How did Blue get his scars, and do any other colors have scars?
So Blue’s scars are interesting because although most are just a design choice that make sense to me given he’s constantly fighting on the front lines, there are some pivotal moments where he gains some nasty ones. I won’t go into detail because I want to write some snippets for scenes like this in the future but his nastiest scar is on his shoulder and runs all the way across it down to his chest. He gets it defending Green after the two of them end up in a really bad situation, refusing to let anyone close despite his injuries and holding his ground until help arrives.
In terms of the other’s they do have a few scars to boast about as well:
Vio has burn scars along his arm that match with Red thanks to an incident where they were trying work together to upgrade the fire rod and things went poorly. They were fine eventually but it gave everyone quite the scare. He also gains dark magic scarring on the tips of his fingers and even has it crawl all the way up his face if he pushes himself too far, but some healing magic or light magic helps clear the worst of those.
Green has a lot of scars on his chest and back, all from either fighting or defending Zelda or one of the other colors. Unlike Blue I haven’t thought of where exactly he has it but he does get a nasty one taking a blow for Blue in the scene I described earlier, which is why Blue has to defend him.
Like mentioned before Red has the burn scars along his arms from the incident but he has many more other than that from having to overuse his fire and ice rods without his gloves on. He almost lost his fingers to frostbite once which is why he got the gloves in the first place.
Shadow’s lack of a physical body means he doesn’t have any scars, unless he wants some.
Have to point out they all have small scars here and there from general hero/knight stuff but these are ones that would stand out!

The Caduceus: Magical Staff of Hermes Talon Abraxas
The Wand of the Magi… 🪄🌟 "... the key to the meaning of the magic wand has been lost. The staff is symbolic of the spinal column of man, and this is the true wand of the Magicians: for it is through the power within this column that so-called miracles are performed. The star of Light at the upper end of the staff is nothing more nor less than the flame that burns eternally at the upper end of the lamp of the true alchemist. This tiny flame is fed by the pure oil of the transmuted life force."
"The spinal column is Jacob’s ladder connecting heaven and earth, while its 33 segments are the 33 degrees of Freemasonary and the number of years in the life of Christ. Up these segments the candidate ascends in consciousness to reach the temple of initiation located on the top of the mountain."
"Connecting the two worlds (heaven above and the sphere of darkness below) is the spinal column, a chain of thirty-three segments protecting within them the spinal cord. This ladder of bones plays a very important part in the religious symbolism of the ancients. It is often referred to as a winding road or stairway. Sometimes it is called the serpent; at other times, the wand or scepter, The Hindus teach that there are three distinct canals or tubes in the spinal system. They call them Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna. These tubes connect the lower generative centers of the body with the brain. The Greeks symbolized them by the caduceus, or winged staff of Hermes. This consisted of a long rod (the central Sushumna), which ended in a knob or ball (the pons of the medulla oblongata). On each side of this knob are wings arched over, used to represent the two lobes of the cerebrum. Up this staff and twisted around it wind two serpents, one black and the other white. These represent the Ida and Pingala." — Manly P. Hall

You saved her from the crashed spaceship in your cornfield, the cut, shortstack, blue, hairy alien girl. She has become indebted to you and promises to take care of you for the rest of your life. She does chores around the house, waters the crops and most importantly feeds you. Her milk contains all the nutrients you need to thrive. The aphrodisiac inside make you horny beyond belief. She offers her body to you. Her anatomy is very similar to humans, so you know exactly what to do. Her belly quickly grows with your offspring and her milk becomes richer, granting you more stamina and vitality, almost as if prepping you for what is to come next. A week later she gives birth to an exact copy of herself, with engorged breasts and thicker bushes of hair. She offers her milk to you aswell. Her milk grants you a second pair of genitalia. Unable to contain your lust, you take both of them at once, while they make out with eachother. You see them growing again, becoming curvier, with silky soft hair sprouting in the best of places. Like natural fertility goddesses, they both give birth to another exact replica, who both offer you their bountiful cream. All four of them thank you for bringing their species back from near extinction and take their rightful place, impaled on your 4 hard as steel rods, and the cycle repeats endlessly.
(This feels like another one of those prompts where the asker clearly has talent and I feel like you should definitely write your own short stories, you absolutely have potential! You've basically written the entire thing yourself just there! I can only continue it to its logical conclusion, as you've defined everything very well, from backstory to the action that takes place initially, later on, the consequences...)
Saving an alien fertility goddess must have been the luckiest day of my life. Every day she makes it worth it, from drinking her milk, to helping breed her to save her population from going extinct. I imagine a horde of 'her' as every time she gives birth, she produces exact copies of herself, almost like she underwent some full body mitosis of some kind. It's like they're a near hive mind too, they all seem inclined to thank me, even if I only saved their mother, or grandmother, or whatever generation we are in now.
Her planet used to have trillions of other blue shortstack, hyper reproductive women like herself, it was such a densely populated planet that it was shocking to see there was only one survivor left after all that happened, or at least the only one I could find.
Their milk must have magical, alien effects on my body that allow me to control my own sexual organs much more efficiently than I would otherwise, as handling dozens, then hundreds of different cocks, having to multitask so much I end up being a one person orgy, one person breeding machine that pumps endless amounts of cum and clones into the new mothers, always striving to give them back what they had, even if it ended up making me even more freakishly huge and giving me even more endowments. With them all being clones of her, none of them actually share my DNA, as it seems that they used to reproduce by having a semen like fluid be inserted into their womb, activating it and allowing it to, through immense amounts of energy, produce a clone of themselves. My cum, there was just so much of it, and it was so rich that it easily cleared that energy cost, making every pregnancy quicker and more efficient the more I grew.
By the time I end up with a trillion cocks though, I feel like there's no point in stopping there... Their population levels went from nearly 0 to a top, record level due to my breeding sessions. I still make sure to breed the girl I saved first and foremost whenever I fuck them, which is pretty much all the time now...
Even if they're all clones of that girl, I still feel a stronger attachment to her, and one day, I'll make sure to shove all trillion of my dicks inside her womb, to give her the biggest, most pleasurable orgasm ever, literally, bloating her to ungodly proportions worthy of a proper fertility goddess. <3

post your tangotek ramblings
you asked for it
Tango (mostly general blazeborne) anatomical ramblings and notes and head canons and stuff . I’m using tango as an example apart from the other head canons which are unique to him
The little like. Legs? Blaze rods remind me of arms, so henceforth my tango design has for arms and to compensate for the other he has an oddly shaped spine similar to a diamond kind of? Blazes obviously don’t have spines but I think they’d be distantly related to withers which Ultimately bleeds into the human/blaze cross aspect of tango. Blazes have white eyes, but tango’s eyes are red due to redstone poisoning (confirmed by tango himself), I think his claw or fingertips would be red as well like Taki dust core mf. tango has an overbite in my design (mid ramble snack and holy shit this chicken is so salty) and he’s definitely a messy eater, like izustumi from dungeon meshi he holds his spoons weird ok
I thinkthe idea of the fire hair is definitely one of my favourite design choices and I can 100% imagine his friends cooking over it. They prolly got booked for open flames a few times which is why the back of tango’s vest in has a fire-proof hood, to hide that feature.
he’s talented at nether exploration mostly bc He’s from the nether.. His natural mapping ability helped him to develop decked out with such a big area.
