Crystals, Herbs, Rants

I've always loved crystals. The fascination started as a kid when we visited the coast a few times a year. The old seashore shop was full of glass fishing floats, life saving appartuses, storm worn wood, jewelry (mood rings!!) & lots of toys but mainly LOTS of crystals! Geodes of amethyst & quartz, huge slabs of Obsidian - green & black, like what I have, but much smaller. It is Seaside, Ore. Greatest place on the North coast (Astoria too!).

The Ore. coast should be more known for crystal shops. There's a great one closer to me now in Yachats, Ore. (Said: Yah-hawts) Obvious Native Americans did own this place. 😉Like our Willamette, said Will-am-met, which translates to "valley of sickness." Lovely! Sorry, ADD brain is jumbled.

Back to crystals n shit! They are essential to my work. I don't wave them and get a magic breeze with a "Aahhhh." Nope, get to know me, I'm extremely practical. My crystals are clean, but never, ever saged - because I despise sage & I think that it's an anathema to everything, every energy out there. I would rather go find dry pine needles in the desert and use those. And what's the deal with Dragon's Blood atop of sage? Nightmare of odor! Smoke & mess, no thanks.

I've written books on herbalism (long out of print) and I'm very knowledgeable about plants, resins, oils, tinctures, even marijuana & making hemp oil (known commercially as RSO) for medicine. I did not get ANY of my knowledge from the internet & I find some seriously messed up herbal correspondences online. I got my information from books, but old ones, like Culpeper, Grieve, Agrippa as well as a couple good Witchcraft sources like Sybil Leek & L. Huebner, neither of them being "white" light. Paul Huson is much known & borrowed from for ppl online. Trust me, his stuff does not compare. I also have other Witchcraft books predating 1960 that help me tremendously. Where did I get these?

Hunting old book stores & thrift stores because my town is a freaking *haven* for witchcraft, but not quite my style, so I've always been solitary. I'm much too misanthropic to have any relationship with anyone in person. Online? Sure, just beware of my barbs, though I'm not even close to being a Scorpio. 😅

I'm not claiming to know much, just a lot of little details about certain things & I'm shady on other things. I know what I paid attention to. All goety - good. High magic - mostly, a lot I fudge because I hate Crowley's, Mathers, Regardie's....etc, mumbo jumbo. I won't make an effort and I won't even remember the LBRP! Why? Hated the ritual & all the goddamn vibration. I don't vibrate in my practice, except when I have to - really loud banishment rituals, usually of lesser known demons and amped up strong spirits. Ppl who've known me a long time can attest to my hatred of "ceremonial" magic. Just because ppl call it 'high magic' doesn't make it superior to 'low' magic, or goety.

Some are suited to certain types of magic, everyone has a niche somewhere. The niche can be found quickly, or in my case, it can take 20 years. Never knew that working with muertos would be the my path. Yes, Orisa, and they are equal. Equal I say? Well - I'm NOT in a Orisa religion. I agree with some, but not a lot. I completely disagree with initiations being forced. And they ARE forced. Sorry.

Yeah, pay for this, pay for that. Bollocks. No cash for enlightenment!! I know exactly where the money goes & it's not needed. People raise & board animals for sacrifice. Non-initiates can cook food. Setting up ceremony is not that hard. They want money for fancier soperas & temple goodies. I can understand paying for time, but it doesn't need to cost thousands of dollars.

OK OFMD Astrology headcanons (modern western astrology). I have thought the most about Ed. Feel free to argue with me if you're an astrology bitch

Stede- Leo sun (canon, Man For Sale, Gentleman Pirate), Scorpio moon (He is emotionally constipated but he has a lot of depth), Virgo Venus (jealous, 90% acts of service by mass)

Ed- Pisces Sun (idk what to tell you hes a pisces), Cancer moon (Highly Emotional Person), Scorpio Rising (people tend to have incorrect assumptions about him, he contains many hidden depths, he comes off as intimidating when that's not the case), Gemini Mercury (charismatic social chameleon), Taurus Moon (just wants to be taken care of, likes stuff), Scorpio Mars (the bitch loves mind games, Inventor of the fuckery)

Usually Pisces mars or Pisces placements are (in)famous for being a fetishist; but personally I found more subtle placements in Pisces liking feets, like Lilith, Eros, asteroid Lust or Mars being aspected by Neptune. Also to some degree even placements in Aquarius but mostly Capricorn could have a liking for legs and feets.

i’ve posted about this before in kind of oblique joking terms but one of my professors in college whom i truly adored and admired, with whom i exchanged many emails even after i wasn’t in her classes (though i took as many of them as i could), and who was probably the closest thing i had to a ‘mentor’ in the admittedly flimsy academic structure of my undergraduate program is now a huge antivaxxer and general conspiracy theorist. she was always rather caustic and prone to luddism (she railed often against stuff like tinder killing romance and serendipity) and we certainly didn’t agree on a lot of media-related stuff, but that was something i really liked about her: i liked that we had such different tastes but that we still respected one another. she was intelligent and incredibly well-read, and it was in her classes that i first encountered many of the texts that would become foundational for my writing and general worldview—marxist psychoanalysis and sarah schulman and hilton als and derek jarman’s blue, to name a few. i always felt like i learned from her even when i disagreed with her (on media, not politics—i.e. she thought almost famous was drivel and that say anything was cameron crowe’s masterpiece; i think the opposite). but her criticism of contemporary society and media always seemed like it was rooted in a deep love of culture despite that—as in, she only hated so much recent crap because she knew that we deserved better as audiences and could do better as creators.

she also liked to talk about astrology (“ad-rock is the perfect example of a scorpio man!”) and homeopathic shit (my friend once emailed her saying she couldn’t come to class because she had a bad cold and she told her to take a shot of liquid oregano and come in anyway), but i ignored it because astrology especially was a common lighthearted talking point at my school. midway through 2020 she started posting on her blog about how frustrated she was with all the lockdown measures and the general state of the world, as we all were, and then it devolved so quickly from there into full-on antivax stuff. i’m talking pull quotes from RFK jr. and celia farber and glenn greenwald and even fucking joe rogan, and other shit like that. and now her whole blog is just pages and pages of antivax nonsense when she used to post screencaps from bresson films and excerpts from james baldwin’s writing. i feel like her blog could be used as a case study for the slippery slope of antivax conspiracy theory culture, how it started with one or two comments and then devolved into...whatever it is now. especially because she doesn’t fit the stereotypical antivax profile, because she was a marxist professor at a left-leaning liberal arts university who was known particularly for her critical thinking skills! 

it makes me so sad, for mostly selfish reasons, because this was someone who is ultimately the source of so much of the influential work i now hold dear, and it’s difficult for that to not feel tainted now—even though the work obviously exists on its own with or without her. but it also makes me sad because reading her blog reveals the extent to which this kind of paranoia is truly so isolating (ironic lol) and how it feeds a genuine, livid hatred of the world that can never be satiated or soothed. you can’t enjoy anything with a worldview like that, as much as people who think this way claim that their fealty to capital-T Truth is based on wanting what’s best for humanity. i can’t imagine how exhausting and thankless and lonely it must be to go through life with that mindset. there’s no love in it, no grace. i think it’s pathetic, really. (in between the antivax stuff she talks about how miserable and exhausted she always is, how she isn’t moved by anything anymore, and the connection seems so obvious. how can she not realize it?) but i do still think it’s possible to critique contemporary society and media in the way that i thought my professor was doing while i was still her student���that is to say, with love: we do deserve better and can do better. but whatever she’s doing now isn’t that.

i suppose i’d like to think that she could change someday. we were still exchanging emails when she started posting that BS (i didn’t know; i wasn’t checking her blog) and not much seemed amiss to me, but obviously i haven’t contacted her in a while since. it’s a funny way to lose someone, i guess.

NCT Dream Birth Charts x Hexaco Results Analysis pt. 3

recently NCT Dream were on a new reality show called Mental Training Camp where they are doing a variety of activities and all of their behavior and interactions are being analyzed by professional psychologists

ofc my virgo sun mercury ass was thrilled and I had their birth charts pulled up the whole time to cross reference.

I wanted to share some of my personal thoughts on how the 2 might connect!

Haechan - “Popular and Ambitious” 

✨gemini sun // leo moon // cancer mercury // gemini venus // gemini mars✨

they started Haechans analyses by labeling him as popular and ambitious, and even without looking at the hexaco or his birth chart these 2 traits are very easy to see in him. Haechans birth chart and hexaco are really interesting and almost refreshing to me because everything is so straightforward. I honestly think Haechan is a very what you see is what you get kind of person. I think the psychologists on the show were feeling some of that interest and refreshing feeling too because they described him as being very different from the rest of the group (and the college students), and kind of special. A somewhat rare personality.

the first thing they talked about was his insane level of extroversion. I have to say when I first saw that I choked on air a little. Not only is it just ridiculously high, but it’s also so obvious given his birth chart too. looking at the hexaco chart, the focus on extroversion and then how the other areas are either just around the average or below is very interesting to me. we saw something similar in a few of the previous dreamies too. Some of them had highly above average scores for one area and to me that says a lot about the dominant parts of their personality. 

