Carmy as Your Baby Daddy | Social Media AU & Headcanon Series | part one

masterlist | part two now that i've finished my top gun: maverick series, it's me i'm back and gearing up for season two. after a bout of food poisoning, i finally cracked and am writing this pregnancy headcanon that i said i wouldn't bc my ovaries would explode (looking at you @allthefandomstogether). anyways, a huge thank you to @carmensberzattos who pinged many an ideas back and forth about carmy as your baby daddy and screamed into the abyss about this on a friday night. i'm writing this with my main character from the make your heart surrender-verse, but can absolutely read as a standalone piece. posting now because i'm so damn excited but i may go back and add some more things later.

oh and this a headcanon series now so. that part.

carmy as your baby daddy:

sometime after the wedding, you and carmy decide that you're ready to start a family. you're not trying but you're not not trying, meaning you've gone off of birth control but you're not carefully monitoring your ovulation cycle either. you both figure that it'll happen when it happens and if it doesn't, there are many other ways to make a family.

carmy never really thought about having kids until the two of you got together. after adopting your kitty together, carmy got to see a your more nurturing side and taking care of something together as a team made him think about how much he wants a family with you. after sugar has her baby it really ups the ante. seeing carmy become an uncle is what starts the conversation about seriously starting a family, and every time carmy sees you holding the baby, it's 'when our kids this, and when our kids that' for days after.

you swear it's food poisoning. after a somewhat questionable late night meal, you spend half the night vomiting while carmy works a later night at the restaurant. you text him to bring ginger ale and tums home. of course he comes through because are you kidding this man is a caretaker?!

you insist that you're fine and much better, even though you're absolutely exhausted. things are so busy at work for you (and have i mentioned the pregnancy fatigue) that you don't think much of it when a few nights later, you find yourself kneeling on the bathroom floor once again.

there are always little kids running around at the extended family gatherings and which led to your realization (when you first met everyone) that carmy is surprisingly good with kids.

it's not till a week or two later (after your little bout of 'food poisoning') that you're at cicero's place for a family birthday party that it hits you. one of carmy's cousins (not richie kind of cousin teehee) has just had a new baby with his wife. you've been catching up with ava, richie's daughter because you've become an auntie of sorts to her. you find some time to steal away for a some girl-time but when you return, carmy is holding his new niece/nephew in his arms.

the sight of him holding the baby not only takes your goddamn breath away as he stares long and hard your way, his blue eyes piercing right through your heart, but it's then that you realize that you're a few weeks late. it's like time stops as you look at him, seeing him coo at the baby with the softest look on his face. the realization hits you, clear as day.

"holy shit." is all you say, earning a few funny looks from the berzatto extended family and friends. "carm, can i borrow you for a second?" you and carmy find a quiet place to talk inside. "you okay, babe?" "carmy i think i'm-. what if i-. i'm late." "what do you-? like.. late late?" "now that i think about it, a few weeks late, honey." "yeah?" he asks you, totally in shock and eyes wide. "yeah."

the two of you make an excuse to leave the party as soon as possible, and hurry to the nearest drugstore to pick up a pregnancy test. you wait till you're home to take it. "do you want me to come in, sweetheart?" "no, carmy! i don't want you to watch me pee, you weirdo!" you answer, even though you know he's just excited.

the two of you are pacing back and forth, practically making dents in the floor with your footsteps for what feels like the longest two minutes of your lives. when your timer goes off, you're both simultaneously freaking out about the fact that you're lives are about to change forever, while also really, really hoping for a positive result. and as the fates would have it, the test is positive.

"holy shit. holy fucking shit. we're- you're-, we're gonna-!" carmy is ecstatic as searches for words. "we're having a baby, baby!" you squeal jumping into his arms." "god, i love you so much," he says, grinning at you as wrap your legs around his waist. "i love you too, carm. so, so much."

you literally get the biggest kick out of calling him your baby daddy: to friends and family, coworkers, random strangers, in restaurants, at the gas station. you'll take photos of him at the farmers market and post on your ig story referring to him as your baby daddy because you find it hilarious. carmy doesn't find it as funny (even though he secretly loves it) and he's cherry-tomato red when you tell the checkout clerk at the bodega across the street from your place that your baby daddy is going to pick up the tab.

everyone at the restaurant is so excited for you! even richie cries a little when you tell him the news. you hadn't really gotten close to richie until ava grew super attached to you, which opened up a whole new avenue and understanding for your friendship with richie.

ever since you found out you were pregnant, carmy always has bread and ginger ale on hand for your morning sickness. he started making you your favorite soft scrambled eggs with toast, but the chives have been way too strong of a flavor for a sensitive tummy. it's slowly become eggs & toast and then just... toast, which you promptly apologize for stripping away any kind of artistic freedom he may have previously had.

you get near compulsive cravings for certain foods, and carmy is always ready to throw on a jacket and run across the street when you get midnight cravings.

carmy hates seeing how tumultuous pregnancy has been during your first trimester. he's always ready with a hair tie or a glass of water for when you're done throwing up. okay hear me out: but carmy starting to wear hair ties because he wants to always have one ready for you. he'll even take off a morning with you or call your workplace if you need a sick day just so that he can take care of you. even if you don't need care, he just wants to spend time with you and be there for you while you go through it.

we already know that carmy is an acts of service king. he is the tenderest, most gentle partner and wants to be as helpful as possible. if you're sick, he wants to make you feel better. if the pregnancy hormones are raging against the machine, he's more than happy to let you be upset, or get you off by any means if the hormones go that way too. he'll sit on the bathroom floor with you and rub your back until you need to vomit again. he'll give you the best morning head of your life. he'll run a bath for you when you need one. he checks in every hour on the hour in your first trimester, which you appreciate, but eventually have to ask him to chill the fuck out.