Prolly has a sparkbox- (For reference, a ‘spark box’ is what dragons have to ignite fire in their throats, their ‘saliva’ acts like a gasoline of sorts, the anatomy of a dragon breathing fire is just spitting Venom/saliva and it igniting. it’s pretty cool. I read it in a book when I was like. Eight. Dragononology with my own twists) anyway, he has the ability to use it whenever he wants but if he uses it too much his throat hurts.. so he just doesn’t really tend to use it unless super important anyway. immunity to heat fire and stuff, this wouldn’t apply in hermitcraft or life to make it fair, but in general if we’re not going on minecraft logic, blah blah blah)
also dungeon master tango was a result of a prank; it was dry ice mixed with soul soil into a shampoo the hermits made for him on a whim bc they thought it’d be a funny prank.. which tango ended up just liking anyway so the prank was a bit of a failure ☠️☠️ but hooray for tango it made him blue for his cool dungeon master bit
Anyways imo Blazes typically have extremely light bodies which Is why they can spin, held together by idk. Wistful magic and shit and they float, because of the wind uproar from below them. Tango cannot do that because of his human bones, which are, unfortunately, slightly more fragile due to the mix of dna In the density and structure and calcium and stuff
I’m really autistic over him And his species don’t hmu

So we’ve talked about our Don Quixote and Sancho’s sexual needs in terms of other characters, but what do you think they do alone? Be it before they establish relations with or when they don’t want to bother others, what goes through their head and what do they do? Since we’re not holding back anymore, PLEASE talk about her heats too. I’m curious on your headcanons!
Sancho:
Prefers clit or nipple stimulus
Edges herself on accident a lot because she stops too soon because she's scared of squirting and making a mess
Despite being a sex worker before being turned, she's not exactly good at getting herself off even when not in heat
Holds back her voice and is pretty quiet. Covers her own mouth or hides her face in her pillow or armadura
Generally deals with heats alone and hates asking for help. She needs penetration during heats to get any sort of relief but still will try and simply... not
Often has to make toys out of Hardblood to deal with her heats and will do this rather than ask for help
Gets overstimulated easy and often cries because of it. She tries to be so cocky but she's a mess during her heats someone please help her she's so uncomfortable....
HORRID clothing thief both for nesting and just comfortable safe smells even outside of heats. Quixote is always missing a jacket. If Bari leaves any clothes behind they end up in Sancho's room. Has stolen Bari's coats by simply hiding them and (badly) pretending she doesn't know where it is. Bari knows but thinks it's cute.
Her nests are soft and warm and she's very very protective of them. You'll see a huge pile of fabric and Hardblood and just hear growling coming from it.
Nicolina leaves out fabric for her but Sancho thinks she's being stealthy and stealing.
Don:
Toys. This girl collects sex toys. Most are Fixer related but... she has so many toys. Blue Reverberation Magic Wand. Horse dildo. Sounding rods.
Some of the above toys were given to her by Bari when she was in the Lighthouse. Don't worry about it.
Cannot cum without penetration and is a size queen. If it's not hitting her cervix and bulging her, it's too small.
Humps her lance
In general has a bit of a kink for using whatever she can to get off, something that is left over from when she had much fewer toys.
Pisses when she cums.......
Actually pretty quiet when getting off. Louder than Sancho but good at muffling herself.
During heats she will be more likely to seek help but often times she doesn't realize it's her heat so she tries to get off like normal and it's only after she's made herself cum like four times and she's crying from overstimulation and still horny that she realizes she's in heat
Because of her lack of instincts she literally cannot take care of her heats on her own, she needs someone to help but she often doesn't realize this
Bari did give her some letters on the subject and she often has to reread them when she realizes what is happening to try and remember how to fix things
Much more vocal when in heat
Her nests fucking suck. Often makes them out of stacking books or blocks and shredding paper. She doesn't exactly know how to deal with the instinct. Pigeon laying egg anywhere kind of nests. You find her with a toilet paper tube, a dictionary, and last week's newspaper underneath one of the bus seats and she's just purring she's so proud.

ALRIGHT!! DYLANS TURN
@rebootgrimm
Full Name: Dylan Ocean Smith.
Age: 14-15 when he first arrives, 16-17 at the end of his story.
Gender: Transgender Male.
Sexuality: Bisexual with a female preference.
Birth date: January 21st.
He's both Greek and Welsh in my opinion—knowing both English and Greek, but he's also currently learning Korean.
Dylan likes horses, horse-riding, the beach, and also just the ocean in general and the life within it. He dislikes sea pollution, people treating sea creatures badly—and also horses badly, and he.. dislikes snakes for some reason, though specifically because they tend to attack him a lot or always show up around him.
I like to imagine he has a dumb little tattoo of a sea horse on his upper left shoulder—
Dylan is very outgoing, loyal, and generally very goofy. But at the same time, it's very easy to piss him off if you mess with his friends, and he can actually be quite protective of them. But when pushed too far, he can become terrifyingly violent—and not even realize how far he's going until way later or til someone stops him. He also experiences rapid mood swings, and easily forgets about stuff a lot. He can also jump to conclusions very easily, and can go back and forth from being impulsive, to not impulsive at all.
Dylan likes going to the beach, collecting seashells, taking care of fishes, and he used to go fishing—but he always felt bad for 'no reason', and eventually stopped after a while.
Dylan works at a small pet store a little before he goes to camp, and resumes his job anytime he comes back from it. But he works mainly in the 'fish or sea creature' section of the store.
Dylan is actually very strong and fast despite his size, and is very quick to act or think. But his anger can get the best of him sometimes and make him forget to think logically, or to do something more beneficial. He can also be quite oblivious at times.
He usually dresses like a surfer dude, and has a very squeaky and outgoing voice—but it can become VERY low and intimidating when he's pissed off. He's allergic to snakes, so that's probably the reason why he hates them so much deep down, though he's never been bitten by one and has always managed to avoid them—he also canonically has ADHD and autism! And he's interested in becoming a marine biologist one day.
I imagine he lives in a small, but slightly poor house or apartment near the beach somewhere in town (he lives in the same place as Thora btw, or maybe he doesn't? I'm trying to decide). He says "Whaaaaaattttt?" a lot for some reason, and giggles a lot whenever he speaks if he's in a good mood. He's a bit afraid of the deeper parts if the sea even if it interests him, specifically the creatures there though. And again, he has a phobia of snakes. He has a good habit of trying to pay attention when somethings important since it shows he cares. But he has a bad habit of assuming things way to quickly or getting a bit too protective of his friends.
He has more expressive mannerisms, like gesturing widely with his hands or slamming his fists against something—and he also tends to like to pretend he's stabbing something for some reason? And also likes to pretend he has a magic staff. He's very intelligent even though some people treat him like he isn't, and is especially interested in sea life. He has a bit of a chaotic and random sense of humor, and goofs off a lot. He usually has very stupid solutions to things unless it's serious—if angry enough, they're usually very irrational solutions instead. He can usually recognize when people are upset, but has an awkward time comforting others. He's very extroverted, and hates when people are generally bitchy to him or those he cares about. His most prized possession is a little fishing rod that he kept even when he stopped fishing, just because it's one of the first gifts his mortal dad gave to him (he has two dads btw—cuz mlm real).