Looking at haechans birth chart, we all know he’s practically on par with Seventeens Hoshi for being an iconic gemini. Having such a social, extroverted and excitable sign in 3 different planets will certainly make someone extroverted, but charts have to be looked at as a whole as well and he’s also fortunate to have a leo moon because it doesn’t add any kind of introversion. He is a pure excitable, affectionate and social extrovert. His extroversion can be seen in the ways he’s very interested in whats happening “out there”. Gemini’s are very curious and restless and like to explore the world and environment around them, and have a lot to gain from connecting with people. 

Right after they mentioned this though, they quickly added that it’s actually somewhat rare for highly extroverted people to be highly conscientious too. If you look at his hexaco his next highest scores are conscientiousness and openness. Even though gemini is a mutable sign and likes to try new things and stay entertained, they are some of the most determined people I’ve ever met. You do not want to get in between a Gemini and their work. Gemini is a very mental sign as well, they’re good with tasks and enjoy getting them done and focusing on their work. As well as his firey Leo moon. Leo is a sign that I often think can change quite a lot depending on the chart and houses but his with the gemini, is creating a highly focused, ambitious and driven person. 

they described him as the “relief pitcher” for the team when in crisis. He’s the one that comes into the game for a round or 2 when things aren’t going well to secure their win, then steps back out. If this isn’t the most accurate description for haechan and gemini/leo?! Leo and Gemini are both highly intelligent signs, I feel like people don’t talk about that a lot with leo but it’s true! Also his combination of leo with gemini is interesting because sometimes people have drive, ambition and passion, but there are other placement that kind of complicate how it gets expressed. And they can’t always fulfill all of their desires and passions. But having all gemini and that one leo is really in his favor, he’s very “this is what I want, so I’m going to get it”. It’s easy for him. He can easily bring his ambitions to fruition which is why he’s the “relief pitcher”. It’s gemini magic and leo talent honestly.

this was the extent of what they said for Haechan but I have more I’d like to add! 

his openness is on par with his conscientiousness and that is also no surprise because even though gemini gets a rep. for being “detached” it’s actually a fairly open sign too. What gemini is open about depends greatly on the other placements, and in haechans case with his only other influences being leo and cancer, he can easily be open about those traits and desires. The attention, validation, love and affection. They are all very big parts of him, and he also has no problem speaking his mind. But he also isn’t as obsessive as other leo and cancer combinations because of his overwhelming gemini. It’s very “in this second I want affection” and then the next second he’s over it. With haechan I’ve always found it interesting how he is so openly affectionate but it never seems like an unhealthy attachment thing? he isn’t reliant on it, and can easily go from wanting it, to not. It’s very uncomplicated. This is also part of the Gemini rep. they are very flighty and their minds change by the second, but are also very self-reliant and independent. This is also why his emotionality is low even though his openness is high. Again, I don’t think he’s an emotionally driven person, he’s just open with his desires. 

tldr; talented, confident, skilled, self-sufficient and independent. He is driven by exploring the world and people around him, he enjoys making connections. Very open about his thoughts and needs, but emotionally uncomplicated. His drive and ambition is bottomless, never-ending. What he wants, he gets. 

Jaemin - “Optimistic My Way”

I would like to start by saying that Jaemin is the sole reason that it took me so long to get this post out. This boy has always, and probably always will, confuse the hell out of me. And I’m sure he likes it that way. Actually, I’m confident he likes it that way because he admitted to the psychologists that on the test they took he answered number 3 for every question, so he wouldn’t have to reveal too much about himself. This is why they labeled him as “my way”, very “do what I want” kind of person. They said he really made them use a lot of brain power, and I relate lol. Even outside of this post every time I watch nct dream I’m always trying to understand Jaemin. So here goes my best shot at understanding this man. 

they mentioned jaemin is difficult and complicated, he’s hard to read, and he’s someone that cannot be perfectly described with one personality test. I agree, which is why I hope one day we can get those house placements please! 

The first thing that caught my attention based off his chart is how small his blue hexagon is. I actually had to double check that the blue was him and not the average😅 because of how he answered the test I don’t know how accurate the hexaco is? they didn’t really comment on that but they did continue to reference it. 

the main thing they talked about with Jaemin was about how he is very aware of what he does and doesn’t like, he knows who he gets along with and who he doesn’t, he has no problems showing when he doesn’t like something, and he is very uninterested and borderline apathetic when it comes to things and people he is simply not interested in. 

I think where I get really tripped up with Jaemin is because he has 3 leo placements, yet I feel like he doesn’t act much like a typical leo in my opinion? At least not to the cameras. I honestly think Jaemin might be someone who is very different off camera and at home. When I see jaemin I see flashes of it, but I get a lot of his earth influence. 

I want to start with his capricorn moon because I feel like it’s something i see the most in him. For starters, it is literally why he is so private. Even before this show, it was a well known thing amongst NCTzens that Jaemin is a very private person. He also comes off as very reserved, in control and calm. Jaemin answering every question with a 3, so that it neither over or under represents him, but puts him in the questionable middle, is very capricorn moon. Not wanting to be understood. Not wanting to appear as having any exact problems. They’re practical, controlled, level-headed... right? They’re not the ones with messy emotions, couldn’t be them.... That’s the whole capricorn struggle. The moon is put in a very tough spot with Capricorn. Scorpio moons are in fall and Capricorns are in detriment. But it works very differently. Scorpios have wickedly intense emotions that they are kind of scared of, so they hide them, but they want to be understood and feel safe enough to express them. Capricorn moons straight up deny their feelings. 

On the bright side though, I feel like his Capricorn moon is also responsible for the other part of his personality which is: how weird he is. Capricorn moons are also known for being ridiculously funny and weird. Very weird. I think this is also where his Leo comes in and kind of teams up with his moon. Leo’s are natural performers and sometimes when I watch Jaemin I find myself being like “he is really putting on a show right now” but not in a bad way, I’m always highly entertained lol. He is a natural performer.  

In haechan’s section I mentioned how, to me, leo is one of the signs that can change so drastically depending on the other planets and houses. I think jaemin is a really good example of this, because even without his hexaco chart we all know Jaemin is a huge introvert. He is actually a self-proclaimed introvert. He is open is the way he shows it, and he even said in a show that talking with people is hard because he loses so much energy. I think his Capricorn and Virgo play a big role in this and it’s why I’m so curious what his houses are and where that leo is. Because even though our moons affect us a lot, with 3 leo placements i would expect someone to be a little more extroverted. 

Where I also see a lot of his Leo though, is of course, with how affectionate he is. he’s also very creative and a huge provider. A big misconception with leo is that all they do is take. This is one side to leo, and Haechan is a good example of that side because he has the gemini and leo moon, but Jaemin is a really good example of the strong provider and caretaker side of Leo. With his earth placements too. he is definitely someone who prides himself on taking care of people. 

now to compare his hexaco to his birth chart, his extroversion, emotionality, agreeableness and honesty-humility is lower than average. Sure, part of that could be the way he took the test, but I also think it can be seen in his very controlling earth placements. Having earth in 2 of the planets that hold a lot of our emotions and expression, and the fact that it is virgo and capricorn and not taurus, is making him very in control of his emotions and expression, and he has strong boundaries. It also makes him more introverted. The low agreeableness is just his whole chart honestly. honestly everyone in my family is a doctor (I’d be a fourth generation doctor, yikes) at this point there’s a lot of paraphernalia I’ve ‘inherited’ as a med student too but specifically my grandpa really inspired me. He’d at times discuss the cases he had with me and he was the coolest man for me (after my dad of course, that guy’s built different I swear)

                             Chapter 5: Saturn 

There was a rare occurrence that happens sometimes in Space where a Planet will tilt off its axis and disrupt the order of things in the galaxy forever. Even though it hasn’t happened yet, it doesn't make it not possible. You had always thought about that phenomenon and how you never quite understood how so many scientists just blindly believed in that possibility with no proof. It wasn’t until that dance with Spencer that you believed in it. If you were the galaxy, that dance was the tilt in your axis. 

Nothing could quite be the same again. 

It seemed that Spencer himself was the disruptor. 

Since that day, everything between the two of you was different. It was simpler. It was too easy to have conversations, to laugh at each other's jokes, to spit inane useless facts at each other. But it also became too easy to melt at Spencer’s bright smile, too easy to stare at his hands as he helped you with your math sometimes, too easy to flush whenever he paid you a compliment on your work. 

Too easy to fall in love with him. 