speaking of physical changes, the pregnancy boobs are ELITE. carmy is always there to make you feel beautiful despite your rapidly changing body, esp when your clothes start fitting differently.

the first time your bump starts showing and you point it out to him, carmy cries. or maybe he notices it first and he's just like... weeping and you're like: babe r u ok? and then you realize that you're showing and carmy is kneeling and admiring your baby bump and now you're crying. sorry, but i don't make the rules it's just a fact that this is how it would go down.

carmy is so emotional about this because he realizes that he finally gets to build the family he didn't have and he gets to build it with you.

well this just hijacked my writing plans oops. part two will be more 'you & carmy pregnancy things' and part three will be birth & post-birth.

hey gamers as the resident person who hyperfixates on minor characters I want to talk about Marguerite

first of all i will forever believe that Ava was her gay awakening I’ve said this before I’m saying it again. It makes sense. Ava said she remembers Marguerite dating men, so im assuming it was a slow progression of wow my new coworker is so cool <3 -> i want to spend all my time around her for some reason. huh -> she went on a date or something why am i jealous -> why do i feel more for her than I’ve ever felt for any of my exes -> uh oh.

And now that chapter 37 is out we know from Polly (even though she was probably exaggerating because. she was jealous) that, in her words, Marguerite is still ‘obsessed’ with Ava. And it makes me wonder. Is she still hung up on her sometimes. Does she wonder what might have been. Maybe it was a relief to learn that the multiverse was real bc then there would be a universe where it all panned out like she wanted it to. Like I’ve got zero doubt in my mind that she loves Polly and wouldn’t leave her for anything but like. She still thinks about her sometimes and wishes it all happened a little differently. Also I think that bc Marguerite is just Naturally Silly her poking fun at Ava abt Caspar was just her. Coping with the fact that the woman who changed her life forever is going to be w someone else now

And this also leads into my new headcanon that Marguerite would see the ex as Ava. Like how Bertbert sees her as Leif even though they were never in an actual relationship. Maybe all this is just me hardcore fixating on the one canon lesbian in the show but my god…..

I haven't been into mid since 2020 but its always been in the back of mimd so these are just a few of my headcanons (and when Im calling the group itself, with Ava included, im calling it nook, cause appreantly that's the word for a groups of imps (yes im considering the deamons?, demons? as imps cause imps will have a little place in my spine)

-leif is very fond of children or anyone he considers a child. Like when he said that it was brothers taking care of brothers i felt that he really cares for his old family and honestly i think it would be sweet if he was extremely doting towards those younger then him

-Pierce is so autism

-We love our adhd rhys here. Like i just imagined him constantly shaking his leg and all and asch just putting his hand on rhys' thigh to stop him (Lil rhys/asch shipper here)

-I feel like calling them demons is a little bit on the nose considering (from my personal opinion) that demons at least are from hell or some really disliked place. And we saw that the 'demons' actually came from another planet. If anyone thinks they have a better name for them plz do say

-speaking of their planet:

it has an atmosphere

it has gravity

and its likely a miniscule smaller then earth

Which would explain all of them sudden collapsing but being able to adapt to the planet's gravity as their owns planet's gravity is likely weaker then earths

and also fucking hate the air pollution cause they were coughing as soon as they stepped to earth.

-outside of the nook, the deamons hates physical touch or are greatly uncomfortable by it. However when its eachother then its rather comforting and familiar

-they did my boy Noi dirty geez. He deserves a formal apology from his nook

-Ava's bed is so damn big im sure they all cuddle together there

-when the deamons first came to earth, they kinda had to borrow atleast a few clothes from ava. After that Ava had to go out and buy a bunch of new clothes, but every now and then they will choose to wear her clothes, wether for comfort or just to be a piece of shit

-they wear eachothers clothes too, although pierce has limited option since he's the physically biggest in the group

-Pierce is massive cuddler, like if you have the misfortune of being within his grasp, its very hard to escape depending on who you are.

-we also being a multishiper here because asch has two hands and rhys has two and i think they should hold hands with pierce.

-leif has c-ptsd from the time his old family exiled him to asch sparing him and will have continues nightmare about which is why de doesn't exactly like to sleep

-pierce can sleep anywhere anytime as long as he has his nook around.

-Rhys is also an insomniack and stays up reading books that ava got for him at the library and ends up often having really deep late night conversations with leif (shhhhhhhhhh their bonding)

-Rhys is more chemistry/science/magic smart while Asch is actually the one who's more laguange smart since I feel that as he's the prince and likely to be the next king he was constantly interacting and having to speak different dialects from people of other nations

Headcanons I've been cooking;

-the paradise theater doing a mystery science theater 3000 bit most days (I'm like 90% sure that its basically the equivalent in their multiverse anyway, oops)

-frank and clementine still tries to keep contact and make visits if even possible anymore. June likes to receive letters and postcards as a loose penpal relationship as proof of their "mad lib situation"

-I feel robbed that June and Ava didn't interact much, they'd have so much fun and nobody would be able to handle these bar buds. Never mind theres probably a reason why these two aren't allowed in a bar together, but I love their raw chaos and hijinks would definitely go on

-Gloria makes the storage closet her room at first but when Caspar gets back, he gives her the main office since she's da b0ss now, she still spends a lot of time camping with her bts wolves making stew for them, its her own therapy

-Leif putting together a game console for the gang when theyre bored, Caspar is the best at retro games surprisingly aside from the fact hes been asking for a pinball machine forever, everyone cracks old man jokes. Mostly David and Ava, his biggest hecklers <3

-eventually they begin to cultivate a small arcade, leif fixes up a few machines for the diner (its free) kids across the cosmos go 'you mean you have to play the game with your hands?? Its like a baby's toy :/" caspar is flabbergasted, Leif just shrugs and goes "i warned you bro" and does more Leif shit

-David plays cod on their designated staff console in the office space in their down time between shifts. Feet kicked up and the lazy fan blowing, do you see my vision? this is the most important highlight so far

-David used to stream sometimes on earth in LA for funsies now and then during lockdown when he wasnt up for running out at night vandalizing the blank canvas known as the streets

-he still talks to his mom and plays catch up even from space despite the time it takes to send messages. David continues to find her drunk calls entertaining (canon anyway) Caspar doesn't really drink alcohol and is worried about the loss of control, I think hes just anxious and insecure about it.