His favorite food is celery, and his favorite drinks is water (unsurprisingly)—usually any kind though, including literal ocean water cuz he's kind of a weirdo(/aff). He tends to smell like water or just the beach in general. He plans on visiting one particular gigantic ass aquarium one day, and also just heading out to sea to see all the wild life. And he usually spends the mornings doing a big stretch, yawning, taking a look out at the beach from his window, and then immediately turning on music and getting ready. He doesn't play any sports, but he does jog a lot. He can beat people at arm wrestles very easily. And he also snores very, very loudly—or very quietly—it usually depends.
He strongly believes that no one, and I mean no one, should be allowed to hurt those he cares for. And believes that if anyone even dares to try, he has the right to beat them up if he wants, no matter if his friends were in the wrong or not. Unless his friends did something he considers more serious, but still—he is externally optimistic, but can be pessimistic when he's upset. And he has a slightly bad image of himself because he truly believes he's just some guy, and it gets worse later on when his abilities lead to him doing some pretty terrible damage or acting more angrily than he should.
His main motivation in life is to just explore and live his life to the fullest. He thinks that he must get to know every little part of life while he's still here. Though one of his darker secrets is that he punched a kid in the face when he thought they were bullying his friend, when it turns out, said friend was bullying them—and he had an argument with said friend after that led to their friendship ending. But the kid he punched never really forgave him, and while he understands how they felt, he for some reason can't comprehend the fact that maybe they don't have to forgive him, and experiences a lot of internal conflict over this. His biggest dream is to just discover something great and be recognized for it. And one of his goals is to find a new sea creature. His deepest fear is not being able to protect his friends and family from something dangerous, or possibly losing all of them and being powerless to do anything about it. He has an external conflict with forgiveness a lot, and can't comprehend that some people just don't have to forgive him, and that he doesn't have to forgive some people. And internally, he starts to see himself as messed up and as a monster due to some of the things he does while protecting his friends.
His deepest regret is not going on a trip that he was going to go on with his cousin, who he used to be very close with—but his cousin died whenever they went on the trip. And now he feels like he should have done something to protect them, or should have gone so maybe he could have died instead of them or found our what killed them, because they still don't know how his cousin died and just found her body somewhere. This is part of the reason why he's so protective of those he still has. Deep down, he desired to just be finally content with everything in his life, or to find some sort of fulfillment. And he's externally pressured by his very friendly but protective mortal dad, who is just as afraid of losing him as he is afraid of losing everyone else around him. He's the most insecure about whether or not he's really strong deep down. His greatest joy is his friends, his family, and the sea itself. And his worst nightmare is being taken away from his loved ones, or dying without being able to say goodbye to them. I imagine he becomes a marine biologist in the future, a navy officer, or perhaps just a sailor at sea.
He's usually very happy. Oh, and he has a secret handshake with his little brother, which is just a very complicated fist bump. His father was also very supportive of him when he decided he wanted to transition, along with everyone else in his family, and while Poseidon is a bit confused later on when he finally sees him again, he accepts it since he's had plenty of kids and someone being Trans isn't anything new. Dylan also isn't very creative.
Dylan is actually friends with Thora, or even best friends with her in fact. Though they live on different parts of town and usually have to walk a long distance to see eachother. They only have one class together, and Dylan has a job, so they have little time to hang out unless she's seeing him at his work. They're both very protective of eachother though. And Dylan becomes friends with Amoria later on.
Thora and Dylan's dynamic would be best described as 'overly serious, done with everyone's shit, and protective as fuck + goofy goober who the serious one usually tries to protect, but can be equally protective in turn'. I may draw something to show off their dynamic one I finish everyone's designs lol.
Dylan is disliked by Athena of course, and he's very awkward around her. And he dislikes Medusa just cuz it later turns out she's the one sending snakes on him, due to some curse that she's inflicted on him that has to do with the prophecy about the twenty heroes.
Dylan abilities include: Literally being able to travel on makeshift water horses—or being able to travel inside of a water horse or teleport through water horses, summoning gigantic ass waves or being able to control the ocean in whatever way he pleases, being able to drown people by simply not letting them out of the water or manipulating the water to not let them out, teleporting through waves, having his own little staff that Poseidon gave to him as a gift that he can send charges of ocean through or stab any divine creature with (and also kill them with), being able to cause literally earthquakes and gigantic storms, etc etc.
One of his instances of protecting his friends I thought of was basically: Thora and Amoria get kidnapped and taken on a ship, while Dylan is forced to find them. He angrily summons a water horse, runs all across the ocean til he finds the ship, and once he finds it—he rises out of the water and starts beating the hell out of everyone on the ship with his natural element. But even when he gets his friends back, he tries to make them apologize to see if they'll show any remorse. They either don't, or their apology is fucking terrible. But either way, he decides to not spare them, and drowns most of them in a rush of waves before leaving. He probably gets in trouble for this, and maybe even put on trial, but somehow lives despite this, and is heavily scolded by Poseidon after.

Fs pony art and lore
@shadylink I'm never really gonna refine and post these as their own thing but I figured u might be interested, most of these are just really bad finger doodles, cuz I hadn't drawn ponies in such a long time-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Btw in this au I decided to rework mlp's magic system, so basically each type of pony has their own type of magic ofc
Pegasi get flight , unicorns get spell magic, and earth ponies get strength that's the norm
But basically I'm deciding to see this as like, percentages.
Basically unicorns can do things like transformation and warp spells, pegasi can fly at high speeds skillfully and create gusts of winds, earth ponies can lift like 9x their weight and be more resistant to natural poisons/have less chance of injury because of a really dense coat and stronger bones -
but this is after specialized training in their areas and requires like years of practice. This is like 100% of the potential of those specific things, like Olympic athletes
most ponies just use like 50% of their capabilities so for unicorns that's just like refridgerating spells, light spells, levitation - pegasi is just flying over distances and being able to walk on clouds- earth ponies lifting like idk 4.5x their weight
so just normal skills that aid them in day to day life
i was thinking what if ponies could be half of two types?
so instead of just 100% magical capacity for a specific quality, 50% of their magic will be from one type and 50% of the other.
So if an earth pony and a unicorn had a kid, then MAYBE, (the phenomenon is a bit more rare but not unusual) they'd have the basic earth pony strength and the basic unicorn magic. HOWEVER, if that kid wanted to say, learn a warp spell, they wouldn't be able to do so.
Full unicorns would have longer horns and earth ponies would have stronger more vibrantly colored hooves that an earth-unicorn would.
Full pegasi would have fuller, stronger, sharper wings, while a half pegasus would have softer and smaller ones.
Alicorns would have the full magical extent of all three, essentially giving them 3x the magic of others. That mix could probably create even more magical potential.
For obvious reasons, there aren't any pegasi-unicorns because they'd look too much like alicorns design wise. I'm gonna say that their magical energies just oppose too much, while earth ponies, being so tied to the natural world is more able to mix with both.