You didn’t want to think about that but you couldn’t help it. At first, you wanted to chalk it up to you not knowing how to differentiate your feelings. Maybe you just thought you were in love with him because he was the first guy to be nice to you since Jonathan but as the days went on you knew that to not be the case. None of this felt like how you were with Jonathan. With Spencer, it just felt easy. Just felt right. 

It was the weekend so you had off work. Before you would always end up going into work anyway and getting some extra logs in but now you liked staying in and hanging out with Spencer. Right now the two of you were walking in the plaza near your home, fresh cups of coffee in hand. Spencer, at first, did not want to be out but after some convincing (which was just you threatening to leave without him, which he did not like) he was all for joining you out. The two of you stopped in a bookstore and you made a beeline for the astrology section. You hear Spencer scoff when you pick up a book to look through it. You raise an eyebrow at him. 

“What?” You say. 

“Astrology, really? Aren’t you a scientist?” 

“Yea, an astronomer. I love Space, so while Astrology isn’t a proven science. It’s fun to think the stars have a say in what kinda person you are.” You shrug. “When’s your birthday?” 

“October 28th.” 

“Of course you’re a Scorpio.” 

“That doesn’t mean anything to me. Astrology isn’t real.” 

“You must be real fun at parties.” You roll your eyes. 

“Well, what’s your sign?” 

“I’m a Cancer. Did you know that water signs are the most compatible? Especially Scorpios and Cancers.” 

Spencer laughs out loud at that. You turn looking him in the eye. “What’s funny?” you say. 

“That itself doesn’t tell you that astrology is bullshit?” He laughs. You narrow your eyes at him. “I mean, us, compatible? It’s funny.” 

You try. You try so very hard not to look hurt by his words, you know Spencer’s a profiler and will see right through it. And he does by the sympathetic look he gives you. 

“You’re right, maybe it is bullshit.” You say, putting the book down instantly. “Let’s go home.” 

You and Spencer don’t talk the whole walk home, in fact you don’t talk when you get there. You’re about to just retreat to your room when you feel a hand circle your wrist. 

“I’m sorry.” He says. 

“You didn’t do anything.” 

“I hurt your feelings.” He says. 

“You didn’t hurt my feelings.” You lied. “I’m just with you all the time. Sometimes I just need a minute alone. Is that okay?” 

He lets go of your wrist. “Of course, I’m sorry.” 

You nod and retreat to your room, blowing a heavy breath as you fell into your bed. Might as well take a nap. You thought as you let sleep take you over.

Long, slender fingers found their way into your hair and yanked roughly. You couldn’t help the soft whimper that came behind it. You felt the lips that were sucking hard bruising marks into your neck smirk slightly. His other hand trailed your body lightly until they met their final destination at your sex. You gasp loudly when the digit rubbed soft circles around your clit. 

“Are you going to be good for me?” He asked, you nodded dumbly before moaning out loud when the first digit found its way inside you. Spencer smirked at you. “Look at you. I’ve barely touched you and you’re this wet for me. You want me to fuck you, don’t you?” He asked, you nodded and gasped again as he found that spot inside you. “Hmm, I don’t think you want it enough baby.”   

You’re shaking your head immediately. “No. Ple-please fuck me.” You stutter. “I’ll be good, I swear.” 

The smirk he gives you is almost devilish. “Alright, baby. I’ll take care of you.” He says as you feel member pressing up against your sex--

You wake up to the smell of something burning and Spencer shouting expletives from what you assumed was the kitchen. You groaned, frustratedly. Since that day your mom came to visit, you dreamed of Spencer almost constantly. Today was no different. You couldn’t escape him in your waking hours and now it seemed you couldn’t even escape him sleeping. 

You hop out of bed and run to the kitchen. The sight before is Spencer frantically waving the billowing smoke that was coming from your oven. You run to open your window and turn the oven fan on. You both look at the pan that had something that couldn’t even be described as food anymore by the degree of which it was burned. Spencer looked at you guiltily. 

“You seemed upset so I thought I’d make you dinner but I was reading and I lost track of time. I’m sorry, Y/N.” 

You smile at him. “Thank you for thinking of me but I wanted chinese tonight anyway, sound good?”  You say, he nods gratefully. 

Later the two of you are sitting at your kitchen table, eating chinese out of the takeaway containers. You were talking about nothing and everything until the topic came to College. You talked about how freshman year you did the whole partying thing before quickly finding out it wasn’t your scene and keeping to yourself for the rest of your college career. Spencer told you he never went to any parties in college. 

“You never went to any parties?!” You asked, shocked.

“Well, I was 12. No one was really scrambling to invite me to frat parties.” 

“So you didn’t do any traditional college games? No beer pong? No ‘Never Have I Ever’?” You ask, Spencer shakes his head. That’s when you get a fantastic idea. You get up and look in the cabinet above your stove which is where you kept your liquor and pulled out a bottle of Jameson. Spencer sees this and immediately shakes his head. 

“No.” 

“Aww, come on. Let’s play Never Have I Ever.” You smile. “If you’ve done the thing you drink.” 

“I don’t want to play a remedial drinking game.” 

You think for a second. “How about this? You’re a profiler, right? And I like to think I’m a little observant so how about this. We’ll take turns making assumptions about the other if the person is right, the other drinks and if they’re wrong, you drink.” 

“I don’t know… it probably isn’t wise for me to be drinking. I’m supposed to be watching you.” 

“It’s not like we go anywhere that’s not here anyway.” You say. “Plus, if you're good at your job, you’ll hardly have to drink.” You throw a pouty face on for good measure. Spencer rolls his eyes. 

“Fine.” He says standing up and snatching the bottle from you, walking to the living room. You giggle at him before grabbing two glasses to follow him out. “Just so you know, it’s wrong to peer pressure people.” He says. 

“Well, what’s a college drinking game without peer pressure.” You laugh.

“Who’s starting?” You say as you watch Spencer pour your glass. The two of you are settled on opposite ends of your small couch, facing each other, your knees just almost touching. 

“You can.” Spencer says. “I want to see if you're actually observant.” 

“Okay.” You say, sitting up slightly at the challenge. “You’re an only child.” You say. Spencer raises his eyebrows at you, shocked you actually got something right, but drinks anyway. 

Spencer looks at you for a second. “You have an older sibling you are not close to.” 

You drank. “Yea I’ve got an adoptive older brother. There’s nothing wrong, it’s just he was already much older when I was born and we have nothing in common, other than our parents.” You look at Spencer for a second. “I wanna say divorced parents, but only raised by one.” 

“You’re a lot more observant than I thought.” Spencer says as he drinks. “Dad left when I was 10.” He says offhandedly. 

The game goes like this for a while, both of you confirming your beliefs of each other. You find out about Spencer’s mother's illness, Spencer learning you smoke when you’re stressed. Spencer was winning though, not that you had a problem with that as you wanted to drink, hence why you suggested the game. You were giving him a little bit of a run for his money. It was now your turn and the alcohol in your system must’ve turned off your filter because you say. 

“You’re a virgin.” 

You pause for a second waiting for him to drink when you realize he’s waiting on you to. You widen your eyes in shock but take your drink anyway. “I thought Maeve died before you got to meet her fully.” 

Spencer nods. “She did.” He says, “The two don’t correlate.” He says, like it's obvious. 

You hadn’t been expecting that. “You just didn’t strike as the hit it and quit it type.” 

“And I’m not, but sometimes things are just temporary.” He says looking at you, deeply in your eyes. “You were upset today, in the shop because I said we weren’t compatible.”  

You solemnly take a drink. “Why?” He asks. 

“Hey, that’s not a part of the game.” You say. 

“Please?” He adds. 

You sigh. “I don’t know… I guess, it seemed like the idea of being with me repulsed you. And that was upsetting.” 

Spencer looks at you with the most intense look in his eye. You had never seen that look before and you were glad you hadn’t because it was so heated that it was melting you where you sat. “The idea of being with you…” He says, eyes flickering down to your lips and back to your eyes. “Doesn’t repulse me. Trust me.” 

You knew you weren’t the best at social cues sometimes but that seemed like a pretty big one. You move closer to him, so that your faces were close but someone would still have to make that final move. You realize it’s your turn, so you think, Fuck it...  

“You want to kiss me right now.” You say, looking Spencer in his eyes. He doesn’t say anything, just takes a slow swig from his glass, eyes never leaving yours. He sits his glass down on the table next to him before saying. 

“You want me to kiss you.” 

You sip your drink, looking him right back in the eyes. You sit your glass down next to his and Spencer's hand catches your wrist on its way back. Before you can even get a good look at him, his lips are crashing on to yours. You groan in surprise before melting into it, your hands immediately going for his hair. His massive hands almost engulf your face as he tries to pull you impossibly close to him. He groans as he licks into your mouth, both of you tasting like the Jameson you had just drunk but there was also something under it that was just pure Spencer. You push him back until you are fully seated in his lap. His hands go immediately to your waist. Feeling risky, you experimentally grind your hips, causing Spencer to groan and grip you tighter. His hands slide up your shirt slightly, you moan at that. 