*I don't really think caspar was much of a dick when he drank raising david, he probably was a rambling annoying dad with a shitty attitude that was hard to tolerate. like, okay, old man, we get it the world sucksss stop being so sad and let's play legos and not roleplay the state of the economic decline about it (shh, I'm not projecting gay son and drunk well meaning dad dynamics)

-Ava peer pressures Caspar *only* for celebrations anyway

-micheladas for everyone the next day, some sweet hair of the dog when the various drank theyre able to get their hands on is too much to cope with the next day if they still even have moonshine to spare left

-Leif stocks up on so much fucking hash whilst in Pasadena (as one does stuck in shitty corners of California for hangovers, generalized depression, and dread. hence all the alcohol mentions I'm not promoting alcoholic diner dwellers I swear-) which tbh parallels the way Ava stocks up nicotine from ye old moonshiner imo

♡ - romantic headcanons

Petra loves naps. To the extent that she semi-regularly blocks time on her calendar for a power nap if she knows she’s in for a particularly long day. Once Ava realizes this, blankets start appearing on the backs and arms of every chair or couch Ava has ever seen Petra fall asleep on at the warehouse. (Did Ava enlist Nat’s help for picking good blankets? Signs point to yes.) Holland has what is, at this point, a frankly embarrassing number of never-to-be-sent love letters in various states of completion hidden in a shoebox in her closet. These notes (obviously) contain all of her Sappiest Nate Feelings ™️ and would fully expose all the dreamiest romantic parts of herself that she likes to pretend don’t exist (v delusional of her to think they aren’t obvious 😌) on the topic of not-so-secret sappiness, Leila has SO many doodles and sketches of Morgan in her notebooks, the margins of meeting minutes, etc. I know this is probably going to be obliterated by actual canon, but to me, the first time Del says “I love you” to Felix is totally accidental. he does something that makes her laugh so hard her sides ache, and when she catches her breath, she says, “oh, I love you,” out loud without meaning to.

♥ - family headcanons

canon be damned, Leila has a great relationship with her grandparents and has always spent a fair amount of time with them. This has continued into adulthood. She’s especially close with her grandfather, who inspired her love of cooking (and taught her how to make perfect tahdig). Petra doesn’t want a family in the traditional, married-with-kids sense—never has, really, but certainly not in her current line of work! she’s much more flexible on the marriage part than the idea of having kids, though (so, if that were something that were important to Ava or if she proposed, Petra would be fine with it; she just wouldn’t care if they didn’t, either). Despite her stated lack of interest in children, Holland is the one who broaches the idea of adopting the supernatural orphan who ends up at the facility one day after falling through a portal. (this hc is based solely on vibes/a random thought I had literally years ago; my brain latched onto it and now it’s her canon, I cannot explain myself further.) Del snoops for more info on Rook in the Agency’s databases pretty much as soon as she learns he was also a human liaison for Wayhaven. Rebecca won’t talk about him, and she wants to know everything she can (few things frustrate her more than feeling left in the dark).

∇ - old age/aging headcanons I meannnn this is just (im)mortality/Turning vs Not hcs, yes? Because that’s how I’m taking it :D

Delaney thinks eventually becoming a vampire is more or less a no-brainer decision. I’m not sure when she’ll start making any kind of serious plans, but she might be the only one for whom it’s a very clear and definite “yes, this will happen at some point.” A rare instance in which Petra doesn’t make a purely impulsive decision haha. She absolutely wants to see All The Data on success rates, procedural notes, etc. Of all my twc girlies, she’s probably the one with the most practical concerns/considerations re: not staying human. I think she ends up deciding to go for it(?) Leila is another relatively easy “yes, why wouldn’t I?” with the caveat that she has a bit of an identity crisis afterwards — and especially as the ramifications of her decision start to sink in (friends/loved ones aging, etc.). She won’t ultimately regret her decision, per se, but there will definitely be Some Feelings about it! aaaand I genuinely have no idea where Holland will land. She has the most anxiety about it by FAR. She really struggles with wrapping her head around what the realities of living forever would be like, day to day. (Also, she has a deep-seated fear of choosing immortality and having it force her to learn the definitive point at which people (…okay, Nate) stop(s) wanting her around.) She ends up having a number of conversations with Adam, weirdly enough (she’s definitely least close with him, out of all of UB), about most of her concerns, which is a cool bonding opportunity for them.