Link was originally an earth-pegasi with a bit of extra strength and the ability to fly in general. His battle style is mostly sharp fast cuts with quick brief escapes to the air and then back into battle
also I've decided to give them clothes
when Link split into four, the types of ponies they were depended on their parents genetics
So green's a full pegasi, blue's a full earth pony, red is a earth-unicorn (this is why he uses a fire rod, he wouldn't be able to do a fire spell that strong on his own, but a fire rod would enhance his natural magic) and vio is a full unicorn
Anyways shadow is kinda like stealing king sombras vibes, he looks earth pegasi like link was but his wings are hooves are all shadowy lol
also links cutie mark was a sword in front of the triforce
after the split, each of their cutie marks turned into the four sword in front of their respective element
enjoy lol, u can do whatever u want with this info, hope you like it
EDit: also I fixed their swords so they can actually hold them with their mouths properly enough to correctly aim
oh I also forgot!
basically a little tidbit from my brainrot is that red actually got the hang of his unicorn magic really well, but vio just struggled even being able to start it up to levitate a pebble
he ended up being able to use his magic only after they almost got crushed by a rock slide and vio was able to raise a crystal sheild
he got bad magical exhaustion from that tho and still struggled to control his magic until shadow helped him later
green originally thought he was link because he was the only one who had wings, but because he wasn't earth pony and their cutie marks were just the elements they realized there wasn't an "original" but rather a split four ways
it takes them some time to realize that the type of pony they are isn't connected to the elements, but rather genetic probability
also when they first split vio had no idea he was a unicorn and while he was trying to figure it out the others were just like
listening to him ramble about how their types don't make sense!
how does earth relate to the water element? and if its a genetic thing, then why is red the only unico-
and then he's like why are u staring at me like that???is there something on my face?? and then he just has a whole freaking 100% unicorn horn and he's like well f*ck
anyways I also forgot to mention-
basically if a pony were to engage in battle stuff, some little tricks as a last ditch attempt to creat espace between themself and the enemy include:
Earth: stomping the ground so hard that your opponent loses balance
Pegasi: Creating a guest of wind to blow your opponent away
Unicorn: stab with the horn <3

Yuu and magic formulas.
I've had an idea in my head for quite a long time about what Yuu sees magic formulas around? Due to the fact that they have never encountered magic ever in their lives, (neither their ancestors and other genetic chain. ) Is it possible to assume that Yuu feels magic more subtly than the others in TWST? From this we can conclude that the "sounds of ink dripping" for Yuu are heard more clearly and they feel perhaps the smell or taste of ink in their mouth? As if you were trying to resuscitate a rod from a gel/ballpoint pen by blowing air into the rod through your mouth. And everything went wrong and now you have to spit out ink in your mouth. Please just take another rod Also a great helper for other students when they do not notice the clouding of their magic stones, and the Prefect points it out.
Somewhere the magic formulas look more detailed and clear for Yuu, at some points they are blurred and written so illegibly that even with all their stubbornness they are not able to.With ancient or more complex magic, formulas look like an overlay of one on another, which makes it difficult to make out at least one symbol that does not intersect with another.
In addition, based on the Masquerade event, there was a thing with which the magic formula was directly connected. And! It could have been changed!! What is even more curious. How does the magic formula change?
Can Yuu see how magic flows through the magic formula in objects? Let's say yes. And this is such an amazing opportunity for the Prefect to earn some pocket money!
Yuu is a girl here.
When Yuu was able to discover an interesting feature of magic formulas, in the form of magic flowing through symbols and pointers, her torment in solving some problems finally came to an end.
She repeatedly pointed out to classmates or Ace and Deuce and Grim that "the formula will not work", focusing on the symbol or pointer that creates an error, which is why all the magic spell contained in the formula is tangled like a ball of thread after playing 10 cats with it.
Additional classes with teachers after classes in order to catch up with their classmates gave some advantage in the basics and the base, which some students either lacked, or was very superficial. Because of what all their efforts went down the drain. Teachers in general were not against these small "error analysis", because it was more like a repetition of the material passed, rather than cheating. In addition, the students tried to cooperate with each other, which only pleased the teachers. For a teacher of magical analysis, it was fascinating to study with Yuu. She was interested in everything and she did not think from the point of view of a "magician" She had to get out of it, and improvise based on the experience around her. Unfortunately, it was difficult for Grimm to grasp and learn everything, but he still tried to keep up with Yuu. As a homeroom teacher for Yuu, Crewel was glad to hear a few words of praise from another Professor about the diligence and perseverance of their puppies.
-That's where you have a hole. You indicate a twist for the direction, but put a blocking sign in front of it. …and here. You point the water at the ground. In this amount, you will just make a puddle and dirt around.
-Yuu and will you look here?
Taking the scroll with the drawing, Yuu unfolds and takes out a small magnifying glass to see more precisely the direction of magic. She needed "someone to activate" the formula otherwise she wouldn't see anything.Just a pinch of magic and some mistakes were too obvious. Without magic, it was nothing more than a set of ink on paper.
-There's a mistake here. You write about boiling water, but with such a ratio of pointers, your water simply evaporates before reaching the final part.
-Prefect, what about me?
-Deuce, you don't even need to activate the formula, everyone will see that… you put too much pressure on the paper and overkill with pointers. Write a draft first with a pencil, not a pen….
Due to some "influence" (sad experience) with Azul, Yuu decided to take some money from students for consultation.
At first, only students from the first year turned to Yuu to help draw a more accurate drawing, deal with pointers or a symbol. Check whether the spell will work or come up with something non-standard. Her prices were very tolerable, the timing was quite fast and she did her job efficiently and responsibly.
Senior students asked Yuu to make drawings for their course or test papers, with a bunch of thin lines and other details. Some students simply did not have the strength, time, or desire to mess around with all this.
Soon Yuu had to raise his prices due to the huge amount of work.
During one of the breaks, Azul witnessed a very interesting conversation.
A group of undergraduates surrounded the Prefect in one of the corridors, preventing her from passing or escaping. Looking at the rather formidable and serious appearance of the students, Azul pretended to check something in his notes. To intervene if the situation goes according to plan and Yuu owed them for the rescue. Azul would not be the owner of his own business if he relied only on luck.
-So… what do you say about the price? One of the students asked, looking at Yuu. Meanwhile, the Prefect was skimming through the list -an "Order" for her according to drawings and paintings of magic formulas.A fairly extensive notebook with a bunch of tasks and goals to complete. It was easier to estimate how much time and effort it would take.
-It's quite a lot of work..if the deadlines are tight, I just won't make it on time. - Always honestly answering that she would not make it on time, the students understood how much Yuu could do, and which one would not take even for the largest amount.
-Can we agree on the price?
Suddenly, some kind of enthusiastic light flashes in Yuu's eyes and she enthusiastically tweets the following
-If you all chip in for my thermal underwear, I'll take the order!
For the first time in his life, Ashengrotto felt like all the air in his lungs was knocked out with just one phrase. He had to cough violently to restore the rhythm of breathing. There was an awkward silence among the students surrounding Yuu.
-T… thermal underwear?
The students muttered squeakily, thinking about something of their own and trying to hide their treacherously red faces.
-Yep! At night, after all … - Yuu immediately looks at the guys with suspicion, quickly understanding why they are so quiet and look very confused. Some covered their faces with their hand so as not to burn so much.
-Boys, these are ordinary pajamas with a turtleneck and pants, and not what you were thinking there…Turn off your rich imagination, please, and focus. - Yuu grumbled and snorted with displeasure, looking at the students. -Y-yes, of course…. -But why do you need it? -It's cold in the dorm at night. Everything freezes even under a warm blanket and with Grimm in the heater mode. I need 6 sets. - complaining about her very deplorable situation with a very limited budget, the Prefect thought that it might be worth taking a couple of hundred madols more to take something else from her shopping list.
-6?!so much??
-2 for Vargas lessons. 2 for everyday wear, and 2 more for sleeping. If I take one, it will get very busy and become dirty.
