning to get back up?"

Lando drops back against the pillows in answer, "I guess they don't have people for that here."

Oscar snorts, "There's no other people, mate. Not for, like, a kilometer."

Lando swallows hard, knows it makes his throat bob in a way that interests Oscar, and then lifts his chin up to smile wickedly across his body at him - his husband.

"S'pose that means we can fuck against the windows later?"

The only one I am 100% sure would be Childe having a tone of mobile games for his siblings to play on his phone. Majority of the time he doesn’t even have it one him, it’s with one of his younger siblings.

I SAW THAT POST TOO!! Childe would absolutely have games on his phone, his younger siblings are constantly downloading new things when they get bored so often he sees new apps appear out of nowhere. He sets screen time for them though and investigates all of the apps for their safety as the best big brother he is. Scara... idek tbh. He has TeyvatTube on his phone so Nahida can watch videos. She loves to send him cute stickers too.

Capitano only has games on his phone because you downloaded them. He doesn't even care for the device, it's practically the same as it was bought, he only uses it to contact you. You teach him how to play Candy Crush. He also used voice to text because he's really bad at texting, his hands are too big and he's just not very good at these things in general...

Arlecchino doesn't use her phone much either, and she doesn't have many apps because the kids don't have the guts to ask, and she'd rather them be occupied by more natural means. You however always let the children play with yours. Signora and Columbina have a bunch of shopping apps, they send each other items quite frequently with no other message. Bina also has some kind of music app, and she has an app installed where you can view what your friends are listening to as well.

For Pantalone... his numerous banking apps perhaps...? He doesn't really need to check his accounts anyway but you like looking at them sometimes. And then getting faint immediately after at the amount of zeroes in each one. Pierro's phone is also dry af. He uses it only to send out messages to the other Harbingers and check his email, that's it. Sandrone forgets her phone even exists. Her robots have more fun on it than she does. She has ordering apps to buy parts and sweets from. She also likes to take pictures of her creations, but no one knows that.

Of course, Dottie likes brain games but they're always so easy in the beginning he gets bored and quits. You always have to do the numerous beginning levels by yourself so he can skip to the more challenging ones. You also force Dottore and the segments to get GamePigeon so you can play Crazy 8 together. You like watching them get mad.

Not sure how much you've seen of got but what are your thoughts on show Daenerys?

i've seen the first three seasons and past that my only motivation to continue was tyrion's asos trial scene, so once that was over i dropped it immediately. i think they were doing a more or less fine job with S1 dany even though she didn't appear to have much interiority. i get that it's difficult to adapt introspective characters but there are some things about a character you have to communicate either way and the defining bit about dany is that she's a scared little girl who wishes for a home, which was not really coming across to me. but not unwatchable. S2, however, is bad. that's when dany loses the ability to communicate in anything other than aggressive one liners intended to look good on a t shirt and this is when i began to suspect they had always meant to give her a downfall arc, kind of funny to me that they couldn't pull it off even after having presumably planned it the entire time, but there's no charitable reason to consistently frame her as somewhat hysterical and easily provoked into displays of anger while the men around her are rational and collected (in their defense of slavery!), after that there's a lot of manufactured conflict and bad faith changes to her slaver's bay plotline to make the audience doubt her every action. also, it was certainly a choice to kill all her bloodriders and handmaidens right at the beginning of the second season. anyone who believes her s8 ending was some kind of course correction for the white saviour optics of her storyline should be deeply ashamed, characters of colour have always been treated as disposable bodies on that show and the specific way they achieved the s8 ending was by fully leaning into the horror of the savage oriental horde come to oppress the civilised westerosi landowning class. grey worm should've gotten to kill every westerosi character 🖤