“Fuck-” Spencer says as you suck bruises down his neck. “Fuck, w-we’ve gotta stop.” 

You pull back. “Why?” you ask. 

Spencer swallows, pushing you off his lap. “There’s this thing called transference. You only want me right now because I’m protecting you. You don’t like me.” He says. “We don’t like each other.” 

You realized what Spencer was trying to say. You were both drunk and there, he didn’t really want you. It was being stuck together for so long that was making him attracted to you. You were foolish to think a guy would actually want you. 

“You don’t like me.” You say. “And I read this situation wrong again. God, I’m an idiot!”  

“I didn’t say that, Y/N-” 

“No, you’re right. You only kissed me because I’m what you’ve been stuck with for weeks. You don’t like me. I can’t blame you no guy ever does.” 

“No, Y/N, I just didn’t want to take advan--” 

“I need to smoke. I’m going out.” You say, grabbing. “Alone.” 

“Y/N, that’s not safe and you know it. Let me go with you.” 

“I think we both need to be away from each other. I’ll only be out front. Please.” You plead to him. 

  Spencer doesn’t say anything so you take that as your cue to go. You pull your pack and lighter out the kitchen draw and stomp out the door. As soon as you get in front of the building, you light the first cigarette as stray tears fall down your face. You were such an idiot to think someone like Spencer would want you. Sure you were both smart but you were arrogant and spiteful. Spencer was the sweetest person ever when you got to know him. It was stupid to think there was a world the two of you would work. 

You frustratedly put your cigarette out and stand to head back inside to probably embarrass yourself some more when you feel it. 

The hard slam to the back of your head knocking you out cold.

Felix sweet boy baby angel but Christopher Bang is literally Satan? Idk if you saw but Hyunjin ratted him out on live and said the lyrics for Red Light were toned down. I don’t want to know. I don’t. i am so happy you sent me this ask because i have been looking for an excuse to talk about red lights. I sent leon and margot a seven minute long voice message when i was doing my research for my red lights-inspired fic like that's where i'm at.

First, yes, I saw Hyunjin's comments! that's what chris gets for trying to say hyunjin wrote all the lyrics in the first place. nice try, chris. also, his scorpio venus is SEXY. i won't be taking criticism on this opinion.

so, credit where credit's due--I skimmed this and this reddit posts while I was doing my research.

now. we all know that on the surface, this song is about sex (and specifically bondage and edging—that much is clear). but, ah, how's the saying go? "everything is about sex except for sex, which is about power"? sure.

yeah, it's meant to be sexy. they did that for us and im still not sure if I want to kill them for it or thank them with my life. BUT, as they mentioned in the howl in harmony video, it's primarily a song about obsession.

The first reddit post does a great (albeit kind of aggressive) breakdown of the lyrics, where it becomes really clear that they're talking about the relationship they have with their work and the relationship they have with fans. In essence, the song is about how they want to give their lives and all their time to making more content for fans so that they will continue to receive love from us. The red lights are actually the recording light on a camera (hence the line “set the mic up”).

And so a relationship like the one depicted here is dark and intense, and yes—passionate and driven by love—but ultimately, it consumes itself in the vortex of its own desire, and then peters out into a sort of blank monotony—learned through repetition, a habitual reflex instead of a true reaction.

Then, the second reddit post goes on a deep dive of some of the symbolism seen in the MV—specifically, the use of kink. This is where it gets really fun.

We mostly see Hyunjin in shibari-style bondage. OP posits (and I agree) that he is meant to represent passion without discipline. The shibari ropes are tied messily (and so therefore dangerously) which is perfect for representing how often kink (and other obsessions) can devolve—you plunge in headfirst, but you are directionless except for the insistent tug in your gut that cries for more, more.

Chan, on the other hand, is seen primarily (esp in solo scenes) bound by heavy chains. He represents discipline with no passion. In the Howl in Harmony video, I believe he mentions that after a long day of practice, he'll still find himself in the recording studio, even though he's tired. He does what he has to on autopilot, because he knows he must, because it’s the only thing he feels he can do.

If Hyunjin is mania, then Chan is depression. The chains are GREAT symbolism because this dutiful march towards burnout and beyond is, as the lyrics suggest, stemming from a desire to keep receiving love (from fans)—that if you just work hard enough then no one will ever leave you. You wish to bind the person (or people) you love to you, but in the end the bonds only weigh you down.

So then the part where they’re tied together, back to back, at the end, shows when passion and discipline come into balance. And that’s creation for the love of creation while still maintaining a respect for yourself, the art, and your audience. (or idk. maybe they just thought we'd like to see them tied to one another. and they were right).

It's also fun because while we see Hyunjin and Chan both assume positions of domination and submission, it's clear Chan is meant to be the “dominant force” here (hence discipline). The reason we do see instances of Hyunjin in power (choking Chan, standing over him on the table) is because any somewhat healthy d/s relationship involves first the surrender of power. The dom is only perceived to be in power because the sub first relinquishes it them. So. You know.

I will say I'm not sure what to say about the edging theme (BNKSJDF) besides the obvious—almost giving you what you want, but not quite.

And finally, this is not part of either of those two reddit posts, but I was ENTHRALLED by the use of mirror and mirror-esque imagery throughout the MV and in the choreo. I love mirrors as a symbol so we're going to talk about that, too.

First and most obviously, it may be a bit on the nose. In art, mirrors and reflections are often used to show that there is a deeper meaning than what is clear on the surface. So this might have just been hyunchan going "hey! it's not just about sex!"

but I think there's more to it than that. Mirrors are often used as a vessel of truth—in some Chinese myths, for example, mirrors can repel demons, as they will show a demon’s true form. Or see the Little Mermaid—though Ursula managed to change her outward appearance, she was caught in her lie when another character (sebastian, i think?) saw her reflection in the mirror.

Additionally, one’s reflection used to be thought to contain one’s soul—which is why mirrors were covered in the home of person who had just passed, so they would not be trapped as a ghost in the world of the living.

For this reason, mirrors are often also considered dangerous. Think of Narcissus, for a start, who fell in love with his own reflection and sat at the water's edge, pining, until he fucking died. Or consider the following quote (which I love) from Fernando Pessoa:

“Man shouldn’t be able to see his own face – there’s nothing more sinister. Nature gave him the gift of not being able to see it, and of not being able to stare into his own eyes. Only in the water of rivers and ponds could he look at his face. And the very posture he had to assume was symbolic. He had to bend over, stoop down, to commit the ignominy of beholding himself. The inventor of the mirror poisoned the human heart.”

We use mirrors to watch ourselves watching ourselves (and the Margaret Atwood who lives in our heads cries “male fantasies, male fantasies! You are you own voyeur!”). We perform for the mirror—often what we see in the mirror is not actually how we are seen by others! We think we may find truth there, when in reality it is a distortion. Ties itself up really nicely, I think.

In any case, this really goes well with the theme of obsession in the song—staring in the mirror asking, what do others see? What is wrong about me? What can I do better? The idea of looking in the mirror to seek what others see, both positive and negative, is common throughout. And I think their use of mirrored choreo (esp when it seems like one of them is the reflection!!), as well as mirror placement on the set of the mv, and ESPECIALLY the lovely bit at the end where they both stand staring carefully at their own reflections, all work to drive that theme home.

and i don't even know how to touch on all the color symbolism (when it changes between color and b&w?? the palette being overwhelmingly yellow and red and black???), or the lens filters (warping, blurring, etc), or the way they superimposed pieces of the video on top of other pieces, or the use of that one stark white background—without writing a fucking dissertation (and this is already a ridiculously long post) so i'll just stop here.

This is all to say, maybe what they meant was that the lyrics were a lot more aggressive about these themes and they were asked to tone them down to keep it neutral.

or maybe they're just sexy, sexy motherfuckers and their managers bonked them on the head and sent them to horny jail.