-It makes sense.
-Oh… uh… Yuu?And where exactly did you find this thermal underwear?I would buy this for my sister, she always freezes at home and at school.
-Let me show you a model. There are for different types of figures and ages.
Taking out her phone and finding the right site, Yuu showed what she asked other students about. A simple, plain set similar to the most ordinary warm pajamas.
Never in his life has Azul been able to forget this most stupid conversation with the most ridiculous deal in his life. With this money, you could buy a whole rack of clothes of very tolerable quality! What infuriated him more was that Yuu had created her own small business right under his nose!! And by the way, he can do everything 8 times faster. And get a bigger profit than she did in a week!

*Slides Monopoly money*
Can I have some Fattytron drabble?
(T/fp, I/dw or E/S I don't mind) Im just thirsting for a fat Mega/tron who's too full yet keeps stuffing himself to get some bot's attention (SW, Rod/dy, Mags or Op im not really picky about ships kek). But yeah, Fattytron being very full-
Never really requested drabbles before so im sorry if it's weirdly worded aaaaaa-
-not Chunkytron ☆
this is a two parter, here is part 1 ! Little bit of a slow start.
Mega/tron x Sound/wave, feeding,
The only sound emanating from the empty room was his grumbling belly. Sure, the mission to retrieve the relic was a bust, but was it really wrong of him to be angry? How hard was it to foil those pesky Auto/bots and their child counterparts? The warlord growled as he busted open a fresh box of energon goodies. He had his supper, consisting of a generous portion of food, and now it was time for dessert.
At least the snacks had been replenished. By who? He didn’t know or care; he just unwrapped the light blue round cake and took a bite. The sweetness soothed his woes, even if just for a moment. Thankfully, he had the whole box to himself.
Cake after cake was devoured, each bite bringing a smile to his lips. His tongue eagerly licked up any cream that smeared over his lips. These treats hinted at vanilla and were ever so moist; it always put Mega/tron in his happy place.
Why?
It was simple. Being stuck working in the mines with next to no pay, one could not afford such snacks. Lunch consisted of liquid energon with metal additives; while it did the job, it wasn’t anything to write home about. However, one would occasionally magically appear in his dreary lunch pail. After admiring the pretty light pink color flecked with blue geode crunches, Mega/tronus would unwrap the surprise. It smelled so lovely- he swore the little round ball just reeked of sweetness! And that first bite lit his taste sensors ablaze.
He felt as if his whole frame was lifted out of those mines and into some kind of nirvana. Each bite brought him so much joy! Sadly, like with most things in life, all good things come to an end. After licking his claws clean, there was no more to consume, and he sat there looking at the empty wrapper.
Ok, he also licked the wrapper clean, but who could blame him?
Now, all these treats were gone, making him feel just the same: sad and nothing to look forward to. The evening would be much more productive if he reviewed his battle plans instead. His rumbling belly did not agree, but there were no more of his favorite treats in stock.
You know when you just want to be alone and not bothered by anyone or anything? Yeah, this is how Mega/tron felt. So, when the door opened in this tucked away room that not many mechs used, you could imagine the annoyed look washing over his face as he gave a death glare at whoever dared to enter.
Once the door fully opened, it revealed Sound/wave's long, spindly form.
Great. Just who the Decep/ticon leader wished to catch him pigging out on sweets- it was a super-duper family-size box nonetheless. And yes, he ate them all; their empty wrappers lying around him didn’t leave any doubt about who indulged in them all.
Primus, Sound/wave better not gripe about it!
Instead, the silent warrior respectfully tipped his helm, acknowledging his leader’s presence, then walked to the pantry.
And cue a loud belly grumble. Mega/tron bent forward and curled his arm over his swelled tummy. With brows furrowed, the gray and purple mech cursed himself for not retreating to his personal quarters.
Perhaps he could just get up and leave?
Well, the sound of the other walking back to the table squashed that idea. He tried to shimmy his midsection out of view. Out of the peripheral view of his optics, Mega/tron saw Sound/wave set a large box down and then take a seat.
Couldn’t Sound/wave take a hint? Indeed, he’d not be this oblivious…
Those thin fingers made quick work of ripping the seal from the box and opening it up. His visored helm took a peek, then rubbed his servos together in what can only be imagined as glee. Then, his servos reached into the box and gently lifted out its contents.
And yes, a stupid smiley face appeared on his visor as a large cake was lifted and set on the table.
Large cake.
It was light pink with blue geode crumbles.
And very, very large!
Mega/tron couldn’t help but stare at the gorgeous sight. This was the biggest of his favored treats he had ever seen! Before he knew it, he was licking his lips and reaching out a claw to help himself.
But Sound/wave slapped his hand away and wagged a finger.
How dare he! Mega/tron’s face scrunched as he growled, watching his subordinate grab a fork and stab into his favorite treat. Just how the slag could Sound/wave eat this? He had no freaking mouth!
But that fork traveled his way, and those furrowed optics grew wide in shock. What the slag was going on here? The treat stopped just short of his lips—so close that the warlord could practically taste the sweetness.
And Mega/tron just stared at the communication officer. Was he being serious? Was he wanting to feed him this cake? While the mech may have been unsure, his belly wanted the attention.
A loud, whining gurgle erupted, demanding to be fed.
And Mega/tron had a ferocious appetite!
And that chunk of cake pressed ever so teasingly against his lips. The spindly blue mech made some clicking noises and tilted his helm to the side.
Mega/tron was no dummy. He got the hint. Hearing the other’s engines purr, it was clear Sounwave wished to feed him. And the sound of the warlord's belly grumbling, he wanted to be fed.
Was there a downside to this?

JUNE THEME: I’TS MAGIC! 🪄
Magical June is almost over, a little reminder that a bit (or more) of magic in real life would be amazing!
You go fishing and the most important thing you need to take with you is a fishing rod... I mean a magic brown stick with a blue diamond, just spin it, say abra cadabra and you have a perfect fishing spot everywhere. The fish fly out of the water on their own - okay! a fishing rod will also be useful in the end.
Sooo…we are waiting for your magical photos, not much time left… So do your magic, and I cant wait what you will come up with !
RULES:
* We want to see something related to magic
* New and old pictures are allowed
* Share your work on our Discord server in #monthly-theme channel
* Brick built elements on your photos would be great, but it’s not necessary
* Multiple entries are cool
* AI-generated images are not cool!
The activity ends on 28th June, 23:59 CET

Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the Week Ending September 28, 2024
Tumblr media
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the week ending September 28, 2024. This has been a busy week for new releases, with a handful of obvious attention-grabbers and a lot of weird and interesting smaller games. I've included as many as I could fit, and I hope this helps you separate the cool junk from the boring junk. Let's check out this week in the world of Switch!
Select New Releases
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom ($59.99)
Tumblr media
A brand-new top-down Zelda game, this time featuring… Zelda?! Wow! Link has gone missing, and Princess Zelda is going to flex her magical power to save him and the rest of Hyrule. She has some help from a fairy named Tri and a magical artifact called the Tri Rod, the latter of which opens up all kinds of fun-looking mechanics. I might do a review of this one, in case anyone needs a review of something like this. You probably have already decided if you want it or not, though.