How did you actually come up with mayhem x not cup? It seems like such a weird yet canon ship I love it I want to learn more

Oh i actually had art of that ship waaaaay back before posting on tumblr

Made this around the middle of last year. And then i posted this when i first started tumblr (you long-time fishies/followers out there who was with me with my first post might remember this lol)

From all i could remember from my past-self's thoughts, Not-Cup was, from what i imagined, a hollow and black eyed version of Cuphead that appeared in real Cuphead's dream in the labyrinth. Which is waaaaay different cuz in the canon, its actually just the usual cuphead that we know, except evil with toungue. I was wondering why he was in the Tear—was he an anomaly like mayhem? Was he an illusion like ava and black hat? Or is he smth else like i dunno, a future cuphead that is potentially possessed by an ink machine part? (As you guys know, when a character gets possessed by this shit, their eyes turn black like Cog!Holly, Cog!Cala and Instument!boris and sarah. Except the brush with mick tho, i dunno why is that)

But anyway, this question gets unanswered leaving me to headcanon that he is an "actual" character and not just a manifestation or illusion of the labyrinth. Just like Mayhem who we thought was an illusion till she's revealed to be an actual character in the series. (This question regarding Not-Cup is still unanswered lol, regardless of an answer, im still shipping them)

Now, onto the actual question, well i dunno if u ship cuphead and holly (i do) and if you'd notice, witchbrew is (obviously) a parallel of the colly ship. Colly are in the hero side, while Witchbrew is on the villain side. I would love to see an actual couple be villains, it sucks that theyre always single XD. If Cuphead had his Holly, then why cant Mayhem have her Not-Cup, hm? Nah-uh aint gonna let that happen

And then boom! This shit--i mean ship is created. Lol i dunno if this makes any sense 😭

Also this ship has ties with my theory regarding of Mayhem's origin and if there will be a canon origin of her story thats gonna be different from my theory, well, lets say this might just be a small fanon ship that randomly came outta nowhere XD

Regarding their origin love story, it starts with my theory that Mayhem is the future Holly that is fully possessed by the cog when the questers went to the desert (forgot its name) to finf the machine. Cuphead goes desperate and asks help from a part? (Eh, i really havent thought about how cuphead got possessed lol) And then he teams up with Mayhem.

The problem is, Cuphead did it out of love, regrets (regret that he didnt manage to save holly even tho it wasnt his fault), and guilt. While Mayhem got possessed by the Cog due to her previous connection to it that got stronger. So i this ship, its painfully one-sided. Painful truth.

But when interacting, they act a bit like a bickering couple, Mayhem being the terrifying teaser she is while Not-cup is the sarcastic serious one. Tho he sometimes act like the actual Cuphead Dish from the questers. They may also act a bit like the duplicates of Colly in appearance.

Not-Cup likes to help Mayhem mess with the Questers as they try to hunt down and restore the duo.

And as for Chaos the Cat... I dunno where the fuck does he fit in lol

From what i remember i think i had a digital version of Mayhem's Tango? Its burried deep down in the ocean... Btw Mayhem's tango was inspired by the song "You'll be mine (Alice's Tango)" by Chi-Chi. I also had other songs that i associate mayhem with (mostly its just bendy fansongs lol) but i dunno if u wanna hear abt it :/

Hmm I'm still working out a lot of things for all of them, so for now I'll braindump some basic details/profiles. Apologies for this taking a long time, I kept thinking of things I wanted to discuss about my MCs and their LIs, but there's also a lot of things I'm still figuring out.

Jo Hunter (ILITW)

Birthday: April 22, 1999 (I'm pretty sure I wrote down a different birthday for her but I lost it)

Her full name is Joanne. She doesn't mind it, but she prefers to be called Jo because it sounds cooler.

She's a GNC cis gal (She/Her), and very proud of her GNC identity. She's big into "cool guy", "bad boy", and "lumberjack" aesthetics/looks in particular. Of all my female(-aligned) MCs, she probably is also the loudest about her bottom euphoria from the idea of having a penis.

She's straight and possibly polyamorous. Her LI is Lucas, but she also feels attraction to Andy and Connor. Even though I have her and Lucas getting married as the endgame headcanon, I plan to include Andy in that relationship and, at some point, replay with her in an Andy route. I feel like they'd have really good chemistry, what with both of them having a sort of a "cool guy" side to them.

Personality-wise, she's very tough, no-nonsense, has confidence for days, and is so horny-on-main she makes Evie look like a prude (okay maybe not to that level but still); but also vulnerable and open to acknowledging her fears and emotions; and I try to play her as such in the actual story.

She places great value on being able to fend for herself and to be able to do things for herself. Since her parents were away often and she didn't hang out with her friend group as much anymore, she spend a lot of her childhood sort of training herself to be self-sufficient. Yet somehow still burned the mac-n-cheese whenever she tried to make it.

All of her friends survive the game, and she chooses for Noah to become the monster, mainly due to her anger at Noah, and her knowing that Noah wished he'd be the one to become the next monster. At first she felt she could, in good faith, make that decision, but soon she'd start to grow increasingly guilty about it.

She named the baby crow "Qrow", the kitten "Ava Jr", and the skeleton dog "Bonedog". The name for the dog is subject to change.

Of the main group, her closest friendship (besides Jane) had always been with Ava, as both of them tended to stray greatly from typical expectations of femininity. Even after the group split up after Jane's death, she would still have some closeness with Ava through the following years.

Jo and Lucas have this little habit during their interactions where she'll lightly punch his arm and call him "Nerd" and then he'll respond doing the same but calling her "Pervert".

Before Jane's death, Jo and her friends were huge into "Little Einsteins" and always sung the song together. There was this one time in eighth grade, however, when she found some of her old DVDs of the show and tried to watch them for memory's sake, only to break down sobbing during the theme song.

Jo sometimes likes to use that fire axe weapon from the canon story to record herself cutting chunks of wood, lumberjack style. Then she sends the videos to Andy, Lucas, and Connor. For reasons. ;)

In the future, she'll probably adopt one kid with Lucas, and have one kid with Andy via IVF. But I'm still figuring it out. At the very least, they (and Ava) keep Ava Jr. together.