Just A Normal Guy Simon is fun to write. i think very often about his relationship with godot ( @kagoshou​ ). the parallels between them are just...mwah, and i think godot is pretty much the ONLY person who could see through his bullshit any time before the turnabout for tomorrow trial (save edgeworth). that’s something that would obviously be uncomfortable/scary for him, and it’s fun to write how he copes with that final shoutout goes to dahlia ( @bloodthirstyflower​ ). it’s so fucking fun to write simon at his most assholish. also, i think dahlia brings out a side of simon that itself is a little more,,,cruel? she’s definitely a bad influence on him and i love it. they’re both master manipulators, and writing their back-and-forth is so so so enjoyable.

i saw that ask you mentioned me in (you're so right btw!!) and even though i literally just woke up i am now In My Feelings about lee know. the thing that pisses me off about the "meanhoe" nickname and the way that some stays treat him is that, and i've said this in the tags of a lot of 2kr gifsets before, but me and lee know have the exact same personality. call it Scorpio Things or whatever, but when it comes to showing affection to the people we care about, lee know and me are exactly the same. i noticed it the most during the 2kr episode with him and chan, watching it felt so familiar because it was like every close friendship i've ever had - the other person would be acting all cute and clingy and i'd be like 🙄😒 but actually i'd appreciate a lot and in return i'd just like...... take care of them? we're the mum friends, like we're ride or die and we'll look after you and we'll love you forever but we're also going to complain about it the entire time. so when those stays act like lee know is actually genuinely being mean and cold it extra breaks my heart because it's so obvious to me that he's not. me and lee know look cold on the outside but on the inside we're made up entirely of heart emojis, we're like cats that show we love you by sitting quietly in the same room as you. and the fact that stays have even said it to him?? like actually told him on vlive that they think he's mean??? unthinkable, that must be so upsetting for him ☹ obviously the members understand him and love him and know that when he's being sassy or threatening their lives he doesn't actually mean it so like, how can people calling themselves a stay not get that? when it's so obviously the case??? idk man

Assigning Zodiac Signs to Greek Gods

Zeus - Sagittarius 

*sigh*, my sign. During Sag season too, LMAO.

Sag is ruled by Jupiter, which is Zeus's Roman counterpart. And it's fitting. It's the planet of expansion and good luck which relates to Zeus. He was the only one of his siblings who wasn't swallowed by his father, which makes him pretty lucky to me. Zeus is a cheating fuckboy, with a love for chasing tail that is the root cause for about 90% of all the issues and conflicts in ancient Greek mythology...that's a pretty typical Sag male move. It's no secret that Sags can be hoes (I say this with love🤗). According to the myths, Zeus was actually a pretty fun, jovial guy who loved a good party, singing, dancing and some drink (the word "jovial" comes from his Roman name Jove/Jupiter). He's impulsive and has a bad temper when angered, though. All fairly Sag tendencies.

Poseidon - Pisces

Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the Roman counterpart to Poseidon. It makes sense that the god of the Sea would be a water sign. Uncle Sy was an emotional MESS in Greek mythology, he's been described as emotionally unstable, temperamental and moody. I'm sorry Pisces but (as someone with a Pisces mother) I can definitely see it. He was quite a hoe too, so I don't know if it's just a mutable sign thing (In which case, welcome to the Hoe club, Pisces👏🏾). His moods and emotions change like the tides (like Pisces), so he's either in a very good mood or a very bad one. Apparently he was quite the sweetheart when in a good mood, as well. Although, man gets a lot of good PR from the Percy Jackson series😒.

Hades - Scorpio

Obvious Scorpio is obvious💀. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, which is the planet of death and rebirth. Makes sense, as Hades rules over the underworld. Pluto is also Hades's Roman counterpart. Hades isn't technically an Olympian because he doesn't stay in Olympus, his kingdom is in the underworld. I think that's significant because Scorpios like to keep to themselves. The stereotype of Scorpio is that they're morbid, secretive and mysterious. Into the macabre. Kind of like an intellectual brooding, which all fits for Hades. He's not an unfair guy, though. Likely, more on the misunderstood side. I think the fact that only a few people (like his wife Persephone) understand him shows that he doesn't open up or get vulnerable easily or with just anyone. A very Scorpio trait.

Hestia - Cancer

We don't know much about Hestia's personality. She's demure, simple and rules over the hearth and home. Cancers tend to be family oriented. If not, they do have a significant relationship with their home (be that their actual house, or their hometown. Wherever "home" and the family is). The hearth is the centre of the household. It keeps the home warm and provides a place for the whole family to gather around to commune or just feel safe. So, I think that's fitting.

Hera - Virgo

Oh gosh, I can't help comparing her and Zeus's relationship to Jay-Z and Beyonce 😔. Bless her heart, that Sag man has her looking a fool. A complete fool 🤡. Anywho, Hera is beautiful and a perfectionist. Very regal, and strives to maintain perfection. Besides being the queen, Hera is also the goddess of motherhood, monogamy, family marriage, home and protector of all married, so I imagine that she's quite conservative and that (despite the fact that her family is a hot, hot mess) she likes to present the image of the perfect family, kind of like a first lady. She just brings to mind the type of wealthy lady-of-the-manor Virgo woman who runs a tight ship (i.e.: the house/the estate).

Demeter - Cancer 

I was debating on whether or not to make sis a Pisces. But, Cancer is linked to the mother and maternal instincts, which I think is fitting. Cancer is a very maternal sign (at least, there's a lot of significance with Cancer and its relationship to motherhood). The most famous myth involving Demeter is about her daughter Persephone being kidnapped by Hades, and how that affected her emotionally. Demeter is described as being very maternal, protective and kind and embodying a very specific type of love, the "mother's love". One the flip side though, she's also quite OVER-protective. She really does embody some of the more negative traits of Cancer as well such as smothering and being a bit over-bearing with her love. She also strikes me as the type to be emotionally manipulative and play the melodramatic "after all I've done for you, how could you be so cruel to your own mother😭" and "so what are you going to say at my funeral now that you've killed me😔" victim card that overbearing mothers like to use so much. But she doesn't play when it comes to her babies and loved ones.

Ares - Aries

Obvious Aries is obvious😠. Do I even need to say anything? Aries is ruled by Mars, which is Ares's Roman counter part. The planet Mars symbolizes raw masculine energy (you get words like "martial arts" from that), and so does Ares. Both Aries the sign and Ares the god are loud, quite aggressive, and they like conflict (they find it quite funny, and they can move on from it pretty quick, it doesn't really distress them). There's also the passion and explosive temper. Ares is also brave, strong and straight forward. He's also incredibly protective of those he loves. According to Greek mythology, the first murder was committed by Ares when he killed a man who raped (or tried to rape) his daughter, so don't fuck with an Aries's loved ones.

Athena - Capricorn

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. In astrology, the moon (which rules Cancer - Capricorn's opposite compliment) is The Mother. It's soft, maternal and nurturing. Saturn is The Father. It's the planet of obstacles and boundaries and is a very harsh, stern planet. Success will come, but only after learning some very hard lessons. If the moon is like a emotional parent that coddles and nurtures their child (Cancer), then Saturn is that strict, tough parent that teaches their child (Capricorn) from day dot that the world is going to be cruel and unfair, and so they want to break you to make you stronger and prepare you for the world. That's what I get from Athena. Athena was born fully grown and fully clothed (in battle gear, at that). She literally came into the world with her guard up. She's the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy (among other things), so she's very pragmatic and somewhat cold (not cruel, but just realistic). She's Zeus's favourite child, which links to her ruling planet being The Father. She's kind of like the embodiment of the woman who works in a male dominated field (which, she does) so she has to work harder, adopt more masculine traits and develop a harder exterior in order to survive and thrive. She's not the most emotional or vulnerable person either, and it's noteworthy that she never had a childhood (again, she was born fully grown), so she's never had any of the innocence and naivete.

Artemis - Cancer

With the twins (Artemis and Apollo), Apollo is the sun while Artemis is the moon. Since Cancer is ruled by the moon, it makes sense that Artemis would be a Cancerian. This is the third time I'm bringing up Cancer being maternal, but here we are. Artemis has a close relationship with her mother (she killed this one woman's 7 daughters, because said woman was talking smack about her mother), but Artemis also acts as a foster mother for a lot of different people. She's nurturing, compassionate and protective. Artemis is the protector of young women, and women in childbirth (right after she was born, she helped her mother deliver her twin brother, Apollo). She has a group of huntresses (which any girl is allowed to join, so long as they forgo marriage) and she basically becomes like an adoptive mother towards them (she also, in general, likes to take in strays. She’s goddess of moon and hunting so she spends more time in the wild and at night, whereas Apollo spends more time in civilization in the daytime).

Apollo - Leo

Obvious leo is obvious 🦁. Leo's ruling planet is the sun, and is symbolized by a lion with a ~fabulous~ golden main. Apollo is the sun god (among other things). He drives the sun chariot every day and is always described as having long blond (or ✨golden✨) locks, a golden tan, and is just ridiculously bright and golden overall. Hence his other name being "Phoebos Apollo" (Phoebus meaning “bright”). Leo rules the 5th house, which is basically the house of having fun and being yourself, which matches Apollo. He's one of the more active and fun personalities. He's an over achiever (God of music, poetry, prophecy, archery, young men) and is considered to be the most beautiful male god on Olympus. Like most Leos, humility is not his greatest strength, to say the least. He's dramatic, loves attention and likes to stand out and be the sun (around which everything revolves), like a leo, too.