EA Sports FC 25 Standard Edition ($59.99)
Tumblr media
It's the latest edition of EA Sports' long-running series of soccer/football games, and I'm not going to disrespect either of us by pretending I know what's new here or even what makes one of these good or bad. Consider this a notice that it is now available for general purchase on Switch, no more and no less.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed ($59.99)
Tumblr media
Warren Spector's much-hyped Mickey game gets remade for the Nintendo Switch with this release. I haven't played the remake yet, but the original game was decent enough. If nothing else, this gives me the chance to remind everyone that Disney traded play-by-play commentator Al Michaels' contract to NBCUniversal to acquire Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for use in this game. And, you know, elsewhere. But the first use was in this game, and that's really funny to me. Anyway, try the demo and see how it sits with you.
Iron Meat ($19.99)
Tumblr media
Hailed by folks with numerous conflicts of interest with the publisher as "better than Contra" and by others as "a pretty good run-and-gun", Iron Meat is another solid entry in a genre that has seen a decent amount of love in recent years on the platform. Is it better than Blazing Chrome? Better than Operation Galuga? Does it matter? If you enjoy games like these, stop comparing flavors and dig in! You never know when winter is coming for any given genre.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 ($39.99)
Tumblr media
Sure, why not more World Brothers? Look, this isn't the Earth Defense Force some people would ideally want to see on Switch, but this is what we've got. And it's fine for what it is. Very much in line with the first World Brothers in design and performance, so if you liked that game on Switch then you're all set here. Similarly, if you found the technical sacrifices were too much in the original game, you won't have a better time with this one.
Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition ($24.99)
Tumblr media
Why would you buy Worms Armageddon for twenty-five buckeroos when you can get W.M.D. for six dollars during its very regular sales? The addition of the Game Boy Color version of the game probably won't be much of a pot sweetener for many, but this being a stealth Digital Eclipse Gold Master entry might. Yes, you get that timeline hotness! You don't even have to like the game, so long as you have an interest in gaming history. I can vouch for that, because I hate this game but I think this is a neat release that could have been even better as a full-blown Worms collection.
Cash Cow DX ($5.99)
Tumblr media
Moo-ve over, Donut Dodo. There's a new retro-style arcade action game in town, and it's ready to milk you out of your six bucks. This game comes from the developer of Donut Dodo and has a lot of the same qualities to it. You're running around each stage trying to grab all the cash while avoiding enemies. Very enjoyable stuff. Feel free to have a look at the review I posted yesterday, if you haven't already seen it.
REYNATIS ($59.99)
Tumblr media
Oh, it's FuRyu time again. I suspect we've got the usual FuRyu experience on our hands here. Which is to say, a rather middling game hobbled by its low budget with a few glimmers of greatness that might be enough to satisfy a few players. This one is an action-RPG, and the famous names that have been affixed to lure in the blissfully ignorant are scenario writer Kazushige Nojima (Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey) and composer Yoko Shimomura (Code Name: Viper). This game is not very good at all. I might write up a review to explain why, if I have the time. No one brought their best here, but it's FuRyu, so what do you expect?
3 Minutes to Midnight ($24.99)
Tumblr media
It's never encouraging when you see that registered trademark name on a title. It suggest a certain set of priorities that are sometimes at odds with a quality creative endeavor. Fortunately, this bucks that assumption by being a rather decent point-and-click adventure game. It's one aimed at the more hardcore fans of the genre, as it is quite lengthy and involved, but there's nothing wrong with that. If you're a fan of the genre, this is worth investigating.
Go Mecha Ball ($19.99)
Tumblr media
Add another twin-stick roguelite to the pile. We've got tons of these, so what's this one's gimmick? Basically, you can ball up Samus Aran style and roll around at high speeds. You can get a bunch of weapons, abilities, and upgrades to help you on your way, which is more or less how these things go. There's something here, but I don't know that the spark of potential properly ignites. Not bad, but I wouldn't rush out and buy it or anything.
Exographer ($19.99)
Tumblr media
An exploratory adventure that sees you on a rescue mission on an alien planet. You'll explore levels, investigate an extinct civilization, and earn new powers that will help you reach previous inaccessible areas. There are puzzles to solve, and you'll have to make use of your special camera to figure things out. This game is really pushing science as its selling point, so we'll have to see if that results in an enjoyable game or not.
Lets castle ($13.99)
Tumblr media
I've retained the exact title from the eShop here, and believe me, I also find it a little irritating. This is a relatively low-pressure game where you have to build a castle from given parts. You'll occasionally get specific orders from the Queen and will need to build to her specifications. I like the pixel art, at least.
Ahro ($11.99)
Tumblr media
Okay, get this. Ahro is a side-scroller with a simplified yet stylish look, and it's a metaphor for mental health issues. Anxiety and panic disorder, to be specific. The gameplay gimmick is that you can release your spirit to explore and collect goobers. I'm kind of tired of this kind of thing by now, but perhaps you're feeling more fresh about the idea.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports ($49.99)
Tumblr media
Oh no, it's Game Mill. Don't expect too much. You get four sports here, including Basketball, Soccer, Golf, and Tennis. Up to four players can join in via local multiplayer, and there are nine playable Looney Tunes characters. I'm sure it's at least as competent as some of the sports games we see around the ten dollar price point on the eShop. If you really love the Looney Tunes, don't let me stop you.
Murder Is Game Over: Deal Killer ($4.99)
Tumblr media
I guess these must be going well for Ratalaika. Another mystery for Detective Guy and his dog to solve, this time concerning the murder of an executive of a video game publisher. I choose not to read anything into that. You don't have to have played the previous games to enjoy this one, so feel free to jump in if you're interested.
Luna-3X ($9.99)
Tumblr media
An off-beat game about a pair of heroes trying to save as many creatures as they can before the world ends in seven days. They do that, of course, by having one play the tamborine while dangling from a fishing rod held by the other. You can play alone, but this one is built for two players. One person controls the fishing rod while the other plays their instrument in rhythm to lure the creatures in. Charming and quite unique.
Arcade Archives Blast Off ($7.99)
Tumblr media
You would think that a 1989 release from Namco in a well-worn genre that also serves as a follow-up of sorts, albeit in name only, to Bosconian would be a safe bet. Alas, Blast Off is a rather dull example of the vertical shoot 'em up genre. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone except those are basically buying every Arcade Archives game or every shoot 'em up. A really rare total miss from this publisher, but history is history. Hamster isn't just in it to reissue the hits.
JALECOlle Famicom Ver. Bio Warrior DAN The Increaser War ($7.99)
Tumblr media
The Earth is on the brink of total ruin, and only a time traveling bio warrior named Dan can save us! City Connection packed in a lot of extras for this one, including a new map screen, quick weapon switching, and a number of other UI improvements. The game is also fully translated into English, so that's nice. I'm really appreciating these releases so far.
Night Slashers: Remake ($9.99)
Tumblr media
I like Night Slashers as much as the next Data East fan, but even I wouldn't have had it near the head of the list for a remake. Nevertheless, here we are. Night Slashers in a very clean, modern graphical style that is probably trying to evoke Streets of Rage 4 but not quite getting there. Still, the price is right and it's as gory and goofy a time as ever, now with support for four players. I gave my thoughts on this one yesterday in my review, so do check that out if you haven't already.
Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles ($24.99)
Tumblr media
Hey, it's another one of these Slay The Spire/Darkest Dungeon deckbuilding turn-based roguelite things. As you can guess from the name, you'll be playing with dice in this one. It seems to have reviewed rather well on PC, and I imagine there are many Switch owners who will appreciate it as well.