Harper Addison Vance-Fisher (ILB)

Birthday: July 12, 1998

"Harper", "Addison" or "Harper Addison" will do.

She's a genderfluid demigirl, and figured this out somwhere during the ILB timeline. They prefer She/Hers and They/Them pronouns, but doesn't mind He/Him pronouns occasionally. She does consider herself GNC, and a lot of her clothing styles do tend to lean into more masc/androgynous territory. (Also, even though I like the red tank top outfit better, that pink sweater with the grey skirt is also perfect for her cause it's basically demigirl flag color scheme. I'll probably headcanon it as their post-ILB/non-summer casual outfit).

They're bi-curious, tending to prefer guys like Tom and Parker but does also start to have a bit of a thing for Imogen. Tom will likely be her only endgame romance.

Ignore what the canon says. She did not straddle Tom's lap in the photo booth smut scenes. She pulled him into her lap and toyed with his ass, making a mess of him in the process. And they used a strap-on on him in their shower smut scene in the book finale.

Personality-wise, they're a friendly, slightly goofy, slightly flirty sweetheart, who loves to lightly tease others (like playfully embarrassing their brother, or calling Richard Sutcliffe "Dick"), but isn't above beating the crap out of monsters and Dick Sutcliffe. And I try to play them as such in the actual story.

She's very into painting and playing guitar, and is going for an arts major at Terman U (I just now thought it would be kind of cool if she and her family originally lived around Cedar Cove before her parents' death). Often they like to play a soothing tune on their guitar to calm themselves down, and loves to play songs for Tom to soothe or serenade him as well.

They named the otter friend "Parker Jr", the coyote friend "Munch", the owl friend "Bowie", and their pet zombie jackalope "Dipshit" (that word makes me laugh and I love imagining them calling the rabbit "dipshit" in an affectionate manner). All of these names are subject to change.

They have a very touchy relationship with their grandpa after the events of ILB. They want to like their grandpa, especially since he does try to be nice and does regret what he did. But it's also hard to get past what he did to Josephine and the rest of their family.

She and Tom move in together one day, and may or may not get married. Their only child is that giant stuffed teddy Boo-Boo which she won for him at the Lake Day fair in canon, and they're very proud parents.

Cedric Zhao (ILW)

Birthday: October 4 (unsure about the year, I'll have to review the ILW timeline later)

His nickname is "Kitty". His parents used to call him "Ceddie" when he was a baby, and someway somehow it evolved into "Kitty".

He's a GNC Cis Guy (He/Him) and is very proud of his GNC identity. He's pretty much exclusively into GNC dress styles and (like pretty much all of my MCs) GNC sex acts like strap-on stuff.

He's Heteroflexible and Polyamorous. I had him romance Jocelyn through the FWB route, but in my headcanons his heart belongs to both her and Amalia. The endgame for which, I am still working out.

His in-game personality is mostly genuine, with a bit of sarcastic here and there. I also play him as being very seductive and flirtacious. Corrupted!Connor did indeed condemn him for being a slut. But he's a proud slut.

His motivation is Blood (wants to live his life and remain human). Though at first I played him as mostly Shadow, so that may or may not have affected his fate. Speaking of which...

In my playthrough, he got stabbed by Mattyass and failed to save Westchester. Probably cause his nerve score was at like, Rattled. I hope to get a better and happier outcome for him in any possible replays though.

Only Abel died in my playthrough, but I might change this in further headcanons/playthroughs.

short answer is yes! i do, but i think for various reasons.

oh beatrice, i have this headcanon about beatrice, which stems from i think a broader instinct among fic writers generally to say that beatrice is, frankly, a profound and profoundly odd little geek.

ofc i write about her love of physics and space and math and spiders (not projecting whatsoever) but i have this firm (nay, implacable) belief that when she ended up in Switzerland it was, essentially, with the clothes on her back. and her little library of sci-fi novels (obtained during after-school trips to the second-hand bookstore with one of her various babysitters) stayed at home, collecting up dust. 

so beatrice, being resourceful, took the first opportunity she could to visit the charity shop in the nearby village (honestly, coin toss as to whether she full-on snuck out of the school, climbed the railings, marched through the forest for six hours, or if she waited for an approved trip).

& in there, my stupid headcanon insists, she found a stack of books in french & german (mostly random Ludlum novels, a couple of copies of le petit nicolas) and only a handful of books in english. 

two of these were star wars: jedi apprentice novels. the first and the third, to be precise.

so she paid for these - two euros - & carted them back up to the school, where she read them approximately eleven times. after the third repetition of a nervous british teenager rolling up to the charity shop to ask after, of all things, star wars books, the proprietor put out a general call to a couple of friends as far away as Munich.

the next time Beatrice arrived down, having at this point resigned herself to reading The Bourne Identity in german, the proprietor handed her a stack of crumpled, possibly third-hand novels. 

the second jedi apprentice book, and the fifth. 

by the time she left, beatrice had a stack of these books on her chest-of-drawers, their pages yellow from sitting in a slant of sunlight. not quite the full eighteen, but around twelve, read almost to the point of annihilation.

beatrice loved them - loved obi-wan kenobi and qui-gon jinn. the lighsaber duels - which, naturally, she mimicked when left alone at kendo to do suburi. the jedi code itself! you can imagine the appeal. the found family of it all, the holding oneself aloft from anything as messy as love.

i wrote a scene about this in ligaments 5, but i like to think that beatrice, as a coping mechanism, as a kind of stimming, used to braid lilith’s hair in the back of the OCS van after missions.

which lilith tolerated not at all because she’s a touch-starved bitch (no, only because of the look Mary gave her in the rearview mirror). one time, beatrice gave her a padawan braid and Lilith, because she ‘couldn’t be bothered’, kept the damn thing in for almost a year. 

so, yes, beatrice is very fond of star wars. she has never seen the movies but (gestures vaguely in post-canon direction) when she does she of course adores obi-wan even more, and I think Luke Skywalker reminds her powerfully of Ava, and she does not think she’s very like Han Solo but Ava secretly believes that that Beatrice would absolutely make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, though she would disapprove of glitterstim. (Ava says that Lilith is Chewbacca-coded, but not in her company). 