Hephaestus - Taurus

I really don't know why, and I'm exhausted from writing so much for everyone else. I really don't know which sign to put him in, but Taurus seems to match him. Mainly because he's patient and calm. He's a kind(er) soul who just minds his business and does his work. I know Taurus gets a bad rap for being "lazy", but Taurus actually are quite hard workers. They just like to work on their own terms, and usually the more "slow and steady" type (but still hard work with results). Tauruses also love beautiful things, and Hephaestus is an amazing craftsman who's created the most beautiful jewelry that's ever been made. Taurus is also a very possessive sign that is easily prone to jealousy when it comes to their romantic partner. This is exactly how Hephaestus is when it comes to his wife, Aphrodite (who frequently cheats, since she never wanted to marry him in the first place). The fact that Haphaestus STILL loves her and tries his best to prove himself to her an impress her by making all that jewelery for her (even though it's clear that she just doesn't love him, and the relationship won't ever be what he wants) is something a Taurus would do, as they are solid, committed people. Once they've decided they want to make a relationship work, they're fully committed to it. He does have a temper, but it's generally a long fuse, and he seems to function by the law of "don't start none, won't be none". Very Taurus. They mind their business and they don't start mess...but they will end it. The Taurus fuse is very long, but once it goes off...

Aphrodite - Libra

Obvious Libra is obvious😘. Libra is ruled by Venus, the Roman counterpart of Aphrodite. As the goddess of love and beauty, I don't think it's all that surprising to have Aphrodite be a Libras. Libras could flirt for their nation. They're also a bit vain, like Aphrodite, and they can be people pleasers. But, it's well intentioned. Libras are the scale because they like balance and harmony, and they generally don't care for discord or unpleasantries. Aphrodite is the mother of the goddess Harmonia (goddess of harmony) as well. The vanity also comes from their artistic love of beauty, as libra a generally a very creative sign. If the libra themselves isn't creative, they at least appreciate creativity and art.

Hermes - Gemini

Obvious Gemini is obvious. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which is the Roman counterpart to Hermes. Gemini are multifaceted which makes sense for Hermes as he does a lot of different things. Kind of like a jack of all trades but master of none kind of deal. Hermes is one of the smartest gods in a witty, inventive and humorous way. He was Zeus's second favourite child and his favourite son, and has a more trickster vibe to him. A bit of a scam artist. Hermes is also the god of travelers and thieves. Man just has a way of charming people into liking him, which is a very Gemini trait. As the messenger for the gods, Hermes is also the god of communication (probably a bit of a gossip)...and lord knows Gemini's can talk your ear off. Hermes has a pair of sandles with wings to help with his messenger duties, so he's very fast and is all over the place, since he was so much to do and is always on the go (Gemini rules the 3rd house which is the house of, among other things, short distance travel).

Dionysus - Aquarius

The laid back stoner of the group. And a cult leader. He not only invented wine, but was also the god of substance use, ecstasy and madness. I find it hard to describe Dionysus just like I find it hard to describe Aquarius. I know that traits, but they're just too complex to be able to describe in a single sentence.​ Like Aquarius, Dionysus and his cult originally was a place where marginalized people could feel free. Sticking it to the man and whatnot, which goes with the activism and revolution that comes with Aquarius, along with the idea of paradise.

One more note: I should’ve mentioned this in my last post but compatibility between signs doesn’t only apply to romantic relationships, it applies to any kind of relationship like friendships, family relations, etc. It’s just that when it comes to more platonic relationships, wholly incompatible signs are more likely to be able to work something out together. So I mentioned before that Air signs are the least in tune with their emotions, are the thinkers before they act, are horribly indecisive, and these very much apply to Geminis as well. Okay so first of all, let’s talk about Violet adapting to other characters to ‘fit in’. It’s not as obvious because Violet DOES seem to have one very fixed personality, but Violet prefers to speak through actions rather than words, so I would call her following Emma to help the children at GP a Gemini move. She could’ve simply dragged her to Lucas—she’s probably strong enough to do so, but instead she decided to go along with her. Overview: the first time I looked up Oliver’s birthday I went “Scorpio???? REALLY????” but then this is another case where the more I think about it, it does indeed make sense. If Leos are the natural leaders of the Fire signs, then Scorpios are the natural leaders of the Water signs. Where Cancers and Pisces will often lose themselves to their emotions, Scorpios have a very strong handle on them. I mentioned before that Water signs are at the highest emotional level, but Scorpios are a bit of an interesting case because you oftentimes won’t even notice that they’re very emotional people. They try to act like Air signs in that way, but their true colors are always there, waiting to be coaxed out.

For Oliver, you can clearly tell that his emotional bond with his friends and especially with Lucas is very high—but even so, he doesn’t let his emotions cloud his judgment or his ability to adapt to the situation at hand. Where earth signs are very fixed and difficult to move, water signs are always moving and changing to find solutions best suited for new circumstances. The best example I can give is the part where the music plays early, and despite internally panicking about it, Oliver is the one who naturally steps up to calm everyone down.

Scorpios are great at handling others’ emotions as well as their own, which makes them marvelously empathetic leaders. We stan.

Overview: yall,,,, when I found out Lucas was a Saggy Titty I legitimately guffawed out loud. Lucas and Sagittarius is so funny.... because it’s so wrong. Saggy Titties are the definition of chaos, they’re brazen, impulsive, and constantly changing. Like think of a frat boy in a house full of beer and pool tables and hot girls and you get Sagittarius. This is why I have never met a Sagittarius I like—because they have frat boy energy, and even non-male Sagittariuses require wayyy too much energy for me to handle. I guess the only time Lucas really does act like a Sagittarius is in his childhood with Yuugo, and the way he’s a lot bolder and outgoing versus the quieter older Lucas we have now.

It is important to note that Lucas has been through a lot of trauma and lost a lot of comrades which could very well change the a person’s entire outlook and turn their personality 180 degrees—that could be a large factor, although on the flip side, Yuugo still fits his Capricorn sign even after going through what he’s been through. Different events affect different people differently. Lucas was most likely knocked entirely off his Sagittarius high-horse very quickly when he arrived in Goldy Pond. But if I had no prior knowledge of who he was beforehand, I very well might’ve pegged him a Leo like Emma or even another subtle Aries like Norman. So yes, he does indeed have fire energy, it’s just generally very lackluster and farrrr away from Sagittarius’ level.

Compatibility and ships: okay so I know the only Lucas ship with any weight to it in this fandom is Yuucas, and here’s the thing,,, A Sagittarius and Capricorn combo is the most horrifying fucking couple imaginable and I’m stan so hard. Realistically speaking, your Capricorns would try to put a leash on their Sagittariuses because man. I forgot to mention how childish Sagittariuses can be (though the frat boy comparison should’ve been a clue), and holy shit that poor Capricorn is gonna get ripped to shreds by their Sagittarius. Overview: My authors I am begging you, stop putting character birthdays in the Sagittarius zone you clearly don’t know what a Sagittarius is.

Since I refuse to acknowledge Paula as a Sagittarius, let’s talk about what sign she actually acts like because I said so. Paula’s a Virgo. Fight me Shirai. (Also im sus that shirai is virgophobic because where the fuck are my virgos. There’s like zero major characters that are virgos, and the characters that ARE don’t even act like virgos. I’m coming for your small intestine Shirai) so as earth signs, virgos are generally pretty resourceful and of course level-headed. They’re kinda shy and reserved, but they’re also very hard workers you can count on when you need to get a job done. Nary will you find a Virgo that procrastinates or attempts to weasel their way out of a mission they’ve been given. The unmovable earth in virgos shows through in how committed they are, and we can see all these traits in Paula. Though she’s a quieter member of the GP resistance, you can tell just how much of an asset she is to them. She doesn’t run, doesn’t lose her cool, and she’s good at pointing out important details.

Compatibility and ships: I guess, astrologically speaking, as a Sagittarius, Paula does fit pretty well with Sonya because she’s a Gemini. Overview: these two are what I call the gemini twins bECAUSE THEYRE ALWAYS HANGING OUT AND ITS SO TRUE GEMINIS LOVE EACH OTHER BUT ALSO ITS SO WEIRD THAT WE GET ALONG. imagine like two of those one way mirrors facing each other where it just goes on and on and on for infinite mirror and that’s what two Geminis hanging out is like. Look, they’re literally thinking the same thing and it’s so great

Anyway there isn’t a whole lot of Sandy and Sonya content to go off of in the first place, but them being Geminis seems reasonable to me—at the very least they are indeed meant to get along well and they’re so in sync I could cry. Plus they’re pretty intuitive and able to think right on the spot as they’re facing Nous and Nouma (at least at first) My man Shirai also.. really likes Geminis for some reason because they keep popping up. Overview: so I mentioned before that water signs are at about the highest emotion level, which makes Pisces a very sensitive group like Cancers. But Pisces in general are known for being the kindest and most accepting people as well, which means they’re able to make a lot of friends very easily. They’re basically that one person you sat next to in class who started a conversation with you just to be nice. Now again, there’s not a whole lot of Pepe content to go off of, but we can tell he’s kind and loving to his friends and the other kids in GP. One thing I can mention is that Pisces usually are the one of the nosiest of the signs, and they get very bothered by lies and secrets (this is true for a lot of water signs, but Pisces are the worst in my experience) so we got this single piece that may have a little bit of the Pisces in Pepe showing:

Overview: so do I think Zack fits his sign? Yes, in a way I do. I already went into Cancers when I explained Don, so quick recap: Cancers are some of the most sensitive and empathetic, so their loyalty to their loved ones is pretty close to on-par with an Aries. And while Zack isn’t as outwardly emotional as someone like Don, the Cancer in him shows up well in that he’s constantly taking extremely difficult missions he doesn’t want his friends to risk, and he shrugs off any injury to himself.