The Holy Gosh Darn ($19.99)
Tumblr media
A time traveling narrative action-adventure, with four different worlds to explore across space and time. You'll have to engage in some time shenanigans to solve the puzzles and move the story forward. I feel like this has some real potential, but I haven't had a chance to try out the demo for it yet. But hey, the demo is indeed right there. Give it a shot and see if you like it.
Bloomtown: A Different Story ($24.99)
Tumblr media
This is a turn-based RPG with a 1960s Americana theme, and that's enough to help it stand out a little right off the hop. There's monster taming, some life sim bits, and a mystery involving two very different sides of one small town. Naturally, it's up to some kids to save the day. Early reviews on this have been positive, if not excessively so. If you're keen on the premise, you might want to look into it further.
Silver Axe - The Honest Elf ($18.99)
Tumblr media
Another Metroidvania-style adventure for the pile. This one has a nice look to it and it's not outright terrible or anything, but in a genre this competitive I don't think it has what it takes to really stand out. It's just a bit too floaty, and the map designs don't have a nice flow to them. You might feel differently, though.
revive of the moon ($19.99)
Tumblr media
I suppose it is almost October, isn't it? Here's a zombie action game supervised by Japanese comedian Hidetaka Kano. It's not the fanciest of dinners, but there is a certain charm to its straightforward approach. The writing is a little better than you would expect, too. I'm not very interested in zombie stuff anymore, but if I were? This might be something I'd go for.
Creepy Tale: Some Other Place ($9.99)
Tumblr media
This little series has clearly found its audience. This is the fourth game in the series, and it tells its own little self-contained story within the fairy tale world and aesthetic that Creepy Tale is known for. Anyway, the usual business. Solve puzzles, follow the story, immerse yourself in the atmosphere. I've never been able to get into any of these, but I can at least see the appeal.
Beyond Galaxyland ($17.99)
Tumblr media
A sci-fi RPG about a human high-schooler named Doug who, along with his guinea pig Boom Boom, narrowly escapes the destruction of Earth. Now residing in a zoo-like collection of planets called Galaxyland, Doug embarks on a quest to try to set things right. He'll meet an odd cast of characters along the way, of course. This game fits a lot of things in, including puzzles, platforming, turn-based battles, and a creature-capturing mechanic for good measure. So far reviews seem relatively good, and I'm looking forward to checking it out when I have a hot minute.
Resope! ($2.99)
Tumblr media
It's always fun to find really low-priced games that serve as a good distraction for an evening, and Resope! is certainly one of those. There are sushi pieces trapped between wood blocks, and you need to free them. You do that by igniting the wood blocks, letting the sushi drop to the bottom. Make combos for a higher score, as one does in this kind of thing. There are a couple of extra modes here but the main one is fairly short, so be aware of that before you buy.
Anarkade ($14.99)
Tumblr media
This genre of game feels like it has dropped off a high cliff in terms of popularity, but you still see the odd one release now and then. It's a 2D multiplayer arena shooter for up to four players, either local or online. Nothing particularly special about this one as far as I can tell, but it seems well-made for what it is.
Food Boy ($11.99)
Tumblr media
It's like Paper Boy, except you're tossing pizzas at customers instead of newspapers. Run down any angry customers, and try to make a solid buck. Watch out for the many obstacles that will get in your way, of course. I'd rather have Paper Boy, but WB Games seems shy about sharing their old toys these days. That leaves an opportunity for games like this one, I suppose.
That's all for this week, friends. We'll be back next Saturday with another Round-Up as we make our way into October and the many games that will come with it. As ever, I will plug both my Patreon (where you can find lots of cool exclusive articles) and my Ko-Fi (tips help me run this blog). There, plugged. I hope you have a super Saturday, and as always, thanks for reading!

This is another of those "pick your poison" issues that emerge as we try to clean up decades of mess we deposited into our atmosphere, on the ground and in the water. Energy generated from nuclear plants is itself carbon-free, which is good. But nuclear energy requires mining and processing uranium and finding someplace to store the residue, as well as the cost, including carbon emissions, of manufacturing the bits and pieces that make up the nuclear energy facility. So which is preferred? From my perspective, I'll take the nuclear energy, with all its risks, because at least we can manage that a lot better than we can manage the greenhouse gases circulating in the atmosphere and harming us all. Are there better alternatives? Sure.....solar and wind, but the NIMBY people are hard at work, funded by fossil fuel interests, blocking the implementation.
Excerpt from this story from Nation of Change:
Nuclear power zealots are engaged in their biggest push in years in the United States and internationally. Headlines of recent pieces online about nuclear power include: “Japan’s top business lobby proposes maximum use of nuclear energy.” And, U.S. “looks to resurrect more nuclear power.” And, “European nations back nuclear power ahead of major climate summit.” And, “The super-rich are looking at nuclear power for emission-free yacht voyages.” And, “France plans to turn nuclear waste into forks, doorknobs and saucepans.”
Central to the drive: their trying to latch on to climate change as a new reason for nuclear power with the claim that it is “carbon-free” or “emissions-free.”
This is untrue especially when the “nuclear fuel chain” is taken into account.
“The dirty secret is that nuclear power makes a substantial contribution to global warming. Nuclear power is actually a chain of highly energy-intense industrial processes,” Michel Lee, an attorney and chair of the Council on Intelligent Energy & Conservation Policy, has said. “These include uranium mining, conversion, enrichment and fabrication of nuclear fuel; construction and deconstruction of the massive nuclear facility structures; and the disposition of high-level nuclear waste.”
In a two-page fact sheet that is online titled “How Nuclear Power Worsens Climate Change,” the Sierra Club Nuclear Free Campaign says: “Nuclear power has a big carbon footprint. At the front end of nuclear power, carbon energy is used for uranium mining, milling, processing, conversion, and enrichment, as well as for formation of [fuel] rods and construction of nuclear…power plants….All along the nuclear fuel chain, radioactive contamination of air, land and water occurs. Uranium mine and mill cleanup demands large amounts of fossil fuel. Each year 2,000 metric tons of high-level radioactive waste and twelve million cubic feet of low-level radioactive waste are generated in the U.S. alone. None of this will magically disappear. Vast amounts of energy will be needed to isolate these dangerous wastes for generations to come.”
The main release of carbon occurs during this nuclear fuel cycle; however, nuclear plants themselves also emit carbon, a radioactive form, Carbon 14.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night Part 1: Die Monster!.....in Japanese!!
We’re here folks
We’re finally here
And I’m playing the Japanese version! Why? Well let’s just say that there’s some content that was originally exclusive to the original japanese release which was cut from the international one. Said content was restored in the PSP version....but I decided against playing that. It’s a playable version, but it’s minor yet noticeable graphical downgrades compared to the original just bug me the wrong way
You can already spot a difference in the intro: the actual narrated text is english even in the Jpn version, and no it’s not due to me playing a translated rom, even untranslated it’s in english, just with a japanese voice over
What intrigues me is how the text itself was still largely rewritten in the international versions, yet even the japanese one calls Dracula’s Castle “Castlevania”, which I had always thought was just a quirk of the english localization and not something that was ever truly recognized by the japanese side of things, at least not until the mid 2000s when even the japanese versions started using that name as the series’ title for a time
However, while I can’t understand japanese, I can’t hear the narrator actually pronouncing the name “Castlevania” anywhere, so I’m going to guess that he’s reading from a different script?