Bea’s favourite star wars movie is probably either Rogue One or The Empire Strikes Back, but I think she has a soft spot (and a critical blindspot) for the prequel trilogy and especially Attack of the Clones (for mullet obi-wan, and just obi in general). 

plus (and she’s right about this) the prequel lighsaber fights are so much better (are obi & darth fighting in glue on the Death Star??) 

she cries possibly the whole way through the Kenobi series. 

Bea is a BIG star wars fan. she loves the message of it, particularly about the smallest people having the potential to turn the tide of violence. i think also the idea that history never resolves into a perfect version of itself; the fight goes on, forever, and is still worth fighting. 

for Ava, she probably saw a really inconsistent scattering of the movies on the beat-up TV in her room back at St. Michaels. aside from bitch-face’s annoying habit of switching the channel in the middle of movies just to be a dick; she also kept falling asleep in the middle of the movies because they ran sometimes late at night.

so, when she finds out that beatrice is a fan - which is let slip very much by accident, bea making an offhand comment with her typical, subtle humour about Adriel’s wardrobe tending towards Jedi Knight. 

so then Ava gets Camila to totally absolutely legally download ‘all the star wars’  - including the books which, yeah, beatrice has to go for a really long jog after being told this - & they watch it together. 

Ava obviously is a little familiar with the movies but now has full context. she loves the podracing scenes, thinks that young obi-wan is veeeery cute (beatrice blushes & does NOT understand why). she likes han solo - of course - and starts unironically calling people moof-milkers for jostling her at the grocery store. her favourite actually is A New Hope, chanting TRASH COMPACTOR SCENE over and over on their third re-watch. but she DOES cry over ‘i love you.’ ‘i know’ because ‘bea that basically happened to us.’ which, yeah, beatrice suddenly not living la vida loca for five seconds about that. 

Ava: only when i got frozen in carbonite you did not rescue me in a skimpy outfit. disappointing. 

Ava: lilith is soooo chewbacca-coded. that’s literally the sound she makes when she’s talking to me. plus she’d totally rip a guy’s arm off if you asked, or if she lost at chess. 

Ava: i’m gonna say that Cam is R2D2. she’s just a little guy. 

i think Ava likes video games so she totally plays Jedi: Fallen Order (& bea watches for the codex entries and because it is objectively funny to watch Ava play video games). MOTHERFUCKING SON OF A PERSON-SIZED SHIT. bea did you see that? i get on this rooftop and there’s like 8 guys, two of them have flamethrowers. plus that stupid gangly robot AND THEN THE TWO-LEG AT-AT SHOWS UP? bullshit. 

Ava: fuck i already have it on easy mode. 

so they both adore BD-1, and both are like… subtly down bad for Trilla Suduri but they do love Cal because he’s such a guy. 

‘just such a guy,’ Ava says, accidentally making him jump to his death for the fifth time in a row.

as for Lilith. they basically have to gaslight girlboss her into sitting down and watching it with them. she pouts, she lounges, she goes through two bowls of popcorn and an improbable number of Cadbury Dairy Milk bars (Cam measured her basal metabolic rate at roughly 3x what it was pre-frankenstein. though only Ava actually dares to call it ‘your frankenstein era,’ because she can survive lilith putting claws through her stomach. lilith doesn’t. say what you will about her but she’s well-versed in taking insults with a thin-lipped smile and the mere promise of violence). 

at first she is very determined not to enjoy herself, but by the time they get to the start of The Empire Strikes back (bea has Opinions about proper viewing order. originals, then prequels, the the one singular only sequel movie which is The Force Awakens) Lilith is watching Luke get body-snatched like Frodo on the very edge of her seat. she watches all of the movies with slightly embarrassing rapture, keeps touching the spot below her occipital bone where her padawan braid used to be.

bea notices, says nothing. 

she gets a little quiet during the Kenobi series because she relates a little too hard to certain characters. she rlly likes the Mandalorian (insists it has nothing to do with Grogu - though she does say that he reminds her of Ava back in the beginning)

Ava: aww u mean adorable & powerful?

Lilith: no, i mean tiny and annoying

she, i think, actually loves star wars in the end almost as much as beatrice. she relates very powerfully to characters like Reva, Trilla, even Revan when she eventually permits Camila to dump her in front of a gaming computer to play KOTOR (and yes, Lilith is scarily good at video games. when she hangs out with Ava - which she does; they get along when they’re not arguing and like to be loud and eat junk food which is not necessarily beatrice behaviour - Ava sneakily sets fallen order on the highest difficulty. Lilith dies a total of four times, most when sussing out the attack patterns of the major bosses).

she literally teleports away at the end of the game instead of dealing with her emotions. Ava’s left watching the credits like ????? did lilith just experience an emotion? 

mary & shannon both know star wars & mary has opinions (mainly about how blasters > lightsabers, and that she’d like to try podracing) but neither of them are as fond of it as the babies. Cam is like… this slaps i guess but she’s more of a ‘watch me play dark souls and weep’ type person. Ava definitely says: that looks easy let me try. and then dies ten times in a row to the lowest-tier enemy in the entire game. Ava baby you are not dark souls material. sorry. :((

anyway! i rlly do think that bea and ava and lilith love star wars. it has a lot to say about struggling against one’s own nature, against the cycle of abuse and oppression, and the importance of hope. a lot of the characters start out lonely, isolated, jaded & come to realise that you don’t have to belong to anything or anybody except the ones who love you. and you can fight for yourself but it’s better to fight for others, too, even when it opens you up to loss.