This might just be a me thing but almost every Cancer I’ve met has a habit of doing That. I am so concerned for their safety. I guess though, if I hadn’t known his sign beforehand, I 100% would’ve pegged him an Aries.

Overview: here’s a fun one. So as I previously stated, air signs are usually out of tune with their emotions, but where that causes Aquariuses and Geminis to repress or hide them, Libras,,,, just dump them everywhere. Listen I know Libras are supposed to be the sign of the balance scales and they have a thing about the world being perfectly balanced which makes them more prone to revenge bUT ALSO. MY first and foremost takeaway from Libras is that they all suffer from Rich Bitch syndrome, in which they obsess over material items and every Libra has a thing about cute girly stuff change my mind. I had really, honestly thought I was being nice and doing a favor when I volunteered to help the FBI on a case of recent murders occurring just outside of my college campus. After all, I was doing my thesis on the exact topic of the rituals used by the serial killer currently rampaging near my hometown. It was also convenient, considering I was already a suspect, and I wanted to explain why I would know way better than to fuck with the curses this person was messing with.

However, as I was practically sprinting down the hallway to rid myself of a voice like squeaky taffy stuck in my teeth, I'd realized my mistake.

“You’re completely full of shit!” I shouted, rubbing my temples as I continued to quickly walk away from Dr. Reid, who had been following me and asking questions for the past ten minutes.

At first, we seemed to get along well enough. He recognized that my STEM degrees meant we could talk about somewhat complex topics without having to explain simple concepts.

Then we got on the subject of witchcraft, and everything went to hell. That was three days ago, and he was still mad. To be fair, the first time our conversation got pretty heated. I may have called him some nasty words and threatened to curse him.

I don’t know. He was rude. I didn’t actually do it!

“How am I full of shit?” he barked back before following me into my room.

I immediately approached my altar, hoping to find some reprieve from the suffering he insisted on inflicting.

“You’re just so… so… transparent!” I gestured to him and then turned my attention back to the objects on the table, pulling out a red candle and propping it on the holder before quickly lighting it.

“If anything, you should be lighting yellow or purple, to salvage whatever of your intelligence hasn’t been corrupted at this point.”

I took a deep breath before turning around, clapping my hands together and sweetly replying, “I need the red for the strength to put up with your bullshit.”

Another one of his coworkers entered, thankfully distracting him for a couple of minutes while I rearranged the objects in front of me.

“Alright. I need to go check on JJ. I’ll come back to get you as soon as I can. Take a look around the surrounding area if you can," the man commanded with both presence and tone, "And Reid, please, for the love of god, leave the woman alone.”

I snickered as the person began to leave, but I called out to them before they could disappear. “Wait! When’s his birthday?”

“Don't tell her-!”

“He’s a Scorpio!” they called back.

Score.

I couldn’t help but laugh, that devilish chuckle that meant I was armed with knowledge I was ready to wield.

“Of course you’re a Scorpio!”

He looked perplexed, and for a second he clearly considered asking at all. But his desire to be petty won out, and he threw his hands to the side as he exclaimed, “What does that even mean?!”

“It means I know everything there is to know about you, Spencer,” I offered in the most condescending tone I could muster, recalling his name from a previous conversation. He did not look enthused.

“I highly doubt that.”

Pushing myself up to sit on the edge of my altar, I pulled out my box of crystals from a drawer. I didn’t say anything, but I did happily hum a soft tune while I dug around the box. I knew what I was looking for.

“Come here, kid,” I called, beckoning him closer as he sighed.

I swear I could hear him rolling his eyes as he mumbled, “What now?”

I pulled out a small wrapped gem, dutifully attaching it to a leather bracelet. He didn’t say anything, just watching my hands work while I casually glanced up at him.

“Give me your hand,” I instructed once I finally finished.

He looked incredibly apprehensive, and immediately responded, “No way in hell.”

“Oh my god, you’re so fucking annoying. We’re not in hell, we’re at my fucking altar. Give me your hand.”

More insistently this time, I held my hand out to take his. He offered it to me with caution, wincing a bit when I attached the bracelet onto his left wrist.

“… What is it.”

It was hardly a question. He wasn’t exactly the politest.

“It’s a gift. I think you could benefit from it. You’re welcome.”

He sighed once more, running his hand through his hair before inspecting his wrist.

“How would a smoky quartz help me?” he droned, shifting his wrist to grow accustomed to the feeling. He didn’t remove it though.

I stared into his eyes, narrowing mine as I gave a sly grin that shifted to another sweet smile.

“I just think it matches your eyes.”

His response was quick and harsh, “You’re full of shit.”

I leaned back, already growing angry yet again. He couldn’t just leave things alone. He had to argue about it.

Typical Scorpio.

“Why do you insist on changing my mind?” My tone was much more patient for now, although it would not last long. I was trying to be understanding, which cannot be said for him.

“Because you’re smart!”

I laughed bitterly in response, crossing my legs as I allowed him to continue.

“You have a degree in Astrophysics from Caltech! I went to Caltech!”

“Okay, so? I know that I’m smart,” I crowed, holding a hand to my chest.

He tried to hide it, but I saw the way his eyes followed. They lingered on the exposed cleavage dressed in silver and gems.

“You’re a woman of science! How can you spend 4 years of your life studying the physics and science of the stars, the literal birth of the universe, and still believe that their position on the day I was born dictates what personality I’ll have?!”

Ah. Got him. I reached forward, grabbing his face and pulling him closer to me. I could feel the heat of his skin under my hands, and I knew that this personal vendetta he had against the unknown was not helped by the things he clearly felt towards me. I would be willing to bet it had a lot to do with the misguided anger.

“That’s exactly why I know they do!” I challenged, feeling the way his muscles twitched as he clenched his jaw.

He pulled his face back, but his body moved forward. What a quirky little man.

“That makes no sense!”

I rolled my eyes, gesturing to the moon chart above my head in yet another plea for a bit of skepticism. Just a smidge.

“The moon moves the tides, why is it crazy to believe that it can impact us, too?!”

He scrunched up his face in disgust, like I had broken one of the cardinal laws of logic. But I hadn’t, and I think that was the largest source of rage. He couldn’t pretend like I was just a naive fool. We shared an alma mater.

Still, that didn’t stop him from sneering, “Don’t act like there’s some scientific basis to this bullshit.”

No matter how angry he sounded, his expression gave so much away. He was steeled, reserved, and cautious. I think he knew that if it weren’t me, the woman who had so blatantly challenged him almost immediately, he would acknowledge the science behind my beliefs. After all, he was smart, too, and there is a reason for every religious belief somewhere, whether it be history or science.

That being said, it was fun to mess with him, and I knew the perfect way to really piss him off.

“Just because you aren’t clever enough to understand it doesn’t mean it’s not science!”

Frantic, he turned around, running his hands over his face to compose himself before approaching me again, his voice loud as he enunciated clearly, “There is nothing scientific about the occult!”

He was so close, my foot rested casually against his thigh. I smiled and leaned forward. He looked down at me, his chest heaving as his breath fanned hot and heavy against my face. Honestly, I wanted to go off on him, to meet his hostility with my own fury. But with our bodies touching, I realized there was a much more productive way to deal with this disagreement.

“Bitch,” I whispered, popping my lips on the first consonant.

He licked his lips, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion and frustration as he scrutinized my features for a clue as to what I was doing.

“… Did you seriously just call me a bitch?”

With a giggle and a simper, I maintained the close distance between our faces, uncrossing my legs to hook one around his waist. He didn’t break eye contact as I said, “Yeah, I did.”

Still staring into my eyes and sharing body heat, he tilted his head closer to me, whispering just apart from my lips, “Go fuck yourself.”

His tone was deadly serious, but his body was giving me so many unmistakable clues. I gasped lightly as his hand slid up my thigh underneath my sheer black cardigan.

“Fuck me yourself, you coward,” the words rolled off my tongue as a fire lit in my eyes. I was reminded of the sexual properties of a red candle, but decided not to share that with him.

Wouldn’t that make him mad, though?

“Excuse me?” he asserted, no doubt trying to make sure he heard me correctly before we cross this line.