Anyway there’s going to be...LOTS to talk about with this game, though luckily we’ll have plenty of parts to do so :)
Just to start off with something that everybody knows by now: this might just be the most beautiful sprite based game of its generation, probably of the whole decade of the 90s
Yeah sure there are a couple of weird imperfections here and there, namely Richter’s sprite still being from RoD instead of reflecting his redesign, except for one cutscene where he IS given an updated sprite (I guess that’s one point in favor of the Saturn version). This is pretty much the game that started the tradition of reusing old enemy sprites, especially guys from Rondo and a couple from Castlevania IV
But honestly? This stuff is barely even a blip on the radar here. Every sprite, every background is so detailed, so well animated, oozing with so much charm! Every enemy has their own unique death animation, there are a billion different animations for the various spells and secret moves, I could list stuff all night!
Alucard’s sprite and animations have entered into the realm of videogame legends now, which is funny because when you think about it his animations are just way too smooth compared to everything else he kinda sticks out, not to mention that the actual running animation looks silly with the way he moves his arms (not that the Belmonts in the previous games weren’t guilty of a similar running animation quirk with their ultra-manly walk cycles), but it’s just so mesmerizing to look at! He truly feels weightless, like some sort of wraith drifting through the night, with that cape, that hair, the after images etc
The funny part is that the game does implement a bunch of more typical PS1 3D effects, which you’d think would clash hard with the sprites and age the game badly but they actually end up giving it even MORE charm, because they’re usually relegated to 3D backgrounds, but the actual renders not only look pretty damn good usually, they actually help make some environments look more memorable and larger than life! The cathedral, the moving clouds, the houses in Olrox’s Quarters. The Magic Tomes that attack you in the Library technically clash so hard with the rest of the place, but the renders themsleves are nice and I fucking love watching them explode into a burst of flames as their letters just spill out from the pages!
I even love the SOUND EFFECTS in this game! I’m pretty sure that most of them are just stock effects, especially the ones for the transformations and whenever you use a potion....but I dunno they’re goofy in a good, charming way to me
And we haven’t even talked about the music! Oh God! I’ll save THAT for the next part!

top 5 ffs?
Oh, hello.
Just as a warning, I have yet to go through the post 5 FF games to a significant degree, so I'll be including some spinoffs:
5: Final Fantasy Explorers
I haven't played... well, any Monster Hunter-type games, so FFE was my first taste of it, and you know what? I enjoyed it. I played it on single-player, so it was essentially "Beastmaster: The Game" and the bosses were still fun enough. Also it probably has one of my top 5 favorite Big Bridge remixes and some of the music (particularly the general boss theme and Odin's theme) are highlights for me.
4: Final Fantasy Tactics
It clears the 'higher-than-you'd-expect' hurdle of me being able to actually play a decent amount of a strategy game and is generally fun to boot. I got up to Chapter 3 before the random encounters started kicking my ass enough to discourage me from continuing (though the fights towards the end of chapter 2 really tested my patience), though said encounters didn't help by me playing the PSP version with its magic/animation slowdown. By all accounts, I should probably go for the GBA/DS games since those lack permadeath (albeit with a very different tone plotwise), but I still intend to try out the PS1 version of the first game and hopefully not grind myself into a corner.
3: Final Fantasy 2
Yes, this. FF2's 'quirky' and 'complicated', but I dig the story, the gameplay once your characters actually get built up and just general setting. It's also to read the supplementry material and other notes on what could have been: It really shows that the devs were putting some thought into the story and its a shame how some elements didn't translate properly. It's the type of game where it gets better the more you know of how it works. That said the dungeon design alone holds this back fiercely, especially in the PSP's Arcane Labyrinth (Darkness floor, my beloathed). Speaking of which, the bonus content for this game is probably some of the better such content of these re-releases.
2: Final Fantasy 3
Wow, what a surprise.
FF3 is basically the video game equivalent of "it could be that deep" in my eyes. Because you don't have any of those fancy "Materias", "GFs", Magicites" or even abilities to carry over like in FFV and FFT, you need to team build your way through whatever the game throws at you. Again, FF3 is one of those games that gets better when you have more an idea of what to expect: Getting thrown into a mini-dungeon early on is annoying, but its less so when you have mages prepared ahead of time to either magic their way through or play "pass the Fire Rod that the devs conveniently added". The world isn't fully developed, but the nuggets you can find are interesting, especially the whole duality concept and the existence of the World of Darkness.
But this is also the same guy who has spent however many years obsessing over this game, so you know. Feel free to add some salt to this opinion.
As for why this isn't higher, it's because my image of this game has been ruined by my obsession, and there I feel there is no "definitive" version. All three versions are playable (yes, even the remake) and enjoyable (yes, even the remake), but all have enough pros and cons that I can't fully say one is better than the others. It's the kind of game that feels like it has yet to reach its full potential and I unfortunately don't think there are many people, at least in the west, who would care even if it did. 3's always been the overshadowed game. After all, FF5 is right there. And, oh hey, speaking of...
1: Final Fantasy 5:
Not quite a basic answer, but still a not-uncommon one, I feel. I was very late to the FF5 party, only playing it when the PR came out and not even experiencing it through osmosis like I did with FF6, and while my obsession with 3 means that it will never overcome that bias, I can easily see why people consider it to be the gameplay peak of the Nintendo-era, if not 6. It builds on what 1 and 3 started and the job combos can be fun to play with. That said, I'll admit that part of my ranking it so high is a particularly impressive mod known as "Custom Classes", which allows you to swap out basically all of the commands, meaning that you can carry over more than one skill between jobs. I haven't finished a full playthrough of CC yet, but between that and the reasons I gave for FF3, I'll be willing to give the edge to 5 over it.
Also, 5 gave us Gilgamesh and ExDeath (and indirectly eScape, and therefore The Twinning).
Honorable Mentions:
Dissidia (012): I don't know how to feel about this game. Settingwise: I love the ways it expands the FF1 mythos, but I hate how WoL is a manikin and what that implies for the rest of the FF1 party. It gave me my favorite portrayal of Garland, but it also gave me Onion Knight, whom I resent for sidelining Luneth's party in later crossovers. Even gameplaywise, I like the general gameplay, at least on paper, but I think I get far frustrated with it more than I would with a normal fighting game. Yet, I keep playing or get the urge to keep playing. Maybe it deserves to be on the list? Maybe it doesn't?
Final Fantasy VIII: I haven't gotten far in FFVIII (I finished the Dollet mission) but what I've played so far feels promising as far as my first PS1-era FF goes (some perfectionism on my part aside). Junctioning is an 'interesting' mechanic, but I think I like it. I need to get the hang of Triple Triad, but I can understand how people get hooked on it.
Final Fantasy Dimensions: Albeit with the mother of all asterisks: This is here mostly for the 'idea' than the execution right now. Like the other FFT games, I do have it ready for play, I just haven't gotten around to it, because when I play games on my phone, it's usually the gatchas that I'm stockholm syndrome'd to playing right now and it's rare for me to not be playing at least 2 at a time. At some point I do want to get around to actually playing it, but until it gets like a steam release or something, it'll be one of those "get to it eventually" type games.
Final Fantasy: Admittedly, it has been ages since I played through FF1 (relatively speaking) compared to every other game on this list aside from FFE, so I don't know how much mention it merits. But I'll put it here anyway.