i am not very far in hacks so as of right now ava and deborah’s relationship is… tumultuous to say the least. i will admit, yes, miguel would be johnny’s ava in this context. they don’t have the same arc at all or the same bond but miguel is sort of this door for johnny into the modern world and all it includes.

in my mind, after his fall from grace (and i will get into that), johnny becomes a bit of a recluse. she moves from the heart of LA to a much more secluded place where she does what canon johnny does at the start of cobra kai, she works for a fixing company and makes very little money doing gigs. she doesn’t live from acting at all, she barely gets royalties and she doesn’t have ANY contact with her old friends and costars. miguel moves in her building where she has never been recognized before. in opposition to the face claims i gave, this johnny has gotten a bit more masc and butch in her older age and people wouldn’t immediately associate her now to the image of America’s Sweetheart Joanna Lawrence who was once in every magazine and was a double sided poster (on one side, johnny with her teased to hell blond hair, posing in roller skates with neon shorts and a shirt that says LOS ANGELES, on the other side, johnny at the beach, playing volleyball in a red bikini. she was everyone’s crush, she was THE sitcom it girl) but miguel does recognise her because he and rosa watch a lot of reruns from the 80´s comedy show she and danielle were in and he tries to befriend her for an autograph.

in doing so, miguel explains to johnny that a lot of people would pay a nice amount of money for autographs, for interviews, anything from this actress that disappeared from the public’s eye. the show back then was extremely popular and the 80´s nostalgia has hit america. johnny, for money but also to prove herself she can be more than what the world has told her, tries to reboot the show as an actress and writer (with miguel’s help) and that is when her path crosses danielle’s once again.

as for johnny’s downfall, there were rumors of alcohol (true), drugs (true), homosexuality (true) and her sleeping her way to the top (untrue and that’s why she was blacklisted for so long). she was arrested at 25 years old for crashing her car inside her manager’s house. it was seen as a coke fuelled accident (but in truth, johnny might have tried to murder kreese) and it completely burned her reputation.

miguel, robby and sam are all around 21/22 here because i admit getting a bit tired of writing high school experiences and also because i love the idea of johnny with a team of writers who are all so young and so social media trained that they have to block her out of twitter so she doesn’t get canceled before she can get back into the spotlight. aisha and tory will also make an appearance (and maybe the binary brothers as well).

danielle, as stated in my first post, is an A list celebrity (think kind of meryl streep ish in terms of legend BUT she hasn’t been filming in a long while). since miyagi’s death, danielle has had a hard time getting back onto the saddle of acting, motherhood is also extremely hard when you’re stuck in an heterosexual marriage as a lesbian, your daughter has fallen into some bad crowds and your son would sell pictures of you to TMZ for fortnite skins if you weren’t already paying for everything. she has been thinking of directing more and more (she has refused to do too much to her face and body apart from some hair dyes and a little botox which means that even if she did want to film, she won’t find a good role) and she has the ambition of maybe rebooting this 80´s comedy show she was once a part of but as a lead and director this time so when she learns that johnny is already on the case, she loses her mind a little.

i feel like im already giving quite a bit away here but im actually very excited to get into writing this!!!

I have "I think all the girls should kiss" disease and it's TERMINAL

In terms of my little headcanoned ot4 tower of babel, they sort of get together in a "hey our girlfriends should kiss,,, we don't have to kiss,, but like we could 👀👀👀 if you're into it" kinda way. They don't go into it expecting to kiss kiss fall in love AND YET. They have this easy not friendship but not-not friendship that means when Ava gets a little tipsy and asks Camila to kiss her it's not a total shock to either of them that it just works.

It's just like. Idk. I think they should kiss. I think they just both genuinely like having someone nearby to see that they're loved. I think whereas it's hard for ava and lilith to connect outside of sex, camila and ava connect better without sex. I think ava finds camila refreshing because her other two gfs don't show emotions on their face at all but camila does. I think Camila would be the most likely to dance around the kitchen with Ava at the drop of a hat (Bea or lil will do it, it just takes way more effort and flirting to make them loosen up), I think cami sets up a vr headset and I think she and ava take turns kicking ass at beat saber, I just think they'd be sweet idk

Ava killing Cornelius was a bad scenario like. Ma’am what the fuck were you thinking

But if we’re still keeping the murder storyline:

She was way too good of a doctor to do that and not know how easily traceable it was and so logically something tells me she wanted to get caught

Give me a rewrite where Ava knew she needed help and knew her manic state/split was only going to end in her or someone else dying

She purposefully got caught and accepted her fate

But a psych evaluation showed the truth

She was deeply trouble and needed severe help and in a moment of clarity after what she did, she recognized she needed help but couldn’t get out of the situation she had put herself in

So if we’re sticking with the Ava killing Cornelius storyline, it would have been so much better to have her live and even given a side plot of her court case and stuff

ALTERNATIVELY

Connor comes to his damn senses and notices Ava’s personality shift and is like hm maybe I should ask dr Charles

Daniel is 👀 cuz we know that man loves a good fucked up case

He has his theories and knows Ava’s attachment to Connor so he proposes a plan

If his theory of Ava having borderline or an adjacent disorder, Connor is clearly her Favourite Person and she would do what he wanted if he promised her he wouldn’t leave her

Connor manages to coax Ava into seeing Charles

He made some empty promises 😐 but it was what had to be done

The first half hour is sat in silence

Until Charles mentions Connor’s dad and the rumours he was trying to spread about him and Ava