Without an ounce of doubt in my voice, I growled, “I said fuck me yourself. Coward.”

He didn’t let me say it again. That time, his mouth crashed onto mine with the force of a hurricane. His hands were much the same, one grabbing the back of my head to press his mouth even harder against mine. I moaned into the kiss as his hand on my thigh moved up with ease, taking the bottom of my velvet dress with it. He took advantage of my open mouth and slipped his tongue in to battle with mine.

I wasn’t having it. He was gonna have to try harder than that. I bit down lightly on his tongue for just a moment, and once I released him, he retaliated by biting down hard on my bottom lip. That alone was exciting enough for me, but his hands tugging on my underwear was downright thrilling. I would have helped prop myself up for him to remove them, but he dropped his hand from my head, using it instead to wrap around my waist and lift me off the table.

“You do this often?” I panted, enjoying the way it felt for our bodies to be pressed together.

He didn’t answer. No matter, I didn’t really care about his answer. His tongue was back in my mouth before I knew it, and we joined in a firm, sloppy dance. The stubble on his chin scratched against my already hot skin, and I felt like that man would leave remnants of his memory on my body for days.

When his mouth left mine, it didn’t go far. Soon he was attached to my pulse point, sucking gently while his hands worked to pull my dress and necklaces to the side. My hips rocked, seeking any friction where I was most desperately seeking it. But then his mouth was over my breast, as if he could devour me whole. I cried out, my hands holding onto him as he nipped at my nipples.

“Goddess, your mouth is so much better at this than talking.”

He stopped, clearly a punishment for my quip. His bottom lip dragged along my skin as he groaned, “Shut the fuck up.”

His mouth back to sucking harshly on my chest, I threw my head back, now wrapping both legs around him and pulling his crotch against mine. I took one hand from him and reached across to my nightstand, haphazardly opening and pulling out a roll of condoms.

Threading my fingers through his hair, I pulled his head back to look me in the eyes as I held them up to him and snarled, “Make me.”

Both his hands were off me in a matter of seconds, but in the best possible way. He tore off one of the condoms, holding it in his mouth as he started to unbuckle his pants. I watched him with that trademark devilish smirk, enjoying the show.

“I’ve never fucked a Scorpio before. No offense, but you’ve got a lot to live up to.”

He did not like my taunt.

Good. That was kind of the plan.

I took the condom wrapped from his mouth, tearing it open carefully and grabbing his now exposed erection and rolling the latex onto him. When he came closer to me and lined himself up at my entrance, I gave him a playful grin. I let the anticipation wash over me. I could feel the head of his arousal against mine, and I was already a mess. My legs were shaking, and I heard a dark chuckle in my ear.

“I’m going to fucking destroy you.”

His first thrust was rough and deep, immediately filling me to capacity. I grunted to try not to scream. I didn’t want him to have the satisfaction yet. He would have to earn my moans. I had high expectations for him.

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” I slurred as he pulled me to the edge of the table and somehow pushed himself even deeper into me.

He took his time pulling out, but then snapped back into me.  He went to kiss me but stopped at the last second. I bit down on his lip, pulling it towards me with a smirk.

His voice was crackling and rough as he groaned, “God, you’re such a fucking bitch.”

With those words, he set off on a merciless crusade. His hand on my hip dug harshly into the soft skin. I could feel each of his fingernails leaving small crescent indents layers deep. The other hand was mixed within the chains on my neck. The silver wrapped around his hand reflected flickering candlelight as he held me in place.

I couldn’t stop smiling, which only seemed to encourage him to fuck me harder, faster, and rougher. The wooden table knocked against the wall, and I braced myself against the surface.

“Better hurry if you don’t want your coworkers to come back and find you fucking a lady on her altar.”

He tugged tighter on my necklaces, bringing me up to lay another sloppy kiss on my mouth. He only broke to take a breath, but then continued to slam into me.

“You’re hardly a lady.”

I took the moment to sneak my lips down to his neck, kissing whatever exposed skin I could find. I could be cruel and mark him up to explain to his coworkers… but did he really deserve that torment?

“You’re more like a goddamn succubus.”

Oh, yes. He did. He did deserve it.

Using that as the only excuse I needed to suck the soul out of this man through his neck, I latched onto him. His moans filled the room, accompanied by the percussive pounding of skin.

I dragged my teeth down his throat before mumbling against his skin, “Does this feel like a dream, Spencer?”

“It’s a fucking nightmare,” he immediately replied, shifting my hips and almost knocking me onto my back in the process.

“Shit!” I cried as he drove even deeper into me. I grabbed onto his shoulders with both hands, recognizing him as my only choice for anchor to this world. His hand finally released the jewels around my neck just as he shoved his thumb into my mouth. I happily accepted his offering, sucking on it with the same fervor I had his neck.

“I knew your mouth would be just as talented,” he groaned, clearly upset that he wouldn’t get to experience all of my talents before the other agents returned.

When he tried to take it from my mouth, I pulled on it harder.

“Fuck," he moaned before finally regaining control.

This escapade was coming to an end, and I wasn’t ready. I would have stayed like this forever, letting him destroy me as he promised. Spencer wasn’t done yet, either. His hand sneaked down to where our bodies met, and the finger that was in my mouth seconds before began swiping against my clit before I could form any coherent thought.

“Gods,” I whined, my voice shrill and desperate.

With a small nip on my ear Spencer barked, “There aren’t any others here. Just me. Guess you’ll have to pray to me now.”

The mixture of blasphemy and pride was apparently all I needed for the ever-growing tension in my body to break. I’m not certain which shook harder, my legs or the table.

“S-Spencer,” I panted.

He never stopped his animalistic pace, even as my body clenched around him, trying to keep him anchored within me.

“Good girl,” he praised.

It was one of the longest orgasms I’d ever experienced. Time felt like it had dragged into an infinite loop, where Spencer and I were one and the same. My nails trying to grip onto whatever they could, but slipping on his dress shirt. I didn’t know how long it was before he began to stagger, his thrusts harder but further apart. Every noise I tried to make was more like a choked, mangled scream. He didn’t seem to mind.

I expected his eyes to be closed when he came, but they weren’t. In fact, he grabbed my chin, roughly positioning my face in front of his. His gaze bore into me like he could actually see into my soul. I let him. I accepted his invitation and his offer.

I felt the pain, fear, and sadness in him. I tried my hardest to take it from him as he made one final thrust. I could barely keep my eyes open through it, feeling the way he twitched inside of me as he came.

Exhausted and exhilarated, we stayed there for a moment longer. His chest heaved with the breaths we forgot to take, and he slumped over just enough that our foreheads pressed against one another. The eye contact was challenging, draining, and beautiful. I could feel the energy between us, sharing things we wouldn’t dare speak into existence. Before he could pull out of me and leave, he had to close his eyes. My legs shook as they fell back down to hang off the table.

He couldn’t look me in the eyes anymore.

“You lived up to it, by the way.”

He still didn’t look at me as he tossed the used rubber into the trash, but his body turned towards me. I think I saw him smile, but he didn’t reply.

“Smoky quartz is one of the birthstones for Scorpios. It can transform pessimism and negative energy into joy. It’s used as a talisman against night terrors.”

Spencer turned to fully looked at me then, confused and incredulous. He had readjusted his clothes to hide all evidence of what just happened. Slowly, he approached me. Once he was in front of me, I grabbed the charm on his wrist, looking into his eyes as I concluded.

Spencer’s breath hitched, my words having their desired effect. He was trying to figure out how I knew, but the most obvious answer was sitting in front of him.

“I think…” he whispered, not even hearing the front door open as the other members returned, “I think you might actually be a witch.”

I didn’t take my eyes off him, despite someone opening the door to a room that smelled like sweat and sex. I grabbed his hair, pulling him down into a tender kiss. Releasing him and hopping off the altar, I waved a hand in the air.

“That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you, darling.”

rikki/nikki ramblings‼️ thinking about them (what else is new🙄)

i really don’t know anything about astrology but i got curious and decided to see about love compatibility between leo (rikki) and scorpio (nikki) and this just. fucking slapped me across the face.

I MEAN?

if it isn’t already obvious by the 90s rikki/nikki art i’ve been doodling lately, their relationship has just been at the forefront of my mind these past couple of days. just like. idk. rotating them around in my mind. i mean besides the obvious just thinking about them being sweet and married or whatever, just thinking about like. their dynamic.

it’s just nice because i like couples where it just very clearly feels like they were made for each other, like they complement the other’s personality in away that fits just right. i think in rikki’s case, especially in his younger days, he needs someone who is more pragmatic and can keep him grounded while not being a stick in the mud. someone who can have plenty of fun and likes to do it in the same wild ways he does, but someone who is still gonna make sure he gets up in the morning and goes to work. meanwhile nikki needs someone who can allow her to open even more and remove this sort of mask she wears in public and who will understand and love her for who she is, not who she pretends to be.
