even if Luigi himself says he did it, he deserves a fair trial. he deserves to be presumed innocent. because both of these are rights afforded to him by the constitution of his country. and because even if he did in fact do it, he hasn't said that and he has pleaded not guilty, the prosecution has to actually prove he is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt. and from what we know of the evidence there's plenty of reasonable doubt. moreover Luigi has nowhere not for a single second tried to kill himself. if he had indeed done it and he wanted to kill himself, he had to have had plenty of time before he got arrested – five whole days in fact. he has never shown himself to want to be a martyr or a symbol of a resistance movement that the people of his country can't even organize properly/very effectively. if he did want to make himself a symbol or a martyr like the way you want him to be, he could have simply given himself up to the authorities after the deed was done. he could have confessed everything to the cops, then or at the time of his arrest or anytime in between or even in the future. but that hasn't happened and that won't happen. Luigi and his legal team are fighting the charges and will continue fighting the charges until it ends with him being killed by the death penalty (extremely unlikely at NY), or rotting in prison because of LWOP, or getting acquitted due to a number of reasons. moreover he does not want to die and has clearly shown that he in fact wants to live, and it doesn't matter if he did it or not. he should be able to live. his right to life should not be taken away from him. it is the most fundamental of all human rights. death penalties are the most barbaric tools still kept alive in the modern society to enforce organised violence from the people in power. Luigi also deserves the right to live properly, not just survive somehow in LWOP. because like people like you think, he did it but you support him for it. so clearly you should also be wanting him to be free and to be able to live the life that he wants to live?? but of course not. y'all are dumb that way. also making Luigi a martyr or a symbol of a revolution that will probably never happen (at least not in a country like USA where there has never been a successful revolution in history because the majority population does not know how to organise at all) is absolutely useless. i don't get gender stuff but i saw your post and i'm curious, what does being nonbinary mean? i've met many people who aren't 100% feminine or masculine, aren't they also non-binary?

I mean, I’m just gonna throw you in the deep end here, but basically, all gender’s made up, but since so is everything else humans do, it still matters a lot to people that you call them what they want to be called. nonbinary’s a category that’s gonna cover a whole range of experiences with gender that people will decide for themselves if they define as a nonbinary one. they say they are, they are. they say they aren’t, they aren’t. for bonus points, you can ask them what it means for them personally and you’ll see real quick how varied it can be.

not that that only goes for nonbinary people. you’ll get the same variation if you ask someone what it is to be a man to them, what it is to be a woman, agender, bigender, the whole kit and kaboodle. for instance, you brought up someone who might not act 100% masculine or feminine. they very well might identify as nonbinary, just as much as they might identify as a man. to them, they might even perceive their own expression as 100% masculine in ways you don’t perceive. two people who act and look the same might identify in very different ways because their internal perceptions of gender differ based on their lived experience.

basically, just like how you understand and conceptualize your own gender using the social categories and words you’ve got available to you, so does everyone else. best course of action is you ask, you believe, and if you’ve got the time, you inquire further cause people’s ideas about their own genders are incredibly fascinating. does that help?

Thistle: Once again, a headcanon based on what I saw in canon... I think that Thistle does, in fact, have a sense of humour, it's just pretty dark. His idea of making jokes as a jester was mostly insulting people in creative ways (well, still is). And I feel like that gag of presenting dead main characters as dishes in reverse to what they've been doing to his monsters is also a perfect example of what Thistle thinks is funny (I'm convinced that it would have been his idea)

Ciel: ...if I had a nickel for every time Ciel set a building with children on fire, I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but funny how that happened twice. To be fair, he only meant to kill everyone the first time. The next time the idea was to just force everyone out of the building. But still.

Can we talk about Xerxes Break? Let’s talk about Xerxes Break, because we should definitely talk about Xerxes Break.

One thing that not many people understand, but also the thing that I adore about him, is how he doesn’t give a single flying fuck about being socially appropriate. So, he wouldn't try particularly hard to maintain a decorum and act nice, if he doesn’t like you - he will let you know. This man must not be allowed to hang around the high society, yet there he is. Insulting nobles.

And take a look at this:

Break can either say things politely with a sourest face, or smile pleasantly while telling you to go fuck yourself (Words cannot describe how much Break hates Vincent)

Or sometimes he will just insult you through his doll, as if it wasn't him, just because he can.

It's actually canon that he has... questionable reputation. It was mentioned by Sharon in one of the chapters, that Break's colleagues in Pandora talk behind his back because of his arrogance and shitty attitude...

I just think it's funny how, of all things, this is the type of situation where Xerxes almost always choses to tell the truths of what he thinks.

He's so mean and rude, I'm in love with him.

8. Anyone you don't have an F/O but like (be it a crush or just affinity)? Why aren't they an F/O? Can you imagine them ever being one? Why or why not?

For the record: it’s been almost a year since I got into Touchstarved, actually. I just didn’t talk much about it before… Partly because it’s still in development and I prefer not to run ahead of the train and get too invested in the fanon (of which most of the fandom consists right now), to avoid getting disappointed when canon information will get revealed. So for now I am eagerly awaiting the day of the release, because the game IS amazing, and I need more of it.

So. Kuras and Mhin. Since I myself actually want to clarify what is going on.

As I already said, the two criteria needed for a f/o is this: 1. I have to be in love with the character; 2. I have to be able to create a proper lore for the self ship with them.

And, well, because the game is still in development, Kuras and Mhin have yet to fulfil those criteria... But I am indeed attracted to them, even if not as intensely as to my official f/os, so right now they are placed in the separate list of crushes.

To be honest, I do have some ideas for self ships with them already, and I already have a s/i... Just not enough to consistently make content about it here – not enough information, I don’t even know how the plot of the game will go and who they truly are as people!..

But. If you are curious, I can surely post more about them, my Touchstarved s/i, and my ideas for the ships!

P.S. Crushing on Vere, huh? Funnily enough, he's a favourite character of my best friend, but I myself like him the least out of the main cast. Though that's mainly because I find him so difficult to deal with. As a character, I think Vere is great (and frustratingly pretty), it's just that I don't understand him at all... However! I am now curious of how you perceive him and what could be his dynamic with your s/i.

My 6 year old son asked when was his apricot tree's birthday, which lead to a very interesting conversation regarding seeds sprouting and grafting. Honestly, explaining where his sister came from was way easier. I'm not even touching the fungi kingdom until he's older.

We have not learned how to acceptably criticize others and we have not learned how to gracefully accept it from others. It reeks of codependency. We need to make maximal effort to undo the damage that may have been inflicted upon us in childhood. If we equate a criticism of our BEHAVIOR as an attack on OURSELVES, then we have some work to do. If this notion that we are separate from our actions makes you uncomfortable, you need to do some reflecting, and that’s not me “coming for you”! We also need to stop just throwing around criticism when we are heated or feeling resentful. Criticism is a tool that we all NEED. Desperately. In order to change for the better. But we need to know how to wield it. If you have a genuine criticism of someone’s choices (someone you care about) learn how to tell them calmly, so that they might be able to take your concern to heart and use it for the better. The goal should never be to cause pain. Learn this before it’s too late.

Ngl I am annoyed at the way new parents are parenting sometimes not because "oh the old way was better", but because so many took gentle parenting and turned it into spineless parenting instead. PLEASE educate your children and help them ask questions and be curious about the world. Don't let them just do whatever they want because "that's gentle parenting", it's not, you're just setting them up to fail when they have to deal with consequences for their behavior elsewhere