And it’s like a switch goes off

She’s screaming and shaking and insisting he’s a no good snake trying to drive a wedge between her and her Connor

And she confesses a lot of things

Including her attempt on her own life during one of her and Connor’s fights

How she can’t make friends in Chicago and her emotions are never “normal” they’re either on overdrive or completely numbed

She explains her hallucinations and mentions she has almost no memories of childhood

Charles can see in her eyes that she isn’t stable and the fear she can’t hide tells him Ava is aware of that fact too

The things she said was enough for him to put her on a 72h psych hold

Which she fought and screamed and pretty much lost it on them

She did have to be restrained and Connor felt so guilty because this was the second time he’s seen this happen to a woman he cared about

Especially when he heard her begging for him to help and promising she isn’t crazy and “I wouldn’t hurt anyone! Please Connor, don’t leave me, please!”

And in the end Ava is diagnosed with BPD and bipolar 1 among other things

Her swings between mania and depression are too unstable and on top of the things she’s said during therapy and threatened when she’s manic she is deemed unfit to make her own medical decisions

Attn Warrior Nun fandom writers! I was fleshing out some post-season 2 headcanons for a one-shot last week and accidentally stumbled into the set up for a whole other fic I can’t stop thinking about but am never going to write myself, so Ima just go ahead and drop it here in the frailest hope that some lovely, talented soul might be inspired to run with it and make my dreams come true:

So here it goes. 

We begin with Lilith. By the end of the season she's effectively burned all of her bridges in service of a master who was eviscerated in front of her, and in the immediate aftermath she seems to be experiencing some capital R Remorse about that - helping Bea to save Ava, watching Avatrice say goodbye, hoping when she and Bea meet next they'll be back on the same side, etc. Where does she go from there? I like to imagine she goes full Angel (in the Buffyverse way, not in the religious way) and takes her penance to the streets. In a cruelly ironic twist, she's now effectively performing the duties of the halo-bearer - utilizing her truesight along with her OCS training to track down the remaining wraith demons and punch them out of the possessed and straight back to hell - except of course that it doesn't feel remotely like fulfilling a lifelong destiny. There's no honor in it, she's just flailing desperately to try and make up for some of what she's done, and to finally do right by Ava. So there she is, out punching the shit out of some wraith demons, when who should wander into her path all full of wraith demon in need of punching?

(Come on, y'all, duh she's alive. Vincent told Lilith Mary's dead like 10 whole minutes after telling her she was alive to save his ass and manipulate her into a trap, and now we're gonna take the fucker at his word? Sure, Jan.) (Yes, I'm aware of the BTS stuff at play, and maybe Toya never wants to go back, I'm just saying, the WN team could not have left that door open wider for her in case she ever does. No body, no proof, no details, just the word of one lying, manipulative sack o' dicks? Be serious now.)

So Lilith frees Mary of her demon and then takes care of her while she recovers. Mary's done some shit while she was possessed and has some guilt of her own to work through, so they trauma-bond, and now it’s really on because we’ve got us a kick-ass demon-fighting duo. Neither of them feels right about returning to the church - especially not with Father Sack-o-Dicks back wandering the Cradle like he didn’t fully murder Shannon, spend the entire first season gaslighting them about it, and then proceed to spend the whole next season attacking, endangering and otherwise fucking with them - but they're sure as shit not gonna stop fighting.

Smash!Cut to that final shot in the epilogue of the finale. Beatrice smiles as she walks away from the OCS, presumably to do what Ava told her and go live her life. I've seen a lot of different theories on what flavor of fluffy lil Eat Pray Love travel/adventure/vacation she's headed off on, and those are all super fun, but for me, man... I feel like that's what Ava would do, not what Beatrice would do. Ava’s loosened her up at bit, sure, but she's still Bea, or at least I still want her to 😏 Bea. (I'm SO sorry about that, I swear it just snuck up on me) We clearly see Beatrice struggling internally all season, and I actually don't think that has anything to do with her feelings for Ava. I think Adriel and Vincent took a fucking wrecking ball to the whole foundation of this mission Beatrice had dedicated her life to. If anything, Ava coming along when she does makes things easier, because it gives Bea something clear and tangible to fight for, but now with her gone, she has to finally reckon with what it is she's doing with her life. Again, there are good arguments to be made for any number of directions that reckoning could take, but I'd like to believe that when the dust settles she's going to find that she hasn't actually lost any of her faith, or her dedication to the fight. She’s still our Bea. She just needs to break from the constraints of these institutions she's at best begun to question and perhaps even become disillusioned with. She needs autonomy, and a new path. And I mean, you’re starting to see where I'm going with this, right? Beatrice can't contain her smile as she exits the Cradle, not because of what she's leaving, but because of what she's running toward - freedom, and her sisters.

TL;DR - in the aftermath of season two, an elite team of tactical former-nuns comes together to fight against evil and for each other.

PPS Obviously I want Camila in here too. But also I’m kind of into the potential for conflict with her taking on more responsibility within the OCS but also feeling hurt/abandoned when she find out everyone’s hanging out without her?

PPS Just spitballing here but hey maybe Jillian Salvius would be interested in employing their services to take down Kristian or undo some of the harm he did with her money or whatever, and ya know, if that were to lead to her joining the team in an Oracle-esque capacity? That could be cool. And if perhaps in time she wanted to work on getting field-trained as well... idunno, maybe Lilith specifically would be interested in training her... (hey! stop looking at me like that! those two had an *energy*, okay? I cannot be the only one who noticed!)

Okay but as a Florence acolyte I also just need to yell about Dream Girl Evil in the Warrior Nun universe.
